Honestly, I cannot stop raving about this place. I absolutely love their chai frappes. It is my number one favorite edible item in all of Santa Barbara. All my money goes towards here so I try to frequent less often (which is really hard!) Their chai lattes are pretty good too, waaaay better than Starbucks. Their ice cream is creamy and decadent. I'm not much of a cookie/brownie/pastry person so I don't go out of my way to buy those. However, they gave out free samples of their cookie one time and it was really good! Not overly sweet, which is a big turn off for me. When I come with my friend, she always gets the brownies! She got me a brookie (brownie/ cookie) and it was super good! I feel like any place can have good food. What really makes me come back is their customer service. All the workers are sweet and friendly. In fact, they look happy to be working here! I'm not going to lie, my order has been messed up twice (with a minor difference but it really changes the drink around.) The first time this happened, the girl realized the mistake and apologized. She remade the drink and the manager (or owner) gave me a voucher for a free cookiewich. (They let me keep the original which I gave to my friend because I couldn't drink it.) The second time, I offered to pay for a remake but the guy behind the counter insisted on remaking it free of charge. (I tipped because I felt bad about wasting ingredients.) Either way, I left smiling. I've never been disappointed in IV Drip. I love their employees and their service! (They also occasionally have buck-a-cup ($1 tea/ coffee) and frappy hour ($3 any size frappe.) However, one time I ordered my drink late at night and the girl asked if it was "for here or to go." I was confused, but she told me there was a sitting fee for "for here." (My friend and I were the only one in the restaurant.) I didn't mind paying a few more cents because of their outstanding service the other times I've been here.

Late night gather with my new American friends! This place is awesome!

I visited IV Drip more often than any other eateries while studying at UCSB. The reason being they serve ice cream cookie sandwiches, or "cookiewiches." And they switched from Dreyer's ice cream to McConnell's ice cream in 2013. The cookies are all made on site daily, but most of them taste lower than average on their own. The first time I tried IV Drip was when my professor brought a bag of the cookies into class on a rainy day to reward the students who actually showed up. Only two of us came to class, so he said we could take the extra cookies. They were so bland, too salty, and a little on the dry side though that I didn't even want to finish my first one. For this reason, I held off on going here for months. Fortunately, the cookies combined with the ice cream make for a really good treat if you don't want to make the cookiewich yourself. Eventually I just went here to order ice cream because it's really the best part. The caramel and s'more cookies are the best in taste and texture. Both my house mate and best friend agreed. Nothing else is very good here and the acai bowl is a rip-off, though they make it sound like a great deal. It's tiny and has no good toppings. This place has great hours but very limited seating.

I love this place. I don't even know how many times I've been seeing as I often go and forget to check in. They're open pretty late into the night, so if you get late night ice cream or cookiewich cravings like I do, this is where you must go. I also happen to be lactose intolerant, but I can't stop myself from coming here. Let me also say that they are so liberal with their scoops. A single scoop is actually two scoops of ice cream, which for me is more than enough. You can even get two different flavors in one scoop! So great, right? Also their ice cream happens to be McConnell's ice cream, which is delicious, and makes it so much better that I don't have to go all the way downtown to get it. The one drawback is that it's pretty small. They don't have a lot of sitting space inside. There are chairs and tables outside, though, so do not fret. You can probably already tell that I'll be back. YAY FOR ICE CREAM AND COOKIES!

  • Anna C.

I am not a fan of their cookiewiches. The cookies are like dome-shaped, so it's hard to fit in your mouth. Trying to force it into your mouth makes you squeeze out the ice cream. Even if you manage to get everything in one bite, the cookie is so big that the flavor of it completely overpowers the ice cream. The other thing about the cookie is that it is very chunky--which I never thought could be a problem because hello it's a cookie, but it felt like I was eating a candy bar. I had the cookie with chocolate and toffee. The chocolate stuck to my fingers and the toffee flavor was absent. I paired the cookies with Turkish coffee ice cream. No wonder the shop is called IV Drip--the ice cream dripped everywhere. It was later in the day and the ice cream was freshly scooped, it should not have dripped as much as it did. I ate the last chunk of ice cream that I had sans cookie and it was really good. It's a shame that it got lost in the cookiewich. All in all, it was good-ish for the price, but I've had better. No complaints about service either.

I don't give many five star reviews but I love this place. The employees are always super sweet and helpful, and most importantly, the food is amazing. The cookies and ice cream are made in house and locally, and they're as fantastic as the smoothies (yummy fresh fruit). I especially love the made to order sandwiches! They're inexpensive and fresh and perfect for a quick lunch (they don't even pre chop cucumbers). And if you get 10 chipwiches you get one free! Indulge your sweet tooth!

At the beginning of the summer when all of the J1 Irish students landed in, they did a deal where we could get a free cookie every day if you were Irish. They also sold Barry's Tea here-- and if anyone is Irish, you'll understand what this means. This was amazing and really brought in so much business-- some people continued to take advantage for as long as the deal went on but others like myself started to buy things each time and eventually just came on our own terms. The cookie sandwiches are heaven and it's open pretty late which is amazing. Small enough place but there are seats outside.

  • Ashleyann B.

yay for being open late and for serving great ice cream! I'm definitely a fan of the salted caramel ice cream. I've had a few cookiewiches here before too. It satisfies the sweet tooth craving, that's for sure, but the cookies are just overwhelmingly too sweet for me. Though I've yet to try all the flavors offered (one day, eventually), the price for a scoop of ice cream is pretty pricy; same goes for the cookiewich. It seems like they've hiked up their prices a little, but that little bit makes all the difference to me. I'd rather buy myself a pint of ice cream, but I won't mind dropping by for a scoop if my friends and I decide to have a sweet treat here.

  • Jenny C.

A really cool combination coffee shop and ice cream shop! I got iced coffee and a cookiewich and both were great. The girl working behind the counter was really patient and helpful about letting us try like five different flavors. The outdoor seating was really nice.

  • Victoria C.

Slightly remodeled now. Added a nice touch to the ambiance of the place. Always got friendly service here. Ordered an Americano half caffeine. Not bad, had a little bit of a smokey flavor. Got a free cookie piece from a cookie that crumbled. My lucky day! Had an ice cream sandwich here once - chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream and some caramel I think. It was pretty good but a bit too sweet. Pros: - open late until 12 am or later on weekends - takes card as long as purchase is over $1

  • Shyam S.

What a treat to have McConnell's ice cream so close to campus (the scant selection at the Arbor doesn't count). I love the freebies, and their baked goodies are off the chain too. Who doesn't want an ice cream sandwich with delectable ice cream AND homemade cookies or brownies? Shit is off the chain!

  • Emily Z.

This place gets 5 stars for being open late at night! (And yes, I realize this is a college town, which is why things are open late, but I'm old...) Stopped by for a cookiewich around 11pm on a Saturday night, and loved that you can mix and match your cookies. The cookie wasn't as great as I expected, but this was late at night so I can't blame them for not having super fresh cookies. There is a plethora of cookies available, so trust me that you'll spend more time deciding what kind of cookies to get rather than actually eating it. The ice cream selection is McConnell's (which if you've been to State Street lately, you'll know there's a ridiculously long wait out the door there), which makes the cookiewich that much sweeter (no pun intended). Each cookiewich was around $3.95, but I believe it's two for $6.50. All in all, totally worth stopping by for a late night ice cream treat! P.s. You get your cookiewich in a small styrofoam bowl, which you'll come to appreciate as the ice cream and cookie dust get all over your hands. What..just me?

Cute little shop with not only awesome coffee/ice cream, buy super friendly and helpful baristas. One even went out of her way to mail a lost phone home. Ya gotta check out IV Drip!

  • Matthew R.

IV drip is by far my favorite place in IV and enough can't be said about the customer service. The coffee is great, and the sweets are righteously good, but it's the service that always bring me back. When people are nice and friendly to you every time you come in, and can work with a smile all the time, it makes you want to stop in there for your morning cup or afternoon sweet tooth, oh and not to mention that if you bring your own cup refills a $1. I would try out there espresso and a cookiewich if it was your first time

    (5)
  • Cathy K.

If you are in IV, you must come try this place! They are known for their cookiewich, and they give you so much ice cream, it makes you full. I used to go here for ice cream and their cookiewich, but now I mostly go there for breakfast. You can choose your breakfast sandwhich from crossiants, bagels, english muffin and add the meat, cheese, and condiments!

    (5)
  • Kaity Z.

Tried their chocolate chip, smores, and red velvet cookies and can't say I love their cookies. They're more hard and crunchy rather than chewy but that's just a personal preference. They have Mcconnell's ice cream which is always great and they don't charge any more than Mcconnell's themselves charge. Employees are great and always super nice and attentive. Overall, satisfies my diddy reise cravings when in IV.

  • Lauren H.

Recently went to the new and improved IV Drip. While I was at UCSB (alum '09), cookiewiches were the shit!! Fresh baked cookies plus Dreyer's ice cream. Well now, it's DOUBLY the shit because they have fancy cookies (flavors like red velvet and s'mores) and HOMEMADE ice cream!!!! They had pumpkin ice cream for the fall season. Can you say O.M.G?!

    (5)
  • Cristal R.

I.V Drip, what can go wrong with that? This place is to die for when it comes to icecream and icecream sandwiches. Entree: Cookie Sandwhich ( 1 Chocolate Crinkle Cookie and 1 Toffee Cookie with S.B. Strawberry) So delicious!

    (5)
  • Angeline C.

Unlimited free samples of ice cream as long as you commit to buying! Also, the cookie sandwiches are amazing and so cheap! You can use two different types of cookies in one sandwich, so we tried: Snickerdoodle + s'mores cookie + vanilla bean = really tasty! The vanilla is simple but delicious, Snickerdoodle was a bit crumbley but paired well with the s'more cookie Oatmeal raisin + white chocolate macadamia + blueberries and cream = AMAZING!!! The blueberries and cream flavor was so good and our combo was perfect in every shape and form.

    (4)
  • Dimple B.

Pros: Delicious goodies, friendly staff always willing to give free samples or answer questions about the products, and McConnell's ice cream. Cons: A cookiewich used to be so cheap, at only $2! But the higher price isn't a huge con since they have even better quality after having switched to McConnell's.

  • Eddie C.

Hands down.. Phenomenal intimate coffee & breakfast place. Cheers environment with great ownership.

    (5)
  • Frank L.

This place is probably to only place in iv where ill get frozen yogurt. They have a pretty good selection of flavors and their all pretty bomb. They also have ice cream there and whats better than ice cream and frozen yogurt. Best place to get dessert if your in iv.

    (5)
  • Alyssa R.

It smells REALLY yummy in here, and they have McConnells ice cream. Now I don't have to drive downtown. Yay!

    (4)
  • Kristine K.

I guess this is UCSB's verison of Diddy Riese haha In the most unbiased way, even though I'm in LA, I think Diddy Riese is a lot better. I tried their Red Velvet cookie and their Toffee Crumble cookie with just regular vanilla ice cream. The toffee crumble one tasted a bit hard, not fresh at all. My red velvet tasted ok but my friend who bought it with me said her's was stale. I'm just too use to the fresh, soft cookies at Diddy Riese! =/ It was ok, not that great but not terribly bad, and I wouldn't go back again.

    (2)
  • Melody S.

OMG the ice cream sandwiches are absolutely bomb!! You can choose different cookies for the ice cream to be put between and there is a wide variety of cookies and ice cream flavors to choose from! The acai bowl is also very good. They put honey, granola, and bananas in it and it is only $5 compared to Blenders' acai bowl which is $6.50. I love IV Drip!

    (5)
  • Stephanie B.

IV DRIP IS THE BEST!! I love their cookiewiches and coffee. Both are a good deal :) plus their ice cream is amazing. Seriously if you haven't been you need to go. IV Drip also donates to student clubs which is really great.

    (5)
  • Maddy D.

IV Drip makes amazing cookies and brownies and is incredibly generous! Every quarter my environmental education nonprofit has a party and IV Drip always donates DELICIOUS treats to the event!! Amazing food, service, and people at IV Drip. We highly recommend it!

    (5)
  • Jason E.

We were actually intending on heading to Crush Cakes, but as they were already closed, we detoured to IV Drip after finding it on Yelp. Cookiewiches, excellent. I highly suggest the Reese's cookies with peanut butter chip ice cream. Double bonus as the espresso was also quite good!

    (4)
  • Carl P.

This place is pretty yummy. My only issue is that they don't provide the nutritional content of their scrumptious treats. But I guess if you're willing to gorge yourself on a cookiewich, then you don't care about your inevitable muffin top. They sell muffins here too, which are delicious in case you were wondering.

  • A.L. C.

Visited this place on a quiet weeknight. Service was great. Some seating inside or people watching outside. They offer samples, which is awesome!! Got to taste the cinnamon ice cream-so good! Had the salted caramel browniewich with the chocolate ice cream-yum yum!! Looking forward to having a treat when the baked goods are warm and exploring the rest of the menu.

  • Maricel Jane M.

This place is run buy students, obviously , it's steps away from UCSB! They have delicious cookies! I have yet to try the ice cream cookie when i'm in town. The tester of the cookies are really good, it's not crumbly and doesn't fall apart. I tried their chocolate sea salt caramel cookie, holy crap, it was freakin delicious. The service was great, the workers are friendly, and helpful! DEfinitely coming back when i'm in town!

    (5)
  • Yuan-Yuan L.

Brownies here are soo good!! Got the salted caramel one a few days ago and the samoa brownie a week or two ago. They're both really good. The cookiewiches are okay, not a fan because so big and hard to eat, not to mention sweet! Maybe I'm just not a cookie-wich fan.. Should definitely try here if you're craving something sweet!! :)

    (4)
  • Raquel D.

Best dessert in IV! Had their cookwhich many times which is delicious. Their milkshakes are also very good. Salted caramel milkshake? AMAZING. Also had some of their pastries and treats. So. Good. If you want dessert go to IV Drip! Expensive like the rest of IV.

    (4)
  • Veronica A.

I go to IV Drip every once and a while, and typically I'm pretty satisfied. But this morning I went and got a less than appetizing bagel sandwich. They forgot the cream cheese, the egg on it was rubbery and GREEN, and the tomatoes looked like they they'd been cut and sitting around for days. The coffee is decent and cheap, but not good enough to make me want to go back.

    (2)
  • Robyn N.

No seating, only cake cones, but the ice cream is good and a single scoop is a hefty amount. They also get their ice cream from McConnells so it's high quality ice cream and the flavors are really interesting at times. They also have cookies, smoothies, coffee, sandwiches, other things and it's decent.

    (4)
  • Carly H.

Their cookiewiches are SOO good! So much better than diddy riese because there's more variety and you don't have to wait in line forever. I try to mix it up and get different cookies each time but so far the almond toffee and s'mores have been my favorites and I usually get the almond praline ice cream. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and service is fast; great place to go when you have friends in town!

    (5)
  • Heidi B.

I went here late at night. I ordered their ice cream cookie sandwich. One mint chocolate cookie and one double chocolate cookie with pecan ice cream wedged in between. The ice cream was delicious, I really enjoyed it. The cookies didn't have a bad taste, but they were kind of hard. It made eating the sandwich as a whole impossible. If I have a chance to come back, I'll either get the brownies or try and come earlier when the cookies are fresher.

SNAP this place could be so much more and it looks like one of those cool, chill places that surely gets the stars. but here's why naught: 1) stale cookies. cookies be stale. they certainly look yummy, but don't let the quirky and cool options fool you. remember? never trust a girl by her looks - she could be a complete biotch. stale biotch, like these cookies, certainly not worth $1.75 apiece. 2) tiny cookie-wiches so you get to choose any 2 cookies you want, but the ice cream scoop is TINY. tiny scoop and stale cookies for $3.50? ahhh, you are most Definitely better off making that at home with store-bought anything. pros & possibilities: 1. it's possible that their desserts will be fresher during a peak hour/day (such as a school weekday), as they'll have fresh batches rolling out constantly. 2. pro: nice service, very friendly dude 3. pro: good variety of cookies and brownies should you stay or should you go? go - if you're going at a peak time. start out small (like a cookie), so you won't completely dislike it if you have more.

    (2)
  • Ashley L.

The ice cream cookie sandwiches were really good! I had the smores cookies with almond praline ice cream. The only thing was we went around 9p and they didn't have a great variety of cookies left even though they were still going to be open for 5 more hours. The girls working there seemed really nice.

    (3)
  • Julie K.

fresh baked cookies + mcconnells ice cream = ohyessssyes browniewiches are yummy too

    (5)
  • Julie Z.

their PUMPKIN w/ chocolate chip bread is DELICIOUS! I always come here for it. It's soft, buttery, sweet and so much better than starbucks' version of pumpkin bread. It's about 2 dollars for a slice (but its a huge slice) I also had their iced mocha w/soymilk. It was good, but i still like the one at Nicolette's would i come back? yes!! i have yet to try their ice cream but i heard its so good! yummmy! they open really early , so go get some breakfast! I also find it great that they have good morning food selections (croissants, donuts, ..breakfast sandwiches?)

    (4)
  • Jessica C.

Open late AND serving cookie/ice cream sandwiches... AND I get to pick the cookie and ice cream??? How does it get any better?!?!? Great spot to tackle a late night sweets craving. Fast service. Definitely will be going back to get a cookie/ice cream sandwich soon!

    (5)
  • Ryan A.

The cookie sandiwches are good and the fact that they have red velvet cookies, which is not something you can get just anywhere, but I've honestly have had better for much cheaper. And $2.95 is cheap as it is, but I could get this for a dollar or so at Diddy Riese.

    (2)
  • Natalie R.

Cheapest place to get coffee drinks, awesome bagels and of course the famous COOKIEWICHES are kinda amazing :) Check it out! Try a red velvet cookie with vanilla frosting

    (5)
  • Amanda S.

A delicious ice cream sandwich for $2? Don't mind if I do. Isla Vista's version of UCLA's Diddy Riese and it'll suffice. Don't get me wrong UCSB beats UCLA all day errday, hands-down...yeah I'm bias. =) If it hits even 70 degrees in the ever so glorious IV and you're craving for something sweet give IV drip a try!

    (4)
  • Allie E.

Delicious cookiewiches that every college student in IV goes gaga over. Their banana split is yummy too. Very sweet staff. They give back $2 bills and 50 cent and $1 coins as change... props!

  • jessica v.

I like this place. Whenever I make a trip to IV I try to stop by for a cookiewhich. It's simple, two cookes with your choice of ice cream in the middle. They have a good selection of ice cream and cookies to choose from. They bake the cookies there so if you're lucky enough to walk in when they place a fresh batch then your cookiewhich experience will be THAT much better. Two warm cookies melting in your mouth with your favorite choice of ice cream.MMM!!!! I have not tried their food or coffee so my four stars are only on the cookiewich.

    (4)
  • Margaret M.

I can't believe I'm saying this, and I'm not even in my 30s yet. But BACK IN MY DAY, the cookiewich price was ridiculously CHEAP! Like ridiculous. I think it started off as 75 cents. Then the next week, a dolla. Then the next, a dolla and a quawta. I used to love getting my half hot chocolate, half coffee combo here. The place is so petite :)

    (4)
  • Jordan H.

This is my absolute favorite place to go in IV. Maybe it's not the best food for you, but it tastes delicious and makes me happy. Cookies, brownies, and cupcakes are all made in-house and are all fantastic! They make quite a variety of baked goods (including a recent addition, and my new favorite: mint cookies with chocolate). Also, their ice cream is even better now with the recent switch to McConnell's! Aside from sweets, their coffee is great - it's strong and it tastes good. Staff are all very friendly and patient every time I've gone in (and I go there way too often) and so is the owner, Tom! Some people do complain about prices, but perhaps they don't consider that everything is homemade which takes a lot of work! Ooh last thing: they've also begun making some sweets with browned butter, which basically makes my mouth orgasm. What more could you ask for?

    (5)
  • Courtney H.

One word: cookiewich. Is there really anything better than a scoop of ice cream sandwiched between two delicious, homemade, soft cookies? I think not. When I walked in I was given a generous sample of a toffee crunch cookie (1/2 a cookie!). Ended up going with oatmeal chocolate chip, and chocolate peanutbutter cup cookie, and a scoop of vanilla froyo. Messy, but certainly worth it. I second what others have been saying about the weird change though; a $2 and a 50 cent piece? Um, ok...

  • Evan G.

Best ice cream and cookies in Isla Vista. Not amazing, but great service and cheap prices.

  • Emilia S.

I really love the name. My sister and I walked around IV on a dead Sunday night (yes I said dead and IV in one sentence) when I came to visit and we walked in here for some tea. We didn't get anything else but those cookiewiches looked bomb...it was just freezing out. And the girls that were working were really friendly, which I am always surprised by in college-y places. Annnnd I have a $2bill as a souvenir! How cool is that??

    (4)
  • Martin G.

All I can say is.... cookie-wich! These ice cream sandwiches are made with freshly baked, warm, cookies. Chocolate chip ice cream between two chocolate chip cookies...wow.

  • Ellen O.

Got a sweet tooth? GET YOUR BUTT TO IV DRIP ASAP! It's like heaven on Earth. It's like Diddy Riese in Westwood, but our very own version here in IV. You pick your cookies, your ice cream, and WAM BAM you got a piece of heaven in your hands :) I salivate at the very thought of it. They also offer coffee ( after all it is a coffee shop), fraps, etc, not that I have ever tried them ( because I'm to busy being mesmerized by all the cookies) I think they also have free wi-fi, even though I would never study there, not the greatest location ( seating is right next to BOFA's ATMs). This is one of the only places I will miss when I graduate, second to Freebirds of course :)!!

  • Matan G.

I enjoy coming to this place every once in awhile. Their cookiewiches are amazing and the choices you can make are great. Price is very reasonable and the quality of the icecream and cookies are just right. If you want ice cream and a cookies don't look any further then this place.

  • C K.

Real macchiatos. Cheap drip coffee and ice cream sandwiches, which are perfect for when you have a sweet tooth. They charge for debit transactions if I remember correctly.

THEY MICROWAVE THEIR EGGS their breakfast sandwiches suck dick...but their cookwiches are bomb

Long live the Cookiewich. The simple creation we thought of as kids brought forth into reality here. Good selection of ice cream and several cookie selections. Just go in and they will treat you right.

  • April D.

For breakfast, I like getting their breakfast croissants with cheese, tomatoes, eggs, and lemon pepper. It's one of my favorite little breakfast places to go if I'm in a hurry. For a little night time dessert, I come here for the yummy little cookiewiches. They're a little pricey, but more reason for me to not be tempted to have one everyday. I've had other stuff here, it's all been pretty good. No complaints.

    (4)
  • Alyssa B.

The ice cream and coffee are pretty good but it's all about the cookies! Yum I walk to iv drip for cookies with my boyfriend at least once a week. We mix it up but I like the oatmeal raisin and he likes the double chocolate chip.

    cookiewich! nom nom nom!

i.v. drip was the call my daughter made for dessert after eating at Beachside Cafe. Located just next to the UCSB campus this place is a must, if only for the cookies and ice cream. COOKIEWICH is the way to go. 2 cookies with a scoop of ice cream. Did I mention both were homemade. The cookie selcetion was chocolate chip, double chocolate chip, white macadameia, peanut butter and a couple others. Ice creams were chocolate chip, vanilla, chocolate, vanilla fudge swirl, to name a few. I had the vanilla fudge and peanut butter. Simple, but totally bomb!! The cookies are soft and hold the scoop of ice cream well. I really dont know what else they had becuase my daughter told me what to get!! How easy was that. College girl behind the counter was very friendly and you could tell was trained in customer service. Love this place!!

  • Kelly Z.

the people that work at IV Drip never wash their hands. i was watching this employee touching her face and hair and then make my friends bagel. this wasn't the first incident either, this other girl had just collected someones money, never washed her hands, and touched my cookie i ordered. i will never go their again and if i do i will let the manager know.

    (1)
  • Jen C.

The perfect place to go when I'm craving ice cream (which honestly isn't often). My friend is obsessed with their cookiewiches. I usually just go for a single scoop of ice cream ($2.00) which is the perfect amount for me -- not too much, and not too little. I'm not really into super sweet ice cream, so I love that they have "Espresso Chip" there. Not quite as good as Ben & Jerry's "Coffee Heath Bar Crunch" but definitely fixes my craving. You can also add a cookie to your scoop for $0.25 (their M&M cookies are bomb).

    (4)
  • Nick K.

I'm a fan. This is my favorite coffee shop in IV because they serve a strong cup of coffee. They actually have a nice variety of regular coffees. They have a nice selection of baked goods and sometimes they give you a free cookie. Its a cool place to get some studying done or just to sit outside in the sun and take in all that is Isla Vista.

Coffee Good to the Last Drip Is anyone else out there tired of the large chains that somehow seem to capture all the coffee customers? I know I am! Well, if you are ever in the Santa Barbara, CA area, drop into IV Drip. It is a little hole-in-the-wall coffee shop that I found in a bold effort to not only escape from my regular pattern of purchasing "populous coffee" (that is, the coffee that everyone else in the neighborhood is buying) but also support the local economy as well. Its many distinctive features from your regular old java drip include relaxing patio seating, at least one flavored coffee selection and a daily specials board donning any and all sizes of frapacinnos being sold for the bargain price of $2.75 as a celebration of something called "Frappy Days and a free small coffee being offered to any and all breakfast sandwich buyers. So, drop into IV Drip and delight in much more than just your daily drip!

Went up to Santa Barbara to visit my younger sister. And before we left she insisted we walk here and get a cookiewich...When she first said "cookiewich" I was confused.....it could have also been I was still a little "groggy" from the weekend ;] The process is easy... 1. choose 2 cookies (you can't choose 2 different ones if you like =D 2. choose an ice cream flavor (you get one scoop) and voila! a cookiewich is born =] I had the s'more cookies with mint chocolate chip ice cream, LOVED it! Derrick had double chocolate chip with strawberry ice cream **the cookiewich is only $3.50

$3.50 for ONE cookie sandwich is UNACCEPTABLE. Do you know that at Diddy Riese - in Westwood, a REAL college town unlike the garbage dump that is Isla Vista - you can get THREE cookie sandwiches for ONE DOLLAR? It's places like this that make me resent living in Isla Vista, big time. The only good thing about IV Drip is that once I got a $2 bill from there, and those are supposed to be good luck or something.

This place is awesome for a few reasons: open late into the night (every night), ICE CREAM SANDWICHES!, McConnell's ice cream and other delicious baked goods. I'm not quite sure what the difference between IV Drip and iv drip is (on Yelp at least) but 4 stars all around!

If you're ever in or around UCSB and suddenly crave some sweets or desserts this is the place to head to. It's located just a block away from the campus entrance on Enbarcadero Del Norte in I.V. The place to go form some freshly baked cookies: 1 for .90 cents or 3 for $2.50, or if you feel like making it an ice cream cookie sandwhich it's only a dollar more, not bad!! I recommend the snickerdoodle cookies and the GF the crack crinkles. They got other items to choose from as well and as always the staff is very nice and friendly!!

The cookie sandwiches are great! The only problem is that they can be a little messy and drippy! But I guess you should expect that from the name of the place : ). So close to UCSB you can walk there!

What makes the IV Drip special? Their ice cream sandwiches. You get to choose from their freshly made cookies and creamy ice cream. I'm all about selections and letting the customer choose so having this place in the heart of Isla Vista is definitely a plus for a sweet craving.

Man, we really had trouble finding this place! But SB downtown is pretty small, so just walked around some and was able to locate it. They had newly introduced red velvet cookies which were delicious! I mean, you can't really ever go wrong with ice cream sandwiches but these were kinda average. The girl who helped us was pretty chill and sweet =)

cookiewich!! i'm not happy how the price keeps climbing....it started with $1.25 for two freshly baked cookies and a scoop of dreyer's ice cream...now its $1.95, but its still under 2 bucks so its great. but whatsup with the funky change? 2 dollar bills and a bunch of different 1 dollar coins?

I love I.V Drip. I use to love it more when this really hot guy use to work there but I still go all the time for their hot chocolate. It is smooth, creamy, delicious and not powdery. They are also the only place in I.V that has ice cream on a cone and donuts. I.V Drip helps me get through the day. I usually stop by before class, in between classes and when I need a latte for a late night study session. Wow, I just realize I am there a lot.
