My mom talked me into coming here. I think she just wanted me to drive so she could have Long Island Iced Teas. She talked me into it. She also talked me into the Ahi Tuna. Chain restaurants that have been known in the past to use old food, is not a place Id eat raw fish. But dammit, she talked me into it and quite frankly it was pretty good. We only had apps pretty much. The Global App Sampler is a perfect meal to split for two. Especially if one of you is downing cocktails like Dean Martin. It comes with an Italian like Bruchetta, Coconut Shrimp, Guacamole & Chips and Chicken Tenders. My son loved the Chicken Tenders and Guacamole. I liked the Coconut Shrimp. Its all your usual fried foods. Topping it off was a sampling of the Wok Fried Chicken Lettuce Wraps. Lettuce Wrap! Lettuce Wrap! (If you get that extremely obscure joke you will win a prize from me.) You really cant go wrong with the Lettuce Wraps. If you have a little eater the Chicken is perfect for them to eat with their hands. He loved it as did I. Mom downed about 3 Long Islands and I had a carbo-coma going on. We went home and took a nap. I would never choose to come here on my own but when big momma is thirsty and hungry Ill let it slide.

Quite possibly one of the worst meals and dining experiences I have EVER had. I've been to other Elephant Bars several times and always thought it was pretty good, but this time I was beyond disappointed. First, we were seated and had to wait for our waitress to come over for about 15 minutes before she would take our drink order. It was busy and lunch time - so we didn't think it was a big deal. Then after taking our order, I asked the waitress if we could have the check right away because we were headed to a meeting after lunch. We waited and watched all of the tables around us get their food and wondered where ours could possibly be. No one came to check on us and we had to stop a buser to ask for more lemons for our water. We waited and waited for about half an hour thinking "Where could or food be?" and "How could salads possibly take a half an hour?" Our salads finally came and my $15 salad was literally a piece of salmon on top of an ENTIRE bag of iceburg lettuce with some canned green beans on the side. The salmon was completely overcooked, the salad was swimming in dressing, and I couldn't even eat the canned green beans. I will NEVER eat at Elephant Bar again. Our lunch was over $60 and we were hardly able to eat any of our food, what a waste!

Yes if you are hungry.. you'll leave full. Too full. So if you have an appetite for large portions of cheap food served in a rush by somebody that wants to sell you even more food. This is your place. Not mine. Just a last bit of advice, prepare yourself for what is going to come next in the privacy of you home... and make sure you bring a few magazines or even better a book with you and pray it ends soon.

The MATRIX: Good business model, flavorless products. Portions were pretty big, so we stuffed ourselves with uninspiring food that strives to be a step above the gruel served on-board the Nebuchadnezzar. Did I just make an analogy to post-apocalyptic food? The MATRIX pt 2+3: Definitely have an interesting menu here at EB and I can't hate them for making an effort. Our host and server were cordial and attentive. The decor was festive and they have social media marketing on lock, but make no mistake, this is a place that serves food and drink. The Southern Chicken Salad was probably the only highlight of the night: an interesting mix (lettuce, tortilla chips, cilantro dressing & BBQ sauce) that brings crispy layers and unexpected zest together in one dish. Pretty creative! As for the so called "Wok-fired" dishes, the Garlic Noodles were limpy, the sauce was watery, and shiitake mushrooms were rubbery. The lamb shank was tender, but bland and don't bother ask me about the Philly Cheesesteak... I don't even remember what it tasted like. At a theme park, sure, poorly executed food is understandable, but I would expect better food from a themed restaurant.

The service is so incredibly slow especially for food that isn't even that good. One time when I went there, there were only 6 other people and yet it still took close to 40 minutes to receive my food. Do not recommend!

The manager Daniel is the bomb! The patrons were obnoxious but hey, that isn't the staffs fault. He was super nice and continued to check on us. I'd go back!

Three of us visited on 4/5/14, mid-afternoon. Our waitress was Morgan and a couple other people also served us. Morgan was friendly, efficient and thoughtful. I had wished she (or another staff member) had come by the table to check on our dinner after we had been served. However, overall, the service was good. We had Moroccan tri-tip. It was extremely tough. We were later told that the meat gets that way when it is over-cooked. If we had been told that earlier in the meal, we could have sent it back rather than struggle to eat it. We also had orange peel chicken that was very good. The third person had Kona BBQ ribs with fries. It was delicious. Adding a couple more ribs to the plate would have made it even better.

Really enjoyed food and the service was good. I would have given 4 stars if my silverware weren't dirty (chunks of food stuck on) LOVED the BBQ chicken flatbread - amazing flavor combinations, not at all what we expected. It reminded my husband of a "pizza" he used to get in India. We also had the Thai High Spicy Chicken Stir Fry with "Fried" Brown Rice. (Our server tells us the fried rice is actually made in the steamer). The chicken is moist and flavorful, plenty of sauce. The rice is well-cooked, moist without being mushy. We unfortunately decided to get the dessert sampler also. We were very unimpressed. The creme brûlée was cold. The brownie was overcooked. The wonton didn't have the caramel fudge as advertised. Definitely not worth $9, nor was it worth the calories. The highlight of the sampler for me was the cinnamon sugar wonton, my husband liked the (plain vanilla) ice cream best. But the entrees were really good, so overall we had a good experience :)

I only visited the bar area but that has left me wanting to come back and sit in the dining area and indulge in the full fare. Came here with Candace G for a cocktail and app. She tried the Habanero Margarita and I tried the French Pear. Both were Delicious but we both thought the spicy Margarita was the best. The baked garlic bread buttery and garlicky. Yum Yum! So much for staying away from carbs! We both loved the interior of the bar area and how calm and soothing it seemed. There were three TVs scattered throughout so I could imagine that peace shattered on a game day. Staff was very friendly. Maybe on next visit we'll sit in the bar again and have dinner instead.

One word... yuk. Ok, more than one word... Tastes like everything is out of a can, or previously frozen. Drinks are bar tending basics. But if you know Elephant Bar and that's how you roll, you'll love it.

Good hide out! Circular Bar with many people to meet and still kind of conceal where you are. Great place to meet a friend . All about place . Only OK food .

Well, my wife and I are torn on this review. I would leave 4 stars and she would leave 2. So we compromise and meet in the middle for 3. Service was ok so nothing to Yelp about there. We got our drinks, we drank our drinks, and we got more drinks. Only tie up was when we needed napkins -- we had to ask. Not a big deal. We went for happy hour and got some of the happy hour stuff. My wife got the Mac n' Cheese and Garlic Bread and I got the Big E burger and Fried Shrimp. I got a Budweiser (I still spell that to the frongs chanting Bud - wei - ser) to drink and she got the Sangria. Ok -- the two star part. The Mac and Cheese was not that good. The cheese was not really melty and it looked like someone had thrown some bread crumbs on top (nothing special). The garlic bread was ok but the cold marinara sauce was not good at all. Now for the four star part -- The sangria was awesome (probably 6 stars). The burger was cooked the way I wanted and was juicy good. The fried shrimp were pretty good too. And the prices were great --- less than 40 bucks for everything (doubled up on drinks). We had a good time and will most likely go back. If you are out, are a little dressed up, and want something pretty good, this is a good place to go.

I was tempted to give one star, based on how the three times I have visited this restaurant they have managed to burn my food. However, the servers have been friendly enough to make up somewhat for the food. And.. they get my Diet Coke right by bringing the lemon WITH it. Generally, I would say, "Go somewhere else", but if you're meeting friends there because that's where they want to eat, then get something that can't be burned (like soup, maybe), and don't bother with the Lemon Garlic Chicken: It will always be burned and you won't recognize any of the vegetables -- they are BITTER. I guess I am a little bitter, too, now that I re-read this review!

I've only been here for happy hours. Food is okay (my fav is minced chicken wrap - not sure if that's the name on the menu) .... but their house margarita is very cheap and delish!!! Also, bloody marry is good one to try as well! Oh! btw - i LOVE the fact that this place has Sriracha Sauce... bc I am OBSESSED!

I suggest ONLY coming here for happy hour. Their drinks are priced well and their fries are to dye for. I dont suggest ordering any entrees..because every time I come here it just doesn't come out right. I would say desserts, drinks and happy hour anything is their positive. The bar area is nice and the bar tenders are ALWAYS attentive which is what I love.

The happy hour is a bargain with tasty appetizers and inexpensive drinks. Regular dining is where they are lacking. While service is great, the food is very average.

Never again. NEVER again. I had not been to Elephant Bar for years until the other night and was excited to return. This is one restaurant that I always said was part of a chain but fine to eat at, always dependable. NOT. Our dinner was a disaster from the beginning. The service, the food, the fact that our plates were left on the table at the end of the meal without even being questioned or acknowledged -- it was all too much. Or actually, too little.

The food was good as was the server, but had the displeasure of meeting the manager or was it the general manager? Well anyway he reminded me of a summer's eve product, the only way to describe him is a conceited pompous ass that ruined the experience.

Went here to treat one of the kiddos in my life and we had a great time. The service was great and the atmosphere was enjoyable. I got a shrimp dish that I can't remember the name of but it was great! I think it was the sweet and spicy shrimp, but not sure. Anyways, it was shrimp with veggies with a side of rice. I was actually amazed at home many shrimp were served. Plus the combination of veggies with it were great. Nice with enough crunch left to make sure you knew they were veggies. I rice was standard white rice but they have a brown rice option. The kiddo got a kids meal burger and I thought the options for it were great. She got fries, drink and a kids sundae included! I got a mini indulgence wonton sundae. It was a little blah, but I think that's just because I have a higher expectation of my ice cream. The stuff they used had too many ice chips in the ice cream and was a pretty bland vanilla flavor. All in all the service was great, the food was great with exception of the ice cream and I would recommend the place.

Me and my daughter went there last night, We were sat quickly, great, and our server came over and took our order, great, and 4 minutes later our food was there?? I am allways suspicious of food done way too fast? I was asked white or fried rice? I chose fried, never told it was $2.00 xtra? My corn was cold and the ribs you could tell were sitting under heat for a while! The meat fell off the bone just picking them up. My daughter had the teriyaki chicken salad and it definately was not treiyaki just grilled. I'm done!

This is the go to place that I visit whenever Im in Dublin area for happy hour. You simply cant beat their pricing and menu at happy hour since a lotta the stuff is half off...come on.. seriously? Why dont you just order...EVERYTHING on their. Throw in some drinks and its just a good recipe for fun! I think its great because the people are very welcoming on the chances that Ive been. The service is fast and they seem cheery. Definitely will come back whenever I have the chance.

Friday night on my way to Elephant Bar, I passed a number of fast food places but was looking forward to something more relaxing and decent. I have been to this Dublin location a number of times but I can tell you that things have changed for worse; To begin, once we ordered the Appetizer, the waitress insisted to take the order for Entrée at the same time (Bad decision); They delivered everything and dropped it on our table the same time; I pushed back and asked them to take the dinner back since we were not ready. Seared Ahi was the worst Dinner Salad I ever had; Absolutely no taste and there was no dressing on the salad. Bagged Green that I buy in Supermarket is more tasty; The Ahi looked supper tiny and tasteless; My wife had the Tri-Tip Grill.....Side grilled Peppers were so mushy (I think someone forgot to teach the Chef that don't steam grilled veggie as they get mushy) that I could not even touch them. Unless they make some serious changes, this place is off of my list of Good Eats; On the way back home, I passed the same fast food places and wished I had stopped there.

I had made reservations at another restaurant for my birthday dinner, but they had over booked their reservations. My friend suggested Elephant Bar, I called them up and they said that it would be a 40 minute wait. It was better than the 2 hour wait at the restaurant I had made reservations at, so we headed over there. When we got there and checked in, the hostess said that they were cleaning off our table. Awesome, it had been like ten minutes and we were already being seated. Our waiter was really nice, but the service took a little long. Everyone in my group liked their food. We ordered some yummy drinks to get the night started. The first time I went here, I didn't like what I had ordered and hadn't been back since. I loved what I ordered this time and frequent the restaurant more often now.

This was my first time trying this place, moved to the area few years back, my wife and I finally decided to give it a try, the food is great, service was exceptional, they accommodated out every need and were more than welcoming! Came here for Happy Hour yesterday. Sat at the bar and had the shaggy haired bartender make me whatever he thought he made the best- turns out it was a Long Beach and it was SO Yummy. (Like a long island but no coke and add fruit and cranberry) Ordered some Buffalo Chicken Tenders and Fries which were also satisfying and chit chatted with the bartender some more who was super knowledgeable and nice. Normally I dislike my waiters here so I was glad to see how well trained the bartender was.

Overall 4.25S Food: 4S Service: 5S Ambiance: 4.5S Disclaimer: I am not a big fan of chains/franchises. On that note, this is near the top of the chains that I do go to. I don't know how this franchise got it's name but it's an unforgettable one. I've been to this location and the one in Emeryville. The service and ambiance of this location blows the Emeryville one out of the water. Happy Hour Favs: 1) Artichoke Dip 2) Wok-Fried Chicken Wrap 3) Coconut Shrimp Skewers Happy Hour Fav Drinks: Everything! I honestly mix up every thing, I don't like drinking anything twice in-a-row or in one night, haha. The drinks are well mixed! and the prices is SUPER WELL PRICED! Yes, this is how a man does it! I was with there with my friend Dustin and brother Lee for happy hour last Friday and the new manager Bryan came out to randomly check on us, maybe because we were a bit on the energetic side. We chatted up a bit and he was one cool guy. That was a first at a chain/franchise for me. For that moment, it made me feel like it wasn't. My friend Bao loves Elephant Bar's Happy Hour. If he could live here, he would. I, actually think he does in the back Alley some evenings, haha. Overall, great place for good Happy Hour food and drinks.

Happy Hour is the best part about this place. Food..is ehh to mediocre. On weekdays, happy hour til midnight is awesome for discounted drinks and food. I've ordered: - the chicken lettuce wraps which were incredibly salty! Please..don't use so much soy sauce! Portion was small to medium size and not filling for dinner entree. -sweet potato fries- nice portion during happy hour. 2 dipping sauces. about average. -bruschetta- pretty good and nice portion size -coconut shrimp appetizer- fried too long..too crunchy and what was I supposed to do with that lettuce and strips of cucumber? Didn't go well with dried crisp shrimp, that's what. Dipping sauce too much ginger which was incredibly overpowering.

I always find EB's dinner to be good food and good value. Favorites: Lamb Shank, Ahi tuna anything, 3-cheese Mac N Cheese Appetizer... yum Service is hit and miss -- sometimes they'e great and attentive. other times, they're like wearing roller blades and just zooms by without noticing or helping you. Always kids friendly too.

I've always been a fan of Ebar. This new location is even better! They have a new "Global" menu and new ways of service. I particularly like the sample soup that comes while you order. The day we came it was Cream of Asparagus. Delish! I enjoyed my seared Ahi Tuna to the max and the rest of my party enjoyed their meals. Looking forward to more visits here, HappyHour after work, here we come!

The food and service has never disappointed at this location. We either have business lunches or special occasion dinner there (slightly too pricey for a weekly meal). There are always plenty of options for all of our diners, and the managers always take time to check up and ensure the meals are to our liking. The fish and wok dishes are very good and the bar menu (especially at happy hour) is one of the better offerings in the Tri Valley. Plus there is plenty of parking available. A solid meal every time.

Lunch Review: Lettuce Wraps Quick Seared Ahi Tuna Salad The lettuce wraps came with enough meat and lettuce to make about 6 or so. I would say its different from PF Changs, but worth ordering this as a appetizer. The salad was a mix for me, the arugula made the salad a bit too bitter. The dressing was alright. The salad just didn't taste well, the flavors weren't balanced or mended well. My coworkers had some something on the lighter side as well and didn't think much of the meal. They left disappointed and so was I.

Good food, terrible service. Our appetizer never got put in, so it ended up coming after the main course. No offer of making it free since they screwed up. Then when we were done with the meal our waitress disappeared for 20 minutes.

Not too shabby for Happy Hour. Get some drinks and appetizers for under $8. Another one of those Modern American world fusion chains. Or what I like to call "Safe dinning" a place you can take a party of picky people and everyone could find something to order on the menu but still feel adventurous. I really like that you can sample the soup. That said, don't get the Thai Chicken soup. It's like Chicken noodle with a bit of watered down coconut milk. I'll stick to Bangkok 101 for my Thai food. The Calamari, although tender, didn't have the crunch that I like. Lettuce Wraps with marinated chicken is my favorite. Get the Ahi Tuna salad. It's savory sweet and a good portion. The Ginger Green Tea Spritzer is perfectly refreshing.

Last night I went there with some friends for dinner. The service was great! Our waitress and host were very friendly and helpful, but the food was pretty average. Two of my friends ordered the Santa Barbara Burger with fries. The burger was good, but they barely gave them any fries. It was about a half a cup of fries. My friend asked our waiter if she could have more since they gave her close to none and they brought out another plate with more fries. So that was nice. Someone else in our group ordered Chicken Terriaki. Overall it was good, but the rice was very dry. The food was pretty average, nothing special. I'm not planning on heading back anytime soon though. The Elephant Bar's a fun place to go to and it's in a nice location, but I like the one at Southland Mall better.

The best part of this place is the atmosphere...it clean, it's trendy, and yet it's still family friendly! those are the only positive things that I can say. about this place The service was below average and the food was even further behind. let me start with the service. I sat at the bar, and despite there being 2 bartenders and a plethora of empty space, the guys behind the counter were running around as if there were 50 people lined up. the bartender who did finally spare some time seemed a bit rushed and surly. i'll commend him on his quick knowledge of the beer listing and subtly promoting the upsizing of my beer, but he didn't do a whole lot of checking-in during my meal. i'm not asking someone to hover over me while i eat, but given that this place is supposed to be known for their friendly service i was a bit surprised that he wasn't a bit more engaged. now for the worst part of the experience, the food. I ordered pretty quickly and the food came out in a matter of minutes. This is where my disappointment really began. I ordered the seared ahi tuna with white rice, mango salad, and mixed veggies. based on the descriptions and pictures in the menu i was expecting something fresh and lean. in actuality, i go the following: tuna that was seared but rubbery, mango salad that looked more like guacamole (yes, it was all mashed together and served in a big lump), and veggies that look like they came out of a can (think school cafeteria style). sadly, the plain white rice was the most edible portion of the meal. due to my hunger at the time, i tried to force myself to eat as much as i could. thankfully i only got half way through as the dish caused me to lose my appetite. in summary, i was sadly disappointed in this place. my expectations were high, but in the end the food really killed the experience. i'm not likely to go there anytime soon and would recommend that others don't as well.

this place is relatively new. i came in with my wife and brother. it was not very busy but service was slow. the waitress kept checking on us but the bar took a while to get our drinks and the food took a while. once the food got there it was delicious. both my wife and brother loved their dishes. honestly the food was worth the wait. i will be back.

I like the Elephant Bar for the convenience and menu selection, but the food just has not been that great every time we go here. It isn't necessarily bad, but it is just bland. When I go out for food, I just want it to taste good!

I cannot say enough good things about the Dublin elephant bar; I had my birthday celebration there this past weekend. I called in advance for your reservation because I have a large party coming and I spoke to one of the managers who made sure to take my reservation. Now all the wait staff are great people and friendly and accommodating, however, when I am lucky enough to sit in Tim's section it really makes a difference this guy knows what he's doing it seems like I'm dining in Tim's restaurant as opposed to the elephant bar and I always can trust him to make my visit pleasant and accurate. I appreciate the management giving the wait staff latitude to make executive decisions with the patrons to me that makes every visit a memorable one and has me coming back for more I like the food it's always well cooked and it is always served the way I like if not the wait staff makes it right to my satisfaction. I recently had their stake in shrimp and it was great. I love the daiquiris there and they are always made the way I like them when I request them. Hats off to you elephant bar and hope to see you soon again. Yes I definitely recommend this restaurant if you're passing through Dublin, California

Ok WTF over? My family chose this restaurant for my cousin's 21st birthday dinner and I think we are sorry we did. Let's just say they pissed me off before I even got there. The reservation was at 7:00pm. Well I do not live in Dublin I live in Manteca. I am on the freeway driving in and I am running a little bit behind with ETA for 7:15-7:30 depending on traffic and I get this text from my cousin asking me where I am because they will not seat them until everyone in our party has arrived. UM WHAT??? I have never heard of such a ridiculous thing in my life. Also no pressure or anything. Then find out another cousin is even further behind me which is no pressure for them either. What kind of place refuses to seat a party at their designated reservation time? Why does everyone have to be there? We are talking a party of like 20 people. Not everyone is going to arrive at 7:00 on the dot. I was soooooo livid. That is bad customer service big time. So I guess after enough griping they agree to seat the people who are already there which should've been done without question. I arrive and get a menu and look it over and sure enough the prices are way too high and nothing looks that great. I was not that hungry so I ordered an appetizer as my entree (Fresh Whole Milk Mozzarella with Bruschetta Tomatoes) and it was ok. Then after everyone was done eating she brings the dessert menus out and I decide to order something but then instead of even asking anyone if they want dessert she brings out the checks. Why even bring out the menus if you aren't even going to ask anyone if they want anything??? I had to flag her down and tell her I wanted to order dessert. I ended up getting the mini walnut fudge brownie which was also nothing special. Nobody else seemed to be that crazy about their food and there were alot of complaints about the drink prices being ridiculous. I don't drink so that neither here nor there for me. Bottom line the service sucked and so did the food and I will not come back here again on my own. The whole seating fiasco got to me more than anything. Not willing to waste my time here again and I am sure my family will not have this place in mind when booking a party again either.

I don't frequent Elephant Bar much at all because I don't find much on the menu that I really love, but this time I did. I actually did enjoy my meal, though there were lots of issues. Very nice hosts, got us quickly seated, were kind and gracious and sincere. Were greeted by our server within a couple minutes, and he seemed very nice, but every time he spoke, he would include something about being quick. "Let me quickly get a drink for you" or "do you have any quick questions about the menu before I come back." It seemed like he was in an incredible hurry... then he would disappear. It seemed like he had one other table in a different section and the rest of the time he was nowhere to be seen. Then when he did reappear, our drinks had been empty for a while and he would ask if we needed anything, somehow not noticing our 3 soft drinks and 3 waters were barren. They were having a technical issue, the cash registers weren't working and had to do manual credit card transactions and had to hand write the orders for the kitchen, but we weren't told this until we had waited 30 minutes for our food and a manager came by to confirm our order was correct before it got plated up. Then our server came out with the food and told us how he knew our order was correct and the manager was crazy for checking with us. Seems like a huge lack of communication that should have been made up for by offering some bread or keeping our beverages full to make up for the delay caused by the computers. To sum it up, the food isn't presented very well and it's not cheap. Chili's or Applebees or Claim Jumper or Cheesecake Factory or PF Changs offer the same general genre with much better staff, presentation and attention to detail.

Came here on a Wednesday night to celebrate a bday. The hostess noticed me carrying a gift and asked if their was a bday I told her yes but they weren't here yet and she informed our waiter! That was pretty sweet. Plus they even sang happy birthday to her cause what's more embarrassing?! This I felt was above and beyond cause at first they warned me that they don't sing?! I thought maybe it's some weird company policy thing...but they did sing so who cares. It actually pretty busy for a weeknight. We were seated quickly and our waiter was on if (Daniel), though everything was a bit on the slow side: ordering, drink refills, asking if we wanted dessert. I was particularly annoyed when I noticed our waiter taking the orders of a large group ahead of us when we were there 1st. I don't care how large of a group they are or how much money they're dropping, we're here too and spending our weeknight at your restaurant so pay attention to us too! This is why I am withholding a star. Well this and the fact that all of us concluded that everything we ordered was just ok, nothin special :(

I have gone to the elephant bar many times not and its always good they dont mess up my order and they are timely with there service. probably my favorite thing about this restaurant is that the waitors and waitress suck up to you to earn tips, and boy does it work. its the little things that matter.

My husband and I came here once when we first moved to the area, had no idea what was around, and were just desperate to eat something. The food here is fine, if slightly too expensive for what you get. I think of it as similar to Chili's with different fare and better decor. I recommend this restaurant if you're looking for something safe and satisfying.

And my 100th review goes to the Elephant Bar! Haha. I came here on a date on a Tuesday night at around 7:45pm. The main seating area was probably only 33% full, but because of a limited waitstaff, there was a 15-20 minute wait. We were offered the bar, which is open seating, but there were no open tables except for seating right at the bar (not the most ideal for a date). We opted to just hang out in the waiting area and chat before being seated about 5-10 minutes later. Our waiter didn't get to us immediately, but as he was on his way to another table, he acknowledged us, letting us know he would be right with us. We ordered our drinks (waters and a beer) and when he came back to our table, he offered to take our orders, but we weren't quite ready. I ended up ordering the Blackened Ahi Tuna with Tropical Fruit Salsa (with brown rice) and my date ordered the Macau Shrimp Soup with Salmon (with brown rice). About 10 minutes later, our orders came out. My dish was pretty tasty. I love fish and I'm usually not very particular as long as it's cooked fairly well. The veggies were tasty, as well as the side of salsa. Let's face it, it's a chain restaurant, so I don't have super high expectations. It is one of the more decent ones, however, so I was pretty satisfied. The service was also good; it was quick and efficient. Our waiter placed the bill on our table, but we were still chatting, so after maybe 10 minutes (?), our waiter approached us to ask us to take care of the bill because he was going off shift and his manager wanted him to finish up. It wasn't a big deal, and I can understand from their standpoint. Additionally, I think the waiter handled it pretty well. At about 10:15pm, I had to head home because I had an early morning. The restaurant still had some customers, but we made our way out. It was actually a nice place to hang out on a Tuesday night. Would I come back? Sure. It's not a place I necessarily crave, but I would come back for its social atmosphere and consistently good food and service. Side Note: One thing I am left to wonder about whenever I go to big chain restaurants like this is how do they cram so many calories into one dish?

I won't be going to the Elephant Bar in Dublin any more! The last couple of times we went the food has been nasty. Of 'course last night I made the mistake of going out to eat on Monday? is that when they have the beginner chef in the kitchen? The honey shrimp was burnt and it's almost like he strategically hid it so the burnt pieces weren't showing. The shrimp soup is usually very good but it had 1/2 onion in it (seriously, not even chopped) and a teaspoon of broth. We called the Manager over on the shrimp and he barely mumbled and said he would have the chef re-do. Well we all know that's not a good idea so it basically ruined my Son's dinner 'cause he had nothing. The waitress was very friendly at first but then disappeared after we got our food so my Son had to go up to find the manager and that is when she came running over asking if she did something wrong. I told her it was the food but we also had looked for her for awhile so that's not so good...after that she was very short with us like we were the problem. It was definitely very uncomfortable and we will not be going back. The manager comp'd the shrimp that was burnt....WOW...that was nice.

This is one of those chain restaurants that my Grandma loves because they offer a 10% off discount card to those who are 55 and older. It is also a place that I typically will only go to when I am with her and only when I am in Phoenix. So, why did I come here with my husband for lunch on Sunday? Well, we were in the area and decided to check it out and it isn't something we will need to do again. Typical chain restaurant feel-menu vast and the first few pages are dedicated strictly to alcoholic beverages. Husband ordered some beef noodle thing-the braised beef was tender and moist but lacked flavor and the fat noodles were just that...fat. I had the shrimp soup and side salad and though the soup was tasty, the side salad was skimpy for the price. I also have a pet peeve when restaurant kitchens don't bother to take the butt (stem) out of tomatoes before serving them. Service was fine-food was fine. All in all, fine but I will wait to go with Grandma next time.

Today, Easter my family and I went to eat lunch at the Elephant bar in Dyblin. That was my favorite restaurant, but today I was very disappointed, The service was slow, and the food was not good at all. My crispy Honey shrimps were soggy a nd not crispy my granddaughters Philly steak sandwich-- was on a roll as hard as a rock and the Creme Brule tasted very salty. The waitress was chatting in the back and never once asked us how our food was or if we needed anything. I was not happy.

For a good casual hang out, come here! This place sometimes gets busy and too loud, but that's just the way most Elephant Bars are. On a good night, I've received excellent service - on point servers, welcoming, etc. On busy nights, I've gotten some flustered waiting (bad recommendations, no utensils, forgotten drinks, we've all experienced it). The here food is always good eats, but due to various waiting experiences; I'd rather go to other Elephant Bars versus this one.

I think this is a consistant great place to eat with great customer service. It has a great selection of food and are always changing up there happy hour choices. I like that its not like the usual places you go to and you can get unusual tastes. The crew there are SUPER friendly! I usually sit in the bar area and they are the best! Not giving this place up any time soon and have been going there since it first opened!

Food is ok - u go there not expecting a whole lot. Good for kids - and the calamari is actually some of the best I have had. Seriously. And the drinks are really good. Which almost make it a 4-stars.

The two stars is for the food. The food was good, but the service was terrible...terrible is mild is what i would say. 1. No cutlery at the table, we had to ask for it. 2. Main course came before starter. 3. Drink came later (after we asked for it) 4. The only good thing about the waiter was, he told banana skins comes with bacon (we had vegetarians in our group). 5. The waiter apologized N times, but he looked like he was programmed to do so. 5.1. We asked for straw, but it never came. 6. We requested to see the manager who came after 20 min. 7. We regretted calling the manager (Dan if i could remember) since he was worse than the waiter. He came- Hey, what do you want? We said all our concerns and he asked ' What do you want?' as if we were at his mercy. Yuck!!! 8. Another guy who seemed the courteous of the three, came and handed over the bill. 9. Bill was not ours, but someone else! 10. We gave our credit cards for payment and when we wanted to sign, there was no pen. 10.1 We never got the straw which we asked for (refer 5.1) 11. We finally got out with a great (#sarcasm) experience.

I ate here around 9pm last night with a large group and experienced one of the most rude and cold waitresses of my entire life. But God was smiling down on us and had her go on a break halfway through our dinner. The waiter that took over was a breath of fresh air. A big plus was that my Raspberry Lemon Drop was under $6, but a big minus was that my Shrimp Spring Rolls completely fell apart. It'll probably be a while before I return.

I'm gonna hand it to the previous reviewers, the atmosphere is definitely a keeper. This is hands down one of my favorite Happy Hour spots if i'm in the area. Favorite picks: Coconut Shrimp, Artichoke Dip and Lettuce/Chicken wrap! Wash that down with a few of their classic mojitos or mai tais and you're off to a good start for the night :).

this is usually my go to spot for a quick happy hour fix. Can't really complain about much, maybe because I usually leave a bit buzzed :X ! - Service is good - Drinks are good, I tip well, so maybe i get extra attention! - Food comes out fast WIth that in mind, you can't go wrong. Mojitos are good!!!!! Cheers!

I have always wanted to try the Elephant Bar for quite awhile and I finally had the chance. Making reservations is a great way to not have to wait. Because as soon as we walked in, we were seated and didn't have to wait among the rest of the people. The waiting area is quite large though. We started off with Calamari. They were cooked very well. My entree, Pacific Rim Shrimp, came with a tossed salad, which I thought was quite large. My main entree was quite tasty. The entire dish is quite sweet if you decide to also dip your shrimp into the sauces, which I did not, because there needed a balance. Then for dessert, we had the brownie with ice cream and the won ton with ice cream. They were a lot larger than the we expected, because the pictures made them look quite small. I had quite an enjoyable evening and hope to come back to try other dishes.

The wait was about 10 minutes, I didn't mind. But the thing there was only us waiting and I saw many tables open. Our waiter was really nice. I got the lettuce and chicken wrap, I forgot the name. It was good, but they only gave us 3 lettuce wraps. Like really? I would expect more. I got the Mongolian beef. It was good, but the meat had too much salt and sauce. It was too much for me. But overall it was a okay, not the best.

Interesting concept of fusion food. Its full name has "Wok" in it, so its menu reflects a good selection of Asian food. The lettuce wrap appetizer is in fact better tasting than the offering in Chinese restaurants. It forgoes the usual heavy soy dressing and is infused with herbs and interesting ingredients. Definitely will order it again.

First time here at this location. A co-worker and I went here a little after one yesterday for lunch. Sat in the bar area and got great service. Im not sure if its just been a super long time since ive been here, or if its because I have never been to this specific elephant bar before....but it was actually really good. Different food items. The place was empty, could have been because its not a huge lunch crowd area or because it was a late lunch....(1 pm). But it was super good and will be back. Good portions. Good Food. Good service. I dont know how this place is when its crowded though!

I completely respect the adventurous ideas of restaurants like these but all chefs don't know how to cook everything. When my friend suggested this place I was a bit hesitant knowing what I know about restaurants like these. I was right. The service and cleanliness were the two stars but the food was not very good. I got the garlic noodles with shrimp and my friend got " The world's smaller salad, soup and sandwich." Yikes. This place was definitely not worth the money. The food was mediocre! I'm sure there bar is great but I will definitely not be here again.

I had the food and within less than an hour I had a very bad pain in my stomach. I am not sure 100% if was because of the food. Inside was dark. I did not really liked the decoration. Also service was below average.

Salads, burgers and appetizers oh my! (I stay away from the main dish entrees). We split the lettuce wraps and the market cobb salad. How we scored a table at 6:30 on a Sunday is anybody's guess. Pretty loud here and the menu is the set E-Bar corporate menu. Still, service was top notch.

Horrible service. Hostess upon entering didn't even say hello. Only 2 min wait which was nice. We had great seats but then server screwed up my husbands meal. We were okay with the mistake but then thought after having to make us wait for new one and eat by myself they would of at least comped part of the meal. Then when his meal finally did arrive he asked for A1 sauce which the waiter forgot. 2 mistakes, me eating by myself, not great service. You don't have to pull my arm not to come back!

i come here because it's close and i'm lazy sometimes. Everytime we order a burger or sandwich with fries, the fries have to be returned, they're always cold, not even warm. it happens at the cheesecake factory a lot, now that i think about it. Also, when i have a gift card or coupon, it takes forever for the employees to take it off the bill, last night i went and it took 20 minutes to get my bill while my waitress (who was nice) and the manager were working with my gift card and coupon, this restaurant didnt just open last week, why is this so dificult?

I have to give this place a 5-star for their service. Although an occasional server fails to live up to the Elephant Bar standard (and I've yelped about such folks before), whenever I've voiced a legitimate complaint, I've been very pleasantly surprised at how EB goes out of its way to make things right and/or apologize. Obviously, customer service is top-notch important to this restaurant, and as a consumer with many choices of similar restaurants, I will always gravitate toward the ones that truly deserve my business. Kudos to EB for their excellent service, not to mention their excellent Happy Hour spread!

This is by far the best Elephant Bar location I have gone to in the Bay Area. The Staff is attentive, friendly, & personable. I've spent more money there then I care to admit. While their happy hour menu has been downsized in portions over the years (as has been the case for other casual dining restaurants I have frequented in the Bay Area) I still believe they give you a great value for your money. Definitely worth checking out for a quick girls/guys night.

This place is really hot and cold for me. We had the sampler starter, the sweet potato fries, coconut shrimp and chicken strips were good but the artichoke dip was pasty and congealed quickly. The salads were like the kind you get out of a bag. My three shrimp meal had two kinds that were great and then the garlicky/grilled shrimp which were so bad I didn't finish them. My son had both the cheeseburger and the kraft mac-n-cheese from the kids menu (he swam that day so wanted to eat a lot). He didn't like the mac, how do you get Kraft mac wrong? The cheeseburger was "eh, OK" in his words (he does like real cheese burgers, not the ones you get at the golden arches) so I give him some credit there. My wife and daughter both ordered the tempura salmon roll, my daughters showed up with dinner, my wife's showed up 20 minutes later. Ordered at the same time, but arrived when the rest of us were most of the way through our meals. Lucky for us she had it with a soup which showed up before our meal and the appetizer we had so she wasn't left hungry. Every time we come there is something good and something bad. Our visits come further and further apart, I don't know when we will come again.

This review is for the great service that I received at the bar section yesterday. My server was Robin, and she went above and beyond to make sure that my SO and I were happy. We went to watch Game 7 of the World Series during happy hour, and she went out of her way to clean a table so that we could get a good view of the TVs. She was very attentive to our needs throughout our meal and never made us feel pressured to leave after we finished eating so that we could watch the entire game. She was very pleasant with us and made sure to make conversation with us or compliment us. The happy hour menu is great. Two meals and 4 drinks total came to less than $30 before tip. The burger and Korean tacos are not bad. I highly recommend happy hour at EBar and Robin!

Not sure if I was just not there at the right time but I went last Wednesday with my fiancé and his work colleague and nothing seemed to go right. We were seated and after about 25 minutes is when the server came up to us. First we were told a table was available that they were cleaning off but then said oh the server was too busy to sit us there so we were seated near the door. After we finally got our server to get drinks started we ordered wine which ended up also taking another 20 minutes to get because it was supposedly in the back room not at the bar. At this point I noticed the table (which was supposedly unavailable for us to sit at) with other patrons who had already gotten their drinks and eating. We still hadn't even ordered food at this point. I had the ahi tuna which was very good but my fiancé got the lamb dish which he couldn't eat at all. The manager and hostess at this point had been called after all the issues at our table so my fiancé was able to switch his lamb for a much more delicious pot roast with extra gravy dish. We also received our wines after we got our food, which was the time the other patrons who were seated after us were walking out and finished with their meals. After the extra nice service of the hostess and manager we ended up having a decent experience. But the first 45 minutes were awful. It was nice to see some employees trying to make the effort to better their customers experience. Thank you to you both, Sorry I don't remember your names.

Came here to celebrate a wedding anniversary with parents visiting from overseas. Extremely disappointed with the service - first of all we got our appetizers and within 5 minutes they brought our entrees, we were asked if we wanted them now - of course not, we're still eating our appetizers! they took them away and in a few minutes the waitress came back and assured us they would keep our food warm for us! Making us feel like it was our fault we weren't ready to eat it!! What! When we had finished our appetizers we were served with our entrees that had presumably been sat waiting for at least 15 minutes, halfway through this the waitress came with dessert menus asking if we wanted dessert, No we're still eating our dinner thank you! Also she forgot my glass of wine and brought it when we had all finished eating and seemed shocked that I didn't want it anymore. The service was unbelievably bad, it ruined our celebration and left a poor impression with our visitors. This is the first time I have ever not tipped - it was just so bad I couldn't bring myself to leave a tip. the only saving grace was that the food was actually very good - no complaints at all. Not sure if I'll give the place another try or not

Great decor and fun atmosphere - we were looking forward to our first visit in years and our first here ever. We found a nice enough booth and waited to place our orders a it longer than most comparable restaurants. From the very first order delivered, the waitress totally mixed it up and when we ended up finally noticing it, we reported it to the waiter who corrected the problem. Nice - thought that was cleared up but got the bill and was charged for the mistakes as well. Lowered the tip - I hope they got the message. Too bad - Food was interesting but not sure if we'd go back.

Both my husband and I love this restaurant. We quite often go very happy hour where there is a big discount on the males and margaritas. I especially like the Korean taco plate and the Mexican tortilla soup. My husband likes the chicken marsala what she order is most of the time. Robin our waitress whom we get most often is such a lovely person and always brings our dishes on time and they are hot plates. Robin always seems to remember us and also our usual orders including my Cadillac margarita and my husbands water special :-). I recommend this restaurant to anybody who enjoys Mexican food. We usually sit in the bar section next to the windows so we can see out and see the view outside.

By far one of my favorite places to eat, not because of the food but because of the service and the drinks. I used to come with my husband every Monday night and JUAN IS THE BEST SERVER EVER. He always kept our drinks full and made sure we always had what we needed. Juan is a prime example of customer service at its best. The food really isn't that great and is overpriced. This is a place that you come to get happy hour drinks and apps, not dinner.

Me and my friend came for our lunch break and sat in a booth in the bar area. There's always such good energy in this place, I love it. I had the Kung Pao Chicken and she had the Misoyaki Salmon. My dish was spicy, just the way I like it. My friend really enjoyed her salmon, too. Our server was really sweet and constantly checked to see if we were doing alright. Gotta love Elephant Bar!

We went here for a last minute Valentine celebration. I called ahead and they said the wait was 20 minutes and they would put us on the call ahead list. We get there, a RUDE hostess named Michelle finally found our name on a stack of papers. She then said it would be at 30-40 minute wait as wait times were subject to change. Same party size kept being seated before us and and my kids were getting super hungry. After an hour wait, with no apology and youngest crying from hunger I realized, THIS FOOD IS NOT WORTH AN HOUR WAIT FOR THE AMOUNT OF MONEY I AM GOING TO PAY FOR!! So we left and ate across the street at Habit Burger. To think, I had several large birthday parties here! NEVER AGAIN!

I get it it was late at night but still no excuse. I went there not too long ago, went to the front desk and wasn't greeted for about ten minutes, Finally got a table in the way back bar area, secluded. It was a VERY long time to get a waitress. I finally had to go over to the front desk area and ask if we could take our order... seriously.. finally got our order taken and got our food.. which took a helluva long time as well and I was pissed at this point and was ready to just walk out. top it off the bbq chicken pieces and fries My mom and I ordered were cold and the fries cold and soggy. bad experience.

It was a work lunch, so we chose to eat somewhere we haven't tried around the Dublin/Pleasanton area. For appetizers, we ordered some type of chicken salad wrap. It was chicken sans flavor. I ordered the lunch jambalaya with brown rice. For a non cajun style type restaurant, I would say that CPK's is much better in comparison. The service was attentive. Although...there was a mishap and the waitress did not handle the situation well. So at the end we followed up and the manager ended up taking care of us and made our dining experience much better. I mean...who wants to find a piece of plastic in their food? NO ONE.

I have been to this place 3 times now and spread out 3 to 6 months apart, yet the service or lack thereof remains the same, poor. Sitting in the bar area you would think the server would check on his customers a little more often to see if they needed a refill. Just getting the server is like pulling teeth, only worse. I don't know, it seems pointless to go back, but my friend seems to like it, it being the drinks. Will keep posting as I continue.

Overall this location was good. I ordered the Parmesan chicken with shrimp and it had some great flavors. The customer service was decent, but nothing to complain about. The lighting of this place really sets the mood. There may be other places to eat, but this place hit the spot. The wait time wasn't long at all.

Love this place! The staff is super nice, and since we are regulars here even remember our orders. The food is always good (especially the garlic bread basket) and the atmosphere is nice. Even though it is a chain restaurant, it doesn't feel like it.

Dont do it! Nope! Don't do it! My kids really wanted to go there and I resisted then caved. It's bad when your kids complain about the food and service. SERVICE: To server: Taste the food so you can speak intelligently about it. He couldn't answer the questions. And he was inaccurate. Soup was spicy he said it wasn't and the sauce with the fish taco is sweet not spicy. FOOD: Fish tacos were wrapped in a wimpy lettuce wrap not crunchy. They forgot the BBQ sauce on the burger. Lame. Overpriced and mediocre. Go to the taqueria across the street instead. You'll be better off.

I feel like places that are fusion always suck because they never excel at one type of food, they are just less than average compared to the original. I came here plenty of times but have forgotten what I ate so I will just be writing about their HH. HH is quite crowded, and there were lots of people here. Keep in mind that Dublin is the kind of town where you will be likely to bump into teachers, old classmates, and people of that sort. My friends and I saw at least 5 of our high school teachers here. Their mojitos were $4, margaritas $3, strawberry lemonade $2, and the other HH drinks were all $5 or under. The spinach artichoke dip didn't taste bad, but there was barely any artichoke in there. The presentation of the dish left much to be desired, but it looked like they scooped it out of the pan and then just dumped the dip onto the plate. It took almost 30 min for them to come out with a chicken quesadilla... Their sweet potato fries are pretty typical, and taste much like the swt potato fries everywhere else. This is not a bad place to go for HH or a quick meal, if you don't care that the food is mediocre.

Nice place to eat! Went here for dinner. Hostess was friendly and told us about their specials. Server dude was awesome! I didn't want rice so server substituted sliced fruits for me - Cool! Place was clean. Very kool theme inside. Eats: Fire grilled lemon garlic chicken breast (11.00) Chicken was hot and fresh - seasoned very well. Tasted yummy! Gripes... They forgot to give us utensils - so we had to ask for them..o well. Would come back! Outstanding service all around.

Not too bad for a bargain meal with good portions and generous drinks. The facility has some ambiance. But not a place for a quality buffs and my wife sticks her nose up at it as well as the Elephant Bar in Santa Barbara area.

Have been to the one in Concord...not impressed. This one, I was very impressed! Great service, nice choice of wines. A little disappointed they were out of my husbands favorite beers. On a Sunday? Anyway...once we got past that little snafu...everything was terrific. Service was fast. We weren't rushed or ignored. It was my mother in laws birthday and mine so we had a double celebration. We ordered several of the starters and all were delicious. The rest of the meal was served hot and also was very good. We were treated to a little ice cream sunday with a candle for free to top off our dinner. All in all it was a very nice, yummy dinner.

1st time at this spot and the place has absolutely the worst fried brown rice! I wouldn't feed it to my dog...It's def not edible but the salmon was good.....we had 12 ppl in our party....they messed up one of the entrees and by the time he got it, it was after everyone was done with their meal! They gave him his meal for free. Service was slow it took the waitresses 40 mins total to divide the meals into 3 checks....I will def not ever go there again

This is a fantastic bar with great drinks. Alex (female bartender) was extremely helpful. Great service, drinks and experience! She went above and beyond her expected service and was only concerned with the satisfaction of her customers.

Dined in the bar area tonight. We came in for happy hour, but ended up ordering the turkey, ham, bacon club with sweet potato fries off the regular menu, which was perfectly prepared & very tasty. Also had the chicken dumplings on happy hour discount - $3 off - which were yummy and a pretty generous quantity (I think 5?) for the happy hour price. Had a side of fries, too, plentiful. We shared. My shaved beef sliders were excellent. Well done as I ordered them on fluffy mini buns, w with delicious caramelized onions & Swiss cheese served au jus. Came with parmesan potato chips - very thinly sliced potatoes, sprinkled with grated cheese. Super crunchy, a nice surprise as I expected them to be the typical soggy "round fries"! Our server, Juan, was super friendly & attentive. He refilled my coffee twice without my asking, and brought me low fat milk instead of cream as I requested, which was appreciated. Margaritas were good, great deal at happy hour prices. No wait to sit at the bar, food came quickly. Nice ambiance, busy, but not overly crowded so not too noisy, which is a refreshing change from lots of other happy hour or bar scenes that require yelling to be heard across the table! Very good food, great service, very reasonably priced. We hadn't been to this location for a while, lots of new items on the menu, including an entire page of American faves like burgers, pasta, shrimp, sandwiches with more exotic fare on the reverse. Really expansive selection of sides... Fries, mashed, baked potatoes, veggies, spinach, green beans, mac & cheese, rice with sausage, etc. Very nice selection of the typical suspects as well as some unusual items worth trying. Yes, we'll be back. Thanks, Juan, for your excellent service, patience with us, and your big smile. :)

I was in a large party. I ordered the Maui Maui. The appetizers and food all around me was juicy and succulent. Unfortunately, my fish was so dry i couldn't finish it and the rice was dry and hard. I wish I had sent it back but I was so hungry by the time it arrived that I tried to eat it. On the positive side, the server was excellent.

I like the restaurant...service is good and many types of food...I have had both good and not so good experiences. One time the food order was all screwed up and others things were fine.

We love this place! They have a great spinach and artichoke dip, cheesy bread, and Mongolian beef tacos for appetizers. There are various options for main entrees portions are great and they have happy hour specials most of the time. The desserts are ok. Overall this place has a lot of options in food and drinks. The reasons for a four star is unless you get a server you know sometimes the service is ok. Most of the staff is very friendly and very helpful.

My wife and I love eating at the Elephant Bar in Dublin. The other day we were served by Jordyn M. We had a couple special requests. Jordyn handled the requests in a way that made us feel that she was indispensable to Elephant Bar. What a terrific employee!! Give her a raise!

We dined here to help fundraise for Dublin High's lacrosse team. We sat at the bar and ordered from the bar menu, and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. The service could have been faster (two moms with two ticking time bombs - a.k.a. two year olds). However, the bar was pretty packed so it's forgivable. We ordered all our food from the Happy Hour menu, which was a great deal! We ordered the Three Cheese Macaroni ($3.50) for each of the kids, and they ate all or most of it, so it's kid-approved. The Buffalo Wings we ordered to share were okay, a bit too spicy - not bad, just nothing to rave about. I ordered the Classic "Big E" Burger ($5.50), and I have to say, it was one of the better burgers that I've had in a long time. It was a very thick patty, it was VERY juicy, and it had a very hearty beef flavor. It was definitely a steal at $5.50 - it was big, the meat was substantial, and the bun, tomato, and thinly sliced onions were perfect. I had it with a side salad, and I'm glad I passed on getting fries instead because the burger was so filling. My husband and friend both ordered the Korean BBQ Beef Tacos ($6.50), and those looked delicious and they both enjoyed their dishes. I didn't expect much, but left being a fan. I'll be back!

I went here on a Thursday night for an after work social. They had a sign at the front and led me to the room which was nice, no hunting for people. We had drinks and appetizers: flat-bread pizza, calamari, sweet potato fries, and lettuce wraps. The servers were good about bringing our drinks and remembering who got what. Overall a pleasant experience!

Overly salty food, mediocre service, the waiter didn't seem to care much about customer service. Our order was wrong, and our water was never refilled after being empty for 20 minutes and 3 reminders. Quite disappointed in this location because I really liked their happy hour until the service went to crap lately....

Always an excellent place to dine for lunch and dinner. Food is always a deal with excellence. Selection is way better than another other places compared to Applebees, Chevy's or Chilis. Planning on going back again soon.

Food was okay. I love the decor though. Being from Hawaii, their seared ahi was amazing! Their shrimp plates are satisfying, me and my niece enjoyed it. My boyfriend wasn't too happy about his steak though. Didn't taste as good as he thought it'd be or be as big as he thought. He ate it all. But yah if you're planning on going here, do get anything ahi or sashimi from their menu.

I always forget that the Ebar's HH exists, probably because it's a franchise. Nonetheless, this place deserves 4 stars for the franchise that it is. It is well run, my friend and I received a lot of attention/service from the waitresses/bartenders. We sat at the bar, and everyone was super friendly. This is a good place to go if you don't want to go somewhere super pricey for drinks and a light dinner. I don't eat that much, so everything on the HH menu was perfect. For 2 people at HH, the bill came out to $20 + tip.

It's a chain restaurant and one that I usually frequent although I have only been to this location twice. But this evening, I have to say that it was terrible. My brother-in-law ordered his burger medium-rare. It came out practically uncooked. There was sear on the outside but the inside was RAW!!! The server took it back but then charged us for the replacement burger! Can you believe that? And they didn't even get the replacement burger correct. This time, it came out super well-done. It was so overcooked that my brother-in-law could not eat it. He said it was disgusting. The manager was kind enough to comp us a free dessert. That was nice. We didn't ask for it but he offered and my little niece immediately jumped up and said yes. So when the server came with the bill, she said that the dessert and the burger were taken care of. I was surprised about the burger. It's not my style to ask for comps but I thought this was a nice gesture since the burger was not eaten. When I checked the bill, guess what? They charged for the rare burger and the over-done burger and then backed out one charge. So we still had to pay for a burger. No one ate the rare burger and honestly, it was gross to look at. No one ate the over-cooked one either. To say that they took care of the burger was not cool. When I pointed out to her that I was charged for two burgers, she seemed perturbed and said that I got credit for one. I was going to say, well we only ordered one burger and you guys couldn't get it cooked properly but again, it's not my style so I let it go and we paid. However, this server and this particular dining experience was terrible. It would behoove this chain to make some adjustments and not charge guests when they return items that are not properly cooked. Horrible practice.

I will keep this short and sweet. Ordered the Chicken Lettuce Wraps to share with my Mom and half way through eating it we came across a 3 inch piece of RAW GOOEY CHICKEN!!!! We felt like dead men walking at that point. It has been 6 hours since we ate it and I have not become sick as of yet... I will update this if/when I do. We were there for 1hr. 30 min. for LUNCH! The manager comped 1/2 our lunch and gave us a $25 gift card to come back, which I used to pay the balance of our lunch, but... I don't think I can come back after this. I will be dissecting all my food and who wants to do that? I realize they felt like they had to do something, which that's all they really could do... Not sure what else could have been done... I told the manager I would call him if I got salmonella poisoning!

Food: The food is GREAT depending on what you order. Get the garlic bread sticks. They're the best I've ever had - out of anywhere. The shrimp scampi is pretty good and the NY Steak Sandwich is delicious. Everything else is somewhat mediocre. Good food but you can do better for the price. However, I still frequent this place because of the breadsticks. They are *that* good. Service: Service has always been excellent. The waiters/waitresses are incredibly polite. They come by and make sure we are enjoying our meal.

Came here for dinner last Friday 4/25 and was completely disappointed by this Elephant Bar. We've been to Elephant Bar in Emeryville many times and are pretty happy with food an service there. The host seated us at the bar...uh, if we want to sit at a bar we would just go there without having to wait 20 minutes! The server/bartender came to take our drink order almost right away, fine..no problem. About 10 minutes after we got our drinks, a different server came to take our orders. My boyfriend ordered the fried calamari and the pot roast and I ordered my usual, misoyaki salmon with sauteed spinach and white rice. When my order came out, it was a complete disaster. The salmon is dry and over cook and barely has any glazed on it, got brown rice instead of white and to top that....my sauteed spinach was partially burnt! Seriously? Well, ok, I'll give them credit for putting the burnt part in the middle. We look around for our server, but she is no where to be found. 15 minutes later, after my boyfriend licked his pot roast clean, the server comes around. By then I was too irritated to say anything and she didn't even noticed that I barely touch my food. Very disappointed by this Elephant Bar.

I find this restaurant to be a "hit or miss." I usually eat here monthly, as the location is convenient and the pricing is good. Usually I get adequate service here, but on a few occasions, I've had to ask for a different waiter; they can be quite slow, especially when bringing menus. As far as the food goes, it's good, but sometimes bland. Considering the price though, it's more than fair (the Tempura Salmon Rolls are my favorite dish). Among all else, I can certainly speak highly of the scenery... photos and sculptures of elephants add a uniqueness to this establishment. The Elephant Bar is "good" for casual dining, but not "great."

I wish I can give negative stars to this place. Please dont go to this Dublin location. The service and the staff are very rude. We are here for the second time and we had the same bad exprerience. The waitress took the wrong order but she charged us for that. I told that I didnt orde that but then she refused to take it back. This happens all the time. I tried to use a coupon and they made a big fuss about it. They gave us lunch portions when the coupon clearly says that it is eligible all day. On top of it when we asked to use an another coupon instead they declined to do so as they were too lazy to change the Bill. They are very rude and unfreindly and made us very uncomfortable. Overrall very Bad Bad bad customer service and ok food. I heard the same from my friend too who tried it a couple of weeks too. This location should be closed as it really brings bad reputation to the Eleaphant bar chain.

We went for the first time on Monday (me, my fiance, and his parents). The girl was sweet but very uneducated about the offers that were going on. When we would ask her question, We got "UUHHMMM I dunno, let me check". I had a glass of wine with the sampler that were ordered which consisted of potato skins, shrimp on a stick, chicken on a stick, and artichoke dip. My fiance got garlic bread because he is a picky eater. Food....was......old. By old, I mean it seems like it was sitting back there and they just warmed it up. Shrimp was awful, chicken was dry and disgusting, potato skins were SOGGY. Seriously, dont make it obvious you use frozen, pre-made potato skins. The garlic bread was stale and soggy at the same time ( I have no idea how they made that happen) and there was no taste. Dinner has come finally and I wanted water with my dinner. I HAD TO ASK HER THREE TIMES FOR WATER. My fiance and I got a burger and his parents got some steak dish. The french fries we had were, again, stale and soggy. The burgers were soaked in grease and not very tasty. His parents said the steak was OK and the green beans were obviously frozen, not fresh. Not so sure we will be coming back....

My wife ordered Chicken Marsala. The chicken was pink and squishy. We showed it to the waitress who agreed with our assessment. She took it to her manager who then said that it looked fine to him. Gross. We will never go back there again.

Food was dissapointing. Korean tacos consisted of a few shreds of beef and lots of lettuce on some corn tortillas. Dish was bland. My brother's chicken marsala consisted of a small portion of chicken (considering price) and some very thick and sticky mashed potatoes. His comment was that he thought the chicken probably came out of a bag and was not fresh cooked chicken. Chicken tortilla soup was like a giant soggy chicken and mushy tortilla chip meatball sitting in a half a cup of salty broth. My wife was not happy with her chicken tacos - no flavor. My 2 kids did like their ice cream desserts. There were also service problems. Waitress was negative and not that friendly. The vibe was that she did didn't like her job. Will we be back? Maybe if the Giants held a team party here and invited us :-)))

This Elephant Bar is probably one of the better ones I've gone to. I've had great meals there for the most part. It has a fun atmosphere, especially during Happy Hour for drinks and appetizers. Really busy place on Friday afternoons! Their seafood seems pretty good and I like their desserts like wonton ice cream.

No complaints about the service or how my complaints were handled. Ordered: 1. Mongolian beef: the strips of beef with a dark brown, almost black. Tasted burned. This carbon taste stayed on my tongue for the entire time with trying to find something good about this dish. 2. Chicken marsala: oddly, I tasted the same burned taste. 3. Orange shrimp: same burned taste. I explained that if the wok is burned, the taste will permeate throughout all the dishes until this wok is scrubbed clean. I'm not into the charred taste. Won't be back. Too bad because the service is great and they really tried to make it right.

One of my favorite places to eat, and I live in Livermore. It's worth the trip though. The foods great, my favorite being the chicken Marsala. What really makes this place different is the service. It feels more of a home-y experience than a dine in. It could be that I'm a regular, but even my first time here it made me want to come back. Best times to go in is during the week lunch time. Sometimes there is a wait weekend nights

The kid's meals are great (rib, quesadilla, mac n cheese combo with chicken strips). Food: Korean chicken/rib BBQ was good. Orange Shrimp had good taste, but a bit oily. Mudpie, excellent. Caesar salad is a better choice than garden green (the lettuce was getting a bit old where you can see the pink on the edges. Service: Very good

Came here for lunch a couple of times, a late lunch so it wasn't too cray cray busy. Our servers are always so friendly. I've eaten at the Elephant Bar in Concord & love their food so why not try this place down the street from my work :) I ordered the Parmesan Crusted Green Beans which were YUMMERS! AMAZEBALLS dude! I also ordered the Sweet Potato Fries which was yummers, as usual too. Can't go wrong with potatoes :) The sauce truly makes both of those appetizers though. Oh, & even if they are appetizers, they can serve as a whole meal for myself :) Love this place & their green beans :)

We have a loyalty card here and drop by once a month or so. Last week we got an email about what we thought would be a good special: 2 lamb chops, with green beans and small potatoes and a glass of decent Cab for $23. Surprisingly, our server new nothing - nada - about this special and asked me to call up the email on my mobile - 3 times. First he scrolled down and went off, then returned and asked to look again to see what it included and finally a third time to check the price. After he left the last time we realized he didn't ask us how we wanted the lamb prepared so we waived him down and he said: So, how would you like it? One order rare and one order medium rare, we said. He responded that all were made medium rare and went off. Huh? He returned before the food was ready to say they were out of the featured wine that was part of the deal; nicely he offered any of the other Cabs. Still. To my wife's delight the chops were rare - really rare to me, just this side of blue. But that's the way she likes it. Unfortunately, mine was the same way. They were grilled, and I assume finished in the oven. Mine needed another 2 to 4 minutes there. This special has all the markings of a great dish. The chops were two doubles with lots of garlic seasoned in. The green beans were nicely prepared - still a little crisp, and the small potatoes were cooked just right and well seasoned. Everything was piping hot, But the overall server bewilderment about a special that had been underway for a couple of days, the lack of the featured wine, not to mention too much rare lamb, left us cold.

Last night we had a little dinner out at the Elephant Bar with the kids, they had coupons from school for a free kids meal. We had Calamari as an appetizers, it was good but not great. The boys had a Giant corn dog which was good but just regular size?? The other kids meal was chicken crispers which were really good. My wife and I got a pub burger and garden salad. The garden salad was not memorable but the burger was very good. Overall it was a good night out; okay food, nice environment, okay service. Nothing to complain about. It's a chain and the service wasn't bad so I give it a three

Meh.... my food was good, but lunch just took wayy too long. The menu is too big (literally. It's on like a giant clip board. Figuratively, too. Front and back, full, small writing. Too many options. Plus a bar menu. Yeesh.). Our waiter was slow, and the food was very slow to come out. It was mostly empty when we came at lunch, so I don't know where the holdup was. Like I said, my jambalaya was good, but it was SO GREASY. Not drained one bit. Would I come back? Not likely.

It's been a good number of years since I've been to this Elephant Bar... and I now I remember why. Let's start off with the positives: + Convenient location + Happy Hour deals + Space for large groups And now, the not so good: - Food is inconsistent. --- The French Onion soup came out lukewarm. Was probably sitting on the counter while the rest of our order was being prepared. We sent it back and I'm positive that all they did was stick it under the broiler because the cheese was blackened when it wasn't before. Nonetheless, the soup was bland. No flavor or depth whatsoever. Really disappointing. --- Ribeye Sliders were dry. --- But, the Chicken & Shrimp Jambalaya was pretty tasty and on the spicier side. - Customer service was lacking. We waited longer than usual for nearly everything. Similar deal with tables nearby, as we could hear them mention it to our waitress. All we wanted was some attention. We ended up flagging down any server/waiter/host that came by. They did comp us for the soup, so there's that. - Menu has changed significantly.. and I'm not sure it's for the better. I remember there being more variety but the offerings on the slab of a menu seemed rather run of the mill. Disappointing. Not to say that I won't come back some time down the road (see the positives above), but there are certainly other restaurants in the area I'd rather go to to enjoy a meal.

We came here with a coupon, and I was surprised with how much I enjoyed my meal. I mean, the food wasn't stupendous but it was passable quality. Chicken Lettuce Wraps - We started off with this appetizer and they were gone within 5 minutes... Basically one each for a group of 5 and an extra for whoever was hungriest. Pretty good - an inferior version of the lettuce wraps at P.F. Chang's. Herb Crusted Lamb Chops - So so so so good. It's lamb, can't go wrong. I wish it was more tender, though. Combination Shrimp Platter - 4 differently cooked coconut shrimp, all of them delicious. Jungle Colada - A must order! Not usually a fan of pina colada but this drink is great. Everyone tells me how good their happy hours are, so we're definitely coming back for that! The Jungle Colada was wonderful!

I remember when I first turned 21 a few years ago and I was working at Stoneridge mall. This was my go to place to hang out with my coworkers after work. They had great deals for happy hour, but I was never a fan of their food. As I got older, my appreciation for cheap tequila and hangovers dwindled and my visits to Elephant Bar became less frequent. Fast forward to about 3 weeks ago. It was a long day at work and I was in dire need of some tropical cocktails. I quickly remembered Elephant bar and their jungle colada (seriously ORDER IT) and Mai Tais. My bf decided to order their HH special (burger, fries and a beer for like $8). We were so surprised when his food came out because it looked completely different from what we remembered. This didn't look like some sloppy excuse of a burger. It actually looked good! What made it even better was that it was cooked and marinated perfectly. My bf was really satisfied and even told the manager how impressed we were with the menu and food change. I'm also a fan of the smaller menu. Much better than having 12-15 pages to browse through. Keep the changes coming! I'm a fan again.

SEATING: My family comes here at least twice a year for family dinners like for birthdays. They always accommodate us comfortably at a big table of little tables put together. STAFF: Staff has always been nice so I have no complaints about our servers. FOOD: The food is never bad but it's never spectacular but you know it's not a high end restaurant so I have to give it up to them they do a decent job of offering different flavorful options and kids choices with crayons and paper activity puzzles. I realized to ask them not to add extra salt to my entree because I always tend to think the food is too salty for me. INSIDE: I like the atmosphere it's clean and a neat theme with the elephant safari travel theme. Bathrooms are on the darker side as far as lighting. DEALS: Costco used to sell gift cards but last time I went unfortunately they were sold out and I can't find them online either so maybe they stopped doing the gift card deal promotion with them. Sometimes there are coupons in the mail or newspapers.

It's all about the Happy Hour at Elephant Bar, I love the selection of drinks and Appetizers on the Happy Hour that I have never felt the need to come and dine in the Restaurant side of things so who knows, maybe that is just as good..? The Happy Hour is Monday - Friday 3pm until 7pm and then every night from 9pm until close! Got to love the Coconut Shrimp washed down with a Mai Thai while kicking back in the Bar. The servers are nice and it can take a while to get served but there's TV's located inside the Bar to keep you entertained while you're waiting. Daily Specials: Mai Thai Monday - Half off regular menu price. Skinny Cocktail Tuesdays - 1/2 off Skinny Cocktails Wine Wednesdays - $4 Glasses *TIP* Join the email club and regular deals including something for your Birthday.

They've changed their menu. How is it possible to remove ALL of my favorite dinner options? It was pretty empty on a Saturday night and I suspect it's because it's just not as tasty as it was in the past. The Elephant "Bare" is not something to trumpet about anymore.

This feels super lame but I'm just gonna say it. I think this place has the best French Onion Soup I've ever had. I haven't had it at many places because not too many restaurants make it but it was so good, especially coming from a chain restaurant. It's actually Baked French Onion Soup so there's a huge layer of cheese baked on top. Totally my thing. If you're not huge on cheese, might not be as perfect for you as it was for me. Also, lots and lots of cooked onions. I didn't think I'd like it but I did. There were so many onions that there was less soup so I would prefer more soup but it was all good. It was still delicious. Dang it I'm craving it right now. I also got a Mac and Cheese (I was feeling pretty simple that night) and that was good but didn't hit the spot as much as the soup did but my boyfriend really liked it. Bottom line, I'd get that combo again!

Horrible!!! Food is trash!!! The place it is very nice and the server it was very good but the burger it has not season and the mash potato I was not able to eat... I will not go back!!! A apple bees it is a lot cheaper and better!!! Three hamburgers with France frites and one top sirloin with mash potato with soft drinks it was 70 dollars. The bar looks nice. But I will not be back.

Went in for an early-ish dinner on a Saturday, 4:30 pm. Was happily seated in a near empty dining room. Waiter came by, was friendly, took drink order. Drinks came quickly, he took our dinner order, then we didn't see him again. Refills would have been nice on a hot summer evening. Our meals arrived, and were mediocre at best. It looked like they greatly scaled back their menu since my last visit. I ordered a top sirloin steak, medium rare. Well done is not even close to medium rare. He came by one time, refilled our drinks once, then only returned for our check. It appeared that he was also serving a very large party in the back room, and was seriously overwhelmed. Will not be returning, ever.

Best child daycare place in town! Let them roam around freely, the staff doesn't seem to mind. Though, don't be surprised if you child complains about the food. It is really gross. Especially there thai noodles, oh so disgusting.... Your child may like the spinach-artichoke dip, it is one of the only things that is edible.

I came here for lunch with a family I was visiting. Our party got a variety of menu items, including Chicken Marsala, jambalaya, and burgers. We started with chicken potstickers as an appetizer. Home-made potstickers are the best, but I'll give these credit: for a non-Asian restaurant, these were quite good. The main dishes were all pretty good also. I tried a carmelized pear and bleu cheese burger, which I managed to finish (it was good, but I didn't have anywhere to keep leftovers). The calorie count, which I noticed after ordering, was a bit daunting. Everyone enjoyed their food. If I could give this place 3.5 stars, I would.

Food was awful. Ordered Mongolian beef and the steak was dry and hard like it had been cooked the day before and re-cooked the next day. The French onion soup was bland and flavorless the onions weren't even caramelized and definitely wasn't baked due to the bowl it was served in. My wife didn't even take more than 3 bites of her salad. The best thing we are were the chicken potstickers which were pretty tasty. We will never return to this or probably any elephant bar. Absolutely disgusting!

Horrible restaurant. Took 30 minutes to get drinks after sitting down and there was NO ONE at the bar; took another 10 after walking to the bar for the bartenders to stop talking and come wait on us. After 45 minutes they took our food order. After 45 minutes we were able to find our waitress to ask about food who said another 2 minutes 15 later she said 2 more minutes. When it finally came out we figured out what took so long. They lost it in the back of the fridge because it was so cold. Do not come here ever. Beginning home chefs can do better with an easy bake oven and microwave.

The food here is pretty good, well priced, really good service & there are some good food & drink deals during their happy hour!! The servers are really cool & will help me choose menu items that don't have any dairy products in them.. And they know all of the ingredients if you should have a food allergy! I'm a addicted to the miso salmon with the veggies.. But their appetizers are also good! Parking is easy and the lot is really big.. It's easy to get shopping nearby, then grab a bite to eat afterward!

Never again!!!I live nearby and come to the bar once in a while, but today we stayed for dinner. Not a good idea! First they changed the kids menu, but didn't take the old items off of the menu. So, my daughter wanted an item they no longer offered. Then, she had to change her order, but she's only 6, so...whatever. Oh yeah, they charge EXTRA for juice for kids, not soda or milk and they don't have apple juice! My food on the other hand was barely warm. Not good! My fries were cold. I normally would bring it to my servers attention, but he was scarce. I did get hold of the manager and voiced my concerns, but he didn't offer any help. He did thank me for bringing it to his attention. I felt brushed off, and only tipped the server because I'm sure they share with the bus staff. Also came here last week for drinks during happy hour and got the bar burger combo. I asked to substitute a soda for the beer and they wouldn't do it because there was "no substitution button for that" according to the waitress. Whaaaat? I'm done with this place!

My husband ordered 10oz steak and to our surprise, his steak was really really dry and was hard to cut with a knife. It was really hard from the outside and dry on the inside. I ordered mongolian beef which was also over cooked that made it so hard to chew. Overall..we aren't happy.

It should have been a warning sign when no one seated us. We made our own way to a booth and had to get up again & find an employee to send wait staff to our table. It was 3:45 pm- NOT a busy time for this restaurant. We ordered one drink. My blanco sangria was overly bitter & had chucks of what I thought was persimmons floating around in it. I lost count after viewing 14 pieces of white squared things in it. P.S. I HATE persimmons. We ordered the Grazer platter. Aptly named because the only thing that could eat that slop would be cows, pigs, goats..& I wouldn't let them eat it because I LIKE animals. The chicken "sticks" were so over cooked that they could have been used to spike down a tent at Burning Man. On the other hand, the breaded green beans were so under done that I thought I was in a Raw-Vegan restaurant in Berkeley. The artichoke dip was a runny river of stuff with unknown bits & pieces swirling around in it. The 7 chips that came with that were hard & stale. The only edible item were the brunt sweet potato fries. Years ago, I once kidded with my family that if someone breaded, salted & deep fried CARDBOARD, it would be edible. I would have eaten that cardboard over this meal. And the aging biker waitress never stopped by until we asked for the check. We left a FULL platter of fried slop on the table. She never acknowledged that. Which was worse: food? Or Staff? BOTH. I'll be surprised if I don't end up with diarrhea or some stomach ailment.

Used to be good.happy hour was waaaay better.they took off all the food and specialty drinks.$2 off a cocktail isn't much.the menu used to a spiral notebook of options..now it's just one piece.Don't think I'll be back anymore

Service was excellent. The menu has changed from my last visit and I'm not a big fan of the change. I had the street tacos and the salsa/sauce that came with it on the side was not tasty at all. The Long Island ice tea my gf had was delicious (probably depends on who the bartender was at the time). Overall I wouldn't go back for the food but if I wanted good service it would be a top choice.

I've met friends here for drinks and bar food. Sitting at the bar and talking to the bartender gets you stronger and better tasting drinks. The coconut shrimp skewers are my favorite. They are always crispy and not greasy. Other favorites include the seared ahi tuna and the sweet potato fries. I wouldn't be adverse to coming back to try a complete meal.

Even though this is a chain and doesn't try to hide it, I love it. I eat lunch here quite often and sit at one of the tables in the bar area. I find the service is actually better than in the main dining room. The bartender who is there most days is amazing at customer service and gives the place a clubby feel that's a nice break from my day. I'll update this review with his name next time I go in. If I were starting a restaurant, the first thing I'd do is steal this guy from EB. I love the green bean appetizer and their lighter seafood dishes. I'd love a less corporate beer selection but am happy to see Lagunitas on tap. I find the prices reasonable for what I get.

We enjoyed our dinner with family, service was excellent, food was amazing, portions were over whelming, waiter was very considerate and was able to understand our specific needs to the limit that she changed to the order and asked us about it, to avoid having pork in it, as we do not eat pork. We will definitely go there again.

Elephant Bar has decent food at decent prices. It's a fun place in a good location to meet with friends and grab a snack or drink or have lunch. Recently they changed their menu. I was told it was due to being bought out. All of their excellent happy hour items are gone and the happy hour prices are terrible now. I feel like they just had changed their menu and then they did it again and removed the $5 Long Island ice tea, $5 burger and fries and they don't have the spicy chicken tenders anymore either. I don't recommend this place for happy hour anymore. It seems ok for lunch but other than this, they've lost my business. -Save your wallet and go elsewhere after work!

Came for a graduation party and was pleasantly surprised. We had a large party and it took some time for all our dishes to come out and the manager gave another order of one of the appetizers on the house. Food was good quality and fresh. However, still limited options for vegetarians. But the desserts are huge and amazing!

I am beyond dissatisfied! I've been here a few times and every time service and food were good. But it all changed last week when me and my husband decided to come in for a late dinner around 7:30pm I believe it was a Sunday night . We chose to sit in the bar area to watch the NBA game.... Place was not busy at all but you can tell it was understaffed. Our drinks took forever to come. After bringing our drinks I ordered lemonade ( wanted something refreshing as I'm 6 months pregnant) way too sweet it felt like there was so much sugar my drink stood on the table the whole time not once did our server ask " is this okay for you" my husband had a beer so she was focused on refilling he's beer... I was never asked if I wanted a water instead or remake the drink nothing the whole time. Appetizer took a long time as well but you can say that was the only meal that was good that night. My husband had "fish and chips" way too greasy made him sick right after we left.. And the next day he was a mess.My dinner was OK I had a grilled chicken breast with veggies not much to that.... After being asked if he wanted some kind of a dressing or sauce on he's plate he answers yes the person never came back with it. Our dessert was undercooked ( half and half cookie with ice cream on top) i was shocked they actually brought it out to us... And on top of that staff communication at its lowest ... Every meal that came out it was a different person our dinner was served by a kitchen cook (at least he seemed like it) Staff members were very disinterested that night as it was obvious they were understaffed. Couldn't help but notice the bartender making drinks ... I couldn't believe how after serving people and taking payments they would turn around and squeeze lemon/lime in to people's drinks.. Servers would come right after collecting dirty plates and start putting a cocktail together ... Discussing !!! That cherry on top or lime in your drink has way too many goodies on it.. But I guess it's alcohol some may not mind. NOT COOL! We still left a tip ... Not earned at all! Not coming back to this location again.

Love the cheesy safari decor here. I had a great burger and it was pretty reasonably priced, too! I'd say that this is like a nicer version of Red Robin, with some more exotic menu options (ahi tuna? sushi? HMM!!!!). I definitely want to come back and try out more of the options. They are very good about looking up food allergies, and that makes me feel more adventurous! Great place for lunch during the day, and for cocktails in the evening!

Oh where do I start??? My friend and I came with our kids to enjoy a nice dinner to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We ordered a mango kale salad and it was absolutely terrible. It was bitter and left a sour after taste in my mouth. Then I ordered the herb crusted lamb chops. Not only did it take infinity for it to come, when they came, it was bleeding, dry, and unseasoned. The potatoes were burnt and the Dijon balsamic glaze was non-existent. I sent it back only for the manager to come out and tell me that the lamb chops were cooked perfectly. Ummm...NO Sir...it was still moving on the plate. Anyway, come here if you like everything I just mentioned above...don't come here if you enjoy food. You will leave hungry and pissed off. P.S. Don't order lemonade...you just get water with a lemon wedge in it.

This should not be a target restaurant for anyone in the Bay Area. They overprice, and they underfeed. The atmosphere and service earns the elephant bar the extra star, but out of all honesty, the food is terrible. They give you small portions that are just tasteless or just bad in general. I ordered the half rack of ribs, and they tasted like nothing more than a little piece of hamburger meat doused in barbecue sauce. Another member of our party ordered a a salad off of the "signature menu" and as a side ordered a unique jelly called "bacon jam." The salad was totally overdressed and over priced, while the bacon jam tasted like nothing close to bacon. Maybe a bit closer to a ketchup doused orange (I couldn't come up with any better description for something so god awful.) another member ordered a chicken sandwich, and according to them the chicken was dry and tasted a bit burned. I do not recommend this to ANYONE from a food perspective.

I continue to give this place a chance, and I'm always completely disappointed with the service except for Jordyn and one of the dark haired female bartenders. If you look at my reviews, they're a mix of positive, negative, and mediocre. The waitress we had tonight (5/5) was Jamie. It's really too bad that she never asked for refills, checked up on us, or acknowledged our present except for asking for our orders and dropping off the check. Dessert? Nope. Everything turn out ok? Nope. Do you use our app to get points? Nope. What a useless employee. A robot could perform her duties. Get better customer oriented people. If we had a bunch of her in Elephant Bars, it would be underwater in a heartbeat.

The food my group ordered took longer than expected to arrive. The pork chop I ordered was good, but was a bit cooler than I would have expected. It's as if it sat around a few minutes for the rest of the food to be done.

The restaurant was pretty big. The food was average. It was decently priced, but nothing really special. We got the crispy teriyaki chicken, quick-seared ahi tuna, and a side of fries. We've ordered these dishes at different places before and they were a lot tastier elsewhere. Although it was for lunch, I wish the portions were a bit bigger, but it wasn't all that bad.

Disappointed. I remember when they opened a few years back how excited I was. I knew the food and it had a reputation for excellence. Went in last Tuesday it was dead at dinner time. I know why... It has list its quality control! My favorite Ahi salad gone...they changed the menus and not for the best.

On my way to chipotle, we saw elephant bar and decided to give it a try. After being seated and served our over sized menus, literally we couldn't look at our menus at the same time because they were extremely huge. Fast forward to the food, at best it was ok. Churizo burger and fries were just eh. The food tasted like it was frozen and just heated through. Flavors didn't pop out. Friend had ordered I believe the prime rib, lunch portion size. Wow the piece of meat was ridiculously small. It was the size of a burger patty from McDonalds. All in all we paid $70 for 4 plates, and left wishing we had just gone to chipotle. Will not return.

My husband, daughter and myself went there for dinner last Wednesday. It was still happy hour and we ordered 2 well drinks and a glass of wine. My daughter made a funny comment that she should order 2 drinks while the prices were still cheaper. When drinks were delivered only 2 came to the table. We asked the waitress where the 3rd drink was and a comment was made that only 1 well drink per person. I said there are 3 people here. He took it upon himself to wait till they picked up her empty glass before the third drink came to the table. We called the manager over and he apologized said he would take care of it and he did give us the happy hour price for the drink. We liked the new menu, food was good but have to think again about going somewhere were they think they can control our ordering. We left NO tip....hope the waiter got our point.

We came here Saturday evening to have dinner (me,my daughters, husband, and mother in law). we waited 10 mins to be seated, then... we ordered appetizer sampler with sweet potatoes, shrimp soup, steak with prawns, corndog, and korean bbq ribs with chicken. the sampler always amazes me.. the shirmp was so good but the potatoe was kinda like ehh for me.. then the medium cook steak that I had shocked me... there was no flavor at all.. like nothing.. I got so pissed that I had to take it home and put some steak sauce, but yet not good at all. my husband had the korean bbq which he said that it was good but the chicken that comes with it was tough.. my daughter who had the corndog seems like the ordinary corndog they sell in the stores.. my mother in law liked the soup I think. the waitress come by like twice to check on us but that was it.. I regret that I gave them a tip.. not coming bck to this place anymore.. thats my opinion and what I experince so thats it.. not coming back anymore never ever..

I became a fan the moment this manager decided to give me a Safari Card a few years back. That's an automatic 15% discount during lunch! Aside from that, you get those occasional email offers for Buy 1 Get 1 Free Entree and the like. If you don't want to go over their extensive menu, just get the Quick-Seared Ahi Tuna Salad. I am no salad fan but this one just blows me away.

I see by some of these reviews, people had problems with this place, though most reviews are 4 stars. 4 stars is what is is for me as well. I had no weird problems with either the food or the service. I came here with a party of 3 for drinks and dinner. We got a nice booth towards the rear. I was surprised how elegant the interior was. It gave an upscale feel to the place. Our server was a bubbly blonde and a hottie as well, that never hurts. She was so nice, she even helped my cousin get us a free appetizer by signing up with the restaurant website on her phone. It wasn't that easy so we needed help. After our drink orders were taken, we started with the Chicken Lettuce Wraps. These wraps seem to be all the rage these days everywhere, even some sports bars. This Asian appetizer has been around a long time in Chinese restaurants, but has now reached into our mainstream dinners. This version was actually pretty decent, although a bit sweet and heavy with the sauce. It was a nice appetizer, especially for free. This is a pretty relaxed and fun place to have drinks and dinner. For our dinners, I had the French dip ($9.95), my BF had the Bacon Cheese Burger ($9.95) and my cuz had Chicken Marsala ($12.95). There are a lot more expensive items on the wood fired grill menu, like the Rib Rye for $25.00 or so if one were so inclined. The food arrives in a normal amount of time. Another round of drinks, beers all around and we're good. My French dip was thick with beefy meat and came with au jus for dipping. It looks pretty good. I take that French dip and dunk it into that au jus soaking up all that juicy goodness. Open wide and slide that bad boy in, chomp! Pretty good decent French dip. The au jus was a bit more on the salty side, but that seems on par with most chain restaurants. My sandwich was decently filling and came with fries. My BF seemed to like the bacon cheese burger, but was cooked well done like most place cook burgers these days. My cuz's Chicken Marsala was good she said, but again a bit salty. American do seem to love their salt. You want all salty, try Olive Garden! We came here mosty for the drinks and company and to hang out. I knew this wasn't to be some gourmet foodie experience, and so it was what it was. Being the food was decent and the service pretty good, no reason not to come back. Parking is easy out here in the suburbs with big ass parking lots and you won't get mugged gong back to your car.

Definitely like this location better than Concord or Hayward - staff is always friendly and helpful, food is fresh and hot! Today (Sunday) is happy hour all day in the bar but you can order from the full menu as well. Crowd is mostly locals which is nice and welcoming. A comfortable atmosphere for a casual drink or dinner or a special celebration in the main dining room.

We came here with a very large group for lunch. We're doing a gift exchange for our lunch. The service was reasonably fast, considering we had a large number of people. The servers were very helpful checking back many times to see if they could help us out. We especially liked all the wonderful desserts here! The elephant cookie was excellent as well as the creme brulee. The Singapore noodle dish was quite a bit on the spicy side but otherwise pretty good. I really like the Hong Kong mahi mahi.

Mostly empty when we arrived around 4:45PM and requested seating for dinner. The person greeting us first led us to a booth in the bar, which seemed odd given we had children with us. We asked to be seated in the restaurant and were moved to a booth in the dining area. Despite being almost empty, it took nearly 10 minutes to get drinks. They don't stock Hanger 1 despite it being a local and very popular vodka. Ordered a Grey Goose martini that was bland/watery with hard olives...awful. The menu had a note that we should ask our server about the selection of craft beers, but our sever had no idea what a craft beer was or what was even on tap (no, I politely said, I don't think Stella is a craft beer...). Okay....so, I ordered their best red by the glass, but they were out. Okay, how about the second best red? Out of that too. The server recommended their house red, which was total crap especially at $8 a glass. There's a bevmo a mile away stocked full of awesome wine at great prices and dozens of local wineries in the area, but the best they can suggest was KJ's cheapest swill at a premium price? Ordered top sirloin cooked medium rare, but it was rare (even though they put a medium rare wooden skewer in the potato, to identify the preference...or maybe it was a medium rare potato?)...had to send it back to the kitchen so that the chef could get it right the second try. The baked potato was ordered "with everything", but arrived only with butter...had to ask for a side of sour cream. Despite all the misses, no one who worked there seemed the least bit concerned, nor did any of them ask if things were okay or offer any concern about the issues...the whole experience was like waiting in line to pay a toll on the San Mateo bridge. In short, all areas of this restaurant are staffed by untrained, inexperienced people who have no clue how to provide a decent dining experience, from the greeting, to the service, to the drinks, to the food...a bunch of clueless amateurs who need to either be fired or retrained, otherwise this place will slowly die and go out of business. Don't waste your money here.

If the food wasn't edible, I'd probably have given 1 star. Barely anyone here on a Wednesday night, 8:30 pm. Took 10 minutes to get seated. Took another 10 to 15 to get our order taken. Not sure if they understand the concept of service industry! Should have went with my gut and gone to Bangkok 101.

Saturday Night Happy Hour Guinness Beer - Almost as perfect as the bar tender that served it Parmesan Crusted Green Beans - light crust hot seared, large portion for just one person, I would suggest asking for some Sriracha sauce sauce if you like things on the hotter spicer sides (they have a bottle hidden behind the bar usually) Quick Seared Ahi Tuna - It is done more rare than most and with a very light peppering on the outside, I would recommend to someone who does truly like Ahi Tuna, it is a bit pricey even after the -$3 discount from happy hour menu (does not need soy sauce...) Service - It was exceptional and very welcoming everybody was in a good mood in the bar area, great atmosphere.

We were really surprised by the poor reviews that Elephant Bar has received lately! Noting their mediocre reviews on Yelp, we still decided to go forth and try something new since neither of us had been to Elephant Bar in the past. We didn't have a reservation, but didn't have to wait longer than 20 minutes (Friday evening). Our waitress was cheerful, friendly. She took our drink and appetizer orders immediately. We tried the lettuce wraps which really were quite scrumptious! I highly recommend these as a somewhat lower-calorie appetizer. They are full of flavor, more so than we imagined from a chain restaurant. Really really really tasty! I ordered a salad that had mangoes, oranges, peppers, and BBQ glazed salmon. I don't remember the name from the menu, but I can tell you that it was wonderful. The salmon was prepared well, and had a lot of flavor. I really enjoyed it! I felt good about what I was eating. My BF had the strawberry/fruit salad. You'd think the serving would be small, but it was a large salad, and pretty filling as well. He loved his salad, too! It reminded us a lot of something you might find at Panera. It's not the most expensive, top-of-the-line restaurant by any means, but for being a chain restaurant that is heavily saturated with customers all the time- it is really good. Better than any chain restaurant around this area, that is for sure.

This location use to be pretty good for a chain restaurant. I use to come here, not regularly, but pretty often for the happy hour. Came here with my family and found out E-Bar recently changed owners. The wait staff is still friendly as I remember, but the menu, including the happy hour menu, has a lot less options. The dishes also came out inconsistent, the ribs nice and tender, burgers over done and bland, rice underdone, etc...Sad to loose a chill hangout spot, hopefully E-Bar will regain its groove back.

My son and I stopped in at the Elephant Bar to grab a bite. I've eaten here in the past and it was always decent with a huge menu to choose from. Apparently, they are under a new company now. The once bountiful menu is, no longer. I ordered a turkey and ham club sandwich and my son had the Philly cheese-steak sandwich. Food arrived in a reasonable amount of time but there were no utensils left and the waiter disappeared before we realized silverware was not there. Waited about 5 minutes and saw no waiter so we looked to see if any of the other vacant tables had utensils but they did not. After another 5 minutes or so the waiter surfaced and after I asked, he brought them to us. Food was not great. I had onion rings with my club sandwich and they were totally undercooked and gross and service was slow considering there were hardly any people in the place. No more visits here.

Updated Review! Very good, service and food were excellent! Glad they stepped it up :) Worst Service EVER! This was my 3rd time at this location and every time the waitress forgets what we order and brings out things we didn't order and specific things we didn't want on/in our food was not taken out! We were charged for fried rice when we ordered white rice. We told her we wanted white rice and she still charged us for fried- so we just took that $1.50 out of her tip. I really wish this place would get it together. Seems like they need new waitresses. Food is pretty good tho. I won't be back for a while. :(

Went in yesterday to grab a late lunch around 3 pm. The restaurant was pretty empty and got seated right away. We ordered the the following: Macao Soup 3 stars nice broth Asian Lettuce Wrap 4 stars good portions enough lettuce Macadamia Nut Crusted Mahi Mahi 4 stars very good fish was moist and flavorful. The service was goo and the food came out fast. There were not a lot of orders to contend with.

TL;DR: OK food, terrible service. Arrived and got brought to a table, with hovering waitress. Drinks eventually ordered. Eventually, after much hovering. Mains ordered, came in at completely random times (OK, it was a large group, so fair enough). Chicken uniformly flavourless, but generally covered in sauces, so generally OK. Chips (french fries) cold. Spare ones delivered: cold. Not like "these were hot a few seconds ago and they're cooling", just cold. Ate mains. got checked on. More interested in spending time with the fam. Pudding menu put down, we demurred, said we were in a bit of a hurry. Bills dropped off, paid with card. 5 minutes go by. Five more. She's apparently chatting with another table, taking their order or something. We wave. In vain. Another five minutes. We go looking for the waitress. She's disappeared. Out back doing drugs, maybe? Beg the host staff for help. They find waitress, who finally agrees to allow us to give her money. If you go, pay cash. Otherwise, you'll spend more time waiting for your bill than eating. And the food's not very nice.

15 years between visits at an Elephant Bar Restaurant and most likely my last visit. I liked the lighting of the restaurant and it looked like it had a a decent bar area but I came for dinner on a Saturday and only walked past the bar into the dining room area. They had the music volume just right so the atmosphere was just right. The service was prompt and attentive so the 2 star rating pretty much boils down the poor quality of the food. I had the seared Ahi salad. There were six small slices of Ahi and it tasted pretty fishy. Thankfully, there wasn't much of it served with the salad but for a $15 salad, I'd expect more in terms of how much Ahi got served. I feel like I could have purchased a pre-made salad at the grocery store and it would have tasted better. I also had the Wok-Fired Chicken Wraps appetizer to go with my dinner. It was loaded with salt. If the food had been better, I'd go back for another round but there too many restaurants that aren't chains and serve better food. At the end of the day, I come for the food!

Food is ok but service is horrible. I been there 3 times already and every time it was slow and I got seated right of way, but nobody came to my table till to ask for drinks or anything for at least 25-30 minutes, I understand if it was busy, but it was midweek the place was quiet. I had to flag down a waitress just to get some water after 25 minutes, and not even a apology for the delay.

Service by our server was really bad. The chips we got tasted like they were from 3 days ago. After that we waited for food for over 50 minutes and when we got our food it was cool and didn't taste good we didn't eat the food sadly still had to pay to throw food away that I didn't even touch. Wouldn't go back. Went here before and it was good maybe some employees need more training on customer service sorry.

Great staff. GROSS FOOD! The food was over seasoned; overly spicy and with nothing to balance it out. Tempura wa salty s very thick and soggy, drenched in teriyaki sauce. The vegetables were almost unidentifiable as they were over cooked and also drenched in sauce. The kitchen wait and management staff should have been embarrased to serve those dishes. I should have been outraged to pay for it. No one in my party like their entree and had similar issues with their food. The last time I went to EB was 3 years ago due to the poor food quality. Things have not changed.
