Awesome service, friendly customers, tons of games on every tv, we had the beef dip and BBQ chicken sandwich. Both were great and we will be back to try the burgers. The locals all love this place and were very friendly to us. Great find for us after Coachella.

First time customer and I loved it! Awesome food (got the Moopocalypse), great atmosphere and music. Will definitely be back.

This is a hidden gem in highland! Great steaks if you are feeling spendy. The beef dip is one of the best I have ever had and at ten bucks a deal. They subbed a salad instead of fries with no up charge. Great experience.

The food here was horrible along with the service. Our waitress forgot to bring half of our food out and no two plates looked the same. One was always missing something. Would not go here again

The only thing I have ordered from here has been the M&B cheese steak which is thin sliced rib-eye on a roll. When I want to eat a good cheese steak I go here. Menu is limited, like a bar menu. Good USDA cuts of beef on the menu, but pricey. Great selection of beers and plenty of tv's to watch the game. 3 stars because sometimes service is slow.

Had the BBQ Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich and it was delicious! Paired it with tater tots and they were ALL cooked to perfection. Hubby had The Moopocalypse and LOVED it. The Beer on tap is great The staff is excellent, the owner is awesome and the atmosphere is perfect. Great place to watch the KINGS game! Go KINGS Go!

Went here Superbowl Sunday. Nice little place, but appetizers were not great. Had the nacho plate and wings. Nacho plate was not good, not served on tortilla chips and were cold. Waitress was a little overwhelmed with all the ppl but was very nice. Not a great first time visit, but we'll probably come back for a 2nd try. They do have pool tables and games, which I would enjoy on another day.

I have been here several times and have always had a good meal. Their steaks are excellent but a bit pricey. I will usually split a plate with my wife and we order an appetizer. It is plenty and there is no up charge for splitting. The filet mignon melts in your mouth. I would highly recommend a visit.

Perfect place to bring either the boys or the whole family If you wanted to. Amazing customer service and just an all around perfect environment for any occasion. The food is on a different level from any other bar in the highland redlands area by a landslide. Definitely affordable prices for the quality meats that come out that door. Don't pass this place up ever.

Half off Wine Wednesday, which means a glass of house merlot is $2.50, and a $10 steak special that is always cooked perfectly! Need I say more?

We stumbled on to this place after attending a, 66ers game, and despite some yelp reviews we went. We now come every Monday night and I look forward to coming, the food I'd great the service is great and the atmosphere is very relaxing, in fact my husband has even talked about having his retirement party here. If you are in Highland stop by you'll be glad you did

Usually fairly good, but today it sucked. We brought some friends over here to have a lunch, thinking that we would be provided with the service and quality that we have come to expect from this restaurant. At about 12 noon, there were about seven other diners in the restaurant, and only one server that I could see. We were seated at a corner booth large enough for all of us but almost in seclusion. The bulk or the other customers were seated in the bar area. Drinks arrived and an appetizer was ordered. As some of us were still deciding on lunch, the server departed the table to put in the appetizer order, stating that she would return "in a few minutes" to collect our lunch orders. After a noticeably long time, the server returned with the appetizer, and took our lunch orders. There were six of us. Hamburgers and some simple sandwiches, along with a very basic fish taco plate took nearly thirty minutes for the kitchen to plate, and the server to deliver. By the time we received our orders, we were so hungry that we began to consume the food without much concern. It didn't take long to realize that most of our meals had been prepared poorly. Over salted, over cooked or thrown together. I would have let this go without comment, but my burger was $12, as was the average for most of the meals we bought. Seems to me that for this much money, you could at least get a decent hamburger. It took three tries to get the check split properly - waiting each time for the server to return. Nothing happened that I thought was bad enough to cause us to walk out, but annoying enough to be embarrassed by recommending this restaurant to our friends. I got the impression there was something going on in the kitchen that was impacting the level of service. Either the cook was a stand-in, or just inexperienced - or just lousy. The experience we received was not what I have come to expect from this venue. We dined on a Sunday, and I did not see the owner in the restaurant. I may give them another shot, but I will not bring anyone else here until I am sure it is back on track.

The food is great and you can taste that quality. Lots of TV and Mike the owner takes TV request. Great place to chill and enjoy some brews and food.

Not impressed. Steak was mediocre at best, service was not very good. Prices were cheap. Expected a lot better, but received an experience that was more in line with Buffalo Wild Wings.

The name kept me away for years, don't let that happen to you. Once we finally gave this local spot a try we were pleasantly surprised. My first visit was probably the first time I ever ordered steak at a sports bar and I was impressed. I had the rib eye and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Their fries and onion rings are good and they have Hangar 24 Orange Wheat on tap. I recommend the Moopocalypse burger. The place is always clean and they have a pool table, foosball, and shuffleboard. Kids are welcome and there are plenty of TVs. One of the best parts about Moo & Brew is that they have speakers that you can have brought to your table that allow you to listen to the audio from whichever TV you want. If you're a big sports fan, that's huge. 4/5 stars because of the food. Some things are really good but others (mainly the sandwiches) are just ok. We've never had anything bad, but expect better.

Yummers! First visit and it was such a wonderful surprise. The remodel looks amazing - clean, comfy booths and the TV wasn't too loud in the dining area. We had fried pickles with cucumber/wasabi dipping sauce and we were both using our fingers to get ever last drop. Finger licking good, the best ever. I had the Moopocalypse Burger and it was soooo good. The beef melted in my mouth, reminding me a kobe steak I had years ago in Hawaii. Infused with bacon, It was juicy and perfectly cooked. The sesame seed bun was toasted, I chose provolone cheese... all I can say is perfection. My man had the fish and chips and he enjoyed the fish - although the tartar sauce was not homemade. We both loved the fries. We rarely have fries but these were excellent. Large, flat, scooped, with the skins. Our waitress brought us some ranch dressing for dipping these fries... which was the ticket. We couldn't stop eating them. Wow! It was a cold night and I was hoping for a cup of hot tea, I know that request sounds odd, especially in a joint called Moo and Brew - and it was - because they didn't have hot tea. I noticed several tables of older people - so I was hoping they might have a cup, some hot water, and a tea bag... No worries. The food was soo good. You can tell that the owners value quality. Service was excellent. This will easily become one of our local favs. Looking forward to trying the happy hour steak special for $10 next time.

Great place for food and drinks, excellent service. I have been here on several occasions and could not recommend a better restaurant in Highland. Encourage local business and give this place a shot.

Had a group party and were seated but had to wait for waitress so went up to the bar to get a glass of wine and the rude bartender or manager said to go back to table to wait for our server?? So ridiculous! 20 minutes later.....Then when we ordered a glass of wine we were all told they were out of wine glasses and they couldn't serve it in any other glass? Let it be known it was 6 pm in the evening! Waitress finally found 3 wine glasses brought to table. Not waitress fault. Management What a joke! Food was good but customer service horrible. I give it 3 stars for food.. Hopefully this will be taken care of in future.

Treated my kids to a nice lunch today: Freshly brewed iced teas, hot wings with 3 different dipping sauces, wedge salad, prawn cocktail, loaded baked potato and hearty broccoli cheese soup. Nice servers and appreciated that they brought us extra dipping sauces to try. Impressed with decor and cleanliness. Will come back!

Was really skeptical to try this place because of the business that had been here before it....a bad restaurant. I went in trying to be impartial...and I was very pleasantly surprised! Some of the Yelp pics make it look more "bar-y" than it is. One side is pool/fooseball/bar/tv area, but the pther side is booths and chairs for family dining. I came with a party of 5...fiance, mom, dad, grandma (86!) and everyone enjoyed their meal. Everyone got steaks that looked very good. I was actually the odd one out and mine was thin and cooked a little too well (skip the ribeye). All the others I saw were great sized portions and cooked right to order. Meals come with bread (meh) soup or salad (broccoli cheese is decadent and outstanding, salad is plain) side of veggies AND a baked potato/mashed potato/rice. Overall a huge meal for about $20. Our waitress was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed like extra butter and utensils. She definitely gave us the attention we needed and let us eat in peace. They don't have super craft beer here, but a good selection to please everyone. Even some fun things in lieu of cocktails like Lime a ritas and flavored beverages of that nature. I had a Fat Tire and it was good. I didn't visit the bar area, but it looked well stocked and well kept. I would feel safe here grabbing a few drinks with friends. We went on a Monday and it was slow....I mean, it;s Monday in a small town where the only other option is Applebees. I would rather give my money to local business if possible. I had to ding a star because of the location. It is in a strip mall sort of off the grid. The sort of place you drive by all the time but never stop in. It doesn't look super welcoming from outside, but I assure you inside you will feel comfortable. The bathrooms are also nice and clean. I think this is a place locals should treasure and frequent to keep in their community. A very nice and needed addition to Highland!

The food always good although service is bad , if you have a waitress they have a high turnover rate, there lost and a long wait too order and you will go thirsty, if the guys wait your tables you will be ok, we always go back and the wait is brutal, if you have the time it's cool, if you want decent service good luck?

  • Paula C.

Food was great. Place was clean, but service lacked a bit. Place was not that full and it took a while to get the food, but the waitresses were very friendly. Besides that everything was very good. French dip sandwich and kobe beef burger were very delicious!!!

  • Susan W.

If you want to drink and watch sports this place is probably for you. If you want good food try somewhere else. They do have good local craft beer on tap and in bottles so that is a plus. Not somewhere I would go too often.

This is a great place. The food is so flavorful. I've been here a couple times and have lived it each time. Make sure to order the blue cheese wedge salad! Incredible. The adobo chicken is also so juicy. The deep fried pickles are the best anywhere!! The service is always fast and friendly. Always great coming here.

Really enjoy the ambiance & atmosphere here. The waitresses, bartenders, & owner are all on point with their hospitality & service. I'm a regular here this is my Cheers. My favorites on the appetizer menu are the tangy spicy dragon wings, the baked potato with bacon, cheese, and chili and the coconut shrimp. For dinner or lunch I am a fan of the beef dip and adobo chicken sand which. For desert the cow pie is off the hook! Also during football season the steak & egg burritos are the best value around. Go here you won't be sorry!

Service was friendly but a little slow. We had the rib eye steak and it was cooked just how we wanted it medium. The steak had so much flavor and was really good with the onions and blue cheese crumbles we added. Came with vegetables and really good garlic mashed potatoes. We will defiantly go back and bring friends

This is a great pub. The owners are good people. The waitress remembers what your drink is and has it ready before you sit down. They serve you right away. The bathroom and the place is always clean. They have the coldest beer besides the mountains. I love this place and recommend you try it out especially on your way to the mountains.

  • James P.

The first time I came here I would probably give them 4 stars. The owner greeted us warmly, food and service was great and reasonably priced. Came tonight and the only reason I have to give them one star is because the waitress Was horrible. She wore waay too much perfume, I guess her previous job was in a brothel. The bread tasted like her perfume as did my drink. Also it was slow, there was literally one other groul and yet she still messed up my order. She even walked away before I finished ordering! Lastly, she didnt check up one time during our entire meal! We literally sat for 10 minutes after we finished and she only showed up to give us our check...I guess refills arent free here...for water. Food was good, steak was excellent but sadly the horrendous service will keep me away

By far best restaurant! My husband and I go in regularly. The previous bar/restaurant had me skeptical...they have certainly turned this into a fine beautiful establishment....aside from the atmosphere, I know I can be quite of a picky eater but the staff has always been accommodating with a smile on their face. Beer selection is great, wine selection is great, happy hour is the best! Can't beat the quality of meat they use! Happy hour has a $6 steak, potato, veggies, and a salad... And it's great steak! We will continue to go back again & again!

Rising up from the ashes of the flaming turd that was a disgrace of The Rotten Oak Inn comes Moo and Brew Steakhouse! The wife and I decided this past June to go somewhere special for a nice dinner on our wedding anniversary, and decided to give this place a try with guarded optimism. We're quite glad that we did! We were hesitant for a variety of reasons. First of all...lets face it...what kind of a name is Moo and Brew? One of the funkiest names for a steakhouse, if you ask me! We were also a bit hesitant that it was just a reboot of The Rotten Oak Inn, and anyone who has read my review of The Rotten Oak knows what an utter epic fail I found the place to be. Fortunately all our fears were put to rest when we walked in and sat down. The layout of the place is totally different than what it used to be. There was a nice bar area and big screen tvs all over the place which lended itself as a sports Bar...and yet the feeling was not overwhelming at all. Tables and booths abounded with plenty of seating for family groups. The staff was wonderful! Our waitress was very helpful and attentive, and the manager came by more than once to check on us. Now for the food... The place focuses primarily on...what else...steak dishes! There is a variety of other dishes as well..some chicken..salads, etc to appeal to other tastes. The prices for their dishes are admittedly a bit pricey. Its not the place I'd go to, say, every week. But its certainly a place I would bring friends and family or on special occasions. The wife and I ordered the Top Sirloin. We always order this when we are trying out a new steakhouse because we like to compare it to the Holy Grail of steakhouses...the Hitching Post II in Buellton Calif. Let me tell you now..this place comes mighty close! We ordered the 16oz full cut and was surprised when they didn't ask if we wanted it butterflied since thats a pretty thick cut of meat. When it came out, we understood why. Our top sirloin cut was a long, juicy strip of perfectly cooked meat that was just the right thickness, and it was utterly delicious! We were both quite pleasantly surprised and it was well worth the money. Also of note is their beer selection. They have a decent selection on tap...and their bottle selection is epic...over two dozen offerings! We were both very happy with Moo and Brew and plan to return from time to time to explore their menu. Our treatment by the staff and the quality of their food easily garners this place 5 stars. Hignland needs more good "sit down" places, and this place fits the bill nicely!

I went here with my family and it was a really nice atmosphere, the food was great and the waitress had a nice personality. five stars! We ordered fish tacos, wings, chips, chicken tenders, top sirloin steak...

Came here for the first time to watch a King's playoff game with some friends. I don't eat meat so my review is mainly for the ambiance and service. The place was packed and I just assumed I was going to receive slow service but boy was I wrong. Our server was on the ball and before my glass was empty, she was offering us another pint. I was going to try their vegetarian burger but declined when I found out it was store bought. This place should take a page from Eureka Burger and make their own in house black bean patty. If your ever in the mood to catch a game and have cold one, this is the place.

I don't know what happened tonight, but it wasn't good.Have been here many times before, food & service was great. But tonight, went with another couple on OUR suggestion, waited 20 minutes after ordering,& waitress brought out our meals. We asked, what about our salad? Where is our soup?Sooo, after we started our entree, here comes our salads & soups after we asked for them!My husbands mashed potatoes that came with his steak was ICE cold.Menu states that dinners come with bread.I asked manager/ owner where is the bread that comes with the meal.....,, he tells me,"oh,bread. Is on request only" well then, they clearly have a problem with not being able to read their own menu.We were told all of our problems were because of a new waitress in training.Clearly the problem is with management not training their employees properly. They did take husbands steak off the bill & brought out 1 dessert for 5 of us to share, but sorry,we won't be back.

I have wanted to try this place out for a long time, and finally did. I should have waited longer. Although the servings were big, I think by sirloin meat had gone past it's freshness date. It smelled kinda funny when I got it! but figuring it was their spices! I ate it anyway. Let's just say I couldn't go too far from the bathroom the rest of the night. The Cobb. Said that we ordered was very big, and overall was not bad. There were no blue cheese crumbles on the top but it was not bad. We also ordered the fried zucchini, and if you like it in disk and not strips, then would recommend it. On a more positive note, they had one of my favorite non-alcoholic beers, St Pauli Girl, which is much more desirable than an Oduols. Will we go back? Not anytime in the near future

This place is so cool! A full menu, a really nice bar, TV's, and even a pool table and shuffleboard. I came here with some friends, and we had a blast! I built my own burger. They have great add-on's, like pineapple and different cheeses and sauces. My burger was perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious. We shared a few pitchers of beer, and watched the Anaheim Ducks kick some ass, so overall it was a great experience.

Nice place. Accommodating waitress, but understaffed. I tried the grilled chicken sandwich. I thought it was over priced for the quality of it. Seemed like it was microwaved on some Sara Lee sesame wheat bread. Had shredded lettuce (not my favorite) and tomato. Nothing special. The green beans I got instead d the fries were horrible. Didn't mind the almond mixed in but definitely had to be microwaved or sat for a long time and waited to serve to the next costumer. SPONGEY is the word for it. ..Did I mention it was a nice place?

Moo & Brew appetizer platter had a little of everything, all fried to perfection. My thick New York steak was cooked the way I asked for it, rare. Juicy on the inside and seared well outside. I'd past by the restaurant many times and never gone in, but today I wanted a steak. My husband and I liked it and will visit again.

  • Alice A.

Had a bad first experience.... but i believe in second chances. To my disappointment my second visit was just the same. Overpriced, blan bread to start, too much dressing on salads, cold/hard vegetables with steak, long wait for food with only only 4 other small parties there, understaffed. The one thing i could say is my steak was perfectly cooked , medium rare. Sorry Boo Brew. ;(

Walked in and was impressed with the renovation. Server was great, but no one had name tags. They have WiFi, but do not share the password with customers - Boo! Great selection of beer and Direct TV on the flat screens which lost signal twice :-/ Sliced bread and butter were Meh - would have preferred rolls or biscuits. If you order broccoli soup or chili... expect A LOT of cheese. Personally I loved them both. All the steaks that were ordered were delicious! The turkey Cobb salad (with dressing on the side) had great crispy bacon - not limp nor stale bacon bits like other large chain restaurants. Definitely coming back!

I went to Moo and Brew this past Friday night around 6ish, a little before the dinner rush, i went with a friend, i was greeted quickly and seated quickly as well. I ordered the boulder beef dip, and it was very delicious the meat was well cooked not light pink like alot of restaurants cook it, it was on like a ciabatta type of bread, first time trying that type of bread and it was good, my friend got a ribeye steak and it was cooked to perfection (medium) it came with a mash potatos, veggies and soup or salad, he chose the steak chili, which he said was very tasty, you could see the thick pieces of meat the way it should be and not watered down like others i've seen. For dessert we got the red velvet cheesecake, and ohhhh man will that make your mouth water and make your taste buds happy! Afterwards we played a couple games of pool and had some drinks near the bar. Overall experience was excellent, service was on point, food was on point and an enjoyable time. The manager also stopped by and asked how everything was, he was also seen walking around interacting with guests and asking how they were doing, which in a restaurant business is vital to have guest interaction. Oh and i almost forgot, they now have happy hour monday-friday 3-6 with $10 steaks, you cant beat that now! we just missed it, but we'll"ll be there for it next time,

Really nice and quite place with good food. The Happy Hour steak special, served from 3-6 served M-F, for $10, gets you an excellent, juicy, and flavorful steak, an extra large baked potato or mashed potato, steamed veggies, and a soup or salad. The cup of chili it comes with, if you chose that option, is a meal in itself. They do not have hard liquor here but they do have soju and have a selection of soju martinis if that is something you are interested in. If not, they have a good selection of beers both on tap and bottled. On Wednesdays the wine by the glass or bottle is half off! Why the 4 star and not the 5? Well, while you dine, you look out on gas station pumps and everyone getting gas. Also, the place is perhaps eerily quite. The dining room is large but there was only 2 other couples in the restaurant. I hope that this place will get a bit busier, the atmosphere would definitely be improved with a few more people eating.

Where is everyone? Get over here now! Happy hour Pub Steak is perfect! Hot veggies, perfectly backed potato, and excellently cooked juicy steak. All yours for $9,99. You can't beat that anywhere in the IE. Don't worry about the road construction just get here and check it out. If you are a Moo Muncher check it out tonight!

Went there on a saturday night for friends birthday. The place was pretty empty except for tables. We had a party of 12 and the service was horrible, I ordered a pitcher of beer and ten plus minutes later I had to go ask someone when I could get the pitcher since the server was no where to be found. The food was okay, the salad had way to much dressing on it, the steak was good. I would say it tasted like a apple bees steakhouse more then a steakhouse steak. Great set up, just need better service and better food.

Had the happy hour steak special and was very impressed. The steak was cooked perfectly - tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned. I chose to start with a cup of their chili beans soup (you could choose salad if you prefer), and it was very filling. This wasn't a tiny thimble of soup, but rather a large bowl of a very hearty soup - almost too big... almost. My only complaint was the veggies which were served along with the steak (might have started out frozen, but definitely ended up as mushy). My wife had the fish and chips, and enjoyed it thoroughly. The value is excellent, and the service provided by Andrew was memorable. As a former manager in the hospitality industry, I am not easily impressed by service, but Andrew impressed me greatly. He deserves a raise, a company car, a throne and a scepter, etc etc etc. Looking forward to returning frequently.

This place was just alright over all at best. We got there and a server casually said sit anywhere you like. Awesome, we sit at a booth n waited. We didn't see the waiter for a good 10minutes. Place was relatively empty and we were left without menus or water waiting awhile. A tall man finally came with a few menus and dropped them off n left quicker then I could ask for 4 waters for the table. Again, a good time goes by 15minutes or so, and then a woman came n ask what we'd like to drink. By that time we all knew what we wanted to eat too,and given the previous wait we decided to order while we can. One person in our group asked if there was anything quick as they were leaving soon, and she offer something.... She then came back n said neve mind the kitchen is back up.... Again the place was almost empty.... Food came and my philly cheese steak was very greasing n not that satisfying. Didn't remind me if a Philly cheesesteak at all. I asked to sample their house ipa, but was given no test just a large glass of it with the rest of the drinks ordered. Their IPA beer wasn't that good either. Even had another beer/IPA lover at the table test it to confirm. Ended up just ordering a bottle lagunitas IPA after. Overall the service just wasn't there at all n that's what sat with me when I left. I picked this place on a mini road trip as it had decent yelp reviews, and I love microbrew type restaurants. This one just disappointed me overall. Would have been more content at a Chilli's or Fridays or something like that as sad as it is to say :/

I stopped by for lunch today with my brother, I have been in several times and I have been looking forward to my next visit, finally I had a good excuse. The food was incredible as always, I went with the Boulder Beef Dip and it was made perfectly. My brother chose the Moopocalypse Burger and his reaction was of pure bliss, that is exactly the same reaction as every person that I have ever brought here. Service was also amazing, our drinks were never empty and our waitress was always there when we needed something and she left us alone when we just wanted to talk. I will be back and I'm looking forward to my next visit.

The beer list was pretty good for being located in a random strip mall. The outside looks old and dated, the sign seems very faded and the reflection causing film on the outside makes the place look abandoned. However, inside is much nicer than executed. Big! Wood and leather booths. Nice. The good was mediocre at best- kinda like Denny's quality.... So be warned!

I have given this place one too many chances. Food tastes good, but every time I have been here the service has been horrible! On this LAST visit, I left my table twice to get the servers attention. The second time I stood at the end of the bar waiting for help. The owner say just a few sets down from me and watched as four employees walked past - never asking what I needed. I said "excuse me" twice and got ignored. The owner gets up and chats with the waitress in front of me. I had to interrupt them to ask for a drink. Ridiculous!!!

I've come here multiple times. I usually take my time and try to write a review after I come to a restaurant a couple times just to get a feel for the place and it's why my reviews are very detailed. If you live in Highland or the nearby areas, you really need to check out Moo & Brew. The atmosphere is amazing. The moment you walk in you see a cute cow bench that you can sit on and take pictures. It really sets the mood as the place is very welcoming with tons of ambient lighting and great music. You can even choose your own music on the Internet Jukebox. To the left of the entrance is the bar and some high top tables. There is a pool table, foosball table, and a shuffleboard table. To the right of the entrance, there are some booths that are extremely comfy. I sat at the bar and what you see is 3 flat screens and underneath is probably around 50 different types of beers they serve and wine. Right between the beer selection and wines there are 8 different taps with a decent selection of different types of beers. My most recent server was Kristina. She was extremely friendly and and attentive with me and everyone that was sitting at the bar. I ordered the Moopocalypse burger with sweet potato fries. What is the Moopocalypse burger? Let's just say it's heaven in the form of a hamburger. It is kobe beef infused with bacon. It's succulent and juicy and amazing. The sweet potato fries were also a treat. There aren't many places that offer sweet potato fries and when you do order them, they charge you extra. Not here though. I never ever had to ask for a refill on my drink. It was constantly refilled before it was even a quarter empty. The manager (very tall skinny guy) would visit all of his tables and make sure they were enjoying themselves and the food. He was very genuine and wanted to make sure I really had the best experience possible. The prices of the food and beer are very reasonable nothing was overpriced. I have not tried their happy hour yet, but I was told you can get a steak dinner for $10!! I can't wait to try it when I get chance! Overall, my multiple experiences at Moo & Brew have been the same as what I have written on this review. Moo & Brew is exactly what the city of Highland needed. I am so excited to have a restaurant like this right in my own backyard.

This is my new favorite steak place! Great food, pear cider was excellent, Hawaiian bread, fried pickles, nice waitress, and cool cow paintings.

My wife and I went to Moo and Brew around 530 for our date night this last Wednesday, were seated right away and our server was right over. This newly opened place has cute cow themed decorations, open space and the TVs weren't too loud to hold a quiet conversation. They have an extensive beer selection, which is great, but our server couldn't answer questions about what I was unfamiliar with. I had the rib eye steak dinner..... was very good. My wife ordered the boulder beef dip, which comes on a ciabatta bread with caramelized onions inside, but she changed the bread to multi-grain. It came with a tasty au jus, but the sandwich was so good and juicy it didn't need the dip. We plan on returning.

We went for a Vikings game and I really liked going for the environment and the other fans but that was all. I ordered the chicken strips and they tasted worse than a banquet frozen dinner and I was unable to eat them. You can tell they are chicken nugget meat and bad quality. A friend got the quesadilla and the steak was so salty. I'm glad they had free chips because I was starving. I would recommend going to in n out down the street before watching the games there. Final comment is that they need more servers and better deals. In conclusion, more servers, better deals, and quality food are the only things they need to change to keep in business but I doubt that they will so will probably not remain in business too long.

My first time here. Pros: Then renovation and service was great. The steaks were really good and cooked correctly. They had a good beer selection on draft and in bottle. The wine tasted good. Even a gluten-free beer on bottle. Nice atmosphere. Cons: The bread and butter tasted like store bought bread and was not warm, the mash potatoes did not have much flavor, and the shrimp cocktail did not have cocktail sauce, but almost like a watery salsa. The dinner salad was bland and too much dressing on it, vegetables tasted and looked like frozen vegetables and were not very good. No liquor. Overall I think it was a bit over-priced for the quality of food. But great to have a new sit down restaurant in Highland. It may be a better choice to try to sandwiches rather than the full dinners as we did. I think they have done a great job with the place but hopefully gets better with time.

Its highland, so if you are expecting the four seasons or a trendy environment you need to drive a bit further west. For what it is, its not bad, the bar is large, the food is passable, the servers are nice if bit slow. The burger was a bit on the dry side, but the nachos were good enough. Pluses include a pool table and convenient parking.

Beer selection is ok but nothing special. The food is pretty much all sysco, frozen and heated and put on a plate. Servers not well trained. Haven't been back.

Definitely a great experience. I'm new to the area so was looking for a place to watch football on Sunday. They have awesome selection of beer. I really liked the ambience although I was surprised it was not as full as I had expected on the day of championship games. The bartender was very friendly. Great service, good people and very reasonably priced. Oh one thing though, it does not have a full bar. Only wine and beer.

Nice looking place inside but The salad was from a bag. I could see all heated Veggis were nuked in a bag, potato was nuked ...not fresh food. Wait staff is friendly...slow but friendly . Empty beer sitting there for 15 min. Bar waitress working bar and main area....why? Steak still waiting after 40 min. Muscle man employee being rude to customers...calling them gay for wearing matching shirts...didn't ask anyone if they need anything. Got food ...Steak was NASTY... Returned it because it was so bad... I don't return food unless its beyond bad. Veggis were yuk. Wouldn't eat here again Drink a few beers yes eat hell no.

On a again I'm sitting here having a Stone IPA for under $5 (happy hour) and the wings are incredible. Mike has put together a very nice place with great food. On the other comments about kids being annoying, they are annoying everywhere and not just at Moo and Brew. Oh and for you hanger 24 fans he has those beers here too. I classify Hanger in the Bud Light category.

The food is decent, and they have a good selection of beers. I met a friend here for dinner recently. I had the rib-eye, and it was pretty good. He had the short-ribs, and they were terribly over cooked. Our server was a guy named Luke, and I only remember this because the service was terrible. I eat out often, and it was some of the worst service I have ever received. I'm not sure if the lack of prompt service was entirely his fault, but his lack of attentiveness and overall respect for his customer were actually quite shocking. I'm not sure I will be going back.

Decided to stop in with a friend after the remodel. Place has been nicely remodeled with new furniture and Tvs. Sat down at an open table (there were many) since it was near the end of the night. There were five servers just standing around and talking to each other. It took awhile to get menus and for someone to greet us. Ordered some appetizers. Green beans were ok. Not worth the amount of money spent. Also, we ordered the tator tots and they came out cold :(. Overall, the food was disappointing and quite pricey for what you get. I wouldn't mind giving it another try for drinks and service, but going to pass on the food.

I'm writing on behalf of myself and my parents. My parents used to go to Moo & Brew rather frequently when they first opened but since then it seems as if the quality of food has declined and the cooking has been inconsistent. Sometimes their food is great and other times it's below average. Today their BBQ beef sandwich had way too much sauce to overcompensate for the cold beef that tasted store-bought (not fresh or made from scratch). Last visit their burger was flavorless. My family loves the customer service and the atmosphere but if they don't improve the consistency of their food we won't be returning. =(

Moo and Brew recently opened its doors, so i figured i would give it a try since it is literally 2 minutes from my house. Highland needs more sit down restaurants, and this place is definitely a start to that. We got there right before the Lakers game, nearly all of the TV's in the place had the game going which was great. Our table ordered several appetizers ranging from chips, nachos, and fried pickles. We also ordered a steak and an adobo chicken dish. A variety of side dishes are available with the meals (rice, mash potatoes, baked potatoes, etc), all of these selections were good. Service was great and the beer/wine selections are extensive. prices for food range anywhere from $5-$40 depending on what you get. Whether you're trying to fill your steak cravings, or grab a beer and watch a sports game, this place worth the visit.

Had a quick dinner with my family last night. Service was prompt and courteous. We limited our selections to a few appetizers, all were excellent. We especially liked the cow wings and sliders. The Hanger 24 Orange Wheat was refreshing and delicious as usual.

We went here last Friday, which was one of the soft opening nights. We only went to have some drinks and watch some sports....and we were able to do both! The beer menu is extensive, which is awesome. The tv's were also tuned to a variety of sports. And when we asked for the tv closest to us to be tuned to the Laker game, the waitress had it changed immediately. This location was formerly the Rotten Oak, which was a dump. Which stunk (pun intended) because it's really close to home! So we're incredibly stoked that a much better establishment has opened in it's place. The owner did a fantastic job of renovating the area. Very open space, and there's still a bar to sit at with tv's viewable from wherever you sit. As I mentioned before, we didn't have the food but I'm eager to go back and try one of my all time favorites....fried pickles! The menu looked good, with a variety of food to choose from. Of course, it's a steak house but they also have some "lighter" options available as well (chicken, salads, soups, chili). I'm hoping this place does well. It's nice to have more variety close to home. There are a few little kinks to work out but nothing that would keep me from returning.

We anticipated the opening of Moo & Brew for several months. After seeing the conversion of the former Rotten Oak, and knowing it was going to be a steakhouse/sports bar, we were excited about it's opening. We got there around 6 p.m. on Friday night a week...ish after the grand opening. We were able to get a booth right away - the rush started around 7 so we avoided that. We both really liked what they've done with the re-model. The atmoshpere/ambiance was quite pleasant and casual. We went there for steak and thats what we ordered. I had the 14 ounce ribeye and my girl had the 10 ounce ribeye. For sides I had the cheddar broccoli cheese soup and my girl had the salad and we also started off with wine. I had the Red Diamond Malbec and my girl had a white wine. The soup was really good. Our steaks came with loaded baked potatoes and a side of veggies. Both our steaks were cooked perfectly to order (med rare & med) and very tasty. Overall, it was a great dinner and great time. There were a few small glitches with the service but that's expected with any new restaurant. We will definately be back!

Good food, decent service in the bar area (it is much better on the regular restaurant side). A few cool games like shuffleboard and Foosball to play too. Definitely worth checking out!

Great place. I've tried the garden burger, steak, and wings and I cannot complain. The food quality is better then most restaurants I've been to. They also have free pool and shuffleboard. The management is great and one of them actually remembered me and my boyfriends name which surprised me.

Just had dinner and we had a great time. Our server, Andrew was great. We had their Chacacho's which were really good. The burgers were also very good. Kids were happy with the kids meals. My son really liked the sliders. I think this place has a real chance. Good luck!

We live in Redlands and are always looking for new places to try and this place hits the mark. The interior is really nice it has an upscale feel to it great for families or a group of friends. There is a nice selection of micro brews, beer and wine. The food is not your standard bar fair. They have a Kobe beef burger mixed with bacon, who doesn't LOVE bacon. The service is great the food is yummy, the atmosphere is fun this is place is going to the top of our list. I highly recommend giving it a try. Next time we are getting the steak.

Been going to the Moo & Brew off and on since it opened. If you are a Minnesota Vikings fan you'll love it here as this is the home of the "Inland Empire Vikings Club" The owner "Big Mike" is a fan and has welcomed the club. On game days, the restaurant side of the establishment is reserved for us Vikings fans, so Sundays the joint gets a little hectic (and unfortunately, the service suffers as a result, only because they get overwhelmed by the crowd). The food is good and the Boulder Beef dip is the BOMB!!! Aside from "gameday" the service is very good and prompt.

We really like it here and will visit often. We tried the Boulder/French Dip sandwich which was delicious! And the Au Jus was so tasty - not the bland stuff you get everywhere else. They give you a choice of fries, sweet potato fries or tater tots. The tater tots are nice and crispy - a nice change from fries. On another occasion we tried the fish and chips and the Moolicious (?)-chips served as nachos. All of these were very good. They also served us the Hawaiian bread nice and warm. Beer selection: pretty good, although we have tried most of them. Not much on the Hef side of things. I wish they would be more adventurous and go all out like the Salted Pig in Riverside, but their selection is MUCH better then any place in this area. I sure would love some Lost Abbey or Franzikaner. Service is excellent. Ambiance is pretty good, although I do agree with the other Yelpers that the kids in the bar/game area are annoying. If we wanted to play pool/shuffleboard/foosball we would have no chance. Maybe this is different later in the evening or on a weekend-we have been on a Sunday afternoon and another in the evening during the week. Lots of TV's with many different sports, but the sound is not blaring. All in all, a good, tasty, fun place to go.

My boyfriend and I tried this place for the first time on a sunday afternoon. There wasn't too may people there. It was slow and nice and quiet. It wasn't rowdy or had too much noise going on. There were a few families there which means the place is kid friendly. We were seated immediately and the waitress changed the channel to whatever we wanted. She was friendly. We had the Moo-Chachos and Cow Wings appetizers which were good followed by the Cow Pie which was delicious. I would return.

My wife and I have eaten here several times and we had great service and the steaks are to die for. Cooked perfectly and served with the right sides prepared properly. Great beer selection and great service. We have needed a great dinner house in our town for along time now we have it and I intend to support it with my business. These people do it right. Eat here you won't be sorry.

Nice job Moo! So, I like to try local "non-commercial" restaurants...but for some reason never got around to this place. The family and I tried it today and it was a very nice surprise. Food was great, service was great, but to top it off..... it was very clean. (Ps. if you can get my daughter to eat all her food...that is pretty darn good) Nice Job on the Moo....I am sure the brew is just as great!

Good food at fair prices. My issue here is purely location- not enough parking and not the best of area as it is a little hidden. Food and service we all good enough for me to want to come back for more- for seconds. Good Job Moo and Brew

We've been coming to the Moo and Brew for about a year, as often as once a week. Very good food. However, if you are seated in Maria's section, MOVE! We asked for separate checks - IGNORED. I asked for dressing on the side - IGNORED. She never came back to refill water glasses or to ask if anyone would like another beer. We had to flag down another waitress who took care of us. Maria brought two of the entrees while the other two were brought 5-6 minutes later. There was a problem with one of the entrees and the other waitress returned it to the kitchen for a re-fire. Twenty minutes later, Maria brought the re-fired entree. Of course, the rest of us were done with our meals and the re-fired entree was put in a to-go container. The entire time we were waiting for that meal to be served, Maria never came to the table to see if we needed anything. She walked by several times and never even looked our way. By the way, we were the only diners in the place when we got there. It's not like she was busy. She's just lousy. We'll be back, but only if Maria's not our server.

My hubby and I were going to see Hank Williams Jr at San Manuel. Since the ratings on food at San Manuel were not very good, I browsed around google and found Moo and Brew. After looking at their flyer, I called for reservations for 5:30. Mike told me it would be no problem getting seated that early. Wow ! It was great. Nice atmosphere, great service and sparkling clean restrooms. There's a cute cow couch as we entered which was a good place to have our photo taken. We were seated in a booth right away and noticed that even though there were many tv's around the room, it wasn't noisy. I had a glass of of their house Beringer White Zinfandel while my hubby (who doesn't drink alcohol) enjoyed a tall glass of ice water. Being senior citizens, we split the NY Steak dinner and ordered an extra salad. Nice salad with lettuce, red cabbage, tomatoe, cucumber and carrot slivers. The steak was cooked a perfect medium and practically melted in our mouths. The veges (broccoli, cauliflower, zuchini and yellow squash) were wonderful and the baked potatoe was perfect. Our waiter, Luke, was very attentive. Even though we live about 50 miles from there, we will definately return.
