If you're a taro fan, the taro flavor here is amazing. I love that it wasn't overly sweet and retained some taro flavor. Plus they have popping boba! My favorite is lychee and it was just perfect. Only downside I'd say is that they didn't have any captain crunch. I don't know why, but captain crunch is literally my favorite froyo topping. Relatively cheap, very clean, workers are very nice. I had a very enjoyable experience here! I'll definitely come back for more taro froyo next time!

Ordinary yogurt place. - Cannot sample before you buy. Wtf? I don't think I've been to a place that doesn't let you sample before buying. I'm taking my business to Pink Berry.

I love Red Mango, and self serve locations especially! I love the flavor and topping offerings, and how clean each station is. It's definitely easy to pile on the toppings and rack up a hefty bowl of yumminess. But I have a bone to pick with the man who rung me up and mistakenly charged me twice, when he didn't think the first charge went through without realizing the receipt machine was simply out of paper. Now my $6 froyo trip ended up costing me twice as much (two $6 charges on my cc), and I have neither receipt to show for it and dispute it. Won't be coming back to this location.

Asked for a sample cup to taste a flavor I've never heard of and they said they don't do samples. Never been to a froyo joint that doesn't let you sample with those tiny cups!!! I put a TINY amount of their chocolate in my cup and thought the flavor was too mild. Then the owner came over and lectured me about how "this" is why they don't allow sampling because it's wasteful and people steal. I was flabbergasted and offended. I left without buying anything. Won't be back.

Came here two or three times on a hot day to find that they weren't serving smoothies. We went out of the way to go here but for a place where half their menu is smoothies you would expect them to be prepared. Not reliable.

No tasting. Awful owner, he's rude. Spend your money elsewhere. Bad example of this chain.

Amazing. Simply amazing. Don't shop Bay Street without stopping by. You won't regret it!

  • Laurie H.

Pretty underwhelmed with the flavor. I got coconut and it really didn't taste much like coconut. It wasn't tart and it wasn't sweet....it was just sort of bla. Toppings were all very neat and orderly...some good choices...daughter got candy corn as a topping (that's just disgusting anyway LOL) and they were extremely stale. I found the pricing not too bad...I just wouldn't return based on the lack of flavor of the yogurt itself.

Love red mango. I kinda don't love it that they went the self-serve Yogurtland route. Before they were like Pinkberry but I guess it didn't really work for them. Their original is creamier but still tart than Pinkberry which I love. (FYI, this is what Pinkberry knocked off.) This location was kinda dirty.

Great service :) Clean place, wonderful flavours and toppings :) By far, one of my favourite fro-yo places :)

  • Jocelyn T.

First time having red mango and experience was pretty good. Froyo here is .49/ounce, variety or toppings from candies, nuts, crumbled cookies, cereals and fruits. Only noticed they had pineapples, strawberries and mixed fruit w/peaches in syrup. Wished they had more fruit choices. I thought this place also gives you plenty of froyo to sample, nothing dinky when the froyo comes out. Sampled their white peach froyo, very tart and creamy and tasted like white peach. I opted for the mango froyo with bits of pineapples, coconut flakes and lychee balls. I liked how the pineapples were cut to a nice portion size. Would be great if this place sold boba otherwise I'd come back again if I was craving some froyo in e'ville

  • Parysh J.

The actual froyo is ok. There isn't much to choose from, same with the toppings. If the customer service was better I wouldn't mind the mediocre product but the manager flat out refused to make smoothies on multiple occasions and when I asked him if the machine was broken, he said no. So can someone tell me why a place that has smoothies on the menu, all the ingredients, and working equipment refuses to make them?

    (2)
  • Danielle O.

Love Red Mango, lots of yogurt flavours to choose from and plenty of toppings! Clean place and friendly staff

  • Mouang S.

I didn't really expect much from this place. A couple friends of mine decided to check out this place to fulfill our cravings for frozen yogurt. I would have to say it wasn't the best but it's was decent. I wont be returning to this place instead I'll just have to stick with my normal stop at Yogurtland.

Too lazy to write a review. It's really sweet and sour depends on what you like. Bleh

  • Jason A.

Price is good however the chocolate yogart does not taste like chocolate. I was a bit disappointed. I haven't tried the other flavors yet. So hopefully the other flavors taste as it is listed. If possible, I would suggest to try it first before you fill up your cup.

  • Lisa L.

"Hi, what's your most popular smoothie?" "We're not serving smoothies right now.." -___- And based on previous reviews, I'm not the only one that experienced this. I just dont find myself calling a smoothie place ahead of time to confirm if they're making smoothies. And FYI - the face up above is pretty accurate to what my actual face looked like.

Red Mango would have been fine three years ago, before the froyo revolution opened our eyes and brought us to expect any topping we could imagine, perfectly arranged and always full, sitting there waiting for us to pile them onto any of the 20 flavors of froyo of our choosing. Unfortunately, the revolution has passed and Red Mango is sitting there as the MySpace of frozen yogurt shops. Not much to choose from, kind of messy, nothing special. I've passed it a few times since my first visit without any hesitation to keep on walking by. I can't say that about many froyo shops. I don't know about other options in the area, but I have hope that they must be better.

I think the complaints about the lack of smoothies is actually a weekend vs weekday thing. On the weekends it seems this place is really hopping all day, and I can attest from being there when smoothies are being made, the smoothie blender is incredibly loud and unpleasant. At the same time, they could communicate better what their smoothie/non-smoothies times are. I had tart frozen yogurt here and it was excellent. I like my tart frozen yogurt quite tart (I don't like how some places try to thread the needle and make their tart frozen yogurt just a little sweet), and Red Mango does a great job of making great froyo. They have a bunch of flavors as well for those who want something beyond the original. They're good at what they do!

  • Haryati S.

The service sucks big time. The cashier was totally not friendly and the place was a little messy and dirty. Instead of serving the guests she was busy on the phone. Did not say hi. Did not provide a friendly respond when we asked about the cup availability. When processing the payment she was grunting and treat our credit card as if it was made of junk. Did not even care to mention the total that we have to pay. Did not even say thank you. If you want to know to it feels like to be mistreated, this is the perfect place to go.

    (1)
  • Tiff W.

Froyo was okay, was a bit more expensive. Would not go out of my way for this place. Not sure if it's good enough to come back. They had taro flavor though

    (3)
  • Anastasia G.

I've been there twice. First time they were out if fresh fruits do I couldn't get strawberry slash with popping boba. Today was my second time and they were out of strawberry popping boba, which they as in this drink. They have just 2 flavors mango and strawberry. I don't really like mango that's why I ordered strawberry... Ok... They didn't have strawberry popping boba... I asked her to make strawberry slash with mango boba, she was confused but she made it))) It was good I liked it. I don't think I need to explain why it's 4 stars)))

  • Albert R.

Really fresh fruit. They seem to change the fruit selection frequently. Good flavor choices. I prefer the tart flavors. Pomegranate is awesome. Great place to drop by after a movie.

    (5)
  • Auriyon J.

The smoothies here are ok. They really use fresh fruit. The yogurt is ok as well, you can definitely tell there arent that many calories in it. This place is never crowded when I come so the service is always quick.

Delicious yogurt in an inviting environment! Stopped here after ikea and it really satisfied my sweet tooth. Fruit was really fresh, and the new owners are very attentive and welcoming. A great treat!!!!

  • Julian I.

Incredibly delicious Yoghurt for pre-Cinema treat! The owner of this shop was incredibly friendly, offered many samples, and made use feel welcome and happy in the shop. The Mango and Peach Yoghurt is spectacular! There are many toppings including fresh fruits and there is indoor/outdoor seating. I really enjoyed coming here, perfect for a date, friends night out, or family. Also great on a hot day or warm evening... Yoghurt is 49 cents per pound which is reasonable and comparable to what you'd find in San Francisco. I will be back! Super fresh and Refreshing!

Sorry were not serving smoothies right now! What the heck? Thats like half the menu! For that it suxs! Hopefully next time I come thru thy have smoothies and I will updte my review!

  • Miquela B.

Just got the mango and white peach yogurt. SOOO FREAKIN GOOD. I topped it passion fruit boba, coconut flakes, granola, animal crackers, and mochi. Trust me it all worked together perfectly!!

    (5)
  • Jenny T.

I love their fruit flavored frozen yogurt, nothing artificial like their cake batter or dessert flavors. I especially like their white peach flavor with fresh fruit toppings and their popping boba! The price is reasonable and I like sampling new flavors, I wished they had a red mango in Sacramento nearby but I used to always come here when I shopped at Bay Street.

    (4)
  • Winnie W.

The passion fruit smoothie I got was too sweet. Also they were out of acai and green tea boosts as well as something else for my friend's drink. They let me get an immunity boost instead. The service was great though.

    (2)
  • Dor H.

Good stuff, the tops for the smoothies suck though. Such a big hole. (That's what she said) but it's like why even have a lid at all? Hope you guys can think twice about them, thanks!

  • Sandy L.

I love that RM is open late so you can grab fro-yo after a movie! I love that my RM frequent purchaser card gives me discounts. I love the huge selection of flavorsa and toppings at RM. I love that there is a RM in the East Bay!

  • Yelena K.

It was hot. And I wanted a soda. Or a SMOOTHIE... mmm even better. So we go in and I'm very confused. Can I just go up to the register? Do I have to wait behind the sea of people sampling all the frozen yogurt then dispensing their frozen yogurt then picking out their toppings for their frozen yogurt then putting their toppings on their yogurt? I just wanted a smoothie, but I didn't want to invite any sort of bad froyo juju by inadvertently "cutting" the frozen yogurt line, so I stood in the weird, incoherent throng and waited to order my smoothie. We ordered a Tropical Pineapple and a Tropical Mango, but received two pineapple. It took a long time to get our smoothies in the first place and we don't like making a big deal... it's just a smoothie after all... so we didn't say anything. So not only were our smoothies not what we ordered, but they were icy and tasted mostly of watered down banana, not pineapple. My fiance's cup was handed to him slathered with smoothie and was just gross to hold. Y'all heard of a napkin? We drank about half and threw the rest out. C'mon, guys, it's a smoothie! It's a luxury item -- it should be a happy occasion to get a smoothie, not a painful ordeal.

  • Alec S.

Liked this place a lot. The prices are better than other places and the flavors tasted great. The customer service was really friendly and the yogurt dispensers are cleaned very quickly. The entire store is really clean and I had a really good time. Besides just yogurt they also provide smoothies.

    (5)
  • Lea T.

Very limited topping selection and not so friendly guy working there. Froyo flavors were boring and not that great. What the heck happened to all the ice cream places?

It's nice that there is finally a yogurt place in Bay Street. If you want something lighter than cupcakes, this is the place to go! Ambiance: I like the inside of this particular location! It's spacious, renovated, and a great place to sit while you eat your yogurt. Service: Pretty good service, nothing to complain about because all the lady really did was ring up my order total. But she was courteous and asked me if I wanted samples when I came in. Yogurt: My favorite and only flavor I get here is the original tart. They always do a good job of making sure that their yogurt is a good mixture of creamy and tart, which a lot of frozen yogurt places can't do. However, what I didn't really like were their toppings. The fruits weren't fresh at all and they had no variety the day I came in, which is why I docked one star. The other star I docked because the other flavors are really not very tasty. I had a taste of my friends cheesecake which was so ridiculously sweet and the red velvet tasted extremely artificial. Not a fan of anything there but the plain tart, which makes it kind of limited in the customers that they are serving. Verdict: I'd still stop by occasionally for a cup of their plain tart.

Let me start of by saying that I am HUGE addict to frozen yogurt & I have tried a couple of places for frozen yogurt - & I do have a favorite spot. Even though this is not my #1 spot, my boyfriend and I were in all the mall and decided to try this place at. I think this place use to be a Coldstone? (unless it is were T-mobile is now) . The place is a decent size area, with a couple of places to eat, inside and out - which is nice on those nice days. They had a decent amount of flavors and there weren't that many people. They also give out free samples which is cool. Never been to a yogurt place that offers this so that is definitively a plus! Within minutes the place got crowded, lucky we were able to check out before the rush hit. They have plenty of toppings and syrups to choose from and then even had boboa! Which tasted awesome! They also can make shakes and stuff if you aren't into the yogurt in a cup thing or want to eat yogurt in full form and not in a melted form. Good place over all, the staff were really nice and helpful. If in the area again, I will be back! :)

So I came here for the first time and the smoothies were decent, however I did meet an absolutely awful employee named Sabrina. Young possibly high school girl with some of the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. Let me paint a picture... I walk in and there is like one customer already served. Sabrina is standing at the register staring off into space, I stand in front of her and it takes about 30 seconds of blank stare before she slowly turns her head to look at my direction. At that point, no hello or can I help you. She looks at me with a very annoyed look like "how dare you interrupt my doing absolutely nothing productive time, to spend your pocket full of cash here" at that point I tell her what I want. What happens next you ask? She spits her gum out and rolls her eyes. Sigh...why do people like this get hired in customer service. She needs to get a job in a warehouse or labor where she doesn't have to interact with many other human beings. I am not a violent person by any means, but this was a very rare occasion where I wanted to kick a girl right in the vagina!

  • Kathryn L.

It's okay, nothing remarkable or special...except that the 2 gals working when we came in were very attentive, ready to help with free samples, and were constantly cleaning and tidying up. We tried the white peach, mango, and pina colada...pina colada wins. The variety of toppings isn't anything different than most froyo places in Dublin, but I did enjoy the fresh (not canned), very sweet pineapple and how the fruit toppings were icy cold to maintain freshness. Annoyingly loud wannabe R.Kelly singing on stage outside is so not their fault.

  • Lia P.

Yummy yummy in my tummy! Everyone who knows me knows that I LOVE froyo! I didnt know this place existed until I went shopping on Baystreet. See my husband and I enjoy going to AMC but we never noticed Red Mango when we get a bite to eat before the movies. Yes your typical self-serve frozen yogurt eatery however Red Mango has great flavors and great toppings. This will be our new place to stop before we watch a show!

    (5)
  • Kristy K.

The only Red Mango in the state of California! The set up is the same as other yogurt places, choose your yogurt flavors (you have the choice of making a yogurt or parfait) and your toppings and you pay by weight. They also sell smoothies and other things. I especially like the White Peach flavor and probably will get some yogurt every trip I make to Emeryville. Don't forget to sign up for the Red Mango membership since they give you free $5 for signing up and also $5 after you rack up 500 points.

  • Patricia V.

Self service yogurt bar that offers about 9 different flavors. You can ask for samples. I tried the pina colada, banana and chocolate. I went with the chocolate and topped it with light coconut, strawberries and crushed Heath candy bar. Yum, yum good deliciousness. They charge $0.45 per pound so the price of your serving can quickly add up. The price is posted on the wall but it actually doe help to know what they charge before you get to the register. One of the employees was constantly cleaning up spills in the candy/fruit bar so it stayed clean and sharp looking. Very nice!

Red Mango has reinvented itself. no longer does it feature tart flavors as it's best offering. (pomegrante). now it's "classic" or back to basics flavors . red mango has positioned itself as the natural version yogurtland and tutti frutti. .smoothies also available. froyo availability: -original -white peach: taste like real white peach -lemonade: sweet tasting -pomegrante -carribbean coconut: coconut taste -mango: didn't taste mango-ish -strawberry (classic) -milk chocolate (classic):delicate taste -cake batter(classic) -vanilla bean(classic): sweet pricing: self serve,.45 cents @ounce froyo & toppings, 20 dry toppings of candies, nuts, cereals, ...12 wet toppings of fruits, yogurt poppers, 6 toppings of crumbled cookies, yogurt chips, etc. frodrips: -taylor froyo dispeners, 2 sizes customized red mango laminated cups. -froyo texture smooth, melts easily -red mango may be making a comeback with it's reinvention. (noticed tart froyo vendors are disappearing, i.e. tuttimelon, red mango, pinkberry hanging on.). -wacky wabbit wating: barely 4 stars. mikey not totally impressed. cashiers cuter and more friendly now (a plus). -location near theatre.

Really happy about Red Mango not being closed for good. I used to frequent the south bay locations until they closed down. When I heard Red Mango was taking the place of Cold Stone, I couldn't be happier! They did make a few changes though, it is now self serve and a bit pricey at .45 cents per ounce. But the original tart here is PERFECT, smooth and creamy with just the right balance of tart and creaminess. They also have other flavors available such as Mango, Peach, in addition to 4-5 others. The toppings are great and include Mochi's, fresh fruit, fruity pebbles and the bursting boba balls. I am still sad that they no longer carry the Green Tea flavor which was my favorite and Pink Berry was the only other Fro-Yo place to have it but unfortunately, also got rid of it. People we are in the BAY AREA where we like our green tea so quite bursting other people's bubbles and forcing companies to "accomodate" you..if you don't like a flavor ya don't have to eat it but DON'T mess with my green tea! Anyway, I have been here twice and currently reside in Emeryville (not for long though) but am definitely not crazy enough to travel around to every new fro-yo place that opens up, especially if you had to pay gas and toll...luckily, I'm glad it doesn't cost me anything to get to Bay St. right now, since I can just walk there. Overall, I would say Red Mango still has the ORIGINAL tastiest Tart (they were actually around before Pink Berry) and aside from not having my green tea and taro flavor, is still one of my TOP rated spots for frozen yogurt. :)

  • Daryl K.

Pretty good flavored yogurt! We got the chocolate and white chocolate yogurt. The place is a nice spot in the shopping plaza on bay street. The workers here are very nice and keep the place very clean. A- rating for Red Mango.

It didn't know this place existence until I saw someone with cup and I decide to look for Red Mango. The place was really clean and great place to sit. I had the Mandarin Mango and it was good but I knew it was sweeten with Stevia or Sweet low. I looked on the website and sure enough they added a sweeter. It disappointed me a little but I understand. I would go back for another.

So today I went to take a class at the Apple store. It was early and the store wasn't open yet so decided to kill some time. I noticed the Coldstone Creamery had gone out of business and was replaced by a Red Mango. I'm not crying any tears at the loss of Coldstone Creamery because their ice cream was gross. In the window of Red Mango was a poster that advertised apple pie froyo and it really looked yummy. This really peaked my interest. It was too early for them to be open so I figured after my class I would come by and have an apple pie flavored froyo. Alas I was in for a whole truckload of disappointment. When I returned I didn't see any apple pie flavor at all. I asked the girl behind the counter and she said they haven't carried that flavor in months. I then asked her why they have a poster in the window advertising apple pie froyo specifically if they don't carry it. I told her I came in specifically because of that poster and why advertise something in the window that they don't have. I told her she should take it down. She said the manager refuses to take it down because he likes it. WHAT?! Why would he advertise something that he doesn't sell? I told her to tell him that a customer came in here specifically because of the apple pie froyo advertised and when I found out there was no apple pie flavor to be had and there hasn't been for quite some time that I was so disappointed and pissed off that I didn't buy anything at all. Not only did he lose a purchase that day but I will not return and so he's lost a customer. By advertising a product that he knows he does not offer I felt lied to. There are many other froyo places around. If you have a hankering for something sweet may I recommend the Teacake Bake Shop next door. They have never let me down.

  • Asa R.

The original yogurt (tart yogurt) was great. I don't want the flavored stuff or tons of toppings. Give me good tart yogurt and I'm a happy camper. It's pretty easy to have good quality items and a clean store and Red Mango achieves this. I like their location in the mall and that they are open later too. I'd recommend Red Mango!

    (4)
  • Lisa N.

49 CENTS/OUNCE?! That is crazy expensive. The yogurt here isn't even that good. I came here because I used to love the Red Mango in Cupertino, before it closed down. The yogurt was the best compared to the other froyo places in my area (Yogurtland, Pinkberry, Tutti Frutti, Tartini...we had at least 10 within a 5 mile radius. Oh Cupertino.) Came here for a sample but it tasted completely different than the Red Mango in Cupertino. It was way too icy and the original flavor tasted kind of funny. Didn't even bother getting a cup because it wasn't even good. I don't think I would even pay for it if it was 35 cents an ounce. Go to Yogurtland if you want better tasting yogurt at a cheaper price.

    (1)
  • Priscilla H.

there's a red mango mango, back back, in in Cali Cali!!! So many flavors, toppings and sweet creations you can make. The cashiers are super sweet and helpful. It's a little pricey at 45 cents/oz compared to all the froyo shops in Oakland, but the quality is top notch. Fresh fruit, thick yogurt, and a tidy toppings table. A great addition to the mall.

  • Angela L.

I had high expectations going into Red Mango, as I heard it is better than Pinkberry (basically the best original tart ever). However, I was surprised that it was self-serve and the workers were less than friendly. We asked for sample cups and they gave us one each. The flavors sound promising (strawberry cheesecake, red velvet, pomegranate) but all were disappointing. The original tart does not hold a candle to Pinkberry's. The only topping worth mentioning was the mango which was sweet and fresh. The price (~$0.49/ oz.) is also outrageous for the quality and service. Will not be returning, despite the great location.

Unable to leave zero stars so was forced to leave one star. Was not impressed and service was lacking.

    (1)
  • Esther Y.

I'm so happy there's a Red Mango here now! Red Mango is usually not self-serve, but this location is. It's the priciest self-serve froyo you'll ever have at 49c/oz but there's always all these rewards and free points for signing up on their website, etc, so that definitely makes it worth it. They have a huge parfait-size too in a clear cup which allows you to show off your beautiful creation (that will probably be at least $7...haha). :)

  • Christina M.

Tastes great, good flavors and toppings, but the service is horrible! Last night we were basically asked to leave at 9:55 when they were supposed to be open until 10:00. Most of the time when we go at night, they close earlier than the posted time. It's disappointing that there isn't a better frozen yogurt place on Bay Street.

    (2)
  • Chris L.

This is a self-serve Red Mango, which is unlike the original. The yogurt doesn't taste as good as it used to and it's overpriced. I would rather go to Pinkberry or Yogurtland.

    (1)
  • Sam R.

Terrible customer service. Extremely slow. They forgot the order of the customer before me, the cashier ran out of $1 bills, the other guy who made smoothies showed up late, AND smoothie guy didn't wash his hands before making smoothies. What a waste of money. It literally took 20 min to make a smoothie. PLEASE AVOID FOUR YOUR OWN SANITY.

    (1)
  • Antonella D.

SO GOOD!!!! It is at the Bay Street outside mall. I love the fact that you can make a parfait with the cups. The inside is very clean and the staff is nice. It is a self serve yogurt joint with fresh toppings. I have been to some places that the fruit is still frozen but the fruit here is fresh and yummy. They also have a frequent buyer card that after you get so many you get one free!

    (5)
  • Heather L.

Hands down the best frozen yogurt available. Flavor profiles are delicious and not overdone. They have multiple fruit flavors to choose from which change with the seasons. Everything is all natural. Peach during the Summer was my favorite and now they are making a winter melon that is unbelievable. You need to try this place!

    (5)
  • Jana C.

So cool one opened up around May. Cared for some, n some tasted artificial. They're generous with the sample cuppies. Think it was upper 40 something cents/ounce? Just glad there is one in EB now!

    (4)
  • Kevin L.

Run of your mill frozen yogurt place. the "unique" flavors are missing, they have all your basics though like strawberry, vanilla, etc. The downside is that it is a bit more pricey than other places, but just a few more cents per ounce. Decor looks exactly like other places. Toppings are really similar to other place, nothing special. Overall, very average, if it's convenient, go there, if not, I would go somewhere cheaper

Good quality yogurt, try the white peach! (Giggidy) Cute redhead girl, delicious white peach, can't get better than that!

  • Diane N.

I came a cross this place after stopping by Barnes Noble for a school textbook. I was quite surprise as to how their yogurt taste! I tried their mango and I believe it was peach, I don't quite remember but I had a combination of these two sweet flavored and top it off with a variety of different fruits. The yogurt itself was delicious! And the fruits made it extremely better! I am looking forward to coming back here to try out more flavors. The only thing that I did not like was the customer service. The workers looked like they don't care whether there was customers or not. At least try to look excited...

    (4)
  • Ryan M.

I'm trying their "nutty potion" with Nutella and banana inside. There's other stuff in it but it's really good! My friend got their "mango mandarin" and that's pretty good too. The smoothies don't have one taste that overwhelms everything. You can actually taste the ingredients, which I love. I'm coming back for sure next time I come to Bay Street.

It was the birthday treat for the 39 yr old in our group. I have enjoyed Red Mango in CA, WA, UT & AZ. The Emeryville location was my first experience with 'self serve' Red Mango. I liked it! 6 flavors were offered, many toppings and sauces. My Original flavor with chocolate and peanut butter topped with cookie dough and sprinkles was refreshing and tasty. Stop by the Emeryville store, but if parking in the structure, be sure to pay for parking 24/7.

Great customer service here. The cashier actually greeted me when I walked in! He was very friendly and nice. The yoghurt was good. I got the mango, pineapple and vanilla. I really liked the vanilla. I ended up getting a chocolate and raspberry topping.

Just the right amount of sweetness and tart Very refreshing Price is tad on the expensive side, but on the same page as with any other froyo place

Went there again yesterday. Was almost through my second fully stacked up cup of yogurt with toppings when I saw an employee go into the bathroom, with the door open and close the toilet seat, flush it and walk out without washing his hands. I thought maybe he would go behind the counter and wash his hands, but nope, he was back there working the register, helping customers, scratching his face etc. GROSS!

I tried Red Mango with much excitement. I couldn't wait to experience it locally after eating it at Chicago's Midway Airport. I tried tart, coconut, and mango. I liked mango the best, but wanted to like tart, since its creaminess in Chicago had wowed me. It didn't wow me here. Alas, I must take my fro yo appetite elsewhere.

YUM! The quality of the fruit/toppings and the yogurt is very fresh. you can taste it.. it is pricier than a yogurt land but you get what you pay for. We enjoyed it. We were spending the day in the area shopping & watching a movie so afterwards on a warm day it was nice to have yogurt.

I'm glad there's finally a frozen yogurt place in town and I'm super impressed with the cleanliness of this place, even during their busy times. I've been to so many frozen yogurt places and it's disgusting how unsanitary they are, but Red Mango is pretty immaculate. All the fixins are always neat, no spillage, someone periodically cleaning the machines. The product and toppings are always fresh. The only thing is it's expensive! I seriously feel ripped off after coming out of here.

I was excited to see this place at Bay Street until I found out they don't cater to customers with special diets. They do not have any sugar-free yogurt! So disappointing!

I love Red Mango. It is my absolute favorite frozen yogurt place. Their toppings are much fresher than Yogurtland or Tutti Frutti, and their frozen yogurt flavors are delectable. I also love that they give you choices and suggest what to put in your yogurt. For example, they tell you what to put in a cup to make a parfait. They had peanut butter chocolate and birthday cake last time I went, which were both delicious. What makes this place even better is the atmosphere. The inside of this store is cheery, classy, and a nice place to meet friends. The only thing is that it is a little more expensive than other yogurt places.

Raised the price to $0.49 an ounce! Most expensive I've seen in the Bay Area...

You know what happened to really good, quality froyo? It got suckered into a highly comercialized, gimmicky market where toppings are a must. Red Mango hands down use to be just the BEST yogurt around. Creamy, tart. True yogurt-ty taste. Then the likes of Pinkberry, Yogurtland, etc started to change the business model to what we currently know as the fro-yo business. I am esctatic on Red Mango's return to the Bay Area. They are the real deal. And, its yogurt truly tastes better than any other around. If you want REAL yogurt, go to Red Mango.

Limited flavor selection at this location but it hits the spot when you need a quick fix.

Have tried this Red Mango location 3 times, each worse then the last. My biggest issues with this place: 1) They have a terrible selection of flavors, tonight it was: White Chocolate Spicy Aztec Chocolate Plain Mint Chocolate Peach Mango some Nut flavor This is the best selection they have had, and out of 7 flavors, 3 were chocolate? 2) The yogurt is not very good I tried 4 of these flavors, none I would say I enjoyed, 2 that I would say were passable and 2 that were not good (not gross, but I wasn't going for another bite). the Nut flavor (passable) came out like baby diarrhea.... not quite appetizing. 3) the service sucks All three visits, there has only been one person "working." Tonight it took the poor girl a solid 8-10 minutes to make a smoothie.... This place is literally minutes from my place, but after these three quite underwhelming experiences I will bite the bullet and drive up to Berkeley and hit one of the Yogurtland's there.

I've heard about Red Mango from my SoCal friends but this is the first NorCal location I have ever seen. I am a huge fan of yogurt so naturally my friend and I had to check this place out. There are tons of interesting yogurt flavors to choose from (Nutty Potion #9 with Nutella - YUM!!) and a huge array of self-service toppings. The toppings are pretty status quo... nothing extraordinary other than the mango and strawberry boba. Overall 3.5 for a good yogurt place at Bay Street but not extraordinary.

I was sad when the Red Mango in Palo Alto closed. I've been meaning to try Red Mango in its new location ever since I learned about its opening in Emeryville. Red Mango did not used to be self-serve and I was curious to see if Red Mango would compromise their quality if they became self-serve. Anddd you know what?? THEY DID! The original flavor and white peach is not as good as it used to be!! I did however enjoy their green tea. Their prices are ridiculous...almost 50cents/ounce. I've never seen self-serve yogurt that expensive before. If the quality was a lot better, then I wouldn't mind paying the price. They have a really clean environment and there's someone to help you sample the flavors (to prevent people from simply freeloading...I guess) They were really nice about it though!

This place is kind of pricy but it was SO WORTH IT ! I love the self serve service. Customer service was good. The frozen yogurt was the best I've had in a long time !. You have got to try the mango and peach. D E L I C I O U S !!

The yogurt is pretty yummy but the employees were not friendly, pretty rude & didn't even smile. I went there twice within the month & both times it was the same attitude. But the yogurt itself was good!

YUM! Finally a fro-yo place in Emeryville. At first upon walking in I was super disappointed there wasn't any taro-flavor; but the quality of the yogurt is so good I'm willing to overlook it. The original is a perfect balance of tart/sweet/creamy, and the white peach and mango were juicy-delicious, if not a little on the sweeter side. The fruits were fresh, clean and tasty. And they have mini boba pearls here I've never tried anywhere else; original and perfect with the cold fro-yo. Inside is really clean, staff is friendly and passing out sample cups without hesitation. 45 cents an ounce is a bit much but worth it.

I come here for the yogurt when I'm in the area, and it's great. The only thing I want to mention is that this franchise doesn't always participate in those special promotions that I get in the mail (I guess I subscribed to a newsletter at some point). I found that out by making a special trip to Bay Street because I'd gotten an email notice that day. If you go because of a promotion, you might feel like you've been had. But the yogurt is yummy, so if you aren't expecting a discount, you won't be disappointed.

been to a lot of self-serve froyo places in the last few years and they rely mostly on having good toppings and adequate flavors of froyo. this place has adequate toppings, but the froyo itself is lacking. i had strawberry, vanilla and chocolate and none of them were very good. the gf had the tart flavor and liked it.

Love the smoothies and yogurt, but the service is up and down. We go almost everyday and sometimes the smoothies are off, sometimes they're not filled all the way to the top (which is really annoying), and sometimes the staff are overwhelmed. They are new and friendly, so hopefully it will come together better soon. Also, the Mango card program needs work. Came in multiple times and didn't get credit- boohoo! But worth all the hassles for the product. Love probiotic yogurt!
