Five Guys equals Five Stars for me. Here's five reasons why: 1. Pure and delicious big sized grilled burgers. 2. You can customize and add toppings and trimmings as you wish for free. 3. Hi-tech Beverage dispenser from coca cola. Huge selection of drinks available from no calorie soda to juices. 4. Unique vinegar sauce or dip for the fries. 5. Free roasted peanuts while waiting.

Their food is pretty good, I eat here on occasion. They have a great variety of toppings. The Cajun style fries are to die for. You also get free peanuts when you order. If this review was based on the food alone, I'd give it four stars. The con with this particular location is that it's always a toss up on what type of service you get. Some employees are very courteous, while equally others are either rude or display an obvious negative attitude. I understand, you may not want to be at work on a particular day, but when you work in hospitality or food service, you have to leave your baggage at the door and serve customers properly. I've received my order incorrect, which didn't bother me, it happens. What bothered me is that when I politely went up and said, "Hi, this isn't the Cajun fries, they're just regular." The woman looked at me like, "so what" and then responds "Okay, he's gonna make them." The young man who remade the fries for me was really nice and he apologized for the mistake. I told him, "It's okay, it happens." My problem with this experience is how the woman acted like I annoyed her by wanting the food that I payed for. The other sad part is I'm pretty sure she was a supervisor. Even though this is by my work, I'll goto Inn N Out up the road from now on.

LOVE their burgers! Actually surprised by some of the reviews that were 1-2 stars. I had eaten at a 5 guys years ago in Anaheim and have never been back...until I tried this location in the Crossroads Shopping Center....I did order the double patty with cheese and I have to say it is one of the best burgers I have had in such a long time. The fries were great too. I have been back many times and have always had a good experience. Although, there was one time when I felt my burger was a little smashed, but it didn't change the flavor. The meat is flavored very well. They don't rely on condiments and such to mask the taste of the meat. The service is quick and courteous and the place is always super clean. I think my only complaint is I do believe it is a bit pricey. It runs me a little over 12 bucks for a double cheese burger, small fry and small drink. I think it should definitely be under 10 bucks.

Five Guys is worthy of Five Stars: 1. Hamburger my way 2. Peanuts 3. Great Service 4. Idaho American fries 5. Friendly customers Five Guys is what it is-- a great hamburger joint.

Less than half full restaurant and the empty tables are all dirty. The ketchup dispensers are empty empty and to top it off my burger was barely cooked. One of the worst five guys I've bee in. They are better on the east coast.

Pretty greasy burger, way overpriced, def can't compare to In N Out which is right up the street, I dont know how this place survives to be honest, wont be back again, I can see why its usually dead inside

That cheese burger with everything was spectacular and the fries were amazing. After I sat around talking with my company and eating peanuts.

I just don't understand the customer hype about Five Guys. This was my third visit to this location and it was just as depressing as the first two. There are reasons why this location has only a dismal 3-star YELP rating: Small, over priced burgers that have been squashed to death by clueless flat top operators, combine with a lack of shakes, onion rings, chili and ranch dressing equals an inadequate burger place. And, the $10.69 (plus tax) I paid for my bacon cheeseburger with fries, is just way too pricey for what you get. I will keep my future burger purchases to the nearby Burger Boss (the new kid on the block in Corona that blows away FG), Fatburger, Tommy's, Norco's Best Burgers, and even In 'N Out.....All of which have better burgers at a lesser price.....

Like a lot of other reviewers here, I was pulled in by the hype, and deeply disappointed by the entire experience. The staff was fairly friendly, but beyond that, I can't understand how they stay in business. The place was completely lacking in atmosphere, even for a burger joint. The fact that I was one of two customers at lunch hour added to the uneasy feeling. It felt like I was in an un-finished industrial space that a hipster designer decided would look "country" by adding a couple barrels of peanuts and some burlap bags. Uneffective and a bit "douchy." Ordering was fairly easy, but the price-shock for a burger and fries was outrageous. Yes, the other reviewers are telling the truth... feeding one person costs around $11 here. And the burger wasn't even worth it. From the hype, I expected a warm, wonderful melt-in-your mouth explosion of beef and cheese and flavor. What I got was a mediocre, decently sized, but bland, dry double-slab of blah. There were a ton of fries, but when you're eating a lousy burger, they don't complement the experience, they just add to the pile that gets thrown away. I didn't even finish the meal... was so disappointed that I threw about two-thirds of it away and did a "walk of shame" back to my car... feeling a bit dirty and embarrassed for having made such a bad choice.

We love this place and drove there today from Lake Elsinore for a burger. The fries are outstanding!!! Approved by a Belgian. The burgers are like what your mom used to make, super good. We don't indulge often in a burger, but when we do this is our choice. The restaurant has an open style kitchen which we like. The staff are friendly and the place is clean. They are always busy when we are there so they must be doing something right.

Meh. Was not impressed with this place. With all the hype, I had high expectations- that were not met. Let's start with the price.... Outrageous for a freaking hamburger! I mean really, are you kidding me? Hamburgers are relatively cheap, there's no reason it should be that much. Granite you do get a pretty substantial sized burger. The French fries were over seasoned and hard to even choke down, which is unfortunate because we received a whole bucket of them. The place is always overcrowded and gets noisy inside. It seems like high-schoolers like to come to this joint before/after they see a movie at the Edwards cinema; so that can be annoying having to put up with that maturity level while you're trying to enjoy your meal. How high-schoolers can afford eating at this place all the time completely baffles me. Do yourself a favor and just go to In n Out or Carl's Jr. if you want a good burger for a better value. I honestly think that In n Out's burgers and fries taste way better than Five Guys. Different flavor definitely, but I prefer In n Out for taste and price.

Yet another burger joint I can cross off my bucket list... although it wasn't in San Diego. I'd always wanted to try Five Guys, so when Kathy and I had some time before our movie started, we came here for lunch. Five Guys' draw is that you can have any of their available toppings on your burger, and I sure took advantage of that (grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and A-1). Kathy was a bit more conservative with her choices. Now, when you advertise your "little" burgers, you're expecting something small. And yet, who'da thunk that their regular burgers are quite big (not just the double patties, but the size as well)? Too bad that the patties were pretty bland tasting, and while I got everything I ordered on my burger, I barely got any A-1. Plus, my bun was really soggy and kept falling apart (thank goodness for extra napkins). I felt really bad for my girlfriend, as she ended up using the extra ketchup from our fries on her burger. And speaking of the fries, while they could be a bit crispier, a large could feed a small army. Service was pretty quick; the person taking our order found out we were going to watch "Man of Steel" as soon as we were done eating, so he told the people manning the grill to make our orders fast. The restaurant is clean and spacious, with reviews extolling the chain decorating the place. As most of these were from the East Coast, I wondered where the West Coast reviews were... but after trying the burgers here, I think it's because the East Coast doesn't have In-N-Out. Also, a previous Yelp reviewer mentioned a touchscreen soda machine that offers flavor options - unfortunately, I guess it didn't work out (and why not? Those machines are AWESOME!), as there was a regular soda fountain on premises. At least it offered Mello Yello, though... Although the burgers here are pretty bland, I still like the myriad of toppings that Five Guys offers - and I do want to try the hot dogs - so maybe I'll give the chain another shot. Consider this a 3.5 review.

Always love coming to this place for a juicy thick burger, and to die for fries. They've even added the multi soda dispenser for ample amount of drink choices and flavors.

So not expensive contrary to popular belief. We shared a double meat patty with grilled onions, tomato & lettuce, light mayo, mustard, ketchup & mushrooms. The meat seemed a good fat to meat ratio. Salt & pepper seasoning. The meat was not binded well & the patties crumbled. Overall it was a good burger, not great. Similar to what your Uncle Pablo or Tyrone would grill on a Saturday afternoon at home. Fries were tasty & plentiful. A small was more like a large for us. Clean bathrooms & clean eating area.

My favorite all time burger joint. Yes it's somewhat expensive but the burgers are worth it. Very very good, so much better than In N' Out.

To me the price is fine as long as the quality of the food is good. For those people complaining about the price please do me a favor and go to McDonald's if you going to complain about it. I recommend eating here to anybody who loves fresh made burgers the way you like it.

  • Dawn S.

$39 for 2 Burgers 1 grill cheese 3 fries and 3 drinks. Thats crazy! I was not impressed. Fries were good and gave us a bunch. I will not eat there again. I can go to the habit and get the same thing for way less. Or better yet In n Out.

  • Tatjana J.

Went here with my mom and both our burgers were made just the way we ordered them. The store was clean and well organized with plenty of condiments available which is not always the case at other places during their busiest times. The staff kept everything well stocked, and they seemed to appreciate working there. We will be returning.

****update**** the manager did call me back! Offered us a great deal to make up for our troubles. So, true to my word, I'm changing my one star rating:) Giving them a one star only until our issue is resolved/ I digress; My husband and I just recently moved back to the continental U.S. as he just retired from The Army. So, we thought it'd be an excellent experience to try food we've missed out on over the last 10 years.... So we placed a big online family order, for my mother and brother included. When we first arrived we noticed my husbands BLT was missing, so we went right back inside. The guy at the entrance took our receipt and we waited for the BLT. I now just realized we never got our receipt back... So while we waited for the BLT we decided to split an extra hot dog we got. Not yet wanting to open up our burgers as we wanted to eat with the whole family at home.... Plus, the hotdog was made correctly, so why would anything else not be? WELP, we should have checked. Each burger was made completely incorrectly. My brother ordered a hamburger with bacon and an extra hamburger patty with ketchup, mushrooms, and lettuce. He received only ONE patty with NO bacon... With mustard and tomatoes included... My mother's burger was supposed to be just a bacon cheese burger with ketchup, tomato, lettuce, mayo, and mustard... She received grilled onions and mushrooms as well on her burger. Oh and no bacon!!!!! The only bit I was missing was bacon on my burger. Everything else on my burger was correct other than it was leaking BBQ sauce everywhere.... My fault though, I should have asked for light? Now, our online order clearly states what we ordered and that what we received was definitely an incorrect order. So there wasn't any type of fault on our end... So I called in. I explained that we're a bit far in Lake Elsinore to just come back around. I also let her know the only one who didn't eat their burger was my brother (he's very anti-mustard.) I just want something done to fix this; I shouldn't have paid for three bacon burgers when we didn't get bacon. Nor should I have paid for an extra patty when we didn't get it. I'd be happy to pay for three regular cheeseburgers and just take the extra charges off... I don't need a whole refund, but I refuse to pay for items we didn't get! The woman on the phone seemed somewhat understanding but said her owner will be in contact with us. She took our email and phone number down over the phone, so I'm hoping something is done to correct this mixup... When that happens, then I'll be able to correct this review and hopefully give it more stars... As of now though, I'm fairly disappointed.

My family and I go here whenever we get paid. Pros: the peanuts are quite good as a self-serve appetizer. They are always accurate with my order. The fries, hotdogs and burgers have good flavor. Excellent selection of drinks. Cons: very pricey!! This is the reason why I'd subtracted star.

Good burgers, but not worth the prices. It is twice the price of In-N-Out, whose burgers are just as good, if not better. This isn't NYC, Five Guys, it should not cost $40 for 2 kid burgers, 2 regular cheeseburgers, one large fries order, and one large soda. MAYBE $20 would be reasonable, but In-N-Out has that exact amount of food for $15. Fail, Five Guys. Will not be back.

  • Meg B.

I figured if it was good enough for Obama, it would be good enough for me. Turns it was just OK. At first I was excited by all the different extras that can come along with your burger. Then when I saw the price, I realized you were paying for these extras whether you wanted them or not. Don't get me wrong, it was a good burger, but nothing really special. The fries were pretty good, too. Maybe there was just too much hype going in, or maybe I was just turned off by the higher than In-N-Out price. I'll give it another try in the future, and see if my opinion changes.

I only want 2 things out of a burger place. 1 fresh hot burgers. 2 friendly staff. My lettuce wrapped double cheese burger was better than anything you'll get at in n out. Plus the girl at the counter complimented me on my hair. #happycustomer

Five Guys is a solid choice for a fresh, hand made burger done the way you want. This location is clean, consistent, and as good as any.

My 1st review in a long time... I think what is unique about Five Guys is that they let you pick the size of the burger as well as the toppings. And they give you free peanuts! I got the Little Bacon Cheeseburger which is about the size of an In-N-Out Burger, except that the patty was a little thicker than In-N-Outs. The size was good enough for me because of the added toppings but if you're really hungry, go for the regular sized burgers. **If I were to go back, I would just get the Little Cheeseburger because the bacon honestly made no difference. It was really CRUNCHY and hard, not crispy and had no flavor so you might as well save the extra 60 cents lol Cajun fries were DELICIOUS, but you could tell some of the fries have been reheated and/or refried. I would recommend the cajun fries over the regular ones. Honestly, I like In-N-Out a lot better. Five Guys is just a little too expensive. But try it out for yourself :)

We've eaten at Five Guy locations across the nation. Consistently an excellent burger at a competitive price. Often compared to In-N-Out, we find Five Guys offers a bigger burger more appropriate for when we want a heavier meal. Also, the many toppings available allow for the creation of something a bit different each visit. This location has the added bonus of a See's candy store next to it.

  • Mark W.

Depends on when you go. If they are busy food is fresh. If you go when not busy burger still good, fries cold and stale. Would rate higher if had consistency

I went in last Tuesday evening around 7pm. The cashier was friendly and efficient. I used the bathroom, which was clean and well stocked. The food came promptly. I ordered a protein style cheeseburger (lettuce wrapped, no bun) with tomatoes, mushrooms, grilled onions and green peppers, an iced tea and an order of Cajun fries. It was great! I always enjoy the peanuts while I wait. I was surprised to notice that there were no peanut shells covering the floor like other locations I've been to. During the time I was there I saw 2 or 3 employees busy sweeping the floors and cleaning the dining area. The dining area was very tidy. I had 2 or 3 employees say hello, ask me how my meal was and if I needed anything . They were very attentive and friendly. Not the usual service you get at a burger place. They went above and beyond. I credit that to good management. Happy employees are productive, and friendly, employees. They must have a good manager! =) I have to give this location 5 stars. The food was great Service was quick and efficient Staff was friendly and attentive Dining area and bathroom were clean and well stocked. Thanks 5 Guys in Corona for a great experience! I will be back!

I see why they got low stars. I come in for lunch some times and the last time I came in they gave me mushrooms and other stuff I didn't want. I called and told them the problem. It was OK they said just come back and give them my name. So I called a month latter and was told they would look into it. The manager told me he would call me back. Never did get that call. The manager was working today and sounded like I did some thing wrong. He gave me a hard time about replacing the burger and fries. Needless to say I only got a burger with no fries. I will not eat here again. The service and lack of respect killed it for me.

We love 5 Guys! These hamburgers remind me of the ones my mom made when I was growing up, only much bigger!I get the little cheeseburger. It's little only because it has just one patty. If you want a double patty burger then you order the regular hamburger or cheeseburger. The burgers are made to order, you can choose from a TON of toppings, all for free. I get mine "all the way" minus onions and that little cheeseburger is HUGE. I can't even get the whole thing in my mouth. One of the topping choices is grilled mushrooms and they are fantastic. My husband always get the regular cheeseburger. We share a small order of fries, because again, it's a HUGE small order. They offer regular fries, which I love, and Cajun fries, which my husband loves. We recently discovered that you can ask for the Cajun flavoring on the side, that way we both get what we want.

The service is what you'd expect; quick and average. The thing that gets me is the blaring music. It's so loud that I couldn't hear my family members from across the table. Average.

Absolutely horrible service. My wife stopped in a few days ago to get me a cheese-burger "All the way" with x-tomatoes, x-pickles, jalapenos, hotsauce and A1. When she brought it home, there was only 1 patty (not 2), and it was missing EVERYTHING except the extra stuff.. All-the-way was forgotten. I called and spoke to 'Taylor Wolfe' who told me to come back and they'll make it again correctly. So, my wife again stopped in and ordered the same thing. This time it has NO sauces at all (except for a bit of A1 squirted on the patties). The patties were the baby patties -- they were NOT the normal sized patties at all. No other condiments were in the bag. Nothing was right. When I called to complain, I spoke to "Ryan" who told me they were too busy to deal with it. He then hung up on me. UPDATE: I spoke to the owner of the location. I told her what happened and she was going to, "check with the security cameras" to verify my claims. I asked for (and received) a refund by way of a check. However, oddly, in the envelope with the check was only her business card with a hand written name and phone number. No, "Hope to see you back", or "Sorry again". Nothing. Honestly, I'm pretty sure they just don't care...

The variety of toppings gives this burger joint the pop and edge over other places. Sorry Fuddruckers, I like Five Guys better because they don't charge me extra for toppings. The one thing that is similar to Fuddruckers is the price. These burgers are pricey. If you like your meat cooked well-done, this is the place for you. Sorry no medium-well or medium, just well-done. The standard burger has a double patty. If you want a single patty ask for the little burger. I ordered the little cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, mustard, and A-1 Sauce. My burger creation was delicious, only complaint was my burger bun was falling apart. Staff is friendly, energetic and cool. Plus, they don't mind explaining the menu if it's your first time eating here. The fries are pretty good and are worth a try. Something that is uncomfortable are the chairs, ouch on my behind. One bit of advice, with all those options adapt to the west coast. It would be cool if they add avocado and pineapple as toppings. I'm just saying.

No In-n-out, I'll tell you that! Nothing special, just a burger joint!

  • Kat C.

People is say its better than In-N-Out, but I think not. Yeah its great you get to choose what you want in your burger and with more varieties. In-N-Out just has this awesome juicy taste to it. I got the Cheeseburger with all the free toppings, it was good. I loved the mushrooms in it. You can watch the people make your burger in front of you and with the fresh meat. Cajun style fries is pretty good but isnt great, and you always get a lil extra in the bag. Just a regular cup of fries is good enough. The texture of the fries is a bit soggy so its not super fried in oil. Free peanuts? Why is there even peanuts? That I dont get. But Oh well. I havent tried the peanuts there cuz im always super full after a regular cheese burger and shared fries. Its more filling than In-N-Out and cost more.

My god I love this place. I went to one in Florida first, then in Valencia, CA and now this one. If you DON'T want a 2x patty, get the "LITTLE" version of what you want. I get little bacon cheese burger, with raw onions, lettuce and BBQ sauce. the bacon is crispy and a fair amount (not loaded, but not sparse). The burger might look small at first, but it's just right, fills me up without being uncomfortable, and I still can wash down the tons of fries it comes with. A regular fries is a cup full of fries, plus another cupfull just dumped in your bag. it's awesome. CAJUN fries are THE BEST. Kinda spicy, salty and awesome. Oh and free peanuts while you wait ! And they have Cherry Coke ! WIN !

Why this place overall has three stars is beyond me. I love this place. Great burgers and the fries are pretty good. The service was great. We were greeted when we came in, the same worker checked on us two different times and wished us a goodnight on our departure. Stop the comparisons to In n Out. Their not the same, just because the colors are the same, does not make them the same. Completely different. Both are tasty, stop yapping and just enjoy! The burgers are homemade style and tasty.

I really like 5 guys.. Sure it's a little pricey but if you ever try the cajun fries you would understand lol

  • Jeff S.

This place is $$$$$$ I was disappointed when I went here, not based on the food, but the price for the food. The burgers are good, very good. They are like Fatburger more than they are like In and Out. There fries are eh.. nothing special with those, more soggy and bland than anything else.

    (3)
  • S.C R.

When i visited, the place was packed and the line was ridic. Was it worth the wait? No..not at all. I mean I've tried way better burgers and fries. The burger i ordered was ehh. There was no flavor explosion in my mouth. The fries tasted like i was eating raw potato. If you like that, go for it. But for me...no, i'm not a fan.

  • Aldrich F.

At first, I thought that this place would be better than In-N-Out and Wendy's. In some cases, yes. You can get bacon, mushrooms, BBQ sauce, and other things if you are willing to pay extra. I can at least finish a Little Bacon Burger because I need to beef up my lean body. I just wish that even though you are getting hooked up with a bunch of fries for a regular price, they need to learn how to put the hamburger inside the bag on top first. Fries could be fair game after you finish your burger. It is usually the burger that most guys come in for, right? Eat what you can finish. Or else, ask one of the employees for an extra brown bag, usually because you may not finish your own fries, if that was the case. Waiting time may be longer for some people, but worth it if you wanna stuff your face with some good All-American fast food.

  • Jenny F.

Tasteless! The burgers were absolutely tasteless. In and Out is so much better. Wendys burgers are better, Carls Jr. Burgers are better! I have even had a better burger from McDonalds!

Once again not impressed with Five Guys. Had the large burger....double meat. What I do not get is their buns are soggy and cold...yet they have them on the grill. Their fries are weird, not all that great. The Cajun spice is mediocre. This place also had LOUD music playing hard to enjoy your meal and have a good time with family. They do beat IN N OUT! But, not the Habit burger.

    (3)
  • Lucinda Marie C.

The music was SUPER LOUD in this place and for 2 people it was over $26.00! Wayyyyy to expensive and when we sat down the eat the food. The burger was GREASY cheese tasted like rubber and the pickles tasted gross. The fries were put into a paper cup but were sooo many they were ALL inside the paper bag. They were over cooked and extremely salty! Totally not somewhere I'd eat again. We did call and complain about the food and everything and the owner/manager ONLY refunded the burgers and fries but did not refund us for the drinks when they were included in the total. would NEVER go to ANOTHER five guys ever again!!!!! FFFF------ And to think this place was so packed with people laughing and talking its sad to see that this is what people consider "good food"....I guess that's why the world is soooo obsessed w/fattening foods.

First Burger in a long time. Since cutting out red meat over 2 years ago I had a burger here and it was great. I was confused looking at the menu, I was looking for a double and did not see it. When I got my burger it was a double. The Mushroom and onions are an awsome add on.

  • Estela K.

This is my favorite burger joint. They've got good quality meat and fresh ingredients. I love how you can get so many fresh toppings for free. When I come here, I always get the bacon burger with fresh jalapenos and green peppers for a fresh crunch. The bacon is AWESOME! It is crunchy, and they will pile it on. There must be two or three layers of bacon. My husband likes grilled onions and barbecue sauce. The small burger is actually the perfect size. My husband tried the regular size and wasn't able to finish. If you want fries, I'd suggest sharing it. One regular size is enough for two or even three people. They put a towering cup of fries in there and actually dump another heaping full cup of fries on top of everything. You get a ton of fries. And they are fresh cut and delicious. They even have a sign up to say which farm the potatoes of the day have come from. If you've ever seen Jaime Oliver's Food Revolution, Food Inc, or any of those movies that show you what's really in food, you'll be glad to know that Five Guys does not put any fillers in their meats. That means, no ground up eyeballs, intestines, tendons, and whatever else usually gets grind up, wash in amonia, and mixed with ground meat. And my husband is also crazy about the coke machine, which has a touch screen that allows you to create your own combo of flavors, like Raspberry Coke Zero. The only negative thing I have to say is the greasy air inside. I think they just need better ventilation because we usually come out smelling like grease. But the food is so good, we usually overlook it. If you care about your health and want the freshest and best quality ingredients, this is a great place.

Second time at this location. Both times the fries have been undercooked. This seems to be an issue only at this location. At the Temecula location the fries have been consistently excellent. After reading other reviews, I think this is a problem at this location. I will not return to this location ever again...

  • Gus G.

I've been there probably like 3 times and all 3 times have been alright. these burgers aren't that great. trying to compare them with IN&out is pointless cuz they don't come close to them. bottom line is, this place is overprice to their just "ok" burgers.

If I titled this review, it would be called either "Don't believe the hype!" or "Stop comparing to In-N-Out!" Five Guys is a good, standard burger that tastes nothing like In-N-Out, and thus should not be compared to it. It tastes like a home-made burger from your backyard BBQ, should you be a slightly-above average grill-master. Their standout features are big portions and unlimited toppings from their topping menu - - nice, but don't expect to see fancy cheeses or avocado. Beware: Their onions aren't caramelized, and their bell peppers aren't grilled - kinda makes the burger a bit funky, but nothing "wrong," per se. People are love or hate with their fries, so give them a shot - - big portions of crispy, medium-width, natural-cut style fries. Cajun seasoning an option, or get it on the side if you're unsure you like it. Solid customer service, clean environment. Prices could be $.50-1.00 lower, but they use fresh ingredients of high quality. Kinda of like the Chipotle of the burger world, but less flavor.

Finally tried this place... Got a burger with everything. I liked that they had mushrooms, but it was mediocre at best, like something that would have been made at a BBQ. The fries were horrible. Very dissapointed :/ Given that Corona/ Norco has a lot of other burger places (i.e. Burger Basket, Cal Oaks, Norco City Grill) that tastes a lot better I highly doubt I'll come here again. Too expensive and In & Out is definitely better. CLEVER: they had 5 guys working that night...

Wow! $32 for 4 burgers, 1 large fry and 2 small drinks. Now I know why they take credit cards. But the big question - Are they better than In-N-Out? After finishing our burgers, our group voted 4 out of 4 for In-n-Out. The mushrooms are a nice touch. I liked them. But, the patties were crumbly and had very little flavor. Fries looked great, large cut with the skin, but eating them, I'll still take In-n-Out. Inside, the place was great, bright, clean and inviting. As part of the decorations, they had posters up all around the place of reviews that voted them best burger in that area, mainly on the east coast. It seemed as if they needed to tell us they were good. I just kept thinking about all those awards .... maybe it's only because they didn't have In-n-Out back east. I'll take In-n-Out any day. It's cheaper too!

Tip: If you just order the regular burger, it comes with two patties. So make sure to order the little burgers if you just want just one! I got the Little Cheeseburger with grilled onions and fries. The cheese burger was good, though the onions weren't really that grilled, and I don't think it was worth $4. They give you a ton of fries and they were cooked perfectly, so worth the price. The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the only complaint I have is there is no waiting area for to-go orders. I had to stand awkwardly in front of the counter, in the way of people who were trying to get ketchup and soda. Overally, very good, lives up to the hype!

Stick with In n Out or Wendy's ~ much cheaper, better tasting, and quicker service. I can't believe the prices here! And they don't offer a combo meal either. If you get a regular burger, large fries and large drink then you better have a $20 on you to pay...and don't expect a ten dollar bill in your change because it's NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!

Overpriced plain tasting burger. Ordering is confusing. I ordered a burger and they automatically gave me a double. Also a good burger doesn't need a bunch of extra generic toppings (which you have to pay for) to make it taste good but this one needed help. In N Out is a much better burger at a much better price.

I've been here twice now; the first time was 'meh' but everyone continued saying good things about it so I thought to give it a second try. I've had their burgers and their hot dogs; the ingredients seem fresh and the burger cooked well but there is just something missing?!? I don't know what, but it is no In n' Out burger. The cajun french fries are pretty unique but again, I much prefer In n' Out french fries. You get free peanuts but I don't think that is enough of a draw for me to want to go again. I have a feeling I'll end up there to give it a 3rd try (since it is so conveniently located near my residence); but unfortunately if at the time, I am right of mind, I'll drive a little further down the road to the In n' Out burger. (especially since 5 Guys cost 2x more than In n' Out... inferior product for more expensive... crazy)!!! I do have to say, the employees are all very friendly. I had a cut and one of the guys in the back brought me out a bandaide, much appreciated. Keep up the good work!

I have to say I was skeptical about Five Guys. How good could a franchise fast food burger place be? Everyone compared it to In and Out, and quite frankly I don't know what the big hype is about with In and Out. For a franchise fast food joint, yes, In and Out has great quality. But if i want a good burger I'm going to go to Umami or Father's Office. With that being said, I was surprised with how much I enjoyed Five Guys. Their french fries are fresh not oily or greasy, crunchy and crisp. And their burger is fantastic. the meat is tender, and the toppings!! I love the saute mushrooms, grilled onions, jalapenos, and fresh tomatoes. Yummy, the toppings are what makes this burger so juicy and delicious.

Pros: - Like you can choose the different toppings (although they didn't get the order correct). - One order of fries will feed a party of 4 - Enjoyed the Cajun spice you can put ontop of the fries (you can get it on the side and sprinkle it yourself). - Nice drink selection - Free peanuts Cons: - Kept thinking about In-N-Out while I was eating this hamburger - The tables are awkward to sit at if you have a larger group - The raw onions were chopped rather than nice rings of onions so it was hard to eat them in the burger. - The meat did not cover the bun (so excess bun-age).

Kinda $$ for a burger. Small interior, long line and confusing menu options. Least you can fill up on peanuts while you wait. I'll stick to In-n-Out when i need a gut bomb.

They finally opened one in Corona! Just wish they had a long time ago. Place get's packed during lunch hours of course. I always order a burger with the A1 sauce, grilled onions, lettuce, cheese, and tomato. Order a regular fry because they give you twice the portion! Two regular size fries were more than enough for my two friends and I. I prefer cajun over the regular fries. They serve everything in a bag so we end up just ripping the bag open when we eat there :)

I think I may be biased since I was born and raised in So Cal, but there is no comparison to my beloved In N Out. I will say though, they are good, its not on the same level . As I walked in, I was greeted fast and very friendly, (I must have had the " this is my first time here" look on my face), the guy at the counter was very helpful in explaining the menu to me. I got the little bacon cheeseburger, was nice size and perfectly cooked, the bacon was nicely crispy, . Cant comment on the fries since I didn't have them. I'll go back since they are opening one closer to me.

Everyone's told me this place is better than In-N-Out, and I don't know if I'd go that far, but there are definitely some areas where Five Guys shines. The fries left much to be desired, but to be fair, I don't care for In-N-Out's either unless they're covered in animal-style goodness. We got the Cajun ones here, and they weren't nearly as Cajun-y as I was hoping. The burger was great. A little small for the price, I'd say, but the patty itself was super juicy and flavorful. Their variety of toppings is solid, and you get free peanuts which is cool. I'd say overall compared to In-N-Out the fries are lacking, the burger is better, and the price is a little steeper. Worth it if you're willing to shell out a few more bucks.

This was the 2nd time I tried Five guys. This first time I was not happy and this time I was really not happy. Their burgers are messy and fall apart all over the place. Their fries are nasty and way overcooked. I think it is overpriced as well. I will not go back there again. I have no idea why people always argue with me about how Five Guys is better than In N Out. Five guys only one thing over In N Out.... bacon. I will not be going back to Five guys ever again!

Good burgers & fries (so many fries too little time) price a little high. Free peanuts are a homey touch.

I arrived with high expectations. I got the single cheeseburger which had eye appeal...but the only taste to the burger was the pickle which was neither sweet, dill nor a true bread & butter. The greasy french fry bag was overflowing with Idaho fries with jackets on. The "dirty" skin taste was over powering. The testimonials, dominant on the walls, told me I was dining on the best burger ever.

I have mixed feelings about this place. Totally reminds me of what I can BBQ at home when making from scratch. I understand this is "fast food" but I still give it a "Meh" Im just saying... there are better fast food burger joints out there!

My first trip here, the staff was nice to explain how the menu works and the patties in the different burgers. I had the regular bacon cheeseburger which is 2 patties and fries. I liked the fries and noticed after sitting down a while that they were being double fried for that extra crispiness. The burger toppings were very fresh and good, the bacon (who can mess up bacon?) was also good. But lets get to the meat of it. The meat was juicy and cooked well and warm but it was basically flavorless, I mean alittle seasoning salt wouldnt kill you. As everyone else is saying it doesnt replace In and Out but I may go for a change a few times a year.

Best burger I've ever had! My daughter works at an In and Out for five years and I told her I've found a better place for the best burger in town!

So...I gave them another try. I'm glad I did, cause o-m-goodness it was worth it. THIS time around I put in ALL the toppings I wanted and LOVED the burger. I'm still in love with In-N-Out, but I can now say Yay I'm a Fan! The only gripe I've got is that I'm still not a fan of their fries. I like mine crunchy like McDonald's....I know, I said it. Frozen McDonald fries, mmmmmmm.

I'm a fan - I think that the burgers are awesome, as good if not better than In-N-Out, the standard bearer of great quick-service burgers in California...however, and I think that I'm in the minority here, but the french fries are NOT as good as what I get at I-N-O...your mileage may vary - but the burgers are fresh not frozen, come with as many or as few condiments as you'd like and super tasty. I'm craving one of the burgers right now...just not the fries, and that's OK with me!

I had some high expectations of this place since I had heard that they were expanding with a ton of new store locations, and a few friends had raved about it, but eh, it was just alright. The burger itself was really really greasy. I just felt it was like a Burger King-like burger. The fries were good though - we tried the regular and cajun style, and both were pretty decent. I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to go back to this place though. In 'n' Out still wins. (And the peanuts just cause problems b/c of allergy issues).

Finally another option nearby other than In N Out or the typical fast food chain. I like the idea of getting to choose whatever toppings you want. So if it sucks then it's your fault! The fries are just OK. I like the Cajun seasoned fries. It is a little pricier than In N Out or other chains. The food is fresh and made to order. I like the atmosphere. Nice change in pace.

I have been to the Five Guys in La Quinta. I decided to try this one. Service was good. I ordered and received my food very fast. I took my food home. Of course you get tons of French fries. The hamburger I ordered was just the junior. For some reason the meat tasted strange. I was to afraid to eat it after one bite. I ended up throwing it away.

Was hoping for more. The burger IS better than IN N OUT's...but that is not saying much. Fries were saggy soft and just nasty. The produce was fresh and thick. The workers were AWESOME FRIENDLY and helpful.

Had lunch there today, first Five Guys experience. I have heard they are compared a lot to In-N-Out so I really wanted to like this place. Ordered four burgers and cajun fires. Burgers were good, but not as good as an In-N-Out burger and especially NOT at twice the price. Cajun fries were very hot both temperature and spice wise, and thought they were just OK. Half the seasoning would have been better to taste some of the potato. Very nice selection of soft drinks, all Coke products with Cherry Coke, Coke Zero, Caffeine free diet Coke and Vault. Free peanuts to scoop out while you wait for your food, but thought the place lacked desire to stay. They bag your food no matter if you eat there or are taking home. Also found all the burgers are doubles, the "little" burgers are singles. Chose to have grilled onions on mine like I love from In-N-Out, and chose jalapenos like my favorite burger from Carls Jr. Onions were grilled but lacked carmelization and the jalapenos looked fresh but lacked any flavor (go figure!). Would go back again, like I said the burgers were good, but I think I would skip the fries all together. Price doesn't justify taste in my opinion, I still prefer In-N-Out.
