    I have been happily buying Haagen Dazs in both grocery stores and ice cream shops for years and years. Well, the Glendale Galleria location in Glendale, CA provided me such a hellish, horrible, stressful, unpleasant, angering, horrific experience that I get red and stressed just thinking about it after the fact. The service was atrocious, to even call it service is not right. The employees I dealt with (I have some of the names of the people I dealt with) were rude, unhelpful, dismissive, and so on. Horrible, horrible experience. I came to the Glendale Galleria Haagen Dazs shop with my boyfriend and they had some flavors that I was curious to try prior to deciding what to order. There are no signs anywhere in the store about sample limits, nor was I informed of any sample limitation. Once I tried three flavors (tiny amount on a tiny spoon) and noticed another flavor that looked interesting, I asked to try that flavor and was told no. I asked the young woman behind the counter very nicely to just let me try that flavor because it looked interesting and was denied. I asked her if I could talk to a manager or someone to get the sample. Then I spoke to the woman who was supposedly the manager (she was just visiting, no name tag, on the customer side) and she was not helpful at all. At all! So, I asked her if I could speak to her supervisor and she went away, used a phone and supposedly called the owner of that location. I do not know the owner's name or phone number, because she said that he does not let any customers know his name or phone number. So, I asked to just talk to him for a minute while she was on the phone with him. That was refused also! Then she told me I could leave my name and phone number. I don't see how it's any more ok for me to leave my name and number with these rude employees than for him to give me his info, but I decided to just leave my name and phone number anyway. Well, I thought the owner would call soon, so I was around the mall for a bit. No call, so around an hour later I walked by the shop again and asked them about the call. Well, one of the employees uses the cordless phone again to talk to the owner. I asked her if I could talk to him for a minute. No, that was not ok by them either. So, she chatted on the cordless phone in the back a tiny bit more and then told me that the owner said he will call me when he has time. This was in the evening on March 21st. It is now April 2nd. I have not received any call from him. I was going to write about this experience earlier, but I have just been so stressed out every time I think of it that I have been avoiding writing it down, plus I was giving the owner a chance to call me back. Well, over a week and a half to not take any steps in resolving an issue of a customer is quite unacceptable, as is the behavior of the employees at the shop. All of the people working there know how to speak English, yet when I was trying to get an issue resolved there, some of them decided to yell to each other in another language while staring at me and giving me dirty looks, which is also not great behavior toward a customer. I was downright traumatized and highly mistreated at this location and that is certainly not what I have come to expect from Haagen Dazs. In fact, I would not expect this kind of behavior and customer mistreatment from any place that deals with customers. I am very upset by what took place and they ruined my evening, plus they ruined the positive impression of the Haagen Dazs name that I have had for years. They wasted my time, the were rude, they stressed me out, they lied to me, they discriminated against me. I saw them give two customer before me what I was asking for (a Midnight Dazzler made with three different flavors of ice cream), yet they decided to be rude and discriminatory towards me because I tried to sample an extra flavor prior to deciding which flavors I wanted t get, so then they decided to not let me try the flavor and to refuse to let me have the Dazzler my way, which they gave to two customers right before me and then lied straight to my face that they don't do it and can't do it for me. Well, they had in fact just given two people before me the Dazzler with three flavors like I was trying to get, then they lie and discriminate. Well, check the cameras, two people had just gotten it, I saw them do it, I heard what was said. It happened. It is not ok to discriminate like that, nor to mistreat customers with rudeness. Nor to lie to customers, nor to deny a customer a tiny little sample of a flavor they are curious about. I am very disappointed and disgusted with what happened and that these kinds of people work in customer service getting paid to ruin people's days and waste people's time rather than brightening their days! ...XooX SuperGirl
