Stopped by on a Friday night. Easy parking! Long line but moved FAST. Got our dogs to go with minimum wait time. DELICIOUS!! Will definitely be heading back.

I'm going to keep it simple... These dogs are HELLA good and creative. After a weekend of straight partying in Hollywood (Hollywood style lol), this is definitely what I needed in my belly. I ordered the Scott Biaoli dog.. Instead of the grilled onions, I got mine with crispy onions! I can't even explain the party that was happening in my mouth when I took my first bite! I'm really not a "hotdog eater" (haha), but this ish was so good! I've made a promise to myself that I'm coming back sober and not hungover.. Even though I don't think that will change the awesome dogs this place makes! Definitely worth a try people!

The service was excellent, and our server and the chefs were immensely hospitable. Unfortunately the food incredibly greasey. Prior to this, I'd eaten at the Thousand Oaks location. The key difference I found between the two locations was the level of grease in the dogs + bread. It even impacted the flavors, which were far more pronounced and distinct with less grease. With the additional grease, the flavors were muted and less impressionable. Hawaiian bread is already very buttery. Add meat grease and your oily/buttery/grease content hits the roof. After a great meal at Dog Haus Thousand Oaks, I decided that the location closest to me would be my new cheat day treat. However, the amount of grease in two hot dogs gave me toxic shock. I felt immediately ill afterward and was K.O for the rest of the weekend. I'd re-visit in a heartbeat (provided my heart doesn't explode) if they could manage the grease better. I'll happily re-review when / if they do.

Came here (finally) for the first time Sunday, 9/7/15. Must have been a fluke moment because there was only 1 person in line ordering and plenty of open tables (a good thing, since I had my handicapped daughter with me in a special chair). Hard to believe for a Labor Day holiday weekend. Ordered THE FONZ -- sausage with pastrami and mozzarella, fries, drink. LOVED the sandwich, though if I were making this for myself at home I'd add something like onions, pepperacini, diced cucumber -- something to add just a bit of contrast to what is otherwise a meat lovers paradise. Fries - this would be my only complaint and it's not a biggie, but mine were more "pieces" than whole fries. PITA trying to eat all these little things. Nevertheless, not overly greasy or over-salted. Some reviewers here take issue with the fact this was an original taco bell for a long time. It doesn't make a difference really -- this place has it's own vibe and certainly doesn't feel like a reinvented TB by any means. AND -- FINALLY!!! A place that ROCKS IT -- Dokken, Iron Maiden, Aerosmith -- if you're a rock/metal fan this is heaven -- no elevator music, CW, R&B, etc. THANK YOU GOD FOR THIS PLACE. The other thing people mention negatively is the fact that the line to order is immediately in the doorway, and I can see how that could be a bit off-putting. However, it's difficult to imagine an alternate place to order from -- this is a small place, and short of expanding into the parking lot and rearranging the layout, it is what it is. I'll tell you this much -- can't wait to come back and try a burger, and my wife has been wanting to come here since I showed her the place after it had opened. As someone else said, this is that little place you can come to and just hang out with a friend or date, have some good food, listen to good tunes, and just chill.

For a place called the Dog Haus, the burgers are the thing to get. This former Taco Bell doesn't have much in the way of ambiance but makes up for it in tasty little burgers. A quality fast casual place that doesn't cost much more than the places with a drive-thru has become one of my go-tos for a burger in Burbank.

Not going to lie, was pretty disappointed with my meal when I came here with my boyfriend (especially on the heels of a phenomenal meal at the Dog Haus in Thousand Oaks for a yelp event). My boyfriend had a serious craving for their tots and we opted to get the chili cheese tots. He also chose a bratwurst sausage to be "corn-dogged" and I got the Scott Baioli. Let me say, NONE of our food was hot....it was weird, but it all seemed like it had been sitting out for a while. The tots were just ok, probably won't go the chili cheese route again. My Scott Baioli was ridiculously greasy/oily. When I tried to pick it up to eat it, my hawaiian rolls ended up splitting right down the middle and the dog ended up falling out. I had to end up eating it with a knife and fork Boyfriend's corn dog was decent. The batter could have been a little more crisp. When the boyfriend was asking the guy behind the register for suggestions on which sausage to corn dog...the guy was absolutely clueless. Honestly, if we hadn't had the stellar dinner at the yelp event the week before, the meal we had here wouldn't have us coming back.

Hot dogs and sausages have certainly evolved from the simple bun with ketchup of our youth. Nowadays, these frankfurters and sausages are nothing short of craft artistry with unique proteins used, toppings, and even a variety of breads/buns. Dog Haus hit the artist hot dog scene in Pasadena a few years back and hasn't slowed down with franchised establishments in a few states and locations set to open in Los Angeles in pretty much every neighborhood. Dog Haus in Burbank is a franchised location (not one of the company-owned locations in Pasadena); so it could be hit or miss. How did it go? Sadly, not as well as expected per my amazing experience in Pasadena or based on the plethora of high reviews. This Dog Haus is relatively-recently opened in the old Taco Bell building across from WB Studios. The architecture is a bit off-putting if you live in the area merely because it is still the Taco Bell building but painted black. That TB was super gross and dirty so I couldn't get that image out of my head. Parking is a pain as it is a bit tough to turn into the tiny one way in -and -out lot. Save the hassle and find a street spot. Once inside, Dog Haus attempted to make the spot airy and hip with wooden tables, exposed industrial details, and smooth, concrete floors while music such as Metallica pierces your ear drums. Regardless of this effort, it is small and the line to order begins immediately by the door so it is congested, to say the least. For those unfamiliar, Dog Haus offers signature-crafted unique beef skinless dogs, gourmet sausages, hamburgers, and a build-your-own option which allows you to pick a protein, toppings, cheeses, sauces, etc. There are also kids' options, milkshakes/floats, and sides such as their famous tater tots. The great thing I learned at the counter was that anything can be made with a veggie dog (yay!) which wasn't stipulated on the menu. I wanted to build my own but I was overwhelmed and there was a long line so I went with a Sooo Cali dog (argula, spicy basil aioli, crispy onions, tomato -- veggie version-- $5.99) to-go while my boyfriend ordered The Cowboy (smoked bacon, white American cheese, crispy onions, and BBQ sauce -- $5.99 upgraded to a combo with fries and a drink for $2.99). So how did our choices fare? I was comparing my experience to Pasadena so I was VERY let down when the food arrived. Both of our dogs looked sloppy and simply heaped with crispy toppings. The ratio of onions to any other topping was insane! Can I get a dog with my onions, please?! Not to mention, I asked for mine to go and they had no clam shell, foil, or ANYTHING to cover my dog! They wanted me to just carry it out exposed in a bag! What the...?! Even after we asked for ANYTHING to cover it with; the employee was dumbfounded and said there was nothing. SUPER ODD that they are not prepared for take out/take home orders. Aside from the messy presentation, the flavors of The Cowboy was pretty good and the King's Hawaiian rolls were toasted perfectly. My veggie dog didn't hold out for the next day (all the toppings were nasty and had to be discarded) but the actual veggie dog was tasty and didn't taste too soy-ish. The fries were horrible though. Not warm enough and tasted completely stale. We debated sending them back but my boyfriend was starving. Service was okay. The male order-taker was friendly and knowledgeable so he was great but the girl delivering our food who didn't know about take out was "out of it". Overall, I was let down based on previous experiences at other locations and my boyfriend's first Dog Haus experience was not a good one. The eatery is tiny, the food was not fresh and terribly presented, and the service was meh. Perhaps it was a bad night as there are great reviews, food photos, and I know from personal experience how wonderful it was in the past; or perhaps it is because I went to the first-opened Pasadena location but whatever it is: it wasn't up to par at all. I would consider coming back or instead waiting for the two locations opening also in the neighborhood (Studio City and North Hollywood) but for now; it was less than expected. Not horrible but not what is expected from the supposed top dog in the business.

So this was yummy! This was my first time trying the Dog Haus so I didn't get crazy adventurous. I hate wasting food and some of the combinations sound like I might not actually enjoy them. I ordered the chili dog with Fritos on top (don't know the name). You can imagine how it tasted because it's pretty basic. I love chili cheese dogs though so I was excited that they were throwing Fritos in with it. What a perfect addition! The dog was really yummy. It was firm and tasted more like a sausage than a hot dog. It had more flavor, spice and texture than a regular hot dog. The chili was good too. Bad chili really ruins a chili dog. I would definitely get this again. My husband had a sausage with coleslaw, peanut sauce and peanuts on top. He didn't like it. He thought the slaw was too sweet and didn't like the peanut sauce. I can't imagine this tasting good on a sausage anyway so I can't really judge the restaurant. Apparently other people like it. He ordered it so he thought he'd like it. I would have never ordered it because I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like it. It looked like decent slaw though. I'll try another type of hot dog next time or perhaps a burger. Anything on a Hawaiian roll rocks my world anyway.

Shared the Bad Mutha Klucka and The Fonz with my boyfriend. Enjoy the fact they use Kings Hawaiian, but we couldn't finish them. They are flavorful, but are really HEAVY meals! I would recommend just sharing one with a side of tots.

Dog Haus is a great addition to the Toluca Lake/studio area! Perfect for a casual quick lunch or an after work bite to eat. There are a wonderful mixture of toppings and some delicious dogs you can get - I like the one with kimchi and a fried egg, of course doused in sriracha. They've said their most popular is the fig & pig hot dog; which sounds delicious (if only I ate swine). There's some parking in a mini lot, so it should be pretty easy to snag a spot. In addition to the hot dogs, their sides are great too. Tots and fries for the win! I think it's definitely worth stopping by and seeing if it suits your fancy. Their employees are cute and very nice (at least at time of review) which is always a plus!

Dog Haus keeps me coming back. I don't know what it is about this place, but it makes me feel so comfortable. You know how people have that "spot" that they adopt for their group of friends? I think this is it. Das Brat and The Oldtown Dog. Das Brat was a good sausage. Maybe it was just me, but the white cheddar didn't really come into play until about halfway into the dog, but damn did the flavor really make me love it. The sausage had a nice tough bite to it, and the toppings, especially the cheese, really took this one a long way. The Oldtown Dog was a hotdog that kept up with the Das Brat sausage. I think I maybe liked this one better. The hotdogs have this smokey flavor and snap to them that is like a drug. The cheese tots were also on point again. I'll see you soon Dog Haus.

What a catching name... Dog Haus! Great outdoor seating area. Enjoy the food & the sun! Two big community tables and few tables inside the restaurant. The Service: Only one staff taking order at the counter. The line gets long during lunch hours. But many staffs working at the grill and kitchen, food is served pretty quickly. They will give you a number after ordering and the staff will deliver the food to your table. The Food: Tae Kwon Dog - bulgogi glaze, kimchi, fried egg, korean chili powder. Love the fried egg on my dog! But the bulgogi glaze is a little bit too sweet for me. The kimchi is not spicy enough. Another Night In Bangkok - spicy thai red currywurst, peanut sauce, Asian slaw, crushed peanuts. Great texture with the crushed peanuts. Smoked Bacon Wrapped Dog - LOVE LOVE LOVE the bacon wrapped dog. Before only could find it at the Mexican street food vendors. The dog is so flavorful with the bacon juice! They topped with house slaw. The crunchiness of the cabbage goes so well with bacon dog! Have to come back and try out different kind of dog, sausage and burger!! BTW, they don't use regular "hot dog buns"... they use King's Hawaiian sweet rolls!!! Double yummy~ The Parking: Private lot (free), street metered parking on Olive and street parking at residential area (side street)

Let me start with this equation: Hawaiian Sweet Bread + Hot Dogs = Magic. I had the tae kwon dog, the freiburger, fries and tater tots. Loved everything. Everything was destroyed within a matter of minutes. No leftovers. I will be back.

A solid 4 stars. This place has lots of cool hot dogs and sausages-- some stuff they put on there you'd never think to do. The one I tried, Old Town, was really tasty. It has a little bit of spice to it, but isn't too hot. With any of the sausages and hot dogs, you're able to switch out for a different type of dog/sausage (meat/veggie) and can edit your order as you please. Lots of customization available here. Their onion rings tasted beer battered and were fried to a perfect crisp! The buns they use are different than regular hot dog buns. They're pretty thick, so you're getting a lot of dough, but that's kind of needed so your dog stays together (with all the sauce and toppings). The type of bread is different too, almost tastes like Hawaiian bread. They have their own private parking lot, but it's rather small. We ended up parking nearby on the street. The only I didn't give 5 stars is the price. Each dog/sausage is around $6-8. When you add in a side, a drink, and tax, it's around $15/person! That's a lot for a hot dog. I do appreciate that they use free range eggs though. (=

OMG! How can I give 5 stars to a hot dog/ hamburger place? Because it's sooooo good! I've only been here once and I had the Das Brat but I'll be back to try others. All I can't tell you now is that Das Brat was the most flavorful sausage on a bun that I've ever had. One friend kept it Paleo by having one of their hamburgers (no cheese) with a lettuce wrap, and sweet potato fries. They also serve a good selection of bottled beers. One complaint is about the layout of the place. The entrance/exit is right by the order line and the trash. This makes for a collision of people entering, standing in line, and those who are bussing their tray and trying to leave! Oh well, it must have looked good on paper!

I haven't eaten a corn dog since I was a kid at summer camp. Now I'm a vegetarian so I didn't even think of hot dogs/corn dogs until my friend brought me here. They have veggie dogs! I've been here three times this week alone! The dogs are tasty. I've only tried the veggie corn dogs (they have regular, Italian, and Smoked Apple) and they are all delicious! I like their tater tots as well. ("Hey man gimme some of your tots!") The staff here is so nice. They make nice conversation, check up on you, and help you out with anything they can. There are condiments galore! I love curry ketchup (they have that), and plain yellow mustard (they have that, too), and so much more. Oh my goodness, this is my new favourite place after work for an easy meal and a cold beer (I like dark beers, so I get the "Downtown Brown). So good!

  • Kendal W.

It was ok. They look better than they actually taste. Everything was made on a Hawaiian sweet roll. The tater tots were soggy. Don't get the hype?!?

Came here on a trip up to NorCal - stopped by for lunch with my brother cause he raved about this place. Parking wasn't too bad - found a spot on the street but they do have a little parking lot. Line moved quickly - they were busy because it was a Friday lunch break. I ordered the veggie Apple sausage with caramelized onions, maple syrup Sriracha sauce, and jalapeños. Got it with a side of tater tots and a chocolate shake. The shake was great - creamy, refreshing and the right amount of chocolate-ness. The tater tots were crisp and golden brown. And my self-created sausage was PHENOMENAL. Literally, an explosion of flavor with the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The Hawaiian roll complimented the flavors and soaked up all the delicious maple syrup Sriracha sauce. Amazing. I will definitely come back next time I'm in town.

had the scott baioli with chili. Amazing doesnt cover it but BEWARE ... this is a knife and fork meal. Perfect blend of bacon, onions, cheese and chili. Also had the asian slaw. Also winner. Wait was a tad long but soooo worth it. Next time I go I sit down and enjoy a brew. They have some seriously good choices. Also I might try the make your own since some of the sausages sounded amazing.

This is a place that I wanted to like more than I did. It's a solid 3.7/5. The hot dogs have a bit too much going on for my taste. Give me a classic Dodger Dog with ketchup, mustard, and onions and my day is made.

A newer, smaller, tidier version of the Pasadena dog haven. It stands alone in an odd spot on Olive Ave. Nothing really around it. Not a place to stop if you're walking by because there is no reason to walk by. Empty lots and businesses. The location, however, is of no circumstance. The place was packed. A line out the door. It's no secret. This place is fantastic. A word to the wise, order two beers because if you happen to reach the bottom of the cup and want another to finish your meal, forget it. Dog Haus is expanding and for good reason. You'll never leave one of their joints feeling like your buck was not well spent. Dogs, sausages, or burgers, you can never go wrong. The ringer burger was perfect. The meat is so juicy and fresh it makes those premade patties seem so sad and wrong to serve. Juicy till the last bite. Great fixings and, of course, served on sliced Hawaiian sweet rolls. Pig Lebowski is a wiener and a winner. Polish sausage, fries, slaw, and BBQ sauce. Every ingredient is done right. No corners cut. No store bought crap. All made fresh and delicious. If you're in the area, stop. If you've never had a Dog Haus experience, you're missing out. They know what they're doing, and what they're doing is making me think about them when I'm planning my next outing. Continue to cover LA, Dog Haus.

Cheap & Delicious - those are the two qualities I look for in finding a food spot. Known for hamburgers and hotdogs this place adds a little twist to the everyday hotdog and burger. Instead of using regular buns, they use Hawaiian bread - delicious, warm, soft, sweet Hawaiian bread. While delicious it kind of makes eating the food a little challenging and a lot messy. For this visit my boyfriend and I ordered: Loveboat fries, Pig & Fig hotdog, and the Little Mule burger. The Loveboat fries was delicious - fries topped with awesome homemade chili and cole slaw (definitely must eat with a fork). Pig & Fig hotdog comes topped with thinly sliced almonds and caramelized onions (blanking on the rest of the ingredients), while it was tasty I was not a big fan - for me the combination of ingredients just did not mesh well together. Little Mule burger comes with a hefty patty, lettuce, tomatoes, fried egg, American cheese, and avocado - boy oh boy was this burger good. Everything here is made fresh to order, food is cheap, and the selection of is absolutely endless - you can even create your own... ***Everything totaled us $21 and it was a large amount of food*** Definitely will be back for more and definitely would recommend.

That was waaaaayyyyy too good!! I'm so so so full! I had the Little Leaguer, coworker had the Das Brat, and we shared fries... both with water (which of course, made it healthy! :P). I loved my dog! It was big, tasty, with lots of toppings. Very heavy meal...but really good. I wasn't a huge fan of the fries and wish we had ordered the onion rings...but really, you don't even need a side. Personally, I thought the prices were a-ok. A street vendor hot dog typically costs between $4 and $5 bucks, so for $5.99 i think it's more than fair. I will try not to be back too often...although, they are down the street from my office :)

Visiting Warner Brothers Studios I was looking for a cheap, fun place to take my niece and daughter. I checked the Yelp reviews and they were right on, as usual. I love hot dogs, but they have to be good, I got the Downtown Dog (no ketchup please, I'm not 3!) and it was awesomeness on a bun! They use those great Hawaiian rolls as buns, it gets super messy, but boy is it worth it! There are lots of napkins on the tables for a reason. We arrived around 11:30 on a Friday and there were a few people in there, but by the time we left there was a line and every seat was filled - get there early to nab a seat. Mostly guys there for some reason (hear that, ladies?), super friendly servers and hip atmosphere. Only 1/2 mile from WB Studios, I highly recommend this place if you're a dog (or burger) lover!

  • Jeannette G.

What better place to go to on National Hamburger Day especially when they double the meat for free! Doubling the meat was not such a great idea as the four mini Hawaiian rolls that was holding the burger together, wasn't really holding up. This combination got to be a bit messy and overall difficult to eat and I'm not a fan of eating a hamburger with a fork and knife - that is just not right. Small parking lot and small eating area. Overall, good if not too busy.

I've also tried the following:..... Motley blue 2.0 - I always make it a double. The extra beef patty makes the burger taste better. Just delicious. .... The same goes with the cheese fries.

Great atmosphere. Walk up and order, they deliver it to you. Friendly staff. I had the Little Leaguer, a chili dog with cheese, Fritos, and onions. The dog itself was fantastic - definitely not outta the pack. Also had fries, which complemented nicely. They've got some unique, "exotic" dog combos. If I didn't live across the country, I'd be here at least once a week! Stop here after taking the WB studio tour, right across the street.

I had Dog Haus finally after hearing good things about their offerings from several friends. I went with the downtown dog. That dog was wrapped in bacon topped with bell peppers, caramelized onions, mayo, ketchup & yellow mustard. It was essentially the best dirt dawg you could possibly have without making it yourself. I love that they use king's hawaiian bread as its full of flavor, is soft and toasts really well. It went perfect with the dog itself which has a nice snap and flavor to it. The smoked bacon that wrapped the dog and all the other toppings were great with it. It was a pretty good dog. I remember when the space Dog Haus occupies was a Taco Bell... I never thought that would change having gone to HS in the city of Burbank. Im sure the studio folks are happy about the change. I'll have to go back and try another one of their offerings with some tater tots in the future.

Genius concept I tell you, just genius. Love the creative names of their dogs! I'm always a sucker for those kinds of things. Moving on - I got the "Bad Mutha Clucka!" cuz I wanted a chicken dog and was not disappointed! It was tasty, unique and spot on with the description - a win-win in my book and I would gladly get this one again. Our order (I had 2 other folks with me on the same check) got screwed up but we ended up being comped some extra fries and another dog so all was well. Service was friendly - with lines going out the door I can imagine it gets a little hectic in there but they were all on point and the food came out in a decent amount of time. Parking lot in the back or side streets. Interior is mainly communal seating but there are individual tables available - these go quick. Yay! I'm a fan!

So my buddy has been insisting we give this place a try! He's had it a few times and swears by it. Based on this, and this alone, I gave this place a try. Honestly wasn't feeling a wurst that day so I went with the following: Love Boat tater tots - Freshly cooked tater tots topped with chili & fresh slaw. Delicious! Worth going back for this alone. Ava Maria burger - Very underwhelmed. Its as if the meat / mushroom + onion saute wasn't seasoned AT ALL. Very bland. The Hawaiian rolls are a good touch but aside from that there's nothing very special about this burger. The burger left a lot to be desired but the Love Boat was delicious! So was their Cream Soda. Can't wait to go back and try the Kung Pao sausage which I later saw on their Instagram. Update: Tried the Kung Pao Cajun on 2/25 and it was pretty good. The crunchy from the peanuts and the heat from the sausage work well together but the hoison sauce was a little overpowering. Good enough to send me back next time I'm in the area. My buddy ordered a shake and asked for half caramel and half white chocolate. What he got... plain vanilla.

Tae Kwon dog 5/5 - My go to dog. The bulgogi sauce on it is awesome. The Freiburger 5/5 - Stuffed with fries. That's all you need to know. Fries 5/5 - Awesome Tater Tots 5/5 - Very good All hot dogs and hamburgers are served on Hawaiian rolls. Service 5/5

I had went to the alhambra location a few years ago, and thought that Dog Haus was average; I thought that their hawaiian buns were unique but not that good. However, upon coming to the Burbank location a few years later, I was very impressed with what I saw and tasted. After ordering the Scott Baioli (smoked bacon, white american cheese, garlic aioli, carmelized onions), the food quickly arrived. Presentation was really nice, and the dog looked delicious. The Hawaiian buns were toasted, the cheese was melted perfectly, and I was really excited. Upon taking a bite, I was very impressed at the combination of the flavors and how juicy and flavorful the sausage was. It was a lot of food, and I was barely able to finish my hot dog. My friend, Tiffany L., enjoyed her Sooo Cali Hotdog with arugula, spicy basil aioli, crispy onions, tomatoes. The onions had a really nice crunch to it, and the avocado also really added to the hotdog. Because there was so much toppings on it, the hotdog got pretty messy. This visit was really changed my mind about Dog Haus. Not only is it cheap (around $5/6) but the taste was on point. My friend actually likes this place better than Wurstkuche, and I might actually have to agree with her. Yum!

If hot dogs were kung-fu, Dog Haus would be the Shaolin Temple. I'm easily impressed with hot dogs. My favorite spots have really good NY style dogs which satisfies me. Then I came here. Dog Haus is the gourmet twist on dogs. Yelp reviews don't really give this place justice, you have to go in and try a dog. There is no way to describe how amazing they are. No need to write a book here, just get in there and try one. It will soon be your favorite spot too!

The location in Pasadena is much better but! This place isn't bad. This used to be a Taco Bell, but Dog Haus successfully made it into the tasty place that it is today. I like ordering before and getting a number. There's a HUGE variety of dogs and hamburgers -- their onion rings are divine. Definitely recommending upping your game with a pastrami dog instead of the basic dog. And their buns? Using that King's Hawaiian bread in the mix is a great idea cause it just adds that perfect tinge of sweetness. You can't go wrong here no matter what you get so long as you're craving that all american flavor! Tots are great too!

I just got food and there is literally NO where to sit?!?!?!? If you know you have a crowded restaurant why don't you focus on tables instead of some illogical community benches that people are naturally going to "skip seats" in between them and people they don't know. THERE IS NEVER ANY WHERE TO SIT!!!!!!!!! Poor planning. Poor layout. Chaotic environment. Tripping over fatties! I want my money back.

I'll only eat a hotdog if I happen to be starving at Costco after I'm done shopping. But the hubs has been obsessing of this place ever since he heard about it on the Woody show so we decided to give it a try & it did not disappoint. He got the Oldtown Dog, bacon wrapped dog w/cooked jalapeños & cotija cheese.. It was freakin delicious that I wished I had ordered it. I got the Downtown Dog, bacon wrapped w/onions and peppers. It was okay, just note that the sautéed veggies are cooked until caramelized, leaving them very sweet. If that's your preference you'll love it, but I myself like it cooked but still a little crisp. We both shared an order of Chili Cheese Tots and I will forever crave those suckers.. It was sooo dang good! We couldn't even finish them eating them with our dogs. That being said I look forward coming back and giving their burgers a try, update coming soon.

It's been a while since I felt the need to write up a review... I had heard that this place was really good but frankly didn't think much about the place.... And then.... I finally ate at the one located in Burbank across from Warner Bros. I walked in and saw the "Burbank, California" sign above the counter and was immediately smitten - I love Burbank - It was packed with just about every kind of person you can imagine... guys is suits, old guys in tie-dye with birkenstocks, teenagers, families, hipsters and all. It was pretty cool to see so many diverse people and skin colors in one place on Saturday! We ordered a bunch of stuff that I am sure will cause me to have a heart-attack (burgers, corn-dogs, tater tots, etc) Since I had never been there (...and wasn't sure if I ever would want to come back) I ordered a corn dog and a hot dog too... I figured I would give everything at least a bite or two to give this place an honest chance to live to up to the hype from my friends... It was AMAZING! The burger buns were comprised of 4 hawaiian bread pieces on top and bottom. The burger had an egg over easy on top and then there were fries in the burger covered in cheese... WOW! It was pretty inexpensive and it was enough all alone to make my belly full! BUT since I ordered a bunch of other stuff I kept eating... Its a miracle I didn't make myself sick with all food I ate but everything was so yummy I just had to keep eating. I almost forgot to mention that they sell beer - Not a huge selection - BUT I ordered a PB and got a funny beer cozy! It was a nice touch!! I hate most places and rarely feel compelled to write up a review but this place warranted it. LOVE LOVE and get the beer cozy! it was hilarious! All I needed was a styrofoam cooler for it to make the experience complete!

Meat. Do ya like Meat? And bread? With lots of sauce poured all over it? Then you need to come here. Dog Haus is definitely doing something original here. The Hawaiin Bread as buns is great. There isnt anything special about their tots or fries, so I wouldn't go for them. But hot dog! A whole combo for $10 isn't a bank breaker, so why not? I first tried the Freiburger and tbh, it had too much going on. I couldnt take in any flavor because I was bombarded with all of them. My husband had the Scott Baioli the first time and didn't like it. The next time I just ordered their cheese tots and I didn't really like their cheese, but they were deep fried to perfection. I had a bite of my husband's Bad Mutha Clucka and that was really flavorful. I've been here twice now and each time I leave with a stomach ache. No joke. But that prob has more to do with the fact that I don't eat a lot of bread. Or meat. But if you do, then I think you will like this place. Service is friendly and they are always coming by and checking in and taking away empty baskets. It's nice to have in Burbank too. Not too many places with personality like this one.

It seriously felt like I died and went to Heaven, burger Heaven that is. That Hangover burger with a side of tots had my taste buds rocking. You could just taste the quality. Definitely had a foodgasm going. Next time I will try one of their dogs which looked amazing. This place is the shit!!!

This used to be a Taco Bell... but I'm so glad it turned in to Dog Haus. My friend & I decided to try this place out and arrived a little after 11am. It was pretty empty because they open at 11am so I was thrilled we avoided the crazy lines. Of course we had to try the hot dogs: my friend got the Old Town Dog (smoked bacon wrapped dog, caramelized onions, roasted jalapeños, chipotle mayo, cotija cheese) and I opted for the Downtown Dog (smoked bacon wrapped dog, caramelized onions, roasted bell peppers, mayo, mustard, ketchup). They were delicious! Next time we want to try some of their sides (tots, slaw, onion rings, chili, sweet potato fries) & their milk shakes!

Meh. Hot dog was way over cooked.. Seemed like I was chewing on a piece of leather on a soggy bun. And the kids meal was just sad.. First the menu says dog. So yea ok.. Dog, meaning just a plain hot dog right? No. It's drenched with nacho cheese and topped with burnt bacon bits and cold shredded yellow cheese. Of course the kid hated it. I mean how hard is it?? They're hot dogs for Christ sake. Smh. Thumbs down. The Pasadena one is way way better.

Just the cool kids hanging out in LA; yelping places to eat & Dog Haus came up with great reviews. We decide to stop by before our Conan taping... the lines weren't long & we found seating right away. We ordered our food & WOW! my gal-friend fell straight in love with her burger & root beer float. she couldn't stop raving at how delicious the RB float was.! not to mention, her delicious cheeseburger. And, I couldn't agree more! EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD! and the service-- excellent! Can't wait to taste another one of those Hawaiian roll burgers. :)

So let me just start by saying I am Armenian, therefore I love meat and heavy sauces, with that being said- I came to Dog Haus with a couple of my coworkers and the place kind of put me off. I'm not a big fan of high chairs and communal seating areas at restaurants. I like being able to sit with the party I am there with and be able to have a conversation over my meal. So that was strike one. I ended up ordering a burger, which I kind of now regret and wish I got a hot dog instead (since that is what they are known for). I got their Holy Aioli. Let me tell you, it was the heaviest burger I have ever had. It must have had 4 different kinds of sauce, insane amounts of grilled onions, bacon and cheese. It was just TOO MUCH. Add a sweet Hawaiian bread to it I felt like I was about to have a heart attack. I want to come back and try their hot dog one day, but I will never have another burger here again.

Some of the best sausage I've had in a while. A lot of people ask me if I prefer Dog Haus to Wurstküche in the arts district downtown, and I must say overall, this place does it for me. Great meat, unbelievably tasty Hawaiian buns, and loads of caramelized onions (most places skimp out on the onions... my favorite part). Wurstküche does have some wicked exotic meats, but it's not every day I would want rattlesnake sausage. The fries are also extremely addicting, and the burgers are cooked to perfection. I've also visited their location in Pasadena - both are great, but I prefer the Burbank location. Came here after a long day at Six Flags, best way to end a long day on coasters. Overall, a great place to get killer sausage and burgers.

  • Geoff B.

The flavor combinations here are amazing, each time I come here I try something different and am always blown away. Each of the hot dogs have unique flavors and textures, and with each dog/burger having their own theme makes this place more fun. I highly recommend the 'One night in Bangkok' for a hot dog and the 'Hangover' for a burger, the Asian slaw is amazing and the chili is just that, chili! No filler BS like beans or vegetables, just meat, seasonings and red sauce. Also the tater tots, I know, I know... Tater tots, yadda yadda yadda, but these are amazing as well.

  • Alex W.

Dog Haus is a nice welcome to the Burbank community. The sausages are good, burgers cheap. They have a nice selection of unique offerings, and I often go with the cheese or chili cheese tots to complement my burger. All in all, tasty offerings at a reasonable price.

Stopped by last Wednesday evening, for a Wednesday night it was pretty busy. We ordered and it took about 10-15 minutes to get our food, they had messed up on one of the orders and were very nice about it and corrected the order. Their fries are amazing and the bread the use for the burger and hot dogs are are my favorite part! Overall, it's not one of those places where I'd die to go to.

This is where my daughter wanted to come after our Warner Brother's tour. I was a little hesitant at first, considering I am vegetarian. To my surprise they had 3 different vegetarian hotdogs. Most places don't even have one but they had 3 and so many toppings to choose from. I chose the Veggie Italian dog, Sooo Cali style. It's topped with arugula, tomato, avocado, crispy onions, basil aioli and it's not on just any bun. It's on 3 king Hawaiian rolls. Makes me salivate just thinking about it. Best "hotdog" I've ever had. Great food and quick service! Although we got there right before the rush, so we didn't wait long, which was around 6:15, things even moved pretty quickly when things picked up. Highly recommend! Perfect for all ages.

When you need to cram your guts full of amazing grossness then go home and start to assimilate with your couch Dog Haus is the place to go. If you need to have a productive day after eating, don't go here. Gut bombs! Anyway, with the introduction out of the way, I love Dog Haus, hands down, the one in Pasadena is what got me started but now that there is one close by, I am going to become so fat that I will have to wash myself with a rag on a stick. People will have to cut parts of my house away to get me out to take me to the hospital. Ok, ok onward, Dog Haus is awesome, this one in particular is a really cool joint, it is literally an old Taco Bell so it comes from good stock, this place has been heavily modified from that place though, it is much more industrial inside, lots of metal, concrete, and wood. I'd say ample seating for such a small place they really did maximize seating space. My only gripe is that the service is pretty slow here, the times I have went they are never really that crowded and seem to not even have their common ingredients ready, I appreciate a from scratch meal but you are a restaurant have some of your stuff ready so you can get past bottle necks. On to the food, when you feel like cramming your face hole with tots covered in chili and cheese, there is nowhere else to go, literally I cannot think of a mother place but I can't imagine anywhere doing it any better, crispy tots, perfect spice in the chili, not too watery, not too chunky, the cheese I think is a mix between the fake nacho cheese and some real cheese, it's s very good combo, very tasty with any burger. Bang for my buck, I always get a burger, they come on a Hawaiian roll with many different types of toppings, sriracha mayo, bacon, fried eggs, slaw just to name a few, most of their burgers are themed in some manner so I am sure you can find one that suits you. I've had a few of their dogs and brats, they are good, I really like the little leaguer, which is a dog with Fritos and a ton of other stuff, I would have called it something like the trash can but whatever it is still really delicious. Brats are ok, they end up being too bland compared to the other options, perhaps I will try a few more but the burger is just so satisfying. This place is great, glad they are in Burbank, glad to see Burbank is becoming a more and more attractive place open businesses, cannot wait to go back. I always bring a friend.

Best hotdogs around town. The bread is phenomenal, sweet, doughy yet with nice crisp edges. The prices are reasonable for the amount and quality of the toppings provided.

  • Tiago T.

Hands down best hot dogs I've ever had! Their "Pig and the Fig" sausage is really unique with a strong kind of mustard topping mixed with a sweet fig sauce that makes it out of this world! Their Ava Maria burger is also phenomenal, so good I felt like it was melting in my mouth - mushrooms, mayo, cheese, who could ask for anything more? And all their menu items are served on Hawaiian Sweet rolls! Plus their tater tots are super crisp and the staff is super friendly. Can't wait to go back!

  • Alyssa K.

I came here for lunch before my friend and I went to an Ellen taping. The hotdogs were AMAZING! Who wouldn't like a hotdog in a sweet bread bun? I ordered the SOOO CALI with regular tater tots. I though it was very flavorful and delicious. I would love to come back here and try a different hotdog.

This place is crazy cool! I've been meaning to swing by and check it out -- now I'm glad I did. So I have two tests for any place selling sausages especially when they add the Germanic "Haus" to their name: 1) try the beer 2) try the brat They nailed it on both! I ordered "Da Brat" bratwurst without cheese and it was awesome. I drank a "White Rascal" while waiting -- one of my current favorite beers. Homie behind the counter was uber cool as well -- we had a laugh about him not recognizing Dax Shepard who was sitting at one of the tables.

Finally, a hot dog restaurant in the area. There are so many things on the menu that I want to try here. On the maiden voyage, I had the grand slam (bacon, egg, cheese, tator tots and sweet sriracha sauce), and the pig and the fig (minus the fig, since it was mixed with onion.) The grand slam was definitely my favorite, though the pig was just fine (just not really my thing.) Definitely will be back for more.

Oh so good! The food is delicious. My son got a kids hot dog and it came with cheese sauce, shredded cheese and bacon on it. He loved it! I tried it myself, pretty tasty (especially for a kids meal). I did the build your own burger. The burger was so juicy and with the Kings Hawaiian bun... Sweet and delicious. My husband got the old town dog, a bacon wrapped hot dog with great flavor and the perfect amount of heat. I would definitely return. Love this place.

Love everything here! Even their corn dogs! Even their cheesy tots! And of course, their hot dogs!! I mean, that Hawaiian bread bun...COME ON NOW! Genius idea! Haven't we all finished a full bag of Hawaiian bread alone?! I sure have! MULTIPLE TIMES, so when I heard that they actually have created it to be a hot dog bun... I had to go ASAP! My favorite is the Scott Bailoi! It had the truffle oil taste and the onions on it...ah, so good!

Friendly service. No bad experience here, all positive. Got here before the lunch rush. There's a big company across the street named Warner Bros as well as smaller companies within walking distance, so yea you wanna beat the lunch rush or dinner rush. If you can't then prepared to be stuck in line. Got the old town dog. Bacon wasn't too soft. It was crunchy and wrapped nicely around the hot dog. Spicier than I thought it would be for jalapeños, must've gotten the one with more seeds. Tater tots were crispy and not too oily. My friend got the chili cheese fries and loved it. Plenty of options on the menu and you can always customize your own dog if you don't like their signature dogs. Hurry up and eat here. Great food and reasonable prices.

Talk about a large portion for a single order . If your a hotdog fan, walking in here will be heavenly for you or your partner in crime . There is a nice selection of different hot dogs and toppings . Warning, getting carried away with ur order will lead into a nice and heavy food coma

Such an awesome place! Love all of the different combinations they have pre-planned, but also making your own is fantastic. My friend didn't like the Hawaiian buns, but I loved it. The onion rings are amazing too and who doesn't love tater tots? I'll definitely be back

Yes! Hot dog in Hawaiian bread? Delicious! Their menu is very appetizing, I had a hard time choosing my hotdog since everything looked amazing. After I made my selection I was very satisfied. Great, chill, laid back atmosphere. I liked their location, pricing and flavors! If you're in the area, try it, and go with something different something you wouldn't normally try, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I have tried Dog Haus 3 times and every time was better than the last. Once at the Pasadena location, where I tried a tricked out hot dog that blew my mind. I befriended a manager who handed me a free shirt. I should wear it more often to spread the word about these glorious eats. The 2nd time I was working on a commercial and the crew brought Dog Haus for lunch. I grabbed a Hangover burger and I knew this cheat day would be like no other. Decadent deliciousness that satisfies. Hearty and one of a kind. The most recent visit was my first visit at the Burbank location. I was grinning like a little kid on National Burger Day, already thrilled to be here. My mood got even more ecstatic when I realized they were upgrading everyone to a free additional patty. I ordered the Little Mule, which has avocado and an egg, and man, this thing is next level. I need to step up the weights and cardio this weekend because I'm getting another craving to return and tackle another double soon. Crazy delicious, don't sleep on this place!

Came here after watching Ellen around 5pm. Has its own parking lot. Line was short. Menu was a little overwhelming. I got the "Bad Motha Clucka" & my fiancé got the "Soo Cali" & we shared a side of tater tots. Bad Motha Clucka - chicken sausage. It was good, but I've had better so I guess I'm bias. It was hard to eat. Don't get me wrong, I love Hawaiian rolls but with a sausage... Everything was a mess! Soo Cali - Flavorful. I had a bite and I think it tasted better than the Motha Clucka. It was a good balance of flavors and the sausage was juicy! Tater Tots - I love tater tots. They were crispy and perfect! Only cost $2. Why not? Service was on point. Employees were nice & offered recommendations. Place and bathroom was clean.

One of my best friends and I make it a point to hang on Sunday. On that day of rest, we usually decompress by playing some video games, watching a movie, or working on some new project (yes, that last one can be decompression). However, at some point, we get hungry and as of late, Dog Haus has been our go-to spot. Holy crap balls - using Hawaiian Bread as buns is an idea EVERYONE should be doing and while Dog Haus may not be the first, they're definitely on the right train track. Their menu consists of burgers and dogs, but the varieties those two are available in are cah-ray-zy. Whether it's Asian fusion or some good ol' chili piled on, they've got you covered. I'll also go on record and say that their tater tot game is on point. Yes, I feel guilty after eating here, but for a moment, I feel like I got away with all the things and it feels good.

Wowww.... what a show! Great burgers, hot dogs and sausage links. The Hawaiian rolls are to die for! This was my first experience at Dog Haus and I felt like having a burger. After carefully reviewing all my options, I decided to go with the 'Holy Aioli'. Smoked bacon, while American cheese, garlic aioli, caramelized onions. Doesn't get any better than that people! Can't wait to go back and try their hot dogs and sausage links!

Dog Haus? Yes, please, and thank you. I never thought I'd be this excited over a sausage (get your filthy mind out of the gutter), but Jeebus Christ, this place rocked my taste buds. I tried The Fonz and it was simply amazing. Had a nice kick to it too. I kinda feel like I now have a mission to try them all. It just wouldn't be fair if I didn't. I mean the Hawaiian roll for the buns - genius!!!! Okay, now that I'm done drooling, let's discuss the rest... Came here on a late Tuesday afternoon on St. Patrick's Day There was plenty of parking. No lines at the register. Plenty of tables and bar seats available. The atmosphere was clean and simple. Had the get in, eat your dog, and get out kinda vibe, but not in a rushed or uncomfortable way. Food came out pretty quick. Oh and there's beer on tap. IPA and other hoppy flavors. Basic bbq sauce was delicious. Chipotle aioli sauce was $0.69 of mediocre and thats about the worst thing i could say. This place rocks & there goes my diet!

One of my favorite stops over a weekend in LA! Love how you see the meats in the butcher case window as you enter, the freshness is palpable. All dogs are served on a giant Hawaiian roll, making each dog a full meal and making the dog sturdier: these guys won't fall apart like other gourmet dogs, they're built to last to the final bite. SOOO CALI DOG: skinless all-beef dog with wild arugula, spicy basil aioli, crispy onions, avocado and tomato. Great quality dog, good mix of textures and flavors, but the green sauce was the best part, I want that stuff slathered on everything! THE PIG AND THE FIG: an upscale take on a dog, with Emmentaler-cheese-stuffed sausage, fig & onion relish, wild arugula, whole grain mustard, and sliced almonds. A classy, flavorful dog with a sweet kick to it. The cheese was oozing out of the sausage and really complemented the flavor of the meat. Liked this more than I thought! THE FONZ: BF's pick, featuring hot italian sausage and pastrami topped with melted mozzarella. Really appreciated that the cheese was a good quality, and the sausage was so damn flavorful, great mix of spices. Though it sounds deceptively simple, it's another solid pick. I do wish there was some sort of sauce on this, but it wasn't dry or anything. Just wanted a little something more. TATER TOTS: These came as our side of choice, they were crispy but I'd rather split a second dog than fill up on carby sides. The condiment station with various dipping sauces was a nice touch. Everything on the menu sounds delicious, making it difficult to order. I can't wait to come back and try entirely new menu items- the Motley Bleu 2.0 burger sounds incredible but I'd want to make it into a dog. Service was super friendly and happy to make suggestions when people were stumped about what to order. This is definitely a place I'd come frequently if I lived in the area, wish there was one closer to me!

This is what old hotdog stands have become. Very interesting variations on sausage but you can't get a straight up hotdog. The chili dog hit the spot. Many more to try.

You can argue the best pizza or burger aim town and have a case, but there is no match to dogs when it comes to Dog Haus. The Hawaiian bread alone is insanely delicious. Each dog so rich that even a big guy like myself can only finish one. Friendly service, great shakes as well. Will certainly be back

Omg! I looooove this place! Hands down THE best hotdog and sausage place in LA! I had the all beef dog with sauerkraut and the Old Town Dog (bacon wrapped, jalapeño, cotija cheese, chipotle mayo, onions) and the Love Boat (tater tots, slaw and chili) and it was all yummy to my tummy! The meat was nice and tender and juicy. The taters were crispy. The slaw was fresh and tasty. The best part was that the dogs are served on toasted Hawaiian buns!! Yummmmmm! Everything was made well and fresh and the service was friendly and fast. There's parking on the premise and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. If you are a hotdog connoisseur, you must eat here!

I went there twice. Dog Haus hits the spot when you are looking for something flavorful and filling. I tried The Pig Lebowski (with the apple chicken veggie sausage) and The Downtown Dog both were delicious. Cheese Tots and Chilli Cheese sides were also good.

Pinks ain't got nothin' on this place. So delicious with all kinds of options for vegetarians as well. we tried 5 different things and they were all amazing. I will definitely be going back. It gets pretty hopping in there, so I recommend ordering ahead. Its a tiny little place, but soooo yummy.

  • Rachel M.

Dog Haus ... I really wish I liked your fat hot dogs more. I think they're just too fat. I can't really taste any of the other crazy ingredients or toppings because that hot dog flavor overwhelms them. But obviously that's my own personal issue so I can't take off any stars. The sliders though -- oh MAN! I really really liked them. So cheap and perfectly meaty cheesy and oniony. I love the Hawaiian roll as bread. The sweetness and softness pairs perfectly with the insides. I think the interior traffic flow is very poorly laid out-- when you stand in line you're always on someone's way, but there's a huge area with nobody in it at the far end of the counter where you pick up to go orders.

  • A I.

Always delicious. I'm actually trying to get every single thing on the menu. So far, I've had all the hotdogs and they've been crazy good. I can't pick a favorite. I also just tried my first burger here. Tremendous.

Who does't love Dog Haus? This place is fast, cheap, and easy. I love the one in Pasadena and Alhambra, I'm going to love this one. And I did. FOOD: So Cali Turkey Dog - so good. The aioli sauce is amazing and the gauc is so good. Cooked so well. SERVICE: Standard AMBIANCE: Lots of tables inside and out. Standard hot dog place. PARKING: There is limited parking and parking on the street is bad. So good luck. OVERALL: Always a good choice.

  • E R.

Overly greasy, overpriced. I didn't expect health food, in fact, I wanted to indulge in a burger with the works or a hotdog smothered with everything. I ordered a hamburger with bacon& cheese and a side of onion rings and fries, boy was I disappointed. The hamburger was so thin you could almost see through it, they made no effort whatsoever to minimize any of the fat or grease from the bacon or the hamburger which resulted in the Hawaiian bread bun becoming saturated and falling apart. The onion rings and fries were so saturated with fat, that they were translucent, this still might've been OK if I was hung over or if they actually had any taste. This disgusting meal for two (2 Burgers, fries, onion rings, and two drinks) ended up costing $25.00, there is no flavor or value here, I would've felt better physically and financially if I went to McDonald's. I will never return.

Great food! Great environment. They have a bunch of beers that you can choose... Their burgers are amazing. What's even better is the chili cheese garlic fries. Those are a must try... But don't plan on moving much after you eat all that.

Wow. Dog Haus is an awesome place to go when you feel like eating 'til you can't move. They have just about everything one craves... great dogs, burgers, fries, milk shakes and tater tots. Deep fried tater tots. Enough said. I have driven by this place many times, recently stopped on a Saturday evening... it was pretty busy, lots of folks craving. I got a hot dog and a sausage... both very tasty. You choose how you want to dress these up... many choices... ALL are indulgent and guaranteed to make you smile.

Upon my 10th check-in here, I decided to go a little off-menu special build. Dog Slider, made with a mini Corndog, topped with cheese and bacon crumbles! With mustard, this is hands down the best thing ever! I'm in love! Thanks Dog Haus for indulging my request! Next I will build a burger!

***UPDATE*** I lied. I did go back, and had the Frieburger(sp?) - the burger with the egg and slaw on it. It's my new favorite burger and my mouth is watering as I'm typing. Whyyyy must you be so yummmy. I want the whole world to try one. That's why I've bumped my 3 stars to 4, because I'm in love with said burger. I personally don't like their chili, but we tried their other sides, and they were pretty good. I will deeeffiniitely be going back. :P Meh. We very randomly came across this place because my friend wanted something with eggs (go figure). He had the burger with egg in it, and it was really yummy ($7). I had the Das Brat, which I couldn't finish because it was gross. Lacked any real flavor except grossness. The onions weren't caramelized enough and the kraut was soggy, as was the bun by the time I got it. I love Hawaiian rolls as much as the next girl, but they don't reaaaally belong on a sausage sammy. Sorry. Also got the Love Boat with tots. Meh. Tots were ok, crispy. Didn't like the chili that much. Coleslaw was fine. Paid like $22 for 1 sausage sam and 1 burger combo. Wait was extremely long, parking was packed. Nice service, though. I will likely not be back, and if I am, just for the fried egg burger and maybe try another side.

Selection of burgers and hot dogs are pretty good. Of course, they're made with kings Hawaiian bread so it makes your meal taste that much better!!!! It's an old Taco Bell restaurant so the seating is very, very limited. They probably have about ten parking spaces in their lot. They're right at the corner so u can't miss this place And parents..... They sell beer here!!! Yaaaaaay!!!!!

We've been here quite a few times since they opened. What can I say, they are new to Burbank and so are we! Both my husband and I are hot dog junkies. But not just any hot dog will do, we like quality franks, buns, and lots of delicious toppings. That is exactly what they have here. So far we've had; the Downtown Dog, Old Town Dog, Another Night in Bangkok, Pig in the Fig, Little Leaguer, the Scott Baoili, and the Fonz. We are addicted to the chili cheese tater tots, a guilty pleasure. We haven't tried the burgers or the Love Boat, yet. Some of the toppings are a little adventurous like; kimchi, fig-onion relish and maple syrup Sriracha, but we like to live on the wild side! They use Hawaiian Rolls for the bread, I think it is the perfect foundation for the large franks and sausages with all the decadent toppings. We love the vibe of the restaurant, the employees seem to love their job and the food they sell, the cashier always has suggestions. Oh, and they always play classic rock, it is impossible for us to leave without a smile on our face! It can be a little pricey, especially if you are just looking for a Nathan's with ketchup and mustard, but if you like both quality and quantity, you won't regret coming here!

Best hot dogs ever. I work and live within 2 miles radius, and come here for lunch and dinner when my trainer let's me :). Sooo Cali is so good! Best staff and customer service. My bf loves hot dogs. Period, and when I brought him here he was head over heals!

Not being a huge fan of hot dog hot dogs, it's nice to see a place so close to my office that serves a variety of meats on a bun. And by bun I mean King's Hawaiian bread. Where has this idea been all my life? Though they have some pretty awesome-sounding menu items, I like that you also have the option to build your own dog, which I took full advantage of by ordering a bunch of random stuff on a kielbasa. And I know that it's getting to be trendy to serve tots, but I still get excited to see them on any menu. Theirs are simple, crispy, and satisfying. I think I paid somewhere around $12 for a combo with a drink. If you're going for lunch, call ahead and you can skip the line and go straight to the register.

I definitely appreciate that after seeing my review, they refunded my meal and offered me a free meal on my next visit. I don't have plans to go back soon, but I'm glad to see they understand the importance of customer service.

We loved this place! As a family it can be hard to please everybody but this place was a five for all of us! The Hawaiian rolls, the crispy tater tots and veggie burgers were amazing! My husband and the kids loved the hot dogs and sliders!

Hey now...gourmet hot dogs close to work? It took over the old school Taco Bell down the street? I was definitely interested and came here on a rare rainy weekday to see what this place was all about. Nice that they have their own parking lot but it was completely full during the lunch rush. In fact, the whole place was buzzing - the line was out the door, and even around 2pm there was still a line. People were waiting in the rain for this place! For good reason too - this place has some tasty food. I got the Hangover burger, perfect fried egg, chili and bacon with a grilled hamburger patty. Those TOTS! Loved the tater tots. My friend got the same burger AND the Tae Kwon Dog, and managed to finish almost everything before he threw in the towel. Quick service, solid comfort food, what's not to like in a lunch spot? I like that there are so many options too - you can turn any of the hot dogs or sausages into a corn dog, their variety of toppings seems endless. I'm excited to try one of their hot dogs for my next visit. Viva Dog Haus!

I usually don't write short reviews but there's not much to say about this place other then, Yum Yum Yum! I highly recommend that you try everything on the menu. You'll definitely find something that you can't live without. There sausages aren't cheap but they're definitely worth every penny.

YUM!! So the food here is DELICIOUS!! Everything I had the bad mutha clucka, sweet potatoe fries and iced tea. All great! The service was great and quick, ingredients all fresh and tasty! The only downside to this Dog Haus location is the noise. Even the people in front of us in line complained as the way it is set up somehow makes the room echo and would better serve for recording purposes than a restaurant, perhaps its what they used to decorate all around but it is definitely a loud place and today specifically a ton of kids were in there. It was still a nice experience but a little heads up that it's not a quiet ambience, at least not today.

I really enjoyed the Downtown Dog, but I could have used less mustard and ketchup (just a preference). The hot dog itself was INCREDIBLE (and it was bacon-wrapped, and wrapped well too)! The hot dog was a fancier version of the hog dogs you'd get from the carts downtown! Unfortunately, the wait to get my food was really long considering there was only one person who ordered before me, but this is just a small nit-pick. I definitely plan to stop by a few more times before I head back to New York

Really good food and super reasonable price!!! There "pig in the fig" hot dog and "ave maria" burger are great!!! Prices are like 6-10$ limited parking but very filling. And they're also served on Hawaiian rolls! Would never have known about this place honestly but is definitely a place you have to stop by.

I am totally a fan of the Dog Haus restaurants. When I heard that there was one opening up in Burbank, I couldn't have been more excited! I was very disappointed, though, to see how small this place was in comparison to other restaurants. This place was BUSY and not enough places to eat inside. There is outside seating, but it's pretty chilly in December in the evenings. There is also a small parking lot and limited parking on the street. Despite that, the employees are super kind, they deliver your food to your table, and the dogs are totally awesome! I try to try something new each time I visit a Dog Haus restaurant. This time I tried the Scott Baioli. It was super good, with white cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, aioli, and bacon. I would suggest coming here if you are picking your order up to go, or visit during a time that it isn't as busy.

The chili tots might give you tater toots but they're worth it. Little known fact: they are hand made in the back by Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas of TLC. But don't ask for her and never mention this.

When Dog Haus took over the location that was vacated by Taco Bell I was a little skeptical. When I saw the menu I was interested. When I went there for lunch this week I became a fan. First of all I would like say that whoever came up with the idea of using grilled King's Hawaiian Bread instead of hot dog (or hamburger) buns is a genius who I hope is living in a huge mansion in Beverly Hills. That was a brilliant move and that alone got them a minimum of 3 stars. It is soft and adds just a touch of sweetness that really enhances the dogs. I don't think I will ever be able to eat a hot dog on a regular bun ever again. I had the downtown dog which was outstanding. It is basically their take on the old bacon wrapped street dog. I got it without mayo because, well, mayo is frickin' horrible! Seriously people of LA, stop putting mayo on everything. It's fine as an option if someone with no taste wants it, but don't try to force it on the rest of us. Getting off of my "mayo is horrible" soapbox now. I combo'd up my dog with tots and a soda. That's right, I said tots! They have fries too for those poor classless souls who don't like tots, but that is not me. The tots were great, although the portion was a little small. The service was okay, but a tad on the slow side. I was starting to think they lost my order when my food finally came. The place hasn't been open long, so maybe they will get faster once everyone gets more experience there. The guy at the table next to me had a hamburger which looked amazing. Also on the King's Hawaiian Bread it looked so good it made me re-think getting the dog (until I ate the dog, then I was happy with my choice). My neighbor said he really liked the burger but he thought Tommy's was better. He also had mayo on his burger though, so his taste buds are suspect. Did I mention I don't like mayo? The place is clean, but hey, it better be, they just opened. There is indoor and outdoor seating, but it is limited. Not a knock on the place, as the Taco Bell that used to be there was very small. There is actually more seating than there used to be, so kudos to them for that. Anyway, if the service gets a little faster and the tot portion gets increased I will change my review to 5 stars. For now, it stays at 4 stars and I have a new place to go for lunch.

Great food! Great customer service! I took my boyfriend last night, his first time, and we had a great experience. I had not been to this location yet, and I was very happy with the overall experience. I really wish I had gotten the main girl helping us' name. She was Hispanic, had some cool tattoos and kept a smile on her face. My boyfriend ordered a PBR and received a free koozie, and she saw my face light up so she said "one for the lady" and handed me one as well. So generous! She smiled and said hi to every single person who walked in. Our food came out very quickly, and was cooked perfectly. When she delivered our fries and tots, she even remembered that we had cheese sauce, so she took them back and put the sauce on. Honestly, that cheese on the fries is majestic. I will definitely be returning to this location, and recommend this spot to anyone in the area looking for a good lunch or dinner.

This place is just amazing! With a wide variety of meats and a unique combination of flavors all served upon Hawaiian bread there's nothing else like. The food quality is great and bursts with unique combinations of flavor. The staff is very polite and friendly is able to help any customer out. Especially when it comes to understanding their wonderful menu.

Best brat in town. The Das Brat is a perfect combination of sausage, mustard sauce, sauerkraut and onions on a toasted roll. Add a Pilsner beer and you're set. Try not to eat it too fast (you'll be tempted) because you'll want to savor every bite. Add an order of crunchy fried-to-perfection onion rings and you're in heaven.

  • Zary K.

Overpriced is one issue. Another is that on the hot dog the bun it tasted like it was covered in oil. It was fallen apart and I had to eat it with a fork. The burger was good but bun was also soggy. 40$ for two hot dogs, a burger and 2 corn dogs with tots. Never again

I tried this place after seeing a friend check in her on Facebook. The place is very clean, spotless to be exact. It is very busy for a place that just opened and their menu is simple but it all looks delicious. I got the hangover burger and the love boat which is fried with a chili and coleslaw Ontop. Vin and I shared the meal and we were both very full! I give this place 5 plates. Oh yeah and the burger was served on Hawaiian bread! So good!

this place is delicious! I've never been disappointed after coming here and think that the 30 minute drive is totally worth it. all of their burgers are served on the Hawaiian king bread! the only downside to this place is that seating can be limited and I hate having to wait for people to finish to get their table. aside from that definitely a place worth trying!

This place was delicious, went at 11:45 to beat the lunch crowd. Got the Soo Cali dog and made it a combo, it was so much food I was stuffed after. They lose a star cause they forgot my avocado on my dog, but it was still amazing. (Combo came out to $9.95) And they have tots! My friend got the grand slam and it looked amazing too. He ate it so fast and said it was delicious, really liked the maple syrup sriracha. Definitely be back here to try more!

This place is the goods! I am a visitor from Australia and these burgers are THE BEST I have ever tasted in my life. The one with bacon and caramelised onions... Holy shit. I died. The tots are bangin too!!! I have been to this place three times in the last two weeks.... My god I am in love. Bring this to Australia!!!!

BEST HOT DOGS EVER! I got: Another night in Bangkok. So good, so much flavor!!! BEST HAMBURGERS EVER!! Cooked to perfection!! Tried: Ringer, yum and I don't even like bbq sauce! Tried the mini corn dog, so tasty. Sweet potato fries & tatter tots, mmmm, then topped it all off with a delicious chocolate malt. I just need more stomach space to go to this place!!! I've been here 3 times this week. Can't wait to try everything on the menu. And the folks behind the counter just want to make you happy. Its always busy but they get food out quick! About the burgers. I can not emphasize how good they are!!! It's hard to find a good burger, and these guys nail it, juicy and full of flavor. Every bite is heaven, melts in your mouth. I didn't want eating it to end! Seriously savored every bite! There are, in my opinion, no good burger places near by, when Umami came to town I was hopeful yet so let down after trying them (twice). Bad service, arrogant menu (they say each burger is designed to perfection and you can't change it), dry, overcooked, flavorless. The waiter actually told me if I wanted to customize my burger to go to Burger King! Getting off subject... In a nutshell I'm: Overjoyed that DOGHAUS is in my neighborhood!

Been hearing about this place and one finally opened near me in Burbank. It was long line because they just opened and I think the entire WB lot staff ate there that day. Overall, it was good and filling. If you order 2 dogs it can add up to expensive lunch ($18 for 2 dogs, tots and drink), but with the thick Hawaiian rolls they use, one dog could fill you up.

I had to check out the hype of this place since I live a couple blocks away & see it busy. One of my kids had the kids burgers with fries, the other kid had the Ringer burger with tater tots & I had the Little Mule as a lettuce wrap with sweet potato fries. At first it all looked good especially since the burgers were served in between Hawaiian Sweet rolls (which I am a fan of because I'm from Hawaii), but honestly the food looked better than it taste. The Little Mule burger did have a different taste to it which I liked. I tried my son's burger & it tasted good because of the sweet bread. But overall the burgers were ok, i probably wouldn't go back, I would rather go to In n Out when I crave a burger. The fries were soggy, so not sure if that's how it always is or I just got a soggy batch. The tater tots were nice & crispy.

I've driven by this place a thousand times and said, "I remember when that crappy spot used to be a Taco Bell." Today, it's Memorial Day and every Thai delivery spot in Burbank is closed. Today, I got in my car and stopped at Doghaus. Goddamn. You have got to eat here. I got a burger with an egg and fries on it, served in a Hawaiian bun softer than a supermodel's butt. That and cheese tots and a drink? Under $13. Doghaus, you just won me over. This is my new cheat day spot. Burbank - there is hope for you yet. Signed, Housesitter from Hollywood

Great dogs! No doubt about it! As for the fries, I'm not a big fan, but the tator tots with cheese, now we're talking. Junior high all over baby. If you don't eat a lot, then I recommend splitting your meal with someone else as they use Hawaiian bread which can be quite filling. Overall, it's kind of expensive too, but still decent for lunch or dinner. Enjoy!

I wish I could give this place about 8 stars. I don't think I've ever had this big of a hotdog and then just turned around and got another one. Besides having different sausage options, this place serves everything in these big Hawaiian rolls that are awesome. Pig and the Fig was fantastic. Great quality cheese stuffed sausage, fig and onion relish, greens, almonds, combination was just perfect. I think it had a whole grain mustard as well. I also got the Fonz, which had pastrami on it, enough said about that. If I lived in LA I would eat there 3 times a week.

Always a tasty, tasty meal !! The Ringer, add an egg, is my fave, along with tater tots smothered in chili and cheese, doesn't get any better! Sliders are alway scrumptious too!!And now that they have draft craft brews, not a single complaint.....

Honestly love how the food and menu is so innovative in ideas! My brother and I went here to see what all the hype was about, and I ordered The Freiburger w/ a side of tater tots, while my brother got The Little Mule also with tater tots. Both burgers were freaking amazing!! I mean like c'mon, a fried egg with slaw and fries in a burger with Hawaiian buns!!! It was also pretty good pricing for the quality/quantity.

First, the one knock, the ice tea was not good. It's a passion fruit blend and just tasted bad, like the passion fruit was trying too hard. But, the good, it's a dang good dog! I got the Old Town Dog. The bacon was nice and crisp, jalapeños were good and spicy and the whole thing was just the right amount of messy! Very tasty. As another Yelper mentioned, tots were the jam. Perfectly crispy! It says they don't have alcohol but they do have a nice beer selection, 4 on draft plus some cans. Last, price to yummy ratio was great, dog, tots and beverage under $10!

Tried Doghaus for the first time this week over a quick lunch break. The burger on Hawaiian roll was super tasty - I got the frieburger. Shared an order of cheesy tater tots so I could justify trying the slider dogs. Felt like I couldn't leave a place called Doghaus and not at leasttry a dog. The root beer battered mini corn dog was good, but didn't hold a candle to the amazing mini cheese dog with bacon on top. I'd definitely go back to have a burger, the mini cheese dog and to try a root beer float. Also, the service was great - even though it's order at the counter -we were checked on a couple times at our outdoor picnic table.

We are visiting California on vacation, and after our studio tour at Warner Brothers Studios, we started walking toward a restaurant that had been recommended to us. Along the way, we passed the Dog Haus. My daughter wanted to turn around and go back to eat there instead, and we are so glad we did! We were a little overwhelmed by how many options we had to choose from...should we get hot dogs, sausages, burgers? Then there were several options in each of those categories, followed by an endless list of toppings. They will even turn any hot dog or sausage into a corn dog, or make any item into a slider. My daughter selected the corn dog option, and I decided to get the build-your-own hot dog. But our meal dilemma did not end there, now we had to choose from several great side items. We got the tater tots and sweet potato fries. Everything tasted amazing! And after glancing around the extremely busy restaurant to see other people's food, I don't think you could go wrong with any item on the menu.

Well HOT DOG!!! If this isn't the best hot dog and burger joint! First time here and I'm a fan forever! Fast and super friendly service. Food is fresh and delicious ! I had the Hangover with a side of tater tots! So yummy! Can't wait to go back!

Wow, this place is good. The Hawaiian bread buns are soft and very tasty. We went late in the afternoon so it wasn't busy. They have a great selection of hot dogs, sausages and burgers! I had the Bad Motha Clucka. Very, very good. Plus, they have tater tots and beer!

Went here yesterday afternoon while killing time waiting for a show taping to start. My mother ordered a hotdog while I ordered a burger. The Hangover - Very rich, very flavorful. The chili paired up with the fried egg was perfect. The runny yolk just oozed well with the everything else in the burger. The bacon wee nice thick cuts, not thin slices like you get at fast food joints. Downtown Dog - Nice bacon wrapped hotdog. The grilled peppers and onions were a nice touch as well. Lastly, who doesn't like soft Hawaiian bread as the bun. That is an interesting take on the bun which pays off well for them.

Love me some taters!! This location has such quick service. I have been to the one in West Covina and Pasadena and have yet to be disappointed. Anything placed in a hawaiian bun, topped with bacon and aoili has my vote. Burgers and dogs are good and at a great price. You know what? Just give me a bag of the hawaiian bread by itself. I'll eat it in the corner.

I don't leave many 5 star reviews, but I was literally blown away by this place. I am thrilled that this chain in growing. King's Hawaiian Rolls as buns...need I say more? Fresh ground beef patties...I know they are "Dog Haus" but I LOVED their burger! Fries were great, tots were great and they have several choices of sauces. If you've not tried it...you need to!

Went to the Haus again today and was not disappointed. The owner Diana is great and she stopped by our table to make sure everything was to order. My friend Richard ordered: The Holy Aiolie, chili tots and A Kung Pao sausage all we're fantastic.

  • Kat G.

Had the Grand slam. They're beef hot dog with fried egg, bacon, and maple syrup sriracha. Oh, and tater tots. I could have eaten that whole thing in 5 seconds. That's how good it was. But I controlled myself....barely. And their onions rings aren't too shabby either. I took one star off for the slow service. I know they're busy. But their turnaround was slower than it should be.

Been here three times in one month. I like all the different flavors and options you get. I prefer the burgers over the hot dogs or sausages. Sweet Hawaiian buns!!!!! Only complaint is the cheese they used on the cheese fries nearly killed me! Way tooo oily and heavy. I took off all the cheese before eating more fries.

I was REALLY expecting so much more from the beer menu - behind even average place... food good - not out of this world thou... would give another 1/2 star if Yelp allow, but definitely not full 4.

  • Jason B.

I've been here twice. First time was a couple weeks after they opened. Then I went again not to long ago. It was packed!!! First and foremost, they use Hawaiian rolls for all their buns. Love that! I've had a couple burgers there. I've had some dogs there. Also had a sausage. Chili cheese fries are good too. All were good. Now the burgers aren't as good as umami down the street. Still quite respectable. The hot dogs aren't even close to pinks, but if you don't want to drive to Hollywood and wait an hour, this is certainly a viable choice. Sausages are no Wurstkuche. Then again, what is? Dog Haus is a fun place. Much better quality than chain fast food. I will keep going. But if you are looking for something extra special, it won't exceed your expectations.

After enjoying the nearby Warner Bros studio tour we went around the corner to this hot dog heaven. The selection of delights overwhelms the senses in this clean, hipster spot. I ordered the So Cali, my wife had the Little Leaguer and we shared a milk shake. All three items were on point, 10s across the board. Although we didn't take advantage of the wonderful canned beer selection, we indulged blissfully. We can't wait to return to Cali for this hot dog and sausage treasure.

// [ date visited ] 03/31 for lunch at 1pm // [ the place ] I had no trouble finding parking as there is a small lot behind the restaurant. If coming with a friend, I recommend one waits in line & orders while the other finds seating. Dog Haus was busy even past lunch hour. // [ the food ] I opted for The Little Mule burger since I wasn't really in a hot dog mood. Boy was that a mistake. The patty, egg, avocado, cheese, & sauce were sandwiched in between Hawaiian rolls. I tried to hold the burger & eat it like a normal person but it just completely fell apart since the bread was so soft. I had to use a fork & knife :( ... I was disappointed by the flavor as well - it was really bland. I ended up drenching it in habanero hot sauce. I also had the chili cheese fries which was also okay. The chili was quite yummy (reminded me of Tommy's), but what killed it for me was the cheese sauce. I wish they used regular cheese! The sauce was reminiscent of nacho cheese sauce you would find in a school cafeteria. // [ tl;dr ] I should have gotten a dog which this place is known for.

Really good place for a snack! Mouthful of food. I've been to the ones in Pasadena & they taste exactly the same! I love the hot dogs & the burgers! The sliders are the cutest things! I love Hawaiian bread, therefore I just absolutely love this place!

Got the downtown dog and fries, both were delicious. I liked the way they layered the condiments on top of the dog. I was able to take a bite without the entire thing exploding in every direction. The menu is reasonably priced. Dogs and burgers are 6 ish fries were 1.75. I recommend grabbing a menu from the register to plan your order while in line. Especially if you want to customize a dog. it's almost a little hard to read the entire menu from the boards standing at the register. I'll definitely be back. Lots of tasty stuff to try. Forgot to finish the post from weeks ago :p

Well to begin with the prices are a bit on the high end. Let's get that out of the way. The main choice of hotdogs are good and tasty but drink selection is good but it's a hotdog. At the end of the day that is all is. The cool vibe of the place is ok but if your looking for a cheap meal this place is not. Still when you need a hotdog fix this is the place go!

I actually prefer their hamburgers (the "hangover" is my personal favorite). The dogs are OK,nothing to brag about, in my opinion the burgers go well with the Hawaiian bread. Haven't had the urge to go back.

For those complaining ( one person ) about non-nitrite hot dogs, and all natural Soda, or alluding to DogHaus owning stock in Kings Hawaiain just because they use the bread... get a life. Start your own boutique, hippy restaurant that will go under within a year. Yes, it is a chain, and a damn good one. Now that that's out of the way here is my actual review: Great Hot Dogs... super creative, tasty, and diverse recipes that really compliment each other in the realm of comfort food. I've tried hot dogs from all over the country, and I really enjoyed these because of how bad ass, and unapologetic their toppings are. They really don't care about trying to be healthy, and the name is completely appropriate. To top it off not only are their hot dogs damn good, but their burgers are as well. It would help if the hot dogs were nitrite free, but hey... I am not eating there because I'm on a damn diet or something. I'm eating there because I had a bad day, or i just want a hot dog!!

Awesome fast food that doesn't take it's self too seriously. As the sign out front says "The Absolute Wurst" The menu is fun to read and full of great sounding options, the pig lebowski, motley bleu, I had the bad mutha clucker... you get the idea. But the dogs are just as good as their names. And they are all served on Hawaiian roles, it's a messily magical. Also had the cheesy tater tots, those were a bit heavier than I thought, but still quite good. I'm looking forward to coming back soon.

Great response from an owner who clearly doesn't know how to respond to a negative review. Just say they were a fired employee other than trying to address any issues or concerns to the public. Nice ! Besides being insulted about that false accusation, I figured I owe it to them and myself to "expand" on my review. Also since they accused me of something without even attempting to address my concern they now go down to one star. First, here is what I would have said had I been the owner of this place. "Sorry you were not happy with your experience at our restaurant. We do our best to use fresh ingredients in all our foods and while some of them may not be all natural, they are of the highest quality and our sausage recipes are made just for us in our own company kitchens. We think we offer a variety of flavors to compliment our many sausages, burgers and toppings and think most folks will find awesome combinations that will tickle their taste buds like no where else. We will talk to corporate and look into having other options for rolls and beverages as this could further give our customers even more great choices. Thanks for trying us. " So does that sound like a better response other than, I'm a fired employee and my review is fake?? So now, here is a further expansion on my original review. I think you you have some great dogs and combinations of creative ingredients. Some of these taste really great. While I am trying to make an effort to eat healthier options, I still crave stuff that is not good for me like burgers and dogs with all the trimings. But lucky for me there are many places that now make these things using high quality natural ingredients. Dog Haus is not one of them. So while I may still visit for a fix of bad for me tasty food, I really just wish they would make the effort to make the food a bit more healthy and natural. Dogs can dream can't they??

This place is pretty bad ass. They even have beer on tap! Gets busy, can be a line to order and then a wait for your food but it's worth it. Kinda pricy but what do you expect. Check it out.

Food was good. But it was very crowded, loud and a tiny parking lot. I had the Das Brat which was delish but had too much sauerkraut. The Kings Hawaiian roll was a delight! The cole slaw was good and I'm a slaw snob! My guy had the mini burger sliders and tater tots which were both good. I'm only knocking off stars for size, loudness and parking. The food was yummy and we'll return. This was a Sunday night. I can't imagine be a weekday love much rush!

This place is AMAZING!! Tucked away on Olive off of Pass in Burbank (near Warner Brothers), this new place is a hidden gem! Any place that is confident enough to tag their place as "The WURST Place", deserves a shot... I'm happy to say that the "wurst" place, is one of the BEST places I've been to! My wife and I went in tonight for the first time, and the minute we walked through the door, we were impressed. Clean, friendly, and modest feel with a slight rock-n-roll edge. There were sausages, hot dogs, hamburgers and more. The food (including the french fries) were fresh and cooked to order. You order, and the food goes from the deli case to the grill OUTSTANDING!! I had the Old Town Dog (bacon wrapped all beef hotdog, caramelized onions, roasted jalapeños, cotija cheese and drizzled with chipotle aioli) DELICIOUS!! My wife had a polish sausage with saur kraut and one of 3 different types of mustard. BOTH of these were served on grilled King's Hawaiian Bread. I think my next purchase will be "The Pig Lebowski" (polish kielbasa, hays slaw, & BBQ sauce)... or... the "Another Night In Bancock" (spicy Thai currywurst, peanut sauce, asian slaw and crushed peanuts)...They even have a veggie dog!! Burgers, sausages, hot dogs, corn dogs (one of them dipped in their root beer batter!) My wife topped off dinner with a freshly baked (on the premises) white chocolate/macadamia nut cookie, and I had a hand-dipped carmel malt... DELICIOUS! This has become my new neighborhood favorite!! Which means they'll be seeing us a couple times/week... yes... It's THAT good!!

Goodbye Costco hot dog food court. The $7 hot dog has finally arrived in Burbank. Located studio-side by Warner Brothers, the latest Dog Haus outpost aims to please, and does. I had the Tae Kwon Dog (bulgogi, kimchi, fried egg and Korean chili powder) and the Scott Baioli (smoked bacon, white American cheese, garlic aioli and cartelized onions) -- a hit. The buns here are fluffy as clouds. Add the famed tater tots and soon you'll be saying, Costco who? Alcohol coming to Burbank Dig Haus soon.

  • Amanda W.

AGH! So amazing. I had the Soo Cali as a burger add bacon... The bun... The avocado... I died and went to heaven. Can't wait for the one in Noho to open up so it'll be closer to me. Wow. Just a simple wow.

Well, unfortunately I got really bad diarrhea about 20 minutes after I ate here so yea, the food is just way too rich and unhealthy for me. And this is coming from a foodie. The tater tots are great, can't really go wrong with those, especially covered in their chili. Avoid the cheez wiz type cheese, yuk. Not a fan of the fancy corn dogs, the flavors don't mesh well. I love King's Hawaiian, but they're not that good for burgers, it turns out. Sounds better than it tastes. Overall, it's rich and heavy food that is fairly priced. I love the classic rock music and that you can order a beer. The bottled grape soda's are also nice. I definitely recommend ordering online ahead of time so you're not standing in line 20 minutes just to order, and another 10-15 to get your food. It's nice to walk up and get your food in less than a minute.

I'm usually not a big fan of hot dog and burgers joint. However, whenever I drive by this place, it's always packed. So I figured I should give it a try. Boy I'm glad I did. The dogs are amazing, I prefer it way better than Pink's and Carney's. It's bigger and more flavorful than your average dog. From the menu, one may assume while the food is really tasty, you'll be eating it later with massive heart burn. This is not the case at all. The meat is extremely high quality and not greasy. It taste more like a trendy high end food truck but way more affordable. The food does take some time to get to table (not like your typical fast food) since it's made to order and you'll likely have to wait some time in line before you order.

Went to the grand opening today. It was worth the wait. It took about an hour waiting on line around the restaurant. The staff was friendly and passed out stickers, buttons, and cups of water. My order was taken quickly. I ordered the Grand Slam Haus Dog with onion rings. Despite being busy, my order arrived in a few minutes. The Grand Slam was delicious and full of flavor. I enjoyed the onion rings, crispy batter, tender inside, and not greasy. Can't wait to try the other items on menu. Sumo APPROVED!

FINALLY. I've had this chain bookmarked for a while. Finally, I tried the Burbank location. We got there right before lunch rush. The cashier was really nice! My boyfriend, little brother, and myself all got different things. I forgot which ones we ordered but all were AMAZING. The hype is real. They use King's Hawaiian bread as hot dog and hamburger buns. Best idea ever. By the time we got our food, the line was out the door! They also have really clean bathrooms! Lol. Definitely gonna come back to try more of the hotdogs and burgers.

I decided to come and try this place out! Oh My Gawd! Let me tell you that this is a place to go. The service is extremely helpful to navigate their amazing menu. Many options and add ons to customize your meals. Love the owners and really down to earth. Fast dining experience, and they have tater tots! They also have healthy options such as veggie dogs and burgers. When you try this you will fall in love.

    (5)
  • Viviana M.

Amazing! Amazing! Every single bite of heaven. The chili cheese tater tots are my favorite, I always ask for them extra crispy and extra cheese. As for the hot dogs, Scott baioli and downtown are my favorite! The staff also provides A+ service to their clients, super friendly and attentive. I tell everyone give this place a try because one thing is for sure, you won't regret it :p

  • JP S.

HOLY $#!+!!!! THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! I went in on the second day and the line moved so fast, keep in mind this place was popping! I wanted to try everything, so I ordered a corn dog, burger, and fries, and then my boyfriend got a specialty dog and tater tots. I have no words for how incredible this food is. The bun on both dog and the burger is grilled to perfection and the quality of the meat is really 100%! The fries were delicious and the tater tots were exceptional. I am a tater tot snob and when I tell you these tots were good, they were amazing. They were perfectly cooked and salted! I will be going back weekly!

I had the Mule burger- it was good but not like I'm craving it good. Def. different. I would not advise placing yr order online though. I asked for raw onions and also a cookie none of which were in my order. Guess I should have checked.

Wow! I've never been a huge fan of this style of restaurant - traditionally low-end comfort food being served in fancy new ways - but this place has me hooked. Let's start with the obvious: their tagline is" the absolute wurst." Brilliant. I am happy to support any business based on a pun. The egg/maple/bacon/sriracha dog was incredible and has me looking forward to my next visit. The staff was great, and seemed to enjoy working there. Great location just across from the WB water tower. What's not to like?

  • Nikki N.

These aren't your typical hotdogs. First off, they are served on toasted Hawaiian sweet roll buns. Yum! Also the dogs are huge and delicious. I got the Little Leaguer which is their version of a stadium chili dog, but there is nothing little about this beast. The chili is right on point and they top it with onions, shredded cheddar, & fritos. Granted we're talking about a $6 hotdog, so yeah it'd have to be good. Luckiky it is, plus they are very filling. A warning: if you are craving a traditional hotdog, this might not be the place to go. But if you want a delightful hotdog experience then you definitely want to try this. Their chili tots are made with unicorn tears and magic.

One of the best fast food burgers I've ever bit into , so mouth watering , it's the upscale version of Carl's jr western burger , they had my food ready to pick up right when I got to the pick up window definitely suggest this place I will be back again seeing I work right next store to it nom nom nom nom

  • Sarkis O.

I was a first timer to this fancy shmancy place! I was wrong, the dogs are super good! Price is very reasonable. Fries are good, and the aftertaste from the daug will make you want another. Good luck, you are going to get hooked!

The Little Mule was SO good! The Hawaiian role's buns accompanied the hamburger meat, fried egg, avocado, american cheese, chipotle aioli, and tomatillo sauce very nicely. For an extra $3.99, I added sweet potato fries and they were some of the best fries I've had. If your in the area, definitely come check this hamburger/hot dog joint out!

The hot dog frank was really tasty (beef) and I love love hot dogs. I ordered the Little Leaguer with a fried egg. The fries were mediocre and I was very disappointed. As for the chili and egg on the hot dog, it tastes really good except I couldn't get past the fact that everything was so greasy. I personally haven't had greasy food like this in a long time. Even though it was delicious, the grease gave a gross feeling on my tongue and throat. Will I go back? Ya pretty sure. I just won't get a fried egg or chili but I am curious to how the other creations taste. My hub ordered a burger, he was in heaven and DH is his new fav place. I tried the burger and it was tasty but again filled with grease. So if you have a hangover, head to DH, that'll cure it for sure

Holy Mary Mother of God!!! Forget #Pinks ... This is the best place. Decedent hot dogs.. (just look at the menu).. All beef (so none of that weird 'plastic' taste).. Two of us 'pigged out' for $20... we needed to be rolled to our car! Staff was so friendly, and always around to come clean or help you. We actually went back for seconds...by that I mean Milkshakes... I got another 'number' to put at our table... a minute later one worker came over and said 'oh my god, you have NOT been waiting this whole time for your food! Give me your receipt, I will get this order to you right away!' I informed her that we had actually already received and eaten our food...and were just waiting on milkshakes that I just ordered!' But it was soooo cool that she made a note to come over and see if we had actually been waiting this whole time for our food!! A++++ will return again... after I work out for a week and am able to treat myself ;)

I did a 3 start review last week. Owner contacted me, very gracious gesture of a free meal. I was very hungry when I got home today and went back. I paid for my hotdog and yes my complaints regarding the very loud music, music has been turned down to a tolerable level. I had the downtown dog and it was excellent. The staff was very attentive and pleasant as before. So I will be going back for a dog!!!!

Because I don't buy into all that heartburn and heart attack stuff.... This place is my new favorite guilty pleasure. Amazing concept, super delicious selections, price point on point, everyone is friendly. Can get a bit crowded at times, be prepared. So worth it, and so close to home. I respect and I'm inspired by their business model. From in shop experience to Internet presence and advertising. These guys run a great business, quite exemplary I would say.

Man, this place is killer. They use Hawaiian rolls as their buns, and it's AMAZING. They also have killer cookies. I love this place. Great burgers, dogs, and tots. "The Little Mule" is my fav.

  • Tattoo T.

Only complaint is we didn't get greeted by the server passing us when we first walked in, with that being said this place Rocks! Most importantly food is great! You can easily find healthier options or just be a pig and eat anything!! Burbank needed a spot like this! Industrial decor is just like DTLA just needs a garage door in the front, if your into real music this place has it all! The Doors over head and great food on the metal tray! A must try if your in this area!!

  • Kevin M.

This place has some of the greatest got dog and sausage combos around! Love that they put everything on a Hawaiian roll. Don't go at lunch time the line will be out the door and down the block. I just went 2days before Christmas to buy a gift cards but they didn't have any which really annoyed me.

Love it! Had a burger "the ringer" and chili cheese tots! I couldn't finish it! So much food for a very reasonable price! Next time I'm forsure trying a sausage! Great fast service! And easy parking found a spot in their lot. Great location:)

The burgers were surprisingly good. I got the Cali aioli dog and it was good. The hawaiian roll buns make the goodness last through to the last bite. Went early to avoid the lines. Seemed like a total dude joint. Price is good and the service is great.

So glad they opened this Burbank location. I used to drive to Pasadena we never had that urge for a hotdog. Been here twice in the past two weeks. Try something different this time another night in Bangkok. It's a red Thai chili sausage with Asian slaw and peanut sauce. The tater tots are awesome. Only gave it four stars because last time the french fries seem like they were cooked twice and a little hard. Great place for lunch!!!

This place is so good. I've never been so happy to eat a hot dog. Its a great atmosphere with a very cool menu. Each dog has its own unique name. For example my friend orders a hot dog called The Fonz. And I had a one night in Bangkok. I know they sound funny but they taste great. I recommend anyone that wanting a great hot dog to go here. They also have hamburgers and corndogs. This place gets two thumbs up from me.

In love! This is my first Dog Haus experience at any of the locations, and it was amazing. Got the Sooo Cali dog with tots, both were delicious. Boyfriend got the traditional corndog with onion rings. Corndog was great, but the onion rings were a little oily and soggy for my taste. Still fine, but will definitely go with the tots and/or fries next time. I'm normally not a fan of communal seating, but for whatever reason I wasn't bothered by it here. There's a wonderfully hip, busy atmosphere. 10/10 will return.

Loved it. Had dogs out in the nice evening breeze. Gotnto enjoy looking out over the WB lot. My only disappointment was that I really was in the mod for a mac n cheese dog or a pastrami dog. They offer neither. What kind of dog place.doesnt have mac n cheese or pastrami??? Would I go back there? Sire. If someone else suggested it. But I'm probably not going to recommend it.

The first time I came here I tried one of their signature dogs. It was good, but it sounded more amazing than it actually tasted. The second time I came back I tried the cheeseburger with bacon, onion rings and bbq sauce on it......DELICIOUS! The bread is so incredibly soft that mixed with all of the other ingredients on the cheeseburger it melts in your mouth. Their white chocolate shake is also quite amazing.

This place is DEEEEE-LICIOUS! I am glad the old Taco Bell is sayonara! This new hot dog place is so great! The prices are good, too! The ambiance is pretty cool, but the music is a lil' bit too loud. It's a cool, hip place. The food is YUMMY! I love how fresh the food looks and tastes. They even have TURKEY and VEGGIE burgers and hot dogs. Oh, don't forget.. TATER TOTS!!!!!!!! The waitstaff is really nice and very friendly! I am so glad Burbank is getting cooler restaurants. Check out the menu online. Super funky and yummy-sounding dogs. Sooo Cali has arugula! I love this place!!!

Holy mother of grail.... Pure epicness. This place definitely knows how to combine flavors. My boyfriend and I paid two visits today and all of our choices were simply amazing. Whether you're a hot dog type of person or burger its all deadly good. I highly recommend you get a side of love boat tots for whatever burger or hot dog you get... It'll really complete the meal

Bomb food!!! Excellent customer service. Even after they ran out of roasted jalapeños they were courteous enough to offer a substitution. Not only that but they later came to apologize and offered me a shake on the house.

Wow this place was busy, the line snaked out the door. I was really impressed with the meat selection and toppings. Very inventive combinations. Corn dogs were great too. Next time I will need to try the burgers. The buns are great, Hawaiian bread I think. The Tatar tots were yummy & they can be topped with cheese sauce too. My whole family liked their food & want to go back.

  • Nate D.

Wow!!! The burgers are amazing. I had the hangover burger with pastrami. The best thing I ever tasted. I had tater tots with it and it blew my mind how good all the favors blended. The service is the best. All the employees are as nice can be. The cooks are on point with everything. I love everything on the menu. Everything is just so good. The food is just art here. Keep up the great food/ art. The menu is so creative. Just an amazing atmosphere.

We just tried this place today and it was good. The staff was very nice and food came out fast. My husband got the pig and the fig and it was good but way to much mustard. I got the monte blue burger and it was also good but the Chili sauce that was in it was to over powering to me personally. I plan to go back again for sure and try something else, and their fries and tater tots were cooked perfectly . We got cookies too and they were excellent .

My girlfriend and I went here for the first time today and we will definitely be back. It was busy but our orders were taken promptly. We both had the Cowboy dog with a side order of cheese tots and were very impressed. We can't wait to come back!

  • Pateel M.

The best hot dogs I've had so far! I had the downtown hot dog and haus slaw. I can't wait to return to try different things on the menu. One down side is that it can get really crowded and loud inside. They do have outdoor seating, which is much better. It was very clean inside and outside.

i gotta write a review of this location because I'm SO disappointed with my first 2 visits. I was SUPER excited they opened a Dog Haus closer to me because I've been trekking out to Pasadena to get my fix! First visit I ordered take out and i always get a veggie So Cali. I asked for tater tots with cheese on the side. Got home and no dressing on the dog (that basil aioli makes the dish!) and no avocado. And tots were drenched in cheese. Tried calling to see if they could make another or at least let them know. Phone just rang and rang so I dont know what the deal was. I chalked it up to being new. I went in the next time and got the same order. Told the girl up front about my experience the first time and she offered nothing. Surprised she didn't get a manager or something to try to provide some customer service. And still .... missing avocado again and tots drenched in cheese. Had them fix it since i was eating in but so disappointing :( Just want to get what you ask/pay for. So I still go out to Pasadena. The quality is way better there. Atmosphere too.

  • Cesar J.

the pictures and descriptions of the the food look and sound so good but in the end it was a let down. The burger I had was bland and the toppings did not help. and the kings Hawaiian roll soaked up all the juices and turned to mush. It kinda grossed me out. The atmosphere is cool, its a small place so be prepared to bump elbows. Oh and the prices are kinda high for burgers and dogs. Oh well lesson learned. On to the next place.

  • Shea N.

This newer Dog Haus in Burbank is just as good as the one I've been to in Old Town Pasadena. Great service that's quick and friendly, as well as delicious food served on soft Hawaiian rolls. I've never been disappointed with anything I've tried here. The atmosphere is casual, modern, and relaxed and is a great place to meet for lunch or dinner with friends. Parking is available in a lot, but there's plenty of street parking nearby if the lot is full.

  • Tommy G.

Alway great good and service. Hot dog joints are hard to find today and this joint is rockin'! From hot dogs, sausages and brats they have great selection. The Dog Haus is the Wurst!

  • Eric P.

Honestly, I didn't like the layout of the restaurant. As one user has stated, they use high chairs and communal seating which is kind of irritating because half of the reason I go out to eat is to enjoy the company of my friends in a nice setting. I got the holy aioli burger. I managed to finish it but it left me feeling pretty sick. Probably my own fault for trying to finish it all but still. I was kind of over the burger halfway through.

I've eaten here twice and I love it. I love The Hawaiian bread used as buns, so yummy! So glad this opened up nearby. Definitely coming back and I plan on trying everything! Everyone is super friendly and the place is really nice and clean. Fun spot to grab lunch.

I've tried Dog Haus 4 times in the past 5 weeks and I really like the food BUT it's not worth the hassle. The place is always swamped at lunch time and expect to wait 30-40 minutes for your order (if you're lucky) and when there's a normal amount of people the wait time is about 20 minutes. At first I thought I was ordering something that took a long time to cook, but nope, if you order a simple hot dog it still takes 30 minutes to get your food! This is a problem. Much of the wait problem is due to the size of the space mixed with all the options on the menu. The grill is small to handle all the orders, the frying section is tiny, and the prep area for their dogs is cramped. When you have 4 or 5 guys behind the counter running into each other all the time as they prep the orders, it's an issue. The employees are very nice and friendly, the food is good, but it's the wait time to get your order that is the killer. Heck, even ordering with a long line can ad another 15 minutes to your lunch!!! It's NOT a place to grab a quick lunch at---and with so many other options close by up on Riverside, it's truly not worth the trouble waiting for basic food such as this.....so until they can take and get the orders out quicker or move to a larger location (like Olive & Thyme did) I will not be returning anytime soon.

Online ordering was super easy! Picked up order & tots were a little cold so they graciously & eagerly gave us some new freshly cooked ones at no cost. Superior customer service! Food is great and I will definitely be back again. Thanks Dog Haus!

First time here, they just opened this week Great assortment of hot dogs, burgers etc. Expect long lines as they only have one cashier and seating is limited They also have vegan options

I really wanted to love this place because let's face it, who doesn't like wieners in their mouth? But I found it to be mediocre. If you're craving a burger, don't order a burger here. Not that they aren't great because the flavor was spot on, but it just didn't satisfy my burger craving (Kind of like ordering decaf over a French roast). The dogs are very flavorful, but nothing special. The cheese fries were bland and cold. The parking lot is super inconvenient. The prices are decent ($20 for a dog, a burger, cheese fries and 2 sodas) But the portion size is pretty small. Overall, I'd probably come back if I'm in the mood for a gourmet dog, but other than that, I'm kind of over it.

This place gets it. Fresh, delicious burgers, dogs and sausages. Nice interiors, efficient service. Had a burger (on a Hawaiian bun), tater tots and a drink for $10. In and out in 20 minutes. Worked for me.

  • Ara A.

This place has fantastic dogs (quite a variety) and the best tasting fresh burgers you could ask for!!! All their food is on Kings Hawaiian bread which is a stroke of genius. Service, etc, is fantastic too. My only complaint is that the trash cans are too small. That's it! Do yourself a favor and try them out.

This place is mmm yummm delicious! I am very picky when it comes to burgers! & this place blew my mind away! Oh my gosh, they're WIENERfull!!! Haha :p I got their Hangover Burger! (w/ egg, hamburger, & chili in it!easy on chili because Im not a fan of chili) my boyfriend got the same thing & we shared tater tots & a chocolate malt! The burger was super yummy & the buns were incredible because they use Hawaiian bread! Omg GENIUS!! :D The stars are for the burgers and their customer service :) but I had to take out another star because our chocolate malt took so long to come & when We finally got it, we were almost done with our burgers & guess what? It was melted.. I mean reaaalllyyy melted!! When I asked to changed it, the lady was nice about it and didn't hesitate to give me a new one BUT she asked me "so you dont want it melted right?" I MEAN THATS WHY IT'S A SHAKE/MALT RIGHT? Lol! The malt was okay, nothing special about it. Wouldnt get it again though! but all in all the burger was soo good so Its all good! We were satisfied! :D

They are definitely buying into the hipster idea of a fancy dog but they do it well. They remind me of Wurstkuche (in LA) without all the crazy awesome different meats. Pretty good , parking kinda sucks . I wasn't there for a ridiculous long line so I can't say much for the wait. I like the outdoor seating. My favorite out of everything and we ordered a ton, we're the chili cheese tater tots.

Visited dog haus on a rainy sunday about two weeks ago. It was my first time here and I have to say the guy who helped me up front was nice and also helped me in choosing a good dog and also recommending there cookies which came in handy later on in the day. I will be stopping by again when i'm in the area hopefully they open one in San Diego.

I wanted to love it but I didn't get what I expected, Came here a little before closing on last Sunday. We ordered the hotdog with kimchi and a fried egg. We also ordered one of the hamburgers with the fried egg. My dinner companion doesn't like the Hawaiian bread but I read here you can get a different bun. If that's the case maybe he'll try it again. My food was ok except they ran out of onion rings. We got tater tots instead and they were a part of a trio which included chili and slaw. Not a fan of the chili. My dining partner thought everything was too sloppy and messy and now refers to it as the Slop House. I'm ok with it because they have a certain concept going on. What I didn't enjoy was a burnt bun and a smidgen of kimchi. I was expecting it to at least be a decent amount for the price. Maybe they were running out because they also ran out of wieners so we got a free upgrade to a sausage. We picked the curry sausage which had a weird flavor. I was sort of surprised also the sausage wasn't better. Might try it again but if my bun is burnt (see photo) and my kimchi is missing I'm sending it back. My burger was kind of sloppy and didn't look nice and tall like I've seen in photos. And like I already said, the hotdog wasn't as good looking as their photos. I'm sad.

The first time I tried this place was the location in Pasadena. I came to this location when they opened the first day and we got free food!!! I was impressed with the quality and service!! I love their burgers. I have tried the hangover which was amaaaazing!! Cheese tater tots and regular tater tots r bombbbb! Must try at least once :)

I gotta give this place a 5! The food was delicious. Service was great considering our order was accidentally lost due to a computer glitch. The staff responded very professionally. Manager gave us a free meal and even the busboy stopped our by our table to apologize for not noticing. We will definitely be back when in the area!

This place used to be a Taco Bell. It's hidden off in a nook by WB Studios. A friend posted photos that she had come and they looked so good that I had to try it. I have to say, this place is so GOOD!! I had "The Hangover burger". It was amazing! Tater tots? YUM!! I don't know if it goes for all their buns but it seems like they use Hawaiian bread for all their buns. Funny thing is, I don't like Hawaiian bread but it was so good with my burger. Will definitely be back to try some of their other selections. My new favorite joint to add to my list!

This place rocks!!!!! Everything is uniquely designed and tastes amazing. The parking is good for this area. Built from an old school Taco Bell. The staff is polite and I even got carded haha. They have a modest beer selection but the draft Pilsner is just fine with the fare.

    (5)
  • Wendy G.

The Hangover was delicious but I was not impressed with the over cooked hot dog. I was expecting the hot dog to be better hence the name but I'll Definitely be sticking to the real street dogs but I'll go back and try other things on the menu. Overall ok experience

First time here, kept it classic to see how good it was. Cheeseburger combo was off the hook. That means it was cooked perfectly, had good flavor, was nice and warm when served to me. Can't wait to come back and explore more of the menu. Eat on!

    (5)
  • Guy T.

The hangover burger is absolutely amazing the Hawaiian rolls are perfect for these burgers. The chili fries are the best I've ever had, tater tots were ok probably would have been better with the cheese on them this place overall is one of the best I'm definitely going to be coming in more often

Everything about this place is 5 star. The food is amazing and the service is even better! It's a laid back environment with fun crowds but it doesn't feel overpacked. Hawaiian rolls = brilliant

Came in for the preview day, had the Holy Aioli and let me tell you it was so good! Such a good burger on Hawaiian bread and with tots on the side. Definitely going again, this time to try a hot dog!

These sausages are delicious. A friend and I split "The Fonz" and it was great. The tater tots are petty good as a side dish too. Definitely recommend any meat lovers to check this place out.

  • Ryan I.

I went their for the first time last night. Not crowd, nice people, and some families. The Hawaiians rolls compliment the meat nicely. The staff was extremely pleasabt and patient with me as I tried to figure out what to order. Nice beer selection but not a place I'd go to get smashed.

    (5)
  • Rafael V.

Hands down the best place for sausages. OH WOW! You are missing out if you have not gone. Please do yourself a favor and make trip down there. Anything and everything on their menu is amazing. Close your eyes and pick! Enjoy and thank me later.

Finally a place in Burbank for easy casual food! The variety is great here and really captures the food diversity in LA through what a simple man would describe as a hot dog. I love that they have tater tots since tots are so find in restaurants and the hot bun is kings Hawaiian bread. Just YUM! I usually don't eat the dough part of the meal but who can resist Hawaiian bread!??!!! The parking lot has a good amount of space but during rush hours like lunch time on Fridays, you should try to get there early if u want easy parking. There's also street parking but that's up to ur luck.

I'm not a gourmet hot dog kinda girl... but this knocked my socks off. I really didn't know what to order and the cashier was kind enough to order something for me, so I ended up with a "Sooo Cali" dog made with the pastrami dog rather than the all-beef. It comes with avocado, tomato, arugula, crumbled crispy onions and a drizzle of basil aioli on a brioche-type bun. It all sounds like a big mess to me, but this flavor combination was outstanding! The delicious saltiness of the pastrami dog with the slight sweetness of the bun were flavor bookends to the avocado-tomato combo, with sweet crunch of onions for texture, an occasional peppery arugula surprise, all stitched together with a basil shoelace. It was just outstanding. Only drawback was that it was too big to fit in my mouth, so it did get all over the place. Quick note: my husband got the Das Brat, a white bratwurst with swiss cheese, grilled onions and grainy mustard - I liked it, but he thought it was awful. Either way, it didn't come CLOSE to my Sooo Cali pastrami dog.

  • Tas S.

My family and I decided to go check the place out. Everything on the menu was awesome! I had the hang over burger. It was awesome bacon, chili, cheese and an egg cooked to perfection. We also shared chili cheese tater tots and a brat worst. Everything was excellent! We are coming back here for sure! It won't disappoint!

  • Doug B.

Been there four times, great stuff. The food is a little heavy, so you it might be tough to make it a regular dining venue, but that doesn't seem to phase them based on the number of customers they always have. Every time the staff is extremely courteous and helpful, which make me want to come back.

    (4)
  • Steve S.

Had the Cowboy dog and tater tots. Both were very good. I usually don' eat the bun but you really have to as it is so good. Dog and onions were also very good. First time here for me and I'll return .

Just finishing up my last bite! No doubt this place is good! Remindes me of Soul Dog in NoHo (closed). This is not a place I can come every day because they are pretty darn pricey and kinda salty but good.

I've been driving by this place on the way to work for a few months now, and was really looking forward to trying it out. Walked in at about noon today, and immediately noticed it was pretty busy. I asked the girl behind the counter how long the wait would be, she told me 15 to 20 minutes. I was on my way to the doctor on my lunch break and was running a little late so I decided I would skip it. She handed me a take out menu and told me I could call ahead on the way back and pick my order up. Awesome! About an hour later as I got in my car I called up to try to place the order. The man who answered told me that they were too busy to accommodate my phone order. I tried to explain to him what the girl had told me, but no luck. I've heard the food is great but I'm not going back on principle. Either you take phone orders or you don't. If you're busy, hire more staff. If you still can't handle it, either open another location close by or raise your prices. There's lots of great food in this area and that's where I'll be spending my money.

Came here for the first time with my girlfriend. I got the all beef with bacon, fried egg, and tater tots. Really good, and the slider burger was bomb as well. Also tried the big mutha clucka. That was great as well. Will definently reccommend to people

We LOVE LOVE LOVE Dog Haus! So excited they just opened this location in Burbank so we dont have to sit in traffic trying to get to Pasadena. Beer and wine available here in 3 weeks! Great service, great location, great food. Scott Baoli and The Cowboy are our go to! This is an LA "Must Try"!!!

  • robert D.

No folks. Nice people, but this is a menu that tries way too hard. I got the basic with kraut which was unremarkable. Fries and onion rings were greasy and soggy. And the wildly esoteric toppings don't belong on a hot dog. There's bacon and 4 or 6 other things on every dog. And do we really need a bulgogi/kimchee hot dog, or barbecue sauce on a Polish kielbasa? Went to Wurstkuche for the first time the same week. Less was much more. The toppings there belong on a dog or a sausage. Had an Italian sausage which had a slight crunch to the skin, a better bun and perfect fries, crisp, no greasy fingers. No grease on the bag.. The hamburger at The Dog Haus was mealy, and the bun was a really bad, esoteric choice, kind of 4 Parker or Sara Lee dinner rolls still stuck together. A novelty that Jack in the Box is also trying. But I'd rather have a good bun that compliments the burger, not a retro sugar bomb. Really wanted this to be good but...

  • Danielle A.

I'm a bit bias because this Dog Haus is so close to my apartment. Huge selection of sausages and hot dogs (including vegetarian) with a ton of topping options. They do have beer, which I think is cans only. Try the cheesy tots, they're the best! Easy parking, great outdoor patio and limitless combinations of sausages and toppings. Will definitely be back!

  • Elijah W.

Man what a great lunch place. My girlfriend and I just moved pretty close to this place and decided to give it a try. Wow.. The flavors this place offers beat you in the face and show no mercy. I got the hangover burger and the chili egg combo with Hawaiian roll bun were all perfect together. I guess it goes without saying that i will be back. Courteous staff, great music, great food.

  • Bella C.

I can't recall what it's exactly called, but I got a sausage with an egg on it. It's soooo delicious and they have a few options of condiments with a few different choices of mustard which I love! One of the aspects that completed the experience was the gentleman at the cashier. He was happy and upbeat with a cool demeanor that created a fun atmosphere for my fiancé and I. Will definitely go back!

  • Tori S.

This place is ridiculous. I have to wait in a parking lot for 15 mins with my 2 year old and 6 month old just to get inside to find out its 20$ for 2 cheese burgers and a soda. This place is totally over priced and understaffed. And it smells like cigarettes inside just what me and my kids like to smell while we eat. If your going to charge 5x what a hot dog cost at least make it eatable and enjoyable to go to!!!!

  • Rosa O.

Best tasting burgers I have ever had , the choices are one of a kind and the burgers are cooked to perfection, I love the choices of either tots or forts best place ever!!!!!

  • Iron S.

I guess Umani Burger started this "high" end fast food. This place is smaller then the one in Woodland Hills, but the food is still very good. I do like that you can choose anything you want on your hot dog/sausage and they do have either hawaiian bread or a french roll. They don't have a lot of tables and they do have some communal tables, so you run the risk that you sit with other people, but that is not a turn off for me. I've had the pastrami sausage and the hot dog and both are very good. I also had the grilled onions, bacon, chopped onions, tomatoes, relish and some other toppings I can not remember but all were very good. They did have a place where you could get your own mustard (deli, honey, dijon) and ketchup and some hot sauce so if you wanted more then what comes on the dog you can squirt to your hearts desire. It was also very reasonable considering what you get.

The cute red head girl was very nice and recommended the chili cheese tots WHICH WERE BOMB and made my first visit a very welcoming and memorable experience. Will return for the great food and of course to see the pretty little red haired lady.

Went on opening day and got a free Haus dog. The Hawaiian-bunned sausage was just scrumptious! A swirl of awesome flavors and perfect balance between salty and sweet.

Me and some of my friends wanted to go to this new hangout where they had amazing hot dogs. However since I don't eat the hot dogs I decided to have a cheeseburger with fries. The burger seemed to instantly melt in my mouth with their soft bread. It seemed as though the meet wasn't even there, like it had no texture. Never the less it was alright and I really like the fries. For a small dessert I had one of their freshly baked cookies which I enjoyed. Overall good experience

Really good food. Huge portions. Tater tots are great!

  • Lucy G.

I was curious about this place and gave it a try. Ordered some chili cheese fries and was so disappointed. They were too salty. The fries were seasoned and made it too salty since the chili is already seasoned. WHY!!!! It hurt to pay $5.00 for a small container of chili fries and I couldn't eat them cause no one seemed to freaken taste their product before serving it.

  • May S.

The service is fantastic. Everyone's got a smile on their face and they're very helpful if you need help with the menu. It's a small place. Seating is limited. There's indoor and outdoor seating. The parkin lot is small. I had the soo cali with tater tots and it was very tasty. The sweet roll buns was toasted perfectly and the tots were nice and crisp.

This Haus Dog called OLD TOWN DOG was so filled with flavor that this place can't get anything less then a 5 Star Rating, great and very welcoming staff. The Love Boat ToTs got me in a state of Euphoria that I can't explain, felt like my first Rave! Great seating area with very beautiful decor. Looks like this place knows what it's doing when it comes to pleasing there customers! Diana R. Gave excellent customer service! I will defiantly be back!

Love this place. Quality burgers for an affordable price. Their frieburger is beyond amazing. Fried egg slaw and french fries on a burger with hawaiian rolls as buns? Count me in! Make sure to get the tots on the side or their cheese fries. Only downside to this location is no TVs.

  • Kat L.

Recently saw they opened up near where I work, saw they had tater tots, had to go lol They have a really good selection of sausages, including vegetarian options. They also have hamburgers that look great but this time I tried one of their hotdogs. The staff is super friendly and the environment has a cool industrial feel to it. I got the chili cheese tater tots and scott baioli dog. The hotdog meat is very tasty and it's a large portion. The topping combination I got I didn't care for too much so next time gotta try another combo. The garlic aioli is nice and chunky! They serve all their items on hawaiian sweet bread. Personally I like that bread but was a bit too sweet with the combo I got. The tater tots where good, nothing out of the ordinary though. The chili was SUPER delicious and really wish they put more of it because they barely put any. I would definitely come back just for the chili! I definitely want to try the burgers and actual sausage options one of these days!

Today was the grand opening of Burbank Dog Haus and you'd think the service would be slow. With the excellent staff and the great service it was extremely fast. The food was cook to perfection! And like I said the staff was excellent, friendly and nice even offering me a free hotdog. Truly a memorable experience and I will return.

So I went a second time this time trying the Frieburger. A 1/4 ounce hamburger topped with cole slaw, fries, and a fried egg, it is contained by a Kings Hawaiian as is everything else in the "Haus". Really delicious, loved it, look forward to coming back and trying something new.

Not your classic hotdog stand. Having said that, a pretty legit hotdog place. Chili cheese fries are excellent too. Combine that with the music selection that isn't afraid to say F U to typical hipster music that's so common with all the places around here, and definitely a good place. I think I heard Ozzie, Iron Maiden.

    (5)
  • Jessica M.

Such a good hot dog! They are so nice and the service is perfect. They have a lot to choose from, and their sliders are excellent as well. They also have veggie options! Also recommend the malts and tater tots.

  • M E.

Work a few blocks away and been there twice in two weeks. Why? Because it's fairly priced, good and a few blocks away. Definitely a welcome addition to neighborhood. Action item: I need to try something other than the downtown dog and burger next time!

  • Jan T.

I love this place! My sister told me theres a really good hot dog place in canoga park, and I yelped it found out that they opened one in burbank too! I got fig& pig and by fiance got taekwondog and cheese tots. They mixed up our order and gave us french fries instead of cheese tots and when we told them they gave us the fries for free and gave us our cheese tots right away. Service is definitely good! The hot dogs and cheese tots were all amazingly awesome! Very satisfying! And the bread they used makes a whole lot of difference, its really good, i think its Hawaiian bread. Yummmy! We're excited to try everything on the menu. Definitely going back!

The best hot dog in the history of the Universe is the Detroit Coney Island Hot Dog. This is a fact of science, and if you disagree, you are anti-science. Because of this irrefutable fact, every time I go out for a hot dog, I'm subconsciously looking for a DCIHD. Picture this, and bend the knee: A long kosher all-beef thin dog slathered in mellow, buttery chili, topped with diced onions and drizzled with mayo. The casing snaps, there is magic in the chili, and the steamed bun somehow carries it all, like a bridge over troubled water. And it goes great with chili fries. I want to the Dog Haus (broseph!) and had myself a Downtown Dog, Dog Haus' version of a Mexican street dog -- also a bright star in the hot dog firmament, and a like the Detroit Coney, a recipe consecrated by time and usage. Dog Haus' version consisted of an all-beef dog (was a little big, no snap to it) wrapped in bacon (it took a couple bites to notice it was even there), slathered with caramelized veggies, mayo, ketchup and mustard, which all started making the Hawaiian sweet roll bun gooey (I was tearing off chunks of it). Meh. Fail. A quote from the Wire popped into my head -- "You come at the king, you best not miss." Hot dogs are an American staple and the reasons why are subtle, almost contradictory. To crack this code you need to first have respect for what's come before and why it worked. After my trip to Dog Haus, I got the sense that the soon-to-be CEOs got together in the Mystery Machine, sparked one, and had a conversation like this: "I got an idea. Let's take a bunch of tried and true recipes and change 'em up a little bit, because we're geniuses." "Yeah, yeah... let's replace the bun with a HAWAIIAN SWEET ROLL." "We'll make the interior rustic." "But insustrial" Totally, dude." "Like Chipotle, only edgier." "Dude let me hit that." "It'll work because we're geniuses." And it has. There are Dog Hauses all over the valley. God help us all.

Just tried it for my first time and this place was excellent. I tried two dogs, both were great. I imagine I'll try a new menu item every time I come. The buns are AMAZING. Both hotdogs and hamburgers come on fluffy Hawaiian buns, and that's the best part. Also there is a great selection if interesting flavors, toppings include everything from peanuts and Thai spices to fried egg and maple syrup. The employees were very courteous, and although there was a slight wait, it was exactly what you'd expect for a fresh meal. You really can't go wrong, anyone giving this place less than 4 or 5 stars is crazy. I will be coming back.

I really enjoyed Doghaus! Their sliders are amazing. I love that they use Hawaiian rolls. I would try a different sausage my next visit. Or just get a hotdog. My sausage (Das Brat) was good but not great. I went on Saturday so it was pretty crowded. I would suggest a weekday or not early afternoon on weekend.

Found this place after visiting Warner Bros. Ordered a combination of hot dogs & burgers. Loved all of them, especially the creative dogs.

  • Hooligan M.

Delicious food...but there needs to be a list of different types of actual dogs/sausages you can choose from to make a Dog Haus dish. I couldn't find that on the menu. I only eat vegetarian dogs..I know they used to carry several to choose from and when I called in a substantial order for our family, the person on the phone had to check on everything I asked about. She didn't know much..and that's okay but she should have known what kind of dogs to offer that were vegetarian. Overall, the food is good..kids' meals shouldn't have caramelized onions on the sliders..most kids don't like them. I had to pick off a lot of onions before all the kids would eat their sliders. Tots were cold, had to reheat them and we only live several blocks away...they didn't taste fresh or made to order.

Probably THE best hot dog I've ever had. Service was great, staff was friendly and attentive, and the place was clean. I'll be back. (Sounds like Arnold).

Great dog and sausage selection; good sized menu with enough options to choose from but not overwhelming. The cheesy tots are glutinous but delicious; I have the pig and the fit and my boyfriend got the dog with kimchi. This place is going to get packed quickly, especially once the beer and wine menu opens up. Great decor, friendly staff and fresh food. We live walking distance and excited to have this as part of the rotation! Building was an old Taco Bell and this is such a better spot for this neighborhood.

We came by wed night and noticed some activity inside. We were told to come back the next day for a soft opening between 12-2pm. When we arrived at 1:20, we were rudely ushered away as the company ran out of food. Who runs out of food an hour and a half in? I drive by this place frequently but I definitely won't bother stopping again.

Well I've been waiting to come this place since it opened. Finally did today, Have read the other reviews, but I guess I just don't get it. They really fixed up the old Taco Bell nice and the staff was super friendly. I ordered the downtown dog. It comes with bacon, cheese, caramelized onions, red peppers, mayo, mustard, and ketchup. Well it was just WAY too much for me. The bacon wrapped dog made it really salty (and I LOVE salt). And the toppings just didn't work for me. More is not always better. I may go back and try a plain dog with just mustard onions and relish.

Soooo much food. Despite how tempting it sounds, a combo with fries is almost certainly too much for one person.

  • Guy W.

I went there for the second time today. First time I had a braught. Today was a burger. I don't understand the trend with serving Hawaiian sweet bread as the only bun option. Murph's on Ventura does this too. It's basically cheap bread loaded with sugar. As someone wanting to limit my consumption of sugar, I can't see eating here. It's too bad since the location is so perfect for me to grab lunch on my way to work. If they start serving burgers on a nicely baked brioche, I'll definitely be back.

The dogs are great, the sausages are great, and the burgers are great! I've tried over a dozen items from the menu and only the corn dogs are mediocre (the root beer batter sounds good on paper but doesn't taste great). But everything else is great! The shakes, the tater tots, the onion rings, etc. are all brilliant! The only complaint is the terrible trash cans which are honestly the worst I've ever encountered in a restaurant. The openings are way too small to dump things from your tray so it can get messy. But all of the food and friendly staff more than makes up for it. Quite possibly the best hamburgers I've tried. The Hawaiian buns are soft, sweet, and delicious. Go eat there now!

I've been to this establishment a few different times now and I have yet to be disappointed! The dogs and burgers are both of amazing quality. My boyfriend is more of a hot dog guy and he LOVES the little leaguer. I myself like burgers more and I love the build your own option. The quality of meat is amazing and they know how to get that beautiful medium temp. The only things I think need improvement are the cookies. They were a little to hard for my taste. Also the vanilla shake was spectacular but a little small for $5. Overall I will continue to frequent this place (especially since I love right down the street.)

I went back to Dog Haus last week and tried the hangover burger. Excellent! Bacon and a fried egg, perfection. It is a generous portion too. With my fries and a drink? I am a fan. Next up, trying a dog that will tickle my fancy too. I will be back!

yum is all i can say (but i wont)...this place was an amazing discovery made by a friend who works close by...they have a simple menu which is perfect because they focus on what they do well and then knock it out of the park! a must have i've you're feeling adventurous is their taekwondo dog...get it with the fried egg...you'll be glad you did...that creamy yolk is perfection! something else they have that is a must try...their tater tots...get them cheesy and you're in heaven!! customer service is also spot on...the girl behind the counter was super helpful on our first visit when we couldnt decide what to get...everything she recommended was great! the only down fall is that its small so not good for groups...and we usually travel in a large group...but, still doable...for food this good...i'd ditch my group...
