My girlfriend and I decided to come here because I was in the mood for nachos and it was pretty late so i suggested we come here. I ordered the nachos, she ordered a vegetarian burrito. These by far have to be the worst excuse for nachos I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. The portion of meat was so incredibly small.. It had about a fist full of meat, and I would understand if they were maybe like 4 or Even 5 dollar nachos but if I'm paying 10 dollars for nachos I would expect a decent portion of it. The moment I saw the nachos and how small of an amount they were i immediately regretted not going to Alberto's instead where they give about 4 times the amount of meat for a lower price The service was decent. I just dont like how bad the jip on the prices and portions. If you're looking for good quality Mexican food.don't come here.

As I'm eating, I'm just wishing we had more time to make food at home instead of having to go here. Anything would be better than here. The beans and rice were flavorless and completely mushy. About 3 minutes after they placed it into the to-go box, I ripped it open and started eating. The rice was overdone. The beans had no flavor, not even with a grain of salt. It was a two taco combination plate... Okay, the tortillas themselves weren't even fully cooked! The edges were hard and cold still. It wasn't enough meat that typical family Mexican restaurants give. $1.99 for 12 ounces and $2.75 for 20 ounces for Aqua Fresca. It wasn't cold, even with ice cubes included. They did up carne asada fries. It is honestly the smallest most pitiful amount EVER received with carne asada fries. I mean duh, fries are cheap ... potatoes... why would you give only a slight man-handful size? Fill up the appetite there! Sal isn't happy with his dish. It's like, five bites and he's done. I could not taste any authenticity here. I could barely even get it down. I wouldn't recommend this spot to anybody.

We decided to eat some tacos here because it was late it was about 1:50 they close at 2 o'clock on going in there the lady at the front had a severe attitude and reminded me she didn't really want to take my order but she was closed she was serving all her other customers beer way past time that it was supposed to be served then she was serving it in white foam cups still with an attitude she asked me what my order was so I proceeded to order 5 plane carne asada tacos one plan and a plan asada burrito and one cheese quesadilla and one little cup of rice pudding and my total was $54 when I told her that was way too expensive I don't know what you're charging me if I'm not getting any rice and beans she then proceeded with a severe attitude took the receipt ripped it up and said that she's closed and she didn't have to take my order this place is a hole in the wall they should be glad to take my money they should have been happy that people actually visit this piece of crap place with crappy employees its dirtyand they are just plain rude so I told her in Spanish because she obviously didn't know I spoke it to go to hell and she proceeded to cuss me out in front of customers in Spanish as well I actually had to leave the restaurant because I wanted to punch this lady in the face!!!!! PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE.. NASTY AND DIRTY.. AND SERVES BEER IN WHITE FOAM CUPS WELL AFTER 2 AM ...VERY RUDE STAFF.. I could believe she wanted to tell me off and not take my order..Very Very unprofessional!!! They don't even deserve a whole star they deserve half of a star...

A bit expensive but very delicious. They made me a special dish per request since I'm gluten free. A welcome change from the "perfect" atmosphere of Disney.

This place is way overpriced, they jump up their prices just because they are by Disneyland. No other place I go to around here does that. They food is not even all that. $2.98 for a large horchata really smh...

TOURISTS BEWARE!! RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!!! Ok...so let me start by saying I'm a local and it's unfortunate that they take advantage of the tourist that are here. They're prices are WAY over what a normal taqeria would be charging $3.75 for ONE taco, just down the street still in the "resort area" they are $1.35. The older server lady was extremely rude when I questioned the price since they had 2 different prices listed, obviously ASSUMING I was a tourist she said to me in Spanish "yes lady those are the prices, if u don't like it there's a Dennys next door" Then my husband wanted to order a breakfast burrito, it was 12:04 so he asked if they were still serving them and she said yes, so he ordered it and then proceeded to tell me in spanish it would be more since it was past noon!!?? Really?? Forget the fact that we were in there 10min before but as we were deciding what to order she left the counter to seat somebody else and take there drink orders. I am happy to say we didn't order ANYTHING, NEVER will....and trust me i will spread the word, tacos tijuana and Brito's have my business!!

We asked an employee at disney that looked latino for the best mexican food in anaheim as we did not eant to get in out truck and fight traffic. He suggested this place. After checking with my yelp brothers and sisters we went for dinner. Staff was attentive. Not too friendly but they took care of us. The food was OK. I had the ceviche, the litttle woman and my son had a burrito and my other son had the fried fish. There seemed to be some tastiness missing from the food. Edible but not like "Wow". I think they try too hard to have everything and in the end everything is just mediocre. If they cut down their menu and improve on their best selling items this would be an awsome place. Finally, they sure know how to charge as the total amount of the ticket was way too much. We eat out a lot and i dont mind paying for good food but this was too expensive for what we ate.

The food is truly amazing. Tasty tacos (some of them are spicy). A great option if you need to get off Disneyland property.

We came here for breakfast just before going into Disneyland and were debating whether to go to Denny's next door or Mexican breakfast and decided Mexican. I wish we would have gone to Denny's instead. I ordered the Machaca with shredded beef and my girlfriend ordered the chilaquiles. Both came with salad rice and beans. I have to say that both plates were blad with no seasoning whatsoever. The beans were awful and the rice was too much tomato flavor. We don't recommend this place at least for breakfast.

This is the worst restaurant. The front lady has the worst attitude ever. And to top it off my aunt tacos had so little meat no cilantro or onions and my aunt asked for more cilantro. The waitress gave this face like it bother her. I don't understand if that's her job. We never mistreated her or ask things rudely. I ask for a refill and she said I had to pay for the full drink. Come on is a coke. Never coming back here. Now I know why the restaurant was empty.

Curious to see how good this place was since it's busy during the evenings, I should have checked the Yelp reviews first. We ordered a carne asada burrito (meat only) & wet carne asada burrito (with rice & beans). Let's start with the first burrito. They charged $2.49 extra for meat only but they didn't give any more meat. What's the point? On the 2nd burrito, the beans - no flavor... the rice - overcooked & no flavor... the sauce - no flavor. Thank goodness for salsa... oops... no flavor. They also lacked heat. Now on to size. They were much smaller than places like Alertos, Albertos, Abertos. Now I believe in quality over quantity so I wouldn't have minded paying almost $20 if it tasted good. The meat was cooked to order & we appreciated that but it lacked in flavor. I wanted to like this place but it was really disappointing.

I used to love picking up Salsa Verde burritos here every weekend. The burritos are still excellent in my opinion but the owner of this place is running this restaurant to the ground with her poor service and rude attitude. Over the years I've dealt with her shit just to get my fix of Salsa Verde burritos but after the last few times I decided that I will no longer be visiting this place.

  • Nicteah G.

Very bad service host/server had ugly attitude. The food was not anything I expected, I ordered pozole and it had no flavor only very spicy which was not good. The meat tasted like it was sitting for over a week. My friend had the enchiladas which also had no flavor, and the tortilla tasted very old. The nasty salsa they gave me on the side was the same nasty distasteful salsa they splashed in the pozole. The only good part about this dinner was the chips and horchata.

  • Drew D.

Over priced food. It's expensive based on location only ! Food is average, nothing special. They try to charge you for things that are typically free at most places : carrots, onions, chips.

Just wanted to provide an update... I disputed with my credit card company. The dispute was investigated and Tacos Mi Pueblo sent in a receipt with a different guys name on the signature. What a bunch of idiots. Bottomline, investigation is closed, I have my money back, and Tacos Mi Pueblo has a black mark with their merchant account. Remember, don't give them your credit card.

I could have gone either 3 or 4 stars on this one. I had the standard Huevos Rancheros, which was good. I like my eggs over easy, which these were over hard, but I also never asked for them over easy, so my bad probably. Salsa was good with some spice. My main reason for the 4th star is that I had breakfast and two beers (yes, I do drink beer for breakfast). And it was under $20. Across the street where I stayed at Disney, just two beers would have topped that number. There is also a liquor store next door, which is a double bonus of not having to stop twice.

Don't go to this place, it is a tourist trap! It's right by Disneyland so the people do not know better since their looking for low prices! When we received our receipt the total was way over than the price of all the plates we ordered. The wait for your food is also way over 30 minutes, that's only when they have 3 tables going. I would give the place zero stars but it makes you give it at least one. Tacos Mi Pueblo is a waste of your money and a scam. Be careful if you choose to pay with your credit card instead of cash...

This place is pretty authentic. They're open late with good food and cold drinks. I would have given four stars but our waitress didn't even speak English and it was a little more expensive than I'm used to. Plus the menudo was nothing but tripe (I like homminy in mine), and too spicy. And they wanted to charge me a fee to use my card on an already $50 bill? Kind of dumb. The rice and quesadillas were good but that's all I can vouch for.

  • L C.

There were only 3 other tables with customers when my family and I ordered. All we ordered were 4 burritos. It took almost 45 minutes to finally get two of the burritos, and another 10 minutes to get the other two. Then when I went to pay, our server charged 75 cents extra on three of the burritos and $1.00 extra on the 4th burrito. When I questioned why the breakfast burrito listed was $6 but you charged $7...she said, "Because it's a breakfast burrito and its not breakfast." And the sign outside says: Breakfast served all day. Hmmm... I then had to wait another 10 minutes for her to finish handing out food before she could re-calculate my bill. So the burritos were not that good at all. Our carnitas burritos were more like cubed mystery meat with no flavor, and they'll charge extra if you're not paying attention! Go somewhere else!!!

  • Tim W.

Waaaay over priced, tasteless mexican food. The woman that took our order didn't even appreciate our business. STAY AWAY! We asked for another salsa after receiving 2. She told us only one salsa per burrito.....we just spent 28 bucks for 2 asada burritos, bean and cheese burrito and a small taco. No drinks! Greedy.

I go here during the NAMM Convention every year. It's cheap-ass Mexican food with no decor (unless you think a photo of a beautiful scantily-clad woman standing next to a car is "decor"), and you shouldn't expect anything else. Pros: breakfast burritos, fish tacos, tamal estilo oaxaca, and other stuff good. The salsa is excellent, and tastes quite fresh. The chips are okay. The horchata is excellent, nicely spiced. The champurrado is pretty good, not great, but was freshly made. Cons: Remember I said it's cheap-ass Mexican food. But the prices are a bit higher than one should pay for cheap-ass Mexican food. The service is hit or miss, although most of the time, the food comes fairly quickly. The jukebox in the back, which plays Mexican music, is loud even when sitting as far away in the front as possible. And finally, they charge $1 if you use a credit card. Bring cash. Still, it's a better bet than some of the overpriced restaurants that are around Disneyland and the Convention Center. It's certainly a better alternative than Tiffy's, where several tables of us waited for 45 minutes after ordering, and still never got any food despite assurances that it was "just a few more minutes" several times. How long did the food ultimately take? We have no idea. We were late for a seminar and had to leave.

kind of torn about this place. great food no doubt. and good priced. but terrible service. workers get mad when asking for anything. i called because the manager got our order wrong the last time i ate there and she gave attitude, lied to me, and hung up on me. when i tried to call back, multiple times, she wouldnt pick up. good food with terrible service, your choice. also, do yourself a favor and dont go in the bathroom.

Let me just say hands down the best food in town by Disneyland and the night crew is so friendly and chill. I enjoyed eating their every time I visit Disneyland and the food is delicious and the chips and salsa are so good and they sell beer and that's always a plus. I recommend you guys eat here , they have good prices as well!

This place is perfect for what we wanted. A local joint that the locals eat at. We saw a little Mexican food joint, with a family feel. Funky menus in three ring binders, lunch specials in plastic sleeves on the windows, a jukebox in back, and all the signs in Spanish. Yet it was clean, the staff was smiling, the service was prompt and the food was delicious and plentiful. Momma D had a combo platter with cheese enchiladas and chile rellano. I had chilaquiles with carnitas, both were delicious! We will be back the next time we are in Anaheim!

SE side of Katella & Walnut (Same center as Wonderland Liquor & Marri's Pizza) Even though this place does not offer a CM discount I would still consider myself a big fan. The lack of any discount is really no big deal... it would just be a little bit nicer. There's not much in the way of decor here, but it is still laden with vibrant colors and is peppered with booth seating. The rock a most expansive menu of Mexican favorites with various meats and veggies and service is very nice. What I have found is that the service is very attentive, but instead of being specific about what is actually needed your server will most likely keep asking "is everything fine?" If you need a refill or you want to order more then just let him or her know and that person will gladly and kindly attend to your need/s. On recent visits I've had a Wet Mole Burrito with Al Pastor: yelp.com/biz_photos/taco… which judging by the look on my server's face you could tell this was a more creative request. Most Wet Burritos come topped with Enchilada Sauce which I do like, but I just love the flavor profiles, complexity, and rarity of Mole therefore instead of having it the traditional way topping chicken I will request either a Wet Burrito or Enchiladas with this most delicious, slightly spicy, and slightly sweet sauce. A bit of a warning though... Mole is not for everyone. I find you either love it or you hate it. This burrito proved to be the perfect size. It was neither gargantuan or small so when I left I felt sated and happy. This Burrito was pretty average in price, but the portion and deliciousness is what makes it such a great value. Another item I've indulged in is their Carne Asada Sope: yelp.com/biz_photos/taco… Just imagine a Meaty Tostada on GHs and you've got a delicious Sope. The base instead of being a crunchy deep fried Corn Tortilla is instead a Masa Based fluffy yet still crunchy Tortilla like item. Once again those having one are treated to various flavors and textures that will tell a story in your mouth. Theirs is a very good deal being under $3. They offer both fountain drinks and bottles. Yes you can get Horchata here! There is plenty of parking in this large Strip Mall lot. This restaurant is one of the ones that is really close to the Disneyland Resort.

Came here during a break from doing Disneyland across the street. So, while the prices are about 25% more than what I like to pay for mexican food ($3 tacos, $9 burritos here), we were still definitely escaping the highway robbery that is theme park food. I actually really enjoyed the ambience. Very cheesy mexican hole-in-the-wall. When we ordered we were baffled at why we were charged $4 more than we had expected, but it turns out we were charged for two bottled waters instead of tap. I was about to be annoyed this was one of those places that won't give you tap water, but when I came back from the nearby liquor store (to buy beers to go with dinner that *didn't* cost $4.50 a bottle), there were ice cold to-go cups of tap water on the table where we were waiting for our food. Much to our surprise, the burrito we ordered came with egg inside. Turns out, it was a very good and delicious surprise, so I was pleased. The burrito as a whole was a delicious meal. The one caveat? This is the first time I have gotten a CHICKEN BONE in my burrito. Ai ai ai. I'd be more annoyed, but the burrito really was tasty.

When a taqueria serves canned beans, I can't take it serious. I had 2 al pastor tacos and the meat wasn't very al pastorie. My man had a carnitas burrito and he said it was a big, warm, mushy missile of food with no flavor. Oh, the red hot sauce was decent though... chips were shitty. I seriously do not understand why people from SoCal think their selection of Mexican food is any better than other parts of California, because I've yet to be completely blown away any more than the food in the Mission District of SF or even Hayward, CA. This place was fuckin gross and they charge ya $1 if you use your debit card, which I've been told by other merchants is not allowed... but, they do it here so.. yea.

I had to come back and comment on my most recent experience here. I still really like their burrito verde. But as for their service, its horrible. Ive had not so good service here in the past but always brushed it off bc i love their burrito verde. But the last time i went i was disgusted. The short old lady at the register took my order has no shame. Not only does she lack a good attitude when attending her customers, actually shes extremely rude and obnoxious. So she charges me for my order, and takes my cash, and gives my order to the cook. The cook prepared it as in standing right in front of the cook as he prepared it. Right before she packages it up to go i asked if the cook could put mor lettuce in my order. This disgusting lady grabs the lettuce with her bare hands and puts more. I had been standing there the whole time it was being prepared to have seen this old lady not wash her hands. She didnt even use gloves. So she handled my money and she using those same hands handling my food. I was so disgusted. I was so mad but didnt say anything because i didnt want confrontation. I should have though. On top of that as ive mentioned shes so rude. Im pretty sure shes the owner and acts like she can care less. Well, i dont recommend this place and hope our tourist avoid this place. Try cabos mariscos on katella ave and euclid or sabrosos on harbor blvd instead of this place. I felt the need to update my review after reading im not the only one. Im really close to complaining so that they can show them not to be so disgusting and inform them that the consumers can get sick from that old ladys disgusting ways of serving food.

The food and price was excellent. But I'm taking away 1 star for them charging $1 to use a credit card. Hellllooooo... that is not allowed by VISA/MC and they can be fined and/or lose their credit card acceptance privleges for charging. Go ahead and look it up if you think I'm wrong. Other than that, we got 2 HUGE fish tacos for $4.50, and they were delish! I'd come back again for sure... with cash.

I had my usual Carne Asada fries with a beef taco. The Carne Asada Fries came with thicker fries instead of the shoestring fries that I'm used to. The portion size was good for one person...who is hungry. The taco had a decent flavor to it as well. The overall meal was okay ...it's nothing I would go out of my way for. It would be good for someone who wants to fill up and eat cheap before they go to Disney Land.

It was late night & my dad just got off work. We decided to go out to eat... Wish we would've just gone to the GardenWalk instead of this dump, but he insisted. When we ordered, we all asked for horchata. Did the waitress ask which size? No. When she returned with the drinks, she gave us all XXL drinks.... Thanks bitch.... Strike one. I ordered a huge burrito & asked for cutlery. Yes, she forgot.... When my dads caldo de mariscos (seafood soup) came out it was a joke! Like, 5 shrimp & 2 pieces of mystery fish swimming around a large bowl. It was awful. My dad was still hungry & she never came back to check up on us. I will never go back again.

I love this place, I have been coming here for years. Lately though, it seems as every time journey back to this place I notice a price increase, and it is getting ridiculous. They have gradually increased their prices slowly over time. I love their food, especially their chimichanga burrito, which, in my opinion, is one of the best burritos I have ever had -- but I think that's all this place has going for it lately to keep me coming back. The pros about this place? Unlimited complimentary chips and salsa and it is open super late. That's all I can pretty much say for now. The service is meh at best. Try to pay with cash also, as they charge a one dollar fee to use debit, which is stupid in my opinion and I hate places that do that. Also, don't get into long engaging conversations as the random jukebox that turns on by itself playing Mexican music will drown you out in a heartbeat. Lol. If these increased continue they can count me out as a long time customer. I rather eat at Mexi-casa or Casa Gamino if I am gonna pay top-dollar.

Cheap, authentic Mexican food. Had the Chilaquiles for breakfast, (salsa verde & asada) Super bomb. Place is small and dirty, gives it that hole in the wall feel. If you don't mind sticky booths and a muggy restaurant (AC was off) this place would definitely hit your Mexican sweet spot.

Just good, inexpensive Mexican food. They have many combos priced at $4.50. With sit-down service it and a drink the total was about $7. Take out is available too. Also a good selection of bottled beer. I had #2, chicken soft taco and chicken tostada. It included chips and salsa. If you're going to go to Del Taco or Taco Bell come here instead. Not much difference in price but a BIG difference in quality.

    - Locale destination - Open late. It's rare in OC. I used to go there all the time after work with my co-worker. It's not clean sometimes, but the workers are all friendly. It's across from one of the Disney cast member's parking. It could be slow service

Love their potato taco platter (you get 3 very generous-sized tacos, plus guacamole & sour cream). I am a carnivore though so I get a carne asada or lengua taco on the side, and I'm a happy camper. Conveniently located two doors down from Curves, if you're into that sort of thing.

Went in with my Fiance and all we wanted was an order of rice as we had been here before and liked it. The woman at the front was rude, not helpful and argued in Spanish (assuming I didn't speak Spanish?) with the chef because he wanted to charge me $5 for a large side of rice. In Spanish, she stated we were tourists and they could charge us more. She walked back and announced the price for a large side of rice was $10!! I just heard them discussing it. CRAZY I will never go there again.

Found the shop at 2am still serving food. Plus one star. Ordered a taco (Pastor - idk what that is, but she said a lot of asians order it. Lol) It was very tasty but a little on the small side for abt $3. So, alright plus another star for taste . Everything else deserves to be noted on here. We also ordered the carne asada fries, which there were pics of everywhere for 8.99. When we looked at it once we got back to the hotel the size was nothing like the photos. It probably had 1 filet or less of carne (which everyone knows is super thin n fairly small). The fries was about the size of a small mcdonalds cup. And the taste definitely didn't make up for paying $9. Next we also ordered Menudo.. I'm new to eating mexican, but this is the second time I've ever ordered it, and I have to ask.. does it ever come with anything else but a big bone, and a bunch of tripe?? Besides the salsa stuff on the side and tortillas. Eh, the taste was alright... the first one I tried at a michuacan(?) place in LA was way better and half the price. So all in all, we waited a good 20 minutes (no one else was there) for 3 items all small portioned. Too expensive and no heart in pleasing the customers with portion and presentation. The lady wouldn't even give me extra napkins, just kept repeating there's some in the bag already. Had to ask for salsa too, shouldn't that be automatically given with what we ordered. Cheap establishment. Its a given I won't be coming back.

We had a long morning/afternoon and was soooo ready for lunch today! Went to our niece's volleyball tourney around the corner from Tacos Mi Pueblo and I just really had a taste for beans. My husband got me to love beans... Beans make him happy and it makes me happy too :o) I had the chicken burrito, filled with cheese, rice, beans, and chicken. It was good and really hit the spot. Hubbie had the barbacoa (goat meat) combo. It was really tasty too. Our first time visiting Tacos Mi Pueblo was around 3 years ago. It was late nite, and we had just been to a concert. My sister had to use the restroom so badly, so we stopped here. Hubbie felt obligated to buy something so he ordered the everything burrito. mmmmmm... Good stuff...

So after my friends and I got kicked out of Heat down the street from this place, we were in search of some late night food. We had our DDs drive us to this place and we were immediately seated. Don't remember much about the area, but I know it's in the same plaza as a liquor store on Katella. There were plenty of seats at 1 am. Little plastic booths that allowed a lot of people at one table. The menu came in binders and we were given free chips and salsa. The servers were girls who were dressed more like they were about to go to a club actually. Haha, sorta funny, but whatever floats your boat I guess. There were tvs all around on the walls, so those of my friends who hadn't KO'd at the table were able to keep entertained. We weren't the only customers - there were a couple of families as well, which was surprising since it was pretty late. Saw a bride and groom too. From what I could comprehend, they had a pretty big menu. Lots of different items to choose from. I didn't know what a lot of the things were, but they all were set at affordable prices. The waitress we got was nice. When I wanted to know what was in the torta, she tried her best in broken English to explain what it was. I liked what I heard and ordered it - fyi the torta has your choice of meat, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, guac, beans and is sandwiched in between toasted bread of the sorts. I opted for no beans and asada as my type of meat though. My friends all ordered different items. The ones who sat at my table ordered the following - quesidillas, 2 tamales, and a carne asada burrito. We didn't have to wait that long to for our meals, but at that point, I was starving and starting to sober up. I devoured my meal when it came out. It was freaking delicious. Maybe I'm a little biased because I was hungry and still somewhat feeling my buzz, but it was amazing. The bread it was on was freshly toasted, the asada was juicy and hot. Definitely had no complaints. The chips and salsa were really good too! Overall, I'd give this place 3.5 stars. My part of the bill was about $5. They take cards too! Well, Mastercard and Visa at least, but it's sorta rare for places like this to take cards, so be grateful. Service was okay - I'm sure the workers there would rather be out dancing as well than serving a bunch of drunks in the middle of the night, so what can you expect. The food, well, my food, was really good. Try this place if you're in the area, coming back from dancing and drinking at Heat or whatever bar/venue at the Anaheim Garden Walk.

One star for their chips and salsa, but again, there are plenty of mexican restaurants that have great chips and salsa. Food: Very nasty. Chicken tastes almost rubbery and the burritos are so messy to eat. I usually find mexican food to be filled with flavor but this place has none. Customer service: there is none. I've been here a couple of times and have yet to witness a smile or "thank you"

Went their with my cousins late at night to get some street tacos. The tacos were just OK, they needed alot of salsa to give them a flavor, but diffenatly not worth the price you pay. This place is way over priced and the quality isn't worth it. 2 stars goes to their good looking waitress but that would be it (she's not proffesional by the way) but I guess a look of a lady is more important than the food for it's type of customers ???

WOW !!! Pure garbage.. Got out of the NAMM show and stopped in here for a burrito, Taco Bell is better than this place, how sad is that ! Bottom line the food sucks and the service is worse. The Only reason there are good reviews of this place is because people do not know good food. Absolute rip off, would finish writing this but need to go vomit !

trash!!! the food is waaaaaay too far from being Mexican food, I bought a carne asada burro and it was 80% beans and 20% bad quality beef, the people in charge are soooooo rude, there no costumer service at all, plus, they charge you $1.00 fee per credit/debit card transaction, which is illegal!! don't eat here, you will pay a lot just for beans and cheese

I like this place. When I used to work at Downtown Disney, this was/is a good place to go. I live pretty close by too, so it's a good local place if you're down for some late night Mexican food. The wet carne asada burrito is ginormous. It's seriously the size of my arm - filled with carne asada, beans, rice, guacamole and chopped veggies - it's delicious. The tongue tacos are yummy too. I don't care what anyone says, tongue tacos are delicious and it is a tender meat!! Fish tacos are good, and the chips and salsa are addicting! This place is legit.

Skip the expensive food at disney and come here after a day at the park. The food is all fresh and tasty. never had anything that I did not enjoy. nice that they are open late. we are regulars here - go in not expecting more than what it is - not fine dining but enjoyable none the less!

This place is paradise for a Disney cast member getting out of work late at night on a long shift! Open 24 hours, Tacos Mi Pueblo soothes every greasy craving you could dream of. I have a staple, that I always order! It's one of their combos: 3 Potato Tacos w/ Sour Cream. Perfection on a plate. I usually wash it down with a Corona (which I usually pull out of the cooler and pop open for myself on the way to choosing a table) and a gigante Horchata! These guys also serve chips and salsa for free, and it goes quick! Their salsa has some kick to it, but it's also very flavorful. They have a huge jukebox in the back which local Mexicans are always turning on, LOUD, with mariachi music, and a big flatscreen up above it is always playing Telemundo. Last time I was here, it was Kill Bill Vol. 2, en espanol! Their waitresses don't often speak much English, but they do show off quite a bit of leg. I tend to be disappointed if I can't see at least a good 1/4 of their butts poking out of the bottom of their hoochie shorts. They speak very little English, but they're friendly, and they try, and I can't fault 'em for it. There's a fee for using credit cards, I think $0.50, and I think your transaction has to be over a certain amount, maybe $5. Oh man, best money ever spent. Cheap Cheap Cheap, 24 hours, perfect! EDIT: My boyfriend said this place is just like restaurants in Mexico, and he loved the torta he ordered. He's been begging me to bring him back!

Very good So Cal style Mexican food. It is so much better than some of the reviews I've seen I wonder if they went to the same place or know what it was that they are eating? Or perhaps there is another agenda at work? Not sure, just know the food is pretty good especially for the price.

This place is hit and miss. It's a good spot to grab take out after a long day at Disneyland. It's cheap and for the basics like chicken tacos or enchiladas...we've never had a problem. We did eat in once, and, it was not as good an experience for some reason. Take it to go...it is better that way! They had really good flan when I was there 2 years ago. I've not been back since then. Overall....it's cheap eats late at night after a long day. It's worth a try, in my opinion, because we've had great experiences too. Someone mentioned their dark parking lot and that is SO true. It's sort of scary!

This place was so legit. They didn't have a vegetarian burrito on the menu, but I asked for one and was so pleased with the result. It was stuffed with grilled carrots, potatoes and zucchini. So delicious! Pretty darn cheap. It pays to get out of Disneyland!

I ate at this place because I was looking to get lucky with a hole in the wall style restaurant. Boy did my luck run out. My cousin and I ordered their grande burritos. I had pork he had beef. We both sensed some uneasiness withing the first bite or two but continued to muscle our way through it. By the end of the meal we both were regretting our decisions to eat here. Within 2 hours later we had made a trip to CVS for some pepto. Food tasted gamey and did not sit well on the stomach. I continued to burp it up for hours after wards. Highly regrettable.

We were tired after a convention and stopped in here. There were nine of us in the party. I ordered the fajitas awaiting a sizzling hot platter. Wrong. Bland food that was passable if it cost $6 a plate but it didnt 12$ for rice beans lots of onions and peppers and a few pieces of meat. It was mediocre food. The first waitress who looked like the owner was friendly. The second looked like she didn't want to be there. We ordered water and were brought bottles at $2 a pop. Our hotel tap water was fine wonder why they couldn't bring water in a glass? My DH ordered a coke and was brought a bottle for $4 ??? Is this Disneyland. They didn't bring her tortillas for her bland fajitas. it seriously took the waitress half an hour to CHECK us out because she could not add( or something). She was rude and making comments and faces because we brought her a coupon? Way overpriced horrible atmosphere with cheap posters on the wall. Booths for sitting and old faded menus. Keep walking folks and find another place to eat!

This is another one of those mexican restaurants where you have to keep on your tastebud minds. They have a variety of items and I have many favs here, top one on my list is the Camarones de Costa Azul..... Bacon wrapped, cheese stuffed, deep fried Shrimp. Now I'm a big fan of large portions and when I first got this plate I saw 5 pcs of shrimp, I thought "I should have ordered the burrito but after wolfing down three of them, I was was expanding my belt one notch...very filling.... I think all the waitresses wear the same hair extensions and very short short skirts and extremely cute too...a plus but not necessary, I pay more attention to my food....lol.. What I love about this place is the mispellings on their menus, an adventure in itself but just goes to show you it's definitely good home cooked astmophere... oh yeah open to 3am most days 4am on weekends

got back to our hotel after our 3rd day in Disneyland -- tired and hungry -- just wanted something hot & tasty we could eat in our room. This restaurant was next door, we ordered chicken burritos, they're served with sauce on top, they were very good. lots of tender chicken, rice, beans, etc. They really hit the spot.

The good thing about this place is that it's open LATE. You can grab some late night food especially after a long day/night at Disneyland or even partying in Downtown Fullerton. From what I was able to taste, the food was decent (only had a bite of some carne asada fries) but the service was really lacking. I was only able to get a bite because they took a really long time to get the rest of our order out when everyone else was getting their food!

good authentic mexican food. kinda hot when we got in there, i guess they just opened and the AC was off, but it was hot ass hell in there. i ordered myself an asada torta, it was pretty good and filling. i liked the fact that the asada was bigger chunks than other places so that was a plus!

Cheap. Good. Open late. This was where I used to go after I got off work at Downtown Disney. They have a great selection of Mexican sodas, beers and a decent size menu. You'd probably feel more comfortable if at least one person in your party spoke spanish but they speak english too.

I'm not totally sure how to review this place. Very good for late night Mexican when take out/fast food can be at a minimum. The burritos are very good (they're served wet alongside some chopped lettuce and an orange slice) and come loaded with mean, beans and rice. The tacos, while quite large, they are served on a full size corn tortilla and stuffed with meat, I wasn't as impressed with. They seemed bland, even after loading them with lime and salsa. The service is less than stellar, the scantily clad waitresses don't come across as very friendly and act as if you're a more of a burden than a paying customer. All-in-all, worth a shot if its late and you're in the area, nothing to go out of your way for.

one of the best burritos i've had on the go. i had the tres carne (beef chicken and pork) and my buddy also noshed on his shrimp burrito. we came here after a music gig at the Anaheim Convention center and found this place. i probably go to the Convention center twice a year, so each time i'm gonna stop off here and get some grub

  • Kielly L.

Very mediocre at best. It isn't vegetarian friendly either which I fnd funny concidering that most of Mexican cuisine is vegetarian. Expensive for the quality of food too. $4.50 for rice and beans! Service was less than frienely, though not offensive. If you're hungry and really need a good meal, don't stop in here.

Located on the end of Walnut Street on Katella Avenue across from the Disneyland Hotel in a strip mall shared with a liquor store, a pizza joint and Curves. I have been eating here almost every week for the past 17 years (I worked across the street). Mostly locals eating here and they can get very busy and rarely do I see anyone eating there that is Caucasian which is a good sign for great Mexican food. My mouth salivates when I think of their tacos al pastor. It is the best pastor I have ever had (and it is hard to find pastor). All of their food is authentic Mexican and all of their food that I have tried is very good. They have complimentary radishes, spiced carrots and jalapenos. I go during lunch time but in the past I have gone for dinner and I guess it may get a bit roudy because they use to have a bouncer outside at night. They do have beer and wine. The great thing is the soft drinks and beer are in the cooler by the register so you can grab a beer and open it up while you wait in line or take it with you to a table and enjoy so you do not have to wait for the server to get your first beer. All of the staff is very nice and the prices are very inexpensive. There is a juke box with Mexican music and usually a soccer game on the TV.

wow. out of all my drunk nights in the years. i have been to this place like 3x. completely WAISTED. i love how they close so late and sold me beer after 2am. although they play wab music but i guess that the point of a mexican place. the food is great. not to pricey. and the girls that work their have nice hair extensions. they seem kinda like "oh godd i hate working here, but i need money" but they were nice.

I always feel Aquared walking in here to order food, as Im super white and stand out. I love the tacos. The meat the use is flavorfull and moist. Im a big fan of to-go, and im glad they offer it. Its a big fav with the Disney CM's as its so close and so good. If you decied to sit and be served dont expect to much. The servers aall wear low cut tops and short skirts to attract a bigger tip froom the hungry men that fill the place.

So I was totally the "token white dude" going into this place but that didn't matter except that my pronunciation of "chile rellanos" is apparently off enough that the waitress didn't know what i was asking for. Is that bad? Anyway, I tackled a burrito al Pastor and got some rellanos to go and both were pretty top notch as far as the food goes. The chips and salsa were better than most other places, but only because the chips were warm. Their salsa is decent...nothing fantastic. As the other reviewers have commented, the waitresses are um, well, a little short on clothing, but hey, to each their own. Now if they only wore roller skates! the jukebox got a little loud at times so that we had to start yelling at each other...not exactly something you want to do over dinner, but the music was fun and the beer kept coming so we had ourselves a good time. Did i mention that their menus have rainbow colored words? now that's the sign of a good hole-in-a-strip-mall mexican joint.

my review should really be 4 stars but after reading all the idiots dropping 1 star review i decided to add a star. my review is based on the chilaquiles with barbacoa i had and the service. service was awesome... we were very well taken care of. the chilaquiles were the best i have had at a restaurant. ive never had it with meat. their barbacoa was awesome. i think the one star reviews and bad mouthing are just haters being stupid. i was in a party of 5 who all liked their food... try them and don't listen to butt hurt yelpers who are negative

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.
