First time here on a Saturday afternoon. Very clean, awesome decor. The black and tan was delish. They were out of Bass ale, but totally okay with the Firestone 805 pale ale. Looking forward to trying the Pepimo Sour and the Ahi Tuna Tower on my next visit. Live band setting up in the background. Looks like a great Saturday night adventure. :)

Too bad they closed. Went there once with some friends and I even bought a bunch of the Livingsocial vouchers to use.

Uh...there's a sign on the front that says closed. Was this place shut down or what?! I tried to go for the first time. Update: Closed

Careful former employees and anyone who has anything negative to say about this place! The owners wife takes it upon herself to play God and harass you for your negative input. I worked for the establishment and had my checks bounced every pay period along with many many others, she got upset when I made a comment on facebook about it. Unfortunately, I had to contact the IRS for my W-2 forms eventually as I had not received them. Then she sends me a message. A. I don't work for your company anymore, no need to harass me B. If you feel the need to defend yourself, guilty.

This was my first visit to firehouse, I was a little taken back upon the entrance. We got there around 11:45 and I wasn't sure if they were open yet since we came in from the back entrance and all the lights were so dim. Fortunately we weren't the only people there ( I hate it when that happens) so my family and I sat towards the sunnier side. Our waitress lacked experience in my opinion. She wasn't sure what beer was on tap nor what non alcoholic kids drinks were available ( FYI no Apple juice here) nor did she make an effort to double check as to what drinks were available. She was also blonde, sooooo maybe that's just how she is. For appetizers we got onion rings, they were really good. My son ordered the chicken strips kids meal, he approved. My husband ordered the towering inferno chicken burger, he approved. I'm not sure what is meant by towering, it was as small as mines. Still spicy and good. I forgot the name of my chicken burger but it came with crispy Apple wood bacon and a whole half of an avocado, it also comes with blu cheese but I had them put it on the side. My burger was really good, to my liking I did add BBQ to give it more flavor, it was all a mixture of good flavors. My overall experience was alright, it's a big place and it's still new to the city, so I'm sure they're still working on it.

We have eaten here twice now and hope they can make a go of the place. We had dinner once and breakfast once. I like the variety of of dishes they offer. The food is always served hot & fresh. They have made some little changes to the every day dish which gives them an edge. If I had to ding them for anything it would be service. Both times we were there it was not very busy so there was minimal staff. The wait between ordering and receiving was a bit longer then it should have been if there were more staff on hand. I also feel the prices are a bit to high. Not by an exorbitant amount but a few dollars here and there. Yes we would go there again and would also recommend the place. I am sure they are going thru some growing pains and hope they can get things smoothed out as they have the potential to be a great place to eat.

Handwritten sign on door saying "Closed for Repairs" for the last 2 weeks (right after Valentine's Day 2015). Haven't seen anyone in the place, no information on their webpage or Facebook page. I have a feeling that the repairs that need fixing is their business model. I live nearby and rarely saw more than 2 or 3 tables with patrons. Loved this restaurant when it opened but it went downhill. Portions got smaller, quality went down, service became slower and slower. I couldn't figure out how there would be 2 tables of patrons and we'd have to ask for water refills. I would love to see this place reopen but service and quality need to improve for it to succeed.

Recently purchased a livingsocial deal for this place. Stopped by at 8pm hungry, and it was closed. Had a sign that read closed for repair. Why sell a offer if you aren't even open? Will redo my review when/if they open up again :/

Went in for lunch with my friend. The decor is nice a little gimmicky for my taste but that's besides the point. I know they're still not officially open and are currently working on their soft opening menu, I didn't find anything spectacular on it. I ordered a Cobb Salad at nearly 10 bucks I was expecting a decent size salad but that wasn't the case. I almost want to say that a McDonalds salad is bigger. My friend ordered a burger and tots, again nothing special about it. Can I say that the service here is ridiculously slow. At the 25 minute mark we flagged down a server to ask about our order. His excuse was we make everything from scratch. I can understand that but almost 30 minutes for a burger and a salad when the restaurant only has 3 patrons is unacceptable in my book. When my salad finally came my companions meal was nowhere in sight. It took another couple minutes before it was out. Another one of my pet peeves is when everyone is not served at the same time. We ordered our meals at the same time, we're sitting together so why aren't we eating together??? it just ruins the experience. IMO Get it together in the kitchen department, your wait staff we're friendly and pleasant but the long wait times aren't. With all that said don't think I will be returning, would have been nice to find a close lunch spot since I work down the street.

Excellent customer service. Staff were very attentive and friendly. The restaurant appeared clean, nicely air conditioned, the decor/style is very unique. Also had great music. Food: my fiancé loved the baby back ribs. They were nice and tender. Way better than TGIF and Lucille's ribs. Tots, sliders, onion rings, try tip sandwiches, tri tip platter were delicious. We're definitely going back for more :-)

I found out about this restaurant on Facebook. A friend of a friend commented on the soft opening they had on Saturday. We decided to try breakfast this morning. We arrived about 10:00am. Everything is shiny and new, and the decor is very impressive. They have a firehouse theme, without looking like a museum. I ordered the Eggs Franklin ($11.25) and my wife ordered the King's Hawaiian French Toast ($11.25). Their take on Eggs Benedict was very interesting, and obviously very well thought out. The first thing I noticed was that the egg was cooked perfectly. I stabbed it with my fork and the yolk ran just like you would expect. It's nice to see an egg that's properly cooked. I wasn't sure how the Swiss cheese, spinach and tomatoes would play into the Eggs Benedict, but it worked and I was very impressed. My wife's eggs were also cooked perfectly (over easy). The French toast had cinnamon on it and was very tasty. The sausage was also very good. I even loved the coffee. This is a soft opening, but if this is a sign of what's to come, we will definitely be back soon. It would be a mistake not to try this interesting new restaurant.

First of all, the decor is interesting, if a bit quirky, and the restaurant was bright and squeaky clean. Lighting is largely achieved through the use of individual lamps at each table, featuring firemen hats as lampshades. It's a bit brighter than you'd normally expect, but helps to establish the character of an actual firehouse. Service was certainly above average, but not exceptional. Initially, there was an awkward handoff from the waitress that took our drink orders and the waiter that subsequently asked whether we'd like anything to drink and turned out to be our server. However, for the remainder of the meal, service was attentive and timely. This was our first visit to Fire House Chefs and I hadn't had an opportunity to check Yelp for recommendations, so I took a chance and asked the waiter for his suggestions. Among his immediate and unequivocal choices were the Pulled Pork Sandwich and Meat Loaf - both of which had sounded fairly appealing on the menu. We concurred and our order went off to the kitchen. The meal was served promptly and the quality was good. It's difficult to describe, but you're left with the impression that you're eating a meal that would actually be served to firefighters. Hearty portions, well-seasoned (bordering on spicy), accompanied by flavorful sauces. The seasoned fries could've been crisper, but were quite acceptable nonetheless. Firehouse Chefs provides a good value, pleasant ambiance, and delicious food. We will definitely return... soon.

We had the opportunity this afternoon to finally visit Fire House Chef's Restaurant. The food was unsurprisingly outstanding and the atmosphere is beyond describable!!!!! We will definitely be coming back and we urge those of you that haven't tried Firehouse Chefs to give it a try. You won't be disappointed..

Stopped by because I want to support local Bellflower business, and Im happy to see they are fixing up Bellflower blvd... hopefully it will be on par with Harbor street in Fullerton in a few years. Ther service was al ittle cumbersome, but they are new so its nothing major. What made up for it was the laid back atmosphere and the friendly servers & bartenders. cool place to have a drink and watch the game. The beer battered onion rings are good. Also they had a good band playing the other night. Playing 80s & rock. Good place to have a beer in Btown.

Stopped in while i was waiting for my phone yo get repaired down the street. The place was pretty empty. Caught some of the football game while i waited for my phone down the street. Me and my bud had a couple of drinks which were nice and cold, he had the burger which he commented, was pretty good. Worth another stop by.

OK. My wife's uncle was some big fire chief and they're all about the "fireman" thing, so I really wanted to like and support this place. First off, the entry from the street is weird. There's no indication that you're in the right place, unless you get fully into the restaurant. If you watch Kitchen Nightmares and Restaurant Impossible, they hate this type of entry. It's just weird. Once you get in there, the place is cavernous. I think I saw a capacity sign saying 170+ people, so once they get it right, they should be raking in the dough. The bar is also a decent size, but on a monday night football night, it was relatively deserted. That doesn't bode well. The bar area should be packed on MNF. The good: Service. Our server was great. The tots were delicious. The bad: The rest of the food. Ordered the brat sandwich. They "ran out" of pretzel rolls, and put it on sourdough. It was terrible...and greasy like the Exxon Valdez. The onion rings were battered, and I thought would be good (given the quality of the tots), but were also terrible. The oil clearly wasn't up to temp, so rather than frying, the rings absorbed the oil and puffed up. Again...very greasy. The butter cake was average at best. I'm willing to give this place a shot for breakfast - cause I'd really like this type of place to succeed - but I suspect it will be equally disappointing....hopefully not. Lastly, the owners should really police this site. Some of my observations are the same as others. They clearly haven't read prior reviews and modified accordingly. This is an easy venue for feedback and to improve. Given the fact they're competing against Johnny Rebs and Fronks, which, IMHO are much better eateries, they're going to go out of business soon...unless they listen to their patrons and improve.

I'm definitely going back, one of the best burgers I've had in a while! I believe the "build it yourself burger" is a great idea and very delicious. I thought the garlic sauce that it comes on the burger was great. French fries were also tasty. I had the tortilla soup as an appetizer and thought it was delicious! Enjoyed the Firehouse Museum type atmosphere. Service was friendly.

We were here with a big group, and service was sufficient given the large group of people we had. They were very accommodating, and even split the bill up into several checks for us at the end. The chips and salsa were great, as was the garlic tots. The onion rings were a bit on the greasy side, as if they hadn't been allowed to drain long enough before being placed on the plate; however, they still tasted good. They were very accommodating of my order, since I'm a vegetarian and don't eat meat. They allowed me to turn my "burger" into a fried egg sandwich, and it was quite tasty. The churro split we had at the end of the meal was quite tasty as well. The drinks were tasty too. We did have a few problems that others have mentioned. Not all of the food came out once. Two of our party had to wait quite a bit longer than everyone else to get their food. Also, a couple of dishes had odd temperature differences (as in parts were warm, and parts were cold instead of all cold or all warm). All in all, everything was as expected; and this restaurant is a nice addition to downtown Bellflower.

For being what the reputation that Firehouse Chefs get, i decided to take my family out for a Wednesday night dinner. We had 3 different people help us during our visit and not that it's a bad thing, it was just confusing on who we should contact. Our hostess who sat us down was sweet and although, it sounds bad when i say this, it was more cute. She asked us for our drink order and I asked for a coke and water and she said let me check if we have that. "Really?" she was nervous and that's why it was more cute, than frustrating. Like an "oh honey" moment. Our waitress then approached, with no enthusiasm what so ever, to my mother's opinion, she had resting bitch face. Now as she approached, there was no greeting, I asked her for her name. As a service employee, guest interaction and service should be your best qualities. Apparently, not hers as she looked like she just got out of her gym class, wearing yoga pants. Collectively, we ordered the LBC caesar, wedge salad, flank steak w/ garlic mash, beef sliders, chicken club and onion rings. - Grilled romaine for the Caesar salad? no - Wedge salad with a wedge of white onion? at least red onions guys - flank steak because they ran out of the rib eye (smh) - ran out of steak sauce? the Worcestershire sauce that they supplemented with was watered down with, what it seemed to be soy sauce? IDK, but gross - the garlic mash potatoes looked unappealing, as if they were uncovered with no lid or wrap on them exposed all day. Or, which I really think they were reheated. garlic mash potatoes are not grey. -onion rings were decent - The Angus beef sliders? more like meatloaf sliders soaked in Worcestershire sauce. Not at all impressed. For the firefighters themselves, I'm glad they got a place of their own to hangout and enjoy a beer after a long shift, but as for the patron... My family would have been happier with Chick-fil-a. The third server, who didn't give his name, was actually empathetic and understanding of experience. He said he was there for only a couple days. Maybe he'll bring in some light to this place for it is going up in smoke. Laugh of the night went to when I asked for another menu, since they shorted us one. After looking around, there were no other people with menus with them. However, they said there was a huge party in the back. Which can be understandable, i suppose. But when I asked, what would happen if the 12 booths against the wall and the other numerous tables were all packed, how would they order? Their response, "I guess they would all have to share"

Okay. So this would be my third trip to this place, and it appears to be my last as well. Ordered the Tri Tip Platter with Tots. Pros: *Tots were good as usual. Cons: *There were more tots than there were Tri Tip. You can easily finish the Trip Tip in 4 bites. *Waitress asked me how I'd like my Tri Tip, I responded medium, and it comes out well done. Result: Lack of flavor and juices. *It's not a platter, it's more like a toddler plate. *I was literally the only customer around dinner time on a Monday, until a couple dropped in, which happened to know the waitress and the other waiter. They all sat together in the bar area chatting it up like on Cheers (if you're born in the 2000's you wouldn't get this reference). I guess if this place has less than 5 customers it warrants the ignore button. Overall Result: This place seems to get less and less customers, and now I know why. The food is not too appealing, and the service lacks professional experience. I gave this place 3 shots, and in all 3 this place strikes out.

The place was dead. The service was not great, I would give it an eh...and because of that I didn't even want to have a drink! Menu was very very tiny! I hope the "actual" menu has bigger font. Food was not good at all. The tuna looked weird, it looked like it was cooked but yet it was a little raw. The chicken sandwich, chicken fingers and sweet potato fries were blah and bland, nothing special at all. Costco's "sample" food is a lot better! I was very disappointed in this place as I live nearby. The Mexican place that was there previously should have stayed! They had entertainment every Friday. #Fail

Went during soft opening and based on my experience I won't be back. When you walk into the restaurant it's very confusing. You aren't sure where to go as you are facing a wall and in the middle of a patio where others are eating. No one greets you so you get the impression that you should seat yourself. But, it isn't really clear because the entrance forces you to face a wall (the layout is kind odd). There are no menus anywhere so you begin to think that maybe you should just wait at the front til someone seats you but then they never do so you think f@#k it an sit anywhere. Then you get dirty looks from servers because you didn't sit where they wanted you to. Drinks were not good. Bartenders were nice but cannot make a drink. It seemed as though no one ever taught them how before. So, it's really management's fault for (1) not teaching them or (2) hiring them. Same goes with 90% of the staff here. Sorry, service sucked. We never had a server, we had like 6 servers. I never knew who to ask if I wanted anything. Everything was confusing. Food was just alright. I ordered the tri tip and sweet potato fires and was disappointed. The flavor of the meat was good but I think that is because they put lot of salt on it. It was also cut in the wrong direction - it kinda looked like shredded meat. Fries were ok. ALL customers were aggravated. Some people were missing food, others drinks, others needed to pay but couldn't find anyone, etc... Hard opening - we asked about it. Was told they had no idea what was going on and handed us a flyer. The flyer doesn't say anything about happy hour, discounts, food specials, or ANYTHING that would warrant making the flyer. So, again, I am confused at this point. Overall, The ambiance is nice. Decorations and theme could be kinda cool. But, for bad drinks, horrible service, and just ok food - I won't be back.

I came in here to see a friend perform (sing) live and ordered a grilled chicken ceaser salad. The waitress mentioned that the lettuce was actually grilled and comes out looking a little wilted, she wanted to make sure I understood that. I asked for regular lettuce and she obliged. The salad and chicken were great! I ate every bite and kind of wanted to lick my plate, but remembered that I was in public. This is a neat place to eat. Give it a chance and ignore reviews from people trying to drive down an ally who feel they have the information to leave an educated review on this restaurant.

I first visited FHC when they first opened up a couple of weeks ago and I was sooo hooked that I had to bring my colleagues! If the ambiance' doesn't get you at first sight, the food DEFINITELY get you at first bite! The owner is a member of the LB Fire Department and it shows all over the restaurant! He is also VERY personable and takes time out to meet and chat his guests! When you walk in through the back of the building, you will be instantly stunned by all the intricate custom work that was done to the restaurant. It's looks like a fire station! There is both indoor seating (which you enter though the back) and a patio area which overlooks Bellflower Blvd., (and lots of free parking! ) This will be GREAT in the summer time! Now...let's get to the food....The restaurant is still on a soft-opening, so the menu is limited...but you still have a good selection! I HIGHLY recommend the hummus duo and the calamari! The chef definitely put his own personal touch to his recipes, because this is no ordinary calamari or hummus... it is exceptionally good. Ingredient are high quality and always fresh. The hummus duo comes with a spicier bell pepper hummus and another that has a hint of garlic that is just right! The calamari is paired PERFECTLY with this sweet & sour chili that is simply TO-DIE-FOR!!! Service was GREAT and with a smile! Another slam-dunk to this establishment is that proceeds go to organizations supporting firefighters! THIS PLACE IS A GEM ALL THE WAY AROUND!! Finally, Downtown Bellflower gets a heartbeat; and that's Fire House Chefs!

So I noticed that this restaurant has lots of mixed reviews... Either 5 stars or 1 stars, and not many in between. I found the service to be attentive and friendly, the food to be plentiful and well prepared, but everything over priced. I'm also not entirely sure, but I think I was overcharged $1.00. Our food was pretty good. My wife and I shared the Bacon Cristo, which was a breakfast sandwich with French Toast for bread. It was a bit overwhelming but it tasted really good. I'm worried about this place because it was completely empty, and we are slow eaters so we were there for about a full hour and no other patrons came in. Not really sure what they can do to improve things, but one this is for certain: When there are numerous typos on the menus, there is something lacking in the QC department. Probably won't eat there often, but not regretful that we gave it a try.

This new restaurant just opened in downtown Bellflower and is still in the soft opening phase. When we walked in we were very impressed by the decor - very detailed and you can tell it was very thought out. Our server was great, no complaints there. We ordered a Caesar salad and not sure why but it came after our hamburgers.. The make it yourself burgers were tasty but we thought they should have came with lettuce and tomatoes. We really liked the options available to add to the burger but were wondering if you didn't want to pay $1 each for the extra toppings would you just get a patty and bread? Also we ordered different breads for our burgers but when it came out they didn't look any different. The boyfriend ordered garlic tater tots but fries came out. They just opened so I'm sure they're still ironing everything out, I'm definitely looking forward to coming back when the full menu is available and they've worked out the kinks.

We decided to check out FIREHOUSE CHEFS FOOD + DRINKS last night. The service: We walked in and staff was nice and welcoming. We were greeted at the door and seated right away. They are having their soft opening, grand opening is July 25th. I have been at other restaurants soft openings so i am very understanding on how difficult it is to get the managing at perfection. The food did take a while to get. the staff was very attentive and informative of what was going on. When we got the food ... WOW. The wait was worth my wait! :) The food: I ordered the caprese chicken sandwich. I definitely will recommend it! It was so delicious!!! Every bite was so flavorful. The chicken, the artisian bun, the sauce, the tomatoes..All tasty!! The sandwich comes with a choice of pepper jicama slaw, sweet potato fries, tater tots, and fries. My party order the jicama slaw and tater tots. Both were very tasteful. Who makes tater tots taste any special. . FHC does! Tater tots are seasoned and not the ordinary tots. I'll be coming back for more. . I didn't get to order dessert because I was full. But the churros with vanilla bean ice cream AND caramel sauce caught my eyes. Let me not forget the 80's band playing. The Music was great! *The music, the staff, the food, cleanliness = great ambience.

I can't say I was that impressed. I went during the soft opening so I did give some leeway on the fact they were still sorting things out. We ordered some ahi tuna to start, it was pretty good but nothing special. For dinner I had a steak...never again from this place. Terrible taste and a poor cut of meat. My girlfriend had the seared ahi dinner since they were out of the salmon she had ordered. It was tasty but they cooked each slice all around and was way overcooked to be called seared.

If you do not come here, you are truly missing out. Great food, great service, great atmosphere and on Sunday, great karaoke. Love that damn chocolate bunny. T.v.s at the bar happy hour and meatloaf so good you don't need to chew it. Seriously, these guys can even make Brussel sprouts better than mine and that's the first time I have ever said that. Love this place. Don't forget to look up when you come in.

Came here for the first time today and had an enjoyable experience. We were promptly greeted even though we came in through the back (and it was dead). The staff was friendly and the interior was amazing! This place initially caught my eye because I saw it was fire house themed, and seeing my 2 year old loves fire trucks, it was a perfect fit. The food was good, I I got a chicken sandwich that had bacon and bleu cheese. It was delicious, but I should have prompted without the bleu cheese, not a fan. It was accompanied with jicama/poet slaw which was good but barely any peppers and I was hoping for something more refreshing , not creamy. I should have put 2+2 together, regardless it was good. Overall I was satisfied with this place, I see us coming back in the future. I just don't understand why it is soooo dead, cool ambiance but with no guests, there was only one party here beside ourselves.

The food is great, the staff is welcoming and it's just a fun place to be. They are a little slow during this soft open phase so please don't write them off yet. It's great to sit in the open patio and enjoy great food and great weather. Love the place and who doesn't love a firefighter.

We will be back, as their food is delicious. I recommend it! That's the short story. In actuality, our overall experience wasn't hugely impressive, because we checked out the place at the Grand Opening. The live music, while good, was much too loud for dinner atmosphere, and the service was incredibly slow. At the same time it was busy, and of course the staff is entirely new. We decided to be gracious and let them work everything out. We will make a judgment about it later. Besides, we can't judge the friendliness of the staff since we were all yelling above the music anyhow. We were also a bit disappointed that there weren't any grand opening specials, as that is the reason we wanted to go on that particular night. We would have skipped the event had we known and gone another night. Oh well... The food we ordered, he a tri-tip panini sandwich with jicama-pepper slaw, and I, a bbq pork sandwich with sweet potato fries, was incredibly delicious. The flavors were both unique and tasty. Prices are also decent for a sit-down restaurant. So far, we are thankful for good food at a neighborhood restaurant. I hope it gets even better from here. Best wishes, FHC owners and staff.

This is a great new restaurant on Bellflower Blvd. Tater Tots are to die for. They have regular and garlic. Everything we have tried is excellent. Staff is cheerful and friendly. Be sure to ask for items not on the menu. We found the chili cheese Tater Tots this way, by the way they were great.

I've been here about 5 times. The bar has never failed me! Service is good , but seems like not everyone is on the same page (leadership) and it seems like the servers are always new. I want to love this place!!!!! But I'm disappointed every time. I have tried the tri-tip (server never asked how I want it cooked). It was dry and over cooked and my mashed were cold. I've had the kids grilled cheese and it tasted like my kid made it in the microwave. Sandwiches are compared to home made only dryer. Grilled without butter I guess. Tater tots are always good though. They also changed their Ranch dressing from bottled yucky to yummy!!! Thank you!!!! I can now go and at least get good drinks and fried food to dip in ranch!

The food was such a disappointment, I will never recommend this restaurant.I ordered food through LA Bite, ordered Tri-Tip, Calamari appetizer, waffles and chicken and dessert. The tri-tip was very dry, came with garlic mashed potatoes that were more garlic than potatoes. The calamari was just gross, we took one bite and threw it out. The menu looks good but too bad the food didn't come through.

Saw a post on husband's FB and decided to try it out last week. It was Saturday morning and there was only one other couple in there. Menu was printed on a sheet of paper, but that's okay. Husband asked for chicken fried steak and got chicken fried chicken, the waffle was sent to the table late. I had their version of monte cristo breakfast sandwich, wasn't too bad. Still had the menu at the table and notice i was supposed to get potato with my meal. Mentioned it to the waitress and she had to look at the menu and then said the chef did not know that. By the time the potato came, we were done. Will most like;y not return.

This place is done. Food was just ok. The whole firehouse theme was a little much unless you were a firefighter. They had a nice stage and dance floor but it didn't get used much. Too bad, I feel sorry for the owners. Can't image how much money they lost.

We have eaten here twice now for lunch. On both occasions we have ordered an appetizer right when we have gotten our drinks and then waited 25 minutes or more and got our appetizer with our entrees. The First time I let it slide the second time I asked my answer well I put the order in right away and the server walked away, hmmm not that the restaurant was slammed we were the only patrons. The food was good though, but the timing of orders needs improvement. If I was working there I would be checking with the back of the house where my order was instead of walking around singing. Remember it's the customer food not yours.

To the other reviewer who said the décor was "just average", you must be out of your mind. The décor is amazing, highly unique with a great attention to detail. Adults and children alike can appreciate it. Unfortunately it seems like some of the food was an afterthought to the décor. First, the menu seems to be a little confused. Sushi and calamari for appetizers, with BBQ for a main course? Strange. We started with the Ahi Tuna tower which was VERY good. My chicken sandwich (Inferno I think it was called?) was really good, but the tri-tip panini was NOT good. The sandwich was very dry. It could have used some kind of sauce, and the meat itself was very dry and bland. It desperately was missing seasoning, which is strange since I think the restaurant itself sells its own rubs or seasonings. The service was only mediocre. While the server had a good attitude, when we first sat down he just dumped a pile of napkins and silverware on our table in a pile. Too lazy to set the individual settings? Not what we expect. And it's not like he was too busy, there were only 2 or 3 other tables being served while we were there. This place has a LOT of potential. I hope the owners step up their supervision and quality control of the food. While the décor is physically beautiful, a restaurant's success ultimately depends on the quality of its food, and this place still has a lot of room for improvement.

Awesome food and service was top of the line. Caught a comedy show and put it over the top. Highly recommend this establishment and its ambience. Kudos to Eddie for his hard work. It shows.

I was so excited for this place honestly. The food is always the best part of my experience. They aren'y very organized and everything I order, they either "don't have it right now" or "we're out"..... My waiters, from the several times I've been there, always seem like they don't really want to be there, they say stuff really quickly and when I ask them to repeat they look at me like I'm stupid, and they never come to check on us. I always come here thinking "what can I order" because I constantly get the vibe that they either don't want to be there or it'll be a hassle to get what I asked for. The idea is great, but I don't know about coming back anytime soon.

The food was less than desirable. My mash potatoes were cold. I ordered steak and they don't carry A1 Sauce, HUH! The atmosphere and our waiter were really nice. I just don't have to come back for the food again. I really wanted to like this place, but it's nothing special to keep me coming back.

Came on opening night; was greeted with a smiling face and seated quickly. This concept is well placed and managed to a perfection. The manager Tracey and her staff create a friendly and comfort atmosphere for there guests that is very desirable in a restaurant. We will be back.

I've been here three times in the last week, the first time being for breakfast, dinner on the same day, and breakfast this morning. My friend and I went to breakfast earlier in the week and the food was great. A lot of places I go to always over cook eggs when I order them over easy. No crunchy eggs on my plate! Devon, I believe that's how you spell her name, was extremely friendly; talking to us and making us feel very welcomed. I brought my husband in for dinner the same night and since we have a toddler who's going through "Terrible Two's" we decided to do take out. We sat at the bar waiting for our order and had a drink, talking to the bartender. Again, incredibly friendly. The staff makes you feel like they've known you for years. Today, hubby and I braved the temperament of the Terrible Two year old and ate in for breakfast. I had their spin on Eggs Benedict and it was freakin' delicious. I have read the other reviews regarding the wait time for food coming out. Yes, each time I've eaten in has been about a 20 minute wait, but in my opinion, and just my opinion, I don't think it's anything to whine about. Lord forbid we have a conversation with the person we're dining out with while waiting for our food instead of rush rush rush all the time. I will definitely be returning.

Walking in this place it looks really cool and I was excited to try it out. Unfortunately it wasn't great at all. The calamari was awful. Didn't look like calamari and it was just covered In a strong breading. Ranch wasn't good and didn't taste like ranch. Burgers were mediocre and the lettuce was old and not crisp. Place has potential just needs to make some upgrades on the food.

I enjoyed the service and the food. It was empty because it was early but I bet it can get hopping. It smelt soooo good when we walked in like smoked meat!! I'll be back

Went here for Monday Night Football. Love the decor, food and drinks. Happy hour was late so we drank for super cheap. The only draw back was they started karaoke and it was too loud to enjoy the rest of the game. Lots of parking.

Do not order the Skirt Steak Flat Bread for lunch! Its horrible! The ingredients does not go well! Very powerful citrus taste combined with the gaminess of the goat cheese is a NO NO!

Wow this place has it all! Great food, great entertainment, excellent cocktails and lots and lots of TV! The ribs are outstanding. You can host any large event there!! They are having a cool Halloween Event on Friday 10/31! How fun a costume contest!!

OMG!!! If I could give this place a half star, I would. I went for lunch and it was HORRID! The food tasted like it was cooked several days ago and was reheated. Not very well because it was lukewarm. In addition to that, I ordered chicken and it smelled rank! Of course I was scared to eat it so I didn't. Service was great, but the food is aweful. I think if they got good kitchen staff/chef it would be better. The atmosphere is adorable, just don't eat.

Just ate at Firehouse Chefs in Bellflower. The decor and atmosphere was awesome. Service was good. We were a party of 4. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was very dry. The pig might have died of old age. My wife could only eat half of her burger, it was too dense and had no flavor. My son had a burger on sourdough and said the burger lacked seasoning. My grandson had the corn dogs and they tasted like frozen corn dogs that were cooked ( 1 burned ) in old fryer grease. We all had the tater tots that the waitress said were so good. Maybe hers were cooked in clean oil because ours were greasy and tasteless. Very disappointed in the food. I really hope the place survives. The have a nice concept but their cook is going to fireball this place.

We came here for the first time on a rainy day because of a voucher that I purchased on line. There was a large group(maybe10 people) and two more tables that were occupied. The place was practically empty because once we were seated, the other party left. We waited 15 minutes before somebody came to get our order and almost 35 minutes before our food came. We were so bored that I even thought of walking out. If I didn't purchase a voucher, I would have left. The waitress apologized though and said that our food is almost done. We were disappointed when we saw the small portions. My son even jokingly said that there was so little food for such a long time to prepare. The food was just mediocre! Nothing really spectacular about it. I would not go back to this place. I would bring my appetite someplace else.

Great food and atmosphere. Towering inferno chicken sandwich was great and the jalapeños were nice and spicy. Tater tots were awesome and crispy.

Food was really good. They just opened up last Sat so the food was a little slow coming out but was worth the wait. Food was perfectly cooked and the waitress was very courteous and quick. She kept checking in on us. Definitely coming back. The Flank Steak Hash and the Chicken & Waffles were really good.

Pretty bad service today. Walked in waited for a while nobody came to take our order then walked out. I can see why the place is empty all the time. Bad service equals no customers. I'm surprised restaurants don't get that.

Horrible service... Only one server for whole restaurant waited 30 min to order and 45 min to get food. they ran out of hamburger buns on a Sunday at 1230pm. I will never eat here again and would not recommend this place to anyone. I could go on about how bad this place is but it's not worth it my time .

My husband, a retired firefighter, had eaten here and was disappointed. First, more bland than over the top delicious. Second, not 'heaping' amount of food. He wanted to try it again and so we went together one Saturday morning. We were the ONLY ones in this vast, beautiful restaurant/gorgeous bar. The server couldn't answer questions re: menue. We waited for our coffee to be refilled. The glass of milk was so close to warm, I sent it back. The pancakes I ordered were delicious. I'm not a big eater and was able to finish. The chicken fried steak breakfast was tasty but not a bite too much for my husband. We're hopeful some small changes will be made because we think there should be standing room only on the weekends and many a firefighter family biting at the bit to get in. Every time we have passed by, very close to our Sunday morning visit...close to empty.

Was a little concerned when we walked in to an almost empty place. But, I was pleasantly surprised with our experience. The food was good and the service was great. Loved the tri-tip panini and the jicama slaw. It's a really cute place too! Hope they make it I would love to go back!

We arrived just before closing yet the friendly staff welcomed us in anyways. The service was amazing, food and drinks arrived quickly and with a smile. The food was some of the best I've had in years. I had the tri-tip, it was flavorful and tender. My wife had the meatloaf and it was better than my own (that's saying a lot). My buddy had the ribs, they were great. The prices were very fair. I loved the decor of the entire building.

My family and I decided to check this place out. The service was fabulous and the atmosphere is really cool. My boys loved looking at all the firefighter decor. Food: I know the menu is a "soft" menu so I do have feedback. My sons wanted cheese pizza but were so disappointment when they saw the pizza come out. The pizza was made on pita bread and only the middle had sauce and cheese. The restaurant has flat bread pizza on the menu so as a Dietitian I suggest they use that to make the kids pizza. I ordered the "Special" which was Cilantro lime salmon; BLAND. There was absolutely NO flavor to my salmon. It was served with some cilantro sprinkled on top but NO seasoning or lime was anywhere to be found. However the panini tri tip sandwich that my father in law ordered was so delicious and so was the cabrese sandwich. Everyone also LOVED the tater tots. These were a big hit with my whole family. I am hoping the menu gets better because we would love to come back.

#fail before i even tried it.... you see, i live here in bellflower. i was actually looking forward to visiting this location, as i have done with several of the newly opened locations here on the blvd. one day, prior to the opening of this venue, i was in a rush and decided to cut thru the alley to get back to the stop light, as i drove down the alley there was a car blocking the way to get thru, some burrly guys were taking out stuff from the car into this venue, i asked if i can get thru, one of the guys, i assume a fireman, ex-fireman or whatever he was, gave me a smug look and said "just a second", i sat there patiently while these big lug's took their sweet ass time taking things out the car, instead of just pulling up and parking right, he stayed there blocking my wife and i from getting thru... i thought to myself, Wow, what a bunch of jerks i'm sure they'll be getting tons of great reviews with that attitude.... and now as i sit here and read thru their Yelp reviews, i can truly say Karma is indeed a bitch.

We went after the street fair because our son really liked the place when he went in before the opening. We got a high chair that later on we found out that those were donated to the place. Had no straps in the leg area or to buckle. Our waitress asked what we wanted and when my husband ordered a beer she said they were out of mostly everything to drink in the menu!!! She said they had corona. She took our order came back out with drinks and I asked her what the soup of the day was she didn't know off the top of her head so she went back to find out that it was "homemade chicken noodle soup"! I've had better soup than what they had. I also noticed across from us was a toddler in another highchair until later when they were leaving that they had strapped the boy with a blanket so he didn't fall through. Our son did and was stuck in between the bar. We asked for the manager and told her of her hazard with the high chair and she was apologetic. We saw other customers arrive and we are still waiting for food still after we had to talked to the manager. By this time I see a few of the girls are walking around clueless and by this time it was close to 9:30 that's when we were done waiting and decided to leave because we still had no food but guests that came after we did had food and drinks already!!! Well the waitress did notice that my husband had no more beer and did ask if she could bring him another one. That was the only thing that came out in a split second. By then I went to tell the girl we were leaving and to forget about our order she first responded with, " I was coming to see how your food is tasting"!!!! Really how could she ask that when we never had food but the cold can soup they brought out. She went to get the manager who was eating with a group of pie ole and told me she would comp the meal and she had to charge for the beer. I'm surprised she was eating while we were eating for food. DONT EAT HERE !!!!

We had a great first experience at this restaurant. It was very clean and the decor was great. The service was good, no complaints. The had a person playing live music that was very good. Food was good. We will be going back. It was not very crowded. I think the location could be better. It's in the older part of Bellflower and most of the other businesses in the area are not open in the evenings.

We visited the day after their grand opening. I really liked the décor and the ambiance was chill. They give kids a little fireman's hat, so my son loved that. There are two entrances. You can enter through the front patio or the back entrance where parking is. We entered through the back and were greeted and seated. The staff was nice and very welcoming. The menu left much to be desired. It took me, what seemed like forever, to decide on what to eat because nothing really appealed to me, but that's left to everyone's individual tastes...though mine aren't picky. The menu is limited and a bit pricey for what it was (I had a $20.00 plate of seared Ahi with vegetables). It only had about five entrees, several appetizers, several sandwiches, and salads. We started with appetizers of fried calamari. It was nothing to write about. My husband ordered the baby back ribs, which were impressive on arrival! They were also very good! His sides of sweet potato fries were also good, but not great. The mashed potatoes were nothing spectacular. They were creamy and you could taste the butter but were a bit bland. I added some salt to mine for some improvement. I had the seared ahi, which was delicious! I don't like rare so i asked for it cooked to my desired doneness. I initially ordered the chorizo apple stuffing, which I didn't get to taste because they were out of it. I then ordered something else (I don't even remember what at this time) but they were out of that too. So I ended up with jicama coleslaw and mashed potatoes. The coleslaw was good. My son had mini corn dogs that were so hot, he ended up eating some of our food. We couldn't get those things to cool off, even after opening them and cutting them into smaller pieces. They also don't have much in terms of kids drinks. They only had cranberry juice for him. Overall, they service was good, the food choices are limited and not always on hand. Overall, the food taste was good also, but I've definitely had better....on that same Bellflower strip and with less money. ($75 for 2 adults and one child who ordered corn dogs.)

The place looked great but the food was over priced. I went in thinking they where going to have great food from all the great firehouse's named after the house but know they had paper menus and stuff that made no sense. we were hoping to have biscuits and gravy but found out that they don't have it on the menu. so we got the Hawaiian french toast which were is flat as a pancake which tasted okay but we're really doughy in the middle the sausage was hard to cut through the skin of the sausage and it squirted grease all the way on to their wall I felt so bad. The eggs where good but small for the amount of money that they charge they better have something on that plate and it better be good and unfortunately I was not happy with either or I hope they change get some real Fire Station recipes in there good food food that people will like and work on your price is a little

Love this place! It's a real interesting theme for a restaurant, but it's actually really neat! I have worked in newly opened restaurants before and I know how difficult it is to get everything running smoothly but it seems like this place is coming along just fine. The service staff is always really friendly and efficient, which makes for a nice meal. The food is excellent! I always build my own turkey burger and add on a side of their famous tater tots to accompany it. I've never been disappointed! I tried one of their own brewed beers and I LOVED the red. SO delicious, one of the best reds I've ever had. Their hummus is yummy too, and the cucumbers they serve with it always taste so fresh. They have plenty of TV's and a full bar, so I'm sure this place would be a fun place to hangout and watch football. They also have live entertainment and karaoke, and who doesn't love karaoke? Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for some good comfort food!
