My favorite place for dim sum!

PARKING: Plenty of parking space. WAIT TIME: None SERVICE: Decent. Food: Meh. Pretty average nothing special about this place. The "menus" they give you don't have all the items and unless you have someone who speaks the language there is no way for you to get those things that aren't on their menu. Would probably only come back because the yare open way before other dim sum places....but that's about their only up side.

Right when I was seated with my co-workers I was already upset. They seated us at a table with 4 chairs that is meant to be for 2 people. The table was in the corner of a little room, which made it extremely inconvenient to be comfortable. The food that we got was really good, but it was a lot of the same carts that circled around, especially since we were in the corner of the room there were not that many dim sum options to pick from. I am not sure if I would come back again, because upon leaving I took a quick peek at the rest of the restaurant and it's pretty cramped. If you do not mind being really close to the next table, try this place out. The food is good, and just make sure you aim for a table in the middle of a room or something! ENJOY!

Came in today, Saturday, 30 minutes past their opening hour and strange to see there were only a handful of diners... maybe due to the overnight heavy rains. We thought we would at last get a decent service (for once) but heck, even this early the servers were nowhere in sight! NEVER again to come back to this place!!! There are other better dim sum resto nearby.

Pretty decent dim sum, but the selection from the carts is rather small. Their Pork Dumplings (Shiu Mai) had great flavor and didn't need the addition of any soy sauce. I also enjoyed the Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf and BBQ Pork Buns. The Salt & Pepper Squid (ordered off the lunch menu) had great seasoning, but the batter was soggy and the dish came out cold. And of course we had to try their Egg Tarts! They were just okay though. The filling was moist, creamy and very good, but the outside crust was too dry. Full House isn't a terrible choice for dim sum, but there are probably options in the area.

I feel bad for all my chinese friends that I drag out to eat dim sum with me... XD So this place is the typical dim sum place with the shrimp balls, fried rice, fried noodles, blood cakes, chicken feet. There was nothing that really stood out here. My favorite dim sum place is still seafood harbor even though it's a little bit more pricey. This place is also usually packed on the weekends. Overall, we ordered 15 dishes for about $45... which is really cheap. Overall, very low cost dim sum, however, you pay for you get. Average dim sum in my opinion.

My favorite dim sum spot. Just be sure to go hungry, it is hard to resist over ordering when so many tasty treats go by your table. Don't forget the veggies, my favorite is the bean or pea tips (don-meo is how I remember the rough pronunciation). Home of my favorite dessert, the lotus balls. The Peking style pork is great. Only visited for lunch but is was a great experience.

3.5 stars to be exact, based on a 3-star and a 4-star experience so far. The first time, I thought the dim sum was average - my friends had talked it up so much that I didn't understand why this was one of the more popular places, other than maybe for cost, which is cheap. On my second visit, I was much happier with the quality and selection of dim sum, including a couple dessert pastries that were very tasty (the buttery-flaky pastry with warm red bean, yum!), but the dim sum logistics were strained. There were only 6 carts rolling around the packed restaurant - three savories, dessert, porridge, and broccoli - and the savories change slightly with each turnover, so you're looking at least 20-25 minutes between repeats, and maybe double that time until you see a specific dish, which made it really hard to secure the staple foods that always go fastest (siu mai, har gow, etc.). I like it much more when there are so many carts that when they see a new table, they inundate you with choices and load your table with plates pretty fast, making the subsequent hounding all the more delightful as you struggle to stop ordering beyond your belt's last hole, and then you're like, screw the belt, I want a sesame ball. The dance went the other way for us, lots of waiting, and because of our corner table, harder to get the staff's attention. We ordered some of the items we couldn't find, but they forgot about others. I speculate that they've increased table capacity to respond to demand without having the requisite kitchen size to meet that demand; or maybe they're slow, or maybe quality takes time. What we had was solid and fresh, four stars/above average, but they would do much better with more carts and food moving around - tables would turn over faster, so there'd be less of the crazy wait outside, only 20 minutes for us early birds arriving at 10:20, but a lot worse when we left. I will continue to go when asked or if in the area for the quality, but I'm rounding to three stars until I walk out a little happier.

Did not know what to eat and was searching around for seafood places. Looked on yelp and found this seafood restaurant. Have never been here before so decided to give it a try. The food was absolutely amazing and cooked to perfection. Not only that but the service was great. Definately recommend this to everyone and would for sure come back for more

Ordered lobster togo since I was craving some lobster with ginger garlic sauce. Not going here again either. The hostess in the front told me they only have 5 lbs left so since I made my way out already I ended up ordering it and hai nam chicken togo. She never showed me the lobster and only wanted to collect my money first. I told her that I'm here so I will pay it when I get my order. Anyways, when I received my order it didn't weight like a 5lb lobster so I asked her are you sure it's 5 lbs & she said yes. I came home and guess what this was not a 5 lb lobster dish. It was missing some parts. I think either the cook took some parts for themselves. On top of that they left out the sauces for my whole chicken that I ordered. I felt cheated out of my order & will not come back here anymore.

this review is for dinner... Easter Sunday Dinner was not very good. $90 for dinner for 3.5people. We have lots of leftovers. The prices were above average cost. If the quality lives up to the price, I'd be more than happy to pay it. Unfortunately, it did not. Not even close. The restaurant was about semi full for Easter Sunday. The hostess wanted to place us near the door. I said we want to sit deeper into the restaurant cuz it's cold. She seemed cranky. Whatever. You ain't cooking our food. I can afford to piss you off. We had BBQ pork plate, BBQ duck, Scallop stirfry, Tofu Fishball Spinach Soup, Lamb Claypot, and Garlic Big Pea Sprout. We'll go from bad to good. Scallop stirfry - AVOID ALL SCALLOP DISHES FROM THIS RESTAURANT. The collection of scallops for our dish had different colors. We mentioned that the transparent ones looks undercooked. The waiter and food server proceeded to tell us that's cuz they're super fresh. NOT!!! Obviously from frozen. The color ranged from the normal white to gray-ish to orange to yellow colors. This is a crap dish that cost about $15? #^$#^$ Lamb Claypot was another $12 down the drain. The lamb was so tough that when I tried to break off a piece with my teeth, the rubbery skin springs back and sprayed sauce all over my eyes and face. Yes, the lamb fought back. The sauce was bland and color was non-appetizing. Another dish FAIL. BBQ Roast Duck - My mom and I LOVE roast duck. Maybe the restaurant is trying to push customers to get their $25 Peking Duck. Our roast duck was submerged in sauce making the skin no longer crispy. The texture and taste resembled more like soy sauce chicken than roast duck. Garlic Big Pea Sprout - Had we not gone to another much cheaper establishment the night before. this plate might be considered a passing grade. The other place 's were much softer and crispier. These were like the branches in comparions. BBQ Pork - Up to par. They used pork with decent amount of lean vs fat. The meat was still not tender but the dish was enjoyable. Tofu Fishball Spinach Soup was their only saving grace of the night. The fishballs were super tender. It almost taste like they put tofu into the mixture. The soup lacked depth usually for spinach soup, but it was good enough for me. I had 2+ bowls. So for the people who love dim sum here. Stick to the dim sum cuz dinner is crap that will cost you a small fortune. Not coming back.

Old standby for dim sum in Arcadia. It's OK, has all the standard items. Dinner gets expensive and is consistent very empty.

Decent dim sum, plenty of parking. We got there before noon on a weekday and had our share of tables to choose from. We were in and out in a reasonable time at a good price.

I happened to have dinner last night at fullhouse, we tried the specialty menu that has a bunch of dishes for $8.99 only! We have 6 people but the bill is only around 100.

Can you say Dim Sum!!! If you're a fan of this chinese delicacy like I am, you're going to love this place. I've been here 3 times and have left very full and happy each time. There's way too many choices to list as far as dim sum is concerned so I recommend you bring someone who know something about dim sum or just be adventurous and point to whatever seems good. This place is very popular so be careful about visiting too close to lunch time.

My sister took me here once for dim sum and OMG!!!!! She said it's cheap and obviously haha the porridge was hella cold and there's no taste to it. All the other dim sum was like $1.00 for 5 Shau Mai and $1.00 for Har Gaw and $1.00 for most of everything else but it's not worth it!!! Trust me. I'd rather pay more but the foods worth it than this place :(

Their lobster noodle and shrimps were great! If you ever come by make sure to try the bbq pork and peking duck too, those were very good! Not a big fan of the whole steamed fish but thats just me, very authentic chinese food.

My most recent dim sum experience reminds me why we stopped coming here and started going to Hop Li. Full House's food is really inconsistent. This isn't the first time where we decided to stop coming and then started coming back to really wonderful food. Seriously, their buns tasted at least a day old. And their other stuff (lo bo gao, dumplings, etc) didn't taste right - really bland and not tasty at all. Even drowning it in hot sauce and mustard didn't work! What saved my meal was their XLB. Finally something FRESH tasting. I would say their vegetables were good but seriously at $6.25 a plate? And they have meats but for $8 something a plate as well. Hop Li has a fixed price of $2.08. Albeit smaller portions, but at least it tastes good! Their lobster noodles are alright. Like their dim sum experience, hit or miss. Craving some char siu or duck? Go to the to-go window in the food court next door!

I've probably been here 15 times for dim sum now, so I've gotten to know the dishes and servers. One of them even recognizes me, since I've gone so many times. Most of the dishes are a hit-or-miss. Service is typical for an average Chinese place. Non-Chinese beware, a lot of the servers speak broken English. If you have a Chinese friend, get them to take you. Pretty good: -Siu mai (pork dumpling thing)-- big, with shrimp -Chicken feet -Pork blood and tripe bowl -Tofu-fa (sweet tofu dessert) -the dish of vegetables that come from the special vegetable cart, for ~$6. pretty good with oyster sauce -BBQ pork -fried sticky rice -ham siu gok, or the fried pork puff thing. big and good when fresh from the kitchen -spareribs. exactly what i expect -bean curd wrap roll-- these look funky, but they're surprisingly tasty Not so good: -Cheung fun (the rice noodle wrap roll). With the bbq pork it's pretty tasty, but it's the noodle wrap itself that's lacking texture and chewiness -most of their desserts -egg tarts just do not meet the bar -durian turnovers definitely not worth it, i've had better ones practically everywhere else i've tried them Overall, good place because it's cheap and pretty good most of the time if you know which dishes to get. Go super early or late to miss the rush.

Most upscale asian city has no dim sum place, which is strange, this is like the only dim sum i know that located in upscale asian community. The price suprise cheap, small to large order is all same price. Typical dim sum from cart. Food is good, depend what dish, some hit and some miss. it does get crowded like most dim sum place at lunch time. They had lack of chair and is bit too small for been a dim sum restaurant. selection of food is slight less than most dim sum place. Go there if you live nearby, there's better option out there. AMEX is not accept, customer service is poor. no one bother to replace my dish, i would rather paid slight more for better service king hua and sea harbor both are the best dim sum place in the SGV. Both offer order and make dim sum, much better service and slight less crowded. and much better quality food, they can be bargain if you know what you order. the biggest difference of dim sum dish is the congee soup, it just no comparison.

I've been a frequent visitor of the China Town location for as many years as I can remember, and never knew of this spot until my Mom brought it to my attention. Being that Full House is one of my favorite spots for Chinese in these parts of the World I was a little disappointed in this location. Today I went for dim sum , seeing that China Town doesnt have it available, I was hoping for some top quality stuff, but much to my dismay, even though I showed up right at 12, most of my dim sum was luke warm at best. I like my food either hot or cold, lukewarm just doesn't do it for me....anyway after ordering 4 dishes off of the dim sum menu and feeling let down by all of them I decided to order off of the regular menu...I ordered house special Szechuan prawns and the deep fried squid with spicy salt....a few minutes later I had a steaming dish in front of me, on the downside it wasnt what I ordered, so after a little backwards and forwards with them, they took the dish, I apoligized ( not sure why? ) and waited on my original order... Verdict is.... Prawns - excellant flavor, too bad they ended up lukewarm Squid- like tasteless rubber, again lukewarm, I've had this dish at Chinatown location but always been happy with it there... I would give them less than 3 stars, however I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt because they were extremely busy, so I'm willing to give them another chance, and also once again, I love there Chinatown spot on Hill... For Dim Sum however, I'd rather go to Capitol Seafood on Atlantic, just saying

Went here today for lunch. Decided to try this Dim Sum place since the last time I went was over 3 years ago. When we got there there was a long line but luckily for us getting seated for 2 people only took 15 mins. Right when we got seated we got our tea and also the cart with porridge went by. Got one of those immediately. I have to say, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. We also got the tsa sao bao and also the egg bun thing with the yolk. The only thing I don't like about their bao is that the bottom is wet and it leaves this flaky mess on your fingers. I didn't like that at all. The food from the cart wasn't as hot as I would have liked since usually at dim sum places they are really hot. We also got those white strip with the shrimps inside (forgot what they are called). We got two of them at different times, and the first time they had big shrimps and second they had small salad shrimps. We asked for ha gow and siu mai but never got that. I was a bit amazed that they didn't have that cart going around at all times. Overall it was alright, not too memorable and I would only go back if I didn't want to drive to 888 or Ocean.

This would normally get a 3 star but the tip is to eat there. I went there before 10:00 am so I had to do take out in the restaurant. It took 30 minutes and then I had to ask where our order was. The girl tells me that they had to pick it. Then she checks and tells me they don't have the egg custard or baked BBQ pork. They substituted it with something else and then we left. The worst part is that we went there to get food to take our friends house at 10:00it is 1o:56 needless to say we are way late. Do not take out!

Just don't do it. I ate here this morning with my parents and my boyfriend - I'm still feeling sick. All four of us got stomach aches and my dad and I both threw up. It was our first meal of the day so it was obvious that this was the cause. We ordered a variety of dim sum but I mainly ate shrimp shu mai, shrimp tsang fun, and the egg tarts. I admit, the food was delicious but it wasn't worth what I experienced shortly after eating it. Maybe it was just our batch that went bad but nevertheless, I wouldn't take the risk!

  • Silena T.

The seating area was small but the place was packed. Perhaps it is because of the size that there were fewer options than other dim sum places. Still, the food was wonderful and the servers were excellent :P

This place is good; food, service, location, price and chinese culture. As a Korean Arcadian, i have a privilege to enjoy the Chinese food because Arcadia has so many different kinds of decent Chinese food restaurants. I love dim sums in particular for lunch. As my friend and i arrived at 1pm, there were so many seats in there. promptly seated. My friend said that it was her first visit. Living the main land of China for 5 years, she has more knowledge of a Chinese food than me. That is why i have so much confidence to choose delicious food with her help. Even though there were varieties of dim sum, we chose six kinds of dim sum from vendor carts: 2 shrimp dumpling, shrimp ball, shrimp shmai, bone-in pork, shrimp wrapped by rice noodle, Mostly the vendor carts were carried by women. They couldnt speak English but their attitudes were very nice and attentive. Every dim sum was very delicious and warm. They served tea in the tea pot, the tea has a rich aroma and i hoped that this tea doesnt disappear from Chinese culture and restaurant. We enjoyed the dim sum and tea very much. The price was way more inexpensive that we paid under $20 with tip including six dim sums, hot tea, clean table clothes, nice service. and a huge parking lot. even though this place is not a quite quiet place, i enjoyed the Chinese culture, too.

I'm from Norcal and this is the only dim sum place my friends take me that hits the spot. It's a typical dim sum place. Packed parking lot, restaurant gets crowded on weekends. Usually when I go with my friend, the host knows his family so we get seated right away. Either way, waiting for dim sum isnt much a big deal. It's worth it! I enjoy the dim sum here! Crowded loud restaurant does not stop me from eating dim sum! Dim sum usually ends at 3 i think. If you come late and don't see much on the carts, just order it! Know your dim sum at least so you can just order what you want instead of waiting for the cart! I learn the hard way. Service is good here for a very busy restaurant.

Small restaurant with cart style dim sum in the 99 Ranch Market plaza. Food here is not bad. The main draw is that all of their dim sum is a little over $2 each. They even have boba (but the boba is hard) and were pushing around a cart of moon cakes before the Autumn Festival. It can be a little difficult if you don't know any Chinese.

    (3)
  • Mel C.

I always come here for dim sum, and everything I've ever gotten has been really tasty! It's pretty authentic here, and they have all the regular dim sum dishes, like chicken feet, shu mai, turnip pancakes, cha sew bao, etc. The prices are very reasonable too (less than $2 for each small order). The only thing is that there can be a long wait on the weekends (as with all dim sum places), and because there are so many people eating dim sum, it can take awhile for the right dishes to come to you. When that happens just ask a waiter for the dish you want! They'll usually go in search of it for you.

Great spicy salt fried tofu. Fluffy, airy. House special noodles and pea shoots delicious. Peking Duck was good, but seemed skimpy on the portion size. Service is hit and miss. We often needed more silverware, more water, more bowls. The spare ribs were tough and chewy, no one could eat them at our table.

Taste.... Capital Seafood is a little better Price...... This is less expensive I would probably pick here over Capital Seafood, since the taste of their food doesn't WOw me and they charge more.

Lobster yee mein for $12.99! Even Sam Woo charges $16.99! This place is cheap and has a great location. I bought TenRen next door and had to walk in when I saw their neighbor's lobster deal advertised on their storefront!

Yummy dim sum. It baffles me how every dim sum place has a slight difference in items they serve. This place usually has the most fried goodness out of all the dim sum places I've been. Also, it has really good prices. Plus since I made it all the way to Arcadia for dim sum, that usually means half and half is for dessert.

  • Eugene N.

While the food is just OK, you'll get the same dim sum anywhere that's not horrible. The dim sum cart ladies all try to upsell you, practically putting the dishes on your table and telling you it's good... I don't really like that. If I want it, I'll order it from the cart, I don't need someone to place the food on my table to try to seduce me in ordering the dish. The waiter service wasn't that good either. I mean they get us what we want but they don't come by to fill our water cups when empty. They also don't check on our tea, only come to fill it up when we ask for it. Initially when we asked for water, there was no sincerity in getting it. I would say the customer service is definitely sub-par. This restaurant brought up the subject of tipping. While the service was not good to begin with I didn't feel like they deserved an adequate tip. Our bill was about $38 which means 15% of it would be a little over $5. We gave them $40 and I gave them another $5 and told them to break it for me. They never brought back our change nor broke my $5! I asked them where our change was and they said they thought it was tip because our bill was $38 (meaning they believe it SHOULD be the $6 we gave them!) Why would I tip them more than 15% for bad service? Why do they assume that it's a percentage. I usually never tip by percentage. If I get good service, I give them more (if we're counting, it would be about 20-30%) and bad service I would tip less, in this case I was definitely NOT going to give them anything over $5. They just assumed that their service was that good that they deserved it? Horrible. I can get the same tasting dim sum anywhere. While not knocking on the taste of the food because it is OK, but the service is not good at all, even though they think it is. NOT recommended.

My first dim sum experience! Which also means I have absolutely nothing for comparison and may be a bit biased. I wanted to try Sea Harbor since Abby A loved it, but my dim sum-experienced friend says she doesn't like places w/o the carts and her supervisor who is Chinese took her here and likes this place. Okay. Fine with me. She created a dim sum addict. At first the noise scared me. it's LOUD in here. But now I must say I am glad I experienced the carts. Ooooh, wonder what will be on THIS cart? Wait, whats on THAT cart? porks blood? In cubes? ew. Next. Sticky rice with Chicken? dim sum me! NOW! It's said that the Chinese restaurants have rude wait staff. Frankly, they were all pretty patient with us asking what the heck everything is and when they didn't speak any English, asking them to open every steamer so we can peek inside. Once she had to ask the another cart lady who spoke English to tell us what something was. It was like going dim sum spelunking. I was so sorry my stomach was unable to expand any further, cuz new and different things were coming by. damn. I think the turnip cake and sticky rice with chicken were my favorites. We also had shrimp har gow, baked pork buns, chinese broccoli, Fried shrimp dumpling, fried sesame balls, Stuffed green bell pepper, fried stuffed bean curd, chang fun? the flat noodles that are rolled up? It was filled with what I thought was fried tofu skin, and the egg & pork porridge. My was that porridge good! I saw stuffed eggplant on the take out menu, but I was dissapointed it never came around. But the stuffed green bell pepper was good instead. After we were beyond stuffed, we saw a big sticky rice thing that looked just like Zong. This was big and filled with egg, vegetables and meats according to the cart lady. I grabbed one to go. All this and our bill was $30. For 15 bucks each, leaving stuffed, and having a huge amount left over and packed up for our lunch tomorrow is good. Dim sum ends at a 3:00pm. Weekdays $1.80 each, weekends and holidays $2.00 each. There are a few dishes that are more like the Chinese broccoli, jelly fish, and chicken feet. The take out list has 68 items on it, so it appears they have a pretty good variety.

Full House Seafood Restaurant is the most traditional dim sum restaurant in this area. The Shrimp Har Gow and Pork Shiu Mai is not the high ended Chinese food. It doesn't have much decoration and all that, but it has the traditional taste that I will never forget. no wonder lots of family chose this location on weekend. If someone who like to take parents or even grand parents out for dim sum, I will strongly recommend Full House!!!! There are lots of people during weekends, its better arrive early and get in line. Full House ROCK!!!!!! I am invited to a wedding party next month at full house, i cant wait to try their night dishes.

Compared to other dim sum places, this place is pretty good. It's a but smaller than other seafood restaurants so there will be a bit of a wait during busy hours. But the place is clean and service is good so it's worth the wait. My favorite is the shiu mai and the chicken feet. I get it every time i'm here.

I just want to give them 5 stars because it was $14 for two of us for dim sum, and we had leftovers! haha. I haven't eaten regular food here, but the dim sum is pretty solid imo.

Came here to Arcadia with a bunch of friends, decided to stop by Full House Dim Sum lunch. Lets say that full house gave me a full stomach! bazingg What we got: Cheong Fun - got 2 shrimps and 1 beef. I love this and thought it was very good and nicely made. Fried Tofu: OH MAN, this was absolutely crispy and perfect amount of saltiness. Makes for a very good dimsum when dipped in the siriacha sauce. Tripe: Friend ordered this, being Chinese I've actually never had this before -- I envisioned it to be some bland, hard to chew tripe like they give you in Pho, but surprising it was very good. Egg Tart (dan ta) -- Good, could have crisper crusts tho. Chicken Feet (Fong Jua): I love all chicken feet and this was no different. Some other dishes we got were shu mai, the vegetable with hoisin sauce (no idea what its called... sorry), salty fried dumplings various meats, etc. There were a total of 8 people at our table, we all ate till we were full. I am giving this 4 stars because based on my fullness factor, I was expecting to pay around ~13.... but bill came out to be 8 BUCKS including tax and tip. Very pleasant surprise, very cheap place. I will come here again if I am ever in Arcadia to eat.

I came here for dim sum with my family. We got a table after 15 minutes of waiting. The place feel cramp like they try to squeeze in as many tables as they can into the restaurant. We sat at the back corner of the restaurant where traffic is heavy going in and out of the kitchen with carts full of dirty dishes. The moment we sat down all near by carts came to greet us. We got a bunch of dishes. We asked for ice water. It never came. My dad asked a different waiter, who seem to hate his job, for water. The waiter just stared at my dad if he's speaking alien. Then he nod his head. It never came. So we saw a guy who was hauling dirty dishes to the back for water. He gave a near by waiter the "can I give them water" look. That waiter gave him permission to do so. He went and came back with water. YAY! He continued hauling his dirty dish down the hall to the kitchen. When he got to the kitchen door, he was loudly coughing up mucus. I was very afraid he might spit the mucus into the dirty dishes. I'm not sure what he did as the door closed behind him. I do not want to know what he did. I will not be going back.

My boys run on dumpling power, so this is a regular stop for lunch before a day of soccer/baseball/basketball games. Many of the servers know us because our boys are allergic to peanuts, and we frequently ask them to remove the bed of peanuts from under the bbq pork dish. The food itself is a 3-star, but they have all the basics and while the food is not transcendent, it is good. Crowds are commonplace on weekend dim sum service, but the numbers are called out fairly quickly. I happened to be in the restaurant at the same time Jeremy Lin and the NY Knicks were playing on TV. It sounded like a sports bar in there (complete with shouting after every Lin basket). I thoroughly prefer Full House to Hop Li (up the street on Baldwin). Did I mention the prices were cheap cheap cheap?

went here for my mom's and grandma's birthday yesterday. The service was good, the food tasted like they didn't use to much msg and of higher quality. Though it's a little pricey it's worth the money. The only con would be the noice is a little loud.

Tell me what you want and I'll give you what you need. The flirtatious culinary message that Full House Seafood seems to send my way. Be it dim sum for brunch or a seafood and duck for dinner, FHS gives it to me good~~! BACKGROUND: This place is 2/3 mile from my house, so it's obviously the go-to for some good ole' dim sum. But dang, get here early, or else all the Chinese grandmas will boot you out of line. It's as if 10AM is the clapper. 9:59AM, not crowded. 10:00AM *clap* *clap* Two Chinese villages bum-rush the restaurant! Dinner has never been not crowded, so.. good luck with that one. HITLIST (dim sum): Siu-Mai: perfect bite-sized bombs of flavor, texture, and juicy goodness. The pork and shrimp are a perfect marriage within the wrapping. Soooo good. (9/10) Tsa Siu Bao: kind of doughy, cute and 3-bites' size. The flavor in the tsa siu ain't bad, but not spectacular. Usually served steamy hot. (6.75/10) Dun Tah: LOVE IT! Nice and flakey crust with pleasantly sweet, but not too sweet custard. DELICIOUS!!! (8.75/10) Tsa Siu Chorng: The noodley blankety stuff splashed with the soy sauce concoction they make. You can order it with shrimp, tsa siu, fish, beef, scallop, just about anything edible. The noodley part is very bland, but the sauce and the protein of choice picks up where it lacks. (7/10) Too many other items to list, but to summarize, all other dim sum dishes get an overall 8/10. HITLIST (dinner): Clams in Black Bean Sauce: A good amount of clams cooked very well in a pleasant sauce. Black beans give an added kick in flavor. (7/10) Seafood and Tofu Clay Pot: A wonderful assortment of fish, scallop, shrimp, mushrooms, tofu, tofu ,tofu, vermicelli, tofu, and napa cabbage. Very light, but very flavorful - is a great main dish or complementary element. Quite possibly the best buy on the menu. (9.5/10) VERDICT: Love it! Very good food, although I would never go unless someone was treat :P If you want good dim sum, this place is worth a shot. The dinner setting can seem like a circus with it's loud and crazy setting and things flying all across the restaurant. But alas, you come here for the food, not the ambiance.

Had to go here for a Chinese Family dinner with my Fiancés Chinese family earlier this week. We have been to dozens of restaurants like this one but usually the food is better. This place was ok but there are a lot of other better places.

We were super excited when we first walked into this place because it looked pretty legit and its in ARCADIA, and there seemed to be all the staples of a yummy dim sum place! Egg custard tarts, porridge, pork buns, turnip cakes, taro buns, chicken feet, etc etc... Also, Waiters were walking around with various dishes as well, so the service is a lot faster because you don't have to sit there and wait for your preferred tray to come around, like you do at most dim sum restaurants! HOWEVER, we did miss out on a single cart that we were all waiting for, and it strolled by at the END of our meal after we had stuffed ourselves on everything else, paid our bill, packaged our leftovers, and was about to leave. We were like... whattttt?!?!? They have duck, chicken, jelly fish, and red bean custard?!?!?!?! Why didn't that cart come over here till now!!!!?? It was the ONLY cart that didnt make its way over here until the end of our meal. Anyway, we were frustrated but made our peace, but about 10 minutes later upon walking out of the restaurant, all of our tummies felt kind of funny. I think it was due to the fact that everything offered was super oily and badly made. Their tamales were 85% rice. Their turnip cakes were thicky and gooey and starchy. Everything was rice-y, thick, and starchy, and we basically ate filler food full of rice and oil. Also, their xiao long baos have previously been frozen, you can tell my the residual pork pieces stuck on the meat. So the excitement of finding a legit dim sum place outside of mpk/sgv wore off when we realized that in fact... we hadn't. I noticed that they offer Peking Duck for dinner and was excited, but after eating dim sum there, im skeptical about the quality of their food now.

You know this is a good establishment if it's busy even on a Monday afternoon. The Xiu mai was large, juicy and good (that's what she said). The shrimp in rice flour was also very moist and soft. The fung xao (chicken feet) on the other hand was disappointing. The har gow wasn't anything special but at least the shrimp was fairly big. They even have pineapple custard buns but unfortunately I was able to try any. The dim sum is also cheap enough that you'll be full and so will your friends for less than $10 each. You may even have some to take home.

Came here for a late lunch around 2pm and food was okay. Really not much food left so that was a bummer but returned on another occasion with my family and they really enjoyed it. They thought the lobster yein mein was delicious and fairly priced! This place does get busy during your regular 11-1pm, when people typically have dim sum.

Great place for dim sum in Arcadia, will definitely go back. The food tastes pretty much the same as most dim sum places in 626 area. But is much less crowded at least around 11 on a sunny Saturday. Their Chinese new year decoration is really cute too. They are super friendly, the service definitely beats other dim sum places.

Ugh, nothing else was open yet, not even the food court next door, so we came back here. Plus I'm kind of tired of Din Tai Fung. The dim sum was tired, just like the interior of this restaurant. The shark's fin and chiu chow dumplings had mushy skins. The lotus leaf wrapped sticky rice was made in a bowl, and then plopped onto the leaves and wrapped up; the rice was still shaped like the bowl when you open it. So of course it lacked a lot of flavor, plus it was greasy, too much pork, no egg yolk. The snow mountain bao was good, it was filled with taro. Everything else was hum drum mediocre. I wasn't full but didn't want to eat anymore of this blah dim sum. When we were ready to leave, then they started bringing out more variety, but I'd already had enough. Even when the cheung fun cart came by, I didn't want to try it, which is highly unusual for me.

Come here once every two weeks for dim sum because it is the closest place that has the carts. The service is okay, depending on what mood the servers are in. The food itself is good. The good food keeps me coming back even though the service sucks sometimes, plus it is very close. I love the cart style dim sum. Some places are starting to take the carts away and you order from a menu. And I like ordering from the carts they push around with all the different types of yummy dishes. If you go later in the day between 10:30am-2pm, there are much more selection than between 9:30am to 10:30am. I have been coming later for breakfast/lunch.

Came here with a couple friends and the dim sum was soo good! The wait went by pretty fast too which was good. The reason why I only gave 2 stars was because their service was the worst I've ever experienced. Everytime id ask them for napkin or water id I have to ask like 6 times before it actually came out. It was so rude when I would try to ask them something, then they look at me and just walk away when I'm not even done yet. The carts were taking forever to come Around.. At the end I decided to just ask the manager to help us bcos I thought maybe he would give better service, but I was wrong!! He was just as bad. I ordered shrimp balls and the taro and he didn't even bother to ask me how many. When he came back with it the shrimp balls were on this paper and he put the sauce under the paper.. Wtf? I told him I wanted to order another one of each so he just stormed off. When he came back with the taro he said u wanted this one right? I had food in my mouth so I couldn't respond right away and he says yes or no?! So rude. The last shrimp ball came out (also on a paper) and the sauce was drizzled so nicely on the top.

As I pulled into the parking lot, I was nearly overwhelmed by the Asian-ness of the plaza and this is coming from a Bay Area native XD I had dinner here with family and we were impressed with most of the dishes including a braised tofu stirfry, pea shoots and an enormous ginger scallion lobster. So much so that Full House would fall alongside the top 3 or so places I've been to around the bay. The decor was also very upscale especially considering the affordable price point with touches like fully covered seats.

This review is for their take-out outfit that is located inside the food court which is an extension from the full-service restaurant. Access to this take-out service counter is from the food court area. I have promised myself never to buy take-outs from this place ever after receiving very bad and condescending service from a bunch of nitwits who act like take-out chefs here! My first few visits to this take-out counter was because of the attractive price for combo rice dishes. I guess nowhere in SG Valley you will find a roast pork rice combo with soup at $4.95. BUT, the service is just horrible here! On many occasions, I have to deal with arrogant attitudes of the take-out chefs who handled the meats and took orders. Then there were internal loud quarrels among the few of them when my wife was there one day that almost turned ugly when three of them ganged up loudly against one of their own with knives/choppers held on white knuckles - all of them oblivion to the customers awaiting. My last straw was the complete arrogance and ridiculing attitude they show me when I order for roast pork rice package in the late afternoon. I was loudly told off that there was no more roast pork available and it was a sold-out. I was disappointed and ordered a roast duck rice combo despite my crave for the former. Before I could even pay for my now ordered roast duck rice, a loud taking female lady whom the take-out chefs apparently knew very well wanted roast pork rice combo and the nitwits behind the counter complied eagerly! I was surprised and questioned why I was told before that there was no more roast pork available and yet when this Cantonese speaking lady ordered, there was no similar excuse given? I was given the cold shoulder and was told that it was my mistake that I did not hear clearly that the "ordinary" roast pork was sold out, but the "more expensive" roast pork belly was still available! I asked for an exchange of my order to the "roast pork belly" combo and they relented. I paid for my "roast pork belly" combo and returned home to discover that they only gave me 4 to 6 thinly sliced roast pork "belly" atop of a mountain of rice! What a rip-off and what arrogance these bunch of take-out chefs had shown to customers I thought. Never will I return to this restaurant for their take out orders. In fact, come to think about it, should I expect more from their full service place now? I don;t think I would even venture in to find out! Adios to this place. I would rather spend my hard earned dollars elsewhere where service is respect is given to customers!

This place is perfect after a 10-mile hike in the Angeles National Forest. It's cheap (about $1 some per plate) and there is the usual variety of foods (most of which I don't know the name of, unfortunately). I've gone at various times of the day (mostly brunch to lunch-ish), and have never waited more than 10 minutes to be seated (if at all). The service when seated, however, has varied the past several times, but no one has ever been mean about it. I think it just gets busy. I'd definitely recommend this place just by the price alone.

Pops and my step mom take the fam here often when we come for a visit. It was his birthday and we attempted to go to a few other places I found on yelp but the niece and nephew had to be accomodated so we ended up at our usual haunt. Cripsy chow mein with chicken (nice sauce but I like more veggies than just chinese brocolli), soft noodles with lobster and cream sauce, spicy salt shrimp with skin on, beef with oyster sauce, chinese brocolli, and sizzling rice soup. The kids loved the sizzling rice soup and kept eating the crunchy pieces that were placed on the side. Soft noodles are part of what makes this place popular because it is only 8.99 an order. It is a little bland for my taste but went well with all the other saltier dishes. I pretty much just ate the lobster. The shrimp was spot on also and the brocolli was standard. I noticed many people ordering the duck with soft white bread, and I wanted to just grab one from a table and devour it. Why is it that I always want what someone has at another table? Greed? Glutony? Not sure... ahah This place is a local favorite and pretty standard for the most part when it comes to Cantonese food. If you aren't familiar with Cantonese food, then just read the reviews and see what people usually recommend and you will be happy for the most part. Holla!

Nothing to tug at my taste buds here. It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. I got my usual dishes like beef noodles, sui mai, shrimp dumpling, and egg custard. All the dished tasted good, but they are seem to taste the same. Just a good back up place to have if you got no were to go for dim sum.

This is a great dim sum restaurant. The food is consistently fresh, and the food from the carts are still nice and warm. They are fast to serve, and have the foresight to make batches of dim sum so that when you see someone else ordering something, you can quickly grab a plate for yourself. Remember you're in a dim sum restaurant, the more lively, rude, and louder you are, the better the service is. They honestly make some great har gows, and shao mais.

I tried dinner this time. Dim sum was very cheap and good last time but dinner was pricey. Had dishes such as walnut with shrimp, melon soup was delicious, saute onchoy with garlic, and some beef dish and the last was the Dole fish. It had lots of bone and very little meat for a $50 dish. will be back for dim sum but probably not dinner.

I've been coming here for most of my life, so much that alot of the dim sum cart ladies know me and my family. I love it here. Har gow, Siu Mai, Char Tsiu Bao, all exceptional. There's a reason I've been coming here for years and years, and it's cause they're damn good.

I'm giving this place 3.5 stars. To be honest, this wasn't my first choice for dim sum. However, my heart was broken when I called Hop Li in Arcadia to order takeout & was told they no longer do dim sum, only lunch specials : ( I've been here before & the quality & price could not compare to the dim sum previously at Hop Li. Anyways, I had to satisfy my dim sum craving somehow & this was the closest place. So it's $1.98 per small plate & I ordered 4: The tofu wrapped pork & bamboo shoots w/ gravy, har gow (aka shrimp dumplings wrapped in wheat & tapioca starch), shu mai ( Pork & shrimp wrapped in steamed wonton), & beef meatballs w/ peas. The shu mai was not as moist & flavorful as I've had at other establishments. There was even the surprise of finding a minced pork bone in one of them -_- The beef meatballs came w/ what looks & tastes like frozen peas...and came w/o my most favorite sauce that comes w/ beef meatballs...the vinegar. The tofu wrapped pork was A-ok, it wasn't good or bad, just average. My favorite of all the items ordered, was the shrimp dumpling. The shrimp was actually abundant & flavorful, much to my surprise ( I wasn't expecting much at this point). All in all, I didn't love my experience but I didn't hate it & if I were craving dim sum & I've tried other places, I'll still come back.

Second time here, first time for dim sum. Both times service SUCKS! They're slow and rude. Dim sum was blah. Har Gow was super dry, spare ribs was bland. I can usually finish a pot of the chrysanthemum tea by myself when I go eat dim sum, but it tasted.... Off today. When my sister showed me the tea pot I seriously gagged. It was so disgustingly filthy inside the teapot. Barf. Had lobster noodle here and it was not appealing to the eyes. It was so plain and blah looking. Probably could of made it better at home. Not worth the wait. Only good thing is prices are decent.

I just had dimsum here a few hours ago! I've been eating at Full House for at least the last 10 years. I used to think that it was kind of dirty - the utensils, plates, etc. But recently, I feel the restaurant has very much improved! The dimsum has gotten exponentially better in the last few months. The kitchen is continuously producing new, fresh dishes, all coming out on trays. I really like dim sum restaurants that bring out new hot items, as opposed to everything in the cart. It is particularly nice to see fresh sweet buns and egg tarts coming out. They also bring out trays with deep fried tofu and XiYuWan ChowMein. Mmm dimsum... HaGow, XiuMai, Yum!! The regular menu here is pretty standard of a Chinese Seafood Restaurant. One of the best items here is the Peking Duck. I believe it's only like $9.99? Which is a steal for the quality and quantity that they give you. All their dishes are pretty standard and come in good portions. Overall a pretty great Chinese Restaurant. An additional plus is it is very conveniently located next to 99 Ranch Market and RJ Patisserie (a very nice asian bakery).

This is the BEST dim sum place I had ever been to . Over all the waiter/waitress there are nice and friendly , especially the MANAGER. Not anything special about this place versus other Dim sum places, but for some reason I have a good impression of it. We ate a pretty late Dim sum today, like around 2 PM on a Saturday. Today their Cha siu bao was a little weird. Something missing. Siu mai was good and actually the Cheung Fen was very good today. Nice and chewy. They did forget our order of Lobster yi mein, which was on special today for $8.99 but man that's a good price. Minus for running out of Dan tat. Oh for Thanksgiving we got our Turkey cooked and prepped here for I think $45 last year - came also with nuo mi sticky rice and a bottle of red wine. Good deal.

This is a fairly decent dim sum place considering its location and price. I would say this is a middle-tier dim sum restaurant- not too nice, nor too ghetto. This is one of the few places that still have dim sum carts, and I love the nostalgia of the carts! +1 point for you Full House. The dim sum here isn't bad, but it's not mind blowing. It's just average/good. I do like how they have a larger selection of dim sum than most of the restaurants in the area. They also open pretty early if you're an early bird. Things that stood out to me were: -pork dumplings (XLB) -chicken steamed rice -steamed lotus buns Most things I got were good, and nothing was gross. This is a safe place to go to and won't disappoint you, but it also won't wow/overwhelm. Average. Also, I would definitely come here over Hop Li.

Coming in close to the end of their lunch service leaves one with less options of dim sum to choose from. We dined on a weekday. The restaurant had several carts being pushed around with dishes of your standard siomai, dim sum, tripe, crispy pork belly, chicken feet, congee, and sweet buns. There were a few dishes that we had to get made since again, were getting ready to close up shop. For a party of three and a tot, with more than enough food, we came out of there spending a bit over $20. Not the best dim sum to have but this was right next door to the market.

I keep forgetting to NOT come here whenever I want me some dim sum! The last time I went, I watched waiters stuff food into their mouths right in front of me. And this didn't happen just once, it was happening throughout my whole meal. Dishes were lukewarm and not at all tasty. The waiters coming around with the carts seemed like they could care less to show what they had under the hood, which made for an unexciting experience. Lastly, it was a bummer we couldn't order Chinese broccoli because the chef hadn't arrived yet, which makes me think the food being hawked were just reheated leftovers from the day before? And now I remember why I even came-- I was up early and this place opens early for dim sum.

Yelp should create a special rating for the worst place to eat - this one would be the worst one in Arcadia. Its sickening. The food court is smelly, and unclean. The food (we ordered their special - duck) was rotten. If you smelled the neck of the duck, you would know that the smell was of a rotten bird. The rest of the food we ordered was disguising. Its sickening to go and eat at such places.

When I'm craving dim sum, I seriously won't stop throwing a fit until I have it. Don't get between me&my love of ham sui gok! PARKING: Asian plaza. Be afraid, be very afraid. SERVICE: Typical of a dim sum restaurant. It gets super busy sometimes, but I felt as though one of the older waiters (the ones that add up your bill) was blatantly ignoring my mother. RUDE. FOOD: Food was on par. To be honest, this place is nothing special, but it doesn't suck either. Their ha gow was packed with huge pieces of shrimp. It was 12PM by the time I arrived, so my mom didn't get a chance to have her cha sew so. :( They didn't have jello either! (Okay, I'm a 5 year old). Came here after leaving the crap hole that is New Capital in San Gabriel. Definitely prefer this place now! :)

I can't say that this is one of the best places for dim sum though the variety was of the more popular items. Like all dim sum places during the weekends, this place can get insanely busy. There were only two of us and we must have waited nearly 30 minutes to be seated. But that's the way it is. We sat in probably the most inconvenient table in the whole restaurant. My chair was right next to a doorway where high traffic and dim sum carts traveled. My chair must have been hit once every 2 minutes we were there. Plus for some reason, hardly any food carts come to our section except the same carts over and over again. The dim sum items we ordered were okay but not spectacular. We had the usual sui mai, har gor, steamed BBQ pork buns, chicken feet, and taro dumplings. Items that I wanted were either on carts that never made it to our section or were sold out, which was disappointing. Service is typical of any dim sum place; if they "see" you, they'll acknowledge you. Prices are surprisingly on the high side for dim sum at an average of $2.40 a pop. While that may not be a big deal, it adds up quickly depending on how many dishes you ordered. I had about 15 different dishes with the group of 8 people and some of the item, we had ordered two of a kind. The bill comes out to $15 with tip included. That is good, but we done better elsewhere. In conclusion, I've been here twice and wanted to give Full House a fair review but it's not that difficult to get better tasting/quality dim sum elsewhere. Nothing here really stood out. This place is one hand short of a Full House.

I went here with a couple of friends and it was AMAZING!!! Every dish we got was very good! I love dim sum and I've been to a couple of different places but this place definitely takes the cake!! The chicken feet were delicious although I was kind of nervous to taste them at first (never had them at the other places). I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. I can't wait to go back!!!!

My first choice when ever I want to eat out. As i think of why, I found out that it isn't for the food. Don't get me wrong, they have good food. Love all their dim sumand the duck . But the fried noodle, fried rice, well.. stuff like that are not the best. I guess I love Full House for the familiarity. I've been going here for ever. Even when we moved to a place one hour away from Full House, I still came here when ever I visited. And now that we finally moved to the area, still I'm a real fan. Ow.. btw, for take out, go through food court next to it. Their kitchen I guess connected to one of the booth in the food court. Easy access and fast, no long line. But they don't have dim sum there.

I feel like full house is almost a staple with SGV Chinese people. Yes, not everyone may like it- but they all know of it..and will once in a while go. The dim sum is so-so. It isn't anything super expensive or elaborate, but you (for the most part) get what you pay for. I love the crab soup. (Sorry I don't know the exact name...I normally just order in Chinese). I truly believe they have the best seafood soup around. It runs about $10. Their lobster noodles are quite a deal also. It used to be available only at dinner, but from my visit last week, Full House started to have the special price for it all the time. As it is Ye-Mien (a certain type of Chinese noodles that tend to run a little steeper in price), it is quite worth it...not to mention you get lobster. what to know: it will be loud. Chinese can be pushy when it comes to their dimsum (no I am not making some racist remark here). Expect a cart to be headed your way when someone pulls the attention of the food cart pusher. Don't be intimidated. their tea during dimsum is of Chinese caliber. AKA if you know what to order, it will be well worth it. Don't expect to get away with not paying per person for tea- just because dim sum is the asian equivalent of snack/tea time...and most chinese drink their weight in tea. If you don't know what tea to order, try the (Orange Flower Pu Er). It's a mix of two teas that I like- sorry, I wish I knew the proper translation, but that should be sufficient for communicative purposes.

Favorite food item here is their spicy salt fried tofu. Its unique since the skin is actually airy and deep fried, and then mixed in with the spicy salt, giving it a good texture and yummy taste. That dish is available both during dim sum and regular meal times. The only complaint I would have is usually their service isn't that great. Whenever we request anything, they would often times just sort of wave us off saying "it should be fine" which is odd for me. But their food isn't bad and the prices are pretty fair. I would recommend it for people who are looking for a seafood restaurant and are in the area. But I wouldn't deem it as a "must try".

Not picky when it comes to Chinese food, and really not picky when it comes to reasonably priced Chinese restaurants. My family and I have been coming here for ages and it would be rude and disrespectful to give this place anything less than 5 stars. Must save family's face. All kidding aside, the food here is great! =)

Came here for a banquet and was very impressed. The dishes were inventive, flashy and tasted great. As every dish came the server would present it to the table with an exclamation so everyone could take photos of it. I think one day fancy Chinese restaurants will just come with souvenir booklets that have pictures of your meal in them. Kind of like amusement parks.

Meh the dishes were ok. Not worth waiting for the slow services, rude and unhappy workers. All the popular dishes are pushed around the large parties and all the unpopular dishes were push down your throat if you are the smaller parties (2) Over all bad experience with the poor service, poor manners and mediocre dishes.

Been here a couple times now... very hit or miss. Today was not so great. Came here for Saturday dimsum brunch on a rainy day and was pretty disappointed. The service was ridiculously slow. It took us FOREVER to get through this meal because carts rarely came around. Not only that.. but when they finally did come , there was much that looked very good. It seemed like half the carts that came around were either dessert or buns. Tried the hagow, siu mai, char siu rice paper wrap thing w/ sauce, tripe, fried shrimp ball, this celery & shrimp dumpling thing and egg tart. The fried shrimp ball was a pleasant surprise - I was expecting a whole shrimp, but it was actually mashed up shrimp paste with sweet & sour. The crust of the egg tart was unusually sweet and kinda dough-y.. like eating a slightly undercooked sugar cookie. But it was a pretty decent egg tart none-the-less. In all fairness though, I was here for dim sum a few months ago, and I remember walking away pretty happy that time. I've also been here for dinner before, and that experience was a much better overall. We had peking duck, which was really good. Instead of the usual rice paper, it came a steamed bun to wrap the duck in. Different but very yummy! Averages out to about three stars, but be forewarned - this place is ridiculously packed on weekends (esp Sunday brunch) and it's the parking lot looks big, but it's always packed as well.

Most Excellent Dim Sum. Authentic, high quality, quick and professional service and reasonable prices. My first time here while visiting our California Cousins. This is their favorite dim sum restaurant. Excellent selection of all the classic dim sum favorites. I really like the lazy susan with large groups it makes it much easier to serve yourself. My standard is a place in China Town called Mirawa which is now the Ocean. It get's the extra star because it's in China Town.

I thought I had been to the best dim sum places before... but I was wrong. This place was fantastic! Came here on a busy Sunday and were seated very quickly. I tried many new dishes and loved them all (found out coagulated pig's blood is actually good...). The carts came at a perfect pace.... not too fast so you're stacking on dishes, but not slow enough for you to be waiting. I went with 3 other people and the total was only $30! We tipped big, of course. I will definitely go again!

One of the closest dim sum places to my house. One point scored. Reasonable prices for their dim sum. Party of two with enough for one more to go comes under $20. Another point scored. Able to score a table just a hairline above noon. They're up three points now. So, the dim sum is pretty good here. It's not fantabulously spectacular, but definitely hits the spot when you want some good ol' hot tea and Asian comfort food.

Sorry, but this place is horrible. The managers and the dim sum ladies are so ridiculous. We ordered the fried sticky rice bowl from one of the managers, and specifically asked them to cook it fresh. Instead, they brought some old bowl. How did we know? The rice was HARD. You can't even cut into it with your spoon. Yeah, it's supposed to be SOMEWHAT sticky, not hard as a rock!!@!@@*!#(! Second item, we ordered a scratch rice wrap, no meat inside. When it came, I swear I saw an ant. But before I got a chance to say anything, the dim sum lady poured soy sauce on it. Great. I said wtf is that!! The dim sum lady denied any bugs, and claimed that the soy sauce container is placed next to the tea pots in the kitchen. Uhhh.... I saw that ant before the soy sauce was poured... The shrimp balls in sticky rice used to be one of my favorite dishes from here, and at any dim sum place that offers it. But... it was so bland. No flavor whatsoever. This place has gone significantly down. They are cheaper than the other dim sum places though, I'll give it that. But you do get what you pay for in this situation.....

Meh I came here for dim sum today and I think I would actually give this place a 2.5 since their service was pretty bad. Service: So my friends and I waited to be seated but were ignored for a good five minutes. I tried calling some of their waiters, and one saw me. So at that point I assumed I was going to be helped, but he just looked away and didn't do anything. Finally a girl comes and we're seated a while later. The ladies who push the dimsum carts were really nice. When I they didn't have the food I wanted, they to the liberty in asking other people. But at the end, I was looking at the check and I had a question, but the guy was sooo rude! I was surprised. But then we worked it out and I was going to pay, but he kept standing there and made me really uncomfortable. Their food and cleanliness is average, nothing special. I don't really want to get into details but I usually never pick this place for dimsum anyways, it was just close. I know for a fact, though, that I won't be coming back.

I have been coming here ever since I was born, and I have to say, it is quite amazing. This is probably one if not the best restaurants located in the Temple City/Arcadia area. Not only is it affordable, but it is very delicious for the price! I have been here for almost 18 years now, and the food quality has never dropped. This place is good for dimsum AND dinner. Probably one of the best dimsum places in the LA area (I've been to quite a few). For dimsum, I think all their changfuns are the best. It has always been my favorite dish and I always eat the most of it whenever I go there. Most of the cart ladies are actually very nice and smile. I'm a regular there, so a lot of them know my parents and would sometimes even make some conversations with them. For dinner, I would recommend the salt and pepper squid, beef hot pot (the one on the special menus), peking duck, house special chicken, and the mayonnaise shrimp. OH did I mention? The dinner menus have big pictures on a lot of their items, so you can see delicious previews of the items you should order! Overall, it is and will always be one of my favorite places to go. When I have a family of my own, I will be sure to come and bring my future kids to this place, so they can also fall in love with it just like I have! :)

Food is generally good, plus it is cheap. You might have a hard time flagging down the people with the food carts though. It seems like the one you want is always the one you can't attract the attention of. And if you have a party of 4 or 5 then good luck getting a table. I think you would be better off increasing or reducing the number of people in your party. I had a party of 4 and waited nearly an HOUR! Over forty groups later (mostly of 3 but some were of 6 and 8, and yes that's 40 groups that arrived after we did) we finally got a table. I understand they're popular but I still don't understand why groups of 8 were seated before us. We were sitting at the same sized tables! Stars for the food but not for the service...

I won't waste your time, food was great, especially the Peking Duck. However, the bill added $1.00 for every head for "sitting down/tea service" - are you KIDDING ME? Our bill was close to $80 for lunch, and they added on $1.00 per head, including the 5 children ages 6-7 at the table - I politely asked the manager to remove the fee as it seemed unreasonable as well as unnethical since it is NOT a general practice nor was it posted anywhere - he refused, and thereofore I want to forwarn all of you - there are MANY other great restaurants to go eat at without being nickled and dimed for tea and a chair to sit on in a restaurant.

4 People. Loads and loads of food. $25 a pop. not too bad i guess, but more expensive then Hop Li that I think actually has some pretty good food. But we got other things that were not "dim sum", like the plate of peking duck, or bbq pork, and fried pork, and chow mien. yummy! the service there was okay too, we had to keep asking for refills on tea, and kept asking for our plates to get cleared because we didnt have room for more food! Good variety, squishy seating, overall pretty good dim sum. It's nice that it's right next to a food court so you can get some shaved ice, or boba right next door. As well as go to the market and walk around and do some grocery shopping on the way too!

The BEST Dimsum place ever!!! Don't listen to these ppl giving low ratings! I go here ALL the time, for the past 13 years... & the food is good, price is cheap. There is always a line, so expect 15-30 minute wait. I always go for there "steamed shrimp balls" & chopped pork pieces. Also there "Shu Mai" is the best. It's basically steamed shrimp/pork balls + some stuff I don't know about, but it's REALLY good!!! I think there dimsum closes around 3pm or so.

  • Lilani E.

Seriously - Anywhere where you can feed about 20 people for $120 is a winner in my eyes. The food is very good. It's your typical dim sum place, loud, busy, not the friendliest of people... it's pretty much sit down, get your food and leave so we can clear off the table cloth and feed other hungry mouths. I love the shu mai and the sticky rice. Non-dim sum items I also like here are pecking duck, house special chow mein, and their salt and pepper shrimp. They know my family here by now and have seen us grow with each new addition. One down fall is the large poster size photo of what seems to be a "grey chicken"...either way it is one of the most unappetizing photos and somehow I always get stuck with the seat facing it.

Went there during the morning hours and it was terrible. Service: Very bad. Every time I asked for something they always seemed reluctant do so. Food: Tasty when you eat it, but had to chug in tons of water after I got home. Obviously, there are loads of MSG in the food. Value: Not impressive compared to other Chinese restaurants in SGV. But seems to be a deal compared to the rest in Arcadia.

My family go there, normally on a Saturday morning for dim sum and not really any thing else, so keep that in mind when reading. My favorite dim sum is siu mai and this restaurant is like most others can't seem to be consistent in their quality or taste when it comes to their siu mai. Some days they are grade-A and others I want to spit it out. As for their other food and drinks, they are pretty consistent and quite tasty. They are maybe not the best dim-sum in the area, but short of driving to China Town they are a great option.

I came here for dim sum on a Sunday around noon. It was fairly busy, but not crazy busy. There wasn't much variety of dim sum and the food that they did have was just okay. The floor around my seat was pretty dirty. There were a lot of crumbs scattered around. I left not completely satisfied.

A family friend told me about this place. Ordered wonton soup from their take out in the Food Court next to the restaurant. Took awhile to get their attention, it was close to closing time and they were either eating or cleaning. Wasn't sure if they were still open, but a guy came from the back and took my order. After I ordered my soup, which appears to come from the restaurant kitchen and not the takeout area, I was on my way home in 20 minutes. The soup was OK, a lot of broccoli and not much wontons. Wonton soup with 4 wontons (?), kind of expensive for the number of wontons that were in the soup. The noodles were good, but you really can't mess that up.

I have been coming to this restaurant for a long time. The dim sum usually is pretty good here. But today we had a really bad experience. First, the waiter served the wrong tea without even bother telling us they were out of the tea we ordered. We had to wait for a long time for the cart to come by to our table. The waiter never response when we asked for service. The steam BBQ bun tasted nasty, it smelled and tasted like the BBQ pork is spoiled or something. After we complained to the lead waiter/manager, he just flat out denied it and argued that because they had a new recipe (added lemon juice to the BBQ pork?????) that's why it tasted different. Then he just quickly walked away and tried to ignore us. Few minutes later, I had to tell the waiter to remove the spoiled BBQ pork from my table and deduct it from the bill as well. I will not coming back to this place for sure!!!

Went here on Sunday. OMG Love this place. Atmosphere: We got here at 1130 on a Sunday and the place we pretty busy. We waited no more then 5 mins. As soon as we sat down we were ask if we wanted tea and with a blink of an eye it was there. Lots of open space yet its dim sum so it gets crowded and loud. Service: Service was very friendly. Carts kept rolling to our table. You name it .it was there. Food: I have not a clue what we order all I know it was damn good. A guy was carrying a tray around with noodles. Noodles I tell you were good. Then the BBQ Pork and the Fried pork was so good. These came in a cart. Got some shrimp stuff and egg tart which was really flaky and good. Then a lady came around with a tray of BOBA!!! oh yes I was in heaven now. The only cart that didn't make it to our table was the steam Chinese broccoli I was kind of sad we didn't get to eat that. Was to full to wait for it. With all the stuff we got and we got plenty of plate our bill was $33 and some change. That was not bad at all considering we normally spend 50 at a dim sum place. Con: Didn't get to try the steam Chinese Broccoli. Can't wait to go here again. Will be back soon I hope.

Went here pretty recently for dim sum. What can I say? Everything was done pretty well. Nothing was quite so amazing as to warrant a fifth star but it's a solid winner and one of the better places in the local area. (without heading to Rosemeade/San Gabriel/Alhambra/etc.)

Don't even bother with this place unless you're only looking for dim sum, or banquets. This is after having literally grown up around the place. If you're looking for dim sum, it's pretty good. Nice selections on the pricier weekends, but not so much on weekdays. Things are fairly fresh. The wait is worth it. The dim sum ladies are very polite too, if just a bit pushy at times to make that sale. They've gotten pushier over the years, too. This is our family banquet place. The menus aren't bad (for the set selections) and they have the fancy table settings if you need them. The BBQ platters are awesome (but I know the BBQ shifus so LOL). Most of the time though, especially plain old dinner, the food is not all that authentic Cantonese or tasty. And the servers definitely try to make you order outside of your intended bracket... with their lousy service. Makes me wonder if they only tell the head chef to go to work if they have a banquet.

I LOVE FULL HOUSE SEAFOOD. Where else can you have lunch for 2 for less than $15 and leaving undeniably happy? The wait for a table is always a toss up - you just never know if it's going to be a busy day. For the most part, they are pretty quick at attending to the crowd, so I would wait it out no matter what. I do suggest though that you try your best to not get seated in the room to the right. It's so crowded with tables that chances are you the dim sum carts will have a hard time manuevering around and you'll never get shumai and har gow unless you stand up and ask them to come over. My personal favorites include: Shrimp Chow Fun Har Gow Shumai Chicken Fried Rice Fried Shrimp with Mayo Sesame Seed Balls BBQ Pork Bun Fried Tofu OMG... did I just name mostly everything on the menu? OK, maybe not. I'm totally missing chicken feet. But whatever, I'm sure it's good too! My boss tells me they also have amazing Peking Duck, skin fried to perfection and yummy bread to put it in :) Haven't tried it yet, but he usually is pretty good at picking out good food spots. Also, don't mind the how loud and rude the wait staff is... that is just how they are. I never expect good service when coming into a Chinese place. That way, if I get excellent service - it's a pleasant surprise! :)

here for lunch on saturday afternoon. no wait for me. Acceptable dim sum, but isnt great enough to warrant a return. Good for quick lunch. Didn't really order much but bill came up to $70, so the price isn't proportional to the quality/taste of the food. Service isn't too bad. The shrimp cheong fun is actually pretty good, but the har gau tastes below average. The shao mai is a fail because we didnt even order one. The servers works hard haha.. they will go around and actually hard sell the dim sum. Unfortunately, there is simply no reason for any hard sell if the food is great, for the customers will generally "rob" the food off the servers' carts at any other place where the food taste great xD

  • Vu T.

Not one of the best, but the price is very good for what it is. It has pretty much all the things I like when going out for Dim Sum and the wait is not that long during the weekdays during lunch time. Sometimes, it's hard to flag down a lady for some stuff especially when you get seated in a corner that out of the main path the ladies walk through.

I came here several months ago because my girlfriends were craving dim sum. Since we were in the area, I took them to try this place for their first time. FULL HOUSE, YOU MADE ME LOOK STUPID. Between the bad service and the mediocre food, my girlfriends let me know that we are never going to go to this place again. Step up the service and stop that crazy lady who yelled while she was trying to sell some of her food to us. Unprovoked crazyiness! Its okay I got humor, I can laugh at how off-the-wall she was.

Went here for dinner and had a "first" here. The food was a bit above average, but this place was really crowded and above average loud. Something that's never happened before was eating at a restaurant in the dark. There was a power outage in this complex. Initially there was a backup so the lights were still on, but by dessert time we were eating with only with emergency lights on. Luckily we sat right underneath one so we were all right. It was pretty amusing though, but I felt bad for the table next to us who were trying to eat a steamed fish and not really being able to see.

Wow. Either these reviewers are a rough crowd or I'm not very good at judging dim sum. This place seemed excellent to me. We ordered a bunch of things I can't name... pork skin, bbq pork rice noodle, bbq pork bao (yeah... lot of pork, a philipino friend was with me... I'm just sayin), porridge, chinese broccoli, turnip cake, har gow, shu mai, sweet sticky rice cake,... We were thoroughly satisfied.

Okay whenever I need dim sum in Arcadia my options are either Full House or Hop Li and I usually pick Full House. However, whenever I go to full house my party and I are always placed in corners or cramped into tiny spaces. They want to pack as many people as they can in any place that they can put you. Also since you are in the corners the carts aren't as likely to visit you since it would be hard to get out. I mean, the food is pretty good. Its standard dim sum food....but the service isn't that great. Especially when they dont visit your table that's when guests start to get angry.

Brought here a few days ago and was admittedly skeptical. Now, let it be known that i'm no stranger to chinese resturaunts, but what was eerie was that it was relatively empty when we walked in. o_O odd no? But my fears were quickly laid away when dim sum rolled out. Very very good. and not especially expensive. The food was indeed good. However, I think my experience was marred somewhat as we came just before that pre-dinner break. But still, the duck was tasty(though not as hot as I would have liked it) as was the house wonton soup. I think the total bill was something like 38 bucks for 4 people, which is really very good. That being said, I'd still take Sam Woo over full house. And i being one for ambiance with my dining (when possible at least), would quickly choose someplace else for dinner. Of course, not being chinese might attribute to that, but really to me the presentation and athmosphere was a negative. For that reason, Full house gets a three out of five. Thats from a westerner though, so have that as you will.

it's your standard ok chinese restaurant for chinese people in arcadia. it's been here since as far back as i can remember, and growing up in arcadia i never wanted to go here. the food is ok. the stuff at their takeout side is just as good and cheaper. i do credit this place (and my mom) for introducing me to the salted fish and chicken fried rice. it's so good. but then you can get that just as good anywhere else. nowadays there're so many more other chinese restaurants in arcadia, there's almost no real reason to come here

A little secret, go to the food court right next to the restaurant for one of the better Chinese BBQ in town (roast duck, pork etc).

I picked this place because it opened at 8:30am on a Sunday morning and my brother and his family needed to leave town early, but had to have dim sum. Now I'm no specialist, but I have had some excellent dim sum. This is not one of those times. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't necessarily good. The sui mai, hargow, pork buns and custard buns were all just decent, not great. My brother's favorite dish, the shrimp roll noodle had a funny taste to it. We had to chase down a waitress to get water and even then, it tasted industrial. The service was lackluster and I don't like to be tough on people, but come on, bring me water before the meal starts. Don't give it to me halfway though the meal when my brother asks for it. At least it was cheap- we got 12 dishes for $24. Not bad, but we definitely got what we paid for.

Totally different experience when you come during the week for dim sum. I came here with a couple of coworkers cause we started taking about dim sum and got the craving. I was busy but we got seated right away. The food was pretty good and decently priced. $31 for 3 people to eat. The best part was the customer service of one of the cart ladies. We've been waiting for shu mai the hole time cause they had to make a new batch and when I asked this particular employee she said that she did not have any. She pointed to another cart but then went over and got me 2 of them (I had asked for 2). That was awesome. Later she comes by with one steam container on a plate and she tells my coworker, "Here is the dessert bao that you mention". Not in those word cause she could barely speak English but to the same effect. I have never been to a traditional Asian restaurant where an employee would anything close to this. We made sure to personally thank her. Too bad they have to share the tips.

the food was ok..dimsum was good but their service was really bad. if they changed all the waiters and waitress i would probably go back for the food. especially the managers were very rude. once i was there the place was full but they gave a table to some ppl they know w/o reservation come after us..yes i understood what they said even it's in Cantonese they thought ppl wont understand. rudest experience in recent years and they kept ignoring you

Not bad at all for Dim Sum. I took my sweetheart for his first dim sum. He liked the cha shu bao and the small dumplings. The service is standard for Chinese restaurant. To avoid the wait, try to be there before 12:30 pm on the weekends.

We just ate there for an early lunch and were very happy. Staff was very friendly (we are not Asian) and helped us find the dishes we were looking for even though we did not know the name. Opens at 9:30 am. Like the other reviews say - go early! We arrived at 11:15 and got seated immediately. By the time we left, it was completely full and there was a wait (midweek).

I'm not sure what the rave is here about this place. The dim sum was cold when we ate here. We got seated quickly, but the dim sum needed to be reheated (it was 11:45 AM, so the dim sum should have been hot and fresh). Better choices elsewhere.

My mum decided to try this place after hearing some recommendations. I called in earlier to place a reservation, and after 5-6 rings, a woman said we can just walk in since there weren't too many diners at the moment. Arriving at the destination 25 minutes later, I wasn't so sure, since there were people standing outside. Oh well, at least parking wasn't too bad on a Sunday noon. My mum and I entered the restaurant to place our seats and boy, was I in for a pleasant surprise! Our group of seven did NOT have to wait (not two minutes, not one minute, not even 30 seconds!) We were immediately seated on arrival! AWESOME! (Although, I do feel bad for the people already waiting...I know first-hand how it feels). Once seated, a woman pushing a dim-sum cart asked if we wanted anything from her cart and I asked for an order of chicken feet with black bean sauce, beef ball with green vegetables, and two orders each of pork shiu mai and shrimp har gow. As we were eating, the women pushing the cart and carrying the platters continuously asked us if we wanted this and that, so here's a list of what we had (please disregard the spelling, I'm only taking it from their menu!): 2 Pork Shiu Mais (MmMm...) 2 Shrimp Har Gow (Grandmum liked this...) Chicken Feet with Black Bean Sauce (Eh...not enough spices...) Beef Ball with Green Vegetables (vegetables? I only saw herbs and peas!) Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf (I didn't try this...) Cruller Rice Noodles (what a funky name...but ours was cold. ;_;) Steamed Fish Chong Fun (Hm...not bad, I like variation) Steamed Scallop Chong Fun (Needs more scallop, but interesting) Crystalled Leek Gor (Grandmum didn't particularly like this...) Baked B.B.Q. Pork Pies (I was too full to try this, but I noticed there was too little filling) Shrimp Fun Gor (Huh...there was imitation crab in this...not bad...) Boiled Chinese Broccoli with Oyster Sauce aka Cai Lan ($5.95 but it was fresh and crisp) Roast Pork (holy moley! $7.50 for such a small dish! -__-0) 2 Steamed Egg Yolk Buns (Yummy!) I'm giving 4 stars because the women kept pressuring us to try everything, but in the end, I must have given them a weird look because they never stopped by our table afterwords. Hehehe. Other than that, I was particularly impressed with the wait (say what?! Oh, right! We didn't have to wait at all!). The food was pretty good ($2.10 per dish unless otherwise stated). Our bill? $62 with tip! I would recommend this dim sum restaurant for sure!

Just sight seeing . . . That's what happened to me. Came here to eat with 3 others for dinner at 7:15pm; placced order at 7:45pm; received our food at 8:40. Between 7:45 and 8:40 we watched new customers come and go while we waited for our food. Just sight seeing . . . . The sea cucumber with mushrooms was OK, lettuce was cooked and crisp but the sea cucumber need more prep. The mixed vegetable had a very good assortment of mushrooms. The squid in the hot pot needed more prep. The steamed chicken with mushrooms tasted good, but the kitchen needs a better knife to prevent having bone chips.

I would have to say, this is the place to go eat Dim Sum, and maybe that's the only thing good about this restaurant because I always come here with my family to eat dim dum here and never dinner. The place is really busy and sometimes pack. The only thing preventing me from giving this place a 4 star is the fact that the tables all seem really close together. It feels like they were trying to fit as much as possible and provide a little room for the carts to pass by. I would have to say that this place is very good for groups, especially if you know your group is going to get rowdy and loud (cause everyone else in the restaurant is pretty loud). The dim sum is really good, especially for the cheap price (which is probably why you'll have to wait 10-20mins when you arrive cause there are tons of people). I know no one really talks about restrooms in reviews :P but I have to mention... there are only three stalls in the ladies' room and usually one of the three is dirty cause it seems like they don't have anybody taking care of it during the day(or opening hours) :T I guess it's to be expected since a lot of people come here. All in all, this would be the place to go for dim sum

This is the first time I have eaten dim sum down in SoCal, so I am not sure what locals think of this place. For me, this place is decent, not nearly as good as the dim sum around San Francisco, but hey, the prices are lower. I ate here on a Sunday, Father's Day to be exact, and luckily, there was no wait. Another plus- the tables, plates, and utensils are clean.

There's something empowering about ordering food that's pushed around in a hot metal cart, then having it instantly placed on your table. Everyone's hungry, digging in with their chopsticks while you keep an eye for the next dish. What if we could eat all different types of ethnic cuisine like this? One can only imagine.

Dim sum at Full House may be not as good as other places, but other food was surprisingly good. Prices were very reasonable too. So far, this is the only sea food restaurant in the LA area that I would recommend for dinner!

We really enjoyed dim sum here. My college room mate brought us here and we were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful dim sum it offered. Strictly Chinese clientele with a few westerners, but the food speaks for itself.

I judge dim sum restaurants by their congee, and this one has one of the best in So Cal! My second fave dim sum dish, shumai, is also really good here. Go early; it can be a bit of a wait if you go during their peak lunch period.

Absolutely love this place. Their weekend dim sum is great (Recommend going here earlier - 8am-ish to avoid the crowds.) The dinner menu is fairly priced and the quality is great! Get the peking duck plate and crab!!!

Hahaha...it pays to be a regular. At this restaurant, there can be a long wait, but if you have the right connections, you can get in with maybe maximum a 10 minute wait. I'm definitely not a fan of lines. I would say though that if you have to wait, it's worth it. The dim sum is yummy, and if you want to order other dishes that arne't passed around in the carts you are welcome to. You can get fresh vegetable dishes, noodles dishes, etc or stick to the dim sum. The ebst part about this is taht you can get a lot of food for a little money. Unbelievable! I would highly recommend coming with a lot of people so that you can order a lot, but I've come with just two and ordered several dished by several I'd say at least five dishes for two if not more, and the great things is that you will be shocked by the bill and you can take the left overs home. It's a typical Chinese restaurant though - loud and crowded. Also if you haven't been here for dinner, I would recommend it. This will be a little more expensive, but solid food. Try a beef dish, deep fried crab, lobster with ee mein (a type of noodle...mmm), the freshly steamed shrimp with its tasty dipping sauve, the fresh vegetables whether it's dai dow miu (snow pea leaves) or tong choi, fried squid, the winter melon soup...The list could go on, but I'll spare you and myself because thinking about it is making my mouth water. Bon appetit!

um...the "Roasted" duck I ordered was cold. and when I mentioned ths to the server she said it's because you can cut the duck unti lits been cooled...why? I don't know if this was just bs or not.. but anyways also the waiters and help just stand around everywhere right in front of your face and it's very uncomfortable. Even when they give you the check, they wait right next to your table until you sign it and it's just too much. the sweet and sour pork was microwaved and it was way too hot to even eat. I will not not not be going back. it was a big waste of 18 dollars to eat one bite of cold duck and sour and some microwaved, old sweet and sour pork

great place for dim sum... it's all about price performance for me. everything here is in the first tier (as long as it's not a plate of veggies or duck or something) which means under $2/plate on weekdays and a mere $2.10 on weekends. people are very accommodating too- good service even when i bring non asians.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have a personal bias towards this place and I hope I can convince you guys not to eat here! One time we went, the service was especially bad so we decided not to leave a tip, and they chased after us and FORCED us to leave one. The same thing happened to my aunt, except she got up to use the restroom and they thought she was leaving so they chased her and told her to leave a tip. A tip should be based on service; it should be earned! A tip is not legally required to give and they were such assholes about it that I will never go back, and neither will my aunt. I HAVEN'T EVEN GOTTEN TO THE WORST STORY: Thanksgiving. This Thanksgiving we were having about 20 people over at our house. We cooked all the sides and for some reason this year my parents ordered the turkey, fully cooked, from Full House. Full House does this every year, families can preorder turkey's for their Thanksgiving dinner, which saves the time and effort of roasting all day. Anyhow, it gets around 4:30, and 5:00pm is the pick up time for the turkey we ordered ( which was already paid for when my mom ordered it about a week or 2 in advance), so my brother and uncle went a little early to pick it up. They went, and the employees said that it was too early, to come back later. Now, turkeys take hours to roast, right? So would it make sense to have them not ready yet? They come home and go back again in another 30 minutes to pick up the turkey that "wasn't done" yet, only to hear that there are NO TURKEYS LEFT. NONE. So my brother calls home and tells us the news. Hearing the news my dad goes nuts and drives over there himself to yell at them for wrecking our Thanksgiving meal, pretty much. How did they handle the situation? They didn't even want to give us our money back! They said they'd comp us with food to make up for what we paid! RIDICULOUS! In the end my dad got our money back along with some food, but no turkey. He said there were a bunch of people there arguing. One guy had ordered three turkeys, only to get one (His big party must've been pretty disappointed), and my dad said if that guy got 1 out of 3, we should get 1/3 of a turkey! Anyhow, it was terrible and I will never go back. The dim sum has super long waits and isn't that great. It's so noisy and dirty, and they recycle their old dim sum from the day before. Many a time we've ordered food like the rice wrapped in lotus leaf only to notice that it's begun going bad. NASTY. Take your money somewhere else. Who cares if it's cheap. So are they. There are a lot of other dim sum places much better than this place, although in my opinion the best and most delicious dim sum places I've tried are up north.

it's rare that our family drives to Arcadia for dim sum...since most of them live in the rowland/db area. This place is not too bad. The service was typical of a dim sum restaurant....busy. We never did get our order of white carrot cake but I was already pretty stuffed. I would go back if I was in the area.

This was in the middle for myself and some friends who were visiting. Sadly got there after 3:00 pm, so dim sum was done for the day. WE had to order from the regular menu. Not impressed by the regular menu. Their dim sum is a lot better. Probably will not go here again for the regular menu, dim sum is still just ok. There's are better places in Monterey Park, but this is palatable.

My family and I love dim sum late in the day, around 2-3pm. Most places will not have any food left, but you can always count on Full House. There's usually no wait either and always a good selection of it's super greasy good.

The food is decent and the price is pretty good. I would only recommend this place to people if they don't mind the most disrespectful, rude and lazy waiters! They ignore you when you ask for water. Then when you do wave someone down, they don't bring it to you!

Just ate there this morning. One of the cleaner Dim Sum places around although the GRADE B from the health inspector in the window was not very comforting. Been there a few times like the food. HOWEVER, they must take down the picture of the Grey Checken Dish that i was staring at while eating breakfast. Very unappealing and actually disturbing

For those dim sum connoisseurs, this is a place that will satisfy the appetite. Probably the best geniune chinese dim sum closest to the Pasadena area I've had since the four years I've lived here. Brought my parents (yes, who are both Chinese). We enjoyed the dim sum memories and the even better prices compared to most dim sum restaurants even in San Francisco. Speed and frequency of food carts was very good. They don't have "jook" (chinese porridge) but mostly everything else. Go here for real chinese food and cheap prices.

My family and i came to this restaurant to celebrate our recent accomplishment. well, we ordered the fried crab, steam noodle clams, and a crispy fried noodle dish. The crispy fried noodle was not crispy at all. the chef put too much sauce that it overflow the plate. that defeats the purpose of us wanting crispy noodle. The clam dish had a lot of bad clams in it. The clams had these nasty odors to it. They have have been dead clams when the chef cook them. The crab was the only dish that was okay to eat. The crab alone costs close to $20. It was a bad experience. Food was bad. I'll never come here again. And if you like the dim sum, HOP LI on Baldwin Ave. is a lot better, cleaner, and better food.

Our favorite dim sum place these days. Best balance of quality, variety, and value. Great basics, ok for first-timers and phobes (egg rolls, barbecue pork buns) or sophisticates (jellyfish; pei-dan sow-yook jook; turnip, blood and guts stew).

This is the best Dim Sum place you can find in Arcadia of course not comparing it with the million of other dim sum restuarant s in San Gabriel, Monterey Park area etc. For the two Dim Sum place in Arcadia, Full House or Hop Li ...I prefer Full House. It's clean the staff is friendlier, bigger parking lot and the wait isn't bad at all for all the times I come here. Also, the dim sum itself is tastier and a lot more variety than Hop Li.

Unimpressive! My first time here, I was a guest for a wedding banquet. This place really sucked of all time for all the wedding banquets I've been to. That's a good 20+ years!!! I used to think some of the big Chinese restaurants like Ocean Star was bad for wedding banquets due to the sheer large volume of food needed to be prepared but honestly Full House, a smaller seafood restaurant takes the title of the worst so far in my 20+ years of attending Chinese wedding banquets. It was a parade of negative dishes over the entire seven course banquet. Only the red bean stew desert achieved the highest rating which was just mediocre. First of all, the opening dish with cold cuts and jellyfish salad was tasteless, no walnuts and very little amount of duck, and pork rinds. Mostly just tasteless ham slices. Next dish, the steamed scallop in squash was so-so because the scallop was dried. Then the tempura plate was a fusion joke and lack creative genious, mainly a poor excuse for hyping up imitation crab and tiny bay shrimp. The tempura was stuffed with imitation crabmeat and tiny bay shrimp that is rarely found in serious Chinese cooking but used on fried rice at Chinese express places. The lobster dish was unfresh with lobsters that have been dead for days. The meat wasn't even white but a stale yellow and there were no scallions or ginger to season them. I don't know if that was the recipe but it was tasteless especially when the lobster is OLD/STALE. If the absence of scallions/ginger/garlic was not in the recipe then that's very cheap of the kitchen staff to skimp on cheap things like scallion/ginger/garlic. The abalone plate was mixed with abalone type shellfish. I hope the groom knew that and he paid less for the imitation substitute, otherwise it was a sham and shame. Then lastly the steamed fish arrived uncooked in the middle. Since it was a Mandarin fish, a freshwater species, we asked the staff to fully cooked the fish. After five more minutes, the fish returned back from the kitchen a bit chewy. I think they did not have the fish fully thawed before they steamed it. That's why the edges were cooked tender before the inside was even thawed. With the fish being from freshwater, there's no way we are going to eat it raw. We did not come here for dangerous sashimi. They had weeks to prepare for the banquet and should had every single fish thawed. Dumb lazy asses! Overall no dish was memorable and just mediocre at best but mostly awful! It is disappointting that Full House did not go out of it's way to impress the guests of the bride and groom for their future reference for a place to have their wedding banquet. Now, I know even as a quest that I will not have my wedding banquet at this crappy, too slick for their own good place.

***Be aware of the tea charge even if you don't order tea*** "mandatory charge so just get it." We came here because it would be an 1 1/2 wait at Din Tai Fung. It ended up being busy here as well but not long of a wait. The food was mediocre service was fast. We ordered a house special fried rice and it never came out. Good thing because it was over priced at $14.75. But still our bill still came out to over $13 for 3 dim sum plates.

This restaurant is like a childhood memory that I get to revisit whenever I dine here. My family and I used to eat here all the time - for big holidays like Chinese New Year and also regular dining. My favorites are the lobster noodles and Peking duck! I recently came here for dimsum with friends on a weekday too. The ladies here are super sweet and I love that they still walk around with their carts and trays. Food is probably just as good as some of the other places in SGV but this place has sentimental value too so I give it 5 stars! :)

An average/okay "family style" chinese/cantonese seafood restaurant. We came here to try the peking duck special, and although it wasn't bad, it definitely wasn't something to write home about. We also had a few other dishes, which basically tasted the same like they would at every other restaurant of this style in the area, but they were all slightly less salty than expected. To me this was neither a good nor bad thing, but I think the dishes did end up taking slightly less "authentic" chinese because of this. Something that was kind of peculiar was that although this place was all but empty when we got here, the service was extremely slow, and ended up taking as long as it would in a much busier restaurant. So, on one hand, you don't have to wait as long to get seated, but on the other, you sit there awkwardly waiting until someone will take your order, and even longer for them to bring the food. Overall, an okay place if you're around the area, I guess? The prices looked to be around the same price that I would normally always pay, and the parking isn't bad I guess, so I guess it's just another choice among all the different chinese restaurants in the area.

Ehh... I don't really know what all the hype is about. The service is bad, and the food isn't that great. I came here with my friends and was asked how many people we have. I said 3 and the hostess took us to a table that was directly in front of the kitchen. We then waited for carts to be pushed around so we can decide on what to eat. Carts weren't going around until 20 minutes later. We were getting kind of irritated so I went to the open carts and snooped around looking for the items that we're dreading to eat. When I found them, I almost picked it up before one of the cart ladies told me to stop, and she'll get it for me. Honey, I've been looking through your cart for the past 5 minutes, and when I finally decide to pick something up, you stop me? Puh-lease. Literally, when the stacks of dim sum steamers were coming out of the kitchen, we immediately ordered. What I don't understand is why everything is barely warm? This has been the most unsatisfying dim sum place i've ever visited. I thought it would be nice, since most of my friends recommended that I come eat here. NEVER AGAIN! The only thing that I really liked was the sweet tofu. I devoured it as soon as I got it. Nonetheless, don't talk good about it, unless they provide good service and excellent, HOT, food.

My family and I used to come here all the time for dim sum, but we stopped for awhile because we found that places located in Monterey Park to be more authentic and delicious. From what I recall, the dim sum here is pretty good and fresh. We also used to come for their seafood dinners as well. The food here is pretty authentic and good and the wait staff is efficient and they keep the place really clean. A coworker came here on a lunch break last time to purchase the duck and the chicken for us to eat. I thought that it wasn't that good because both the chicken and the duck was super dry. The food here is pretty pricey for what it is because you can probably go to Sam Woo and pay less to get better, jucier duck. I'm just not a fan of the food at this place.

Came here for dimsum on a Sunday just a little after noon and it was packed. My friend and I were able to get seated pretty quick though since it was just the 2 of us. It's located in a strip mall kind of area so it does have a pretty big parking lot with free parking (yay!). They serve dimsum here the traditional style where the dimsum ladies push the carts around and serve pretty much everything you would expect (chicken feet, radish cake, fish balls, shu mai, congee, tripe, har gow (shrimp dumpling), beef/shrimp rice rolls (ow cheurng and ha cheurng), roast pork buns, egg tarts, stuffed peppers, fresh veggies, etc. Our meal came out to around $12 total so prices are not bad! They lose out on 1 star because they didn't have anymore of the egg custard buns (liu sa bau) which I had been on the lookout for ever since I sat down. womp womp maybe next time.

Ordered dim sum to go a couple of times for work. Regardless if the restaurant is busy or not, it has taken 25 minutes for my order. Not bad, but I could have been seated, ordered, and wrapped up the food togo faster. I've also noticed that when I order dumplings of any kind, the skin is broken on many. I don't know if this is normal or they just give these to the people ordering togo. This last time I also got undercooked dumplings. The skin wasn't clear all the way and the inside was uncooked mush. You get what you pay for. I'm gonna start going back to China Red or Lunasia if I can.

Came here for dim sum during lunch time. We ordered 1 fried shrimp ball (2 orders) 2 shumai (2 orders) 3 porridge 4 sweet tofu 5 sweet rice cake We arrived around 100pm on a Monday and were instantly seated down, although it was pretty busy. The service was good, in terms of we got to pick and choose our food within the first 15 min. The servers were fast but for the most part did not really chit chat (as expected). The food was tasteful, especially the shumai! It was also very well priced with our total bill only coming out to $21. I will def recommend this place to my friends and will come back if around the area again :)

Well I have a decision to make. I like this place, they have good variety and a convenient "to go setup" in the neighboring food court. Decent dim sum in Arcadia area, but today when I ate the steam bao, i saw an insect embedded on top! Not sure if I will come back but a lot happens behind the kitchen than we know of at most restaurants... Just a matter if we actually catch their mistakes!

This is a quick one. It's been a while since I've been here since they changed my hours at work. One thing has changed since and that is that they took out the Monday to Friday special. All prices are the same whenever you go. Now my gripe. Without fail, I'm always missing items when I get to go orders. It sucked too because I remembered in the past to always check my order. But this time I didn't and I paid for the items. I hate to post up this review because I've been going here for years but enough is enough. I stopped going to Full House and started going to China Red up Baldwin next to Taco Bell. I think they are cheaper too. I could be wrong, it's been awhile since I've been there.

Good flavors here as always. Waited about 20 minutes for a table but was worth it. Sit back, relax and enjoy to your heart's content. The women pushing the carts work hard, some speak good English some don't however most are friendly and if they don't have what you're looking for, just ask and they'll tell you if they have it or not. I recognize many of the staff's faces which adds to familiarity of this place. They turn the tables here at a fast rate during peak times...watch them do their thing and they'll try to get you seated and eating as soon as they can.

Ive been coming to Full House with my family ever since I was a little girl. We would literally come here every Sunday night for family dinners and on other special occasions. Since I'm more grown up now and everyone is a bit older, we kind of stopped coming here, but my mom still comes here to order food for me whenever I'm craving it. I enjoy their dim sum a lot, but to me most dim sum places all tastes the same. You can even order food from their actual menu during dim sum if you'd like. The ladies push the carts around (which I prefer more than ordering it from a menu), because then you get to see what each dish looks like and it kind of makes me want to order more food. I dont know if its suppose to be a good or bad thing, but it is a good advertisement for food I must say. When I was younger I was spoiled with expensive and delicious food. My family would always order duck, fish, lobster, sharks fin soup, abalone, king crab legs, fried squid, pigeon, fried rice, chow mein etc etc. I was always stuffed by the end of the meal because their food is just so delicious. It's probably because I grew up eating this restaurant for so many years that I am kind of biased towards it. It was always close to my house and my family knew the owner, the manager, and all the waiters and cooks here as well. Once you get to know everyone here, theyre very nice & treat you really well. Since I turned into a vegetarian 9 years ago, I havent been able to eat the seafood and meats dishes that my family still eats. What I love about full house is that they accommodate to vegetarians. So whenever I come here with my family now, my mom always orders specific vegetarian dishes that arent on the menu. The head chef always makes them for me whenever we call in ahead of time, because these vegetarian dishes take a while to make, so you have to preorder it before you come into the restaurant. I dont know what these dishes are called because my mom always orders them in Chinese, :( but i do know that one of the dishes is eggs whites inside a crispy cup. The other dish will be the picture I have posted on my yelp review. It has broccoli in the middle as a garnish, and when you bite into these things, theres mushrooms, carrots, and a whole bunch of other stuff I have no idea what they are lol but theyre yummyyy! The third vegetarian dish is a soup that has tofu, egg whites and mushrooms in it. It is probably my favorite soup of all time because it has the thick texture (similar to sharks fin soup), so since I cant drink sharks fin soup anymore, this was a great substitution. I always add white pepper to it for that extra flavoring, it's so delicious.

Ive been here for dim sum on several occasions because its close and convenient. The prices are pretty cheap for dim sum but you get what you pay for. The dim sum is decent. It gets really crowded during the early morning on weekends. This is one of the few dim sum places that still walk around with dim sum carts, which is nice. Their siu mai (shrimp/pork dumpling) was on the smaller side. The har go (shrimp in crystal/clear dumpling wrap) was aight. If you're looking for dine in dim sum for cheap, this is the spot. The wait on weekends is around 20 minutes. The service was pretty good. All in all, its not bad for what you pay for.

When it comes to dim sum, this place has great food. When it comes to service, there's a problem. Our servers today for dinner were very rude. One older male server tried to pick a verbal fight with my grandma by saying inappropriate things. Then when handling our check, a female server basically threw the check on our table. Even if the restaurant was busy, that kind of behavior wouldn't be permissible. There are many Cantonese food places around the 626 area. I'd go find another restaurant to eat at instead of dealing with servers' bad attitude. Also, the restaurant probably takes advantage of their workers. When entering the restaurant, I saw a server cleaning their pet fish tank with rags atop something like a broomstick. The fish was still in the tank. I'm giving 2 stars because the food redeems them a little.

Been coming here for years and the food is always consistent... I normally order the garlic sauce baby bok choi, shrimp noodle, har gow, and walnut shrimp... When I was still a carnivore I loved their spare ribs and roast duck. They also have an amazing chrysanthemums tea that i order every time. They are normally pretty busy, but as long as you don't have a large party it is pretty quick for seating. I haven't been here for normal dining but the menu looks good and they can accommodate large parties so I'm sure it's pretty decent!

This place is actually not that bad for dim sum. I've been eating dim sum all my life, so I know what's good and what isn't. Here, you still wait for the carts to come by. It's not like those order from the menu types. This is actually better since it;s more genuine. You get a good variety here. they give a good amount in each dish. Quality isn't that bad either compared to a lot of the ones in SGV. There is a wait on Sundays, which is the norm for these type of places.

This is a pretty decent authentic Chinese seafood place - most likely with dishes out of Taiwan, Hong Kong, or Canton. There's whole steamed fish, lobster in supreme sauce, lots of XOXO dishes and tasty smoked/roasted/BBQ meats like duck and pork (good Charsu), as well as other standards like Beef Westlake Soup and Mayo-Shrimps with candied walnuts. Full House also has a nice dim sum on weekends. And if you like their BBQ and want to take some home, Full House has a BBQ to-go stall in the food court right next door.

Good for lunch take-out during the work week if you don't want to battle the inevitable crowds for dim sum and lunch. I like their siu mai. It has good flavor and they're a generous size. About 3 bites worth. I dig it... The har gow was also good. The shrimp was big and it tasted fresh. I recommend it. The fried shrimp ball is pretty good but to me it needed either a dipping sauce or some soy sauce. It's just not tasty enough on its own IMO. The house special chicken chow mein is also good. We ordered a full tray for work and requested (for an additional fee) more chicken. At times the chicken is not plentiful enough and gets lost in the egg noodles, bean sprouts, green & white onion mix. We didnt want to take that chance especially in bringing it back to the hungry folks back at the work place. All in all this Full House does not disappoint. In fact, I recommend it. Having been a long time customer at the Chinatown (Hill St) location, this Arcadia outpost is a nice change from that. It's more of a brunch, dim sum, lunch & dinner spot than the original location which for me has always been a late-night dining destination.

Not a bad spot for dim sum. We came on a Saturday around 11 and didn't have to wait for a table for 6. Carts come by frequently, and they had everything we wanted. Items weren't as greasy as some other places too, so I didn't feel sluggish and gross afterwards. We came on Duan Wu Jie so they had special zong zi aside from the regular nuo mi ji. Not sure about the pricing because I went with the BF's family, but I'd say quality wise, it's one of the better ones I've been to in the area, and with a much shorter wait.

If you're looking for the dim sum experience (aka people pushing dim sum carts around) then Full House is where you ought to be! The tables are pretty close to one another, the service seems rushed but efficient, and the carts come by quite often. FH is pretty much English-friendly. The waiters and waitresses can speak some English which makes coming here a bit more enjoyable. The staff can seem a bit rude, but that's how most dim sum places that I've been to are like. Don't take it personally. They might not acknowledge your order but they'll fulfill your request within minutes. If you're coming here on a weekday, come here early. FH can get really crowded if you come after 11:30 am. Their Lava cake bun is my favorite! It's basically a pineapple bun filled with this mysterious hot sweet yellow custard. Their savory dim sum -- Shumai, hakau, turnip cake are okay. The food isn't outstanding, but it fills your dim sum needs. If you never been to a dim sum place, here's the basic protocol: A waiter/waitress pushes a dim sum carts by your table, you flag them down, pick your food, and repeat. CC accepted!

I came here for their set dinner menu to celebrate my cousin's graduation. We took up three of those big round tables. It was pretty crowded when we got there. Typical Chinese seafood restaurant. Not the cleanest, but the food was okay. I'll try to remember all the dishes, but the first was the soup and the roasted duck where you can make little sandwiches with the skin. They skin is very crispy and yummy! Then they came out with the honey walnut shrimp, which never disappoints, but don't eat too much because it has a lot of mayo. The scallops and fried lobster were very good. Hot pot came out with glass noodle, vegetables, and a variety of seafood (scallops, fish, squid). They also had the crispy noodles and on top there was more seafood and a couple pieces of bbq pork. Porkchops with the sweet and sour sauce. That's all I really remember. The dessert was green bean and that was okay. It tasted a little watered down though. Sorry the food description sucks, but I don't know the names of the dishes. But if you order the prefixed dinner menu, you'll know what I'm talking about!

DIM SUM I've never seen this place empty, it's usually busy. I must tell you... this place is NOT for the faint of heart. I usually have to have my mom present or my Chinese friends when I dine at dim sum places. They will ALWAYS speak to you in Chinese (even if you are not Chinese.. like my Korean friend LOL). A bunch of my coworkers always goes to Capital Seafood on Huntington Drive, but since they are pricey and don't have the ladies pushing the carts around, they asked me where to go. I recommended Full House since it was close to our office. HAHA There was a group of 4 (all non-Asian) and they said it was the scariest experience they've ever had. LOL! (Point proven!). They should have waited for us to go with them. Anyway, they have classic dim sum dishes like: Cha siu bao (steamed barbecue pork-stuffed buns), Siu mai (open-topped steamed pork or shrimp dumplings), Chicken Feet, Pork Spare Ribs, Cheong fan (rolled rice noodles filled with beef, shrimp or pork drizzled with a sweet soy sauce), Egg Custard Tarts, etc. The last time I was here with my mom and sister, we ordered the lobster noodles which were pretty good. We were here yesterday and I noticed they have a 'B' rating. Usually that's for food temperature violations. Every time I've dined here, we've been seated right way. However, sometimes the spot they put you in is SO CRAMPED! My seat is literally against the wall and I have no elbow room. I like dim sum because you can eat so many dishes and the bill is reasonable. Usually averages to $10/person when we are starving too! LOL. 120/100 Reviews for 2014

I have always enjoyed coming to this place with family. Their service is good and the quality of food is pretty consistent.

good lobster lo main. First time being here while visiting my cousin, food was good, service was good. the only thing i had to complain is, before we get the check, we decided to take some food to-go. i would said 6-7 dishes of dim sum. but was told that they have to make it. so we waited for about 30 mins and still hear nothing back from them, so i went over to the kitchen area and asked one of them, then see her freak out and start putting stuff on the streamer. i was like ok, no i dont want it anymore, but they manage to put some stuff in the to go box last min.

I was aching to go to a dim sum place before I go to Canada . ANd upon research I found out I had a dim sum Restuarant just besides my local 99 ranch. It's only like 20 min walk from my house and I begged my dad to take me there, and he said yes! We went on a Thursday I think around 12 pm and we got seated right away as there were some empty seats. We got our food in about like 5 min because of the carts strolling around, and here are some recommendations: -the chicken feet (it's the best you have to try, don't be afraid ) -steamed pork ribs (very flavorful) -Liu Sao bao( pineapple bun with salty egg yolk filing) -har gow -shu mai I personally didn't like the tofu and the shrimp ball but food was good and fast. I'm actually going again with my dad's friend. Recommend you to go !

Finally sucked up my patience and decided to go out for dim sum in Arcadia. The wait was only about 10 minutes for a party of 3. We were banned to the side room instead of the main room so carts came less frequently and we had to often holler very loudly at the cart ladies to get our dim sum essentials. Rule of thumb: Always come with a cantonese person and seat them on the outside! We came around 10:30am on a Sunday and they ran out of the shrimp rice rolls =O. Those are the best ones! And then they didn't come around until much later with the double carb special of chinese donuts wrapped in rice rolls. I was already stuffed so we had to pass. I swear these Chinese women earn a commission for pawning plates onto our table from their carts because they sure do hustle. Overall, tasty, quick, not expensive and you don't have to trek out to Monterey Park/Alhambra if you live in Arcadia or El Monte. Also very decent tea service from the servers, our tea kettle was never empty!

3.7 stars for this dim sum favorite of mine. In terms of dim sum, it's probably my favorite because they have such a wide variety of dishes to pick from and their cost is significantly lower than other places I know. Also, they have tons of seating, which helps with the wait, which is usually long cause they're so popular. Their service is decent. They're always busy so sometimes they forget when you ask them to bring you a certain dish. Also, their carts don't always roll around to all tables equally so you have to flag them, which makes it kinda competitive when they don't have many dishes left of an item, lol. Docked a few stars for that cause I get upset when the food item I want runs out!!! -__- All in all, I like to come here every once in awhile with my family. It's fun to order different dishes and get a bite of everything. Also, there is now a Daiso open on the first floor of this place so you can go shopping after! My personal favorites are the egg tart of course and the Luo Mi Ji (sticky glutinous rice wrapped in leaves). They also have good taro stuff, which is unique to this dim sum restaurant.

I went here because I wanted dim sum and my BF's cousin's friend's uncle (lol) owns this place. We order shu mai, har gow, shrimp rice noodle rolls, spare ribs, chicken feet, fried pork dumplings, and some kind of sticky rice. It was pretty good. I usually only eat shu mai, har gow, and shrimp rice noodle rolls and those were all good. The fried pork dumpling would've been better if it had more filling. I felt like it was really doughy. I wish they had fried shrimp balls though. I went here on Memorial Day Monday and it was really packed. We only waiting about 15 minutes though. I can't believe how cheap it is. I'm not from SoCal so I wasn't use to dishes being only $3. This was considered expensive because of the Holiday. It's normally $2 a plate. In the Bay Area, dim sum gets really expensive because each plate is $5. It was really busy so service wasn't anything to rave about. We had to flag them down if we wanted our waters refilled or something. The dimsum ladies who push the carts around wears spit guards which is good. First time seeing that. Anyway, I'd probably be back if I was in the area.

This place has pretty decent dim sum. It has carts and all. I also came here for dinner. Pretty standard Chinese food. Strong flavors. Although, this time the green beans wasn't so tender. Overall, pretty good food.

I've been a loyal customer to Full House for the past 14 years and the food never disappoints! I live about 40 minutes away from Arcadia, but I will make the drive at least once a month to come eat Dim Sum here. There's always a line on weekends so be mentally prepared for that. But once seated, carts of food come at your table very quickly so you'll have food on your table in no time. The food is definitely cheap and quality is fairly good for what it costs. Definitely one of my favorite Dim Sum place to go to in LA.

We ordered to-go for my hubby's pre-birthday celebration: Salt & Pepper Pork Chops Streamed sole fish Chicken pan fried noodles I received a call back within a minute that they ran out of sole fish, so we exchanged for Onion Ginger Crab for 14.95 Hubby and I picked up the food and had to wait a little long for an order we called ahead of time (so minus 1 star) Steamed rice is not included so we had to pay additional $3 for 3 orders (again minus 1 star) Crab tasted good, but was so thin we couldn't find any meat in it. It was not worth $14.95/lb. (minus 1 star) Salt & Pepper pork chop was good. Had great flavor and crunch. That was yum. Panfried chicken noodles were just greasy! No flavor at all. (Again minus 1 star) So overall this dinner cost approx. $58 but totally not worth it. Only savior from being really bad was the pork chops and the hostess at the restaurant. She was very friendly. So 2 stars Full House. Sorry Uncle Jesse lol

Not a fan of dim sum to begin with, but this one was particularly meh-verage. Everything tasted roughly the same as everything else: meh. Some of the cart-ladies were also quite pushy with foods, setting them ON the table and then asking if we want them. Sort of like,"Eat this, you don't have a choice. Oh, you don't want it? Fine then.". Hilarious trying to ask for water. Each request = one cup. Meaning we had to request anew one time for each person at our table, though we asked for cups (plural) of water for everybody each time.

Went here today to try dim sum for lunch and honestly i don't see what all the hype was about, maybe our experience was less than enjoyable because neither my boyfriend or I speak Cantonese. Although when we walked in we were promptly seated in a small two chair table with the chairs next to each other we weren't given a menu and not asked if we wanted beverages(seriously not even water). We only ordered some fried pork dish which was cold so that wasn't enjoyable and an order of shrimp dumplings which were ok but for $15 for that little amount of food wont have us coming back

Not bad, Esp being the fact that i literally just got off the plane from Asia and this was the first place we ate at. Though it was a tad bit oily but majority of everything was brought out on a timely matter and the servers were nice.

Awesome place to eat at if you want to have cockroach for your meal. I have been a customer for this restaurant for years yet today I found a cockroach in my food. I reported to the staff yet all he did was take away my dish and destroy the evidence. I received NO APOLOGIES from the restaurant and all they did was cancel the the order for that dish. WHO WILL BE RESPONSIBLE IF MY FAMILY GETS SICK BECAUSE OF THE FOOD FROM THIS PLACE!! DON'T RISK THE HEALTH OF YOUR FAMILY FOR THIS KIND OF RESTAURANT!

SO BUSY on weekend. It is cheap, but the quality isn't good, the service isn't as good. I believe there are many dim sum places in 626, I lived literally 5 minutes away from this place, and I do not enjoy coming here. I think its over-rated. I know this place since high school and I can count my visits here with one hand. Their dim sum are not that delicious, I have had better. Their serves sucks; I dont know why all canto restaurant serves are just horrible in general. The waiting is long; for those who still decides to try this place, there're tea place right next door, you can wait there till you get call for your table.

One of my dad's favorites ... Dim sum selection is fairly good and very busy. Love the noodles and bean sprouts, beef tripe, har gow, sho mai, and cha sho bao. Service for is has always been good. Specials on Peking duck and lobster with noodles are favorites ... Also like the snow pea leaf and glazed crystal prawns.

This is my family's go to place for dim sum because it's not only fairly priced but also has a large variety of dishes. We don't speak the language but the servers are all very friendly and are willing to show you all their dishes in the cart so that you can pick and choose without fuss.

Been here for dinners, banquets and dim sum and the service here is consistently bad. I don't really expect too much being a chinese restaurant but this place is worse than average. I came with my family here an hour before they closed recently and they were rushing to get us out. The food here has never wowed me but I've never thought of it as bad in any means. There are certain things which are good like the fried squab but others like their veggies, bbq and hot pots are pretty standard fare. The turtle soup here is a good deal compared to other restaurants and its big unlike the individual sizes at the other places. They give free dessert at the end of the meal which is always a bonus.

Dim Sum is okay, service is okay, the Dim Sum Servers are good, but the MANAGER definitely needs "customer service" training! Due to convenience and the Dim Sum Servers' friendly service, we go there 2 to 3 times per week. The manager recognized us as frequent customers. Instead of being friendly to the customers, he glare at us. Actually, he has the most "sour face" I've ever seen!

This place is okay, nothing special. I used to come here all the time with my family because we lived in Arcadia and didn't want to drive to Monterey Park. Or everybody woke up too late and we didn't have enough time to drive to Monterey Park before dim sum was over. The dim sum is decent and the waits aren't too long. The other food is also just okay. In other words, this is a place you go to because you live nearby and it's serviceable. This is not a restaurant you travel out of your way for.

Review is purely on Dim sum only. Is not the best.. its just okay... I waited for my egg custard and it never showed up. They deserve a 3 stars for dim sum. Service.. horrible. thats why they got deducted one star. I sat next to a desk where they know the manager and waiters and waitresses.. OH! and chef.. cuz 2 cooks came out and chatted.. I'm cool.. friends visiting or whatever.. totally fine.. what bothers me is.. the waiters and waitress come and ask how they can help me.. i'm speaking and you start chatting with the guest next to me.. i literally had to wait for the waiter and waitress to finish their conversation and repeat what i said. First of all, if she is a "VIP" ... get her a VIP room and chat, stop by anytime you guys want IN the room instead pretending to serve other guests. if you guys want to talk.. then don't come to my table and ask what i want and start talking with your VIP guest... and i have to wait and repeat myself... dim sum didn't taste delicious and have to get crappy service no apology.. you are lucky im not the one end up paying the bill... cuz you will not even get a 10% tip..

When I am in the mood for some Chinese food, Jade Orient Express, Din Tai Fung and Full House are the first few places that come to mind. I have a group of co-workers who get these cravings for dim sum sometimes, so they come to me to get some suggestions given that I am from the Arcadia area and most of them are not. I took them to this place a couple of months ago for the first time and they immediately fell in love with the place. The prices are a bit on the higher side for dim sum, but their food makes up for it. WHAT WE ORDERED: Dim-sum (there are too many to remember), so here is a partial list of some of the dishes we ordered: 1. Shrimp in a rice noodle blanket with soy sauce 2. Small pork ribs 3. Rice and sliced pork sausage wrapped in a lotus leaf 4. Shrimp Har gow 5. Shrimp shu mai Dessert: Egg custard lookin' things (not a fan of, but my friends ordered it) If you are really adventurous: 1. Tripe in a white sauce 2. Chicken feet (tripe is ok, chicken feet, not so much). Non-dim sum items: * Baby lobster with hand made noodles in a lobster sauce (suggested to me by my friend Rob I.) * Baby bok choy in a lobster sauce - you figure that you eat so many things that used to swim, cluck, oink or moo. Some green veggies wouldn't hurt. And this dish is pretty tasty! WAIT STAFF Chinese restaurants are not really known for their award winning service and this place is no different. The ladies yell (and sometimes force) their faire at you and you just have to stand your ground and be kinda forceful with your "no"s. VERDICT As mentioned before, when I want Chinese food, it's either Din Tai Fung or this place. Given that their non-dim sum menu is pretty good also, I would come back with a group and try some of their other cuisine.

This place is a good place to go if you're looking to fill your dim sum craving but don't have the time to wait in line. Most of the food tastes good but the only drawback is sometimes they don't have the full selection available. The last couple of times I was there they did not have the shu mai... who doesn't have shu mai!!!! The waitress kept saying "not now later." What I do recommend getting is the beef rice noodle dish! It is delish and they pack it with a lot of meat! Price is Ok, just don't get the chinese broccoli, it's 6 bucks!!! =D

Full House Seafood Restaurant is a great place to come to for Dim Sum on the weekends. Be warned however that it does get super packed and busy after 11am! If you're not right on time or a group member is lagging, you will have to wait for the endless amount of people to finish eating. It seems like everyone that comes here brings their ENTIRE family to enjoy Dim Sum, which is not a bad thing. They open at 11am so be read to enjoy the various Chinese dishes presented to you on moving carts. Full House can seat an exuberant amount of customers that are constantly revolving as Dim Sum goes on throughout the late morning/lunch crowd. It does get noisy in here so if you're looking for something peaceful, Full House is not the place to go. You do get endless amounts of tea but don't spill! I've been seated right next to the kitchen, which is a super score because all of the food goes to your table first when the workers roll out new dishes on their carts. I've also had the pleasure of being stuck in the corner, where the workers ignore you. I've had to get up to flag down the workers because they bypassed our table and our group was hungry. My favorites include duck (if/when they come around with it), har gow, shumai, rice noodle roll w/pork, shrimp or beef, Gai-Lan w/ oyster sauce, fried Tofu, and many other awesome dishes. They also serve Chicken Feet which is super popular among Asian people. I remember bringing one of my friends here who had never experienced Dim Sum and he was amazed at the variety of dishes that they serve. It's also pretty cheap when you go with more than a couple of people. We freaked him out with the Chicken Feet and Fried Squid (I guess the tentacles scared him a lot). The staff here is hit or miss. Sometimes they're really attentive and other times they'll just walk by you. They always seem to know when you're done as they swoop your checklist and turn that into a bill at the end of your meal. Parking in here is horrible as you have to wait for people to leave and people seem to drive however they please. They share their parking lot with the Ranch 99 customers too so be wary of that shopping car that will magically ram into your car. They do accept credit cards and/or cash. If you're looking for a great Dim Sum place in the Arcadia area, this is the place to go to. You just have to force yourself to wake up before 11am on a weekend (the best time to go) to have an awesome time! They are also known for their seafood dishes during dinner service so give them a try. I haven't eaten here for dinner service in a couple of years so I can't comment on that.

Just another dim sum place. Nothing special, nothing bad. The plaza is really big though so there are a lot of choices to choose from. There are small shops to shop for little trinkets to groceries to restaurants.

I highly recommend you never bring elderly persons there. I had a very bad experience today. i brought my mother who is 93 years old there for lunch. I took her to restroom because she was desperate. She could not walk so I had to bring her in wheel chair. When I opened the door to handicap one, somehow there was a dim Sum lady behind the door came out and yelled at me in chinese. Luckily I speak chinese and explained to her that only this handicap one would fit her wheel chair and she was so desperate to poop. Her response to me was she didn't care how mother was and she asked me to apologize. After my mother finished her things, I went looking for the manager to explain the whole incident.

I can't believe a lot of the restaurant try to get away with serving people crappy food and hope they don't realize that. Liked this restaurant before but few days ago when I ordered to go I got the worst quality of food from this restaurant. I don't know if it's because I ordered to go so they gave me crappy food. I know many Chinese actually does it, take out food quality taste a lot worst than when you eat in. anyway, ordered Peking duck to go. what they gave me is pretty much an imitation Peking duck. nasty! and scallop dish is worst. they try to make the scallop bigger than it seem by flatten it. gross! kong pao seafood has chicken in there? I will never go to this restaurant. PS. if you go to this restaurant for dim sum make sure you don't go there one hour before they close because all the food just taste like they've been sitting there for a long time. Hard and dry.

I use to come here every week! I come here not because it was extremely cheap or delicious but because I didn't know better and this place was very convenient. The food is not bad. The service is pretty typical. I use to come on fridays which is perfect because there is no wait. Skip this place on the weekends because the line is not worth waiting. Food: 3 Service: 3 Environment: 4 Price: 4

Wow! The food was very good- be sure to get the squid (calamari style) which was seasoned with jalapeño peppers and green onion- incredible flavor. Everything from appetizer to dessert tasted great. We benefitted from having 2 Cantonese speaking people in our group so they ordered for us. Otherwise; we may have been lost. I'm generally not a fan of Chinese food, but this place showed me how wonderful it can be! Nothing was too oily.

  • Sophia K.

I've been here several times and every time I leave, I think to myself, "I'm never coming back." But in a few months, I'll be back. This place is convenient and close, being that I live in Arcadia. I really dislike this place because their service sucks AND their food sucks. I can understand a Chinese place having bad service, that's easily forgivable, but a Chinese place with bad service AND bad food, that's just no good at all. But I give this place 2 stars because I somehow always return! It's puzzling, but hopefully one day I'll get over it and never return. But I must admit, this place has improved over the years, especially with the flat screen televisions on the walls. If you do come here, get the steamed shrimp. I believe that is the only redeemable dish. Oh, and another reason why this place gets 2 stars is because I never get sick after leaving this place, no matter how dirty the restaurant looks.

I came on a Saturday at around noon with a group of 6, and it was pretty packed. We got seated pretty quickly (~5-10 minutes) for dim sum. Most of the people didn't understand English- so I'm really glad we came with a Mandarin speaker. The selection wasn't huge, but everything tasted pretty standard. The food carts didn't come around very often, and the service was pretty much what you'd expect from a Chinese place- not great. You just have to be aggressive to get the food you want. The prices seemed pretty reasonable. Our bill+tip came out to average $10/person. They won't split the bill between multiple credit cards- so try to coordinate having cash in advance if you're going in a group. I haven't eaten at any other Dim Sum places in Arcadia, so I don't have much else to compare it to in the area. I'd rather try some other places before returning.

Came here with my family to intro my fiance to dim sum. He loved it, but not a fan of chicken feet lol. Neither am I to begin with. But they were good and he tried everything! The sunday we were there there was practically no chicken feet at all, we kept asking for them. One of the ladies that pushed the carts around she fought off others just to get us chicken feet and my dad wouldn't leave without eating any that day! I thought that was perfect service! Someone who cared enough to give them what their customers wanted. 4 stars for the food and 1 extra for the service!

I have never had such bad service, nor attitudes other than Boiling pot's outragous behavior. Not only was the waitress rude, but was also uncaring on patrons. upon being waited to the table, (awkwardly placed diagonally placed next to a wall) the table setter hastily sets up the table. And when I mean hastily, I mean teacups all over, chopsticks not even organized, and some of the napkins were wrinkled, some even looked as if they were used somewhat by the table before us. Disgusting! The food has hit an all time low. Yes I have eaten here before. The food was some of the best around Arcadia. Now in present year 2012, I don't even know where to begin on food matter. Everything is in such poor quality, the rice noodle (cheung fun as some of the cart ladies call it in Cantonese) is thin, but easily crumbles. The Har Gao shrimp just has the weirdest taste.

In my ever enduring quest of finding the next hot dim sum spot, I was always open for suggestions on where to go. This place was probably mentioned by more Yelpers in recent months as the place to be for the "cheap" dim sum. Well, cheap price does NOT always equates to good food and worse yet ... this place wasn't that cheap at all. It's your typical Type B dim sum place where they do believe in employment opportunities for the old ladies by having them pushing the cart. You get instant gratifications by having the food pulled from the cart instead of ordering from a menu. With the menu ordering, you have to know ahead of time in what you want, but with the cart, you can pretty much a la carte your dim sum items in any way you want at your own convenience. I think most people preferred that, but you'll lose the freshness because the items would in the cart for some time being. The place is ample enough room, but can be crowded very quickly for an early Sunday Brunch. So make sure you come in way before 11am or as late as 1:15pm for this shindig. These are some of the items I have ordered: *shumai and Hai gaw (pork dumpling and crystal clear shrimp dumplings) yelp.com/biz_photos/_cpS… . These tends to be staple of a must item to order in every dim sum place. It's good as usual, but not any different. It's hard to screw these two up. *We took another shot at various type of dumplings: yelp.com/biz_photos/_cpS… (Shanghai style shrimp), yelp.com/biz_photos/_cpS… (dumpling stuffed in tofu), yelp.com/biz_photos/_cpS… (pork and veggie bun), and yelp.com/biz_photos/_cpS… (potstickers). All these are very ordinary and not really exciting to eat. Can't really say why they don't stand out, but they were being pushed hard by various cart ladies. *Here's another interested dumpling that is wrapped deep fried skin yelp.com/biz_photos/_cpS… *Finally, the customary Roast Duck yelp.com/biz_photos/_cpS… . It was very good, but not as excellent as I thought. In taste wise, these things were very ordinary. It does not meant it was bad, but with plenty of other options out there in various part of east LA and South LA, this place just does not stand out. As in for price wise, majority of the item excluding the duck was around $2.38 for each dish. If you are looking for cheap, there are places that offered $2 or less for each dish or heavily discounted like New Capital in Rowland Heights (good), MPV in Alhambra (bad), and Ten Ten Seafood in Artesia (the same). It really adds up once you counted the dishes. I had about 15 different dishes with the group of 8 people and some of the item, we had ordered two of a kind. The bill comes out to $15 with tip included. That is good, but we done better elsewhere. If I have to pin a conclusion, I want to give a place a fair shake of that it was not bad of a place for dim sum, but I can get the same quality elsewhere at a closer location. This place just doesn't offered enough of other variety to stand out and not really going to wow you. My search for the next hot dim sum will continue...

Full House is alright. Convenient, cheap place to get Dim Sum. I always get the Fried Dumplings! They're fried with mochi and meat inside (sounds weird but it's delicious). Large selection but not the best. I wouldn't come here for anything except Dim Sum though. Pretty dependable and satisfying overall. Service isn't the best though.

One of my least favorite dim sum restaurants in San Gabriel Valley. So why the 3 star? Because dim sum is just so cheap. The restaurant is actually in pretty decent condition. I have been here since I was one years old and they still have the same waiters and waitresses pushing the dim sum carts back and forth. I come to this location for dim sum mainly because I can walk here in ten minutes. The bad: The dim sum selection here is very limited, they have traditional dim sum and not a very creative variety. Some dim sum items can get very oily and your mouth lips get sticky when the oil turns cold...eew. The good: Prices are ok. The spicy fried tofu is absolutely delicious and so spicy. The har gow is exceptional and the shrimp balls in sticky rice is wonderful.

Oh, dim sum, you're pretty much the only thing I miss when I left the SGV. Full House Seafood Restaurant is the only dim sum place I've really frequented frequently during my two year stay in the San Gabriel Valley. And it really does hit the spot. One star missing just for parking. Parking sucks nasty in any Asian plaza, but it sucks triplefold on Saturday/Sunday mornings when throngs of hungry Asians also want to get their dim-sum on. Seating is pretty fast but that's cuz the hubby/friends and I opt to go on random weekday mornings. Hint: I heard from my other asian friends that Monday morning is the worst time to get dim sum, since they usually start out serving the old Sunday leftovers. Not sure if this is true or not, but I do remember the siu mai being particularly rubbery one of those Mondays. Anywhoo, I don't know how service is for normal people, but I have the eyes and ears of a hawk when I enter dim sum places. Childhood training, you could say. Squeaky wheel gets the grease! I usually seat myself in the corner facing outwards so I can quickly and efficiently spot and flag down servers with the 'good stuff'. You know, pork buns, siu mai, har gow. Food is great, service is great when you are strategic, and food is cheap- I think $1.59 for most items on weekdays. Be careful with the other dishes that are offered that AREN'T dim sum- they can run pretty pricey (up to 6 bucks for a medium plate of bbq meat, for example). Oh, tea is about a dollar a person and you have to spend a minimum of $15 to use a credit card. That is all.

I wouldn't say they have the best food but its decent. The price reflects the food you receive. Comment: there's a post about a seating/tea fee. I believe every dim sum charges this. It's not for the drink but more of a mandatory fee.

05.04.08: Yum Yum! This place is pretty decent. Yes expect a full house and expect a wait. Clean and good service. I like this place over 888. Check, check it out tell me what its all about...(my singing) Can you guess the song? ha hah..

For years, I thought their to-go roast duck (on sale at the nearby food court) was already very good --- until one day I tasted the dine-in version. Fortunately, I have a nearly "photographic memory" for taste. Now every time I eat their to-go roast duck, I just recall the taste of the dine-in version.

This restaurant has become our dim sum staple. No matter how much we order, we are constantly surprised when the bill comes. "This can't be right... they must've made a mistake". That price is definitely right and the dim sum is quite delicious. The "dim sum ladies" are quite useful when it comes to finding that dish we are looking for. The lines can get pretty long during brunch time on Sundays but stick it out, it's a quick moving line. I haven't tried the non-dim sum stuff but my parents tell me the dinner dishes are no where near as good as their dim sum offering. For that amazing combo of good and affordable dim sum, give Full House a go!

Best value-dim sum in SGV. Have been here multiple times and will go back multiple times. Always busy. The pork and roast duck cart never seems to make it around fast enough.

Dear Full House, Your food is delish and your prices, unbeatable. However. Could you please consider taking those god-awful posters off the wall? They aren't convincing anyone to eat... if anything, they are turning people off the idea of food in general. Another thing. Your service is a bit... lacking. I bring in my own giant bottle of water because I know I'm not getting any of yours until the MSG has effectively sucked every last drop of moisture from my brain. BUT! If improving service means raising your dim sum prices... forget it. Leave everything the way it is, and I'll keep coming with the hubby and his family anyway. Even if we have to wait, bring our own water, and stare at nasty posters. Your cheap dim sum is that damn good. Love, Harmony.

My friend and I regularly crave and visit this place for Dim Sum. It's not THE BEST. It's not Empress Pavilion (in DT LA). But it's good, it's fast, it's affordable...the variety rocks. Service can use some help. As non-Asians, we find it difficult to communicate with the servers. There is always a WAIT...(we generally go on the weekends). The truth is, I've been coming here for 15 years and I am not disappointed. Cleanliness is not all that. But like I said, for the price and possibilities...NO COMPLAINTS.

I would have given Full House 4 stars previously, but this last visit today really stunk the place up. Wife and I got there just before 11, place was moderately crowded, but we were seated immediately. We waited a few minutes for a cart to come by, and got the xiaolong bao dumplings, some chow fun, and that was pretty much it. We hung around for 20 minutes waiting for the other carts to come by, I even asked where the shrimp-only dumplings were, and was just told "no". Anyway, this place is good when it's good and on previous visits it has had large dimsum selections, but lately I have found it is hit-or-miss. Oh and the parking fills up after 11 in that center, to the point where I just say F-it, get me out of Arcadia, so get there early.

The prices are very very reasonable for Dim Sum. Seven people, each paid $9. The food itself? Very very average. I can't tell you that any dish was horrible or anything was great, everything was just... average. Parking may be tough so park outside the lot and on the street. Waited about 20 minutes to get a table on Sunday afternoon at 12:30pm which is understandable. Oh and they got TVs with the game on.

Came here at 11am on a Saturday morning. Place was very busy, as usual, but we got seated within 10 minutes. We were a party of 3 and were seated in the room immediately to the right after you enter. I don't know, but every time I have come here I have been seated in this section and have always had good experiences. Dim sum is all about having god exposure to the carts, and the carts all come by this area very thoroughly. The lady who setup our table was Hispanic, and she was extremely prompt to provide us glasses of iced water and extra portions of hot sauce / mustard whenever we asked. All of the food we had tasted very hot and fresh, not as if they had been sitting around being pushed in the cart for a while. I think this is important, especially for certain dishes like the steamed BBQ pork buns, where the bun will get stiff after a short time. The place feels fairly clean, and when I went, the bathroom had soap and plenty of paper towels as well, which can be annoying if you ever go to a place where they're out. In the order of regular dim sum restaurants, I am a bigger fan of Full House compared to the others I go to occasionally with friends (Top Island in Ahambra, Blue Ocean Seafood in Alhambra, NBC Seafood in Monterey Park, and Ocean Star in Monterey Park).

I have to be honest - I do not speak the language and therefore have no idea what the F#@% I am eating, but it is DELICIOUS! I like that they push carts around and you can see what it is before ordering from the carts. I also like the method for how they charge you by stamping your card on your table. This is a nice treat for a Sunday morning once in awhile and I'm almost always one of the only white people there... but I don't care. DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!! For two people, our bill is usually $20 total which isn't bad at all for what we eat and how full we get.

Their dim sum is cheap and good yes, but don't overlook their dinner menu. Stopped by yesterday on Mommy's suggestion and, although we missed dim sum, Daniel N. was craving Peking duck so we stayed. The dining room was empty except workers finally getting to eat lunch at 3 PM, so we sat in the corner and watched Canto-pop news on the flatscreens. Peking duck - $24, they gave us the standard plate with skin, mantou, sauce and scallions... as well as all the rest of the roast duck. Sweet! The duck was a little cold and the skin could've been crispier, but flavor was good, not too sweet, just delicious dark meat. Spicy string beans - Not that spicy, but the skins were blistered and it tastes nice in my mouth. Whole deep fried fish - I've gotten so good at filleting these! My favorite, but this one was not that fresh (probably not killed when I ordered it) because the bones didn't come right out of the meat. Still yummy though. Service is not great and these are no lunch special prices. Still, I'd stop by again for duck in the middle of the afternoon.

yea, they use a lot of MSG. but its SO delicious! if you can get service during dim sum and catch them making your favorite dishes, its worth it. but if you happen to come in while they in between dishes or whatever reason they dont have what you want. it kind of sucks. i always get a kick at the dim sum cart ladies. they come up with a slight grin that you know theyre forcing and offer you whatever they have in their cart or tray. and when you decline, they give you the stink eye and never come back, even when theyve got something new and might possibly want. im giving it a good rating because ive been lucky on most occassions to get decent service and mostly what i crave. but i know this place is a gamble as far as service and availability of dishes. id say give it a shot but dont say i didnt warn you.

This review is for dinner only. I haven't had dim sum here in a while, but my brother vouches for it. Wanting to eat somewhere close for New Year's Eve, my family chose Full House and arrived early enough (~6 pm) to be seated immediately. We ordered the standard Cantonese fare (and enough of it for a mini banquet), but unfortunately the quality was subpar. The breakdown: - Fish Maw with Crab Meat Soup: 2.5 This is my favorite soup, but here it was just crying out for salt and pepper. You could taste the fishiness and slight rubberiness of the fish maw. Vinegar didn't add much flavor. - Shrimp with Walnuts: 2.5 When this arrived at the table, we just stared at it. I'm used to seeing piles of mayo sauce, but here it was like looking at naked shrimp. The mayo flavor was still very strong, so flavor-wise the dish was okay. However, it was a little small and not worth $13.95. - French-style Beef Cubes: 3 How can you really go wrong with beef cubes? Tender and peppery, but pretty standard. - Choy Sum: 3.5 I actually liked these leafy green veggies, and they gave us plenty of it, but my mom complained the dish was too plain. Topped with interestingly large pieces of dried shrimp. - XO Sauce Fried Bean Curd with Scallops: 3 Fried scallops sitting atop fried tofu rounds. This dish definitely had flavor, but the scallops were so fried all you could really taste was breading. - Lobster Yee Mein: 3.5 Special of the day. It was small but pretty tasty, and the yee mein had soaked up enough lobster flavor. I would have given the restaurant 3 stars for the food, but what killed the experience was the service. We added on the lobster yee mein last minute, and they pretty much forgot about it. We waited a solid 30 minutes despite asking the waiters about it every chance we could. It wasn't until we told them to cancel the order that they finally did something about it. Fortunately it tasted okay, but by then we were too full to do anything but pick at it. It was probably just a busy night. But for the price we paid, the food and experience just weren't worth it. I wouldn't come here for dinner again.

Waiters with attitude, so-so food, above average prices. With DinTaiFung, all hyped-up,no talent, Kardashian-type eatery, forcing other restaurants to raise prices, Full House does no better in Arcadia-esque reputation for puffery. Growing up eating in Chinatown in the 60's and 70's, and graduating to Monterey Park's DimSum origins, and having been to Capital Seafood's DimSum, FullHouse still has the Cantonese flavor, but trying to pass off as sheeshy-peeshy, it fails. Our glasses of water had leftover greenonion bits floating, the chicken claws needed a "use by date", the cows honeycomb was still mooing. Overall, it rates a little above current Chinatown in with dated decor and food that needs help.

Full House is one of my favorite places to go for dim sum. I feel like the food here isn't as greasy as all the other dim sum places I've been to. Whenever I go with my friends during the weekday, we always get seated pretty quickly, 20 min wait was the longest. Their dim sum ends at 3pm which is pretty cool, but be sure to get there earlier before all the good stuff runs out. (I usually try to go before 1:30.) The old ladies with the carts are very nice, but other than that I would have to say that the place has pretty bad service. They forget when you ask for things and it takes FOREVER to get their attention. Also, the prices here are really good. Our bill was less than $20 for the three of us, and we were all super stuffed. I went to eat there today with a couple of my friends and we had to ask for their delicious nai hong bao three times, each time a different person because they kept forgetting. I bring my friends here a lot and they always enjoy it. The only downside is dealing with slowww service.

WHAT I LIKE: Value: great prices Taste: it's tasty and fresh Offering: lots of available choices WHAT I HAD: Chicken feet BBQ buns Shu Mai Egg Tarts Har Gow These are all above average in taste and presentation but the value of each dish is hard to complain. THINGS I DID NOT LIKE It's crowded. They crowd the tables They charge $1 for tea even if you order water. Boo! They run out of dim sum items at 12:30 (note to self: go earlier) Servers cannot handle so many tables at the same time. SUMMARY Good value, crowded, tasty, frustrated.

What the hell is this? Veggie eggrolls? Oh crap, tasteless!!! One of my favorite things at dim sum are the eggrolls with pork and sometimes with shrimp. But veggie? Get the hell away from me! And they seemingly were out of har gow last Saturday morning. Oh man, it must be a conspiracy since I didn't get it last time either. So we got two rounds of siu mai. My brother commandeered one of the things of siu mai for himself but then realized he really couldn't eat all four dumplings because we ordered way too much food. Still, they must have dropped their prices because all 12 items we ordered were stamped "A" and we got out of there for just under $35 which includes tax and tip. I remember paying closer to $50 last time I was there with a friend. - ja leung (big fat rice noodle wrapped around a Chinese doughnut): eh - porridge: pretty good - loh mi gai: good flavor, too much rice - siu mai: my tray looked sad, my brother's tray of dumplings were big and juicy looking. Hmm, quality control! - XLBs: you only get three! But these were juicier than the ones I had last time - shrimp cheung fun: tiny shrimp! I was very sad - beef cheung fun: my brother only ate a couple of bites of this - aforementioned eggrolls: skip!! - scallop and shrimp dumplings: tasted more shrimp than anything, I believe these weren't the best, only 3 to an order - spinach dumplings: where's the spinach? They do these way better at 888, 3 to an order - loh bak goh: the grilled taro cake was good though it wasn't fresh off the griddle There were some positives though. Since we got there around 10:30, we beat the rush and found plenty of parking in the lot. We were seated on the side and promptly served and given water and tea very quickly.

I was not a big fan of this place, because the Dim Sim time is always packed, and you got no service at sometimes even cold food. Dinner time is much better, and I became a fan of Full House after they helped me set up a small dinner party last month. The manager was very helpful with the menu selection, he faxed over a menu based on our budget, he was really easy to work with and willing to help. The day of the party, a few people canceled at last minute, a few people showed up without RSVP. Their staff were extremely helpful and patient to reset the table for us ( 2-3 times) They were very attentive during dinner too. The Lobster was good as always, we also LOVE the scallop dish. Many of the guests have never been to Full House before, and they were very happy with the quality of food, friendliness of the staff there too.

Not so good. We went there this past Saturday for the lunch hour rush. Very small and cramped. The ladies pushing the carts were pushy. They also had waiter come by our table with cups of Boba in their hands sticking them in our faces while we were eating and trying to get us to buy them. They would wave them in your face until they got your attention. The food was mediocre at best with very little variety. If you want good Dim Sum for a similar price, go to 888 Seafood in Rosemead which is excellent or Empress Pavilion in Chinatown downtown LA which is sort of the mecca of Dim Sum in So. Cal. Overall very dissapointing and we won't return

This is a Chinese restaurant for Chinese people (aka authentic). I've been to tons of Chinese restaurants (makes sense considering I'm Chinese) and this one was about the same as all the rest: waiters serving as busboys and vice versa, lots of commotion, slow service in general, dishes piling up like crazy! Food: We had dim sum and then a bunch of random dishes. The dim sum was pretty standard with the har gow (shrimp balls covered in rice wrapping) and shumai (pork balls covered in yellow wrapping) steamed to the right amount of retained moisture. The char siu bao (pork buns) were also okay although I did find a piece of bone in one of them. Not out of the ordinary for Chinese restaurants. As for the main courses, the chow mein, Chinese broccoli, and kung pao were all pretty standard. The duck was kinda dry and didn't come with any sauce or cool wrappers which was disappointing. I especially liked the squab which you wrap in lettuce and drench in plum sauce. Then again, you could get this just about anywhere. Service: We asked for water several times. After about 10 minutes we were given cups and a bucket of ice but no water. It took another 10 minutes and asking about 3 more waiters to actually get the water. We also had to grab our own takeout boxes and extra chopsticks since we were being ignored. It was kind of weird that the waiters were carrying around the dim sum on trays instead of the usual carts. I guess the place is usually so packed that they don't have room for it. Atmopshere: It's a Chinese restaurant, land of the lazy susan, complete with obligatory fish tank and big ol' floppy white fish out front. You get less than four stars because I don't really like Chinese food and more than two because I didn't get the usual MSG headache after going.

If you are longing for authentic dim sum experience look no further. Steaming carts full of mouth watering delights await you here! The BBQ pork buns are delicious, both the baked and the steamed. The har gow and siu mai are yummy! Have been here many times over the last 15 years for dim sum and for dinner. Dinner is also very good. Service is exactly what you expect in a Chinese restaurant. Not so great. Who cares! Just have one question, what do they have against giving you a glass of water?!

We came here for Father's Day -- about 13 of us including two kids. We decided on this place cuz my brother-in-law comes here for Dim Sum but never for dinner, and he wanted to give it a shot. My wife and I were the last people to arrive for our party who ordered so we didn't get a chance to look at the menu or prices -- but I heard my Aunt say that our Lobster dish, [I'm not sure what it was called, but it came in a hot pot over rice noodles] was around $160 -- and they didn't even bother pre-cracking the shells!! The rest of the food was just ok... if that. There was this soup that had crispy rice in it, that tasted almost as appetizing as their water! We had this Deep Fried Bitter Melon in Spicy Salt that I surprisingly enjoyed. Service was decent for a Chinese restaurant. Our food was taking a while to come out but we did have to cut them some slack granted it was a "holiday" and they were very crowded. Would I return? If I was invited... Yes. On my own, with my wife... probably not.

Good foodie buddies (or bastards who want to ruin your normal sleeping time and blow your diet right out of the water) Bob C and James S took me and the little lady to this restaurant in the back alleys of Arcadia. It's hard to say that a 99 Ranch and its adjacent stores are hidden away, especially when you think about how huge Chinese people make their plazas to accompany their tiny parking lots, but this one is somewhat hidden. My first impression of the place: TONS of people. Surprisingly enough we didn't wait long to be seated. Heck, we better not considering that Bob and James saw a guy who sat down on someone else's table insisting that he get seated at that table right away just because he's a regular. The food was very good. We had lobster w/ scallions and ginger (I think), roasted chicken w/ salt & pepper, house special chow mein, steamed tilapia w/ soy sauce. All very good dishes. The one that stands out the most was the lobster. Just very good flavoring. The service: it's ok. It was on and off. They were very good at filling up the teapot w/ more tea. They were very bad when it came to actually cooking our food. We waited around for about a good 30 mins before they came to our table and told us that a dish was not available. WTF? did they give away our dish to someone else? As for dinner conversation.... well, that's the part that really ruined me. While eating food, they talked about desserts, ranging from sour cream apple pies to those egg custard tarts chinese bakeries make. Sure enough, we found ourselves racing to the nearest Marie Callender to get a taste of their highly-anticipated sour cream apple pie....

If you want affordable, traditional and absolutely delicious dim sum, then this place is just for you! I have been coming here for years and it is always a full house indeed. The cuisine is consistantly impeccable at fair prices! I came here recently with my sister and parents. We had a variety of dishes: the shrimp dumpling, zhou, beef tripe, egg rolls, meat dumplings, xiao long bao, and scallop dumplings... which all came out to $21! That's amazing! This place is great for all age groups since it's so affordable. The only thing is that you will need to be loud when talking to the cart women and sometimes you need to be aggressive. All the Chinese people go here which only confirms that this is genuine dim sum. Service can be a little slow but that is only because this place is always too packed! Come here for dim sum because it's cheaper than the dinners and is still just as good.

For Dim Sum in America, it's not bad at all! Can't compared to legitimate Dim Sum in Asia, but at the same time it has a great vibe. They push carts around and you can pick and choose, which improves the legitimacy. I personally enjoy going to this restaurant because I live in Arcadia (convenience points). But definitely worth trying if you live in the area.

They have reasonably good dim sum. Nothing super special, but it's as good as most places. We were able to get a table for lunch as soon as we got there on a Wednesday. The service is a little hit or miss. Worth a try if there's no wait.

I've never felt the urge to write a review as soon as I've left and gotten into the car. We came here for my birthday dinner with my family to try the whole roasted pig. It was tough enough to preorder the pig because they couldnt understand us, but once we got there, the waitress was so pushy trying to force us to order more of the expensive dishes. Once all our ordered dishes came, another waiter came and brought us a Peking duck which we did NOT order. The waiter saw that it wasn't on the receipt so he took it back. He came back again and told us to "just eat it." Apparently, the waitress didn't feel we ordered enough and just tacked it on!! My husband and brother didn't want to start a fight with them but it was pretty appalling behavior on the restaurant's part. To top it all off, when they were clearing dishes for us, they left their dirty dish cart in our room for 10 minutes! It was pretty rude and not a pleasant dining experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Thank god I've got dessert waiting for me from a nice bakery. Their service really was disappointing. Sad to have wasted my birthday dinner on this.

How do you say -5000 stars? Just makes me cringe thinking about the service and disrespect we received dining here for my Dad's birthday. We ordered a small fish that they never even brought out to show us, then charged us $70 for it! We were just shocked since we had declined the lobster and crab due to their pricing but when we said the fish, he conveniently did not mention the market price. We felt horrible fighting with the waiters on my dad's bday, and ended up paying the obscene amount, but never ever again will I eat here and I have heard a similar lack-of-integrity story from a friend. If they treat us like this, imagine the lack of integrity in the kitchen....spare me the thought. NEVER eat here, why go through the potential problems?

In my book pretty much the same as my review for Hop Li (on Baldwin), maybe a little bit better. Decent Dim Sum, not bad, not great. I go here mostly for the convenience as I live very close. One thing I do like about Full House is the women that push the carts are friendly (by Dim sum standards) and funny. They are pushy but cute about it if that makes any sense. Also it's convenient to go here as it's in the same plaza as 99 Ranch in case you have any other shopping to do.

YES! i went during lunch, so got seated real fast...i herd that it takes a while usually....but yeahh if you are looking for a fast/cheap/dimsum place..this is the place to b. i went there today...and 6 hours later,,im still food. gotta love that msg.

I haven't been here much for their dim sum, but I come here alot for their dinner which is great. I always think the service is pretty good compared to other reviewers and the servers seem generally attentive to me Here's some of my fav dishes: -I love the pickled vegetables they give you before dinner, especially eating the pickled slices of garlic in it too. Sure, my breath smells like ass for the rest of the night but it's not like I have anybody to kiss anyways......sucks to be me -The Spicy Clam pot is my favorite dish here, if you go on a good day the clams will be huge and there's glass noodles on the bottom too which are awesome -The soy sauce goose intestines are also really good for the people who aren't grossed out by the idea of eating them, it also comes with bean sprouts which are delicious as well -The Lobster Yee mein is pretty good too, and they have a special discount on it sometimes but I forgot how much it costs. Overall, everything here is pretty good to me and it's one of my favorite Chinese restaurants to go to.

Deceiving business practices. They have posted on the walls different specials with prices posted. Ordered one of the specials. Got the check and restaurant charged us double. They said that the prices are no longer valid and the price in the menu are the ones to go with. Bait and switch.

So this restaurant was opened up by the Olsen Twins back in 1990 and...jUUUUUUUUUST KIDDING... I don't know how else to make this review more interesting than to put some cheese into it. The Yum Cha (Dim Sum) Experience: The best Dim Sum in the world is..... not here. Go to Hong Kong or Vancouver. For now, this is close and good enough for me. This place is also a pretty standard Chinese restaurant with decent food at non Dim Sum hours. The best service in the world is.... not here either. However, people should understand that bad service is the norm at these kind of places. Disgruntled ladies mad doggin' you, yelling out "Chicken Feet!"... Good service with a smile isn't the top priority in Chinese restaurant culture IMHO. Don't get all offended. It just wouldn't be right to have some proper fine looking Chinese girl reading off to you the items in the cart in some sophisticated accent. The healthiest food in the world is... not here. I guess a grease fest is a little bit more healthy than a big slab of red meat fat. My favorite dishes here are (trying my best) "Ha Gow, Siu Mai, Chung Fun, Fong Zhao, Pai Gwut, Ham Sui Gok, Cha Siu Bao, Lo Ba Go, Zha Lung." Get that? hahaha. If not, I'd recommend you go with someone who knows Chinese. I'm not sure why people voted that there's no Waiter Service here. Where else can you have people pushing around a fat cart of food just for you? Show some appreciation! Call the Captain and order something!

Full House has become my favorite upscale Chinese restaurant. I love the food here. Some of my favorites include the steamed live shrimp, the house special lobster, the alaskan king crab, salt and pepper shrimp, the Peking duck (it's not authentic, but it's cheap ($9.99) and is served with buns), fish with papaya soup, pig stomach soup, pumpkin with four ingredients, and many other dishes. Suffice it to say, it is not a cheap experience, but well worth it. Also a plus, a waitress remembers me there and does most of the ordering for me. She makes some recommendations in Chinese that I sorta understand and just nod and she does the rest. Good times. Dim Sum: The dim sum is not all that special here. I always end up going to Hop Li on Baldwin instead.

Let's see, long wait to get in, not another ...ummmm westerner in sight, lots of rapid movement in the dining room. These are a few of my telltale signs that it's gotta be good. Well that and my Chinese friends recommend it too. At first I was a little concerned that soooo many people were staring at me. After a few minutes I realized they were staring at the bright orange Croc clogs. Way to blend in JayChan! Three hungry adults and one cute as heck kindergartner wiped out a good amount of food and the total tab was just under $40. I really messed up though, I wanted to eat an entire plate of gai-lan my self! The stalks were the thinner more tender variety and they were steamed just right! I avoided the fong jiao because I was wearing white sleeves and my Yelp t-shirt and I ALWAYS, without fail, manage to decorate my shirt with chicken foot prints! BOO...I wound up craving them all the way home :( Everything was great I'd definitely go back even though it's 35 miles from home!

There's some decent dim sum items but if you're looking for the best...you ought to go somewhere else since I'm sure you'll be disappointed. There tends to be a good amount of people waiting outside during the lunch hours so get there early. Depending on where you sit, service can be slightly spotty (from my experience that is). The place is not as expensive as the better places so I guess it is what you pay is what you get.

Full House, while not the most exciting restaurant, is a decent place for dim sum. Overall, they're okay with the basics. Service wasn't particularly bad or good. If you're looking for an immaculate experience with dim sum, I'm quite confident that there are much better places. But if you're just in need of any passable dim sum, this will decently get the job done.

Food here is cheap cheap cheap (for dim sum). Of course, to be cheap while still making money, the restaurant will need to cut something. In this case, it is the quality of food and sometime the service. If you want it cheap, and don't mind the long wait and average and boring tasting food, this is the place to go. If you want decent food, or good service, the long wait here is not worth it. (Although it is a good place for take out food in the evening, because there is no wait, and its dinner menu is better quality.)

My family has been coming here for more than 10 years now....almost everyday...let me tell you, they have the best Char Siu Bao in the area... It's a great neighborhood dim sum place, and the staff there always take good care of us. Price are very reasonable......and food wise, it's good...otherwise wouldn't be coming here constantly for more than 10 years, right?

Great place for fresh Dim Sum. If you are already eating there, and plan on ordering to go, it's cheaper to order the food as if you are going to eat there, and then order boxes. They don't like it, but oh well.

My coworkers and I go here a few times a year for Dim Sum. Standard offerings, but well done and cheap. On a rainy Friday at 11:30, there was no wait, but also a lack of carts. For three people, we split 8 dishes and were all stuffed. With the tea charge (a little under a dollar per person) our bill was less than $20 total. Nice :-)

Dim sum isn't bad, I've had better. But it's close to where we live so it isn't a bad place to go when I have a craving for dim sum. We have also called in for take out, the food isn't too bad either. Overall, I would only come here if I had a serious craving for dim sum and didn't want to travel a little further south to some other dim sum places. That being said, prices aren't bad and service is decent. Would I come back...yes, but only if I were pressed for time and didn't want to drive further.

"Be 2 or 4, but not 5..." Like Christmas or Thanksgiving, New Year's Day presents an interesting eating conundrum. Nothing is open and the fries at Carl's Jr. are always cold. Thank the stars that ALL the Chinese restaurants are open! After watching the Rose Parade with my family (my mom's wish for the last 10 years) from our small spot on Colorado, we were looking forward to some good dim sum. After a quick Yelp search at my friend's Pasadena pad, we decide on Full House Seafood because Nicky C. says there's a maximum 10 minute wait and there were enough good reviews. This restaurant is exactly 3.7 miles from the parade route. Too bad it took f*n 45 minutes to get to Full House. But, I learned my lesson. My parents went south of Colorado to get there and were there in 25 minutes. We went north and it took double. The wait really is only 10 minutes ONLY IF you are a group of 2 or 4, not 5. There's a lot of small tables there so it's quick. However, if you need one of those round tables (for 5 or more) be prepared to wait the usual dim sum time... However, the dim selection is vast... more dishes than I have seen before and some I haven't. Even my parents who love dim sum were surprised by the variety. To be honest, I don't think the dim sum tastes that great and no one dish particularly stands out in my mind. Oh well... The steamed spinach was steamed to perfection and the cha siu bao (baked and steamed) were both good (not soggy). The sticky rice is pretty good too but it's missing the egg and egg yolk that it usually has... Just be a pair, and not a third wheel...

Food was just average with decent pricing. Service was a little slow on the day i went. Parking is limited depending on the day you decide to dine. They are also shorthanded from what i noticed. Your experience may vary but i was not impressed.

My friends introduce to this place. Pretty decent for dim sum the key word is affordable. Too bad I was only a party of 3 because I LOVE to pig out when it comes to dim sum, so I could only order so many items. Note to self...bring more friends next time. Their egg custard tart is soso.

Open early food is always hot, Service is excellent and the price is very reasonable. After 11AM hot dimsun of all sorts start to come out, roast duck is superb. My husband Derek and I frequent the restaurant with my father in-law. That is most Sundays. Highly recommended.

Wow, second time dining in Arcadia in a week. It's a new record. Anyways, a family friend was treating us to dinner so he picked this place. I had read it had pretty good dim sum but dinner was kinda iffy. So my expectations weren't too high. When I first walked in, I thought it looked pretty small - no wonder it gets packed on the weekends. But there's another area off to the side - didn't go in there so maybe it can fit a ton of more people. Anyways I think the guy treating us was trying to impress because he ordered some pretty outrageously priced items - turtle soup for $30 (enough for about 10 bowls), peking duck at $24, sea shrimp at $20+ per pound, and a rare fish that my dad swears he has never had outside of China (I can't imagine how much that is). Also we got the french style beef cubes (they were much better at May Mei's), and the eggs over snow pea leaves (good but new to me since I've only ever seen the eggs over other veggies like spinach). I would have the say the duck was the best dish. I like how they separated the [meat on the bones] with just the [crispy skin and a little bit of meat]. And of course they have the mini white buns, duck sauce, and fried shrimp chips. The soup was nothing to rave about - maybe turtle is supposed to be good for you so that's why it's so special. The shrimp was nice and fresh and pretty huge, but worth $20/pound - no way. The fish was probably the second best dish. The meat was hot and flaky and soft. Too bad they didn't use the special seafood soy sauce that would've brought out the flavor of the fish more. It was a little bit bland. And the red bean soup dessert was deeeee-licious. Don't think I'll make a special trip out to this place since it's kinda out of the way for me. Sorry.

After a beautiful, relaxing morning of golf, checked this place out from a friends recommendation. Rolled up to the spot and tested my patience again. Why the hell are these places so jammed pack? Got sat, and luckily another friend happened to be chinese, so you know what that means.....we get the good carts to come by. This place was pretty jammin'. Got the usual items, Har-gow, chicken steamed buns, and some other thing I couldn't figure out, but continued to keep eating it. go figure. Another friend ordered the chicken feet which I politely declined. I don't know, I can't get down with something thats throwing up the westside with glossy toe nails to go with it!!!! Didn't really enjoy the duck. I swear, I liked it before, but this thing was straight chalky. Our bill for 3 of us was only 30 bucks. Not bad since we grubbed down too. Might come back if Im back in this neck of the woods.

DIM SUM!!! it all happened so fast! the servers were swirling around my table with their carts and their exotic dishes of culinary delights unbeknown to me. each dumpling was like your first cannon ball into a cold ass pool during the peak of your teenage summer vacation.. you're either gonna sink or swim. in my case, i swam.

I've been coming here for dim sum with my family for as long as I can remember. The service is just what you'd expect from an asian restaurant--you're going have to raise your hand flag someone down if you want to get someone's attention. The women with the carts can be a bit pushy sometimes. The quality is pretty consistent and the food is fresh. I don't have any plans to stop eating here any time soon.

Came here for dim sum with a bunch of friends on a Sunday. The place was packed but luckily my friends got there early and got seated before I got there :P. The dim sum here is pretty cheap compared to other places I've been to. Quality wise it is just as tasty and good. Like all dim sum places with carts, it gets hectic and loud. Please pretty much hogging carts for food. Not a bad place for dim sum!

Good place for dim sum during the week, I would not come during weekend unless it's before 11, this place gets pack up quick. If we come for dinner we always order their special duck and lobster it's for dine in only and price is superb. Of course with any Chinese restaurant I always ask them to easy on the salt , oil and MSG.

This is my family and my go to dim sum place ... Always consistent good and the food is just traditional Cantonese style dim sum. They've had the same manager for past 10+ years who very friendly and remembers faces. Remember that if you're too impatient to wait for the right cart ladies (or they just seem to never make it to your direction) to come around bearing your desired items, just pick up your card and walk directly over them!!!

  • Nina M.

I've been coming here for yearsssssss for Dim Sum. However, recently, they have gone downhill.... so I knocked off a star. Price is $2.38 per dish on weekend. The people pushing carts are very pushy and they always seem to be out of something. My dad said the chicken feet were no bueno... too soggy and the flavor was off. I still like it enough though. Just be careful of the parking. It's horrendous on weekends. IMO, I'd probably avoid this place and find another one in the MP area since it's so crowded. Why do you have to pick this one when there are a million others in the area?

  • W T.

We like to go here for a brunch. Their dim sum is ok. Not the greatest that I had. But not bad for their pricing. I love the congee, the rice noodle, especially the "chicken feet". Those are the best one that I had for a long time. (Even better than those that I had in Hong Kong)!! But this place is pretty noisy. So if you are looking for a place to talk, probably look else where!

  • Jenny L.

It's actually a pretty decent dim sum place, it loud, busy, lots of carts, chatty dim sum ladies and curt waiters...ahh just like a old fashion dim sum joint! I like coming here depending on my mood and the occasion. If I had a more formal occasion I would go to Red Chamber or Capital, just kicking with ur mom and pop, grandparent this would be just fjne..

Came by here yesterday with the GF's family. They're originally from Hong Kong so they know a thing or two about good dim sum places. The wait for a table of 5 was relatively quick. 15 mins or so and it was a packed house on Sunday. Mostly cantonese speaking folks but a few odd balls here and there. Ordering was easy with multiple push carts going around. My GF's brother did all the choosing and most of it was quite good. I'm definitely a fan of their chicken feet. Although, I wished there were more varieties. I didn't see very many deep fried dim sum. Items like crab claw stuffed shrimp were no where to be seen. Fried shrimp balls. Nada. Come to think of it, there were very few fried balls of any kind. Most of the dim sum dishes you find here can be found in pretty much any other Chinese dim place. One of the more usual dish was beef stomach, tripe, and other innards mixed with congealed pork blood. There is a distinct smell to the dish and it's definitely not for the faint of heart. But it was pretty good. Not my most favorite dish but I wouldn't mind eating it again. Service was great. They refilled our tea several times during the course of the meal. It probably helps that coming here with cantonese speaking folks. Definitely a worthy place to satisfy your dim sum cravings. And if you have the stomach to stomach some beef stomach, by all means, check out the aforementioned dish. Stay hungry my friends.

I've liked this place since I was only two years old. This is a good place for quick dim sum. My favorite part is the carts because you can get the food fast. The best items are; sticky rice, (this is rice that's sticky with sausage and shrimp wrapped in a banana leaf), Har gow, and big Shumei (although it didn't have roe on top) In the past they didn't serve spicy cucumbers but today they did. Yay!!!!!! Pineapple buns were fresh. Everything was fresh, fresh, FRESH! Even though this is not my favorite dim sum it's still good. Oliver, a 7 year old kid

The food is great. Service? Not so much. Well, cantonese is not really big on service anyway... so I didn't expect good service when I come here. Eating here does make me nervous though when everybody seem like in such a hurry and also the loud talking... it's another cantonese thing, they talk really loud. But I do love dim sum here! Restroom is actually not as dirty as i thought it would be neither.

Dim sum is good. Very Hong Kong style environment. They have push carts of hot dim sum. But this place is jam packed at lunch time on the Saturday we ate. We had to wait for a table for four. We didn't see much dim sum carts going around with most of the dim sum that we can order from other places. Food is really cheap! We ordered 7 dim sum, and one of the dim sum is special item. The bill total is $26, included tax. So with tips is just a bit over $30! We expected $40!!!!

  • Ruth T.

I love dim sum, especially if it's with carts! Somehow it feels more authentic that way. We were seated right away, but were put in this weird "couples table" where there were two chairs next to each other instead of across from each other because the next table was too close to it. Awkward...I know they are trying to be creative with their space usage, but it felt very cramped. It looked like the tables were pretty close together throughout the restaurant as well, which isn't a great idea when you serve food by pushing carts around. The food is very good! The servings are hot and taste fresh, without being excessively oily like some Chinese restaurants. I don't know the names of all the items we ordered (yeah I know, I'm bad at being Chinese), but you can look at my pictures for reference. Only problem was that it was sometimes difficult to find the dishes we were looking for. I was waiting the whole time for a cart with some egg tarts to pass by, but no dice. Ironically, after we paid the tab a cart laden with egg tarts came out of the kitchen. WHY, UNIVERSE? Bottom line, solid quality food, really cheap dim sum. It came out to be ~$20 for the 7 or so dishes we ordered! And this is between two people. I was happily stuffed after, and I'll definitely be returning. Food: 4, Service: 3, Ambiance: 2, Price: 5

DIM SUM! I only come here for dim sum. Let me tell you why: close to home and short lines. Little to no hassle to get some dim sum. The actual food is okay compared to the nearby competition, but again, LITTLE TO NO HASSLE. So yes, the quality doesn't compare, but it isn't that much worse to be driving 5-10 more miles then waiting for 45 minutes to get a table. If you're looking for some good dim sum and want to get in and out, Full House is the place.

    (4)
  • David C.

Great food, decent portions, cheap prices, but really bad service. Very typical dim sum, traditional Cantonese seafood dishes. Bad Asian lady drivers in the parking lot, lots of old Asian men hocking loogies in the restrooms, waiters that don't listen to you. Bustling would be an understatement; the line is out the door on most weekends by the time they open. PROTIP: If there is a dimsum item you want that isn't on a cart, or can't make it to your table before other people have eaten it all, just let a waiter know and they will bring one to your table with the next batch.

Just next to ranch 99. Typical HK style seafood restaurant. They have daily special, around 10 dishes you can choose, we ordered garlic steam shrimp, which is good. We have the garlic steam oyster too, taste good, a bit more green onions on it and the oyster is small. $1.95 per piece. They have free desert serving after entree.

Before going here I asked several friends for recommendation for the best Dim Sum restaurant in the area. My goto place down town had closed forever and I wanted something closer to Pasadena. I was given three choices by these friends, but only one was still using the food carts, Full House Seafood. Next I read the reviews on Yelp to be prepared. We went on a Sunday morning and only had to wait 10 minutes for a table for four. Bigger parties should expect to wait longer. The food was wonderful! If you don't know Dim Sum, go with somebody who does. My ex wife is Chinese and after 15 years I learned what I like and what tastes good. This place is the way I like it. The carts came by often, they were polite and helpful. The pork was great as was the duck. I will be back again! This is my new go to place for Dim Sum.

I love this place because it's the closest Dim Sum to my house. Not gonna lie, it's super overwhelming, and the service isn't the nicest, but hey, I'm there for the food anyway! Their food carts are always stocked, and they circle around fairly often. Just pray you don't get seated in a corner or you'll never see a cart :( They have these new things that the serving ladies are wearing -- like plastic spit guard masks which are totally gross to look at until you realize that I'd rather see spit on the mask then have no masks and the spit in my food..... The food is good, and you can't go wrong with custard cups!! At one point they served boba for super cheap too -- but I haven't seen it since that one time they had it.

Not bad if you are ok with rude service along with frozen pre-made dim sum. Growing up in Arcadia we have been coming here for years. For SGV standards the variety and quality is poor. Unfortunately through lack of competition and the low standards of other patrons the business is still strong. I wish somebody else will come to town to give these people a run for their money. Until then I will just have to go back out to Monterey Park for dim sum.

I come here for Dim Sum every so often and it's nice. The food is pretty good, the wait is never too crazy, the parking lot can range from completely vacant to completely mental. I highly recommend parking on the street. Spaces can usually be found quite easily either right out front or less than a block away. The service is hit or miss. I recommend just asking for stuff you don't see right away. They really don't mind or if they do they shouldn't. The sooner you get everything you want and the sooner you eat, the sooner you pay and leave and they get another table. It's not going to blow you away and it's not going to break the bank, but this place has pretty good dim sum!

  • Fran B.

Good dim sum. Actually, just ok dim sum. A-OK. I'm not sure what it is, but dim sum in MPK or San Gabriel or somewhere over there, are just generally better than this. Like a star more better. But I can't figure out why?! I feel like the food here is definitely not bad, but I never feel as satisfied when I leave this restaurant the way I do in those other farther dim sum places. But aside from that, they do have your standard dim sum options like chicken feet, shrimp har gow, pork buns, and more. They're all pretty good. I usually come here when I (or the people I'm with) don't feel like driving more than 10 minutes for some dim sum. Although I will say, they do make a mean beef chow fun. I had a pot luck with my friends and someone ordered a party tray of it from Full House, and it was huge! Everyone really liked it, me included. BOMB!

  • Danny L.

Came here for a family gathering. We arrived at 2pm on a Sunday afternoon and the place was still crowded. Even though we had a reservation, we had to wait maybe like 30 minutes. It was understandable because we had a really large party (took up 6 full tables). The service was pretty good for an Asian restaurant. They came by to refill our tea without having us even ask, which never happens! The price for each dish was also very reasonable. The food here was a hit or miss for me. My favorite dish was the lobster. I don't know what they feed it, but the lobster was huge! There was so much meat on each piece, it was really easy to take out. Their roasted duck was also really good; it wasn't too salty and the skin was really crunchy. Two dishes I didn't like was the abalone and steamed fish. The abalone is cooked with bok choy and mushrooms. The mushrooms were super bitter, which usually happens when you don't wash it well enough. They also didn't give you a lot of abalone either. The steamed fish was not cooked correctly. They cut through the middle of the fish so it cooks quickly, making the fish really rough. I am 50/50 about this place. I am from Monterey Park so there are definitely better Asian restaurants closer to me. Probably won't be coming back here again unless my friends from Arcadia and TC want to eat in their area.

I came here a few times for dinner, but haven't tried the dim sum here even though I hear it is better than dinner. The entrees for dinner is mediocre. The vegetables use too much sauce and the beef is really tough. The steamed fish shows no chef skills because they divided the fish in half on the plate to make sure it was cooked all the way. If a chef is not skilled in steaming fish, this is what they would do, but the meat on the fish will come out tough. You can get way better crab at Newport Seafood. It lacks flavor. Their mango pudding for dessert is good but don't expect it to have fresh mangoes, that's pushing it. Their good service is what puts them at 3 stars instead of 2. They were quick and changed our plates very often during the banquet. They even offered to put the half eaten big plates into smaller ones. Last comment to the hostess though--the hostess is stupid. When we ask you where the party is held and we confirmed the last name of the party, don't look so confused. It is part of your job to know what parties are happening that day and where the tables are or which room the party is in.

DIM SUM! Mid-626, in Arcadia hood. Packed on the weekends but the wait isn't usually that long. Of course you can do the azn parent method of continuous asking about when your number will be called haha Ha Gow, Siu Mai are known to their best dishes. I would order all the usual dim sum.... meaning no fried or random off dish courses. Service is pretty decent. Clean, and pretty place. Great to bring the familia, friends, coworkers or morning after a fun night haha So if you haven't eaten dim sum before, the prices are leveled by dishes. Its around $2-6 each dish. Best to go with a group of at least 3ppl. Much more fun to order your favorite variety.

When I'm too lazy to drive to San Gabriel or further for dim sum, I come here. The selection's pretty good, the carts go around at a decent pace, and the wait is about the same as other places I've been to. If you go for dinner, their lobster pasta is quite good, as are most of their seafood dishes. They get a bit pricey though, so choose wisely!

  • Holvin L.

This is definitely one of my go-to dim sum places! The food is very tasty and cheaper compared to other dim sum places. Yeah, I mean, you'll get your basic cha siu baos, har gows, and siu mais, but hey, the food doesn't disappoint at all. There are also pretty good specials once in a while for special dishes, such as the Lobster Noodle. I especially enjoy the egg tarts because they are crispy and not too sweet. Additionally, the service is quite decent, and if you go to this restaurant often, then you can ask the servers to "customize" certain dishes or bring your desserts right out of the oven. More so, you may even get your tea fee waived! Even though the place isn't big, the wait time can reach 10-30 minutes on the weekends, depending on your table size. But of course, if you and the servers are on good terms, then you may just get some VIP privileges and be seated quickly at an excellent window table or corner where the noise level is not too high! I recommend giving this dim sum place a shot. Moreover, try going to this restaurant for dinner! The Peking Duck is amazing, and the price is still very fair for the amount of food served! Of course, you can also ask for tea (and have the fee waived if you're cool enough).

I come here once in a while with the boyfriend's family for big celebrations. I can't really say that I liked any of their dishes, probably because it's way too exotic for me. I'm not a picky eater at all but we had a gigantic soup bowl full of CHICKEN FEET for goodness sakes! If you're up for trying some strange foods, this is the place to go. But it's nothing special in terms of taste.

This place has quite yummy Dim Sum. It is my family's 'go-to' place for Dim Sum in Arcadia. It is crowded and popular so the last time we went we did have to wait but the food is good. Somethings we order are ha gow, baked bao, shu mai, and turnip cake. Their baked bao is really yummy with a sweet soft outside and a warm and flavorful inside. The Dan tat (egg tart) is very yummy too. I personally don't like the turnip cake that much though. One of my other favorites is their sticky rice.

Came here for my grandma's birthday. I''ve been to a couple other dim sum joints, they were all mediocre. This place can get hectic during busy hours but the wait wasn't that bad. Started out with the rice porridge, was good. Then came the dim sum . The dim sum here is really good compared to other dim sum joints. The quality tastes fresh, Don't know what they're called but the tofu, tripe, and fishcake type dim sum were great. As were the green veggies Also ordered the beef chow fun and crispy pork chops. Awesome. The best part is we had a ton of food and the bill came out to only $60! That's cheap considering all the food we ordered. I like the cost to portion ratio of this place. Thumbs up.

Food: For pretty good dim sum, this place is a good choice. They have a good variety of classic dim sum dishes that actually taste good. There everything we asked for was available. Some dim sum places actually don't have some popular foods! The dishes still come around in the rolling carts. This to me represent genuine dim sum, unlike a lot of the new-age dim sum restaurants where you have to order it when you sit and they bring out all of your dishes. Service: The service is pretty good...until it gets packed. That's when they pretty much start going full-on-Chinese-restaurant-service on you. You are ignored, treated impatiently, everyone's yelling, and only when you are trying to calculate, write out the tip and total amount on your credit card payment do they stand right above you (just staring at you) until you finish signing your check. To give them a little more credit, it does seem like they try a little more to please the customers once we've paid the bill, like making sure we have enough to-go boxes and bag (I think they were just trying to get us out of there quickly.) Important Note: On weekends, get there by 9. It's insane if you try to get there any later. We left at 11:30 and we could barely squeeze out the door! Final verdict: If you come early, this place is worth the food. If you come late.......be prepared to deal with the craziness of Chinese people trying to eat their dim sum!

This was the first good Dim Sum I had the pleasure of enjoying. I went with a chinese friend the first time and it made things really easy, as he knew what to order and how to get around ordering it. If you're not familiar with how it works, this place can be terrifying and you might end up having a two star experience. Otherwise you just man up and point to things hoping that it tastes as good as it might not look. Things are foreign and the saying that the only thing with legs chinese people wont eat is the table and chair. So give it a chance and try the chicken feet, or try the pig feet and you'll be pleasantly surprised. but without fail you really should partake in the siu mai, the radish cake, the park bits and the egg bread (or w.e) its called. I'm a fan of the porridge but be adventurous and with a place like this you'll be rewarded more often than not. And even if you dont like it, now you know! TL:DR - they usually don't speak much english. be adventurous. try the 4 things i mentioned above in paragraph 3 and work from there!

I've been to many dim sum restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley through the years. Most restaurants are very good and yet I found a couple of them were just meh. Full House BBQ To Go Restaurant is one of those places with dim that is not exactly the greatest or the worst, but right in middle. What made up for the "just okay" food was the staff who did an excellent job taking care of us. The staff, who understood English very well, were more than happy to assist our table. They were very attentive from the time we were seated, throughout the dining service, and towards the end of our meal. It wasn't polished service, but it was good enough. The water came when I asked for it and so did the forks, the hot tea refills, etc. I especially liked that we didn't have to wait very long to get the check and the change either. I also liked that every single roving cart bee lined towards our table as soon as we were seated. I was able to order a lot of the more well-known dim sum dishes very quickly yet when my friends asked me to look out for their must-have dim sum items, it never came around although I did noticed from the other tables that it was available. So my recommendation to you when dining at Full House is to grab as many dim sum items that you want when the cart is right in front of you, because it's likely that carts may not come back a 2nd time around. I was able to find two exceptional dim sum items among the array of items that we ate. My absolute favorite dim sum item at Full House was the Char Siu Bao. It is one of the best Char Siu Bao that I've ever had in the San Gabriel Valley. I liked that the pastry was so incredibly flaky and little sweet. The pork filling inside was magnificent too. There's a tad of savory gravy in it, which made this delicacy taste so yummy. They also serve very good version of Spicy Chicken Feet that I absolutely enjoyed nibbling on. It had exactly the right about of spicy heat; very flavorful. Be persistent when you order this exotic delicacy, because the staff will question you whether you really want it or not when they see that almost everyone at your table is U.S. bred. Surprisingly, Full House BBQ To Go Restaurant is no where near Baldwin Avenue where the majority of the Asian restaurants are. This place is tucked in a mini mall deep in the middle of an older neighborhood in Arcadia. Expect a cash only form of payment and if you need it, there's an ATM next door to withdraw more cash. Seating is first come, first served. Simply make your way to the front desk, place your name on the waiting list, and wait to be seated. I heard that there usually is a wait for up to one to two hours on weekends. My friends and I were lucky to be seated within twenty minutes on a Sunday of all days of the week. Perhaps luck was just on our side for a change.

If I am craving dim sum when I'm out in Arcadia, I will come here. Since the interior is not too large, some of the items are not available in the carts but there are servers who carry trays out from the kitchen with a few of the dishes. I was looking for a certain dish, and one of the servers (who was pushing a cart), helped flag down another person with the cart for the item I was looking for. That was really kind of her! She did it all with a smile and no attitude. Food here is definitely authentic Cantonese. They offer a few dishes that other dim sum places do not serve. Other dim sum places don't offer a few of those dishes because of the time and work that it takes to make those items. Service is great! Just that the parking can sometimes be a pain, especially on a weekend.

I've been coming here for years, ever since I was a kid, so their food really resonates with me. Unfortunately since back in the days they have slowly been increasing their prices, to the point where it's actually quite a hit to the wallet to go there these days. Nonetheless, except for their price, the quality of the food is good, portion sizes are good as well, and the service/vibe is top notch for a chinese restaurant (really pales in comparison to upscale steak houses and the such though). There's really two parts to this restaurant, one is dinner and the other is dim sum. Their dinner is just way too expensive now so I don't really bother coming here for dinner, but their dim sum is still at a pretty affordable price range, at about $2/dish. Sure it's not as cheap as what you can get at the supermarket, but they have quite the variety, tastes good, and are willing to go out of their way to pick up a specific dish for you if you ask them. I encourage anyone who hasn't tried this place out yet to give them a shot, you won't be disappointed!

I eat here for the dim sum, which is served on carts. We have tried several dim sum places since moving here from Asia, and this is one of the few places that tastes like home. I especially like their har gow, egg tart and fried radish cake. The har gow skin is just right and the prawns are not overdone. If the cart you want doesn't make an appearance soon enough for you, you can order from their wait staff who are generally responsive, though on busy weekends we have had to remind them. I haven't tried their regular menu so I can't comment on it. Best time to go is on a weekday morning about 930am. Dim Sum is perfect for a lazy late breakfast.

I've been here so many times and it's never been my cup of tea. Dim Sum here is ehh. I'd rather go to other Dim Sum places around the area and be careful if you get the Chrysanthemum Hot Tea as I found many many fruit flies floating around in there, so pay attention! Dinner is also ehhh. Capital Seafood is wayy better and you don't feel cheated when you order seafood. It's funny how the "deals" are all in Chinese, and they don't necessary give you the menu unless you ask for it. Sneaky sneaks... We ordered a lobster and they said 6 lbs was the minimum. BS. When the dish came out, it was more like 4 lbs no joke, and they didn't "show" it to us before cooking it, so how would we honestly know if that was the lobster or not? Other dishes were mehhh. There were a few house flies surrounding us at dinner so it was pretty annoying how we had to keep swatting them away. I just felt really dirty at the restaurant and after visiting the restroom I lost my appetite in a way. If you ever come here - Good luck and be careful. Stomach was okay the next day, but I'd rather pay a little bit more and go to Capital Seafood instead.

Honestly, do not come here right when they open. It's a disaster. They turn on the AC and this black stuff gets all over the eating utensils. The food has a bit of a smell, and the texture is a bit off. I'm not sure if it's the infamous first batch or just yesterday's brunch leftovers. However, it's not too bad overall. I come here often because it's right by my house. But if there were another dimsum place that was also within walking distance, I'd probably go there instead. It's very basic in terms of the food that they provide; I don't think there's an item that you can't find anywhere else. However, the people pushing the carts are always super friendly, and since we're here pretty often, we're on pretty friendly terms with them (or at least my parents are). If you want a specific item, feel free to ask one of the people to put in the order for you. Usually it takes about 10-15 minutes to make the item, depending on what it is, so if you have a particular craving, get it in when you're seated.

As most of you probably know, Dim Sum on the weekends can be a pain. You're fighting for parking spot, you're waiting for a table (even worse if you're in a big party), the service is tough, there's a language barrier with the staff at the Chinese restaurant you're at and you get the old Chinese ladies who always bump into you and fight you for the next available number for a table. With that being said, my friend took me out to try a new Dim Sum place in the 626. I wasn't too disappointed with Full House Seafood. It was packed but there was a quick turnaround with the tables, the staff was pretty nice and actually attentive and the dim sum at Full House was pretty good. I was a bit disappointed because none of the carts had Har Gow (shrimp dumplings). Absolutely NONE. I must of asked 4 ladies and they all said no. How can you not have Har Gow? Everything else was good though. The place was packed and looked a bit too overcrowded inside. Note: I was about to punch a couple out outside while we were waiting for our table. They wouldn't quit smoking outside right in the front of the door. Luckily my son was at the store next door and wasn't around. They luckily put their cigarettes out on the floor (instead of the ashtray a few stores down) right when my son got back. Mind you, there were a lot of elderly and kids around and these two were smoking up a storm, I would of said something to them if my son was there. If you SMOKE, take it elsewhere and don't smoke where everyone is waiting, you're likely to get yelled at by a person like me.

Finally got my dim sum fix! It was delish!! The servers were attentive and super nice.. Idk if its because the bf is Chinese or they're just trained to be nice. They were speaking Cantonese to James so as soon as they would walk away James would tell me "wow, its like they know me! I feel special!" Anyway back to the food.... Tried pigs blood cubes for the first time and it was pretty good. The custard pastry was hot right out the oven. N the chow mein, I am in love with their chow mein. The pork bun is a must when you visit this place! It was pretty packed for a weekday, so if you plan to come here for your lunch break be sure to give yourself enough time to enjoy your lunch. The price for each plate during dim sum is reasonable. $2.08 on weekdays and I believe $2.38 during the weekends. Definitely coming back.

I loved watching the TV show *Full House*. Randomly drove to Full House Seafood Restaurant when cravings for dim sum emerged. Yes, it was crowded inside but after taking a number from the hostess for a table for 2, the wait was about 10-15 minutes. I didn't really like the location of the table we were seated at only because it was in a place where the carts wouldn't be able to run through and being someone who isn't super familiar with the correct terminology or language shouldn't sit where they can't see them visually, lol. I also feel like they didn't really have EVERYTHING that I'm used to seeing when I get dim sum and would keep seeing the SAME items being pushed around. It wasn't until close to leaving that we saw some new things being brought out? I wanted this dumpling that was filled with shrimp and spinach or chives? Not really sure what its filled with, actually... lol. But I never know the name of it and it makes me sad. So when describing this to a lady she said she was going to get it for me. Minutes pass by and we were also asked to move tables so they could make room for a larger party... but I said we could just leave instead and asked for to go boxes. I felt bad about not waiting around for the dish I had asked about, but it was taking kind of a long time anyways and I didn't feel like moving all of our plates to another table at the back of the restaurant. I would give this place another shot... but before I do, I want to try other dim sum restaurants to see if there are better ones out near Dena.

Can't really beat the quantity of food for this price. If this same restaurant and their food was on the west side (venice/Santa Monica) it would merit 4 stars hands down. But in relation to the vast amount of amazing dim sum and Chinese places in Arcadia it's average. Go with the crispy pork and fried rice can't go wrong

Most of the food is good here, their steamed fish (清蒸東星斑)is really good - in fact it's the best I've had in SGV. Dim sum at lunch time is very good. Parking is very convenient maybe a bit wait during weekends. Service is good. If they go through a bit of remodeling I'm sure more younger crowds would come too.

This place was good I think we went a bit too late because they didnt have any dimsum left.. I was truly sad because I wanted to get dimsum that day.. But ordered their peking duck and was very delicious! I am not sure if I am remembering it wrong but when I last tried the peking duck at some other restaurant I didnt think they gave us remainder of the duck... but this place did.. although its a lot of bones the meat was very juicy and tender. The hot tea was refilled everytime we were out.. but I know we went right between lunch and dinner... and the servers were running thr vacuum while we were still eating... Besides the vacuuming the duck was a success and chinese broccoli and shumai was good too! I will have to try again and try other dishes as well!!

This is my go-to Dim Sum place in Arcadia. I come here about once a month and there has always been a wait list. The food is definitely worth the wait however. There are many options with lady's making their way through the crowded isles with their carts full of sizzling hot food.

This place is cheap during the weekdays! All dim sum was like $2.08. Of course I have had better, but for the price, it can't be beat. Good place to come with a large group to try old and new stuff...

This is a good place for decent dim sum and nice Chinese dishes. Being from Hong Kong, I am very used to the traditional dim sum served by ladies pushing all around the restaurant. I love their sticky rice, siu mai, beef and shrimps wrapped in rice noodles, black beans and garlic spare ribs, chicken feet and the pineapple buns. They have a wide varieties of food so we can always try something different each time. Their prices are pretty reasonable too. Most of the time, even with some people waiting for seats, the wait is only about 5 to 15 minutes. If you are looking for Hong Kong style dim sum with good service, look no further than Full House.

Came for dim sum with a friend who is a regular. Pros: food is FRESH. Even for dim sum with a high turnover rate the quality of the food was amazing. The char Shu bao was light and fluffy, the Shu Mai was not hard anywhere and flavorful. They also offered small plates of Lo mein that was crispy and had huge hunks of green onion and lots of bean sprouts and was a real treat. Cons: we got stuck in the back and were waiting a looooong time between carts coming by. I also felt like the selection wasn't as good as other places. They had no sugar cakes or dumpling cart. No coconut jello or those thick noodles with beef. We also didn't have great service. I asked 5 times for a coke and had to finally go track down the owner to get soy sauce. Oh also, this place is a "B" for anyone who might be shocked at that. I would Def go again because it is close to my work and the quality was good. If tou are looking for a place to maybe take new dim summers this place is very user friendly bexauae you are not overwhelmed with 100 dishes. I would insist on being in the main dining room and maybe if I tried it on a weekend they would have a bit more variety.

I'm your typical guy with a insatiable appetite for dim sum and even better when it's pushed around in a cart (adds to the experience)! Full House Seafood Restaurant definitely scores pretty darn high on my score card. I usually come on the weekends and the lines are out the door! It's not an experience when you don't bump into at least a few people you know :P. The thing with dim sum is that the lines move rather quickly, so don't get discouraged because the holy grail of deliciousness awaits you. Once your number is called you're kindly escorted to your table by a very courteous host. As soon as you're seated, a waiter will come to ask what type of tea would you like. I usually get the chrysanthemum tea since it compliments nicely with dim sum. Now that the wait is finally over you can start exploring what every cart has to offer. I usually aim for the ones that are in metal looking trays. The Har Gaw and Siu Mai are usually my top favorites. The BBQ pork buns are to die for! It's like an explosion of flavor when you ripe the buns in halves. The BBQ pork covered in oozing red sauce steams with perfection. What I'm impressed with the most is that all of the food comes out fresh. The service is impeccable and the store manager Mr. Choi is a genuine guy with a desire to make you feel like home. This has been a long and overdue review. All I have to say is great food, great service and above all authentic atmosphere!

Two reviews incoming, one for dimsum and one for dinner, but first some exceptionally great quick tips: 1. Located in the same lot as 99 Ranch supermarket on Duarte and Golden West 2. Dimsum starts early and ends into the afternoon; if you're craving dimsum at 1:30 you can go, but remember that selection will be more limited. 3. The dinner menu is supplemented by a specials menu of dishes that are $8.99 a plate. 4. The dinner menu is also supplemented by extra value dishes that are limited to one per table. I.E. The lobster over Italian noodles special that costs $9.99 cannot be combined with the Roasted Duck special that costs $13.99. It seems that I've been more on a historical trek through my eating adventures in the SGV. Anyways, Full House has been in my family's history for the better part of the last 15 years and only recently we have started eating dinner here too. Dimsum Review It is tough to get in here after 11:00 AM on a weekend. It is for a good reason too! If you're having trouble, try getting in earlier around 10:30 or later around 1:30. Most of their dimsum offerings are very tasty, come out hot and fresh, and are not too salty or oily like a lot of other places I've been to. There is not much to say here other than to try a few certain selections: the siu mai, the hagao, the small pork spare ribs, the chicken feet, the sticky rice with chicken, the turnip cake, the rice sheets with shrimp (also comes with beef or scallops), the fried oil stick wrapped in rice sheet (one of my favorites!), and the tofu sheets wrapped with veggies and meat (Also comes meatless!). I think the only thing I would tell you to avoid is the cold cut meats that they have. While the pork with crispy skin is pretty yummy, it is incredibly expensive. I think it's better to head over next door to the food court and find the barbeque place that they get their meats from and buy a $5 rice plate that includes said barbeque and rice! Anyways, dimsum is pretty awesome and done right here, though during peak hours on the weekends it gets busy and loud, and the dim sum ladies get pushy and aggressive. The service takes a dive for the worse here as people will forget things that you've ordered, But, that's how dimsum is! Dinner Review This place is amazing for dinner. Amazing value and amazing food, and quite the amazing service as well. It seems as though this place undergoes a transformation at night. During the day, dimsum service is a loud, noisy, and crowded affair where you're likely to have incredibly pushy service from the dimsum ladies or being ignored by the waiters and service people. The amazing value comes from the specialty menu that has a bunch of dishes for $8.99. Of note on the menu is the fried green string beans! They are incredibly fresh and do not have the old toughness of veggies that a lot of restaurants seem to think can still be served. Anyhow, there are plenty of items on the little red menu, but the only catch is that you need to know how to read Mandarin. Also, they don't always give this specialty menu with their set dinner menu, be sure to ask for it when you sit down if you don't notice it. The second amazing value comes from what I call their extra value specials: the lobster over Italian noodles and the roast duck, $9.99 (dine in with purchase of additional dish, $13.99 takeout) and $13.99 (dine in after 5 PM) respectively. This place is over the top goodness. The italian noodles have been stewed in the lobsters juices and the lobster itself is always perfect cooked. Not rubbery whatsoever and fresh. The lobster itself is about 1-1.5 pounds, but cooked to damn near perfection. The roast duck is amazing and split into two parts. Part 1: they take the skin off of the roast duck, put it on a mound of shrimp chips, give you amazingly soft buns, sweet sauce, and green onions. You make these little buns into little pockets of heaven. Part 2(a): they give you the rest of the roast duck sans skin with a little of the marination sauce underneath to let you eat! Part 2(b): for $10 more they will use the bones to make a very tasty soup. The soup also comes with the stewed duck bones, some tofu, and some veggies. I would still say that 2(a) is the best/most economical option! Anyways, they also offer crab with rice ovalettes for $10 a pound and lobsters for $10 a pound as well. The usual price for the crab gets to about $25 and lobsters can reach up to $50-$60! They also give you a free dessert! Usually sweet green bean soup or tapioca. A great way to end a lovely dinner. As for the service, I want to commend them for their dinner service. They start by giving you heated towels to clean your hands and then they do two step serving: a dimsum lady takes the dishes from the kitchen and a waiter/waitress serves the dish. I have never had problems getting their attention. I have to say Full House is probably my favorite sit-down family restaurant in Arcadia. I hope you try it out!

Visiting my sister in Pasadena means new restaurants to explore! Of course my inner Asian screamed dim sum!! Yelped this place and as soon as we get there, obviously a mob of people waiting outside. It's located in china, I'm pretty sure, with all the Asian markets and Asian people there. Haha jk. But seriously my mom would be head over heels in love with this place. Parking is plenty. With the amount of people waiting, we didn't wait as long as I had expected. Once we got inside, it was obvious why. The place is humongous! It looks like there are two sides of the restaurant when you walk in. We got seated on the very very right of the restaurant. Even though we got seated quicker, we paid the price. The space between are table to the next table was too narrow for any of the carts to go though (oh yeah, wanted to do it the cart way!) so we literally would have to stand and walk up to the carts to see what they were carrying (English was definitely not the primary language here). I have to give it minus one star for how the tables were situated. I'm sure if we sat somewhere else, it would have been 5 stars. But it shouldn't matter where you sit! The experience should be the same! That being said, the food was actually really really delicious. It was well cooked and the flavors were all there. It wasnt too greasy like a few places I've been to have been and the prices are amazing! Best part of this restaurant! I think each dish was like $5 average. I hope to try this place again and hopefully at a better table!

Service: We were seated quickly, tea was given promptly and they did the perfect amount of check ups. Our food came out super quickly (even though it seemed relatively busy, so we appreciated that. The serving staff was extremely friendly and had a little bit of chit chat with us which gave us a very welcoming feeling. Price: I'm not from this area, I'm from the bay area - so I can only compare with what I know which are bay area prices. The dishes here are not pricey AT ALL. Peking duck just for $13.99? It's like $20-$25 dollars up in the bay! Granted it was a tad bit more salty than I would've preferred, it wasn't bad at all! We also got a prawns dish and a assorted mushroom dish. I tend not to have high expectations at Chinese restaurants ever...just from experience when we order prawns dish there's always only like 4-5 with the rest being vegetables - or when we order a assorted mushroom dish, it's always the same two type of mushrooms with 3-4 pieces of other types of mushrooms BUT HERE, our prawns dish was a PRAWNS DISH. Like it was 50% of the dish...that's amazing. Same with the assorted mushroom dish, there were an equal amount of 4-5 types of mushrooms! Wow. Place: It a very roomy and comfortable place to be at. I wasn't too squished. And the lighting was just right, not too bright or too dim. The restroom wasn't like squeaky clean but it was alright, the handles extremely small...I don't know why. Overall, I had a nice experience! I'd definitely recommend this place to my friends and if I'm in the area again, I'll definitely stop by!

The only thing I really appreciate about this place is the location. I've been here about three times and I think the food is okay, not spectacular and nothing disgusting.. it will satisfy. WAIT: 40 minutes, noon on a sunday ORDERED: - chasu bao - shu mai - bok choy - stewed pork - noodles - hagao SERVICE: My party's table was in the corner, and the carts forgot about us for about 40 minutes. REASON WHY I WONT GO BACK: When I used the bathroom, I noticed a worker rinsed her hands and dried them off... and then went back to serving soup. WTF?!?! LAVATE LOS MANOS! USE SOAP! YOU ARE HANDLING FOOD! Gross!!!! I would give this place two stars for my experience and three stars for the food.

It's been a long time since I've been here. It wasn't the go to place for dim sum for me before. Since there ain't anymore dim sum restaurants in Arcadia, I've given it another try. Food quality definitely improved!

We've still been coming here after all these years and we always order the same thing. The clams are probably my favorite because they're huge compared to other seafood restaurants I've been to, and they usually taste fresh. Plates are swapped fairly often for clean plates. There are a number of television sets for people to watch (everything shows the same channel though) which could be a downer if you want to spend family time here, but hey, everyone's on their phone anyway these days. Their red bean dessert is good as well.

Full House's BBQ is my go-to place for Chinese takeout because it's one of the few restaurants in Arcadia where I can get roast duck, cha siu, and roast pork all from the same place. Better options exist outside of Arcadia, but I'm not always willing to make the longer drive to SG or MP. This restaurant serves a good selection of traditional dim sum dishes, (almost) all at a reasonable price. Some of the meat dishes that come on the larger plates may look tempting, but avoid ordering them, unless you're ready to pay extra. We didn't realize this as we ordered the roast pork, which was decent, but for $8, I've definitely had better. Dim sum was so-so overall. Most of the dishes were lukewarm and consequently, the dim sum wasn't that great. Oddly enough, the highlight of our meal was the chicken feet, normally our least favorite dish at dim sum. There was plenty of skin and tendon to devour, and we virtually inhaled the sweet, succulent sauce. The har gow and siu mai were fairly good, the egg tart and sesame bead balls were okay, and the spareribs and cha siu bao were forgettable. Out of all the dishes, the lo bak go was the worst. Almost no daikon pieces were present and the cake was too mushy. Only when dunked in soy sauce could the tastelessness be masked. Had the dishes been steaming hot, I'm certain that everything would have tasted a bit better. I think the workers were just done once the clock struck 2. Finding the dishes we wanted grew increasingly difficult as the carts began to move around sluggishly. One lady walked past us several times, offering har gow to the other tables before finally answering our request. Couldn't tell if this was intentional or if my party was just that inconspicuous; I'm hoping it was the latter. My friend was a bit agitated that the chili sauce had to be constantly requested, since they wouldn't give us additional plates of chili sauce. Service wasn't a total bummer though. One waiter was nice enough to refill our teapot almost immediately after we had flipped the lid. On weekends, this place becomes a crowded, chaotic mess and parking is a nightmare. Dim sum is standard, perhaps even subpar, and service isn't the best. Full House gets three stars only because their dim sum is cheap and they have good take-out food.

Service?? What service I swear I felt like I had to jump up and down waving my arms just to get the waiters attention. Food is whateverz we just came cause my bf likes their eggtarts that's about it. I like 888 better if you ask me.

  • Jacqueline C.

It's close by, it's cheap, and its good. Yum. The dim sum is always good and the service is always nice even though they're not the most social of people. The food always comes out hot and it always arrives in a flash. When it is busy it is a little harder to flag down some of the carts with your favorite dishes so that would be my only complaint.

  • Sarah K.

I've been here twice now and both times have been a good experience. The only downside is that the waitors and waitresses don't speak English so it's difficult to ask for specific things or even to get them to come to your table. So, if you don't speak Chinese, just know that you're not going to get the service you want. But the upside to this (positively thinking) is that it seems more authentic and reliable. How can you go wrong at a dimsum place run by native Chinese people? But other than this inconvenience, I enjoyed the dishes here. My favorite dishes were the shrimp rice noodle and sticky rice in lotus leaf. They were delicious! I think the food here is on the greasy side, but good nonetheless. Next time I come, I will definitely be trying some vegetables.

I come here for dim sum once in a while since I live in really close to it. The only thing i hate about this place is the wait. I dont think even think the wait at 888 is this long. The food is alright. Nothing too special to make me want to come back.

Decided to finally trying this place after being distracted by trying other restaurants in the Acadia area and been dissapointed and dissatisfied most of the time. This place, I LIKEY. This has the traditional dim feel to it due to good dim sum, reasonable prices and the types of selection that a dim sum restaurant should have. Not excessive with crap that people don't like byt have enough of types of dishes that you would expect and being pretty sure it's affordable. We'll not personally to us as rude as yelpers had stated in their reviews, but there is a factor of that, but isn't part of a real down to earth chinese restaurant you would come to want sometimes??? The realness...lol??? As long as not too rude. Overall, good food, price, and service. Will come back. By the way, the preserved egg porridge has no preserved egg in our bowl, and that is a NO NO NO NO to me, the king of food. C'MON, preserved egg is NOT expensive. Restaurants that serve this porridge should give a whole egg on the side as well as having it in the porridge. But the pork in the porridge was excellent, it was very well cooked and soft. Not the hard pork that's usually found in this dish. (The stringy type.. gets caught in between teeth.

Came here and was seated right away. That's when the waiting started. For a Dim Sum place with all these ladies floating around, I was still completely ignored. One of the cart ladies actually talked to the guy next to me, asking whether he wanted anything else. When he said no, she looked at me for a second and left without a word. I had nothing on my table. Wouldn't it have been courteous to at least ask if I wanted something? After about 10 minutes of being ignored, I just left. I won't be coming back to this place.

Such a crowded restaurant!! Chairs and tables litter the room haphazardly, and people are constantly being pushed or pushing against your chair! Somehow, we still get some service from the carts and people walking around with the trays of dim sum...And the mob outside is just plain scary! Totally "traditional" red and gold decor, place seems slightly outdated and the chairs slip around due to the red/gold slips. Anyway, lets hear more about the food: Ham sui gok: This fried sweet rice dim sum with the meat filling was only okay. I've definitely had better...the skin was much too thick and there was little to no filling. I'd go elsewhere if you are looking for this delicacy. Gau choi bang: Veggie fried bao...sorta. It's good and surprisingly not oily. Bean curd wrap: Bean curd wrapped with veggies...a good dish. Sauce turns thick when cool, so eat it fast! Gai lan: Veggie dish...takes the lady FOREVER to make, so it's sorta awkward to have her standing over you for a good 5 min doing whatever she's gotta do. Veggie itself is so-so...a bit watery from the blanching. Lo bak go: Radish cake...isn't as fragrant or crispy as I'd like (NBC has some really good ones). A bit on the gummier side, but still not bad. We had several other dishes as well, but nothing crazy amazing that gave me a party in my mouth. Strange how we got all these dessert carts when we first got there, but none when we actually wanted them!! Sadness :( This place is all right, but honestly I'd rather go NBC.

I think this is it..... a place that I will think of when I want dim sum. Love that they've got SO much selection, I've never been to any place else that offered this much. It is hot and delicious... I mean literally everything. Absolutely love: pork+shrimp shumai, pork spareribs in black bean garlic sauce, chicken feet, and shrimp with spinach (sounds weird at first but this is actually really good, good flavor) We ordered 12 things, bill came $28 + $2 for tea. Super inexpensive!

Dim sum is just ok here. The portion sizes are extremely small and most of the dishes taste like they've been sitting out for hours. I prefer the dim sum elsewhere for sure, but their fried stuff is quite yummy! They also have boba, which is kinda neat, although it didn't look very appealing because again, the drinks look like they had been sitting out for quite awhile. Eek!

When I visit this place, it always stirs up great memories of my first job out of college. My former boss introduced me to dim sum by bringing us here for lunch. I left the ordering up to her and everything we had was pretty great. Shrimp har gow Chinese broccoli Egg tarts Shrimp rice noodle Mango pudding I'm a sauce person. Everything is steamed, so I'm constantly asking for extra sauce and mustard. This place can seem chaotic when it gets really crowded. The women with the carts can be a little pushy, as Asian women tend to be. Chicken feet lady was one of them, which made me and my boyfriend a bit squeamish. Check please! Come early if you want to get seated right away. Also, the dim sum tends to be fresher. This is probably not the best place to come hungry. Once you are seated, your impulsive, gluttonous side will try to take over.

Horrible experience. Black rice coconut cake is sour. Call me unenlightened but given my so many years dim sum experience, this is a first time. The lady pulled it from the bottom layer of the truck, uncovered. Dark dust sort of thing all over the cake. But the most unbelievable part is my boyfriend. When I told him I think the cake was bad, he said it's supposed to be sour. Luckily after we called the waiter, he acknowledged it's turned bad and told the lady to not sell it any more. One star is for him.

"Shout out to asian girls, let the lights dim sum." Don't have to be an asian girl to enjoy the dim sum here. Just be aware that there's definitely going to be a wait on the weekend and that the parking lot is packed with old people that shouldn't be driving. Service isn't bad. I mean they're not going to talk to you or go out of their way to help you, but they'll get you what you ask for. You just gotta hound them down while they're running around. Also, this place charges for tea! They used to waive it for you, but now they dgaf who you are.. you're paying for tea. So, let them know ahead of time if you're not going to be drinking any and get some cheap boba instead. All in all, love the dim sum here. Gimme sum moarrr.

Uhm, coming from a traditional family I know the mindset of the workers here. If you're not Asian or "of-age looking" or even if u are Asian but do not speak in Canto or Mandarin, you will definitely not be taken seriously as a customer and will be seated in the area that is most commonly skipped over by the push carts. I've come here multiple time with my mom and alone with my friends and I've also paid attention to the experiences of patrons around me at the restaurant to prove this theory true. Today, one the waitresses had the audacity to complain we gave her an extremely poor tip. Hunny, you were about to receive NO tip originally for the plain fact that I had to get up and get my own water, walk up to each push cart on my own to receive/order food (one dish never even arrived) because we were ignored otherwise and the same goes for getting our to-go boxes. So excuse you booboo and your attitude. I don't care if it's a culture difference. This is not how you run a business. By the way, tip, let alone a GENEROUS tip, is EARNED not owed.

Worst dim sum ever. Heard this place was okay so I decided to give it a try but.....there won't be a next time..., Ordered a few items, nothing good: Siu Mai: too fatty Rice roll: cold, nothing special Leek Shrimp dumpling: had two bites; slightly warm, RAW shrimp and UNDER COOK dumpling skin, dumpling skin was powdery white rather than clear white, tasted and looked nasty Spare ribs: lack of flavor and full of fat, it's like 75% fat and 25% meat Bean curd roll: cold and lack of ingredients Baked pineapple buns: cold, tasted ok Parking: parking lot Price: $2.08 weekday and $2.38 weekend Service: staff are generally nice Won't be back, food is terrible and don't want to get sick... I'd rather drive a further and pay a little more for better dim sum...

Came here for dim sum on a Monday morning. This is our first visit. Two of us sat there for almost an hour and our bill only came out to be $10.00 Why? Because we only ordered like 2-3 dim sum items! There were barely any carts going around. And when they go around, they don't even pass every table. Also service from the waiters/waitresses was almost non-existent after they seat you and bring you the tea. And the ladies running the cart aren't very friendly either. So we just stopped out dining at the third item and left to Din Tai Fung.

My dad was craving peking duck, and we were in the area. So we came here to eat dinner. All we ordered was the peking duck and the crispy rice soup. My mom wanted to try the duck and the quail. They both look delicious. But my dad insists on us not getting either. And just the peking duck. My mom gave in eventually and was like "fine fine, get whatever you want." Dont get in between a man and his peking duck is what my dad was probably thinking. So, they only sell the peking duck as a whole duck. Its like $13. I thought it was pretty reasonable. Considering that its like 2 dishes in one. The skin was kinda fatty, but i would think its pretty hard to find a duck thats actually not fat. It tasted exactly how I've always had it. So it was pretty good. The soup, its called crispy rice soup. I didnt read what they called it in english. It was interesting. The soup was light and refreshing. The shrimp was meh. chicken was meh, but the carrots, WHOA WHOA WHOA! Fanciest pieces of carrots i've ever seen in a chinese soup! Hahaha Total was like $27 bucks. Soup is expensive because its meant for like 5-6 people. In conclusion, decent place, typical traditional style Chinese restaurant. The seat covers are good touch. Makes the place feel festive. Like someone is always getting married. Hahaha. So check it out.

I was hankering for Taro Snow Buns and decided to visit this Cantonese restaurant with fellow Yelpers Anthony N, Lei B, and Sophia N. The weekend crowd was flowing out the door packed with dim sum enthusiasts. White table cloths, lazy susans and small squared tables filled the large dining hall, leaving little room for the dim sum carts to maneuver across the room. There was a cooking show airing on the overhead flat screen TVs, adding to the festive atmosphere and many people's intrigue. We were fortunate to find a table upon arrival, skipping ahead of large families for the last remaining squared table that stood alone by the entrance. Except of the Broccoli ($5.95), each item cost just over $2 on average. We shared an order of Steamed Pork Spareribs, Steamed Broccoli with Hoisin, Tofu Skin Roll with Pork and Veggies, Shrimp Rice Noodle, Shumai, Deep Fried Taro Dumpling, Deep Flour with Fried Pork or Haam Sui Gok, Chinese Donut Rice Noodle, Shrimp with Eggplant, and two orders of Taro Snow Buns. Overall, the taste was not on point as some of the subtle ingredients were missing. For example, the Pork Ribs was too fatty and could use black bean sauce to inspire more flavors. Some of the dishes were already cold by the time it reached out table, such as the Broccoli. The Chinese Donut was over fried and staled and the textures on the rice noodles were way too soft, breaking at the touch of my chopsticks. Anthony also ordered a Boba Milk Tea (99 cents) and even though he was hungry he didn't like it at all. The best part of our meal was the Taro Snow Buns. They were soft, sweet, and filled with taro paste to accompany the spongy texture of the bread. It was the only highlight of the meal, along with the company as we had a great time hanging out for the rest of the afternoon. To me, their dim sum was clearly mass produced due to the demand, but what I did not like was the pushy service protocol that was aimed to up sell their items. I also did not like the fact that they charged everyone $1 for the Oolong Tea, and in spite asking for Shrimp Dumplings several times they never came back to us with an adequate response. In a respectful way, service was simply one hot mess. For a large dim sum restaurant, this place can't even compare to some of the fast food dim sum hole in the walls that I've discovered in the past. I would only order their Taro Snow Buns again for takeout if I ever come back. 1.5 stars for the overall experience.

Take Out Nightmare & Rip Off! I called in a take out dim sum order on Memorial Day and will never patronize this restaurant again! I called in my order and asked the staff member to confirm my order. I was told it would take 20 minutes but when I arrived approximately 20 minutes later had to wait another 30 minutes for my order. They were out of a particular dumpling and instead of providing another type of dumpling that we hadn't already ordered, they just substituted for something we already had. We took our dim sum order to friends in Placentia and when we unpacked it, 2 items that were favorites were missing. I went to the restaurant the next day to tell them they forgot items in our order and was told I should have called right away when I noticed it so they could confirm it was actually on my order. I responded that I confirmed my order when I called it in. Why would I call right away when I'm 45 minutes away in Placentia and I know they are ridiculously busy? I think it's strange to have a policy that requires you to call right away when something is missing from your order. Does this happen frequently? Obviously, customer service is not important here. She never offered to refund my money or give me the missing items. This doesn't happen when I take out food from Din Tai Fung. Fortunately, Arcadia has plenty of restaurants that serve dim sum so I will never have to come here again!

This review is for takeout only. For dim sum, I would head to Elite. This is my go to place for lobster...they have the best lobster noodles...perfect buttery sauce engulfs the soft noodles and the lobster is so perfectly cooked, it just melts in your mouth. I also love the Jumbo steamed oysters in black bean sauce....they are HUGE!! Shrimps in sichuan sauce was good...had a nice kick to it, not too spicy and simply made. Overall, whenever I am in the mood for some yummy lobster and don't feel like eating out, I order these dishes and go home for one the yummiest dinners! If you want to do take out, order ahead; otherwise you will be waiting in the restaurant for 30-40 minutes.

Dim Sum wasted. I'm shwasted. I wasn't really wowed or surprised by anything, but nothing was offensive either. The taro buns were surprisingly good however. There has got to be better dim sum somewhere else.... Where the eff is the Har Gow? It is a dim sum standard and we could not locate one to save our lives. We saw some little girl have it and I wanted to steal it from her. *snatch* It was just okay...

I have no idea what any of the stuff was that I ate, but all of it was good! It is very very crowded though and there is usually a long wait. We put our names down, left for an hour and came back, and still had to wait. Not a place if you are in a rush. I was lucky enough to go with people who spoke Mandarin, but I'm not sure how I would have fared if I had gone by myself....it's probably best to go with someone who knows exactly what to order.

Came here with my boyfriend's family for a reunion dinner with their family friends. We ordered Peking duck, bok choy, fish, honey walnut shrimp, an eggplant dish, a chicken and mushroom sizzling pot, French beef dish, sauteed shrimp, and many more. Overall, I enjoyed the food. I was a bit disappointed with the bok choy, as the taste could be improved. Service is courteous and professional.

Best priced dim sum in town. Look no further, its only 2.09$ a plate on weekdays and 2.34$ a plate on weekends. If you don't see what you want on the carts just ask for it and they'll bring it out to you. Lobster noodle is worth the price and quantity also. I've never waited more than 5 mins if its a party of 2.

The food was good. The prices were good. The surprise came at the end when we got our bill. They charged us to SIT DOWN!!??!?! That's right. We didn't want any tea so they charged us a "seating fee/tea charge"! Wow. I've never heard of such a thing. It's not like they put on a show or anything. Not only that, they were very arrogant and proud to have this fee. In short, do not come here unless you want throw your money away just for sitting down at a cramped, small table. If I could rate a zero, I would. BTW, I'm contacting the BBB after posting this.

Came here for dinner. I loved the interior - bright lights and well decorated so this is a nice place to bring guests or non-Chinese people. :) The food wasn't mind blowing. We ordered walnut shrimp and beef cubes with mushrooms. I think the mushrooms were canned rather than fresh which was a huge disappointment. The walnut shrimp was not as crispy as others. Service was very attentive - more than average!

Since just adding a tip does not allow me to give it a rating anymore, I have to repeat myself in review version in order to express my feelings about this so called highly rated seafood restaurant. First upon entering, I stood by the door and quietly viewed the menu for a takeout order. After a few moment, a waiter noticed I was standing by the door and politely came to seat me. This was around 8pm on a Wednesday night so I was happy to hear a loud chattering crowd inside (thinking this must be a good restaurant). With the loud crowd and the attentiveness of the waiter, my original instinct was that this was a great dinner place. However, after politely asking the waiter to give me a few minutes while I look over the menu, he still just stood there with paper and pencil waiting for me to hurry up and order cause he got other things to do. I found it very rude with the pressure of having to order without completely looking at the menu, especially when I already told him to give me a few minutes. Not wanting to hold him up, I ordered my default chinese restaurant food, the beef chow fun. It was at this point when I was pointed out that I needed a $15 minimum purchase to use credit card. As a solo person traveling on a business trip, I don't carry much cash. So now with the added pressure and the feeling that I'm going to look stupid for holding this guy up and then walk away not ordering anything, I decided to scan the menu quickly and ordered the next thing I saw that was a $15 plate. With the feeling that the world was tumbling down if I didn't order soon, I reluctantly chose the $14.99 house special fried rice (pic posted). I even asked the waiter if that met the minimum requirement. Long story short and to prevent myself from repeating what I already said in my tip, I'm just gonna let the pic I posted speak for itself. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words...bottom line, $15 for a plate of plain white rice with some fish flavored sprinkles on top!!! Guess it's my fault again for believing u yelp users...

This place stays busy. The best thing you can order there is the Siu Mai, which is the pork dumpling with shrimp. They're pretty huge and comes in four. On occasion, I have the chicken feet, but I don't think I'll have it anymore since it's pretty greasy and I try to eat as healthy as possible. I have always been a fan of shrimp so Har gow is a must for me as well as the shrimp noodle. The Chinese broccoli is something I also look forward to. Always fresh and is topped with hoisin sauce. If you're trying to locate the restrooms, just walk straight from the entrance and voila!

Went here to eat yesterday for dim sum, but my family always orders take-out from here to satisfy our dim-sum cravings. We got here early so there was no wait for a table. The chicken feet and the rice wrapped in the lotus leaves were okay. I also wished they would fry the radish cakes in those carts rather than have them already fried (it was a bit cold.) The shrimp and beef in rice flour were really delicious, and so were the ha gow. The siu mai came out at the end, which was a bit disappointing because were were kind of full, but I think Full House has the best siu mai. They're pretty ginormous and stuffed with meat and shrimp and mushroom. We also had some sweet fried dessert thing, but it wasn't crispy. They didn't have the custard buns or the salty egg buns that I really like. The service is quite good, but they're all so busy that sometimes you have to ask two or three times before you get what you need. (We had the wrong tea served to us and had to ask for water more than once.) The egg tarts here are also really good! :)

This place is VERY special to me.... I met my wife's parents for the first time here, from back when I was a young pup w/ the long hair, leather jacket and tight jeans to the time I asked them for their blessings in wedding their daughter in a suit and clean-cut hair. Full House has been a part of many, many, celebratory events in our lives. The food is good and very authentic. The dishes are delicious, from the lobster noodles to the clams everything is very flavorful and fresh. They also serve you awesome desserts, my favorite are the MANGO GOLDFISH... it's a mango pudding that is cookie cuttered out to be shaped like a goldfish... I like to eat it so that it looks like there's just the fish head and bone left--just sayin'!!! I enjoy the ambiance, it's nothing fancy and nothing memorable but it's warm and inviting. The tables and chairs are all the same size, they're large and spaced perfectly so you won't ever feel cramped. And although the decor is very short of contemporary, it's very well maintained. I particularly like the humble aquarium up by the front door. The SERVICE is EXCEPTION in my opion and is the major player in the 5-star rating... our waiter has served our family before and he always hustles... when our dishes get dirty he replaces them immediately... he's attentive to all our needs and is always available and willing to help in any way that he can. The rest of the staff is on the same plan. I love watching servers hustle because it shows that they care and because they care I'm happy to do my best to contribute to the positive zen that they're exhibiting. I'll probably be coming back here over and over again throughout my life.

A good dim sum place. Make sure to go before 10:30 for breakfast on weekends, after that, expect to wait for at least 45min for the first round of customers to finish. Reasonably priced.

I would usually give this restaurant 3 stars, but since my last visit, I would probably give this place 2-2.5 stars. My bf and I came on a Friday around noon. There were many empty tables, but they hadn't been cleaned up yet, so we had to wait for a bit. Their service and variety of dim sum options has decreased significantly. We patiently waited for our favorite dishes to come by, but unfortunately, we were only able to snag a few of what we had wanted. After being told they would go check for us/they were making more of what we wanted, we eventually saw their variety get less and less. Eventually, it seemed as if their kitchen had stopped producing new items, so we just gave up :( The weekends are always crowded, as any dim sum restaurant would be, so I would try to stay away! Other than that, maybe I'll be trying my dim sum luck at a bigger restaurant like New Capital.

My family frequents this place for Dim Sum and for the most part its good. The food is good and its quite affordable. I really like the Siu Mai and their Bao here. Service is OK, as the carts can get kind of into a "traffic jam," and you'll find yourself waiting a few min for the next dish to arrive. My only reservation here is that it gets crowded very fast, and the table arrangement can make you feel a bit claustrophobic. Parking is also a challenge at this location, despite the private lot. There are just too many shops within this block.

We got food poisoning from eating here. This is a neighborhood dim sum place that caters to the locals that live near by. Things here were definitely greasy, but the food was mostly acceptable. We won't be coming back not just because we got sick but also because we found a better place, Capital Seafood nearby, it's a little more expensive but definitely worth going. This place is worn out and needs a deep cleaning. This isn't a destination tea place.

Are you looking for a place that has GREAT dim sum food and it's super CHEAP?! Well, this is the place for you! This place definitely deserves more than 3.5 stars. I came here on a Sunday with one of my friends around noon time and the line was out the door. It was insanely busy (to say the least)! It was so crowded that we could barely even maneuver our way through the restaurant much less hear anything but a bunch of loud commotions. If you come here over the weekend, expect to have a hard time looking for a parking spot AND expect to wait for at least an hour (especially if you have a LARGE party). If you're coming here expecting great customer service, you can check that at the door before coming in here. What you can expect though is to enjoy delicious food without paying an arm and a leg for it. I highly recommend: +Shrimp Rice Noodle Rolls +Shrimp Dumplings (Their shrimp dumplings are HUGE and TASTY) +Fried Tofu (Crunchy on the outside and so warm and fluffy on the inside) +Pineapple buns +Egg tart (The crust was so flaky and the filling wasn't too sweet) My friend and I ordered so much that we were overstuffed by the end of it. And the best part was that it was less than $10 per person. That's right! Our check was less than $20 and we ordered A LOT of food. Very impressive!

Christmas day dinner - six for early dinner at 5:30. bill was $200 for six dishes including a 4 lbs fllounder, fresh but not live - $23+ per lb for over $100 dish! careful ordering steam whole fish. first order was cold plate appetizers - was delivered after the second dish. thankful it was not delivered before the comp dessert. ordered dream white chicken - it was not available and at first sitting - replaced with crispy fried chicken, they were overcooked just like the cha siu, totally dried out. the best dish was a simple Japanese tofu and mini dumpling. the place was jammed by 7. the staff was attentive. should stay with dim sum dishes.

My family has been eating at Full House Seafood restaurant for years. Usually, I do not complaint...just want to comment on one issue. I made reservations with them but we still had to wait over an hour. I would not recommend anyone making reservations with this restaurant. Their food and service are three stars, the management and reservations sucks.

The price is cheap and they do have a lot of varieties in terms of sweet and savory, mainstream and not so mainstream food. Certain things were tasty and usual but the porridge really lacked taste. Some dim sum places are really accommodating . If you ask for more bowls or suaces they're more than willing to give you what you ask for. But this place. We had four people sharing 2 large bowls of porridge, and she only gave us 4 bowls. And we have to beg for more chilli sauce every time. So was the tea. I get that chinese restaurants aren't as good at services, especially a place in arcadia. But I expect to get what I asked for when I ask for it. The price is cheap regardless and the chive dumplings are good. 50 bucks fed 6 people. i guess there's nothing else you can ask for.

short and simple: 1 star for the food, it actually tastes really great 2nd star for the cost- really affordable, basically comes out to $5 for each dish or something 3rd star for quick service as it was really packed that day but still got seated pretty quickly. This is why it's missing stars: -1 star: service was pretty shotty, had to flag someone down for every single time we needed something (and that's just even to have our waters filled) -2nd star: we got seated on the side so i had to literally get up every time to go see what the carts were supplying. sometimes they would just skip you.. annoyed. lol I'd like to come back again honestly though and just hope for a better table. Can't say that I'd leave this a 3 star place though if the same happens again. But food is good. :)

Not sure why this place is so crowded at 10am on a sunday? The dim sum is not very good, the seating is very tight, and the servers are non-responsive. Our beef tripe was disgusting (it was "sticky"), most of the food overly salty. The server took our tea pot to refill but forgot to bring it back, and then after we asked him for it, he brought someone else's. Why are the residents in Arcadia/Temple City put up with substandard food and service? I for one won't. That is why Lunasia is still my go to dim sum place, despite it going downhill as well. BTW, my stomach did not agree with the food here. It may be the beef tripe.

You know why Pheonix's are thought to be mythological creatures? BECAUSE I ATE THEM ALL. Harhar. I'm funny. JAY KAY. Anyways, I'm biased, this place maybe deserves 3-4 stars only, but I've been coming here since I was five and playing under tables while my parents ate. Also, this review is just for dimsum. Service: Its okay, but bringing someone who knows Chinese will be very helpful. Weekdays they have dimsum until 3pm but sometimes you have to ask for the items you want since there are fewer carts. Parking: Good luck in the lot. I'd park farther away and let the poor drivers fight for the front spots. Food: If you go to Dim Sum your meal is not complete unless you have these items: Shrimp Tsang Fun (Long Noodle) is my fave. Pheonix Claw AKA Chicken feet is also my fave. (Oh no I'm becoming my mother! Everythings my favorite! Eek!) Pork rib with black bean Chinese broccoli Shrimp "feet" (dumpling) Egg custard tart Just a tip! Never get the stuff they bring out on the plates/trays. Its usually higher priced and cold. Conclusion: There is so much more to try. The food here is definately not the best dim sum, but for the price and if you go early enough the sevice is good and its nearby.

Take your Chinese friend w/you... or you will be LOST... but then again, I get lost EVERYTIME I go to dimsum -_-.. and that is the reason I never go! :) Luckily I brought my trusted Catonese speaking friend, Joyce, and she led the way!!! Still can't believe I've never been here since I live so close to the 99 Ranch.. But I've been a little afraid to try all the little shops in this plaza. Despite the little entrance, Full House is a HUGE restaurant and popular too!! It was JAM PACKED on Saturday morning... So if you like to eat your meals with dim lights, soft classical music, and good conversation.. you've come to the wrongggg place. Get ready to be asked if you want a dish every 5 min.. and yes, in Cantonese.. quite loudly might I add! :) We started with the classics.. Shrimp dumplings, Shrimp/Mushroom Wontons, and Shrimp wrapped in Rice Paper. We also couldn't resist getting some Pork Buns, Egg Tarts, and Custard Bread.. and they are some of the BEST I've had (living in SF for 3 years, I really have had the best). We also got some interesting Radish Pancakes, Fried Bread wrapped in Rice Paper (??) and Sweet Tofu (yes, I'm TOTALLY making up names now).. No I'm not a dimsum expert.. but I felt the food was all very delicious.. and for the price, it was SUCH a good deal! 9 dishes for $20!!! I got to have dim sum again the next day :) I would recommend the Pork Buns, Shrimp Dumplings, Egg Tarts, Shrimp/Mushroom Wontons, and Custard bread :) Yes, I'm a carb monster! MORE STEAMED BREAD PLEEEEEEEEASE!

I'm a fan of dim sum. My husband and I often come here for dim sum on weekends because it's very close to our home. Good selections and nice tastes! I love here also because of their to-go BBQ and chow fun. They are excellent with cheap prices. I've also tried their dinner once and it was nice. Just a little too much MSG, I guess, which made me have to drink a lot of water. I'm gonna try their to-go dim sum today and can't wait for that!!
