I know these bagels you all are talking about. They have a shine on the outside and are chewy but soft at the same time. I have eaten my share of the best bagels in New York. These Fresno bagels at most are decent I would have to say. Better then regular bagels of course. Their cooked food is average but you get a bagel with it. The best way is to just buy bagels. If you want it cut or buttered it will cost you double the price and cream cheese will cost even more. Not worth it.

Very simple menu and even simpler prices. There is not to many places that you could get the quality of good that you get at Fresno bagel company for the prices they have.

FB & Co never ever disappoints. I've lived in San Diego, Las Vegas, and now LA and still cannot find anyone that does the all-in-one as good as Fresno Bagel does. When I attended highschool in Fres, I remember scrambling to make it out to lunch here for their sandwiches. Absolutely delicious. Plus, they still have the poster of my Clovis West Cheer Squad up from 2005! Wonderful little local fresno joint. Others have never had a bagel so good.

This place is amazing! The food is perfect each and every time! Inexpensive, too! I would highly recommend this place!

Great bagels! Always welcoming people and their breakfast sandwiches are some of the best around.

  • Nathan J.

They don't have as many exotic varieties of bagels as Uncle Harry's but they have good flavor and aren't as greasy. I also really like the homefried potatoes. My girlfriend loves the Spinach, Mushroom and Cheese omelet; its not overly greasy like other breakfast places can be. I've never tried their lunch menu (thai food).

Best bagel place in Fresno or Clovis , remember cash only, because they only make like 15 grand a year according to the IRS LOL, amazing bagels and coffee totally a Fresno ICON been coming for 20+ years and never one bad experience

Best bagels in town! great and fast service. I really like that they actually cook their eggs on a stove top rather than a microwave, like some other bagel places! There onion bagel is fantastic

  • Jennifer G.

Their thai omelet is THE BEST! Small hidden gem in fresno but definitely worth some breakfast! Me and my husband usually take our orders to go and eat at home since the dining area is kinda small. But they also have tables and chairs outside. If ur in the mood for some warm fresh bagels or flavorful omelets this place is definitely recommended

Best bagel joint in Fresno! I used to frequent this place when I was growing up in Fresno. The bagels are always fresh, warm, slightly crispy/chewy on the outside and very soft on the inside..mmmmm. Some of my favorites: 1) All-in-one: everyone loves this fantastic bagel sandwich! Warm, buttered bagel straight out of the oven, egg, cheese, your choice of meat--SO good! 2) Strawberry bagel: there's something about those bright pink, artificially-flavored bagels that make me melt. With a little plain cream cheese--delightful! Just writing about Fresno Bagel Co. is making me hungry...luckily I will be visiting Fresno in a couple days!

It's Saturday and you are out of 8 kinds of bagels. That's not good business. You only take cash? C'mon, it's 2014, get with it. Buy Splenda! You are next to a grocery store. My last request, smile man!!!! Make customers feel wanted. Thai omelet was good.

Bagels are good, prices are good. Wait is horrible. Be prepared to wait 30 minutes for a bagel. Anyway- they owe me about $6 from last Friday because we just couldn't wait any longer and couldn't get their attention and had to leave, so going to go back tomorrow for a refund. This would be the second time, so we are done. Too bad, because we love bagels.

Simply put, this is the ONLY real, boiled and baked New York style bagel store in Fresno. The bagels are to die for. Crisp and crunchy on the outside, and chewy in the middle - only possible if they are made in the traditional way, boiled, then baked. I like other places and their faux, only baked, bagels, with an interesting bunch of flavors, but, for REAL bagels, there is only one place to go in the Fresno area, Fresno Bagel Co. They are cash only, but there is a Von's next door, so, I get my cream cheese there, get extra cash, and get a dozen bagels to go. They freeze very well.

Hands down, these are the best bagels in town! It has such a personal feel to it as opposed to the dead, chain appeal of Drunk Uncle Harry's. The family at Fresno Bagel Co. has been hands on for years, always familiar, smiling faces behind the counter and friendly clientele at tables. Love coming here on the weekend's with runners in from Woodward Park and all those looking to start their day with a delicious meal. The bagels are made with love and are always heavenly fresh! If you want the "Can't Miss" item; then do yourself a favor and order the Bagel All-in-One. I grew up eating these and they are a personal favorite of my family who always are sure to have a breakfast here when in town. Prices are extremely reasonable (cash only though), the staff and atmosphere is fantastic, the food is amazing. This IS the only true bagelry in town!!

First time here. I found them on yelp. They were close by my house in a vons shopping center. Carry cash as other reviews stated. This place is really good! The bagels are freshly made, you can tell. Nice big and soft. You will get what you pay for. I started my first visit with the breakfast bagel sandwich with bacon and added avocado. This was so delicious! They wrap it in foil so if you take it to go, it stays nice and hot. They also have omelets and country potatoes. They looked delicious too! It's a small cafe style dining area with some tables outside too. It all smelled so good. You can smell bagels out in the parking lot too! I will be back.

My sandwich was not edible. I stopped by on my way up to shaver lake. They only had three types of bagels left, strawberry, cinnamon and garlic. So obviously for a sandwich in going with garlic. I know I'm weird. Who doesn't like a salami sandwich on a strawberry bagel? Any deli that uses American cheese is an automatic fail. Half their menu is Thai food. In retrospect I should have gone with pad see ew.

  • Andrea B.

Their signs states, fat free, addictive free, and preservative free. However, it does NOT state no artificial flavoring and artificial coloring free!! Ordered the strawberry bagel which had pink/red swirls in it with strawberry flavoring. I was thinking it was going to be more like a blueberry or cinnamon raisin where their is actual fruit inside, but the strawberry bagel only contained flavoring and food color. I also had a cinnamon raisin bagel which was okay. I didn't care for their cream cheese, lacked that rich cream cheese flavor. Prices are okay, parking was easy, service was fair.

  • Jocelyne R.

The bagel sandwiches are amazingly delicious! You can choose from bacon, turkey, or ham on it with any choice of bagel! They also have phenomenal Thai food and lunch specials. Cash only, but you can always go next door and get cash if you forget. :)

cool spot! I had the 2 eggs with potatoes, and mixed seed bagel. the bagel was delicious! make sure you get it buttered!! loved it!!

  • Karen K.

It was so nice to finally find a bagel like the ones back in NY. Proper chewiness, not bread-like which is what most of the bagels here are like. The one thing that kind of bothered me was that the bagels were not out in display where you could see them like all the ones back east do. They were in back.

These guys are always busy! Be prepared to wait. It is worth it though! Strawberry on strawberry is delish. They are CASH ONLY!

  • Kristel K.

Thai chicken omelet was very tasty. Bagel sandwich was good. Service was speedy and on point. Don't go here for the coffee, but it's what we expected. It was nice to see a Fresno business with a line of people out the door. Would return.

This place is a great place to get bagels. I like to stop over after I shop at vons. The location is pretty close, so I don't make the trek out to unlce harry's even though I would say the bagel quality is on par. After all at the end of the day, it's a bagel. that's about it.

  • Megan B.

Best bagel place in North Fresno, period. The bagels are soft, warm, and fresh. Also, there's a great selection as far as bagel sandwiches go. The all-in-one bagel is totally delish and I've never been able to find a better strawberry bagel. This isn't the place to go if you're looking for a trendy coffee shop. They don't have espresso drinks and their brewed coffee isn't up to par. But they do have bottled juices and other drinks. Lines can be long in the mornings but they move people through quickly. If you're looking for a straight up tasty bagel place, Fresno Bagel Co. is the way to go.

The freshest and most delicious bagels you'll ever eat! I've been going here for years and I have never once been dissapointed. Other bagel places in town do not compare.

  • Jacy C.

great bagels, everyone knows that. in my opinion this is actually one of the best breakfast joints in fresno. you get plenty of food and it's considerably cheap. not a huge space, so the earlier the better if you want a place to sit. it would be nice if they accepted debit/credit cards but i wouldn't want a family-owned business to increase their overhead costs to do so. you have to try the chive cream cheese on a toasted bagel. it's amazing.

  • Andrew O.

I've been going to Fresno Bagel for years and it's still the most amazing place in Fresno. It's always my first stop when I'm back in town. Dining in the All-In-One is a definite go-to, but walking out with a half dozen of full dozen is always a great choice, too! (Don't forget to grab cream cheese!) Pro tip: try to avoid times when the students are there, that'll save some time in line. My go-to: 1) Strawberry. 2) Egg

  • Stephanie B.

Went today because of all the reviews, and because I love trying local favorites. This one was so disappointing, I left half the food there and had to eat somewhere else! I usually am not very picky, so I was quite perplexed. The bagel was okay, but it was piled with a slab of cheap deli meat, American cheese, and tons of mayo. I thought I said I wanted everything on it, but perhaps that hadn't been communicated. And it was so much moneyssss! :( Why, Fresno Bagel? Whyyyyyy?

Best bagel/breakfast place in Fresno! 10X better than uncle harrys! Every Local knows! People that arent from the central valley don't really like this place because your too uptight. This place is so Damn good you guys are trippin' I love the Asian guys there so nice! Only down-fall is they only take cash.

Fire! Way better than Uncle Harry's and on the weekends you may get a chance to see the local celebrity Dustin Klein!

  • Shane R.

bagels are really good - dense, chewy, flavorful. probably better than any bagel i've gotten anywhere else. bagel pastrami sandwich had american cheese, yuck, and too much pastrami. thai omelet was ok. the meat and eggs were overcooked imo, so they were a little dry. i'll come back for the bagel itself for sure.

My son and I were in the mood for bagels and found this gen through Yelp. The man at the register (I assume the owner) greeted us cordially upon entering. We looked over the menu and we're surprised by the array of items to choose from. We each ordered breakfast sandwiches which were delish and two dozen bagels to go. The owner threw in a strawberry bagel to try as well which was very much appreciated. We also also ordered two spreads: veggie and blueberry. We had bagels for lunch and almost died from happiness overload. Then again for dinner. (Don't judge me! They're THAT good). We will be making out of the way trips to this shop while in Fresno for bagels from now till the owner sets up shop in Oakhurst. (I'm dreaming.) Strawberry bagel with blueberry cream cheese is bomb dot com.

Great bagels, pricey cream cheese (just get it next door at Vons) Wish I had a chance to try the more exotic bagel sandwiches (like curry). Oh well, Will have to be the next time I visit!

Growing up in NY. Having tried bagels in Orlando, Tampa, Miami, LA, SF. This has to be the most original NY bagels I have had outside of NY. How do they do it??????

I read the Yelp reviews and thought it would be worth a drive out of the way to try Fresno Bagel Co. Upon arrival, and looking over the menu, my GF and I decided on something simple; two onion bagles, toasted with cream cheese. I don't know if it was a language barrier, but the older gentleman at the front counter refused to toast the bagle, instead telling me that the bagle was already hot, and it would be good like that. After a brief but cordial back and forth, me wanting toasted bagles, he refusing to toast them, I realized it wasn't worth it and decided to take them however he decided to give them to me, and if they weren't toasted I would toast them at home. The bagles were not toasted, which I expected, and we were provided with two small sides of cream cheese, about the same size as the small cups you get salsa in at a to-go Mexican restaurant; definitely not enough in my opinion. All in all I was pretty disappointed in all aspects of the Fresno Bagle Co experience and, although I'm not a huge fan, will be will be going back to the other Fresno area bagle place next time.

The all in one breakfast sandwich I had was very good. I got the ham version on a garlic bagel and added a little salt and pepper to it. It really hit the spot. The bagels were perfect so much so I had to buy my favorite (blueberry) to go. Too bad I don't live in Fresno I would visit much more often!

So...I am a fan of trying local and hole-in-the-wall places over chains. It took me a few years living in the Fresno area to find out that this place even existed. So, I decided to try them the next time I was in the area. I stopped by mid-morning today and ordered three bagels--blueberry, cinnamon raisin, and egg. Since I haven't had New York style bagels since I was in NYC as a kid, I wanted to try them as they are without toasting or cream cheese or anything. I was excited to try something different and something other than Uncle Harry's (which I actually enjoy). I tried half of the blueberry bagel and really wasn't sure what to make of the glossy, chewy exterior and interior that seemed almost undercooked. I do remember that NYC bagels are chewier, and after I wiped away my California bagel expectations, the texture wasn't too bad. But then, there was something funny about the taste. There was practically no blueberry flavor. Instead, the bagel smelled and tasted more of garlic than blueberry. I'm not sure if this batch of blueberry bagels was made after a batch of garlic, or if since I waited until 10:00 am to purchase the bagel, it had had time to pick up the essence of the everything bagels two baskets over... but it did not make for the most enjoyable bagel experience. I smelled the cinnamon raisin bagel, and it too smells faintly of garlic. In all..just as there are different styles of pizzas (flat NY, deep dish Chicago, brick oven baked California) each with their die hard supporters, I believe there are different styles of bagels--also with their die-hard supporters. Maybe if these bagels had more flavor (or the correct not-cross-contaminated flavors), I could grow to enjoy these bagels...but I have to say that I am a California girl, and I prefer my bagels (and pizza) California style. One star for the great price ($2.10 for three bagels), one star for good and friendly service, and one star for the fact that this is a local non-chain. I'm glad they're here, but probably won't come back unless I'm with a friend craving NY style bagels.

This is my second time getting a bagel sandwich from them. The first time I remembered it being really good that's why I came back this time. It's still good, don't get me wrong that's why I was munching away enjoying my food until I saw a DEAD FLY on the lettuce. It looks like it's been dead for days! If I had taken a bigger bite I probably would have eaten the thing! This is so disgusting!

I've since moved out of Fresno, but I make this my first stop whenever I'm in town. This tiny shop has the best bagels in town, and yes, they're worth waiting in line for. Tip: this place is cash only, and they do sell out of the more popular flavors early, so get there early with cash in hand. Also, for anyone who complained about them running out of flavors, you're a terrible person, and most of society hates you. Congrats on branching out to a non-corporate eatery for the first time though!

So first and foremost I am not big on bagels or breakfast pastries of that sort to begin with; but lately have had the craving for a good bagel and cream cheese. Decided to try this place on a whim, mostly on the merit of a locally owned business and it's Fresno local following. I have to say I am glad I did! Although the wait was a solid 20 minutes (there was about 6 or 7 people ahead of me, 10:00 am), the bagels were worth the wait. This place is small with limited seating, and like I said prepare for a wait. The service is not very efficient but I can't complain the staff behind the counter stayed very busy helping customers. I ordered an assortment of bagels ranging from blueberry, strawberry, cinnamon raisin, egg, and maybe a few others. On the side, I had just regular cream cheese and a flavored cream cheese with walnut, cinnamon, and raisin. All the bagels were really good. Very dense bagels, and appropriately fresh- some were even warm. Also fair size, considering how dense they are one can be filling. The cream cheese were all good and nothing special; the flavored one I ordered was definitely a good choice. It says on their menu that the bagels are "NY style bagels", and since I don't have a reference point to compare I assume that is why they are a little more heavy than usual. In all, I would surely choose this place over Uncle Harry's, especially if you are in the area. Fresno Bagel also offers other breakfast items like bagel breakfast sandwiches, scrambles, and omelets; which I noticed a fair amount of people had ordered. A must try if in the mood for bagels!

This place is the best! Where else can you get a delicious bagel sandwich for less than $4. Highly recommend the all-in-one with bacon on a whole wheat bagel. Yum-o!!

  • Kay Z.

I cannot imagine a better bagel anywhere. I've tried all the others, but I keep going back to Fresno Bagel. I order mini bagels for parties, which are so cute and tasty on a breakfast buffet. Make sure to pre-order.

Amazing bagel breakfast sandwiches! Service can be slow at times, but well worth the wait.

  • Heather N.

I found this place thanks to my boyfriend shortly after we moved down the street. My first inclination was to just go to uncle Harry's, but when I heard about this place I wanted to give the local place the business. So. Glad. I. Did. All in one bagel sandwiches are awesome and the bagels themselves are really well made and have great texture. 2 bagel sandwiches (eggs, cheese, bacon/sausage/ham) plus 2 bagels with cream cheese and a coffee for around $14. Sometimes the wait is long because they are so busy, but totally worth it. I haven't tried the Thai food yet but one of these days I'm sure I will!

  • Brian J.

Best bagels on the planet... and I even used to live in New York! I used to get an "All-N-One" (egg, ham, and cheese on a strawberry or blueberry bagel) before going to school at Clovis West High. They are fast and their prices haven't changed much in over twenty years. I can feed my wife, two kids, and I for around $12! Try that at Einstein's bagels or Uncle Harry's... and they won't even get close to the quality. Light, chewy, and the perfect bagel. I post photos of this place each time I visit and get a ton of excited likes/comments on Facebook by friends who love this place, as well. That is no coincidence. They truly are the best.

Pad Thai noodle served with steamed jasmine rice, green salad, and a buttered bagel? Odd. I didn't order that. Just got an onion bagel, toasted, with chive cream cheese. I really wanted the garlic bagel but they were out :-( The chive cream cheese is good - with real chives mixed into plain cream cheese - not fake tasting at all because they use real chives, and also not overwhelming in flavor. The onion bagel is good but on the doughy side. Maybe next time I will ask for it extra toasted because my bagel more like "onion bagel, warmed (rather than toasted)." Definitely not the best bagel I've ever had but I've also lived in NYC so it's not fair to compare this place with places like H&H. I would go back again to try the garlic bagel, extra toasted.

  • Lindsey M.

Okay, I admit that I am probably extremely biased being that I am a native New Yorker, but these are very "meh" bagels. The fact that Fresno Bagel Co. is half bagel place, half Thai restaurant should have been my first clue. These might in fact be the best bagels in Fresno (I wouldn't know because my experience here scarred me so badly I haven't been anywhere else), but if you happen to be a stranded New Yorker or someone who knows what a good bagel should taste like, then I would not recommend this place. These tasted more like stale bread than doughy delicious bagels. Blah.

    (2)
  • James R.

Even though they only take cash, I can't take any stars away because the bagels are the best in the whole world! It's worth the drive from Los Angeles...and yes we do squeeze in a visit to family and friends when we make the 200 mile journey for the awesome bagels.

  • Jay S.

This place is legit, and I am pretty sure that its the same people that had a location over on Blackstone & Herndon. This place is way better than Uncle Harry's, and their sandwiches aren't bland and boring like Uncle Harry's can be. I am on board with any place that I can get a pastrami bagel sandwich for breakfast! I will definitely be back.

  • John S.

If you want a delicious breakfast, Fresno Bagel is the place to go. Although the seating is rather limited and small, the food is pristine and the service is rather speedy. You can even call ahead to order food if in a rush. Fresno Bagel is a great place to go for the Kastner-Clovis West students in the community.

  • Wes T.

Best bagels in town. Period. The all-in-one is one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches of all time. I highly recommend the Bacon all-in-one. They chop up the bacon and scramble it in with the eggs. The vegetable cream cheese is phenomenal as well. Been here too many times to count. A++

Back in my high school days this was the breakfast that everyone was envy of! Students snuck off school not to do bad things but to order an All in One bagel to bring back to class and make everyone jealous (friendships were made and broken over the bagels). The Stawberry All in One Bagel is my usual order and still as amazing as I remember but the service is very straight forward. It's 'what do you want, now pay me mentality' no hi, bye or how's everything goin? It's time for another visit soon...

My college friends and I road tripped to Fresno (out of love for a Ms. Erickson), and we wanted to frequent our local Fresno-ian's bagel shop (also, this place is owned by Thai people and one of our friends is a Thai princess ;]). The bagels are delicious. We all ordered the All-in-One except for two of us, and I loveeeeeed the All-in-One (a wheat bagel (or bagel of your choice), with egg, bacon (or meat of your choice), and cheese) for a great price of $3.55. One of our friends also ordered a strawberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese - be prepared to smile because the cashier will shout to the back, "Straw Straw!" Also be sure to admire all the Clovis West High School's cheer prep/basketball/golf/school photos! Esp. the group shot of Clovis' golf team on the right side of their drink refrigerator. PRICELESS.

I can't believe I've never tried anything else but their bagel and cream cheese during the high school years cuz if I had known, I would've tried everything in their menu! Lately, I've been getting their all in one that tastes absolutely good each time I get it and I've always felt consistent deliciousness is the key to a fantastic business when it comes to food. I am quite excited to try out their thai cuisine and how that compares to thai country. Nonetheless, I've made Ev a fan so it's all good and I've been spreading the word to others as well. We gotta support locally owned businesses!!!

These are seriously some of the best bagels I've ever had. I come to this place every time I'm in town! I love their strawberry bagel!

  • Heide L.

I don't get it? This was AWFUL.. the bagel was doughy and undercooked. The bacon was burnt and the egg was overcooked and burned. The potatoes were burned on the outside but still undercooked and crunchy. Plus they tasted of stale oil. What in the world is so great about this place?? Is it the fact that you don't know anything else?? Gross..

Basically, no other bagel place COMPARES to Fresno Bagel. Lately, I've been eating over at Uncle Harry's just because it's so close to my house, and there's never a line, and it's good. I like it. But Fresno Bagel will always be my favorite. Their "all-in-one" sandwich is to die for. I always get it with bacon on a sesame bagel. In fact, I probably ate one on 90% of my mornings while I was in high school. If you don't decide to go for the all-in-one, all their bagels are really delicious, even with just cream cheese (which, trust me, you will get a LOT of). They have a nice selection of flavors of bagels, cream cheeses, and also rice and potatoes if you want something on the side. The only downfalls of this place are that EVERYONE knows it's delicious, so the line is always long and they only accept cash.

Best Bagels EVER! Need I say more? I always go in at least once when I'm visiting family in Fresno. I can't find strawberry bagels anywhere else (when I have, they don't taste like strawberry at all)...but all of their bagels are delicious. They are cash only, but I'm sure that has helped keep their prices low. I wish there was one in SoCal!

Wow. 4.5 stars... I was all about it when I read the reviews. THEN I took a bite. So, the hubby went to pick up some breakie. Bagels are always a great option for me. I ordered a whole wheat bagel with veggie cream cheese and a turkey, egg, and cheese sandwich on a garlic bagel. Not at all impressed. The veggie cream cheese tasted like normal cream cheese with a little bit of garlic powder and chopped up carrots, green onion, and white onion mixed in. The veggie were a bit too roughly chopped (big) for me. The bagels were soft, they didn't have that bagel texture: thin, hard shell on the outside, softness on the inside. Instead, they reminded me of bagels you can buy at the grocery store that are just squishy. The breakfast sandwich bagel was just as much of a disappointment. It was soft and everything in it was greasy. The garlic pieces on the garlic bagel were sticky they stuck to my fingers as I picked up the bagel, I like crunchy bits of garlic on my garlic bagel that don't stick to the hands. Oh well. The husband also says it was difficult to order, as the man behind the counter spoke almost no English. I understand that this is a Thai-owned place, but when majority of your clientele speaks English...well, it'll be nice to be able to be sure you're being understood by the person taking your order. I won't be back even though the place has great prices. It's just not worth it.

Fresno Bagel is a great place to eat. I go there so much the owner recognizes who I am and asks which omlette I want to eat. The only one omlette i had some grief about is the thai chicken omlette. It was just a little bit salty for me other than that the rest of them are amazing. For 5 dollars plus tax you get an omlette, homestyle potatoes, and any bagel you want with butter. Great price and very delicious. The place itself is a little small, but it gives a nice cozy atmosphere. You can also dine outside which is nice. I haven't been able to eat their lunch food items, but im sure they are as good as their breakfast food items

You'll never believe it if you haven't been, but these damn Thai people make the best Jewish bagels you ever had. The hole in the wall atmosphere is part of the charm. You see neighborhood people every day. Summer is their slow season, but when school starts back up plan on a 20 minute wait if you get there past 7 am. It's worth it. Try the pad thai. As I already mentioned, Thai people own it, so you can guaran-damn-tee the pad thai is amazing! My german shepherd loves it! If that's not an endorsement I don't know what is.

This place deserves more word of mouth advertising. Every breakfast bagel sandwich will satisfy, but for some great stuff, go for their Thai chicken or ham and cheese omelet. Accompanied by their awesome breakfast potatoes!! Also they serve one of the best bay area coffee brands, Farmer Bros.

I used to have to go to the store to pass on the Pace salsa. Now I can do it here and wish they had some house made salsa or I can just not go again. Canned salsa? Really? Oh, and there is an extra charge for the canned condiment. Q:What does fresh made salsa require?A: A blender and 4 veggies,.... but that would be trying and since they have been told they don't have to try, they won't try. That and the American cheese on the interior of the omelette completed the let down. Those items aside, the omelette was ok, the bagel was good and everything was cheap but in no way does this place deserve the kind of ratings the locals give it and it should be rated on more than one menu item. I understand that the other guys are serving shit on a shingle and FBCO is not, but........I for one will not give em a pass just because it is mediocre and has a couple Clovis posters on the wall. Don't get me started on the cash only rant. 2.5 stars....I am learning but the curve has been steep.

Best hole in the wall place in Fresno. I would recommend the Thai chicken omelet. It gets really busy on saturdays, so expect the wait. It's worth the wait!

This establishment has received many awards before and I can clearly see why. Their bagels are like no other in Fresno. This is literally the top of the line bagelry in terms of taste, texture and overall price. There are so many varieties and so many smears to choose from, not to mention their breakfast bagels are just mouth-wateringly WONDERFUL! I recommend their strawberry bagel because it is like no other strawberry bagel you've ever tasted! Slab on a layer of cream cheese (I don't know what they do here but even their plain flavored cream cheese is the perfect fluffiness of heaven in your mouth) and you are set for the morning! They also serve other dishes for brunch and the likes and let me tell you, I use to go specifically to one place and one place only to get Phad Thai but since I've tried the Phad Thai here, I have not been able to find better Phad Thai anywhere else. This is real, authentic Phad Thai that they serve here.. Not just flimsy noodles with chicken, bean sprouts and peanuts thrown into a dish. The best part is that when you order dishes here, they give you a complimentary bagel and cheese filling of your choice along with your choice of a small house salad or fruit salad. Both are delicious :) Definitely, Fresno's hidden gem.

Cant beat the price for these huge bagels. Pay less than two dollars for three bagels. Make sure to try the strawberry and blueberry. My favorite. Cash only.

I will preface this by saying i am from New York and other than a dirty water dog from the city, there is almost nothing more i enjoy in the world than a great bagel! This place delivers! Awesome choices of fresh bagels, great cream cheese choices, i love this place so much, every time my friend from Fresno (Although i think she is from Clovis personally as she went to Clovis East) comes down to San Diego she brings me a bag of bagels from here! They have some wonderful sandwiches for very reasonable prices that will leave you quite full, so please do yourself a favor and eat here!

Really are the best bagels in town! Don't waste your money going to Uncle Harry's anymore! I can't pick a favorite smear/bagel combo here... all of them are great! There's at least six different cream cheese spreads to choose from, and every bagel imaginable. They also make other breakfast foods & some lunch items. Their Pad Thai is still one of the best I've had in Fresno, it's gotten me through writing a lot of stories close to the deadline. Their breakfast potatoes are also some of the best I've had, one friend called them truly addictive. The owners are amazing and really go over the top to serve loyal customers. I helped my grandma order 50/something bagels from them to thank her oncologist's office. When we picked them up, Pat (I believe that's his name) had not only given us more than we ordered, but he arranged the cream cheese on trays with melon balls and other amazing little fruit carvings! The cream cheese had been scooped with an ice cream scoop, which made it look too perfect! We were just expecting bagels in bags and cream cheese in tubs!

Oh my goodness, I love this place, but this place is a dieter's nightmare. everything they have is delish! they also have ethnic-style breakfast. I was definitely surprised. It's small place but clean, and great food at good prices. The variety of bages is nice and the quality is very good. Everytime I come in here, I find fresh bagels and fresh breads. When I reach my weight goal, I'm definitely coming back here for a little treat.

This place is so good. The only thing preventing me from giving this place 5 stars is they don't do debit cards; cash only. But they have been here for years and years; and who knows how long they were at blackstone/griffin. I love this place. It's like the soup-nazi but a lot nicer; their bagels are so good they don't have to worry about conforming to any norms.

One of my favorite places on this earth. The all-in-one (your choice of bagel with bacon (my favorite) and an american cheese slice), bagel on parade (your choice of bagel (cream cheese extra, comes buttered), two eggs any style and home fried potatoes) or just their bagels with cream cheese are to die for. Their menu is actually really extensive for being a bagel house. Hands down the best bagels I have had in my life. This Asian bagelry knows how to do it! They've been in business for 20+ years and it is somewhere I've been coming since I was a kid, and I now people that were coming long before I was. They do have lunch items available; usually a lot of Thai options, which I myself haven't tried (I come for the bagels) but friends of mine have been very happy with their lunch choices and omelets as well. They're open until 2pm; bring cash because they don't do credit or debit. The cash only keeps the prices down and I usually just pop into the Von's next door, get a bottle of water with my debit card and get cash back for bagels. You'll probably find a line, but you'll get served quickly. There are very few tables inside (maybe 6?) and a couple of tables outside. I usually order food to-go unless I'm there during an hour where it is quiet; usually close to closing. The walls of the restaurant are decorated Clovis West High School's sports team posters; they have pride in their community. Awesome, awesome place.

I love this place. It reminds me of Jr High and High School when we seriously used to frequent this place on a weekly basis. Why? Because they have freshly made strawberry bagels. These puppies are hard to find. Believe me, I've searched. And when I have been fortunate enough to come across one elsewhere, they're never as good as the ones from here. Soooo yummy! The prices are cheap compared to the big chains and the bagels are definitely better. The interior is small. I think they have about 6 tables or something. And it's not a foo foo place at all. Basically a hole in the wall shop. But the service is friendly and the food's good so that definitely works for me. I heart this place. Give it a try.

Been coming here for years and I'll never go to another bagel place. Everything's home made and made fresh every day. Prices are reasonable and the tastes are amazing. There is usually a line to or at the door, but it goes by fast and only goes to show that all the locals come here.

Due to all the positive ratings on Yelp, I had to try this place out. When I went into the establishment, I did not know what to expect. I stood there for a while, looking at their menu. Finally, I decided upon the All in One Bagel with sausage. I really liked this breakfast sandwich. There is not sausage patty, just cut up sausage slices. I like that. One of the other yelpers mentioned the bagels not being bready. I, wholeheartedly, agree. The type of bagel (I had whole wheat) that they serve here are my type of bagels. Since I did not have enough cash on me, I was unable to select other bagels to try. That will have to wait for another time. I am glad that I took the time out to try this place!

(Family owned) These bagels are the best in the Fresno/Clovis area. New York Style Bagels, served warm & soft (as they should be in my opinion) with a heaping serving of cream cheese, tucked tightly in foil wrap. I don't like plain cream cheese so I would recommend the strawberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese. My husband would recommend the "All-in-one" with a strawberry bagel (REAL eggs, fried with american cheese, and choice of ham or bacon....get the ham!)

I am also from the east Coast NY NJ area originally so know a good bagel when I see it..This place does deliver..great boiled bagel not like the ones at Noahs or Harrys bagels..a great value at 50cents when you buy 2 or more too. I cant believe Noahs in the Bay Area now charges.99 for an average bagel.. This place has great service is efficienbt affordable and the people are always nice. ALso the hashbrown potatoes and egg omlettes are really reeally good too I was pleasantly suprised by this gem of a place! 5 stars for me!

New York Style Bagels anyone? in Fresno this is where true New York style bagels are made and sold, its chewy, dense interior and a thick, golden crust are the trademarks of what I consider a "true" bagel. You might say, I can buy bagels at groceries store? Believe me its not the same, buying bagels at groceries is like buying burgers at the groceries. But remember to bring CASH, because this place accepts CASH only and there are no acceptations. Come early too, since the bagels will be fresh out of the oven in the morning, but even when I visited at lunch the bagels were nice and warm. I must say Im amazed that the owners and bakers are actually asians- or rather south east asians and not like some jewish people or white people I mean its a polish/jewish food you would think its made by those people, but here it isn't. its made by asians, well i thought that was funny, irregardless the bagels are legit and taste really like it does in New York. All their plain and flavored bagels are sold at $0.70 each, I mean that is dirt cheap for me, Im talking quality bagels here, also in addition to buying just bagels you could also have a complete breakfast meal there, because they have eggs with bagel. omelette with bagels, Heck they even have bagels with thai specials like thai curry and what not - again south east asians are making these lol, so they will offer some of their local flare to go with the bagel, how awesome is that. The plain bagel I ordered was $0.70 and tasted really warm and dense, had a lovely golden brown exterior with a slight crunch on the outside, and a chewy dense inside yet so soft. The bagels are so good, you can even eat it on its own, but of course bagels aren't right without cream cheese right, so if you must smother it with cream cheese, but I'm telling you even by itself its so delicious. In addition, I also tried the cinnamon raisin bagel, it again shared the same texture and flavor as the plain but had the taste of raisin and of course the rush of cinnamon taste as I took a bite. It was really delicious. Overall I would be back and I would certainly recommend anyone looking for the New York style bagels to come here, because they are the best in the central cali ! But remember to bring cash. I just hope the owners would get those debit card/credit card swipe thing already, I mean who brings cash these days anyways, but oh well.

First of all, the bagels here are extremely delicious. They're perfectly firm on the outside & chewy on the inside with great flavor. I've had the mixed seed, the onion, and plain bagels. All wonderful. The prices are amazing too. It blows Uncle Harry's out of the water. However, I ordered the All-In-One bagel sandwich, I have to say it was pretty bland. The eggs really could've used some seasoning. Couldn't taste the cheese. And the sausage was somehow flavorless. But at least the bagel was great.
