I don't care if Chipotle is a chain. I don't care if it's owned by McDonalds. I totally support our local eating establishments, but Chipotle is fast and consistent - and some times I don't want to "do the mess around." I get the burrito every time. They are HUGE. Usually, I can't finish it, so that's a late afternoon snack too. Bonus! I've had all their meats and they're all good; but I often go for the chicken, the shredded beef, or the carnitas... my personal favorite. Get the pico de gallo, the hot salsa (it's not that hot), and ALWAYS get the corn salsa too. It's tha bomb. The guac is more or less real guac, the "sour cream" seems to be more like real Mexican crema than most places, and if you go for cheese, they always hook it up. I'm a fan. Auf.

Clean, fast, friendly service. Very consistent. They just added a kids' menu not too long ago. We ordered a barbacoa (shredded beef salad), 3 soft chicken tacos with cheese only, and chips. Total was just under $15.

Absolutely relish the chicken burrito bowl with chips & guacamole. The burritos are also awesome.

This Chipotle defined my high school experience. My school had a deal with this place, and we got free fountain drinks with a valid student ID. Score! I seriously came here every single day M-F during my senior year. It started out as a rare treat. I'd come here if I had an upperclassmen friend who asked me to go out to eat for lunch and happened to want to eat here. That was probably every other week. But when I got my license and senioritis hit, I skipped fifth and sixth period to eat and chill here, then hit up Borders, just a couple blocks away. Vegetarian fajita burrito. Rice, black beans, peppers and onions, all the salsas that will fit, sour cream, cheese, and (free) guac. That's how I rolled back then. And that's still how I roll today. My favorite Chipotle feature is the bottles of Tabasco. Chipotle Tabasco is the BEST. It's the dark reddish brown one, and it is magic in a bottle. I usually end up using nearly the entire thing on one burrito. I'm crazy like that. But it's SO good. And the Asian dude who works there slash owns the place is really nice, even if he does kind of talk like a burrito-making robot. My favorite Chipotle in the world :)

This Chipotle is like the others I have been in. Very clean, very nice staff, conveneint., and easy parking. This place is very close to my work so occasionally I will walk over and get something either for lunch or after work to take home for dinner (especially when my employer set up free burrito mondays here). I have been pleased with this place every time I have gone in. I love chipotle and think this one is as good as any.

I don't know why so many people hate on Chipotle -- you can't go to a place like this and expect super authentic Mexican food! They make Americanized Mexican food and it's good for Americanized Mexican food! This is probably the location I go to most since I moved back from Davis and it's been just as good!

  • Peter C.

Man, this place can get crowded. The food is standard for Chipotle, which is to say pretty good. But i've never cared much for the spartan decor. And this particular location gets a bit too busy for me.

  • Melissa T.

This Chipotle is not bad. The people are pretty nice and the food's pretty good. The seating is plentiful (always a plus) and the food usually comes out right, so two thumbs up for that.

*3.5 stars* Much better than I though it would be. Good thing I was here w/ K, who has frequented Chipotle... otherwise the simplistic menu really would have confused me. I got the vegetarian burrito... it was so good I didn't miss the meat that I normally order on non-Fridays during Lent. I'm really not a fan of green peppers (or red, for that matter) but it had a sort of smokey grilled taste and the texture was just right to mask the usual texture and taste of the peppers. Also liked that their chips were flavored w/ lime. Wish we got the guac instead of the salsa, though. So, if you're ever in the mood for upscale Taco Bell, try Chipotle. Yes, it's more expensive, but it's also a *healthier* choice.

All I wanted was a yummy salad-like entity, a mediocre beer, and a nice quiet place to read my book. Well...I ordered a vegetarian burrito bol instead of a salad, and it was a blissful bowl of cilantro infused happiness with lotsa lettuce to make me think I was eating a salad. I always get the tomatoes (aka mild salsa) and hot salsa to give me the spiciness I need to go with my CILANTRO. Anyway...it wasn't that quiet. They're quite busy on a weekday lunch hour...but I can't fault them for that. The bathrooms are always lovely and the sign on the cash register says, "pick a card, any card"...which just makes me want to give corporate America a great big hug! I effing hate cash!!! - 1 Star for having lemons instead of limes and forcing me to squeeze a lemon, YES A LEMON, into my Corona. Yeah, it's that big of a deal.

I love Chipotle! =) This is one of my favorite locations, mainly due to the environment. I just like how calm it is in this one and they little outside seating patio is really nice to just relax or have lunch with friends. My boyfriend and I go to Chipotle waaaay to often [which is part of our money problems lol] but the food is awesome! **Updated 9/9/09** I'm not as much of a fan of it as I was, mainly because I ate it waaay too much lol so a word of advice, as with all things only eat here in moderation so you don't get sick of it. I had it today for lunch for the first time in a few months and it was nice. =) It comes out to around $7 for a burrito or bowl but its ALOT of food...large portion and really if you're not a heavy eater it can last for two meals. If you're on a tighter budget or have kids then I would suggest ordering a quesidilla. [Not on the menu as far as I know.] The'yre only a few bucks and super yummy, especially if you pay a little extra for some meat. Hope that helps a bit more and go grab yourself a burrito already! =)

This place is close, convenient, fast, reliable and affordable if I ever had a craving for a fast burrito! No surprises, I get what I ordered in this burrito chain. I usually order one of the meat fajita burritos w/sauteed peppers and onions instead of beans. Good stuff! I get tired of this after eating this too often, then I will try other things for a while before coming back to this again! chipotle.com

SLOW, SLOW, SLOW This is the slowest chipotle I've been to and I've walked out cause the line took too long my last 3 times other thing vie noticed is the meat is always cold

Of all the Chipotles I have visited, this location has the best customer service. Chipotle is a different kind of mexican. It's not too authentic since it is a chain and the fact that they do not use spanish rice. Instead they use white rice which has a hint of cilantro and lime. Their burrito bols are great if you are not much of a tortilla fan. The best meat is their carnitas which is a distinct flavor of juniper berry. If you order their crispy taco and like sour cream, be specific and ask them to put sour cream from end to end otherwise they'll just add a layer of sour cream on the top middle only leaving you with a two dry bites, a moist bite, and then more dry bites. Their chips are too salty, but their salsa and guacamole is very good (although on the pricey side for a side of guac.).

I missed out on the Chipotle craze a few years ago. I decide to stop in to see what was so special about Chipotle. Upon walking in, have to say that I was impressed with the interior. Chipotle has a slick industrial feel to it, something that I would have never expected from a southwestern style restaurant. You are presented with a big board with basically 3 options to choose from food wise, Burritos, Tacos, and Bowls. Each of these have beef, chicken, and pork. It's pretty cool that you can walk up to the counter and they make the food right in front of you. I ended getting the Barbocoa (spicy beef) burrito. After that, they asked you what you want in (rice, beans, cheese, etc) and they make it right there for you. I ended up paying about $6 for just a burrito. They also sell a couple of select options of beer if you want to go in that direction. So I got the Burrito after what was a nice presentation, but the food was well below par. The making of the food in front of you was cool, but the end result was in a COLD Burrito. The rice was just regular white rice, beans were cold, and the Barbocoa was semi warm. I will say the Barbocoa had a nice level of spiciness too it, but serving basically a cold burrito takes away some of the appeal. Also, not getting free chips after spending $6 on a burrito is pretty cheap. So overall after a nice presentation but the burrito was a total let down. I can see if I lived in a place where my only option was Chipotle and Taco Bell, that this place would be better, BUT we live in an area where there TONS of Taquerias all over the area with much much better food at cheaper prices (and they give you chips for free too). Chipotle gets 2 stars and it's based upon presentation.

What's not to love about Chipotle?? Hands down my favorite "fast-food" Mexican restaurant! I could eat it everyday, but have been cut back to just once a week. hmmm. I think I might eat there for lunch today. SOOO good. Burrito Bol!!

It's not an authentic taqueria... but I still love it! Although it is becoming exceedingly popular, seeing that it is currently popping up in almost every city in the bay, I can never refrain myself from stopping by whenever I pass by one. I'm partial to their chicken burrito (cilantro-lime rice, pinto beans, adobo seasoned chicken, sour cream, cheese, fresh tomato, guacamole, and romaine lettuce). I believe my love for this place may be due to their cilantro-lime rice. The lime is refreshing and the cilantro gives an extra kick of flavor. It's what truly gives their food a healthful essence. Overall, Chipotle is healthy, delicious and inexpensive (for its quality).

lately they have gotten pretty bad! I ask for sauce they charge me? What??? I understand if it's a side of Guac, or cheese or Sour cream. but, salsa at a 'Mexican' fastfood restaurant? Please!!!!

  • Ryan T.

chain Mexican food, not the most imaginative or incredible, but pretty consistent--I like the fact that I can get a "bol" so I can forego the flour tortilla while I'm trying to stay away from wheat :-(. It's also walking distance from me, so that's a plus. Nice for those busy times I can't cook etc.

3.5 Stars, but I'll round up. I'm a Qdoba fan now... I mean, Chipotle is good, but they get boring... menu isn't limited or anything, but Qdoba's sauces and larger variety of menu items and whatnot just make me enjoy them all the more. I like the Chicken here so much more though, plus there's no Qdoba up here that I know of, so Chipotle will do! Haven't eaten here in a while (Around half a year or more) but the last Chipotle I had was still pretty good!

Chipotle is a perfectly acceptable burrito chain if you don't have any other decent burrito places around. In the Bay Area though? Skip it. The food is overpriced. They charge for chips and extra salsa. (Completely stupid way to earn extra cents, imo. It is glaring when almost everywhere else has free chips, even Baja Fresh.) Only rice offered is white. This place has decent food, don't get me wrong, but with the tons of other good taqueria's in the area I don't see why I would go here again.

I honestly hate going to this location. The lines are so insanely long, you often find workers on the food line that seem unsure of what they are doing...management is unresponsive. They are never organized and cashier always seems to be running in the back for one thing or another as if they weren't prepared to serve food that day.

    (1)
  • Dee V.

Huge lines on a Saturday night- almost to the door- a minimum of 30-40 min wait. Left. Came back on Sunday- late lunch around 3:30pm. There was a line and most tables taken but it wasn't too bad so decided to check it out. Got 2 dishes- a queseritto and a burrito bowl. The queseritto is a special burrito and they charge $3 extra for that. In other places they have melted cheese between 2 layers of tortilla, and then they proceed making a regular burrito. Here they just added cheese to a single tortilla ( actually half as they ripped the tortilla in half- in thickness) and then made the burrito. The thinness made it a little hard to handle and eat. The burrito bowl was as good as ever. The corn here was better than everywhere else. I loved it. Also very friendly and helpful staff. They were constantly on the move because of the crowd but they did a good job of handling them.

THE WORST CHIPOTLE. Who hates chipotle? No one. How do you even make someone hate chipotle? By taking them to this chipotle location. The workers are slow, stupid and RUDE (especially the worker with a tattoo behind her ear). Spend a little more on gas and go to a different location where you can get better service and a quality burrito bowl.

    (1)
  • Denise C.

Wow I asked a coworker to order and pick up a chicken bowl from chipotle a few minutes ago and let me say The bowl was not the greatest. I worked for chipotle for 9 months and worked as prep so I know what ingredients go into each salsa, meat, etc. my food was sooooo bland! I know chipotle uses salt in almost everything. The mild salsa didn't taste like the lime juice it usually has as well as the white rice. Every bite I took tasted like nothing. Pretty disappointed at my dinner I'm giving them 2 starts just for the fact that I at least got my bowl and I know what it's like to work for Chipotle.

  • Nadeem A.

I'm not normally a fan of Chipotle, since there are better burrito joints for the kind of burrito I like. But sometimes in life you end up Chipotle, and you try to make the best of it. So I ordered my gold standard burrito, the burrito I order at any burrito shop - steak, pinto beans, no rice, cheese, and sour cream. Somehow, this location of Chipotle managed to make the worst burrito I've ever had in my adult life. The steak was flavorless, the beans were mealy, and the tortilla was stale. On the plus side, the guacamole was great. The wifey said her burrito bowl (barbacoa, pinto beans, sour cream, and cheese) hit the spot. So can man live just on good guac and a content wife? Probably! But that doesn't mean I'm ever coming back.

Got a hair in my burrito bowl, they promptly agreed to replace or refund me, I wanted a replacement as I was hungry but they asked me to come at the back of the long line for the second time. I was too hungry to go through the long line again so I had to take a refund and leave the restaurant with a hungry stomach.

Staff is too slow.. Especially at the billing counter. Nobody wants to wait 20 minutes for a burrito..

    (2)
  • Ray C.

My favorite Chipotle hands down, and I have had my fair share of good and bad Chipotles.. The staff are friendly, serve good size portions of the ingredients, and don't give you like only a teaspoon more when you ask for more or something. The ingredients are never too overcooked and undercooked here either. There is ample seating as well which not all Chipotle's have. This Chipotle also happens to be on the corner of Paseo and Mowry, which is next to BART, high schools and a lot of businesses thus lunch and dinner time at this Chipotle is extremely busy so plan on waiting in line if you come at those times. And to be fair there have been times where I have had bad experiences with staff here, but never bad enough for me to not want to come back. I can't expect for my service to be godly every single time, but 99% of the time this Chipotle does not disappoint.

    (4)
  • Jake P.

This Chipotle knows what's going on. Spring in their step, attention to detail. Chicken was cooked all the way through - not chewy and undercooked like some other locations. The chefs and assembly line folks seemed to have a good dialogue to keep on top of potential shortages. Will surely come back to this location.

This chipotle has the slowest service. Stood in line for 30 mins at 3pm! Line is moving too slow they might need to consider hiring new people.

The only complaint I have is ..its ALWAYS crowded. But I guess when the food is good it will be :) I love chipotle food and they do have lot of vegetarian options too.. Soferita , veggies, beans and guacamole is so damn tasty ..

  • Anna N.

I love chipotle but the customer service at this place sucks. There were these two workers who gave very little servings. When I nicely asked for a little more, one of them put as much as a thimble sized amount. Then we go to the salsa guy, and I asked for my mild on the side but he just puts it in the burrito bowl. Then towards the end of it, the last girl gave me the normal amount that I'm used to, on that side at least. I'm not sure if the employees get paid here more if they serve less but definitely not coming back here.

Cashiers are stupid. There is a long line and she takes a break leaving the cash register unmanned for 5 minutes. I understand everyone needs a break but before you take your break the person relieving you on your position should tap you out and take over. Get your teamwork together, it's unprofessional and it's very bad customer service.

Food is good but they are just way too damn slow. And not just sometimes! EVERY FUCKING TIME! If you have all fucking day then yeah I would recommend this chipotle. Dueces

Employees taking their time when the line is out the door. Have some sense of urgency, people are waiting 30-45 minutes for a burrito or bowl.

  • Andrew T.

I honestly don't know why I decided to come here again. Maybe my love of chipotle outweighed my hatred for this particular branch, maybe I thought, it couldn't have really been that bad, right? I was probably exaggerating in my last review. But nope. nope. This place is as bad as ever. Bad service. Bad food. and bad wait times. Nothing good about this place. The servers were EXTREMELY rude, and it still ended up taking forever to get my food, which was cold, and they were out of guacamole at 7:00pm.

    (1)
  • Lifhdy V.

Really upset that I stood in a 30 minute line at 9, only to have them run out of all the toppings. I wasn't going to pay full price for a burrito with tomato sauce. After being in a long wait I would expect to be able to receive what I pay for. I looked back to see an even longer line. I don't understand why it would be so hard to take out some more toppings? I was so frustrated and wasted my time for nothing. I truly thought that it was so rude. I understand you close at 10 but I was in line for half an hour. Poor customer service. They need to do something about the long wait times and running out of food is not a good way to run a restaurant. Disappointed with this chipotle location.

  • Xena T.

After running a lot of errands with my friend, we decided to come to here because we were craving a bowl! Came in and it wasn't so busy. Customer service did not compare to other chipotle restaurants I've been to because this place's service was horrible. My friend got her bowl correctly and I didn't because I did not receive the extra lettuce I asked for but I was fine with that because I just wanted to eat. We got our drinks and sat down to eat. Before I was about to dig in, I saw something small and black in my food. I thought it was shedding from my beans, but then I took a closer look and it was a dead ant/fly. IT WAS SO DISGUSTING. I told my friend and she looked at hers too and she saw something black under a lettuce, lifted it and something crawled out.. IT WAS A DAMN SMALL FLY THAT WAS ALIVE. The thing is that we were inside where there were no flies at all!!! I believe that their lettuce was contaminated.. Immediately, we went to tell a crew member and she told the manager, and my friend and I believe she didn't handle it so well. She said she would remake our bowls, but we were so shocked and disgusted that we wanted a refund instead. I got my refund correctly through card while my friend was short of $2. She did not say anything because she just wanted to leave the store. Being Chipotle, I would expect good management, but no I guess not! I felt extremely sorry for the customers that ordered before us and the upcoming customers. I will never be coming to this location ever again and I will be skeptical of every bite I take from Chipotle. Really wish it wasn't mandatory to give a star to reviews.

  • Kaelin N.

I love Chipotle, but this store left me disappointed. I came in on a Friday afternoon at 2:30pm where only a few customers were in line. It took 10 minutes to get my burrito bowl together, but it's not only that....they gave me less than what a normal bowl should have. I didn't have a full scoop of rice or meat and when I asked for extra corn, I had to emphasize "extra" twice for the worker to comprehend that I wanted more than a single scoop. After I paid for my order, the worker left. I stood there for 5 minutes waiting so I could buy a drink. I've NEVER finished a burrito bowl before, but they gave me so little I was able to....and I wasn't full at the end either. I paid full price for that stingy bowl. On normal circumstances, I could only finish half, and the other half would be saved for my next meal. It was the shittiest service I've ever experienced at a Chipotle. The only reason I'll ever go to this one again will be for convenience, and I better be desperately craving Chipotle to have to deal with such terrible service again.

9pm and they are out off chicken, fajita veggies and guacamole.. Seriously Chipotle?!? Do you realIze that's 50% of your menu??? The staff were rude and irritated when I asked for a new bowl when they suddenly produced chicken for the people in front of me. I'm a due hard Chipotle patron... As in... 3 to 5 time a week due to work travel. This location sucks.. Corporate peeps where are you?? Your store needs help!

I have noticed that the items such as mild salsa and lettuce don't particularly look fresh. While I've never really had too much of a problem with the taste of the food at this chipotle the wait time is typically far longer then a typical experience at chipotle. I'm used to walking into chipotle, seeing a longer line and still expecting to get served fairly quickly, I've learned to never expect that at this one. I'd suggest ordering online if you want fast service.

I had to finally leave a review after my last few disappointing experiences here. Chipotle has always served bland "mexican" food but it's gotten so much worse with an abundance of white rice and so little meat. The last few times, I felt like I was eating a white rice wrap. If I have to go there, I'll stick to the salad because I can add dressing to give it some semblance of flavor. I'm not exactly sure what's happened with this chain. It was decent a year ago but all my experiences in the last year have been disappointing. Burritos always full of flavorless rice and poorly distributed so that you get two bites of rice burrito for every bite with meat. I'd rather find a real mexican taqueria where the rice and beans actually contribute some flavor. A burrito here will run you between $7-$8 and adding guacamole tacks on a ridiculous $2 more. Most taquerias serve a larger super burrito with guacamole for $7. I'm paying more for less flavor? And taquerias usually provide free chips and salsa (here you pay for a very small bag). I'm still in search of an outstanding super burrito in Fremont. Fortunately, I have one in Oakland near work.

The service here is ridiculous. Again, only 2 people working the line with like 20 people waiting. When will they learn that they need more workers during lunch hours?

Best chipotle in Fremont. Cleaner & staff members are way nicer compared to the one on automall. Portions are always the right amount and they aren't super stingy when you ask for anything extra.

Of course I love to eat the Cheepotlay - sometimes I call it Chipotull - saying it wrong and eating there makes me happy. The problem is - I don't know if I ever don't feel like going to Chipotle. I _think_ that could be a problem. Sometimes the line is too long but it goes fast so just chill! Look at all the happy people eating their yummy food or just meditate. My only complaint is the service - it's not horrible and it's so fast, I barely care. But come on people, smile every once in a while! You are serving delicious, healthy food to people! Maybe the employees need to eat more chipotull... My go to order - Salad bowl - I still get it with some brown rice - and ask for grilled veggies and chicken. Oh and all the salsas including corn.

These guys deserve big round of an applause ! It always crowded . I always have Atleast 10 People in front of me and they have never run out of anything (including weekends) constant cleaning and well maintained . The only thing that really annoys me that they take forever to clean up the tables . Also keep refilling the fork/spoons everyone one hour please.

I've never been to a Chipotle before tonight. I had the impression that all they had was burritos and I've never been a big fan of those (past experiences with food trucks and way too much rice). Still, I kept seeing this Chipotle and finally decided to check their website. Turns out they also have tacos, soft or crisp, and that piqued my interest. Wanting to check out as many different things as possible, I had three different crisp tacos: steak, chicken, and carnitas. The steak actually tasted like steak, but it was tough and there was too much gristle. The chicken was good but unevenly seasoned. The carnitas, however, was the star! Excellent taste, definitely marinated, as tender as it should be. The carnitas is why Chipotle gets a decent rating. It's kind of a rip that they charge an extra $1.95 for guacamole as a topping (very small amount, too) but it was fairly decent guacamole (not wonderful but acceptable). They're also incredibly chintzy and uneven with the amount of meat they're putting in the tacos. I noticed that one of the three tacos had half as much meat as the other two and asked them to fix that. They did - but they weren't happy about doing it. Damn it, it's embarrassing to have to bring that to their attention and it's even worse when they act like it's my fault that they can't see something so obvious. They do seem to be constantly busy but that doesn't justify an attitude of "don't bother me." One plus: they actually have Negra Modelo beer (bottles), my favorite. I didn't expect that in a fast food chain. I'll be back for the carnitas tacos (and probably a Negra Modelo).

This is the worse place ever. You gotta wait a long time. They are very rude. I was on my lunch break and this bitch told me to wait one minute and took 10 minutes completing a long ass order delaying not only my order but the long ass line behind me. They made me late for work. There was this Mexican girl and she was so slow and very rude. She kept on saying 1 minute but took hella long. Don't ever come here.

I go to chipotle restaurants all the time; mostly because I try to eat as organic as possible and when I run out of my own food when on a trip I have to eat something even if veggie. This by far the worst chipotle I have ever been to. There is no responsibility from either management or employees and to top it off the employees who had finished their shift were inappropriately hollering at some teenagers leaving Pete's Coffee Shop. The person charging was not competent of deciding the priority of her responsibilities; she rather put ice in the machine which wasn't empty than charge the 20 people in line waiting for her.

Always my favorite Mexican fast food but lately at this specific location customer service gets one star. Cleanliness zero stars. The trash cans are overflowing, unswept floors, unclean tables... Please, all I ask is for the quality I deserve for the money I'm paying for fast food.

  • Cristina L.

Its my favorite Chipotle, their food is always freshly made unlike other Chipotles i have tried and they are genereous on making your food on portions. Not skimpy at all and if you want more they do it with pleasure and not with an annoyed face like other Chipotles. This location is always busy, be prepare to stay in a long or short line, depend on the time you come.

Ok I love Chipotle, this review is for the experience one has when patronizing this particular franchise. Slow and miserable. The staff seems completely checked out and the line is always long. There are always a lot of employees but none of them seem to be working together. Although there does seem to be a lot of action going on in the back room... It makes me miss the Chipotle in Cupertino. Maybe the staff should train there.

FREAKING SUCKS. if it wasn't for the brand chipotle and the food i wouldn't even had came here for the nth time. How unfortunate that this is my closest chipotle to work. The lines always long and it isn't because of the demand its cause of the cashier ALWAYS. It takes about 3 minute each person to get rung up either because their discussing some work related issue or they are chatterig around with each other. They couldn't even get my order accurately with all their sode talking.

I visited this Chipotle on Sat afternoon & there was a line . Generally the line in chipotle goes fast but here it moved very slowly . I feel the service was very slow here and some of the tables are not cleaned.

I have never been to a chipotle with such slow working employees!!! There are plenty of them but they all are moving so slow! I know it's the end of their night but my gawd!!!

This place is AWESOME and the staff is very friendly. My favorite Chipotle in the Whole World :) They even came over and asked how our food was. Told him how much I enjoyed visiting the fremont location and how awesome it was. Loveeee this place.

Not sure why I keep going back here. Line is crazy and the workers don't care. They work very slow. Line is now out the door as I type this. Wish I could give it one star. I will drive to automall from now on

Service is super slow, workers take their sweet time to serve each customer. Workers are not well trained. Always long line here!!!!!

Their veggie burrito bowls are awesome. They always have fresh ingrediants.

If you come here between 5 and 9pm be sure to bring a book to read while you are on line. A long one. When I got there the line was actually short, less than 10 people to the counter where you actually start to order food. It took more than 15 minutes to reach the counter.Once there I saw the problem - they are dealing with orders coming in over the web. After the person in front of me ordered the guy behind the counter started dealing with a large online order. That was how it was going: they would alternate between web orders & in person orders and so on Several minutes later I was able to place my order. After that it was a good five minute wait to get to the point where I could pay. I spent close to half an hour in there just to get a single burrito for takeout. It would be faster if I just went home and cooked for myself. Seriously. I pity the people who work there. They all looked extremely unhappy and depressed. Next time I'll skip it and head to one of the many privately owned (and good) taquerias in the area.

  • Patricia R.

Nah not my favorite. Maybe I need to give it a second chance. As for now I won't be going back any time soon the food was a bit dry and they forgot my rice and beans. No chips only salsa. I rather go to Baja fresh or La Salsa. Peace Chipotle.

The food is same in every chipotle grill. This place have fresh food. Ambience is also good. It's a pretty busy place and people often leave the tables very nasty and bins are full. When I went, I chose for plate.it is good in burrito too. The price is average, and the service is fast. These guys need more staff when it's busy.

Great service, my favorite chipotle to go to. Always gets my orders right and never a hassle when I visit. Location is very close to my business and even tho they are always busy they get the job done in a timely fashion. Will be a loyal customer until they go out of business which is highly unlikely.

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience here today. Both with the service and the food. I've been to other Chipotle's in the area and in the Fresno/Clovis area and have never been so unsatisfied. The food was not fresh, the employees were not friendly and for the price I expect my food to at least be warm. I had a Steak Burrito bowl with brown rice, black beans, mild salsa, sour cream and cheese and chips/guac. The meat had a lot of fatty/tendon-like pieces, the meat and everything else was cold. The portions were small. The rebellious pink-haired employee along with the other employees left me feeling used and like an inconvenience. My last few visits to Chipotle have left a bad taste in my mouth both literally and figuratively. I'm adding Chipotle to my list of "Do not eat due to constant lack of service and satisfaction" chains.

Longest lines I have ever seen at chipotle and they are long all.the.time regardless of the hour. I have never waited less than 20 minutes and the line frequently runs the whole several feet beyond the entrance, making it impossible to get inside. The management needs to organize better because there are only a few people working the counter and some of them are leaning against the wall making chit chat with people actually doing their jobs. Several times they have run out of beans or sofritas or brown rice, which means they are not planning things out enough. The best way to get food here is to order and pay online, do something else for 30 minutes, then go directly to the register and pick up your food.

Cashier was not friendly at all!! Thanx for ur smart comment!! It was not that busy so there was no reason why my takeout should of taken 20 minuets!!!

Mooo, moooo, snort. This place is a straight up feeding lot. Line usually out the door during peak times and people endure it. To their credit, the line does move in an efficient manner, but still mooo, mooo. Got a burrito bowl once to avoid the extra carbs of a flour tortilla and it was literal slop onto a recycled paper bowl. It looked like shit but I saw everybody else grubbing like it came from the heavens, so I proceeded to join the feeding lot. Wow, not bad. The grilled steak is actually not bad and I've even been back to form the same opinion about their grilled chicken. The draw is the customization and I can get my high protein, low carb, high fiber, moderate fat, moderate heat meal in one unappealing shot in a bowl. Moooo, A-OK

    (3)
  • Manuel S.

The food is great but you dont really get what you pay for they give you such little food and i tend to always have to ask for extra white rice and chicken, and with the guacamole they give you so little for so extra money! The lines are huge but cant blame them for that!

I haven't been to this location in a long time and it's gone downhill. The servers are slow at preparing your food. The items are basically empty in each section. It was messy. There was a . Piece of crumpled paper in the lemons and trash around the utensil area. Seemed like no one gave a crap there. Booo!

I always go to this chipotle but I'm gonna write a review about my most recent experience here. I was there today, January 11th at around the 3 o'clock hour for my lunch break. When I came in, there was barely a line with just a few people ahead of me. I was in line for probably a half hour. There were two different people in line who both had huge orders. What was originally a small line ended going all the way across the store. Obviously the blame for the line being held up was to the lousy customers with the huge, complicating orders, however I suggest possibly implementing a second register since this is where the line was held up the longest. With all of this I have to give the crew much praise. I have worked in customer service before and whenever I had customers like this, my attitude would become sour. But with this crew they stayed calm and kept their cool through the rush. They were very nice to me and even though the people ahead of me gave them a hard time with the orders, they kept their smiles. They had plenty of people on hand but with obviously with the line being held up it would be inefficient if they were to help the line. I'm glad they used this time wisely though as they stocked up on all the ingredients and cleaned all the tables. Long story short, I would give their service and food 5 stars. Like I said before, adding a second register would come in handy in situations like this so that's something for this establishment to think about. Overall this is still my favorite place to go during my lunch breaks and would obviously come back again, since Chipotle is life.

I am big fan of chipotle. Their online ordering is really bad for Mowry Fremont CA location. Every time they show me pickup time as 2 hrs from ordering time. Who can wait for 2 hours to pickup food? They need to hire more and accommodate customer needs.

I love chipotle, I could actually probably eat it everyday. This is the one I usually go to simply because it is right around the corner from me. But this one just sucks. The chicken is always always always undercooked and fatty, the workers are rude and unfriendly and work as if there isn't a million people in line. I just hate my chicken medium-rare.

    (1)
  • Calvin L.

Chipotle is against guns so I don't eat their anymore their are other ways people can kill. Bring your knife in chipotle. Can't ban that !!! 3 people recently got stabbed to death by Elliot rodger Their also expensive last time I ate their the charge $12 for a bowl , drink, chips

Don't get me wrong I love chipotle! But this location I hate! I always try to avoid coming here because the girls that work in the front are so moody! Maybe every time I come there they are on their monthly cycle or something but they seem too obnoxious. I hate girls with attitude problems. Don't bring your drama to work!

The first time I've been here was back in 2007. My review is definitely way over due. I came here with my one year old son (at that time) and had ordered a chicken bowl. Before I even had a chance to say "for here", the cashier asked if it was for to go. I was a little put off by that since I saw him stare at my son, as if he was going to cause trouble. While I was carrying my tray and my son (He's just started to learn how to walk so I had to carry him.), none of the employees offered to help me. They just kept staring. The whole meal was very unpleasant and I vow never to come back.

3 stars I usually like Chipotle. This place is a little bit not off to my speed. They seem a little bit disorganized.. Otherwise I usually love Chipotle. I ordered a Park bowl and a steak burrito. They are made fairly okay my burrito was not wrapped well. What I could always Bank on with chipotle as they get the flavors spot on. The dining area and needed to be cleaned. Come on people please clean up my local Chipotle.

I do love chipotle and it's food, but I feel as if this place kind of cheapens it's portion sizes some days. I'll occasionally get my burrito bowl super full and not being able to put the lid on, but most days, its as if I'm only getting 75% of what I should be. ALSO I tend to find a lot of leaves of some sort in my food, multiple times! I tend to feel as if parking is also hard to find here as well. I recommend the chipotle at AUTO MALL, as they stuff your bowl plus the line isn't as long!

  • David H.

Ok, so I like the concept, you know "fresh Mex", and I've even had an ok burrito here, but with all the taquerias to choose from in this town why would anyone eat here? Of course because it's corporate and safe and sanitized and hip beyond belief. BUT the food is relatively bland (even when it's spicy which takes some doing) and sometimes it can be downright awful... for example (and take this to heart) never eat here if there is a long line, which there often is... Why? Because you will end up with a less than warm dinner (practically icy) that is fairly boring. So if you want "safe Mex"this is probably the place for you, otherwise I recommend finding a taco truck that is still open (there is a great one in Niles open only 10-6 Tues-Sun), or even taking a chance on La Pinata (which honestly can be uneven... see my reviews) which is right around the corner. Oh, and I will say I do like the chips here... nice and warm with a splash of lime... about the best thing this place has going for it...

Surprisingly, this Chipotle was pretty empty during lunch hour on a Saturday! When I used to frequent this Chipotle, it always had a super long line. No complaints here though ;) Was out in 5 minutes! They now offer green peppers??? Not sure if it's just this location or all Chipotle restaurants since I was just at Chipotle last month in the Davis location and they didn't offer green peppers -- Anyway, I tried it and the flavors of the green peppers were too overwhelming for my burrito bowl, so I probably will skip it next time. If you like green peppers, and you feel like you want an extra kick to your burrito/bowl then give the peppers a try! I feel like 90% of the time I get Chipotle, my burrito or burrito bowl is cold or at best lukewarm. It's already delicious even when cold/lukewarm... Imagine how amazing it would taste if it was warm.. :9 Portion sizes huge as usual, which is good because this is one of the things I love about Chipotle. The employees were kinda chatty though... My bf and I had to pause every other sentence when ordering, for them to finish THEIR sentence.. Oh well..

I give them one star for existing. They have terrible costumer service. I got a rice and bean plate with lettuce and salsa and they charged me more than $7 for a regular veggie plate...usually they charge me just the rice and bean plate price. When I mentioned this they just said it's 4 items and it's full price. (Unmm which they don't mention on the menu I might add. There's no way for a customer to know that's how they charge people.) This was after they made me wait for a small handful of lettuce btw. Best part about it was they weren't even busy (I wonder why). I wanted to just give it back to them and say refund the $7.50, but I did use to work in food service and know that's shitty. They should do something about being nicer and more accommodating to customers.

Oh how I love your Sofritas, and custom made burrito bowls! It is DE-LICIOUS. Thanks for positive friendly service each time. Beer and wine are a nice touch also! I had to remove 1 star though, your LINE IS ALWAYS TOO LONG! Some days I've turned around and went right back to my car. Can management hire more employees to help speed things up? Take care!

  • Christine H.

Food is good as usual (got the chicken bowl). The service was "eh" (nothing exceptional) but I liked how the second lady in the assembly line gave me extra of everything (my bowl was practically overflowing). I liked this particular Chipotle because of the plaza it's in (so many other stores surrounding it-including a frozen yogurt place).

    (4)
  • Jessie R.

Went in here today for the first time... It was not the best, i got a chicken burrito with beans, white rice, salsa, pico de gallo, sour cream, and lettuce. I expected the food to be warmer and not too cold. The burrito was medium sized but it was FAT. It was an okay burrito. My co worker got a bowl, she didn't really like it either. I got chips and some were so nice and crispy and towards the middle they started getting stale and the bottom ones were just plain stale, i couldn't even finish them :( I probably won't come back to chipotle.. Probably just stick with Panera or a Taqueria for REAL authentic Mexican food. Good Bye Chipotle!

I don't care what South Park says- I'm going to eat at Chipotle! I used to think it was the best thing out there. While I've discovered new restaurants, Chipotle is still something I crave for from time to time. I haven't been to a Chipotle in a while and discovered that they now serve brown rice. I always get the Burrito Bowl with cilantro-lime rice, romaine lettuce, no beans, chicken, fresh tomato salsa and roasted chili-corn salsa, sour cream and extra cheese. For some reason, it didn't taste as good as I remembered it... I was a little disappointed. They lose a star for the dirty tables and floors/ bathroom and the ice machine was broken.

Back again because my mother asked me to pick her up some and it's the closes location to me. 8ppl in line, 6 ppl behind the counter and I've already waited 35mins. Sllllllooooooooooooowwwww is an understatement!

    (1)
  • Neelesh S.

While the food is similar to what they have in most other Chipotle outlets, by far, this one has the slowest crew I've ever seen. It took 7 people behind the counter more than 30 minutes to help about 10 customers in front me and a few other orders. Go here if you have all the time in the world to stand in a line. In contrast, the one in San Mateo on Chess Drive are the fastest and with smiling faces. I have never waited for more than 12 minutes (yes, I time it every time) with at least 25 people in front me.

    (1)

Huge line and the cashier was VERY RUDE, and kept talking about the customers in Spanish as if no one else understood. The food can be replicated anywhere from other Chipotles, even the one off Automall. I won't be returning on account of the long line, being rushed when I actually got to order, and once I was asked to pay the cashier complained about doing her job. If she doesn't want to work, simply dont work instead of taking it out on the customers.

    (1)
  • Denise L.

A-OK indeed. Your standard Chipotle, complete with good quality food, a long line during the munchies rush, and AC blasting. This one is different though because often the first server (the tortilla master) at this location clearly does not want to be there. I don't know about you, but I like going to Chipotle and being greeted by a joyous tortilla master. This one has a snappy tone, like you're bothering her, when really you would just like a warm tortilla with some beans and meat, and maybe some veggies. It's not the best way to start the ordering process, especially when you've been standing in a REALLY long line. :( TIP: If you come during rush time, you may be standing in line for awhile... so bring comfy shoes!

Late post but well deserved. I recently used Chipotle to cater my daughters Bridal Shower. Very simple and such a smooth operation. Calling the 800 number was simple and the operator was helpful and answered all my questions. I called a week ahead but could have called even 48 hours ahead. I chose my local Chipotle for a schedule pickup on a Sunday at noon. Of course the place was busy but people you don't ever have to wait in line if you call ahead. That being said I went straight up to the cashier and my order was ready. Never directly talking to the local restaurant I was a little nervous but to my delight nothing to worry about. Sara had my order ready and then some. She was very friendly and even helped me bring the order to my car. Can't say enough about Chipotle! Like the little boy says in a video "I love Chipotle - Chipotle is my life!

Chipotle is like the refined Warby Parker glasses-wearing, Coachella veteran, older hipster sibling of drab taco chains like El Pollo Loco or Taco Bell. They totally cross their legs in a Don Draper like manner whilst critiquing, sitting on an Eames chair saying things like, "Dude what's the deal with your salsa PACKETS? Better to have fresh salsa, guac, and sour creme." (not CREAM) or "It's like, 2013 bro, where's your offering of brown rice?" I mean you can sit there and chuckle all day about the sibling rivalry, but in the end you kind of just realize those Warby Parker glasses are around $90 a pop, and the Coachella tickets $349/ea (for the most basic of passes) -- and well, you're kind of the parent that pays for these expenses. Yeah you look nice, you smell good, and most times you also taste good enough to ignore the dash of snooty attitudes reflected by your employees Chipotle, what with the fresh guac and creme and brown rice offering.. but I'd rather keep that extra loot for my own pair of glasses and/or Coachella tix.. $9 for a burrito, no dice!!

I am writing this form the loo; do not got here the food is raw and disgusting I though this place would improve but horrible employees and even worse food is something you should avoid; if you cherish your stomach well being than say away from here the food is horrid, it is better to just eat garbage than eat the food prepared at this chipotle, do your self a favor and if you want a good tasting burrito bowl go to the chipotle I'm AutoMall Parkway.

I was nice last time, but I've gone here 3 times now and have always left somewhat unsatisfied. I had lunch here with my family on Saturday (my son Joshua even had some food- he's only 15 months old). More employees were around this time, and so the line moved rather quickly. Still, with so many employees working together, communication can be an issue (I'm referring to how messages break down when they're passed on from person to person). Only 2 of my 4 tacos had cheese, and the cashier was a little confused as to what to ring up. As a result, our receipt is a bit confusing (still, I'm positive that the price I give for my food is correct). On the plus side, everyone worked hard (one of the guys who served me even seemed concerned if I was ordering enough), including the manager who was around. Joshua rocked out to this one song. It was really cute. Overall, though, I liked the songs that were playing inside last time more. In addition, the music was really blaring. My wife even complained about it. Surprisingly, Joshua turned down some cheese, a pinto bean, and a piece of tortilla. As I thought, though, the salsa chips were a different story. I fed him a few, and he was quite happy. Note: All prices include tax. Small Soda: $1.74. Large Soda: $2.07. Like last time, I had Pibb Xtra. My wife had Barq's Root Beer. Chips ($1.36): 8.5/10. I ate most of the salsa chips (the bags contain a fair amount). They were kind of salty, but very good. Chicken Bowl ($6.81): 9/10. My wife always orders one now. As I stated last time, the bowls are somewhat big, and you receive a nice amount of food. Carnitas Tacos (4 for $7.85): 8/10. I was pleased with what I was charged (I didn't have any beans or rice- I probably would have been charged over $9 otherwise). I only paid $.56 less last time for 3 tacos. I also received more carnitas this time (I was basically ripped off last time). I still wish that the cheese was melted. What made it worse is that my carnitas and tortillas could have been hotter. I know that Chipotle is known for this, but my carnitas didn't taste like they were coated with LIME last time. They were totally lean, but how they tasted just didn't bowl me over. This time, I left pretty full. In general, though, the food here just doesn't excite me. It's different, and different isn't always better. youtube.com/watch?v=t_RJ…

I been to Chipotle many times when it first opened up and it was unique but being vegetarian, I didn't like the fact they didn't have refried beans or pinto beans. ( The pinto beans they have has bacon). Recently, after a long time, I went to Chipotle and to my surprise on the menu, they had the sofrita-basically braised tofu with poblano peppers and spices. I got the sofrita topping in my vegetarian burrito and it was awesome! The tofu elevated the burrito's taste 20x. Also, love the portion size of chipotle.Burrito is so big can feed like 2 people! Only con is the line at this Chipotle line is longer than the great wall of china especially during lunch hour and on the weekends. I will definitely be back here when I'm mood for a burrito!

I LOVE chipotle! This location is fairly big in size compared to most chipotle's that I have been to. My go to ingredients: barbacoa burrito bowl, black beans, fresh salsa, lettuce, and corn. That's it! It cuts out all the fat and unhealthy stuff. Oh and if you do get a burrito bowl, you get the tortilla as well, so make sure you ask for it. This is not authentic Mexican food but it is really good grub.

Mmm.. Chipotle! I can't tell you how many times I've been here. It's not near my house (there's another Chipotle near my house), but I frequent this place moreso than the other locations. Why, you ask? It's next to the BART station! Cheap, fast, awesome food. I don't really see the need to order online, service is always fast! The workers are nice and this is one of the few Chipotles that don't go easy on your toppings. If I ask for extra beans at another location, they'll give me 1.5 spoonfuls, this place will give me two big spoonfuls (: They're also generous when it comes to guacamole! Mmm! Barbacoa rocks!! This place is also cheaper than some of the other locations, which I found to be weird because I thought it was a chain..

  • Wil G.

Fremont is one of my hangouts and what can I say about Chipotle in Fremont, it's located in a pretty decent shopping center along Mowry near the Bart Station and the hospital. The place is fairly clean and the staff is friendly. I do love the fresh tasting burritos and good cold beers, I like that the food is from good sources kinda like whole foods but a burrito shop, I love to support local burrito shops however for a chain this is definitely at the top of the list. &(S&% Taco Bell, come over here and get some decent "Mexican" food.

BEST CHIPOTLE EVER. Best costumer service. The staff was getting yelled at by a rude, rude costumer. Yet they managed to keep it together AND treat me so nicely!

Chicken bowl-tastiest way to lose weight while eating well! Their hard tacos are good too but not particularly filling. The shells as thin which give it a delicate crunch but easy them there or they will get soggy on the car ride home.

I love Chipotle and this location never disappointments me. It's close by to my work so we come here frequently. They're usually PACKED during lunch time (12pm) so if you go a little early, like 11:30am or after the lunch rush 1:00pm, there isn't that long of a wait. There's always tons of medical staff there since Washington Hospital, Kaiser, PAMF, and Tri-City Health Center are all a few blocks away from this location. I usually always get the Chicken Fajita burrito and they don't skimp on ingredients like other locations. They're pretty fast and service is nice. I really have no complaints about this Chipotle, but my best recommendation is to not go during noontime.

This place used to be way better when it first opened. I don't know what happened but all the employees are so rude. I hardly get anything at this chipotle. I get about half the scoop of steak when I order and if I ask for extra (To make it a normal scoop) They charge me. Don't understand why they have to be so stingy. The chipotle on auto mall is WAY better. Much friendlier employees at auto mall and they actually Give you your money's worth of food. I can't believe how little I get for eight dollars. Not going to come here again. I hope management actually reads these reviews so something can be done. GO TO AUTO MALL CHIPOTLE IF YOU WANT YOUR MONEY'S WORTH!

  • Joon Y.

What isn't there to love about Chipotles. I mean, it's fake Mexican food but so what? It's so damn delicious. Generally, I'll come here to eat something after a workout. Steak quesadilla, and a chicken bowl (with vegetables, pico, corn, light on the lettuce, and green Tabasco sauce) YUM. Only downside, service can be down right slow. Especially during lunch, and particularly at dinner hours. So I try to avoid this place around that time like poison

I'm a big fan of Chipotle, while most do not consider them "authentic," I could careless. I love their burrito!!! This location however, is very inconsistent- you can tell the newbies by the way they wrap your burrito or prep your food. The services gets very slow and there seems to be a huge mis-communication. Reason why I would go here is they're right down the street from my house, otherwise I'd go out of my way and go to the one on Automall Parkway instead.

Not the cleanest one of them all... Long lines... But the burrito tasted good! They weren't able to roll mine so they just dumped it in a bowl and gave it to me. Is it me or does Chipotle undercook their rice a little bit? Al dente, I think should mean fully cooked but not mushy -but at Chipotle, I still can taste the rawness of their brown rice. White rice is perfect!

My favorite Chipotle. It's a local Chipotle, so I always come here and they always provide me with a filling burrito/burrito bowl. This location is always willing to give you extra ingredients - I always ask for extra rice, extra corn, and extra tomatoes, and they're not stingy about their portions. They always fill my burrito and bowl to the max. The staff here are also very accommodating. I will continue to come back to this Chipotle for my burritos!

This is a good Chipotle location in Fremont (I had the Automall one before and was not impressed by the taste/quality). This location is friendlier and the food just tastes better. Only problem is...the lines here tend to be very long. Usually during peak meal hours (but then again I came here today around 1:15 and waited about 15-20 min). Just be prepared to wait or call in advance if you're in a rush. Also offers outside dining areas (nice to sit out and eat on a sunny day). I still enjoy getting the chicken burrito, especially with brown rice. Love that smokey flavor from the chicken also and the mild salsa. Would return for more burrito runs.

We visited it for dinner. Service differs from other Chipotle outlets. Service was slow, doesn't matter. They don't have courtesy to wish you, your choice!!!!! We had to ask them for Tabasco bottle as it was not at the place where they usually keep it, that's also fine. What I really didn't like the fact that while we were having dinner they asked their Tabasco bottle back. This I have never ever experienced before. Interrupting guests for such reason is certainly not acceptable.

Kept an entire line waiting because there was an online order. Customers at the store were told that online orders have preference. Really?

Love the fact that I can grab a satisfying lunch and FAST here. It's generally crowded during lunch hours but the line moves quickly. You'll get your lunch and be on your way in no time. My typical order consist of the chicken fajita salad bowl. I top it with corn, salsa and a lil bit of sour cream. They give you salad dressing on the side which you can do without. The dressing is major hidden calories anyway. The meat and salsa are perfectly seasoned already to give you that kick taste! Nom Nom Nom.

My name is E, I have a Chipotle habit! Once a week, at least! The food is fresh, well-prepared and the portions are generous! The line could be 10-15 people deep, no worries! They are fast! I'm soooo hooked on the chicken burritos, I haven't tried anything else 'cus it's so good! The corn salsa is great, I love the cilantro rice, and the "hot" salsa has just the right amount of heat & flavor. I've been to 2 Chipotles in Freakmont & 2 in Bezerkly, the quality is always there! One of these days ... I'll try the other offerings!

I've been here on a few occasions. During the lunch hour, expect there to be a line. With many employees, it tends to go pretty fast. On my last visit, there were only three people ahead of me. The time was noon and I was a bit confused. I double checked the time on my phone to make sure I wasn't halucinating. The time was a little after noon. I glanced up and saw an assembly line. Basically there was a staff member to handle on task each. When I got up to the front of the line, a friendly server greeted me with a smile. She prepared my bowl by giving me rice and beans. Then it was off to the next individual who poured in the steak. After that came the salsa. With my allergies, I was unable to get sour cream or cheese, so my bowl was pretty simple. Toppings consisted of only corn and lettuce. While approaching the cash register, the employee packed up everything in the bag and practically tossed it at me. Then she was like okay bye. At this point, I hadn't paid yet and found that to be a bit rude. Also I had asked about my cup for my drink since only the bag was handed to me. I had inquired about that and it happened to be on the inside. When the cashier explained that to me, she said it in a sarcastic tone as if I should have known. A few unfriendly staff members won't deter me from returning. However, the next time I come back, I won't be expecting any great service.

Just like every other Chipotle. No "wow" factor. Here is a warning though, between 12-2, parking is crazy. I had to park all the way by burger king to meet with some friends here. But besides that, everything is usually a breeze.

  • Harrison C.

Always love my Chipotle, and I've been to this site probably close to a hundred times now. I would give them 4 stars for just my normal individual order, only because most of the time I'm here, the line is so long it's like wrapped around the store. They are quick, and I've never had a problem in store with quality or them having what I want. The reason I gave them 3 stars though is because I've done several large group orders for fundraisers and they mess up around 20% of the orders every time! That's just really bad, and forces me and my team to apologize to everyone who bought burritos in our fundraiser. Parking is a bit challenging sometimes, but not impossible. There's several nice group booths, though it's hard for larger groups since the tables are not move-able except for the ones outside on the patio. Overall, it's like your average Chipotle, though probably a bit busier... The only one I've seen with a longer line is the one at UC Berkeley.

I'm gonna start off by saying, I generally enjoy Chipotle... although it seems like whichever location I go to, it's like all the employees have a chip on their shoulder. Lines during lunch are generally long, but the wait isn't too bad. My go-to is a burrito bowl, with white rice, black beans and chicken or barbacoa (depending on mood), with hot & mild salsa, cheese, sour cream & lettuce. Once in awhile, the barbacoa can be fatty & the chicken can be burnt. The food sometimes is cool & sometimes is warm/hot. All in all, the rude employees won't deter me from going to Chipotle. P.s. the parking here can suck.

I will never ever go back to this location, EVER! I was appalled when I went here the last time and found a BUG IN MY LETTUCE!... it was huge hoe can you miss it?! Also, the steak was still pretty bloody. I keep telling myself this was only a one time failure visit but it was enough for me to discontinue coming to this location,; they also happen to be stingy on their toppings. uggh. I'm still a hugggge ultimmmmate fan of Chipotle, but I will never be back at this location, which sucks because they knew my order before I even said what I wanted, thats what i loved about this location, was their customer service. Quick Tip: Always check your food for bugs when buying from this location!

I am not a big fan for the food. Not that it is nasty, I just struggle with authenticity. It is very fresh and to the point. I really really really like the staff. They are always very nice and follow up with you on big office lunch orders. BTW, parking SUCKS!!!!

Typical lazy & lousy employees at a fast food joint, sign of poor management. But if you like fast food burritos, these taste good. Just don't be ripped off by what you order, like extra chips, etc.

  • Mark M.

I love the food at Chipotle! Although the chicken is just okay, the carnitas and barbosas are awesome. The corn salsa is also super-flavorful. The price is also very reasonable - and you got to love the qualifty of ingredients you are getting. Only complaint about this location is that the line is always out the door at dinner time!

  • Kavita B.

I've been to a handful of Chipotle's all over California and this one has to be the most disappointing one I've been too. The staff was unfriendly, they barely fill your burrito bowl to the top and when you ask for more condiments it's like someone asked them for a favor. The location is quite dirty too. I'll stick to the Auto Mall location, though the staff seems unfriendly in general you still get what you paid for at that location.

  • VJ C.

Crowded during lunch. Yet, fast service. Love the fresh cilantro rice (so bad for you in terms of calories). Chicken cooked fresh almost every 20 minutes during rush hour. Heavily salted chips. All in all, a 800 cal + meal for lunch if you like... Go ahead and indulge !

We come here once a week. My husband orders the carnitas bowl:you get carniatas, rice, cheese. I order the same thing but with sour cream and a bag of chips. I went here for a quick lunch - and they are good for a quick lunch, I admit... And they're very affordable. So 5 out of 5 for that... But... I don't know... the place seems kind of sterile and reminds me of so many other generic burrito places that seemed to spring up in the 90s like weeds all over the nation. There was "That's A Wrap" that was in the Midwest, as well as a huge variety of other places that are so nearly identical to Chipotle as to be indistinguishable from it. Don't get me wrong... The food here is decent enough. You order in a sort of fast-food, cafeteria-style system, where you get whatever it is that you want on the spot. So for someone in a hurry, who doesn't want to go for McDonald's - this place at least offers healthier options and it's speedy! But beyond that, it's sort of drab - with its metal tables and the plastic baskets for your food that you worry are never cleaned, since they use these parchment paper inserts... The chairs are uncommonly uncomfortable, the tables radiate cold in the winter... It just lacks a certain charm. On the other hand - if I'm in the middle of running a bunch of errands and have at least enough time to stop to get something to eat - I'll choose Chipotle Mexican Grill over McDonald's or any other fast food joint...

I love Chipotle, don't get me wrong. Other locations score higher than this one. My experience here is very disappointing. The first time I came here was in the evening, they didn't have anything left. No corn, no cheese... So I thought they were gonna pack more chicken, but nope. They skimped on that. The chicken was dry and unfilling. So that was my dinner, the shittest Chipotle experience. I came here during the day and the chicken didn't taste as good as other locations. Even if I am nearby, I wouldn't have Chipotle... well, just this one. I rather eat in San Jose before coming to Fremont.

  • Raven B.

My favorite Chipotle ever!! They actually put a good amount of meat, etc. A lot of other chipotles I've gone to are stingy, but this place is great. The staff is polite, and they all do their job very well.

    (5)
  • Rajan M.

Best Chiptole in Fremont! The workers gave me very nice portions of meat (quite rare from my other chipotle endeavors), and threw in a bag of chips for free because I ordered in Spanish! I've always been a fan of the seemingly fresh and tasty burritos @ chipotle restaurants.

    (5)
  • Steven F.

I continue to go to Chipotle because it is walking distance from my office, they use fresh ingredients, and have generous portions. For six bucks, you get a burrito big enough to feed two adults. It's filling, but yet I don't feel like I have to roll out the door after I eat. The works are also very friendly.

YAY: close to Peet's coffee hormone free or free range meat options very filling salad/bowls variety of salsas staff are pretty efficient, generally nice can dine at outdoor tables BOO: flavors are just OK- way Americanized, but u knew that of course when u walked into a chain, right? No lengua to be seen here... way too much charge for a moderate blob of Advocado raw onions in salsa are impossible to pick out & u will have frightening breath the entire day. impersonal assembly line Overall it's not bad, but for the $$, there are more delicious, more Mexican places galore

  • Akanksha D.

Though I have no qualms regarding the taste, I am highly disappointed with the quantity they serve. Its too less compared to other chipotle franchise. Moreover the staff is slow and rude. Because of this though I stay just opposite to this Chipotle (Mowry Avenue) I travel to Union city or Auto Mall chipotle just to get good service.

I enjoy eating here and have been coming here since the days it opened. The fact that they have a decent offering for vegetarian folks draws me back here over and over again. The food is good and they work very quickly no matter how long the lines are.

I bring my son to this restaurant when he wants to go for some Mexican food because with his school ID card he gets a drink with his order. Usually, he will get a quesadilla and some chips. Drinks are self-serve and refillable - a great thing for a thirsty teenager. Prices are reasonable. This restaurant is located in a strip mall with a Walgreens sharing the same parking lot. Parking is plentyful and never a problem. I would come when in the area but would not make a special trip unless my son or nephew asked to come here. The taco trucks are closer to work, and provide good food!

I just really love Chipotle. There's nothing special about this one really, it's just like every other one, I just REALLY love Chipotle. I mean, their burritos aren't really the best I've ever had, but they're pretty darn close. I'm mostly a fan of the chipotle salsa & their rice. The option of getting a burrito bowl is pretty nice too.

  • Kasey L.

I love the food but this place can't seem to get a to-go order correct! I've ordered online on quite a few occasions, and it's been disastrous! Even after I called corporate, they still can't read and make an order correctly. To make matters worse, they made a vegetarian plate with meat. And since it was to go, it's wasn't convenient to go back since it was a lunch break. They also have doubled charged my account twice. When I asked to speak to a manager, they gave me a shift manager....NOT the same. Wouldn't recommend going to this particular Chipotle!!!

    (1)
  • Thuy N.

The people here are SO nice and efficient! No grumpy folks, no one being catty, everyone is SMILING and really listening to you as you order, while there are tons of folks waiting in line. Yes, it's clean...nothing sticky, everything is filled up and neat....man do I love Chipotle.....

I usually go to the Chipotle on Auto Mall parkway but I was closer to this one so I came here for lunch one day. I got my usual veggie burrito and as I was asking what to be put on the burrito the employee was very rude and was talking in a bad tone. I also got a quesadilla and asked how big it was and they showed me with there hands how big it was and I said ok ill get one. I come and pay (the quesadilla is still not ready) and pay I wait for a few minutes and the quesadilla comes and its not even half the size the employee said it would be and I asked the guy at the cash register and he just shrugged. I was ticked off about how they were rude and didn't care. I'm never coming to this chipotle again even if it is closer. Terrible Customer Service. The food was the same though.

This place brings back memories of college, except the one one in Davis seemed cheaper ( this was like # years ago), and stuffed more (maybe because I knew some folks that work there). But all in all not a bad place to grab your Not-so mexican burrito, my personal fav is the barbaracoa fajita burrito, if anyone wants to grab me one anytime of any day I am cool with it. Sure its overpriced, and its not authentic mexican food but sometimes I don't really want authentic mexican food and I can afford to pay for it now. But I am still pissed I don't get free soda like when I back in college.

We love Chipotle's burritos!!! We only go there once every two months (We actually count the days) - and each time it's a real treat. It is always consistently delicious! We eat slowly and savor each bite. (Warning - one burrito has at least 1200 calories!) That's why it tastes sooo good! And that's why it's a treat whenever we go there!

    (5)
  • Hamid N.

There is a guy there with the most mean look on his face, I always get a veggie burrito and he barley put any guacamole in it and that is what makes the taste since I don't get the meat. I asked for a little more and he got in an argument with me. Every time he's there I turn around and go to the Auto Mall location. He's a Hispanic that hates working there!! I cussed him out so 2 other customers got in a fight with him while I was there.

  • Joel M.

The burritos are still pretty good but I remember when my friends and I used to go here while we were in high school, they used to fill your burrito up with a hefty portion of meat, rice, beans and whatever else you requested. Now I stop by here every once in awhile and they are INCREDIBLY STINGY with their servings. The last time I was in there, I received a half spoon full of meat and the lady pushed my burrito down quickly to the next worker and proceeded to help the next customer. It was almost like she was embarrassed by how little she gave me but I guess that's how this place does things nowadays because when I asked the next girl for cheese the best she could do was give me a little over a pinch. The worst part is, I really can't fully enjoy a burrito without guacamole. You would think that guacamole is a standard ingredient in a burrito, not at Chipotle. You have to pay an extra 2 freaking dollars just for guacamole. By the time I received my burrito, it felt more like a taquito. I have the tendency to over-exaggerate but seriously, I've had burritos this big at Taco Bell for half the price. I will still stop by Chipotle from time to time because at the end of the day, they have quality ingredients and the food tastes good, there should just be more of it for the amount that you pay.

I'll have the fajita burrito. just a little rice, little pinto beans, steak, plenty of grilled bell peppers & onions. Oh yeah, the mild corn salsa please. I sat inside the restaurant and ate my burrito inside. It was nice and quite. Tables were clean and wiped down and there was a young lady employee that was sweeping here and there. My visit here was pleasant though the booths were not very comfortable for sitting in for too long since they are solid wood seat and back...not comfortable at all.

I see a lot of comments mention the portion size. I go here during lunch a lot and have seen the manager or supervisor get mad at the servers for serving too large of a portion for guest orders. One manager instructed the server to only do one scoop when she saw my bowl. The server only did one scoop and that's what she told the manager and the manager advised her to scoop less lol. I knew this place was cheap when I realized the manager doesnt believe in turning on the heat in the winter time. They blast the AC at 67 degrees when its 30-40 degrees out. This place is pitiful, dont waste ur time here!

I was re-introduced to Chipotle recently by my cousin... I went to one in La Jolla when they first started and it was "eh" at best. I must've missed something then, but now that I'm back, it is FANTASTIC. I've already gone at least 5 times in the past month. Being a pseudo health nut/gym rat, the burrito bol is an ideal post-workout meal after working out next door (see my other review) - as long as you don't get cheese and sour cream in your bol (the guac is okay, in moderation). I think it may be this one in particular, but the employees there are VERY generous with their servings. You can request more rice, more vegetables, and more black beans, and they will usually be more than happy to oblige. I've been to the one off Automall Pkwy, and they definitely don't throw it down like this one.

  • Marisa N.

What is Chipotle's selling point?? I'm not quite sure. Their menu is horrible. They have like 5 different things to choose from. I went with the Burrito Bowl. In a plate thing they put some white rice that has cilantro in it, black beans (or whole pinto beans), and then your choice of meat, choice of salsa, cheese, sour cream and then a little bit of lettuce. If you want guacamole it's $1.50 more?!?! That's outrageous. Anyways, i get my burrito bowl and am thoroughly not impressed. The chicken had no special flavor and the rice is gross. Salsa isn't special either. To top it off, unlike the other "fresh" type Mexican places, you have to ask them at the counter for salsa on the side. Annoying... I don't see why this chain is still in business....

I love chipotle. This place gets super bizz during lunch hours 12-1 bc of all the local hospitals. Bt they haven't dissapoited me yet! And omgee try their margaritas, yes their margaritas!! They're strong =]]

    (4)
  • Mari P.

Love their fresh food, best guac ever...its all tasty and they are generous with their portions. My favorite is the carnitas salad with all the toppings. The location for this one gets busy and is among other dining joints/stores so finding parking can be frustrating at times.

Wow is this the busiest Chipotle I've ever seen! No doubt that from Chipotle to Chipotle the taste doesn't really change but one thing that does is the way it's served and, even more importantly, how the person is who put it together. Granted, this place was REALLY busy when I went. A swarm of people from Washington Hospital plus all the localites... no wonder the staff looked burned out. However, I am a firm believe in good service no matter what... that's why you work in CUSTOMER service. I was getting barked at left and right about what I wanted in my burrito bowl. And to make matters worse, it was SO LOUD that I had to yell to be heard. Food is always still fantastic but the people ought to be a little bit more considerate.

  • David L.

All the basic ingredients are already pre-made and ready at the front counter, so you just have to decide what you want in your burrito/bol/tacos/salad and watch when your food is being made. Chicken burrito is $5.50 and the steak burrito is only slightly more at $5.95. I like that their chicken is grilled. The steak pieces are great tasting. A good size bag of chips and a side serving of guacamole costs$2.10. While not on the menu, you can order a quesadilla for $2.25. Bottom Line: It's a decent place to get Americanized Mexican food to go, but it also provides a nice, clean setting for dining-in as well.

The first Chipotle restaurant I've been to and still the best. I've been to several locations in SoCal and the Bay Area and this one is still the best. The food simply tastes better here.

I don't like Chipotle but I like this one. Why? Because it's right across the street from my work and it's the first restaurant/lunch establishment I can reach within the least minimal amount of steps (oh except crack-her-barrel..which I refuse to buy from). It's not real Mexican food..so I am not sure why they call it a "Mexican Grill"...it's sorta like Chinese food meets Panda Express..it's ok as it's own but if you were to compare it with the actual origin they are claiming it to be..it's not very comparable at all....actually it just makes me unsatisfied eating the food. But unfortunately, sometimes due to lack of better choices..I have been a patron to numerous Chipotle locations...and I would say..they are all the same..super salty meat..all added together with misc. things can equal a 1000 calorie meal..so not worth it. It's like no matter how many things is on the menu..they all consist of the same ingredients. Oh but a random fact..my friend once met someone at a bar that had quit her job and pursued her passion for the culinary arts and finished culinary school and now is a Salsa Chef at Chipotle Restaurant in a State I will remain nameless. I have many times tried to peak my head behind to scenes at this location to see which extraordinary chef is making my salsa..but was disappointed to see the guy wearing the black t-shirt chopping and mixing with no such passion of an expert chef. Maybe it's only select locations...but with that being said..please enjoy the salsa..as someone did have to go to school to learn to concoct the mild, medium and hot salsa served! Note: this place gets super packed during lunch and dinner time. The lines go by relatively fast and is pretty smooth..but it can be unappealing when you are on a limited time schedule.

Not your authentic Mexican food, but still something that will hit the spot. I like to stop by this restaurant a lot. They help frequently with fund-raisers and such, and have reasonable prices. At one point you could bring in your school ID and get a free drink, but they stopped that this month. One thing I like is that they'll make anything you want, as long as they have the ingredients. Prices tend to go by the kind of meat you want, so I like to order a quesadilla with a little bit of chicken now and then. I like their chips; they have a lemon-lime sort of hint to it, and their perfectly fine without salsa. One downside is that when there's a long line, they tend to give you less. I understand they want to be quick and serve everybody, but it doesn't help that my burrito is roughly 1/4 the size of the one I'll get if I go in when it's less crowded. Another is that they got rid of four tacos, and now give you only three. When I asked the guy working there why they did that he said it was the same thing, because the three tacos were bigger shells. Looked the same to me, though. Sometimes, at this location (and the one at Pacific Commons), I have gone in, ordered, and they say it's on the house. That completely makes my day. I suppose they do it now and then for good marketing, and I really like that. If they actually aren't supposed to do this...I hope the manager doesn't get mad, heh. But it definitely keeps me coming back!

Something that will fill your stomach up for hours! I've been a Chipotle fan ever since I first ate it when I was in LA. I would say they have one of the best burritos I've ever eaten. I usually go for Chicken Burrito, Double Rice, Black Beans, Regular Salsa, Hot Salsa, Corn Salsa, Sour Cream, Cheese, and Lettuce. I used to get Guacamole with it but it is just too expensive. I make my own guacamole at home to put on. The servings are pretty decent. If you are a big eater, you might need to ask them for extra scoops. I know they allow you to order on-line, but after couple of try, I found out that ordering on-line will actually get you less portions. The price is decent. I will recommend Chipotle!

I appreciate Chipotle, because they appreciate teachers! I went in for the first time when they were providing free burritos for teachers. Yay! I actually put my order through online. Good idea, because when I arrived the line was all the way wrapped in the building. I went up to the cashier on the other side, and asked where I should go. He said to hold on, he finished someone else's order, and grabbed mine. No charge, no hassle, I was out the door. I felt like a jerk as the line glared at me. As a teacher I get that often, so it didn't phase me. :) I kid, I kid. But seriously- great customer service, delicious food. :)

I remember when this Chipotle location first opened... I was ecstatic! Hands down CARNITAS are the best and especially in a burrito bowl with everything mixed together! When I don't feel like a poor kid, I empty out some more cash monies for the chips and guacamole which is also yum-tastic! I am so grateful that I live close :)

Coming from San Diego this is as close to a good burrito as it gets. Its expensive to me because a meal always seems to come to about $12-$13 and in SoCAL a burrito at a taco shop is around $4. The Staff is nuts and usually ALWAYS messing up my order! They are rushing to get to everyone which is why my burrito never comes out right. If your looking for great service at a chipotle go to the one by steven's creek!

Burritos your way? Amazing!!! They build your burrito right in front of you... being that I am a finicky eater - WIN! I didn't care too much for the steak because of the cut, but my husband RAVED about the pork. 2 burritos, 4 tacos and a "spicy meat" quesadilla (I forget what the choice of meat is called) came out to $35. Well worth it.

I never understood what the hype about Chipotle was, until 2 weeks ago. Tried it for the first time, and became hooked for five days straight. I have since begun my "Chipotle withdrawal." The food is ABSOLUTELY fantastic, staff is EXCELLENT, always a line here, but I NEVER have an issue with that. They move quick down the line anyways. (:

Picture this scene: Boy: "Maaaaaaaaaa! What's for dinner?" Mom: "Meatloaf." Boy: "Just meatloaf?" Mom: "Oh, you want CHOICES? Okay, FINE. Here are your choices: we've got meatloaf, meatloaf on bread, meatloaf on toast, or meatloaf on a bun. Let me know when you've made up your mind." The choice at Chipotle is like that. There are only five items on the menu (4, actually--the difference between "burrito" & "fajita burrito" is the addition of grilled peppers & onions), with the choice of only five fillings (2 of which are beef). So, mix and match to your, uh, heart's content. If indeed you are that unimaginative. The place is clean-looking--decor is alternating corrugated metal & burgundy. The serving style is best-called "get them all the hell out of here": It's like a buffet/cafeteria style, with your order being passed down the line as employees scoop out the premade fillings from the steam table onto your tortilla/salad/bowl. Such rote precision, I almost forgot this was food. The lack of choice extends to the beverage selection, where you will be once-again reminded this is no genuine taqueria. There is no horchata, no tamarindo--no aguas frescas at all; there is not even a Jarritos or Mexican-bottled Coke in sight! Just a regular fountain soda, 3 or 4 bottled beers, water, and some kind of bottled fruity-tea-y something. But then, if you were looking for a Mexican food experience, a real taqueria... well, let's be honest: you would have never clicked on this listing in the first place. So, what you are looking for is a faux-Mexican sub-casual chain eatery. Okay, maybe you've come to the right place! But--say what you want about the other faux-Mexican sub-casual chain eateries--Baja Fresh, La Salsa, Una Mas--I love the fact that they all have salsa bars--plenty of salsa, plenty of choices. At Chipotle, THERE IS NO SALSA BAR. Chips & salsa cost extra, AND for two people and a decent-sized bag of chips, they only gave us one little cup of salsa, only about half-full! And the fact is, my burrito was so bland, that's where most of my share of the salsa went. Your only other choice is to go grab a bottle of Tabasco, which I think ruins all other flavors with its unmistakable, uhm, essence. My veggie fajita burrito was in truth pretty tasty (though bland), but then I suddenly noticed a strong sweet flavor. I think they add sugar to their corn salsa! This must be part of the McDonald's influence. That was a surprise. So overall? I'd go 3/5 for basic flavor of food & efficiency, but the total lack of variety, and the vise-like hold on the (limited) salsa supply suck so much away from this chain's potential. Okay as a once-in-a-while, BYOS (oh, figure it out) kinda thing. The scary thing is, it may well be one of the best food choices available in this shopping center.

I don't know why, but I don't eat here that often. But everytime I do, I LOVE it!!! I took my boyfriend here for his first time a couple weeks ago, and he is now hooked. We have friends that eat here 4-5 times a week for lunch, and its easy to know why. I always get the burrito bowl with 1/2 a serving of rice (less carbs!). It is SOOO filling and refreshing. You feel like you're eating mexican type food without the really greasy and heavy feeling, which I love. less guilt! I usually get chicken, and everything else on top. I also usually get a side of guac and a bag of chips (I love chips and dip!). All chipotle locations always feel really clean and even when it's busy, they're really fast. I can't wait to go again, which will be soon since my BF has been bugging me for a week. Yummmmm!

If you have never been to chipotle and you are reading this let me suggest that you haul ass over there. For food that is prepped as fast that it is you cannot beat this place. Fresh. Good. Fresh. Good. Understood? Steak. Chicken. Rice. Beans. Tortilla. Salsa. Hungry? Good. Everything on the menu is good because they are all made with the same ingredients. A bit salty but salt wont kill you. If you really really really hate salt well I am sorry. I guess you will never get to experience food pleasure. PLEASURE.

Probably not my favorite Chipotle place. Their portions are soooo small. I always get the burrito bowl without beans and extra rice(yep, got to have my rice). Usually it would come on over flowing and I would end up taking it home as a second meal. Twice my burrito has came out barely touching the top and filled mostly with lettuce. The portion of the meat and rice is just insulting. I have been here a total of 3 times and I think the percentage is pretty bad. I will go back to the Newark Chipotle where I actually get my money's worth.

I went in just the other day, and like usual this place was kinda busy(def a good sign of good food!) then it got REALLY busy.. The staff was very fast, efficient, and friendly!! Get the barbacoa burrito bowl, and you will be satisfied! Oh with half carnitas!

During my senior year of high school, there were these two weeks when I ate here at least once every single day (I gained a solid 3 pounds). I guess I'm the kind of person who eats her favorite food until she gets fat or sick of it.. Anyways, like at any Chipotle, there is the usual selection of condiments to add onto your burrito, burrito bowl, salad bowl, tacos, or quesadilla. The workers here are relatively generous and if you ask for extras, they are quite willing to accommodate your request. My bowl is always overflowing.. hehe I like my extra corn and lettuce. Out of all the Chipotles I have been to in the Bay area, this one is my favorite!

If you are coming late at night for chicken, let me just tell you to NOT go to this chipotle. This is the 4th time that I tried to come here to get a chicken burrito and let me tell you they are ALWAYS AND I MEAN ALWAYS OUT!!! I don't think there is a time that I've been into this location where they are not out of chicken. Once the guy even told me to wait 15 minutes and I waited and as soon as it was my turn again to order, he ran out of chicken again. So basically I waited 15 minutes for nothing. Staff was not that friendly as well. I will not be coming back to this location. May I also add that during lunch time it is so hard to find parking just to eat here. Totally not worth coming to this one.

The first Chipotle I had ever been to. I use to come here so often during my senior year of high school that they knew who I was and what I ordered. I always got the crispy tacos. Back then they use to give you four tacos, now they only give you three. But I am pretty sure that is a chain-wide thing. (DIMS the Economy). The people are always nice. And it's a always clean. It's a good chain-not-a-chain place to grab fresh fast food.

First time I went there. Great location ! The workers were super friendly and fast. I was out of there in no time. The food was delicioso! I ordered the burrito bowl with rice, little bit of black beans, chicken, pico de gallo, some hot salsa, extra corn, sour cream, extra cheese and some guacamole on top ! I'm getting hungry writing this. Keep it up guys ! 5 stars!

Dude, I have eaten Mexican all over the State but this is the only place to charge me 'guacamole'. No, not extra Guacamole but the regular one (assuming all the fillings is included in the cost, because isn't that what a burrito is at other places). How much they charged me? $1.90 on a $6.70 buritto. That's a freaken expensive $9 burrito if you ask me. What next, charge extra for the salsa? Go to the Indian place across the street - for $6.99 you get four dishes, rice, naan and two entrees of your choice.

Typical Chipotle. Came here all the time during high school for a healthy salad for lunch. It is always busy during lunch hours and the line is usually out the door or wrapped around the restaurant. However the employees move fast and try their best to accommodate everyone as efficiently as they can. The food here is delicious, however I got an upset stomach the last time I was here. Maybe it was something in the Barbacoa cause I typically get chicken. Their burrito bowls are my absolute favorite, 1/2 serving of black beans, fajitas, chicken, all salsas, 1/2 serving of corn, & pile on the lettuce. Absolutely delicious!!!

Okay this place is getting a 5 out of 5 on the Chipotle scale not on the overall best place ever scale. This is one of the best chipotles consistently. I have gone to this one over 50 times and I am always happy. Other chipotles skimp on the meat sometime or have unfriendly employees but not this one. Can get busy during peak lunch or dinner hours but they work quick here.

It's great for satisfying a hungry appetite. If you like Mexican food, you probably won't mind that it's not really authentic because it's still quite tasty. You have a lot of options when you put your food together and it's fast service. I gave it four stars because sometimes the vegetables aren't grilled enough for me.

I've never been too big on Chipotle. It's just cleaner, Americanized Mexican food. And just to let you know, burritos are about as American as california rolls! Mexican people don't eat them....they eat tacos. Anyway, never been too big of a fan but my friends always rave about those "FRESH" and "HEALTHY" ingredients? Not to break your Chipotle-fan heart but get this, a chipotle burrito is 1150 fartin' calories. YIKESS!!

I usually love this place, but tonight they were horrible. The food was ok, but the service was messed up. The employees had everyone waiting as if no one was there to help anyone even though there were at least 7 associates (most were in the back). They must of had a new employee because she had zero customer service skills. She scraped the crap off the bottom of the rice dish rather than getting new. Spooned a pitiful amount of beans on top of the soggy rice and just up and left. Another associate finally came to help us, but then barely gave us any toppings (sour cream, cheese, and corn). How hard is it to scoop food onto a pile? Finally at the register the cashier checked us out without so much as a hello, and then walked off, but not before the same new employee reached in front of my boobs and transaction to grab the tip jar. We could tell all of what she cared about... wont be going back until they learn how to serve people. I was cashed out at 8:08PM

Making the most of the last day for FREE burrito at Chipotle w/ Costco membership I went to the 2nd location of Chipotle in Fmt. I've been curious about it, but never made it here until today. This was my 2nd stop after going to the one in AutoMall. This location was crazy busy. About 20 people in front of me all taking there sweet time ordering. Only 1 cash register, but about 3-4 line workers helping to make the food. This time got a Barbacoa (shredded beef) burrito. It was pretty boring to eat. Only thing that helped was that I drowned it in hot sauce at home. I only ate half & shared w/ hubby. Saved $6.47! Had separate bathrooms: women had 2 stalls & 2 sinks.

Clean, and tasty... I sometimes come here after a hard work-out at 24 hour fitness and order a chicken bowl. If i'm feeling somewhat unhealthy i add a guac and chips as well. Tasty and always fast. In & out in less than 5 minutes more often than not... I highly recommend.

I love Chipotle! The food here is always fresh and very tasty! It's such a perfectly balanced meal: carbs, protein, and veggies all wrapped up in a warm tortilla. I was super excited when I saw the coming soon sign for this place, and since it has opened, I come here on a regular basis. I only have 2 complaints. First, the portions are never the same each time I come here. Sometimes my burrito is gigantic and other times it comes out very small. And second, the seating here is kind of weird. There's this strange, artistic table on one side which takes up about half of the seating area, yet only about 5 people could probably sit there. This can be a problem when it gets crowded, and you might end up having to take your burrito to go.

HUGE fan of Chipotle! This location is wonderful. They have super fast service, friendly employees, and make really good burritos! The great part...you pick what you want on your burrito because they make it right in front of you. I would give this location 5 stars, but parking is sometimes a bit of a challenge in this location as it's a busy shopping center.

One word: Barbacoa It's not just beef, it's tasty meaty goodness! I dunno how they make it (I guess I could look it up) but I don't need to because all I need to know is that it makes my burrito, taco, whatever I order at Chipotle, taste darn good! Someone once told me that Chipotle is like the Mexican McDonalds, which I am hoping is not true because I really don't like Mickey D's unless I'm in the mood for something specific on their menu (almost never). I'm not kidding myself though; I know Chipotle is as chain as you can get. No authenticity or cooking with heart here. But until my tastebuds begin to deteriorate, it's a Barbacoa Burritos with mild salsa, a splash of sour cream, queso and quac for me! Half the burrito always remains for the the next day to continue the Barbacoa happiness. If you're looking for another meat variable, go for the carnitas. If you're looking for something a bit healthier, get the burrito bowl. Oh, and don't forget to get some of their tasty chips that are lightly salted with a hint of lime and their Chipotle Tabasco sauce. This location only gets three stars because every time I go the place is hecka busy and/or their is never any parking. My bad for always going during the weekend around lunch time with my cranky kid. At least the workers make sure that the line moves fast (sometimes resulting in messy burrito construction - but it's ok because it's all going into the same place) so you're never in line too long. I like the patio on sunny days but the smoking people next door down at Peet's are icky. Also why are there 80s song lyrics on the paper that lines the food baskets??

I normally don't like fast food, but I love coming to Chipotle. The service here is great and the people give lots of food! I always get their Chicken Salad, with very little black beans, corn salsa, medium salsa, and extra lettuce. It's soooo delicious!! I hate cilantro, any taste of it...which is why I'm not a huge fan of Mexican food... However, with everything combined and inside my mouth, the cilantro taste doesn't bother me at all. When I'm really hungry, I'll get a side of guac with chips. Their guac is extremely fresh and their chips are light, crispy, and with a hint of lime. Chipotle is by far one of my favorite places to go when I'm in a rush!

  • Anne N.

The service is misleading. It's fast, but not accurate. If you order anything, be loud and specific, otherwise you're not going to get what you wanted in the first place. It's expensive for what it is, but overall for the price of a meal, it's still considered cheap. Had the salad today and I requested for chicken, somehow that never worked out and they gave me steak. It was a good salad, just not what I ordered.

Its fast food Mexican food. Like a step above taco bell, well more than a step. I was here for lunch today and the burritos are gigantic. The meat is very good and the rice is delicious. The salsas they offer are awesome. I do have to admit, their carnitas are pretty tasty.

The reason that this Chipotle is not in my best graces is because I've actually been antagonized as a customer here. My girlfriend and I have eaten here several times, and on most days it's quite good. However, during one particular visit, the regional manager was here working behind the counter. My girlfriend and I usually get the tin foil lids for our burrito bowls whether or not it is for take-out just so we can shake our bowls and mix the food evenly. I asked for lids this time just the same, and the regional manager asked if it was for to-go. I said no, and that we like to shake it up and eat it and have the option to pack it up and take it home if necessary. He quickly frowned and said that this was a waste of their resources, and that if I wanted to take home unfinished food then I should ask for a lid. I glared at him with some awe and some confusion as to why he'd antagonize a customer to save a penny. I let this one go. As I was taking napkins afterward, he followed me and stood next to me as I was taking napkins to make sure I only took one or two. If I'm not mistaken, Chipotle Corporate has been communicating through their marketing messaging for customers "to remember to take lots of napkins with each visit" because they like to capitalize on the unexpected popularity of their napkins. If this is the culture, why is this particular regional manager acting this way? Is the customer's satisfaction with the experience worth some tin foil? Maybe he was just worried about the bottom line, but I thought this was pretty ridiculous. I've seen him in other stores around the East Bay area and it just reminds me of this experience each time. It's a pity; I still can't get enough of those bowls though. The corn here is a different type of corn, a pale white color. I'm not sure if it's another cost-cutting initiative, but it doesn't taste as good.

Usually excellent. The only thing to dislike is how busy it always is and how unorganized it can get.The last time, the line was L shaped from the counter all the way down the side of the restaurant.I think I counted 19 people in line ahead of us. :I Food is worth the wait though, unless they run low on something, then all hell breaks loose;they start serving the people behind you and good luck getting your food.Has happened more than once when they ran out of steak.

This is a nice Chipotle, food is just as good as any location. But, the problem here is with some of the employees who are extremely rude - note that just some of them (not all, there are some really nice ones). A few of them often are talking smack about customers in Spanish (which I understand), and I think it's really lame and unprofessional. Management should really get rid of them, as they seem to give everyone attitude whenever something out of the ordinary is asked for. It should be obvious enough which employees these are, especially to any customers.

I decided to try Chipotle today and I took my mom here as well who is learning English but hasn't quite got there yet so I was helping her with her order. There were no people behind us and the lady who was helping us with the order turned out to be so unbearably rude that I honestly felt like slapping her at one point. My mom of thinking what to get and I told the lady to wait a second and she still said 'Mam? I told her to wait a second again. Again she repeated 'Mam? I don't know what her problem was. There was no-one behind us until we got to the cashier. Every interaction with her that we had was filled with rudeness. I think she even laughed with another employee about us (in Spanish) behind our back when I was searching my wallet. Even if she wasn't, it certainly felt like it. Otherwise, I don't have any idea why she would act so impatient at first and then take the time to laugh. Finally, the food. It's nothing to write home about but it's not bad either. I got the Chicken Burrito and the brown rice was just slightly undercooked but the chicken was pretty good. For $8 though, I expected more and the rude lady didn't even put enough chicken or black beans in there in there. Overall, if you have to go here, expect bad service. There's another Chipotle at Auto Mall I believe and hopefully they don't employ rude employees there. I'm frankly astonished that the management would employ people like these who posess no professional behavior or failing that, some decent respect.

4.5 stars - probably my favorite Chipotle. They always helped my high school out when we had fundraisers [pretty creative ones, too.] I came here a lot on those open campus lunches [yay!]. Called in to order a few times, but realized that it tended to take the same amount of time [if not shorter] to just go in and order. I'm just sad they took away the "show student ID, get a free drink" promotion :( I always get the chicken fajita burritos with no beans, extra cheese, extra mild salsa, extra corn, and normal amount of lettuce. Yumm. Yay for fake Mexican food! :)

It's a typical Chipotle. I usually come during lunch time on school days so I have a time limit, but I've never been late to class yet. The workers work surprisingly quickly and manage to keep the long line moving at a constant speed. The quality is fine, and the employees actually fill up the bowl and don't leave too many empty spaces. Overall, it's fast and pretty good for when you crave a burrito.

I love the salad bowl with chicken however in the past few weeks I have been to 2 places in Fremont and surprisingly they both are dirty. It looks like staff never spent time to clean up tables and floor. I didn't see any manager doing rounds at all while I see at least 4 people on the serving line and few more in the back. At least 1 of them can sweep the floor or wipe tables. Today, when I got my chips, it was stale. I asked for a different bag and even I told them that I do not want the same batch on the display next to cooler. He gave it to me anyway and it was stale too. I had to return it again. Then a girl went to the back and got me another bag, and some chips were stale too. I even asked the boys next to our table and said the same, our chips is stale. I own a small cafe and if that happens to me, I'd be embarrased and would do the right thing to correct it. I would remove the bad chips from the display and replace with a fresh batch. But I guess for a big chain like Chipotle, it really won't affect them if I stopped going there.

Awesome food, which is the reason for the 3 stars. However I seem to always pick the worst time to come in (and by that I mean anytime) because the line is 9 times out of 10 past the door... Slowest Chipotle I've ever been to.

This review is more about the service of the restaurant rather than the food (generally 4 stars in my book). I arrived here for a late weekend dinner and the line was 8 deep, which didn't seem too bad, but from the time I walked in to the time I paid for the burrito bowl, 19 minutes went by which is craziness! It started when I noticed several of the food bins were empty and the 'cooks' were behind on re-filling items, something that they should have anticipated. However, this is difficult to do when the servers are scooping out huge portions of everything people ask for so they run out sooner - admittedly, not a bad thing, but also shows inconsistency from previous reviews of customers getting less than what they expect. As I approached the first server who asked what I wanted, and I said a burrito bowl with white rice and pinto beans, she paused for a beat, and started scooping brown rice into the bowl...I understand it's fast food and this is not your 'career', but if you ask me a question and I respond, can you listen for long enough to get the order right? I notice this happens at other chipotles as well, where they ask what you want, grab the bowl/tortilla, then ask what kind of meat you want AGAIN...a mild annoyance that is magnified after waiting for 10 minutes to get to the front of the line at a FAST food restaurant (time to build robotic food servers please?)....Finally, I got to the cashier, who kept going back and forth from the kitchen as if she had a scheduled break every 2 minutes! AAAAHHHHH you're killing us all ! ! ! At this point it's 8pm and there were 20 ppl behind me.....Chipotle please send your employees to Tesla so they can learn how to seamlessly run an assembly line (let's be real, that's what it is)! 4 stars for food, 0 stars for service = 2 star rating!

This Chipotle reminds me of high school days. Everything was pretty much the same. Quesadillas used to be my usual, but then they got expensive/placed onto the kid's menu, so now I stick to tacos. Has the food always been so salty, but I never noticed? It was like someone dumped a whole can of Morton salt on my tacos. That should be toned down...the meat tastes like beef jerky. Other than that, this place is as popular as ever. Last time, the line moved suuuuuper slow, which was understandable since it was dinner time, but still... It's just another chain restaurant in my book these days, nothing to get excited about.

Had Chipotle 10 years ago and was never able to eat it again being that I didnt live by one. Since I now work in Fremont and this was down the street I decided to have it for lunch today. I am very disappointed in the quality and flavor. I order one carne asada taco and the meat was pink still and a little tough. It was spicy but didnt really have a flavor imo. The taco itself was $2 something and for what I got that was way overpriced. One extra star for the fresh guac and chips. Service was fast since they had way too many employees working in the front. A little overwhelming trying to place an order. 5 employees all in the front? really? haha

I am a huge fan of Chipotle Mexican Grill. I absolutely love their burritos. I always have the cooks melt the cheese on my flour tortilla before I add the vegetarian black beans, grilled chicken, guacamole, salsa, more cheese and sour cream. I enjoy the fast friendly service. I also think you are getting what you pay for when you eat at Chipotle. I will be back soon!

Probably, my favorite fast food place to go to during the school year. It's comfort food. I'm a girl and I can finish my burrito in one go. Probably in ten minutes. :3 idk why other girls can't. ANYWAYS recently I have switched over to bowls and they are great too just a bit messy. They get me through finals week! I usually get chicken, less rice, sour cream, guac, black beens, corn, mild salsa, lettuce, and fajita. :)yummy. i feel pregnany everytime I finish...probably not healthy and then i go into a food coma..I usually fall asleep. LOL. If you're a girl, you probably shouldn't finish one.

This is a good spot. They aren't cheap with the portions, I always leave with a newborn baby sized burrito. Big parking lot, fast and friendly service. The food is good too, I love Chipotle on the run! Also, they usually keep the Chipotle Tabasco hidden in the back. I guess they aren't too big a fan of buying a burrito and getting a free Chipotle Tabasco with your purchase. Just ask, and they'll bring out a bottle for you!

Came in today for lunch. The first server in the line was very robotic and did not put much meat or rice. Not even a full scoop of meat! It was probably the smallest burrito bowl I have gotten in Chipotle. To top that off, the wait here is pretty long during peak hours and the garbage cans were all full. Better off driving to a different Chipotle location.

I love Chipotle so I was sorely disappointed when I went to this particular location the other day. My friend and I had an important appointment to get to but we didn't want to opt for the less healthy chains like McD, BK, Wendy's or Jack in the Box. We arrived around 12:20ish to find a line going out the door. No prob, service at all other Chipotle's I've been to is usually blazing fast. After all, that's the whole point of having 5-6 servers in a line, right? No luck. Not only did it take about 20-25 minutes for us to get our food, but the restaurant in general was unclean. There was one table in particular that had a gross slop of water mixed with toppings scattered all over the table top and flood. No one seemed to notice or even check if any cleaning needed to be done. There was also a ridiculously large take-out order that the servers were going through, but they kept getting portions of the toppings wrong so they had to start over. There was also poor communication as some servers put in the same toppings more than once. In the end, when my friend and I finally got to the front of the line (they filled the take-out order in pieces, periodically serving those waiting in line), there were 3 servers just staring intently at the receipt trying to figure out which orders to redo and which to keep. The toppings were also unkept (eg: there were cheese shreds in the sour cream, corn pieces in the fresh salsa, etc.). I suppose the least they could do at the register was apologize for the delay. Again, no such luck. I guess this place is starting to hire from the other fast food places' pool of rejects or something. It's too bad cause Chipotle has otherwise always set itself apart from the pack. Now I know to avoid this one location like the plague.

This is basically a lesson in what not to order for takeout. So this place is near my work and I wanted to try the burrito's and crispy taco's. So I order barbacoa for both the burrito and the taco's. Here are the pluses: You can order online. You don't have to wait in line to pay, just walk up to the register when you get there. I have to give them kudos for fresh ingredients. So yes, my order was ready, I only had to wait for the lady with two kids who just got their burritos and wanted to eat them NOW, lol. The minus, the nice cashier didn't realize I had already paid online and rang me up again. Funny thing is, what she rang me up for was a whopping $5 less than what I paid online. Don't know what happened there, but might pay me to just wait in line if there's a next time. Once I get back to the office, the crispy taco's were crispy no more. I did my best to remove the soggy bits and toss them. I had a few bites of the meat, guac and lettuce, and it was good, but I tried to save the rest to take home. As you can see from the pict, it transmigrated into a terrible mess. I just couldn't bring myself to finish it. If you're going to get crispy taco's, you're probably better off to eat them there. Pluses for the burrito. It was big, but I had trouble finding the meat. I'm not a big rice fan, but got it to share with the wife, and she likes rice. She liked it fine. I didn't really taste any lime flavor. Another minus, the filling was all off balance, as you can see, all of the guac was sunk to one end. I kind of like a little guac in every bite. Couple of other minus's, there's no lengua on the menu, and I wish re-fried beans were a choice as well. A plus is they do have vegetarian black beans. I'll probably try them again, but I'll stick to the burrito's and leave the rice out of mine, lol. Maybe I'll have better luck with the soft taco's.

Clean, delicious, and affordable mexican food but streamlined into a fast food operation? Yeah, that's Chipotle. It's hard for me not to be a fan of most Chipotles... they usually give me such high standard fast service, that I don't think I've really had any complaints. This is definitely my pit stop for when I need a quick meal to go, and don't really have too much time to wait for food. This particular Chipotle can get busy during the weekday lunch and dinner rushes, but even then the line usually goes pretty fast. (They're like machines and robots..!) My personal favorite is the chicken burrito bowl to go with brown rice, pinto beans, diced tomatoes, hot sauce, corn, sour cream, and cheese. I get the burrito bowl because unlike an actual burrito, it doesn't get messy or fall apart on you, so you can eat it in a professional setting too... and because it's just not messy. I've found that leaving out the lettuce from the burrito bowl is pretty helpful so that you aren't just having to fork through a pile of lettuce before you can get to the goods. Yum. Chipotle.

Is this place really on Mowry or on the parkway? Either way, they provided me a food coma inducing steak burrito worthy of a special mention. I came here with some old friends after their daughter's soccer game, so everyone was pretty famished. The service is pretty fast and assembly-line like, and their outdoor seating was pretty extensive.

Love Chipotle. Great service. Friendly associates, good international music. My 4 year old even recognized a French children's song while eating. Their guac & chips are my fav, and one of the main reason's I go here.

I'm a big fan of chipotle in general due to fresh quality ingredients, preparation, service, etc. I have to say that there is some variability between individual stores. But I have been to this store many times and must say that this particular store is terrific. Great food, service, staff, efficiency, etc. All in all, one of the best Chipotles I have been to.

I am a Chipotle Addict. I love this place. I withheld a star because I hate the parking lot. I could live off of this stuff. My forever favorite is the Chicken Salad. The restaurant is clean, the people are nice, and they sometimes play reggae dancehall--winners! *now serving BROWN RICE*

Its your typical chipotle spot. Try to avoid this place during meal time hours. The line can get insanely long! Other than that, I think this place is delicious!

What can I even say? Chipotle is a dependable place. I always get good food here, but missing a star because there is usually a long way to place your order (~10 minutes).

Oh Chipotle. There really is not much to say. Everything about their food is simply amazing. My husband and I come here almost every Saturday for our 'junk food' hit of the week, the funny thing is that it isn't even junk food! (IMO) The chicken bowl, ends up being the same amount of calories as my usual 12inch subway sandwich. Light on the rice, black beans, chicken, mild salsa, corn salsa, teeny tiny drop of sour cream, cheese and a huge pile of lettuce! Delicious! My husband always gets something different and he is never ever disappointed. He also always asks them to pile on a handful of cilantro from the back counter.. he loves it that way. I have yet to try, but they are nice enough to really do whatever you ask, so it works out no matter what he gets, be it the 3 steak tacos, the steak/pork mix burrito, or whatever else he might feel like having. We always get a bag of chips to split with some guacamole and never ever regret it! The staff can sometimes be a little rushed which is understandable, I guess as long as they do it right, they can rush as much as they want.

This place is all right, it's in the same general genre as Rubio's, but I think Rubio's has better pinto beans. I got the crispy chicken tacos and a side of beans. You get FOUR tacos and they're pretty good. I only ate three and was satisfied (but I'm only 5'1"). The guacamole was tasty, but they charged extra. The pinto beans were not to my taste. I only had a couple of bites and threw the rest away. You can't have groups of any more than 5 at this one. The booth will fit 5 people, if they like each other and are willing to bunch up. The rest of the tables fit four and they're bolted to the floor so there is no way you can push tables together. I think I'll stick with Rubio's from now on.

Any place that doesn't offer free chips and salsa already loses points in my book. I was not impressed with this place at all. My steak fajita burrito was a lot spicier than expected (spice overload) and was significantly smaller than my companion's burrito even though his was cheaper. I asked for my salsa on the side instead of in my buritto (I like to control the amount that's in it) and ordered chips (70 cents). Seeing my salsa on the side, they charged me for it, thinking it was for the chips. 1 star for offering fresh food and another star for $3.50 margaritas that were tasty yet strong. Sorry, but there's just more authentic and better tasting Mexican restaurants around for me to come back here.

I've been visiting Chipotle since I was in college in San Diego. I used to go for a burrito nearly every day and it was always great. Go a little light on the sour cream and get a kick out of the variety of flavors here. The rice has a great tanginess to it that you don't find elsewhere. Also, if you are not a burrito type you can get the valuable burrito in a bowl which is a burrito without the tortilla. Great meat, great food, and fast service make this place a good eat.

I can't believe I am reviewing a Chipotle. Before I went to other locations, I thought they were all the same. This one, however, stands out as being consistently clean and staffed by friendly folks who remember your order and don't roll their eyes when you ask for a wee bit more beans in your bol. If you are also a psycho like me who picks the red onions out of your guacamole you will appreciate that they chop them big for a quick and easy onion-ectomy.

  • Helen F.

Chipotle is the Mexican equivalent of Inn-N-Out. They don't give you a lot of choices, prepare the food fresh-ishly in front of you and claim that their ingredients are better. The cilantro rice is quite good even though I hate cilantro (you can't taste it). I, like Ryan T., like their 'bol' option as I am not such a tortilla fan. Pricing is decent and I can pretend like it's a healthier alternative.

I really like mexican food. This food is pretty good. Its a step up from Taco Bell, but not quite like a Chevy's or El Torrito. Should it be called casual fast food? You can get a very good lunch for under $10. Try the 4 crispy tacos with carnitas. You won't regret it. Another favorite of mine is the burrito with carne asada. You basically can get hard or soft tacos, burritos, salads, etc. with your choice of meat. The combinations are too numerous to list. Add a soda, water, or chips and salsa, and you have quite a meal. My only disappointment is that if you get chips and salsa, it's an extra charge. Isn't that sacriledge? It's like going to a Chinese restaurant and having to pay for your fortune cookies.

I love Chipotle. I know it's a chain, and I know it's owned by McDonald's but I don't care. I love the barbacoa burrito with the spicy salsa - so good. As a "lighter" option, the burrito bol is good. :-)

I hated mexican food while growing up. I know I know...I'll probably get hassled and be told that it isn't real authentic mexican food, but for some inexplicable reason, I've been craving it massively this week. On both occasions, I got the same thing, which I can say will never let me down. I get the barbacoa burrito with black beans, corn salsa, cheese and I do pay extra for the guac. All I can say is pure bliss...ahhhh. While I am typing this, the second one is in the outside fridge calling my name. Definitely worth the stars...

This is the best Chipotle ever. The stuff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very clean and well maintain. I always go with my girlfriend and we enjoy our food. My favorite is Carnitas burrito with green salsa and guacamole really delicious. The managers are really nice and helpful. I really recommend this place ah is really affordable also.

This is what you might call a fancier Taco Bell. The burrito doesn't taste all that authentic as you would normally expect from a real taqueria. However the tacos do come alive for me. BTW, if you're a student, show your valid student ID and get a free cup for soda.

I know this place is not authentic at all and I normally wouldn't step foot in here but how can I pass up on a FREE burrito?!?!?! Thank you costco card for our free burritos! :) My bf and I came here tonight for dinner and the line was crazy! I hear it's been crazy long from Fri-Sun this month b/c of the free burrito deal. We waited about 40+ mins until we got our burritos. I had the barbacoa burrito (marinated shredded beef in spicy sauce) with all the fix (black beans, fresh tomatoes, roasted corn, guacamole, sour cream, and lettuce). My bf had the chicken burrito with all the fix as well except he choose the hot sauce while I picked the mild sauce. It's unbelievable how huge they make these burritos...they completely stuff the thing with tons of meat! I'm sure the workers were just rushing the orders b/c of the demand but none of my ingredients were mixed too well. I was eating mostly guacamole and lettuce in the beginning until half way through I finally got to all my meat, beans and rice! Both the burritos were very tasty though. The meats were definitely marinated well and neither were dry! I'm really surprised about the quality of the food and how good the burritos actually were. I guess I wouldn't mind coming back here since it's pretty close to where I live :P

I just got into Chipotle recently. Here's some basic information for those new to it. A bowl comes with rice, beans, meat, and whatever other toppings you want. No tortilla. A salad is the same as the bowl; in lieu of the rice, it is with lettuce. A taco comes in portions of three. It seems that at both the Mowry and Auto Mall location, you can request whatever combination of toppings you want. The only time they will charge you extra is for an extra portion of meat or the guacamole.

I love going to chipotle! Everything is so fresh, simple, yet tasty I actually think this place is too good to be associated with fastfood. I always get the burrito bowl with barbacoa and fresh and red salsa. The barbacoa is always given in huge chunks, and is tender and shreads apart easily. I like that in the bowl you have control of what you're eating unlike with the burrito where they just mash everything together. The chips and quac taste pretty good too. This is typically a lunch stop for me, even during that hour, they get me in and out pretty quickly. One thing I've wondered though, is it just my imagination or does this place serve coronas?

First time there. Ordered a Steak Burrito. The burrito itself was pretty good. Definitely hits the spot and is very filling. The reason I gave this place 3 stars as oppose to 5 is that the Manager (I believe he was the Manager) was kind of a jerk. I ordered a water but changed my mind immediately. To make a long story short he said he couldn't remove it from the bill. Basically, he didn't know how to work the register so he got really upset that I had asked him to remove it. In the end he just ate the difference and had me pay minus the water. Will go back again though as their food is great.

    (3)
  • Jen L.

Love the simplicity of the ordering process. I get exact what I want in my burrito. There's usually a line when ever I go there, but the line goes super fast. The food taste fresh and is consistent everytime. Now this has become one of our regulars.

Chipotle is not bad, and when I lived for 5 stupid years in the midwest, Chipotle was the most decent place to get a burrito. The thing is, here in the Tri-City area, you have many other places to get a good mexican burrito. The LAST place you want to go is Chipotle. So if you are thinking about Chipotle, just avoid it and go to Taqueria Los Gallos in Newark, CA. You'll get a better burrito, good FREE chips, free salsa, etc. The only downer to Los Gallos is the lack of a soda fountain for you to refill your drink yourself. Compared to other Chipotle's, it is the same except that most Chipotle's I have visited have larger dining areas. P.S. Some of their cups now have an essay defending why they don't have free chips...and their chips are not great, except for the lime flavoring.

  • Steve N.

A great mexican fast food chain. I'd rate it a 3 for the food, and a 5 for the convenience. It's open late, easy to order, and a good quick meal. You can also get a relatively healthy dinner (ordering the chicken soft tacos without sour cream, and splitting chips and guacamole with someone). The guacamole is in a small container, and tastes great. I'm not a huge fan of the burritos, but the chicken soft tacos are consistently good (and healthy).

everytime I pull my car into or out of Henry's Advanced Auto Repair (good fucking service, believe me, this place is the place for your car to be when it's in need of some lovin!), I always find myself at Chipotle's one way or the other. every chipotle's I have ever been to has been so good that salivation occurs at the back of my molars as i write this review. so sorry if all of the reviews for every chipotle's i have experienced in all of california are the same. it's friggin good and the prices are sweet as hell. you pick what you want and you get it, so there is no room left for any chance of bad service, and you get a free drink if you show them a school id! how much better does it get? chipotle's rocks. fajita burrito with half chicken and half steak, corn salsa, sour cream, shredded lettuce, and cheese, with hot salsa on the side. get some chips with guac on the side of that and you're good to go.

  • zoe b.

I love Chipotle. I haven't noticed a huge difference between locations, but this one is local to me and I love it. Where else can you get a huge, healthy, delicious dinner for $6? I know some people argue with me on the "healthy" -- but if you think your burrito is too big, just don't eat the whole thing. Some of us are hungry after a long day at work and need 1000 calories or whatever it is.... My favorite burrito: Black beans, rice, all four salsas, sour cream, cheese, guacamole, lettuce. When I feel like being a maverick, I ask for the guac on the side and get chips too.

  • Cindy N.

I would actually give it 2 1/2 stars. Not bad, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there again. Like today, if there was nowhere else to eat and it was around, I'd go there for a decent meal, but I wouldn't seek it out. I'd say it's more Tex-Mex than Mexican as my tacos had corn in it.

  • Rachael W.

Quick, casual & affordable Mexican food? I'm there! This may not be truely authentic...but it's miles ahead of Taco Bell & the like. At least there's no ground beef offered!!! If you can hande very moderately spicy food, then I highly recommend the barbacoa. OMG, it's to die for! I always order the crispy tacos, 2 carnitas/2 barbacoa. It never fails that when I get to eating them I always lament the fact that I didn't order all 4 barbacoa. Anyway, I get the black beans, lettuce, sour cream, salsa, cheese, & gaucamole. The green salsa mixed with the salsa fresca (chunky tomato) adds additional heat and flavor. I used to order the corn salsa (it's good) , but when I switched to barbacoa I found it too sweet. The best thing about this place is the fact that you can add or delete any condiment they offer. You aren't stuck with a fixed options of the restraurant's choosing, which you may or may not like... It is a bummer they don't offer free chips & salsa...but the price is nominal. I can get over paying for them, as the hint of lime really makes them special. The people who say the meat is way too spicy amaze me. I would say "mildly spicy" is as hot as it gets here, unless you are choosing the wrong salsas. And I'm a gringo, so it's not that I am immune. lol (Really, even my heat/spice sensitive daughter, age 16, is capable of handling everything Chipotle offers.. with the exception of the hot red chile salsa). For those who say the menu is too limited I have to respond.....have you spent time in line at In & Out Burger lately?! ;) Limited options isn't always a bad thing. Excell at a few things, rather than none.

Rice in a burrito? okay maybe, but white rice? and they fill half the burrito with rice.... That's okay there is Super Taco on Fremont blvd for a burrito that is twice as good for practically half the price, or a host of other taquerias. I give it 2-stars because your health-nut gringo friends will probably go for it, just not this gringo...

I only go here for the Barbacoa burrito and I love it. Plus it's the only place I've ever seen Smoked Chipotle Tabasco, which perfectly complements the burrito and has enough heat to make me sweat a little! :)

This place is definitely nothing special if you're a vegetarian. You can't really go wrong with beans, rice, cheese, and vegetables in a tortilla. These burritos are WEAK. Just go to the burrito truck down by the car wash on Tromboli. They're 100x better.

  • Indy L.

oh Chipotle - if only you did not use so much cilantro - though, the veggie tacos are hearty and good chips - extra salty with a hint of lime, which is nice too too bad the parking can be tough here at times not too crazy about the outdoor seating - why do some places insist on your outdoor seating view to be of a busy street or parking lot?

I'm a big fan of this place because #1 I LOVE Mexican Food! & #2 It's fresh and almost healthy enough to not be considered as "JUNK" food. I was introduced to this place by my best friend Cat & Quan. From the moment I first took a bite of their crunchy & soft chicken tacos, I was in love. It was a little bite of heaven to me. I love how they use fresh ingredients! The lettuce & fresh sour cream & pico de gallo are delcious! I like to get it with extra chicken when I'm super hungry! One thing is that, I really only get the chicken tacos. I really want to try the carnitas here but am afraid because some of the Mexican places that I've tried have been a bit on the dry side, which doesn't sit well with me. My Fiance has tried their carnita's burrito bowl and he didn't like as much. My sister actually tired the carne asada burrito, and didn't like it either. I guess it's just one of those places where when you find a favorite, you stick to it. So that is what I will do because I really can't give them 4 stars for their restaurant as a whole, but as far as their chicken tacos go, bravo! (:

Really 2 1/2 stars. It's a clean burrito bar mass-chain cafeteria. For that, 2 stars. The food is acceptible (though I think the chips are revolting), and the guacamole can be actually good. Beans and rice, with a bit of god-knows-what-quality meats and some other vegetable and dairy toppings. For the extra half-star, the staff has adapted to the local community enough to point out that there's pork in the pinto beans. I'm sure it's not even close to a kosher kitchen, but you can avoid eating animal if you're vegetarian and pig in specific if you're modified-kosher/halal. For that, they should stay in business.

I love the burritos. The chicken is very tasty. I also get the hot salsa that is not very hot. It is a pretty simple menu. Would like to try the steak. But keep getting the chicken because it is so tasty. Valerie T is right...Sorta sucks that you have to pay for chips and salsa. Can't wait for them to open the one in Newark.

Chipotle is the best burrito I've ever had.. Service always quick, and food is great, especially that corn salsa! The only negative is the guy there is always pretending to mess up your order. Not cool. I said 'steak' man, not chicken!

Chipotle is owned by McDonald's....did ya know that? I didn't, until a few months ago. Well first off, on my way to Chipotle, [in the parking lot], I nearly got hit by a woman driving a new van that didn't see me (and I had the right of way) until literally the very last moment when I honked and she was shocked & gestured apologetically......oh....big black truck, uh yeah, it would be a good idea to stop huh....anyway, I ordered a chicken burrito along with black beans, of course the rice, corn, guacamole (me loves them avocados!!), sour cream and cheese. The burrito wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. If anything, it was funky--the reason being, that when I bit into one certain side of the burrito, I tasted nothing but salt galore.....and that lasted for about two bites. I'd go here again, but not regularly.

Chipotle is not a taquiera, but it's not Taco Bell either. I always seem to order the 4 crispy tacos with barbacoa and guacamole. Just right for a weeknight dinner. This location is very clean. The staff is really nice. Sometimes it's gets crowded, but the line seems to move pretty fast. I wish we had more places like this in Fremont!!

This is the best Mexican restaurant with good prices and fabulous quality of food. The meat is always freshly cooked on a grill. THe salsa is also fresh and always chunky with tomatoes and corn. Although the menu is kinda plain coz there's only a few choices. But i love this place!

We ordered our lunch there way ahead of time, but were late in picking it up due to being stuck at work. When we came to pick it up, amazingly, it was still warm!! The flavors were delicious, and the lettuce was crisp. A big plus in my book is that they use romaine lettuce instead of the usual (yecch) iceberg. Whoever said Mexican food meant soggy iceberg lettuce? The only minuses were that the lady who cashiered was cranky, and also that the beef was a bit too spicy. I mean too spicy. They are generous with the guacamole, which was extra. I love guacamole.

I'm a pretty picky eater when it comes to well... everything. And Chipotle is great for that. I usually just order 3 soft tacos and theyre always great. I didn't used to goto Chipotle because it always seemed the line was out the door. But the amazing thing about that is the line moves very quickly. We were outthe door and at the register within 5 minutes. Very quick if you have a limited amount of time to eat. I reccomend it to all.

I love the stuff... It's a decent burrito. However, the guac is over priced, but without it, the whole burrito is dry. It totally kills the burrito without guac... so I say just pay the extra 2 bucks.

It's cheap, it's fast, and I put on 20 lbs after my junior year of high school eating there. When you go there, you're definitely not expecting authentic Mexican food. If you are, you're going to be severely disappointed. Basically you walk down the isle and you tell them what to put on your burrito. My friend and I used to frequent this place, and we got very familiar with the staff. They would often times give us free burritos or seriously pile on the food. Management has apparently changed, and most of the employees are a lot more frugal with their food giving, and since we have moved on to college, they no longer recognize us. I remember a particular instance where they gave us a bowl of rice and a bowl of the other toppings (chicken, fajitas, corn, salsa, etc) and only charged us 6 bucks for it. Had I been reviewing this place a couple years ago, I would've definitely given a 5 star, based on the service alone, but now the service is just so so. The burritos are very flavorful, and consistent with the other Chipotle chains. The atmosphere is nice, they have nice lighting and pretty relaxed employees, who never rush you out; I've spent many an afternoon just relaxing with friends, sitting therein the AC, hiding from the hot summer sun.

Good food, but a limited menu. They have tacos, burritos, a burrito bol (Burrito fillings in a bowl), and a fajita burrito. Even though the service was quick they fail the free chips and salsa gold standard.

Finally, one in Fremont! I could only get Chipotle near school in Cupertino, and just spotted this one off Mowry. The food, service and prices are great! A good place to grab a bite when you're really hungry!

Mmmmm....Chipolatte. What I like about Chipopotae is their ability to breakdown Mexican food to it's most basic parts. The food is good, and it's really up to you to mix-and-match rice, beans, etc. into a taco, burrito or bowl.

Now, for better or worse, I love Chopotle, but I am rating this against experiences at the "real" pre-franchise Chipotle in Denver, CO. This Chipotle still has a way to go before I could really recommend it. The hot sauce is toned down, the service could be quicker and more friendly, and in my experience, order errors are common (c`mon, its only a burrito!). The guacamole is up to par, though, and even a mediocre Chipotle is worth visiting!

the first time i had my first chipotle experience was in berkeley. i had their veggie fajita burrito and it was delicious!!!!...since i live in the penisula, i go to foster city for a quick fix of their delectable burritos.

I've loved Chipotle ever since I got a coupon for a free burrito when I was in high school (2006). My go to order is the burrito bowl with black beans, fajita vegetables, grilled chicken, mild salsa, and lettuce. The Sofritas are also good, but too soupy for the paper burrito bowls (I have had a burrito bowl fall through my to-go bag). Everyone that works here is super friendly and I highly recommend this business. There have been occasions where I've had to wait extra time to pick up my online order, but that's alright because they made up for it with free drinks! On an average day there's a twenty to thirty minute line, but the quality of the ingredients makes up for this minor flaw (plus you can order online to skip the line).

The food here is standard Chipotle food. It's as good as it can be. Few times, they don't cut the onion all the way and you get this onion flower thing (this ain't an awesome blossom!). The lines here go way out the door. Getting in and out isn't really going to happen on a fast schedule. Come here if you're willing to wait.

Pros: portions are goood Cons: the wait time sucks!! I was in line for half an hour...they should hire more staff...

One of the slowest service you can get compare with other chipotle ... 30 minutes wait while only a few people in line, happens all the time. Outside balcony area is also very dirty, tables and chairs have birds poop and I don't think they ever bother to clean them!!

Replace staff. They're slow and don't know how to stick to their positions. Line waits that are 20 min take 40 due to incompetent service. Your jobs not hard! Come on pick up the pace.

This Chipotle is always super busy but always super slow to serve! I waited in line over 12 minutes and only one person was rang up. There were only two people working behind the counter struggling to complete a large order. There should have been a manager to help out and ring people up. Every other Chipotle Grill I have been to is very fast and efficient but not this one! A lady with a couple of kids behind me left right before me. I was very disappointed. I will not be returning.

It's chipotle.. More like a place to get quick lunch / dinner. Nothing special but not bad either so giving 3 stars. Tip : place gets really crowded so order online if you can and pick up food instead of waiting in line

Thought this place was getting better. We've been coming here about once a week for the past few months - now, we always order online to beat the line. Today, they forgot our salad dressing, again. Ugh :( 11/3 Update: Today, our burrito had a tear in it but they didn't bother re-wrapping it (was a faxed-in, to-go order). When we went to pick it up, the line was allll the way to the second entrance. Service here is still super, super slow & the staff is not attentive to detail. 12/3 Update: Ordered a carnitas salad via fax. Upon opening it up at home, I realized they forgot to add any carnitas to my salad. This is ridiculous :(

Bad management very bad service, only 6 customers were ahead of me and took 23 minutes to get a burrito and when I got it it was COLD . if you have half hour lunch forget about this place. Never coming back to this place.

This is the worst location I've been to. The food is pretty much on par with the other restaurants (I mean, it is a chain) but the customer service here is horrible, slow, and inefficient. This place can get packed but I've waited 40 minutes to an hour to get food on several different occasions - ridiculous, as once you get to the ordering station they literally just need to scoop it. Look Chipotle - I go here because it SHOULD be fast, and I don't expect to stand in line for 40 minutes on a weekday evening for my dinner. Most of the people who work there are rude, slow, don't smile, don't say hi, apologize for the wait, nothing - just stare at you vacantly and gape-mouthed as you request your servings. Last time I was there, I had to repeat "corn, sour cream, and cheese" three times (once after she scooped each item, since apparently she could only keep track of one item at a time in her head). I watched a guy sloooowly wipe bits of tomato off the counter for a minute as I waited for him to finish to scoop my salsa (also, the line behind me was 20 people deep). No eye contact or "I'll be with you in just a minute." I don't know what the deal with this location is but the workers are seriously zombies and act like they hate their lives and their customers.

This is my favorite Chipotle location in Fremont. The location is great and it does get busy during lunch hours so parking might be harder to find. But it's generally not too bad. As for the restaurant, the line does get long during lunch hours. I am not too sure about dinner time since I don't normally go for dinner. The staff are so nice and generous in giving you a bigger portion if you asked. Other locations don't typically give you that much more when you ask. The line does move quickly since the staff are very efficient. I usually just get it to go so I don't notice too much in the dinning area. But I'm assuming that it is just like any other location. It is clean. The utensils/drinking fountains are well maintained as well. One bad thing is that I feel like they're giving you a small portion for that extra guac you're getting. At least that's how I feel. I love guac so maybe that's why I feel like it's never enough. Overall, I love coming here more than the other ones just because I feel like the people here are nicer and better.

Terrible service. The team was working on a huge Togo order with more than 20 people in line. Great food.

Slowest Chiptole around. Whoever is running this location needs to work on the efficacy. It's faster to drive to the automall location and drive back than wait for this crew! Love the food, but soo slow

This Store is always busy, but it seems like they always have inefficient use of people and processes. Frequently people on the line are working 1/2 speed or I see people not on a break just standing there doing nothing, I have ordered 3 times using the online app for this location. All 3 times something was wrong with the order. Either something was missing, as I watched people standing around doing nothing, or this time they started making it when I got there. I understand it was lunch time but it was not one event but a series of events that made me write this review. Also what's the point of ordering ahead? They don't need to hire more people they just need to make sure everyone works efficiently and have efficient processes. I may or may not go back anymore, but if I do I won't use their online ordering app anymore.

We usually go to this Chipotle location at least 1x a week. Lately with the new staff, the service has been terribly sloooow and the girls preparing your food are just plain rude! Also, lately the consistency is just not there. On a recent to-go order, I literally got about 1 tbsp of rice on my bowl (and I searched to make sure there wasn't more). They are always getting our take out orders incorrect. Sadly, I won't be using this Chipotle again, until the service improves. They really need more training and better management.

Food was great. Tasted like all the other chipotle places however the service was not the best. They don't really listen because the lady I had to put my food kept asking when I repeated myself multiple times. Again, food was great - customer service was eh. I would also appreciate a smile, but the people that was working while I was there seemed annoyed which caused me to become a little irritated as well.

Came in and picked up 3 steak salad bowls, my regular order for me, my wife and mother. We all ate it and after a few hours I was making bathroom visits every 20 minutes until the food was out of my system. Same thing for my wife and mother. I did research, and found out that Chipotle is known for food poisoning. Called management, they said they would give me one for free and two coupons for buy one get one. Now is there anyone out there that wants to buy these off of me? Would give 1 star, but management did work with me, but I'm still not intending to eat here again.

It's the year 2015 and I'm not sure why yesterday was my first time ever going to a Chipotle. I'm glad I did though because I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Chicken Rice Bowl which was honestly pretty good. The best way I can describe the food is clean and healthy...I mean that as a compliment.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
