The food here is real good, reminds me a lot of home. Really "homey" food. The burgers are always savory and juicy and its family owned the customer service though is kind of bad. The cashiers always have a bad attitude and are pretty rude. That aside food is great!

Chili cheese fries are excellent, I also tried a Carne Asada Taco which I didn't like so much (the meat was Kinda Dry). Due to the reviews I read regarding the quality of service prior to coming I hesitated even going to the restaurant. I didn't notice any service issues at all, the staff was very friendly and took care of me as well as expected. But my order was to go and I wasn't there for too long.

Nice place... I usually come here in the weekends after a hangover...lol. Really like the chilli cheese fries with pastrami and carne asada (dui fries), I like to order and drink a beer while waiting. Also I enjoyed the steak breakfast on weekday mornings with a coffee, very relaxing atmosphere....

Get the Mediterranean salad with chicken. It's pricey, but it's divine. Yes, this is a burger place, but the salad takes the spotlight and the grilled pita bread is out of this world!

I like boulevards. Its a cool place to go to with friends. There's a catch on those $1.00 burgers. (the fries cost 2.75)! Thats assuming people order fries along with the burger. So might as well get a combo. The horchata is tasty. The cooks tend to stare a lot but eh thats just them being pervs. Its a good place! :)

The burgers were decent and that's why I gave it two stars. Place looks great but if I'm spending 10 dollars on a burger combo I want more. Portions of fries small and they charge you for everything. Refills a dollar and dressing the same. I could get this same burger taste elsewhere for half the cost and bigger serving. I guess the cost of adding bikes ad scenery is passed on to the customers.

If I could give this place no stars I would. The staff is extremely rude, the cashier is always giving me wierd looks. They charge for water, are they really that poor? The food is cheap but sometimes thr meat is undercooked. One day I was passing by there after hours and I saw the staff members in the back parking lot chatting, I caught the scent of marijuana. I don't want anyone like that serving my food. Never going there again. I even heard the workers drink alcohol in the backroom during working hours. So unprofessional

The avocado burger and DUI fries are the best!!! Well they dot have DUI fries you have to order chili cheese fries with pastrami and carne asada. This place comes a little close to the famous DUIs from Jims. Love that this is an old school type diner. Lots of things to look at and the have the oldies constantly playing.

Let see where to begin.... Last time I was there I ordered a double cheese burger combo 8.95!!! Outragous. When I got my burger it was plain no flavor whatsoever the fries where soggy I dont know how they could mess up fries! The line cooks speak no english! I just want to let you know that this burger joint has never stopped amazing me. Either be their great customer service or their amazing burgers and chili fries, they are amazing! The owners are the nicest guys who like to build connections with their customers instead of just getting cash from them. Chili cheese fries and their pork chops are awesome!!!

So I went yesterday for the first time with my friend. I ordered the western bacon burger and man was it sooo good. The onions were pretty big and the bbq sauce compliments well with the burger. the fries were pretty good and the fact that they were not greasy. I loved the atmosphere of the place it was peaceful and relaxing. the theme in the burger joint was pretty cool. I am looking forward to visit boulevard burger again and order thier chili cheese fries.

Im chillin looking around. The memorabilia is nice but whose here for that. The couches are bombastically comfortable. Im about to make her bring me my sandwich cause i domt wanna get up frpm these comfy couches. Its been bout 10 minutes my chicken sandwich with curly fries is not ready yet. Check in with u guys in a bit. Okay it was ready like in 15. Im chewin its pretty damn juicy. Thats what she said. But its infested with mayo. The chicken breast is great. The wheat bread compliments it very well. Its soft. Judging by the chicken sandwich. This place is good not great. But the employees are pricks. I asked for ketchup and they looked at me like i gad just said a yo momma joke.

I can't get enough of this place there are many restaurants near me but I am drawn here more than the others. Maybe it's the memorabilia or the awesome food but which ever of the two it is I always come back because they have the best pastrami sandwiches I have ever had and the chili fries are pretty awesome too. Definitely worth the walk

Food here is pretty damn good which is pretty surprising! Only down fall of this place is the people who work there, they are horrible! Really rude and nasty attitudes. If your dying for a burger close by go here unless your one of those people afraid of the ghetto then I wouldn't come here. Check it out the inside is pretty cool :)

To start off the burgers here are nasty -.- The combos are expensive and they are not worth the money. Another thing i dont like is that in order to use your debit card you have to order a minimum of $10 AND they charge a .99 cent fee just to use it which is pretty stupid. The restaurant is located across the street from a High School so expect high noise levels. But overall its so-so, i wouldnt recommend it.

Im torn with this place and how to review it :-/ I absolutely positively hate this place HOWEVER. .. I am obsessed with the 3 big pancake meal 5 out of 5 stars for that single dish, the pancakes are amazing!! The service is really good but I have tried the burgers and they are very blad :-( I hate the fries, how can you make bad fries at a burger joint?

I've been to this place twice. First visit had not so good customer service, but the food was acceptable. Horrible customer service on second visit. Dont know how this place stays open...I guess people love being treated like crap. I thought it was just me, but nope. Cashiers look like they hate working there...so why keep them? Obviously management doesn't care about customer service as they have a sign in front making fun of customer complaints. I thought it was a joke, but looks like they are serious.

Just came from having dinner with my friends at Boulevards and I was totally entertained by the Betty Boop table I sat at. I tried the chili cheese fries for the first time and they where awesome. But besides that, my pollo asado dinner was bland and the onion rings undercooked. I've had several of their menu items and I have to say this one isn't good. They do deserve props for their breakfast burritos because they are big and yummy.

BB is just like any other dinner that offers Mexican American food I like the fact that their menu is very flexible Si you can get anything from a salad to some chicken wings. Lots of people say that their burgers are the best, their chili cheese fries the greatest, but everybody thinks the same about their local dinners. One specific quality about this place is that their decor is pretty neat very unique at least for a place here in bell. So if you miss it don't worry just go to stars or Jim's or cosmos in south gate same thing.

Heard about this place from friends, so i came after my kids game for lunch. Its your typical diner but jazzed up with memorabilia from movies to sports all over the place. Busy place, chill atmosphere, food is great!! The patios are nice and have flat screens up high to enjoy your meals, beer (yes i said beer) and perfect seating for large groups. I had the basic cheeseburger combo but it was juiced up! The single patty looked like 3 patties on a bun. I will be back for another meal and hopefully it will be as good or better then this time.

This is an interesting burger place. It's near the busy intersection of Florence and Atlantic. They do have parking. I think the building was once a Jacks restaurant about 20 years ago. Once walking in you can't help but notice numerous amount of memorabilia and pictures around the restaurant. It's all over the place. I'm all for decorations but this place is a little over the top. It's hard to tell if they are aiming for any theme. You'll see mini statues of the blues brothers and some of Popeye and Olive Oil. You'll see pictures of Joe Dimaggio. You'll see local stuff. I feel like they went into the basement of an elder whose wife wouldn't allow him to use his stuff for their house. I ordered a club sandwich with cheese fries (grilled onions). The turnaround from ordering it and getting it was pretty standard. You really can't mess up a club. I'll still stop by this place to try other foods. If you are the kind of person that enjoys lots of random stuff this place may be for you.

Best chili cheese fries ever!!! I been to a couple burger joints trying to find the best CCF's (Chili Cheese Fries) Toms, Tams, Tommys anything in the Sg, Lynwood, bell area you name it I been there, anyways Nothing beats this place here, they are not stingy with anything whatsoever it's so Stacked with cheese and chili there's no room on the to go box. Colleague and I were on our way to Tacos El Gavilan. At the red signal on Atlantic and Florence a sudden cooked meat smell hit us through our open windows. We saw the smoke coming out of this joint's chimney and we had to check this place out. (We did go to Tacos El Gavilan the next day) In was a surprise seeing this kind of memorabilia filled restaurant in this part of town. I would have expected something like this in the Midwest. But, you know what? I guess this is what makes LA so diverse. That's why we love this city. The menu itself had a lot of things I liked. I settled on the pastrami sandwich with chili cheese fries. The portion was huge. I could finish only the fries and couple of bites of my sandwich. The sandwich was simple yet delicious. The pastrami used, melted in my mouth. If Guy Fieri from Triple D was here, he would have requested to "shut the front door" after taking a bite out of this sandwich. I will most definitely be back to check out more stuff from their menu.

I really enjoy this place but today was not the day. It was the worst customer service I have ever experience. The cashier was in a really bad mood. As I was ordering my food she seemed bothered by every request I had. This made me feel like they don't enjoy having customers. The food is great though, but I hope their customer service improves.

I was a bit skeptical because of other Yelpers reviews, but I decided to give it a try. The inside of the restaurant was impressive and interesting. If it wasn't for my food, I would have kept searching for things to oogle at. I ordered the Avocado Cheeseburger combo. It was pretty good. The burger was big and flavorful. They're thousand island sauce could use a little more flavor though. The staff was very friendly. Coming back to try they're breakfast. I had a whiff of some bacon....oh so good.

The food is great! Always grab a dollar burger with some chili cheese fries; best combination. I graduated from Bell High School, and through all my high school years this was the place to eat at! There is always usually a table to sit and dine-in, except after any Bell High School event. Concerning the staff, there is a lot of new people that aren't so friendly as the previous people used to be. They're pretty rude sometimes and don't even show any positive emotions. I guess it at starts at the managerial level because I can't really catch the manager in a good mood, but overall they aren't as bad as some people make them look. Though, the people in charge should really encourage more costumer service. I still encourage people to come eat here.

Horrible! The food was NOT good, got the taquitos plate, guacamole was lame, the rice looked and tasted like it was sitting around a while,no flavor, the beans sucked and my favorite part was the sad looking green tortilla chips they put on top that were soggy and not crunchy. Hubbs got the fried chicken dinner, salad looked like they pulled it out of one of those pre made salad bags that they forgot they had. Some of the lettuce had brown edges! The onion rings were cold! Also got 2 kids burger combos, burgers were tasteless, and plain. Again, the fries tasted like they had been sitting around a while, and we're warm, not hot, and soggy! And they weren't even salted!.... soooo disappointed, first AND LAST time I everrrr go there!.... I miss Johnnys!

Super expensive for a burger special, or so it feels like. I hate having to keep asking for more ketchup because they don't trust me with a ketchup bottle. Fine then, chain it to the table so long as its there! (Or maybe they cannot afford to have ketchup bottles out because we will use too much??? the horror) They give one cup of ketchup then all of the sudden packets. And they always seem to have napkins from other restaurants... I'm guessing they can't afford to buy their own. Stingy people we have there. Just go to Stars! The spicy chicken sandwich is decent. Chili cheese fries are good when you don't get bad pieces of meat. I had breakfast here one time. My pancakes were cold, as was my toast. I asked for butter for my toast and they gave me hard as rock butter I just could not spread because my toast didnt melt it and they didnt have knives!! I used to go to this place when it was Johnnys. Oh how I miss it. Such a comfortable feel to that place. I like how they have the same old sepia colored pictures up that we're from Johnnys . Boulevards looks nice but it's not worth it. If you have money, try for yourself.

This place is really good. I keep going because it is very close to my house and the food is great. The only bad thing about this place is the workers, the manager or the main guy is very rude and disrespectful. The cooks stare makes me uncomfortable. But the so called manager never fails to disappoint with his remarks, he can care less if you go back. And if you go during the night and they are almost closing they turn off the TVs and he tells you to get up and leave, he can't even wait for you to finish your meal. So the food is great but the customer service is horrible.

The manager or the main guy that wears the same white shirt in the cashier is rode, very bad customer service. I had a problem where the patty from the hamburger was missing like if someone took a piece off from it. The quantity of fries they give the customers is small. Once I told the manager about the lack of cheese of my chili cheese fries and he replied by saying that's all we had and then seconds later he rolled his eyes and put cheese on it. VERY DISSAPOINTED !

This place is not all that. You want to get a good meal and watch tv? Chill here for a bit. They got a variety of great food. HOWEVER, the service there is terrible. Particularly, there is this one guy who is a total douche. You can tell he hates his life and tries to give everyone a hard time. You ask for a specific drink, and this fool will twist and turn it into something you've never had before. This guy should be fired. Another thing is that it gets crazy packed after a high school game at Bell HS or ELC. Don't go here from 3:00-7:30 on a school day if you are starving or simply hate waiting.

I'm not the one to write bad reviews on places unless they really suck. I'll share my experience here I saw they had a 99¢ special for a burger and went to check them out. I stood in line for 10 min. It was crowded that day. As I approach the register I didn't receive a welcome or anything for that matter.. how rude after all I am a customer and making your business thrive. I went ahead ordered a burger special for $5 (before taxes) not bad. I got a decent plate for the price a 1/4 burger and fries and a drink that only has ONE refill after that you have to pay for another drink. I wanted thousand island well they charged me 64¢ ? Wow really?! I paid meanwhile I sat down and tried to swallow the fact I had to pay for this small thousand island dressing a customer came up and asked for a refill. The manager told him he had to pay again the customer told him he had to get something to drink to take his medication the mangertold him "That's all you get" and the customer told him "Are you kidding me?" And the manger in a disgusting loud voice told him "Fuck off cheap skate!!" I picked up my plate I couldn't believe what I heard got a box and left the place. How can someone be so god damn rude to their customers well I'm never going back again.

They have the best Chili Cheese Fries EVER!!! The fires are always crispy and well seasoned and the chili tastes great with a nice spicy kick to it but not too spicy. They put a lot of cheese which for me is a plus! My girlfriend and I always go here for the Chili Cheese Fries. We always share a large order of them which is 5 bucks plus tax and we rarely finish them. It is a very big portion. We havent tried the burgers because we always say we are but we always just decide to order the Chili Cheese Fries lol. You have to try them!!

Really good burger joint, it's better than a Tam's, Tom's, Chris's, Boys', etc,. But not better than a red robin or the habit. It's a fast food burger place, has a cool vibe inside because it has a bunch of garage sale crap and street signs hanging all on the wall, I like the fact that the tables aren't full of graffiti even though it's by a high school. BUT, I seriously wish they would but ketchup bottles on every table!! That would make this place completely awesome. As of now they give you a little cup of ketchup and I had to keep getting up and asking for more ketchup cups because my family and I like ketchup on our fries. Nt only was it annoying but it's also wasteful. PLEASE put ketchup bottles on the tables!

It was nearly time for my lunch break and I was craving a burger. I did some looking around on the internet for a place nearby and I found Boulevard Burgers. It is a fairly new place. There weren't a whole lot of reviews of the place, but the ones that I found were fairly positive, so I decided to give them a try. I visited their website, gave their menu a browse, gave them a call, and when I arrived 10 minutes later, my order was ready. I ordered the hamburger special with cheese, which went for under $6 and comes with a burger, fries, and a fountain drink. The burger tasted great, the fries were nicely seasoned and delicious, and I found myself really enjoying the food. I got my fill. They gave me a generous portion of French fries and the burger was sizeable. I will be going there again. An extra perk is the environment and the juke box. This is a themed restaurant with plenty to look at on the walls and counters. There are lots of knick knacks and memorabilia displayed throughout. It's kind of fun to sit in the place and browse around. You may want to give this place a try.

I went to this restaurant but mostly for meetings for my club. Sometimes I would order a hamburger with fries and a drink. Sometimes the hamburgers taste a bit cold but I would suggest they cook it full. Also when ordering food with a debit card or credit card they charge you a min of $0.50. The bottom line is that the chili fries are good and the large ones are good to share with friends and family especially for my members of the club. I would suggest to bring cash to this restaurant and save half dollar from debit orders.

Pros: They offer yellow peppers, and their burgers have Thousand Island dressing. It also looks very nice, plus they have a 99 cent (1/4 pound burger). Their chili cheese fries and curly chili cheese fries are good (pretty greasy :)). Cons: The close proximity to Bell High School makes it extremely busy in the afternoon. The burger overall isn't that great, but it is great if you are hungry. Also this place is a bit pricey. They charge a 99 cent fee to use your credit/debit card.

I REALLY wanted to give this place 5 stars bc their chilli cheese fries alone deserve it, buuutttt 1)their restrooms are very .. ummm .. lets say UNPLEASANT n as a parent, restaurant restrooms play a big role in my overall experience -minus 1star for dirty restrooms. 2) NO KETCHUP on the tables at a burger joint, REALLY???? getting up to ask for ketchup n other condiments was VERY annoying -minus 1 star for that as well. Other than the restroom n ketchup issues, the place is nice and food is tasty.

Burgers & fries are really good but the jalapeño poppers sucked.... The cheese wasn't even melted but overall pretty good. Oh and BTW it's pretty ghetto there so make your order to go.

Okay I am partial to this place because I was a regular to old johnnies. But this place takes it to another level. There is more memorabilia on the wall and nostalgic nic nacs that you forget this is not the Hard Rock Cafe. YES here in little Bell "we gotsa our own food place". Now for the food my dish is the bacon avacodo chicken salad..oh my goodness...flat screens everywhere make the meal that much enjoyable....A pleasant staff all around....I can take my family of 6 and fill them all up for about $30.00

Best local burger spot for me.. I even think its better than Star Burger. My favorite from this place would have to be the SPICY CHICKEN SANDWICH ON WHEAT BUN.. WOWSERS!.. I'm a picky eater especially when it comes to chicken sandwich, this place bring a good taste that has me ordering this everytime i come here!

I love this place so much. When working in that area I can enjoy my soccer games and the good food that they serve. It's amazing how with 5 bucks I can have a good lunch. I highly recommend this restaurant

Do Not Come Here Please! Do yourself a favor The fries are disgusting The burger meat is always really dry, sure they have 1$ burgers but they taste like news paper! I use to come here often until they changed management then it went down the sink!

I love going here, especially after a party. I can't really say much about the food since the only thing I order is the chilli fries (delicious) but the atmosphere in the busy hours of the day is very fun and warm. The decor is very random, but I like that. Staff is also very friendly and talkative.

The memorabilia is nice. But I don't go somewhere to eat for the memorabilia alone. I had a chicken taco. HORRIBLE. The meat was full of fat, the tortilla was extremely dry. I know you shouldn't necessarily go to a burger joint for a taco, but nonetheless, all food should be up to par. Plus, $10 minimum to use your debit card and $.99 fee anyway. Never going back again.

This burger joint is visually very busy. Lots to look at on the walls on the tables... hanging from the ceiling! A lot of different types of memorabilia from music to sports inspired. Ordered the hamburger special. Food was okay. They were not accepting debit or credit cards at the time..THANK GOD I had cash on me. Maybe a repeat customer, haven't made up my mind yet.

Dollar burgers are huge and delicious but 5 burgers for 5.45 and large fries for 2.99 :, (. Friendly prompt service, good tasting inexpensive burgers.

I've been here quite a good amount of times and I must admit that I really enjoy this place! Boulevard's has a ton of great options and the menu varies from sandwiches to burgers to dinner plates and burritos and so much more! I love their crispy chicken sandwich combo and I absolutely LOVE their hot wings special!! 12 plump and juicy wings, a great portion of delicious fries & a drink all for just 8 bucks!! You simply can't beat that! It's amazing! I definitely recommend it (: great vibes, great food and overall great spot!
