In-N-Out is a fast-food elitist's dream, at least mine. Fresh cut fries, made to order burgers, and a secret menu. In-N-Out earns 5 stars easily for being best in it's class, and comparable to gourmet burgers. Simplicity done right at a reasonable price. There are three meal options, all three equally delicious, that come with a fountain drink & fries. #1: double-double (two patties) #2: cheese burger #3: hamburger Pro-tips: +If you like onions, you can get them grilled, and as whole rings. Not recommended if you're on a first date, but recommended every other time. +You can add pickles to your burger. +Fries: you can can order these well-done, or half well-done if you like your fries crispier. I don't know why, but I ALWAYS eat my fries with ketchup and atleast 10+ packets of pepper...just try it. +Neapolitan shake: This always brings on the nostalgia of ice cream sandwiches as a kid. It's delicious! As their jingle says, "In-N-Out, In-N-Out, that's what a hamburger's all about!" I agree.

Double Meats Hamburger - so yum!!! Nom, nom, nom!!! Almost forgot to take a picture of it, lol! The meat patties are tender and juicy and the veggies are always so fresh. Topped with cheese and 1,000 island dressing - *drools* This In and Out is always packed, but surprisingly, they move pretty fast. I was out of the drive thru area within less than 30mins. Even less time than a Starbucks drive thru!!! Score!!! :) Not a big fan of the fries - they're so soggy and flat after one minute. Even the animal style didn't help :( Nonetheless, I dig their burgers.

What can you say about in&out other than their solid consistency on quality food? I usually frequent this location once a week or every other week during my lunch hour. A quick tip for new locals that work here, try beating the lunch rush and arriving around 11:30am. I usually order a double double and a cheese burger with whole grilled onions and chopped chilis or a #1 depending if I want fries or not. Sometimes ill decide to be a little adventurous and order a milk shake . Unfortunately the parking and drive through at this location does warrant -1 star. I often find myself having to park in the residential areas or waiting on the intersection of Atlantic and Garfield for the drive thru which can be a little annoying.

Never go wrong with In-N-Out! - Located at the corner of Huntington Dr. and Atlantic Blvd. - Parking lot is okay, considering that it is shared with Twoheys (Retro, family-friendly American diner known for burgers & hot fudge sundaes.) - Drive thru is busy all day and night! - Dining in may be a better choice, but seats will mostly be taken as well! Came here around 12am after a nice 3 hour gym session at LA Fitness with my gym rats. I was introduced the 3 x 3, instead of the double double, because my rats are meat heads! lol The 3 x 3 Cheeseburger consists of three patties and three American cheese slices. I, of course, ordered the cheeseburger meal with onions! My friend ordered a protein burger (cheeseburger; using lettuce as replacements of the buns) and the 3 x 3. As soon as our orders came out nice and fresh, my jaw dropped after seeing my friends 3 x 3! Holy cow! That thing was huge! I can only imagine what a 4 x 4 would look like! If only I took a picture to show how ginormous that thing was, it would totally justify my enthusiasm for the King's burger. lol I'll go again and order that thing just to take a pic and show you all! Maybe a 4 x 4 instead? LOL We'll see!

In N Out is delicious and great value. The drive thru line overflowed into the streets, but there is a special long turn lane just for In N Out entrance so you won't be blocking traffic :) Burgers are amazing! The burger portion is just right. Love the crunch of onions. I tried both normal and crispy fries. The crispy fries crunch just like potato chips... I like that they give you options on how you get your fries...and how they don't put way too much salt like McDonalds, but I prefer Chick fil A fries. Line was long but it moves quickly. The staff were nice and smiling, which is impressive especially when they're busy all the time.

Now this is what burgers (and service is ALL about!) I am a huge fan of In-n-Out and have never had a negative experience. The service is always great! Also, is it me, or is it a requirment to be undeniably attractive to work here??? I came here on a SATURDAY NIGHT, around 8 am. Although the the line was a breeze, the wait was torture- I was starving! Well worth the wait for my "grilled cheese" and animal style fries, though! They'll give you as much spread as you need, and never question you- God Bless their souls. Parking and seating were available for us (albeit sparse, I guess we just got lucky!) Who would brave the long wait in the drive through when you can park, get inside, grab and go?

I love this place! Burgers are consistently awesome, and you can ask for your fries undercooked or overcooked. They also pay their employees extremely well and don't have any political agendas. Their shakes are too thick, though, and it's always super hard to drink it through the straw. I'm surprised they don't change their formula. For this location, I took the drive thru and I was the last in line before their turn lane ends, and it took 22 min. Just fyi

As someone who grew up in NY and has shack shake as an alternative. To make sure I didn't have a bias opinion on in & out, I made sure I never had shack shake even thought it was 2 blocks away from my school (the original too Madison). I got the cheeseburger and animals fries. I had other burgers in New York & around the east coast. This was an very average burger & fries. It didn't meet the hype.

Great service! Staff was extra helpful, not just one but all the staff. Brought me a knife because I forgot to ask them to cut my cheeseburger in half for the kids, a couple of staff came by to see if everyone was good and then another staff came by and gave the kids the hats and stickers!

My cravings definitely won me over so in & out animal style burger with chilis and vanilla shake it is. What a delicious lunch despite of the lack of tables since it was prime time lunch hour. I didn't let that ruin my mood or attitude even though some people are so rude (hey- we're all hungry here ok!). In & out never disappoints..diet starts tomorrow.

5 stars for everything, but Aaron.... Please don't lean on my car when working the drive thru!!!!

It was my first time to this location and I got great service and a fabulous burger. I ordered a 3x3 protein style with extra protein lettuce and it was made to perfection which is something I don't normally see. Most locations will double wrap the lettuce and it will be all uneven and hard to grab but this location made it with crisp and fresh lettuce and it was even all around. They also didn't overwhelm it with sauce as usually when I pick it up it'll drop down my hand, not this time! :) super happy Thanks!

SORRY, but in the battle for the great LA burger, I am firmly in the TOMMY's camp. No chili on these burgers, and they've always struck me as really over-salted. The milkshakes are actually the best part of In N Out, plus the fries. Drive "Thru" Line is preposterous and a testament to human sloth. All those people could probably be *IN AND OUT* in half the time if they just parked and walked 30 seconds inside. SMH.

double double animal style? DUH made a mistake in going through the drive through. takes significantly longers

I've tried. I've really tried to give this location a chance to make me keep coming back, but today is the last time. A couple months ago, I ordered a number 1, animal style extra grilled onions with animal style fries extra grilled onions and an Arnold Palmer. What I got was cheese fries, and a watered down iced tea with a hint of pink lemonade. The burger was the only thing correct. As a former employee, I was not pleased, so I called corporate. They were very attentive to my concerns and sent me a coupon for a free fry AND a free meal. Today (7/6/15) I used these coupons. Number 1, animal style, no lettuce, no tomato with XXX grilled onions and animal fries also with extra grilled onions. Everyone stated and repeated my order correctly and even chuckled a bit because it's an order only most current and former employees would understand. When I got my order (to go, box with a lid) I checked the fries and they were perfect! I was so concerned with the fries, I didn't even think to check the burger. Especially since that was the only thing they got right last time. However, when I got home, I discovered a double double, no lettuce, no tomato, AND NO GRILLED ONIONS. How is it EVERYONE from start to finish can repeat my order perfectly, but the cook can't????? There are different levels of growth at In-N-Out and being a cook means you were once a cashier and were tought how to read and translate orders to the cook to achieve accuracy. That's how you get repeat customers. Alhambra In-N-Out needs to focus on accuracy again and not just clocking in and clocking out. Sad part, the drive-thru wasn't even busy.

I've come to this In-N-Out location for well over ten years. It's been a great place for quality burgers, great prices, and friendly folks. I hope today was just a one-off in terms of the rougher experience encountered. My fiance ordered her usual grilled cheese with whole grilled onion. The cashier asked if she wanted onion. The response was, yes, whole grilled onion please. The cashier then asked the same question and asked if she wanted onion with the whole grilled onion. My fiance said no, just grilled cheese with whole grilled onion. Do a significant number of folks really order onions on top of onion? I had a sneaky suspicion my experience would be similar, but I went for it: #1 animal style with animal style fries. What was the question the cashier asked? You guessed it: Would you like onions with that? I don't think she really knew her special menu items based off of that response....(for those who don't know Animal Style includes grilled onions already) By that time, another cashier stepped in to assist as this back and forth was taking far too long. Unfortunately, the experience didn't get any better. I went to the fountain machine and another staff member was refilling cup tops and I could tell she would need to head over to my section soon after she finished the other side. Thus, I made sure to get out of her way before she needed to ask; I said "hello" to her a she passed and received what sounded like a grunt back. I walked to our table, which was dirty, so we did a quick clean of it ourselves. But then I noticed about 15-20 minutes went by and all the other empty tables still had crumbs/cheese/etc on them. Back in the day, staff members would be on top of this and be engaging with customers. Anyhow, the food is still great, it's always full of people, but that special experience portion was missing today. In fact, some of the basics of service seemed to be missing today. Perhaps it's a one-off so I'll be back again to update this review.

Ummm WHAT? The customer service here is always amazing. I don't understand how anyone could complain. You get what you give. Maybe it's my Midwest charm (please, thank you, excuse me, etc.), but I always treat my food server the same way I would like to be treated. The young men and women that work here are always friendly and professional. There's nothing much to say about the food that hasn't already been said. It's good, hot, and always on time.

Every time I drive by this place, there's a line for the drive-thru. Luckily, it wasn't as bad during the weekday during lunch time. Still can't believe there was still a line...jk yea I can. I just had to come get lunch for my grandpa. He's 97 y.o. and loves the double double burgers. Venue was clean. Staff were efficient, fast-paced, and friendly. I was in and out pretty quick. Thank goodness because I hate waiting...

DISCLAIMER: you can not go wrong with in-n-out burger! This place gets CROWDED. Ridiculously slow. Not to mention their drive thru line goes well into the street. It is always busy, so don't think that if you come at a different time that it will get better. IT DOESN'T! Let's get down to business. ANIMAL STYLE always. never say no to animal style anything! cheese, caramelized diced onions and their amazing dressing. 3X3 Three patties and three slices of cheese with animal style. Just gone to heaven! PROTEIN STYLE for those of you who are watching your diet, come experience the glory of in-n-out by switching out the buns for a lettuce wrap. still amazing and your diet might thank you. ALL IN ALL What could be wrong with in-n-out? You crazy! Just eat it.

People need to stop coming here so much!!! Ah!!! The drivethru line is always so long!!! More double-doubles for me!!!! Yummy!

  • Justin C.

Does it really still count as fast food if you have to wait 25 min in the drive-thru? They need to put signs up to remind the dang customers to pull forward. I got a double double and animal fries, The burger hardly had any lettuce on it and there were practically no grilled onions on my fries! The quality has definitely gone down. The fries were so hard that the fork provided didn't even work. It is hard to justify the price of animal fries especially for just about the same cost, you could get another double double. I doubt a slice of cheese, their spread, and grilled onions is worth an extra $2. This chain is so popular that they probably don't care about the quality of their food or their customer service skills...

My go-to spot whenever I can't decide on what to eat, or when I want something that will hit the spot, or just when I want a good burger. Hell, in-n-out is the bomb. Fresh ingredients at a more than reasonable price. Gotta love it. That line though. It's the worst when you're starving and have to wait in, in-n-out's, typical loong line.

  • Rich C.

Been coming to this location for 2 years and over 40 times. Quality has been very consistent even during in-n-out rush hour. Grab a 4x3 w/ wholegrill onions - you'll love it! EDIT: Dropping a star until they wash their fithly parking lot!

I know everyone loves In-N-Out burgers but I am not one of them. Its not that I dont like them, I just dont like burgers in general. Though they make their burgers and fries from never-frozen beef and potatoes, it still doesnt taste good enough for me to like them. Only thing I like to get from here is their neapolitan shake. Its not on the menu but I am sure everyone knows this. Its just a mixture of all three flavors; vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. Its worth trying. Its very thick if you like thick milkshakes. Nevertheless, their customer service is superb! Very fast, kind and attentive! Drive- Thru is always busy and its kind of pain in the butt to get in and out of this In-N-Out especially because of how Atlantic and Garfield streets are. If you get out of the main entrance, you cant make a left turn on Huntington Dr. Its only possible on Garfield Ave.

My grandmother & I used to grab a #1 each here just on a whim! The crew always has been simply nice! They knew us as we pulled in drive thru over the years, this location has wavered & the burgers have not held to the standard as before! The fries have suffered & I'm sorry about that. I'm looking forward to my return to this location.

I often visit here midnight snack of drive-through . Hamburger simple, or onion -filled , is simple in or without . Potato is quite delicious , also comes with juice and ask the combo . I will always order by change in strawberry shake . I recommend to everyone . Here because until 1:00 midnight , I will come in handy pretty .

very cookie-cutter In-N-Out Burger like the rest of the other 299+ locations in the Western region of the United States. Great burgers, great fries and even better shakes! Only reason they are getting three stars here is because there's not enough parking spots for customers and the drive-tru line is crazy, like almost 40 minutes waiting time on weekend evenings.

    (3)
  • Geoff W.

The best burgers around. I order my fries light or extra crispy depending on my mood. A black-and-white shake half chocolate half vanilla and a double or triple triple animal style, no tomato does the trick.

I love in n out, but this location is too crowded. They always take forever. I always ask for my burger well done and never get it that way. Yesterday i passed by drive thru... Service was whatever. They got my order wrong. I asked for a cheeseburger well done without onions... I got a cheeseburger no lettuce ughhh instead of going in to get my correct order i decided not to waste a half hour and just go home. I paid for a cheeseburger no onions, WELL DONE. Not coming back.

Who doesnt love In-N-Out. Even as a vegetarian i love coming for the grilled cheese and animal fries! My only issue with this place (ive notice this happening at this location more than at any other) is that my grilled cheese always has some meat from the griddle on it. I understand i am coming to a fast food restaurant and i do not expect special treatment, but for those who can't eat meat, it is a little inconsiderate. I even asked the next time if it was possible for the griddle to be wiped down before they make my grilled cheese and i still got meat bits in it. Another time once we paid, we didnt realize that the cashier didnt give us the credit card back, although that is partially my fault, i felt very rushed due to the crowd. I am not giving them a bad review, simply because they are busy and have a lot of customers to attend to but I just want to bring some attention to these small issues. still love In-n-Out!

4 burgers, an order of well done fries, 3 shakes, 1 soda for $20. Such a steal and the customer service in here during a crazy lunch hour was amazing. While ordering with my nieces they were given stickers and hats by different staff members (so sweet!) Our complicated order was perfect! Our niece knocked over her milkshake and Gilbert and Xavier came over and told us its fine don't worry about it and took care of it immediately AND brought over a new shake for her. Best service ever! Thanks guys :)

I don't remember a time that In-N-Out wasn't a part of my life. I've almost always lived walking distance to one, and I'm currently in walking range, but can't walk there since I had surgery on my ankle. I really want to give In-N-Out five stars. I hate to take off a star for the drive-thru and parking lot, but this particular In-N-Out's drive thru line, the way it's routed, really messes up traffic, the line goes down the street. If you are planning to go through the drive-thru, you must enter from the driveway on Atlantic. There are signs that clearly say this, so we normally go inside and order. Food-wise, I love In-N-Out (I think I've said that a million times in my life now). This location is no different. I searched for In-N-Out's "secret" menu and found out that there are like 20 different things that are not on the menu. I only knew about animal style before my research.

Sooooooooooo slow. Every Time, all the time, I hate coming here. I order my burgers well done and they're pink inside. A disgrace.

  • Alex J.

Horrible parking. LOOOOONNNG lines at the drive-thru....so long that it spills over onto the main street (Atlantic Blvd). They WILL misplace your order. They've misplaced my order on more than one occasion. In one instance, it looked like my order number was skipped. I asked the girl at the counter where my order was. She said it was coming. Waited another 10 minutes. I asked again. She went back to the burger assembly area and said it's coming. I waited another 5 minutes and realized I wasn't getting my food. I wasted 25 minutes waiting for my order and asked the girl at the counter TWICE !!! I had order #23. We were into the mid-30's until I finally got fed-up and asked for my money back. Manager came to do the override on the register. All he said was, "Sorry."...Yeah I'm sorry for ever walking into this place. SCREW THIS PLACE !!!

In-N-Out is one of the most popular fast food restaurants on the west coast! After trying it for the first time, I can definitely see the hype. You can get your fried deep fried to make them even crispier, and the burgers come in gigantic portions! The place is constantly busy, so busy that they even have lines for the bathrooms!

    (4)
  • Paul H.

My first In-N-Out in California. I can confidently say that the taste and service is consistent in all the other states I've tried it in (Nevada & Texas). Try the buns well done and/or with mustard. I like my fries well, well done so it's got a hard and crunchy consistency. I love you In-N-Out!

    (4)
  • Norah C.

What else can I say about In N Out- it's what a hamburger's all about!! I have been coming to this location for years and I love it. The staff is efficient and friendly and I always order the #2 protein style (lettuce instead of buns). In N Out is very cheap and perfect for someone who is craving a burger. The only downside to this location is the parking lot. It is sometimes very crowded and hard to navigate. But other than that I am all about In N Out!

    (4)
  • Angela L.

This In-N-Out is one of the busiest in the San Gabriel Valley. You can expect lines and lines and more lines from the cities that are connected through Huntington Drive - from El Sereno to Rosemead. This is one of the most consistent In-N-Outs I've been to. The people are always friendly though some of the cashiers cannot catch on to special orders (whole grilled onion, chopped chilies and pickles please!) but it's understandable since they make this mistake when they're busy. The drive thru is not recommended at all. Sometimes the cars get hung on Garfield to Atlantic just to get in the drive thru. It's also quite difficult to find parking on peak hours. High turnover - the burgers you get are always very fresh! Worth the wait and of course In-N-Out knows how to keep their quality of food.

Barely above fat burger for the best fast food hamburger. This place has great burgers and awesome shakes.

  • Azzi E.

Best. Burger. Ever (in a chain). Period. Fries made of potatoes directly there (you can actually see them how they cut potatoes, cut fresh vegetables, onions). It is just so much different from other chains (where you usually get junk & processed food). There are several locations of In-N-Out around the town, but this one is my favorite. It has a diner where you can sit&eat. There is a line of cars going to drive-in. Always. If you go here, use the diner. It has its atmosphere.

  • Justin L.

I wish I could eat In N Out everyday and I would except for that damn little thing called diabeetus... For some reason, this location is always poppin no matter what time of day you come and is a real pain to go through the drive thru. But the thing is, either waiting in the drive thru or ordering inside will take at least 20 minutes to get your order. The location can also be a bit tricky to get into the parking lot if you're not familiar with it since one entrance is essentially on a one way street and the second is behind the restaurant on a residential street. To get the most bang for your buck, don't order the combos. Instead do what I do: 2 x hamburger (or cheeseburger, animal style) order of fries (well done) onions and chili peppers on both burgers 4 packets of side spread (yes, 4....or even more) cup of water This order will be roughly the same price as a double double combo and get you way more filled. The spiciness of the chili's actually lowers your appetite so you can get fuller faster. The side spread is to use on the burgers and also for the fries to make a ghetto animal style fries. Be sure to ask for a fork too. And as for the water, just ditch the soda. Why do you want to drink pure sugar? Water is so much better for you. Pro tips. Use em.

Definitely the best fast food burger I've ever had. Really cheap too! Got the cheseburger. Patty wad very flavourful and juicy. I would recommend checking this place out

For some reasons I just have a craving for Animal style fries and In and Out was on my way so I decided to stop by. This place never disappoints me. The fries was perfectly prepared. Freshly made, right amount of cheese, sauce and onions. The fries itself was just right, not too crispy or soggy. I added some ketchup and peppers to spice things up a bit and wow, it was heavenly. I Didn't have appetite for burgers this time, but you can never go wrong with their burgers. Definitely one of the best tasting fast food joint around. Their motto is "quality you can taste" and I couldn't agree more.

  • Pippi L.

In n Out is my favorite fast food burger. In fact, since I don't get burgers often, since I only eat meat a few times a week, I only go to places where I know I will love the burger. When I have more time and want to sit down, I go to Pie n Burger, which is my all time favorite burger; but, their burger costs more and isn't as easy to get to go. When I get fast food, I only go to In n Out. They care about the quality of their food (see their website--as I did since I'm always interested in where people get their meat/what type of meat it is), their burger is always tasty (I get Cheeseburger with grilled onions), and their workers are consistently friendly. I like their shake as well, but never been a fan of their fries. I know they make them fresh, which is cool, but they are not crunchy enough for my tastes. The drive through line can be long, but that's just because people know a good burger when they eat one. Also when the line gets long they send a worker out to greet customers and take orders, which I find calming :) And just a note, when I worked at two different Community Mental Health Clinics in the area, In n Out brought their trucks to serve our under-privileged children and their families for free during holiday parties. Nice.

  • Melissa N.

The first In-N-Out I've tried was this location. The lines are always the same here--LONG, both inside for those who want to eat in and for the drive-thru..very popular location I guess. But then again when does In-N-Out not have a line? :( I always order the #2- Cheeseburger, Grilled Onions, and upgrade my fries to Animal Fries cause I'm a fatty :) If I'm feeling really fatty, I'll order a shake to share, I get all the flavors: Chocolate, Strawberry and Vanilla..try it, its bomb. You can also ask for extra spread too, they don't mind! And they have peppers if you want to make something spicy. Favorite place to pick up fast-food burgers :)

  • Sandie S.

I love In & Out! But this location is by far the worst I have ever come across. Don't get me wrong, the only reason I've frequented so often, is because it's so close to home. First of all, the drive through entrance sucks!! You can only come in through at Atlantic! Second, I've ordered by drive thru twice and BOTH times, They gave me cold fries and Luke warm burgers. I thought ok, maybe they're just really busy (as they always are). So the next time we went in thinking, third times a charm! Boy, was that a big fat NEGATIVE (robot voice)! We actually got out and ordered inside for take out, and once again to no surprise the fries were cold and the bugers luke warm :/ We didn't complain, only because I know what it's like to work in the food and service industry, but man! Now I feel like I should have! This in and out broke my heart and I fell for it three times :((

  • Paul K.

3 stars for this location. I live next door, so it's convenient when I don't want to cook. But they need to learn how to follow simple instructions. Like no spread means NO SPREAD. Not enough to where the burger is dripping and making Bill Clinton jealous.

  • Marina S.

The drive-through moves nice and fast even though the line gets loooong! In-n-out can do no wrong!

  • Kim H.

This location is small. If you can't get good seating inside you have to go outside which is right next to the drive through and so you are eating and inhaling gasoline. Like who designs this place like that. Food is the same where ever you go. It is a 4 star. This place is a 2 star on parking and the outdoor seating and the lack of indoor seating. If you can go to another In-n-Out or just go through drive through.

    (2)
  • Peter D.

My local In-N-Out...Double Double with a slice of raw onion, fries and a vanilla shake. Simple, filling and satisfying. Fresh ingredients made to order by friendly people. Sometimes that's all you need. Best to eat it right away. Not the same experience, even if it gets a little cold. Fries are straight potatoes so it may seem a little bland without all the artificial ingredients you're used to at other fast food joints. A little ketchup does the trick for me. I also enjoy the jalapeno peppers they offer under the counter (special request).

I like this location. They aren't skimpy with the toppings! -1 star for less than ample parking.

This In-and-Out is as crazy as it gets because it's the only sit-down one in the SGV (I think). The line is always super long at the drive-through and packed inside; parking is hard to find. That being said, it's still In-and-Out! Order of animal style fries paired with an order of regular fries, cause they are super generous with their fry toppings. Neopolitan milkshake ... mmmm.

I recently had the fortune of visiting again and the fries and burger were much better. I guess maybe it's because the restaurant was less crowded and it wasn't as close to closing time.

In-N-Out Burger is a great place for burgers. They consistently serve awesome burgers at extremely affordable prices. You can never go wrong with In-N-Out. They're menu is so simple, nothing crazy. When you are consistently serving great food there is no need to come up with special burgers or promotions. The food speaks for itself. I like to get a double-double animal style and I'm feeling like being extra bad I also get the fries animal style. Great Food. Simple Menu. Minor Variations on the same burgers (animal style, protein, etc). Very cheap. The only disadvantage is that it can get extremely busy, making it hard to find parking (especially at this location).

Needs to open another location STAT! Depending on when you go, you can great really great service and the quality you come to expect from In N Out. I've always avoided the typical hours to eat when going here, but I've definitely driven past those crazy cars trying to squeeze their SUV into the teeny tiny gap of the driveway... and oh, the right line of the road. PS Get your Fries well done. A few extra minutes, but it's worth the wait.

What can I say, it's In-N-Out. I don't usually get fast food, but I only have good things to say about In-N-Out. Well it's still not something I'd eat... everyday, but yeah, animal style fries are the best. Everyone should try it. I also tried well-done fries once, and those are really good too. I still find it really cool how items on the menu are very limited, yet business is booming for them. The In-N-Out closest to my house is almost always pretty packed, and when I drive by sometimes I see the line of cars for the drive-thru spilling into the street. And I like how I could rub it in my Chicagoan cousin's face that there's an In-N-Out minutes from my house and none within miles and hours and states of him.

I live in Alhambra, but the Rosemead location is closer to my house. I'd much prefer going here though, because the Rosemead one is just the drive-thru, and everyone knows how much of a hassle it is waiting behind a car that's trying to order 2000000 things and then some. I'd much rather be able to park and order from the inside. Saves gas, yo. It doesn't comprehend how some just don't really like this place! What's not to like? From past experience with In-n-Out, the lines can get a little crazy, but not so horrible that it changes my view about them. You're getting fresh-cut fries that are being prepared right in front of your eyes, and the smell of it is incredible. I've been here enough to say that I get good service every time. It's worth the wait as well. Just know when and where to turn if you're down from Huntington. Then enjoy the goodness that is yummy cheeseburger on toasty buns and fresh-cut, delicious fries. Just make sure not to drool, that's gross.

In-n- out has the best burgers I've ever HAD. If you're visiting california you have to try In-n-out! Fresh food, great service, fast food environment. Food: 5 Service: 4 Environment: 4 Price: 5

DAMN!! I wish we had this in Hawaii!!! everytime I come over to California to visit my sister I just need my fix of going to Inn & Out Burger. Fresh ingredients made to order especially the french fries, I though Mcdonald's make good fries but this takes the cake and the chocolate malt is to die for. Service was fast, efficient and I'm getting the impression that the people working here take pride in their fast food restaurant because the place is very clean and bright. They's make a fortune if they would open a franchise in Hawaii. Mcdonald's who????

Thank you this In-N-Out for being the closest one to my house. You are still about 4 miles away, but I sometimes drive to you when I have the late night munchies. You were there to cheer me up when my ex-girlfriend dumped me, open at 10am in the morning, helping me hold my tears back when I am eating your awesome cheeseburger and fries. Heck, I think I am going to drive to you right now! See you in 15!

DOUBLE DOUBLE all day long! This is by far my favorite LOW CARB burger. Try it Animal style for extra yumminess!

  • Johnson G.

Got a Double Double animal style. Awesome as always. I asked for chilies (yellow banana peppers) on the side. Two in a sealed plastic bag, how quaint. They go well with the burger. At least now I know what that's about. Burger: fresh beef and toppings. Fries: fresh potatoes. Service: excellent.

Another institutional review. If you haven't tried In N Out, you should. It's the closest you'll ever get to having a home made burger at a fast food place. Reviewing the food would be pointless, so here's a review of the location: Went here Saturday at 5pm. Long drive-thru line at always, and a crowded parking lot, but when I went inside, the line at the register was surprisingly short. Got in and out (oh ho ho) in under 10 minutes. The waiting area also had a bench, which not all locations have. I enjoy benches. 5 stars for bench.

This is a pretty medium sized In and Out. The service here is fast and friendly. The only thing that is slightly annoying about this location is that it is somewhat difficult to get into the parking lot when driving south on Atlantic. Other than that, this place is typical In and Out deliciousness.

I come here all the time, maybe a little too often seeing that I'm trying to help my bf lose weight and I'm constantly tempting him with In-N-Out goodness. A classic California burger joint minus all the extra thrills and frills like other fast food places. Hamburger, cheeseburger, double double. That's it. Always pretty packed but it's understandable when the food is this good. Get it with grilled onions and a side of well done fries and you're all set to chow down. I heard the grill cheese is "BOMB!" My friend's words not mine, but he's a picky eater so I definitely take his word for it. I'm the nostalgic kind so I love how it reminds me of Grease and those car hops from the past. Don't you wish places still were still like that.

  • Mike H.

This place is always crowded, the drive thru usually pretty long. I normally get Cheese Burger Animal Style and it's the best value/quality burger you can get. You can even get animal style fries! I also love their thick ice cream like milk shake.

    (5)
  • Maritza Z.

These burgers are so tasty with grilled onions, the fries kinda suck but if you get them animal style then they're super yummy. They put 2 slices of cheese, grilled onions & the "animal sauce". The only thing i don't really like is the entrance/exit. It gets so packed it really is ridiculous to get in -n out, lol

It's an In-N-Out Burger location and a hop, skip, and a jump from where I live. In fact it's so close to me I can smell the burgers cooking and hear the loud, rowdy crowds in the parking lot on busy weekend nights. This location is always busy, inside and at the drive thru. But they keep it moving. I find the staff friendly, and they always smile. When the line gets really long at the drive thru they send a person out who electronically puts in your order to the window and so the line keeps moving well. Considering the menu is so simple, it should. EVERYONE is getting some semblance of a burger, fries, and a drink. That's about it, so it just keeps moving along as they churn out the food. I don't eat here much, but when I have I have gotten Animal Style, Grilled Cheese, a Protein Burger, and just a regular 'ol cheeseburger. All have been great, as In-N-Out usually is. Fresh ingredients matter. This location has a good sized dining area inside and out, and a sizable parking lot it shares with an adjacent restaurant. However parking can be a challenge. I know this for a fact by all the cars parked in my neighborhood on evenings and weekends with customers walking up the street to grab a burger, and leaving the trash out on the curb. But street parking is adequate, so if you don't mind walking a block or so it's worth a nice burger.

Ok, this might be a little blasphemous, but I don't see what all the fuss is about. Wait, I think I can hear the shouts through my monitor... For years I've passed In-N-Out, shaking my head in bewilderment at the line of cars leading up to its drive-thru windows. It's not that I hate it, it's just that I think it's only average, and it's unclear to me why I seem to be one of the rare few not in love with it, friends included. Even the handful of low ratings here actually turn out to be In-N-Out devotees who are really just upset a specific location has compromised its standards. I've been to In-N-Out several times now, usually the result of being outvoted by co-workers, and I'm still as confused by its mass appeal as I've ever been. Ok, I'll concede their burgers are a notch above Burger King, Carl's, or McDonald's, but I much prefer McDonald's fries to In-N-Out's, which often seem soggy in comparison. Ooops, did I say that too...? Somehow, I"m beginning to get the feeling I know what John Lennon felt when he said the Beatles were "more popular than Jesus"...

Oh In 'n Out why won't you migrate to the East Coast? The first time I had an In 'n Out burger, I was in the 7th grade. It's seriously like a Grade-A drug or something; you will never forget it!! Everytime I am in CA, I have to stop by and get my Double Double. I agree - the fries are a little lacking, but come on, where can you find such great hamburgers?! I measure all my hamburgers in relation to the In 'n Out burgers. And as of yet, I still have not found an equivalent in the East Coast. It makes me sad, really :(

  • Cam S.

I can't get enough of this In N Out. They are efficient in every aspect from food prep to having the workers take orders when the lines exceed the parking lot during lunch and rush hour. They know me as miss #3 with grilled onions. I'm not really into the animal style since I like the taste of the fresh buns and the extra sauce seems to drench everything too much. This location is one of the better locations in the San Gabriel Valley since it's larger than just having a pure drive-in. Inside seating is plenty and it's bright and safe. This reminds me of the In N Out in Barstow. So keep up the good work Alhambra In N Out XxOo Miss #3

Ahhh... the dreams of an In n Out burger of an east-coaster- that which I am!! Every time I come to the west coast, I MUST have an in n out burger. It's just got that perfect combo of fresh ingredients and perfect delicious animal sauce!!!!!!!!!

  • Jenny L.

Definitely a good place to eat. If you eat Mcdonald's, Carl's Jr, burger King, or other "fast food" joints, then you have got to eliminate those choices and go to in-n-out. Mcdonald and other joints serve frozen patties and then reheat it. At in-n-out, they freshly deliver their patties to their branches. The fries at in-n-out are even fresh. They actually peel the potatoes by hand and cut them with a machine. Everything is made fresh, well at least that I know of. The price is very reasonable, but I do have to warn you is that parking sucks and drive thru sucks even more, that is why I give this place a 4/5. Parking is important... if you want get food right?

  • Julia V.

Considering the company's quality control, it's really hard to find an In-N-Out with anything less than 4 stars. So what sort of scale does one use to rate something that exhibits such low variance? By little details that don't matter all that much. I gave this In-N-Out 5 stars because I've honestly never seen a more perfect-looking burger than the one I got from here. All In-N-Out burgers are delicious and taste pretty much the same. But this one had supermodel potential. The bun was perfectly toasted and convex with no sign of rough handling. The patty, lettuce, and onion were fresh and delicious, as with all In-N-Outs, but more than that, they were centered and stacked so neatly on top of each other that they must have had an architect supervising that night. The sun envied the sauce for how circularly spread and centered it was. And whoever wrapped the burger must be a descendant of Michaelangelo. Really ya'll, can't go wrong with In-N-Out.

  • Calvin Y.

In-N-Out serves up good burgers, always fresh, and made to order - don't like their fries though, the natural goodness comes out soggy. The drive-thru here is pretty crazy; the line goes out to the street and on a regular night, takes about 30 minutes + to get your order. This location is small - parking lot don't fit that many cars either. But sadly, there is not another location nearby. So prepare for the long wait.

    (4)
  • Manuel C.

delicious but it gets packed by a lot of youngsters. I noticed that they take care of the drive in peeps quicker than the dine-in. so if you're pressed for time, go drive-in and park your car to munch on a double double animal style ;)

  • Noel B.

So my gf and I decided to go for In and out and get the double double. Guess what? The double double that we got were still cold ( fresh taken from the frozen fridge). Just the bun were warm. WTF! This is unbelievable. I already drive away from the restaurant and about to reach home. I was about to go back and yell at them but my gf said we just warm it up in the microwave. Do they really made the burger fresh like they said??

I don't know how In N Out could ever get a bad review. Seriously. Food is great. Service is excellent. It's open until 2 am. The only problem is how it's generally busy...but that's to be expected. If you don't know this franchise is basically endemic to California with a few restaurants in Colorado and Nevada. If you want a really delicious burger, fresh French fries, and a shake actually made from ice cream, this is the place to go. It's so worth any wait.

I never feel so guilty eating here. Price's are great, food is delicious and staff is very friendly. Unfortunately because it's the only In-N-Out in this area, this place is packed.. making me wait forever getting my food. But I still love eating here.

  • Anton E.

I have literally been going to this In-N-Out at least once a week for years, and it hits the G-spot (GOOD SPOT) everytime. Secret Menu Items/Additions that I order: - Double-Double "Animal Style" (extra lettuce, tomatoes & spread, comes with pickles & grilled onions - all at no additional charge... so why not??) -"Animal Style Fries" (Regular order of fries with cheese, spread and grilled onions on top: In-N-Out's version of chili cheese fries but better!) - "Neopolitan Milkshake" (Vanilla + Chocolate + Strawberry milkshakes in one) - "Protein-Style CheeseBurger" (Regular cheeseburger with Lettuce Wraps instead of Bread Buns) Also check out their: - Grilled Cheese - Onions: Regular, Grilled (chopped) , Grilled (whole) - French Fries : order them "Extra Crispy" - "3 by 3", "4 by 4", "10 by 10" ... whatever you likeee Service is pretty quick (considering they really don't make it, til you order it), Quality is ALWAYS there, and workers are very friendly. Depending on time of day, the Drive-Thru is normally quicker than parking and ordering inside

In N Out, how I love you so, fresh cut veggies and fries straight out of potatoes, juicy patties with a hint of delight, animal style fries that I can't get out of my mind, all the competition fierce and tough, In N Out will always be my love. Also if your gonna go to an In N Out, this one's probably the best location, fast service and clean store, too bad the drive through is always crowded just like any other In N Out.

    (5)
  • Elton W.

I like this In N Out because, unlike many In N Outs in the area, this one has indoor seating. Other than that, standard In N Out fare. Got my regular -- double double with spread, ketchup, and grilled onions.

I have been eating In-N-Out for the longest time I can remember. The burgers here are SO SO good. I like that they have a secret menu so it kind of adds a little bit of variety to just burgers and fries. The animal fries here are delicious. Fries+melted cheese+grilled onions+their special sauce=awesome. The quality is also very consistent! yay

  • A M.

Love In-N-Out! The cashiers are super friendly and the burgers are consistently awesome! My fave is the double double animal style. So fresh tasting! Love that the lettuce is a whole leaf rather than the shredded stuff. Love the grilled onion taste too (which comes with the animal style). The original/ regular style of burger comes with raw onions. I tried the protein style burger once (wrapped in lettuce, no bun) but it slid around too much and I decided that I missed my bread. Not a fan of the strawberry shake. Too thick to suck with such a thin straw (hurt my jaw!) and tasted kinda artificial and way too sweet. I couldn't finish it. I like the strawberry shake at Chick-fil-A better. It tastes more "natural" and not as sweet. Not a huge fan of the fries either. Too dry and bland. (Although I just looked up their secret menu online and they say you can order the fries "light" (cooked not as long) or "well done" (cooked longer) so maybe I'll try the well done next time I'm there. I'd usually prefer to eat my own made-from-scratch oven roasted potatoes or get some oily fries from the local greasy joint. Love that the restrooms are clean and the paper towel dispensers have motion sensors (no more touching dirty paper towel dispensing handles!). They just recently raised their prices though. The prices had been the same for a long, long time, so it's okay. It's still a better value than those other fast food joints out there.

It's good, not THAT good. Hype, trend, call it what you want. I don't know what it is, maybe they forgot to put the crack in my burger? The GOOD: It's cheap, really cheap. The burgers are good, nothing amazing. You can get grilled onions on your burger. They serve Coke, not Pepsi. The BAD: I know I'll have three hit-men at my door for saying this but, the fries suck ass. People always whine..."but they're healthy". FRIES AREN'T SUPPOSED TO BE HEALTHY! GO EAT A RICE CAKE IF YOU WANT HEALTHY! What's next? I hate when people take food that's normally supposed to be good'n greasy and try to make a healthy alternative! EAT IN MODERATION! The UGLY: The LOONG ass line, NOT WORTH IT! Their outfits annoy the crap out of me too. It was cute in the 50's. Bottom line, I'd go back, not anytime soon. I've rarely ever actually craved their burgers. I wish there was a Fuddruckers close by. There are so many other smaller ma-and-pa joints with better burgers in the area.

    (3)
  • David Z.

This is a classic place for our group to go when we head back to California. The burgers are all natural, fries are made on the spot, shakes are heavenly. There's a reason there's always a long line! The menu is pretty minimalistic but there's a secret menu. You can get burgers protein style (wraps your burger in lettuce and no buns), the grilled cheese (bun, tomatoes, onions, melted cheese), Flying dutchman (two beef patties and two slices of cheese), the Animal style (grilled onions sauce!), and any combination of cheese/batties (i.e. 3 by 3 is 3 patties, 3 slices of cheese, 3 by 6 is 3 patties, 6 slices of cheese). The fries you can get animal style, well-done (extra crispy fries) or light (opposite of well done). I'm also a big fan of getting pickles on my burger (they don't come on the burger by default).

    (4)
  • Mimi C.

*drools*.... that's all. =9 mimi loves them double meat burgers with lite fries. nom nom nom... add some of that ketchup + black pepper and you won't be able to talk to her for the next 15 minutes. :)

  • Bart C.

Best healthy quick cheap meals around! No refrigerators. No heat lamps. If you want to eat Gluten Free - order your burger Protein Style (where the buns are substituted for large hand-leafed lettuce) You can get up to four meat patties per burger and four pieces of cheese = 4x4. Animal Style = patties fried with mustard, grilled Onions, pickles and extra spread. Flying Dutchman = just meat and cheese served without buns, lettuce or tomatoes. Quality is consistent at all the In-n-Out's due to them all being company owned (not a franchise) and all the employees being trained at In-n-Out University. They have the lowest employee turnover rate in the industry which shows that their employees are the happier than any others in the fast food industry.

I don't like the way there parking is set up for their drivetrough but that's not the reason I go there. Animal style enough said!!!

When I was a kid, I always cherished burgers, whether it be from McDonalds, Burger King, Carl's Jr, or any other joint. However as I got older, the concept of eating one just got nastier and nastier. Sure I would eat a Famous Star from Carl's Jr, but I would be making a trip to the restroom in just an hour. This place though, has been reserved in heart, wherever it may be from, from Vegas, to the place I most visit, in Alhambra. The way they make their Double Doubles, crisp cut fries, and shakes is just mouth watering and its ALL FRESH. It's like a stoner's dream, except I'm not a stoner. Oh, and if you never been there, ask for animal fries and a root beer float too. TRUST ME.

    (5)
  • Javier J.

I have to give this one low marks.... I know, terrible, isn't it? How can an In-n-out be bad? Well, it's not the food that sucks here, it's all the other factors involved. You have the piss poor parking. Which is really strange because it's being shared with the sit down establishment next door. So you're very limited on actual parking you can use here. But even before you get into the parking lot to fight that fight, you have to deal with actually getting in here. If you're coming south, you have to turn on a side street and go in the back. Coming up Atlantic you're dealt with the hand of trying to get over. Garfield seems like the only real way to actually get in easy. The drive-thru is also pretty slow. Which is a staple of all In-n-outs. So you just have to come to expect it. Inside the seating isn't all that great. There's seldom ever any place to sit, which is a little odd because I never had that problem with any other InN. Then you get to the real problem of this location. I'm a special person when it comes to ordering. I mix it up every time. So I may get extra tomatoes or a side of spread along with very odd ratios of meat and cheese. This place is always thrown for a loop by me while others have easily handled my quirky orders. I don't think I've gotten a single order correct at this location for all the time I've ever been to this one. Always something off that, while not a deal breaker for me going back to get it corrected then and there, is left in my mind. If there's another In and Out you can go to, you might as well. The two palm trees in this location don't mark the spot.

  • Zhi Z.

The burgers here are in fact very good however i personally think it is overpriced. It is 3.43 for a double double with tax and that doesn't really fill one up. They let you choose whether or not you want onions, tomatoes, protein style, etc which is really good. i personally like the protein style 4x4 and i believe it was around 5-6 bucks. the spread is good, service is good, and food has quality.

This place saved my weekend. Literally. Started Sunday with a bad round of golf (grrrrrr) followed by bad dim sum at Blue Ocean on Garfield (double grrrrr). Me to Mrs. C, "Hey let's go to In-n-Out for dinner." We ate there and settled into some nice burgers with melted cheese oozing from the sides. Yummy! They sure were working hard to get he food out quickly, and the place was packed. The burgers came with toasted buns (which I always appreciate) and I also like the self-service drinks. If In-n-Out had better french fries I'd give it 5 stars, but this is intended to be positive review so I'm giving 4 stars and will stop there. :) As we were getting ready to leave, I had my red basket in my hard, ready to take to the trash, but a friendly employee practically took it from my hand and said "Sir, I'll take care of that." Whoever you are, thanks!! We will be back.

I live a few blocks from this particular In-N-Out and my stomach has reminded me almost every day on how much I love it. My friends and I have been coming here for years and it is always a priority stop for my friends/relatives from out-of-state. The staff are always friendly and the efficiency in this place will almost blow your mind. Usually a short wait that comes standard but never waited more than 4-5 minutes. Drive-thru can be very busy around lunch and dinner but the food is worth it. Pretty basic with burgers, fries, and shakes but boy do they do it well. I would definitely make this a stop if you are not from California and/or want one of the best burgers In California!

This is one of those places you can keep on eating over and over and not get sick of it. Too bad they don't have any in the east coast. Suckaz! I usually order the double double with extra whole grilled onions and extra extra lettuce. Myyyyy favoritttte!!! Enough said.

  • Ron L.

I seen that long line that curls around and out onto the street. Never been inside and wanted to see which was faster. So I kept an eye on this big red truck that would have been where I was in the drive thru. Very Impressed on how clean the place was and a worker continually cleaning the table areas. Cashiers were friendly and had very quick service. While waiting I noticed that when 3 or more people would come up, they opened another register. Then employees would yell loud for counter help when someone approached the counter. Wow...what great service!!! I counted at least 16 happy employees hustling around working. As for my food.... it came out perfect and I took some photos of my animal style burger with extra onions. Had a little crack on the bun.....boo....hoo... My fries were nicely crispy ....but..I love them crispy. I had accidently put lemonade first and decided to leave it and put 7up on top. Wow, I now found a new combo drink I like....cool... Ooooh and I forgot the employee in the drive thru line working hard to take your order. And that red truck in the line. He won and beat me by about 8 minutes.

I don't need to tell you anything about how good the food is. This location is always really busy, so you might have a bit of a wait, but the staff is very friendly and it's one of the few places open late in the area...which is probably why you see so many teenagers there :)

Only trouble I've ever had with this place was probably a long wait or a mistake in my order. I mean I'd assume that's a common problem for all restaurants to be honest though. It's always uneventful, time consuming, and simply annoying... however that only happens during rush hour times. They're near flawless to be honest. I always go in the restaurant to order since I never want to rely on their drive through line. I think that's the real decision one needs to make. The Drive Thru has to deal with a high paced and extremely demanding service as opposed to a more relaxed setting where employees are given more time. I think it's just a matter of time before they snap WHILE working at the drive thru. The regular line is from what I see a lot easier to deal with. Often times, during rush hours and prime times of IN-n-Out, they'd mistaken my animal style Double Double for a regular double double. I mention that to them and they take it back without arguing. A fresh animal style double double comes my way like as if I'm priority. All in all, this place although making simple mistakes like the above is one of the best fast-food joints one can enjoy a delicious and famously delicious In-n-Out burger at.

Background: Your old fashion-styled burger joint, with good quality food and customer service. Supposedly all of the In-N-Out restaurants are family owned and operated. If you're ever in the mood for a good burger that's NOT made in like 30 seconds, I recommend that you come here. Atmosphere: This place is located next to a restaurant called Twoheys and they share the same parking lot. On most days and nights, you can probably find about 4-5 empty spots in the parking lot, sometimes more, sometimes less. I never had a hard time parking here. They also have a drive-thru for you people on the go. Once you get out of your car, you'll probably notice a seductive scent of meat, cheese, and onions. It tends to linger around in the air, innocently catching the minds of the hungry. When you enter the restaurant, you usually see a large crowd of folk sitting around in almost every table. It tends to get crowded sometimes. As you approach the counter, you will notice the employees and the open view into the "kitchen area". Take a moment and see how they make all of their food fresh and right on the spot. They wear neat outfits that remind you of a nice burger joint back in the 80s. Seats are kinda hard to find for big groups, so grab them when you can. Monetary value: Price for price, you're getting a better burger here than in most fast food chain restaurants. The prices they charge are very fair and one can get full from eating about $5-7 average worth of food. Food: Hands down, this is one of my favorite places to go for a good burger. The reason why the quality is so good is because they keep a simple menu, with mainly burgers, fries, shakes, and soft drinks. This allows them to focus on making them right, instead of the clutter of many other fast food restaurants. I almost always get a "Double Double" combo (combo #1). Their burger patties are delicious and juicy, but not too crispy or raw. The cheese melts real nicely compliments the patty nicely. The lettuce and tomatoes add some balance to the burger. But the onions really make up the taste. Their fries are not too salty or oily. Their shakes, however, are somewhat too thick and could be thinned a bit. Service: The people behind the counter are really nice and though there is a small waiting time for the food, it's really worth it. I'm sure they're more than happy to make up an order for you if they messed it up. I haven't had any bad experiences with these folks yet. OVERALL: If you happen to be in the area and are craving for some good ol' fashioned burgers, then I highly recommend you to drop by this place. The quality and satisfaction of the food quite outranks the competition. Love this place. I love In-N-Out! *Protip*: You probably heard of the secret menu, but if you haven't, I recommend you try a Double-Double "animal style" and with fries "well done". These are two staples of mine every time I order. There are also other unique offerings they have in their secret menu... you just have to look them up. Also, you might wanna watch out for the inner wrapping paper of your burger, it tends to get oily and soggy and you could end up eating it along with the burger.

Honestly... who does not love In n' out burgers? I don't frequent In N' out as much as I used to, but when I did, Oh boy! The menu is simple, but can become ridiculous when you start asking for the customized burgers/fries you can get from the place. Ever had a 4x4 animal style with some fries animal style and a chocolate shake? Hell yeah, that's what I'm talking about... of course I've never had a 4x4 before, only a double double and that satisfies my craving, especially after eating the animal style fries and shake. One day I'm going to try out the 10x10 and work my way up to 20x20 just to say I am a disgusting glutton who has nothing better to do than gorge on In n' Out goodness.

I know that reviewing a chain isn't really what this site is about, but I always notice the differences between locations of chains. There are 2 In N Out burgers of equal distance from my house -the one on Foothill to the East and the one on Atlantic to the South. Location, location, location -besides the amount of street lights and traffic I hit coming home from Foothill (my food is cold by the time I get home), the one on Foothill has a short drive thru lane which spills out down the street, blocking the entrances to other establishments. From the Atlantic location I get home using residential streets -pretty much all stop signs, few lights, and I can enjoy my hot food in front of my tv! The Atlantic location does have an awkward entrance if you're coming from the North -you have to drive past it and turn around in the residential area. And you have to assume that you'll be waiting awhile in the drive through lane -so I usually take that time to listen to a podcast (it makes the time go faster). But no matter how frustrated you get with waiting in line, notice how the person taking your order has a big smile on his/her face -doesn't matter what time of day. It reminds me that I'm going to be rewarded with a delicious burger, hot fries and a creamy milkshake. Think about it, if you are frustrated for waiting for 5 minutes in line, just think about them -standing in that uniform in the hot California sun for MORE than 5 minutes.....at least you have air conditioning and radio. Speaking of their milkshakes, this location seems to be the only one that has drinkable shakes -I've been to at least 6 other locations, and I can never seem to get enough milkshake up that tiny straw. But this location doesn't freeze their milkshakes as cold, so you can actually get a good amount to drink! Not much I can say about their fries....they're just tasty. Not too salty, and they actually taste like potatoes. I know most of you (especially you CA natives) are aware of the hidden menu that's not posted on the board. I really enjoying feeling like I'm in on a secret, and from a design prospective, their menus are nice, simple and clean looking -so I like that they keep all of the extras off. Here's a link to the secret menu (with pictures): badmouth.net/in-n-outs-s… I usually get the double double, protein style, animal style with the raw onions instead of the grilled. I'm excited to try the "extra toast" option and the animal fries next time! I like the protein style (lettuce wrapped), so I don't feel as guilty ordering the fries and milkshake! But it only tastes good if you order the double -the crisp lettuce over powers the single! Also I heard about the In N Out "Home Run" recently; if there is no one in the drive through lane, pull right up to the window and yell "Home Run!" (I've heard you get a free meal). -I haven't been to an In N Out where this actually can happen, but I'm always on the lookout! For you Christians out there, keep an eye out for the hidden bible versus on the wrappers and cups!

If you ever ask a SoCal resident, "what's the first thing that comes to mind about SoCal?" One of the many replies would be "IN N OUT!". This iconic burger joint has been around for many MANY years. Until today, it still provides their patrons with mouth watering burgers and fries. I've been coming here ever since I was a little lad. I just can't get sick of this place!! Their burgers are freshly made to order and fries are cut fresh daily. TOP SECRET MENU: There are items and requests not on the menu that I'd like to share with you. Add-ons such as "animal style" is a very popular choice which gives you diced grilled onions in your burgers. If you're a person who watches his/her carb intake. You can kindly request the lettuce wrapped burger which substitutes the bun for lettuce. You can also get "animal style" fries which is also a very popular pick. If you're a person with a monsterous appetite go ahead and order the 10 by 10. I'll let you discover that one on your own. Cheers!

In n out will always be my comfort food. The burgers are simple and tastes great. This location is always busy, but you'll always be able to find a seat. In n out has my heart forever!

Yes, it's fast food. Yes, it's greasy. But if I want a greasy fast food burger I sure as hell would choose In-N-Out. A 3x3 with animal fries and a root beer to wash the goodness down. Even regular fries are good. Their shakes tend to run a really thick consistency though. I used to live within walking distance of this joint (at a major cross-section, but far from most music venues to not be overly crowded most of the time), and let me tell you, I counted on those 4 blocks to help keep down the net calories.

this in-n-out can get really packed on a weekend night, so the parking lot can be full.. just a precaution it's also a sit down place, but it can still be crowded inside even though the place is pretty big i've never had an issue with any of my orders here and never had bad service

If you are from out of town and you want a real American burger. Order the double double animal style with animal style fries and a diet coke LOL. Amazingly fresh, fast, juicy and the all time best.

I rarely go to in-n-out but i like this place (: i like my fries well done. you should try the animal style cheeseburger :D

Pretty much THE go-to burger joint for Southern Californians. This location, like the others, is ALWAYS full, so be prepared to wait a few more minutes that you would any other fast food drive thru. The cheese burgers and fries are so simple, but still manage to taste amazing because the ingredients are fresh. Everything on the menu is good, including the shakes. I usually order a protein style cheese burger (makes me feel less guilty about eating fries) and fries well done (making them extra crispy). When I just want fries, I order fries animal style which means a slice of american cheese melted over fries with spread and grilled onions. Oh and don't forget to ask for the chili peppers if you want to spice up your meal!

In-N-Out - more than just a fast food joint - a cultural icon! While on a business trip in LA, I jokingly suggested In-N-Out Burger for our company dinner, and it turned out to be a big hit! I've been to LA before, so I have experienced the wonder that is In-N-Out. My colleagues were visiting from around the world--Asia and South America. Instead of taking them to a cookie-cutter restaurant, why not go somewhere that is uniquely LA? We didn't end up going for dinner, we went for lunch. As we pulled up to the restaurant, one of my colleagues suspiciously says, "This looks like McDonald's!" I know, what blasphemy! I guess red and yellow are popular colors for fast food logos! However, the super-fresh ingredients won everyone over. I tried a double-double, animal style for the 1st time--YUMMY! In-N-Out Burger...uniting countries with their tasty burgers and bringing nations together with their fresh-cut fries! I wouldn't be surprised if In-N-Out becomes the Official Burger of the United Nations. PS Their shakes are great too--thick and delicious!

Every single time I come to In-N-Out it is always packed. What amazes me the most is that I have never had a problem with my order; most fast food places will screw up my order easily, but that has never happened with In-N-Out. I always order my number one combo with a lemonade and am always happy and stuffed. I like the variations (animal style and protein style) and the fact that you can order as many meat patties as you would like. In-N-Out is always generous when it comes to donations (I work in a Library and they always sponsor reading programs, which rewards kids with gift certificates). Another plus, to this particular location, is that they have a dining room, which makes eating more comfortable and easier. The location, itself, can be a nightmare since patrons will have to find a parking spot amongst the Twohey's customers. If you are looking for a quick meal, stay away from this In-N-Out between the hours of 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

It's weird walking into this place. In HS I use to know people that worked there, and a couple years after that too. But now, new faces are serving up my double-double's. It's cool though, the burger tastes the same. By now everyone knows about Animal Style, but did you know you can order your fries in the same fashion? Good stuff. And yes, there is a difference between taking to go and eating in your car....the bag

I know, there are thousands of burger places out there. And a lot of them get a lot of hype. I hear that Five Guys is trying to compete with In N Out. I've tried Five Guys and I won't deny that they make a good burger. But nothing competes with In N Out. Maybe its because I'm a loyalist, but whenever I go to In N Out, I am never disappointed. I am always happy with my cheeseburger with grilled onions and extra crispy fries. For the price and for the quality, nothing beats In N Out.

I remember some odd 12 years ago or however long this location first opened up I was STOKED that there was going to be an In N Out less than 5 minutes from my house. When I was living in Laguna Niguel a couple years back, I had an In N Out literally around the corner and at peak meal times if I had my sliding door to my living room open, the aroma would waft right at me and beckon me to partake in its heart attack inducing goodness. Oh In N Out, how I love thee... So anyway, you definitely do notice an increase in consumption of In N Out when you've got one nearby. Wait, that wasn't my point..... So last night after I went to Bigfoot Lodge with a buddy of mine (review below), as we were leaving I got a hankering for some juicy In N Out. I told my my buddy but he wanted to go home because he had to work early the next day, so I dropped him off and the whole way home, I was thinking about In N Out. There were 2 In N Outs in Glendale near my buddy's apartment, but I decided to come here instead because it's right by my house and my burger would've been fresher. I got the #1. Double Double animal style, fries, and a Coke. Still buzzed, I lowered my windows as I left the drive-thru so the smell doesn't tempt me any more resulting in me attacking my burger while I'm still driving and more than likely getting in an accident. I'm telling you, it works... I get home and I inhale my food. My mom came in and instead of cringing that I was eating In N Out at 11:30 at night, she just simply asked me where I had gone and walked out. I would've gone to taco truck and seriously considered it because I just so happened to drive kinda nearby, but I already had it for dinner and besides, once I get a craving for In N Out, I'm like a bat out of hell for that sh*t....

I dread and look forward to coming to this In-N-Out. This place shares the parking lot with Twohey's next door, so it's always crowded. You'll be lucky to find a parking space. If you've never been here the drive-thru line is hard to negotiate and the lot can get really congested with what seems like the worst drivers in the world. I try to go in by driving around Twohey's and entering the lot from the back, just so my tailpipe's not hanging out on busy Atlantic Boulevard. Other In-N-Out drive-thru's are more straightforward. Other than that, best tasting fast-food burgers for the price. They take credit cards now!! Also, ask for the packets of special sauce to go; eat them with the fries! Oh well, who ever heard of an empty In-N-Out anyway?

I have to wonder how many traffic accidents have been caused by people speeding home to eat their In-N-Out...

  • Aaron C.

I love in n out! They're all very similar in appearance, layout, and very clean cut The workers are very attractive and helpful and the food is just as great. I usually order the combo number 1 with grilled onions and animal style fries, but if I'm hungry I'll be tempted to get the 4x4 burger(4 patties and cheese in one bun). Mmmm The only thing about a great fast food is the long lines! So get there ahead of time.

  • Steve J.

I'm an In-N-Out fan. I went through a rigorous process of trying every other famous burger in LA and comparing it to this excellency, until no other burger could match up. So that's right, all the big names that come up, I've given up. That's my commitment and credential. So why the four stars and not five? Mainly because I don't like this particular location. The drive-thru lines spill out onto Atlantic during lunch and dinner rush, but even worse is the parking layout, which is both small and hard to access (and shared with neighboring Twohey's). It's nearly impossible to get a parking spot here, and the drivers in SGV are some of the worst in the county, so it's always been a frustrating experience trying to sit down and eat here. If you come, at least avoid the lunch rush. Apart from that, they maintain good consistency throughout each branch (although I don't like the one on Sunset), so the food is just fine here.

i think this was one of the best ones i've ever been to. drive thru was nice and smooth, tho there were a few cars in front of me. i got my veggie burger with extra tomato... and they were not cheap on the veggies. the other in-n-outs usually just give me a few slices of lettuce... little tomato... but this time it was pretty jammpacked... i loved it. it was lovely... dont forget your well done fries :)

    (5)
  • Justin W.

Double double animal style fries...yummmmm! Always friendly service and their burgers rival some of the so called gourmet burgers...cheap eats can't get any better than In n Out. A must try for out of towners

  • V P.

My order is the double double with only lettuce and pickles ( Sorry I dont like the spread) and well done fries. Most of the time an iced tea to drink, if I'm feeling extra spunky then a root beer float. The lines move fairly fast and they're always friendly. The one thing I dont like is theres always cheese stuck on the napkins. I always have enough napkins but it's a constant thing. I still love my in & out though, prices cant be beat for the quality and food.

DUDE! What the hell. It's In N Out. Who the hell doesn't like a big ass 4x4 animal style? Well, I guess those pansy ass tree huggers who don't eat meat but, their opinion doesn't matter. The only bad part about this place is that they don't sell beer...ummm, beer. BBBBBBBBBBBBBUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRPPPP!!!

  • Angel R.

It was a Saturday night and I was glad to see that the drive-thru line wasn't wrapping around the block. I was actually quite pleased that my food was in my lap in less that 5 minutes. My plan was to devour my food at home but I proceeded to munch on the fries in the parking lot. I think I only had about 5. The fries were dry and not at all tasty. The burger wasn't up to par as well. To top it off, my drink wasn't well fastened so its root beer yumminess was soaked up by my carpet interior. I was having a bad night, I guess. I'd rather wait 30 minutes and have the best tasting fries and burger than the mediocre combo I had that sober night.

we've been coming to this in-n-out since as long as i can remember. i don't ever recall having a problem with any of the employees, they're usually really friendly or just there to work. none of them are ever disrespectful though. this place can get packed during the fall, all the high school students and sometimes their parents usually end up here after football games and school dances. i know this because we would do the same when we were in high school too hahah (: parking can be a hassle when it gets packed being that they share the parking lot with another restaurant. i usually get the number #2 with onions, no tomatoes, and buns extra toasted! if you're a vegetarian, you can order a grilled cheese which is essentially the same thing as a cheeseburger but with no patty. i've had it and it's just as filing (: you can also order your fries extra well done and they end up superrrrrr crispy (almost like chips!) or like me.. get your buns extra toasted! but if you do so, you end up waiting just a few mins longer for your oder. but itss sooo goood ! hahah :P once in a while i'll feel like i deserve an extra treat so i'll order myself a milk shake. instead of getting one flavor i always get the neapolitan which means they'll mix all three (chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry) flavors together! mmmmmmmmmm (: yummmmy. you can also ask them to cut ur burger in half if you dont think you'll finish it or if you plan on splitting it with a friend or something. thats what i usually do (:

5 stars, yummy, great quality, great service and inexpensive. What more can I say about In-N-Out ? If you haven't tried it by now, get out and give it a try ! I usually eat a double hamburger 'protein style' (no buns and wrapped in lettuce) and my wife loves the 'double-double' protein style.

every time someone goes on a vacation to the west coast, they always mention in -n- out burger... there is a lot of hype and i mean a lot of hype about this place on the animal style burgers and fries.. the few times i went to visit my cousins, they would bring me here.. it was packed! inside is packed and the drive through is packed (line goes out to the streets).. that's when i know this is serious! haha .. there is only a few items listed on the menu inside... but most of the people already know about the "secret menu" either by searching it online or heard from their friends..the animal style really compliments the burgers or the fries..they also have other combos like 4 by 4 or 6 by 3 (six meat patties and three slices of cheese)..thats what separate in -n- out from other fast food places... this is by far my favorite fast food joint..every now and then my cousins from Cali would rub in n out in my face because we don't have it here in Chicago and they know how much i love this place... its a matter of time before i return and reunite with the animal style burgers and fries!

  • Roanna N.

I LOVE In N Out!!!! The drive through was long and there's a reason for that! The burgers are awesome, their fries are fresh, thick shakes and good prices. The workers are always busy and always friendly and helpful! But for some reason they had an off day with their fries today. They were dry and not as tasty as usual...

    (5)
  • Jimmy W.

What's there to say that hasn't already been said? My favorite is a cheeseburger, protein style, with extra lettuce and tomato, whole grilled onions, and light spread. The fries are just ok, but I appreciate that they are fresh cut. But so are the ones at Five Guys, and those are better.

  • Ted A.

Sorry. I just don't get it. I never understood why people practically start writhing in convulsions and are insprired to speak in tongues at the mere mention of In-N-Out. Maybe because it is a southern California "institution" and people feel obligated to kow-tow to the hype that has been built up from previous generations. I imagine that In-N-Out must have been something back in the fifties. But when we have choices like Hamburger Hamlet, Carl's Jr., The Bucket (in Eagle Rock), Penny's (in Highland Park), The Oinkster (Eagle Rock again), and so forth, the prospective hamburger consumer may do well to ask himself whether In-N-Out is really up to snuff in comparison. I can still remember the first time I went to In-N-Out - only about six years ago. An ususally late encounter for a native Los Angeleno, I suppose. Maybe that is why I am generally unimpressed by In-N-Out. It was not a feature of my childhood. Therefore, I can judge this chain's merit without the crutch of teary eyed nostalgia. A complaint I hear again and again about Mc Donalds, the Big Mac in particular, is the size of the patty. No larger than an Eisenhower silver dollar, one cannot help but feel a little bit cheated. Most people I have spoken to agree. But when it comes to In-N-Out, not a single person perks up to exclaim the same grievance. Why? How come the Big Mac patty is too small but In-N-Out's, which is the same size, is somehow right? I would make an exception if the burger tasted something extraordinary - a burger so delicious that every bite seemed to speak to me of some glorious inner truth of life and God. But it does not! It is merely an OK burger. A Bernard Haitink in comparison to, say, The Bucket's Willem Mengelberg. I know that this review must simply outrage those who swear by In-N-Out. I am already expecting the brownshirted In-N-Out goons to come goose-stepping over to storm my house tonight. But I shall not be silenced. There are much better burgers to be had. In-N-Out's black-and-white, workman-like burgers cannot possibly compete, in my opinion, against the tasty, technicolored burger giants of today. I should note that the service at this particular In-N-Out is good. My score reflects my opinion of In-N-Out's food in general, not my opinion of this particular location which would get four stars.

I don't like burger and this is the first burger I like. Cheap and delicious just like this girl from my gym. Their patty is getting smaller now but it's still good. I only eat fries from McD & In N Out. I don't like eating at the restaurant because I don't want to smell like greasy burger. I want In-N-Out NOW!! I haven't had any American food in more than a week and I'm tired of eating HK food. Cheeseburger (no double double), fries and strawberry milkshake...so hungry..................

Love In-N-OUT! Too bad there aren't that many around! Great burger, great fries---I love how my bun always has a crunchy edge! I always order it with a raw onion and then take out the onion before I eat it---I think it gives it an oniony flavor without the zing of the actual onion--of course my husband thinks I am crazy and just imagine the flavor in my head-lol! Great place although it can get very crowded around noon time and drive-thru is hard to enter unless you go north on Atlantic before hUntingtion

I've always been a fan of In N Out Burger. They really don't need my review but I just wanted to say one thing about this location. We arrived and there was a drive thru line circling the parking lot and on to the street! However, we went inside and the service was fast and friendly. They got our order right and they even anticipated my needs before I asked! That's what I call good service.

Very central location, great for people who like hanging out around Pasadena and Alhambra area. Love the animal fries (in the hidden menu), strawberry shakes and cheeseburger! Can anyone recommend more cool stuffs from the hidden menu?

I'll have you know that I worked for INO for 9 years (I got hired at this location) and I ate a damn burger (at least one) EVERY DAY I worked, and it's STILL the only fast food I will eat. (Not to mention that I saw in a consumer magazine that McDonalds was the number one consumer of cow eyeballs in the United States cuz they use it as a filler in their meat). Phew! That was a mouthful! Or a run-on sentence. So anyway...my point is, take it from a former manager there that the food is 100% fresh and delish, and in 9 years I have never seen an associate sabotage a customer's food. The company truly truly cares about quality to the point where it's ridiculous. They have people that specifically go out to the different farms across the country only to pick the best produce available. INO also takes only the front chuck (shoulder) of the cow...which is the best meat, and sells the rest of the cow to other restaurants. We only have them in 3 states right now because the restaurants have to be within 8 hours driving distance of the meat department in Baldwin Park because the meat is delivered fresh every other day to all 200 stores. They have a QFC department that goes around to every store (and you never know when they are coming) to do checks on your quality, friendliness, and cleanliness at the store. If everything isn't excellent, we would get in trouble at the store. There are also mystery shoppers.....and many other systems of checks and balances within the company to make sure that the stores are clean, the customers are happy, and the food is perfect. They treat their employees better than any company I have ever seen, and just really care in general. And for those of you who have heard rumors, yes....to go into management, you have to start at the bottom, work your way up...and go to In-N-Out University. And for each of the four levels of management you have to go back for more training. The courses are intense too...let me tell you! They put some of my college courses to shame!! But they sure as hell make sure you leave there with burger pride, let me tell ya...I was more than just a burger flipper...I was an artist, a mentor, and an entertainer! We all know the food is good, I just wanted to give a little extra info...people are usually so in awe of In-N-Out, and it truly deserves all the recognition it gets. I could go on for hours with stories that would amaze you, but I am sure this little reviewski is already long enough considering there are like 3 things on the menu. ;-) Now go get a damn burger!

As far as burgers in SoCal go, this place is the best I've had (fast food wise). That being said, I find the burgers to be bland and the fries are always "bits and pieces" (would prefer to have them long like any other place). It's no Steak n Shake and certainly not G.D. Ritzy's, but alas, you have to take what you can get around here ("The Land of Bland"). Now, let's get to the meat of this. The drive-thru. Always packed. Fine. BUT, if you are one of those people who cut in line by entering the drive-thru from the parking lot and NOT Atlantic -- you're an a-hole. Hey, if there's no one else waiting, that's fine. But when you pull in front of other cars of people who actually went around the block to enter correctly, you're arrogant and rude. If I were Kathy Bates in "Fried Green Tomatoes," I'd ram your ass. I've also noticed that AT&T 3G service doesn't work well while you're sitting in the drive-thru. So much for killing time on Facebook while waiting.

So I'm at the drive thru fantasizing about biting into a juicy double meat hamburger with grilled onions, right. And I already ordered and was almost to the pay window.... *searches for debit card or any type of acceptable payment* Nothing. I left my wallet at home. I went into a state of shock and panic. "OHHH MYYY GODDD!!!!!" Vision went blurry, breaths became shorter ... What the hell am I going to do!? "Hi, a double meat hamburger with grilled onions, correct?" (window lady) "I am SO SORRY! I left my wallet at home ... so you could just put the burger in front and I'll come back to pay for it," (me with a sad face). "Oh, it's alright. Just take the burger and pay for it when you come back," (window lady). What?! Did I hear that correctly? She is giving me a burger for free with the trust that I would come back to pay for it? WHO THE HELL DOES THAT?! I finish the burger before I arrive home. I grab my card and drive back. "Hi, I'm here to pay for a burger because I forgot my wallet," (me) "Oh, how nice of you," (cashier lady) "No, how nice of YOU GUYS! Who gives free burgers?!" (me) "We do!" (cashier lady) Ha, and you thought I was going to talk about how good the burger was? We all know how good it taste already!

I love in-n-out. outside of pharos, hi-life and wonder burger, i won't eat at any other "fast food" establishment. and although i bestowed the 5 star rating upon them, this location is probably not my favorite. the parking situation is always poop, they share a lot with Twohey's. and as tempting as it may be to enter the drive-through line from Stoneman Ave, you'll find yourself looking like a big douche when your realize everyone else has entered from Atlantic and you can't squeeze your ridiculous SUV in line. on top of that, their fries-well-done are always hit and miss. some days they're phenomenal, others they're a little "too well done" and quite inedible. but location is EVERYTHING, and I wont be traveling to eagle rock or north pasadena for my animal style fries, so the alhambra loc has got my business for good.

Woohoo! The smell of burger and grilled onions fills the air. Take a deep breath and get your double double. I always tell my friends and family visiting L.A. that IN-N-OUT is only in CA. I would rolled down the window as we pass by Atlantic Blvd for the "fresh" air. This is my stop for a late night dinner when restaurants are closed after 10PM. It's great because there is no line. What's good? 1. Double double 2. half & half milkshake (Vanilla & Chocolate) 3. Fries If you are on a carb diet and crave In-N-Out, get the Protein burger (cheeseburger or double double). No buns. All ingredients are wrapped in lettuce. If you are really hungry, try the 5 by 5, 6 by 6, or as many beef patty as you can fit into your stomach. Just be aware that the lines gets really long during lunch (around 11:30PM-2PM), dinner starting around 6pm-8PM), and holidays.

OVERRATED FAD The popularity of In-N-Out is rightfully deserved. In a family owned enterprise where fresh ingredients, consistent offerings, and workers-rights exist, it is easy to see how this chain breaks the norm. Nonetheless, what In-N-Out has concocted is a cult following comparable to few, and who can blame them? Our longing for the archetypal drive-in reminiscent of 1950's, coupled with our lack of 'hip' places to eat and 'hang out' has propelled In-N-Out to stardom, NOT the food. Though prices are agreeable, and portions acceptable, the food is really not much to rave about. Despite how 'fresh' their fries may be, they're no tastier than a meatier version of eating Lay's Potato Chips, smother them with melted cheese, grilled onions, and fat, and then they become edible. The burgers do taste homemade, but at least on my book that defeats the purpose of eating out, especially considering one can replicate them and exceed the limited ingredient offerings they have at the restaurants. That said, this location is my favorite. Not so much for the food, but for the lively bustling atmosphere that abounds.

Only fast food place that's better than In-n-Out is Tops. Seating is pretty good at this one In-n-out kicks a$$. Though not much choices. You can get a burger, bread, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, special sauce, onions, shake and fries in anyway you want. If you like extra fat and taste you can try the animal style fries. And I like the knee-o-paul-e-tin (spell check sucked) shake. I've had friends do 6x6 burgers (6 paddies and 6 cheeses) but that is just sick and gluttonous, stop the gluttony.

Double Double, animal style, fry well. Done deal. This In-N-Out Burger has a tiny parking lot - shares it with another restaurant. The drive-thru can only be accessed from Atlantic Blvd and the line can get long. They do the very best they can to get you through as quickly as possible. I don't mind the wait, especially if the order is taken early in the line by the person with the remote ordering system. Makes me believe I'll get my fry well fried right! Overall this spot keeps a tight ship and I'm never disappointed by the consistency of the food. Go Go Gadget Burger!

C'mon people...5 stars for a hamburger and a side of soggy french fries? I've tasted better fries at hole in the wall mom and pop places then In-N-Out. I'm glad this corporation wanted to market " freshness " as their appeal but jesus christ make your french fries taste less like a car tire.

  • C P.

I Love their fries because they are w/o salt :) Their burger is fresh and juicy. Their shakes are good. The Atlantic/Garfield/Huntington fork can be tricky if you don't know the neighborhood well. Parking, as most people have mentioned, can be tough. Also, dine in is always more fun than take out. Just make sure you don't sit close to the plants because in summer you may end up with small flies hovering your burger.

  • Jonathan M.

So you hear that In-N-Out commercial on the radio and it always ends with "That's what a Hamburger's.. All About" Damn right it is! How could you go wrong with a juicy double-double with grilled onions and all the extras that go along with it. Though I must admit, the fries kind of taste bland to me... like they aren't crispy enough. Perhaps next time I'll ask for "well-done" fries, and see how that turns out. But that ain't gonna bring them 5 stars down! The shakes are pretty damn awesome too. Sucking on that straw full of chocolatey-vanilla-swirly crap makes me want to punch someone in the face out of goodness. Haha. Thank god for the cheap prices here! Saves me enough money to pay for the poor guy's health bills x_x Employees and service is another plus! Overall, In-N-Out is indeed, what a mother****ing hamburger is all about.

My favorite splurge for a weekend. It's definitely got to be a cheeseburger from In N Out - with onions! A side of jalapeno peppers are a must. My kids love animal style fries and extra pickles on their cheeseburgers. They have a secret menu - so you can pretty much order anything. Even the neopolitan shakes are so yummy. Parking lot is always crowded but they try to make due with the space that they have - I've noticed that most In N Out's have limited parking! Thus the drive in has a person standing there to take orders to speed up the process. LOVE LOVE LOVE IN N OUT!

  • Jeane C.

i don't know their "secret menu," but i'm perfectly fine with a double-double with grilled onions. if i forget/am feeling adventurous, the regular onions are fine but a little eye-watering for me. love their fries. they are light and oily enough without being overbearing. however, their milkshake gets old real fast. sometimes i'll walk in with a sweet tooth and order a strawberry (or chocolate or vanilla... depending on my mood) milkshake, and about a quarter into it my head and stomach are screaming, "regret!!" in other words, it's a little too rich and sweet for me to handle. this is definitely the place to indulge your glutinous desire, 'cause no matter how fresh the ingredients are, it's still fast food.

What can you say about In-N-Out? Simply the best fast food burger chain in world. The only fast food place I cant say "it used to be better". This place is usually busy, forget it on the weekends you will be waiting forever. Parking is ok, but on the weekends... Service at this particular place has always been awesome. They never get a order wrong (last time I was there was for a smallish party, 15 burgers all perfect). Too bad I cant eat burgers that often anymore, but damn I want one now.

Awesome burger place! I know many Chinese and they hate hamburgers, because they're not used to it. Because here in America we freeze and preserve everything. Not here, the meat is never frozen and the fries are made fresh. Although the wait can sometimes be long, a perfect burger can't be done in a mere minute. They can totally customize your burger, and unlike McDonald's they rarely mixed up my order, no wait, never! So if your relatives from overseas come or you got asian friends, come here, they'll dig this place, I guarantee it! Unfortunately they don't serve with a side of rice or noodles. Try to order your fries "well" aka "extra crispy" it tastes gr8!

lets face it... who doesnt love in & out? foods always great no matter what location you go too. burgers are juicy, fries are fresh, and animal style is to die for. but as with im sure all the others who have written reviews the drive thru is a tad bit awkward here. gets alittle crowded and goes down the street which for alhambra..... lol can get dangerous.

In and Out is one of those places which fall into the addiction category. I need to have my fix every two weeks or so. I love the double doubles with animal fries. The only thing I would advise is find out when they change the oil in their firers and go on the day they have an oil change. It will make you feel better.

i would actually give in n out 10 stars if possible... i adore this place...the double doubles are the BEST burgers I have tasted in my life.... everytime I bite into one...it gives my mouth an orgasm.... thank u for satisfying my mouth :)

There is a reason In-N-Out has the reputation it does. They do what so many other fast food places have forgotten to do. That is keep it simple and the best quality possible. I've had some amazing burgers at various and assorted places all across the country. However In-N-Out is the only one place I will return to regularly. Been going there when I need a burger fix since I was a kid and probably will until I croak or move out of state.

    (5)
  • Mark G.

Every In-N-Out Burger rocks but some are less than others and unfortunately this one was lower. If I would have reviewed this awhile back I probably would have given a 3 because they used to screw my order so much that I pretty much stopped going there for about two years and went to other In-N-Out. As time passed on my ban, I decided to go back and it seems like they figured something out because my order is rarely botched anymore so things have improved even though this location is still a bit chaotic. This spot is extremely busy and honestly the layout stinks for parking but whatever, its In-N-Out and they don't screw up my order anymore ;).

This in-n-out location is always packed! The drive thru is located at the corner of at atlantic and garfield, making the right turn lane impossible to get through during peak meal times. They do push it along though with someone standing outside taking your order to make it faster. Inside is just as crowded, with lines pretty much all the time. The parking lot is always a fight to find a stall. But overall, the burgers here are just as good as any other in-n-out. The staff is friendly and polite. They move the lines along fast and get your order just right.

  • Paul C.

Hey any in n out has good food but I'm not a big fan of this location because it's always going to traffic issue and it's just not very convenient. Hey also make over cook french fries with two little salt. The one in Pasadena on Walnut is consistently better. But then again the very best in and out is the one in Baldwin Park that one kicks ass

    (3)
  • Justin H.

Obviously one of the best fast food places out there- In-n-out is a southern California staple, and has been serving up the best in old-school burgers fries and shakes for longer than most of us have been alive- this spot is no exception (although the drive through line and small parking lot can get pretty crowded at peak hours) Special suggestions would include animal fries and Neapolitan shake- both of which are "off menu" items but everyone knows what you're talking about - and very delicious. The fries are especially good- it's a lovely thing when you can see the employees slicing up fresh potatoes for your fries- with a quick dip in bubbling oil- before they are laden with grilled onions, in-n-out spread and melting cheese (animal fries) SO GOOD even Anthony Bourdain said that In-n-out is the best fast food place! Go. Eat. Be happy.

    (4)
  • Fung K.

Overall, this is a great place to hangout. A bit traffic issue outside is just okay to make it gay with the family. All burgers are fabulous, especially the cheese and double2. I dislike the fries. Not enough salt and too hard. They should pay attention in this point to make all things perfect.

For the past two years I've been going to this In-N-Out periodically, ordering burgers (or a grilled cheese). Everyone in my family hates pickles. But every time... pickles. Now I feel that I should throw in that this is literally my only complaint. Sure, the fries can be a little over salted. The milkshakes are made with cheap Hershey's syrup. But it's no big deal. All the ingredients are fresh. The staff always has big smiles and is incredibly fast and efficient. Everything looks sparkling clean. 5 stars, easy. So what the fuck is up with these goddamned pickles? They put pickles on my very first 2013 grilled cheese at this location, despite my expressly saying "no pickles". I hate these impish veg-demons so much that I make a point of saying it anywhere I can smell them poisoning kitchen air. And sure, I'd been making pilgrimages out to Los Angeles for years, but the In-N-Out locations in Hollywood had never given me unwanted pickles. Day one: Alhambra In-N-Out is dumping these wet, lumpy interlopers into my sandwiches. This location has an attendant with a touchpad taking orders, subverting the difficult intercom service that has plagued fast food for decades. The attendant will smirk when I say "no pickles". I say "did you put 'hold the pickles'? I'd like you to." And they'll giggle and say "oh of course, of course sir!" They'll read it back to me and, at the end, look up reassuringly to make eye contact. "And that's with... 'no pickles'... right sir?" I'll confirm, thanking them with as much confidence as I can muster. I don't want to appear to be abandoning hope in Western Civilization, but I am. This customer service is unflappable so far, and yet I know it is about to fail me. Humanity is tattered at its edges, the middle class has been scooped out with a rusty trowel and dumped into a bloody pile atop Bernie Madoff's compost heap and I am but a grain of gristle. Yet this attendant beams at me and nods. "No pickles!" I head to the payment window. Here is where fate can fork into two different directions. Yet both terrible paths shall end in pickles. Sometimes the payment clerk says "hold the pickles". In this case, I thank them and perhaps make a crack about all the times I still got those monstrous hell-wedges, their sour infection blistering my palate. I won't put it like that, of course. I'll say something light-hearted. We'll laugh. Pickles, right? Who'd order pickles? I take my card and drive to the final window. Oh but sometimes I am reminded of my hubris already, so soon. Sometimes, still at the payment window, I hear nothing of pickles. Or worse, they say once in a blue moon, "pickles..." My hands do not shake. I calmly state my case for not wanting pickles. Adjustments and promises are chiseled into my receipt. But I know what is coming. That olive-colored abyss yawns before me, its gravity beckoning. Soon all will taste of pickle. Nothing pure will remain. When you are handed food at a California drive-thru, there is no time to properly "check" your order. My years in Chicago, where customer service in low-paying establishments is of course also terrible (Why shouldn't it be? Who the fuck wants to work at one of these places? I do not hate the attendants. Their hands are bloody, yes, but I have perspective. I just ask WHY. WHY PICKLES. WHO SENT YOU?), Chicago at least allowed that sometimes you'd need to open your bag, unwrap your purchase, and look for mistakes. You'd have 90 seconds after the hand-off. Not so in California, where everyone slept in and regrets every nano-second behind the wheel, some appointment somewhere already starting. I know my sack is dripping with the darkness I know so well. Its pungent fumes fill my car. Sometimes I will whisper, weakened, "no... pickles?" And the final clerk will smile. "No pickles here!" Lies. They are malebranche, the lumbering deceivers of the malebolge. I am some traitor to the Illuminati, their plan to slowly murder my kin and I with the emptiness of pickle digestion laid bare in the hollow smiles plastered above the bleached white aprons. What Tyler Durden hath wrought this upon me? Which Freemason did I besmirch? Why do you do this? WHY THE PICKLES. WHY. Sometimes they have stickers for my daughters. Better serving sizes than Pharo's across the street or Hi Life Burger down on Fair Oaks.

This In-n-out is kind of located on a weird intersection, so before anything else a quick ENTRANCE TIP: If you are trying to go through the drive through, you must enter from the west side on Atlantic/Garfield Blvd. If you are trying to dine in, and would like to avoid the massive car pile-up trying to get into the drive through, I recommend entering through the Stoneman entrance on the east side. That being said, PRO TIP: It's almost always a better idea to park and order inside the restaurant at this particular In-N-Out. I don't know what it is, but I've been living across the street from it for 23 years now, and I've never found a time of day where the drive through is even remotely as fast as walking in and ordering. With that being said, this is pretty much your standard In-N-Out. Located in San Marino, it's probably a little bit cleaner than most In-N-outs, and it's pretty decent sized, as well as located next to a Ralphs, 7-Eleven, and Pharo's Burger, so I would say it's not horrible as a burger joint. If you're craving some good old SoCal goodness, head over and grab a bite :)

FAIL FAIL FAIL EPIC FAIL. As I write this I am TRAPPED in a line that extends up Atlantic and have been SITTING in this line sandwiched between cars for upwards of FORTY minutes!!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE. Come here if you want to sit in a drive through for damn near an hour. NEVER coming here again. Their drive thru staff are CLEARLY among the most inefficient drive through staff on earth! NEVER AGAIN.

Are these burgers getting smaller? Where's the beef? I'm disappointed in the size of the patty and very few French fries they hand you these days. It used to be the best value around but not anymore.

*** review is based on service. My sister & I came here and ordered to stay and eat inside. We were order number 7. They called out all the numbers, and then they were all the way up to order 17 when I decided I should ask where my order was. They told me they didn't put the order through and that they'd do it right away. I was in a good mood & not in a rush, so I didn't mind. By the time they got to order 30, I was like okay this is ridiculous WHERE IS MY FOOD?! I asked again and they said they were making my fries. I told them I was waiting for my food for 30 minutes, I was order 7 and they were now on order 32, and that I thought I should get some type of discount. The girl went to the back to talk to a manager I assume, and I went to sit back at my table. Minutes later she came to my table and gave me a full refund along with my food. The whole time they were really polite. In n out is always busy so of course orders get lost, which is why I didn't get rude or angry. I was really patient and that's probably why I got the refund haha So, five stars for the service! My order took half an hour, but whatever, free in n out!

The best in n out. This one has parking, though limited which is better than the usual drive through models. It's the best fast food burger out there. Ask for your number one combo to be lettice wrapped, with your fries light, also for ur onions to be grilled. It will be gone in 60 seconds. You can pay a little more to sub your driving k for a milkshake but you will be comatose after.

One of my favorite In-N-Outs and the go to place for a quick bite. When in doubt, go to In-N-Out. I've had their burgers over the years and was never disappointed. They are consistently good, the burgers nice, juicy and tasty and the fresh cut fries, old school good. Even when they cater and are out on their food truck, it is still oh so good. I wish they also prepare the awesome fries as well, instead of a bag of chips (oh well). The staff are courteous and nice. The only knock on this location is that the parking lot is small and almost always full. The drive-thru is not much help either, cars lining out into the street. Their menu is very straight forward, no nonsense and simple, burgers and more burgers (none of that fish stuff here).I wonder if they will ever add bacon and jalapenos, hahahaaa, jk. May they never change their style (If it aint broke, don't fix it).

There's nothing like having late night In-N-Out when you're feeling hungry. This location is in a prime location at the intersections of two major boulevards in Alhambra. It's easy to spot, easy to park at, and easy to order inside or out. Bonus points for not being super busy like other locations.

In my opinion, in n out has the best burgers! They always have excellent service, they deliver your food quickly, and the food is zamazing! If you are hungry for a burger you should go to in n out! Their fries are really crunchy and fresh all the time and milkshakes are made with ice cream! Definetly a five-star rating!!

I like this place. They are fast with the orders and the burgers still taste great! Here is a tip if you want. A delicious burger. I suggest ordering a double double w extra everything and with chopped chilis animal style. If you're into no carbs then get protein style

Hello my fellow Californians!! I'm sorry to say that I have savagely deserted you for the East Coast. (For the last 10 years) Oops. NEVERTHELESS, I have remained viciously loyal to my sweet and precious In-N-Out Burger. If an East Coaster ever tries to tell me that Shake Shack or Five Guys or some other blasphemous east coast burger chain is better than my beloved In-N-Out, I straight up slap them across the face. (Not really). But I wish I could. There is no other "fast food" chain restaurant that can make a burger the way In-N-Out can. It's really a piece of art. So beautiful, I almost feel bad eating it (not really). Whenever you are on the west coast and lucky enough to be near one of these restaurants, don't be stupid and go there. Get a double double, animal fries, and maybe even a milkshake if you're really trying to TREATYOSELF. This specific location is the closest one to the house that I grew up in. It's only like a 3 minute drive away and I have such fond memories of waiting in the drive through for the most tortuous 30 minutes of my life. Only to be met by the most deliciously buttery bun, crisp fresh lettuce and tomatoes, juicy meat patties and gooey cheese assembled into a burger made for Gods. Followed by bites of perfect fries smothered in a gooey onion/cheese/special sauce concoction. I also love the huge safety pins the apron. Everyone that works here lives on the wild side of life for letting such a huge needle so close to their butts.

This location is traffic central. Located right by intersection of Atlantic and Huntington. Waits are usually pretty long. Try avoid staying in the right lane on Atlantic is you're not planning on hitting up in and out as there is a line usually backed up on Atlantic street. I usually like to order the double double when I'm really hungry or the grilled cheese. Of course I always need my animal style fries. Service is pretty good. They always get my order right. They do have small lot shared with Twohey's if you want to eat there but it's always full. Definitely my favorite fast food burger place for their quality and service.

In N Out has a great place in every Californian's heart. It's the must have if I have friends from out of town/ country. This location is ALWAYS PACKED! It doesn't help that they share a pretty small parking lot with a restaurant. And to be honest, I think they are slacking cause of the amount of business they get. I mean look at the meat! The patty used to be at least 1/2"! What In N out? you think you can cheat that 1/4" of patty with thicker veggie?!...we are not stupid. It's fortunate that you are just that good so once in a while I will still give in...

How can anyone not like in-n-out?!?!? I challenge you to compare this place to another burger place that has such a perfect burger made that is part of a combo that costs under $6!!!!! That's burger + delicious-to-die-for fries + soda for under or around $6!!!!! Yes, I'm a little too passionate about this place but eh, you know you love this place =P Around lunch time could get crazy because of all the drive-thru peeps, but if you're eating in and you've got patience, there's always a car leaving every 5-10 mins in their lot. Besides, it's worth the wait ;) Oh, random fact. Every in-n-out has 2 criss-crossed palm trees because the owner think of every one of his restaurants to be hidden treasures and X marks the spot!

I just waited 20 minutes for a burger and fries. My number is 5, theyre now on 16. Told me it was a mess up, how the heck does it take you 20 minutes to make a burger and fries?! Don't get it, not even that busy.

    (2)
  • Barbara D.

Lol 10 stars if i could. The parking is horrendous but try to break outside our mold and just park on the street, 2 hour parking everywhere. I'm sure the residents are happy about that.

I love In N Out Burgers. If I can, I would probably eat it everyday until I throw up and not want anymore... I think it sounds like I'm in AA or smoking rehab. haha. This is probably one of the busiest locations in California statistically because people constantly come throughout the whole day! Luckily the parking lot and it's dining area is large enough to accommodate most of the time if it wasn't during peak hours. But the whole day seems the same for them... busy! When you come here in the afternoon when everyone is having lunch, be sure to fight for a parking spot both in the parking lot and on the neighborhood street. Yes, this place is crazy crowded and even the two order takers outside serving the drive through is overwhelmed. Yes, this place is awesome. I love their burgers with grilled onions, cheese, and the sauce that goes in the burgers. Their is combo 1 which is a regular burger, combo 2 which is a cheeseburger, and a combo which is a double double combo with or without cheese. Anyhow, they also have a secret menu where they serve animal style burgers which is too messy for me to eat. They also serve the carb-less burger which is a lettuce wrap without the buns. Each combination comes with a bottomless drink, and a large order of freshly cut french fries. But knowing me, why even mess with my In N Out Burger with these options. Just eat and enjoy, and if you're very hungry... then just order a couple burgers. It's really not even that expensive, I think it's $1.95. I have also tried their strawberry and chocolates shakes. It's not bad, but it's comparable to the Golden Arches shakes. The employees here are friendly. There is a person who is always out in the dining area wiping down the tables and cleaning the floors since they are so busy. The order takers are professional, and everybody who serves smiles most of the time. Good job In N Out!!

  • Monique O.

South Pasadena/ Alhambra is lucky to have a In n Out at it's convenience. Small parking lot shared with Twohey's next door but performance of the workers are great and when it gets really busy there is at least one worker taking orders at the entrance to the drive thru lane so, you'll be ready to pay when your at the pay window. Dining area is well kept and bathrooms, too. The busiest and non-complaint Inn n out that I've known so far. Food makes you want to come back for more and more.

    (5)
  • Chimi C.

This particular In-N-Out is excellent. The food is great, the kids who work there are efficient, polite and professional. Anyone who complains about this place is weird.

    (5)
  • L. T.

Another in n out, but still the same taste. So I won't comment on the food, the drive is slower than others. If you have not been to an in n out, don't worry your L be happy with whatever you order.

    (5)
  • Jeffrey D.

Service here was as fast as I'd expect them to be with a full house. Friendly smiles, bustling kitchen and clean presentation. This is in-N-Out at its finest. You can't really write a stellar review of a fast food place, which is what this joint "...is All about!"...fast food, friendly service, happy taste buds.

    (4)
  • Aileen C.

Always clean and friendly staff !! Of course sometimes the wait is long but hey it's worth it. Food always taste fresh, never had a bad experience and it's been a few years of actively going. They have great hours. Seriously my favorite in n out of the handful I've tried.

  • Sergio Z.

In-N-Out is one of my favorite hamburger joint I really love. They use the freshest ingredients like fresh hamburger meat and the potatoes for their freshly cut French fries. . Now IN-N-OUT have completion like Fatburger, Five Guys, WhatBurger, etc. Overall In-N-Burger has loyal followers that enjoy the burgers and still keep going.. Any ways everyone like their burgers animal style including the fries.

    (5)
  • Don C.

Need to feed a family cheaply? Here you go. Great tasting little burgers with fresh condiments. I usually order two of the regular burgers to satisfy my hunger. The fries taste like cardboard. McDonalds fries are better. Always crowded inside and a very long line for drive through.

    (3)
  • Sam S.

I love this place, and it is always a special treat. First of all, 3 double-doubles, one burger, and 3 fries just for about 25 bucks. I will always enjoy in-N-out fro the rest of my life, the cheeseburgers are just so juicy and tender. Everything is a lot more natural than many other fast food places. I could eat it once a day everyday. That is how good this stuff is.

    (5)
  • Dee T.

Horrible, horrible, horrible attention to detail!!! The number of times that this location has prepared my order, incorrectly, is incredible . I asked for specifics and they make whatever they want. The person that takes the order seems to do a fair job of taking the order down.... they always read it back incorrectly the first time, and then seem to understand it after I explain it for the second time; however, my order is always BOTCHED! This was the last straw. I ordered animal fries with grilled and raw-chopped onions, and I received cheese fries with raw onions.... good job, guys! Also.... how about not putting the napkins ON TOP OF THE CHEESEBURGER?! What am I supposed to do with a napkin that has cheese all over it? Mind the big picture and pay attention to detail.... economics 101, people!!!!

  • Rishi P.

No burger ever can beat in and out! But I hate LA in and outs. Parking is horrific and drive through is down the street. You have to plan your timing to come here and be strategic like a military op just to not get caught in all the craziness. But I guess I can't complain too much since it's all worth it in the end.

    (5)
  • Juan F.

Closest In-N-Out from my house. Never disappoints. Always get the double double with well done fries, and the spread! Parking here kinda sucks cause its so busy.

Love this place. Only wish they had more parking spaces and two drive thrus instead of one.

  • Kevin T.

This is my childhood In n Out and it has always treated me well. When I moved to the east coast for two years I've had all those east coast franchise, but nothing is like good ol' In n Out. You know when you are a west coast kid if you got down that secret menu and all. My go to meal is a double double with grilled onion and whole raw onion with an animal style well done fries....mmmmmm..... Just writing that makes me hungry. I also like this In n Out because everyone working there is so helpful. Only problem is that it gets pretty packed when it gets close to closing time.

    (5)
  • Kevin J.

Probably one of the best places to get a burger. In and out focuses on the concept of simplicity. All of their food is made to be simple and easy to manage. Which ensures Top quality service. One of the things most people should ask for is the animal fries and burger. You won't be disappointed.

    (5)
  • Alan N.

The food here is good along with the service. Nothing else to say really except the fact that the drive through is long.

    (5)
  • Mike C.

Always good, always cheap, always a line! You know there's an in n out near when: 1) you see traffic building up on the street 2) you roll down your windows and the distinct smell builds an instant hunger With all these fancy burger joints in LA, sometimes you forget how delicious a double double can be. Realistically, in n out beats most burger joints in terms of value, taste and quality. Think about it: you don't have to wait for a table, you don't have to tip, you're not paying enormous prices for another disappointment, its always fast and delicious! Compared to $20 burgers, in n out wins hands down every time.

I can't believe I lived for 30 years without having an In N Out burger. Being from the Midwest I did not have access to this delightful place. Now I am hooked, and turn my nose up at most other fast food places. I would rather get in a 20 minute line here than suffer through eating another McFlamebroiled mystery sandwich even if it were free. Only complaint...the fries are only good for 45 seconds but I don't care.

    (5)
  • Emily W.

Regular visitor here for lunch. Love those burgers. Maybe too much. Drive up line always seems so long.

  • Lark F.

The two stars are bc the employees here have the patience of saints! This place is one of the busiest locations ever, their parking lot is full and their drive-thru line overflows into the street. The employees however, are super nice and quick. The food was fresh but I will never ever understand the hype of In'n Out in general. Even when I'm starving their food tastes mediocre. I really just hate their food and will never get it again. It's just doesn't do it for me and I don't think it ever will. Tip: it's better to order ur food inside than to sit in the long ass drive-thru line. Good luck finding parking tho, I think I just got lucky.

  • Monica G.

How can you go wrong with In N Out-the crown jewel of California? I am actually not a meat eater but I like to sometimes indulge in their grilled cheese sandwich without grilled onions and no pickles. My only gripe is that huge line to get through the drive thru as it literally takes at least half an hour. Fortunately the employees are friendly and make the wait pleasant and bearable.

    (4)
  • DIana L.

bomb dot com Friendly cashiers and amazing burgers. The only bad thing about this place is probably how crowded it is during the afternoon to night but just order to-go and eat in your car or house or wherever.

    (5)
  • Isaac J.

The great American burger. Done the way it's supposed to be done. I honestly could go on and on but if your reading this you probably have already experienced this. If you haven't then id like to formally welcome you to California.

  • Bryan G.

Always good to have In N Out. Always busy, so when it's lunch or dinner time expect to wait even longer. Try grilled onions on your burger. My friend told me and I've gotten it every time since. It may be faster to park and order instead of waiting in those ginormous lines all the way to the street. If your going to the Atlantic one, it may be best to park on the side street behind In N Out and turn before you pass In N Out because chances are the parking lot is full and the drive thru line is all the way to the street. Enjoy your burgers and animal style fries! Order a 4 by 4 if you dare...

After living on the east coast for five years, there are many reasons why it's great to be back in Los Angeles, and this In N Out is one of them. I've been coming to this In N Out ever since it opened, and my love for this place has evolved into a near obsession that I frequent almost once a week. For the price, this is the best burger around hands down. The bun: lightly toasted with butter that gives it a slight crunch around the edges, this pillow of deliciousness is the perfect exterior to a perfect burger. The patty (or patties): I always get a 3x3, and think that this provides the best meat to bun to veggie ratio. The meat itself is so beefy, juicy, and caramelized, only rivaled by Shake Shack on the east coast. But with three of these babies with cheese in between each layer, there is a juiciness and unctuousness that Shake Shack cannot compete with. The veggies: always fresh and full of flavor. The grilled onions enhance the beefiness of the patty while my go to of lettuce, tomato, and raw onions balance the patty and grilled onions with freshness, crunch, and acidity. The fries: I am in the minority, but I love In N Out fries. Why? They actually taste like potatoes! Great crunch and fluffy interior. Yeah they can be small, but when you eat them by the handful, that doesn't really matter does it? Actually, I think I'm going to go In N Out right now.

Food is always great. A few problems way too many people. Too crowded! Dirty floors and tables...flies...everywhere. They earned a star for the food but everything else was a failure. "Try again!"

Let me preface by saying that I am a huge fan of In-N-Out Burger. This review is based on numerous visits to this specific In-N-Out location. I go there several times a month, and almost always order the same exact thing; however, every single time they seem to mess up my order. I am always afraid to complain about it, for fear of my food being spit in. I guess it's not a big deal in the end because it still always tastes damn good. When ever I go to any other locations, my order always arrives exactly how I ordered it. Usually, at this location, the cashier reads the order back to me, accurately.... but when I get my meal, it's completely different than what I had asked for. This location should take some more time to ensure that the orders are being processed AND prepared correctly.

  • Abby D.

love in and out but this particular branch ..sucks! Food quality went down here, staff here is horrible as well and need to be retrained, the drive thru takes up to 30-45 min. To make a bad experience worst the guy that was giving us our drinks at the window sniffed my husbands drink, my husband said ," did you just put your fucking nose in my soda".. the kid replied I was sniffing it just to make sure it was dr. pepper. Eversince , our weekly trips to this place we drive a little far now to get our in and out fix. Becareful guys these new kids does not know how to handle food.

Service at the counter was friendly and fast. Food was as to be expected. But this place is disgustingly dirty.. Someone PLEASE come sweep and wipe the tables.

  • RJ D.

This In-n-Out is always too busy. It's not the location's fault. It's because the management hasn't opened up another location to accommodate the demand. Now, I understand management would rather come out with high quality burgers from highly trained and highly paid employees, but they are losing a big chunk of revenue. Also, real estate in California is super expensive and the wealthier areas around this location probably suffer from "NIMBY"-ism. I get it. These are things I've thought about while waiting 20 minutes for my burger -- when I have the time!!! But, let's open up another one! Open a location closer to Monterey Park or another location along Huntington Drive in El Sereno. Take out a loan and fast-track development! In-n-Out probably lost a lot of business a few years ago because they were the last ones to accept debit cards (Cash only!) Don't lose business by not expanding a little bit faster. Otherwise, you're going to lose market share to other high quality burger joints. Just my opinion...

What can I say that hasn't already been said??? Only 4 stars because they be blocking the intersection since the line is so long!!!

    (5)
  • Karen C.

Forget the drive-thru just park and order inside... that is if you can find parking in the lot that is shared with 2ee's. In-N-Outs are rare, and this one in particular is converged upon by customers from three adjacent cities, so the drive-thru line is always crazy. I like how they are open somewhat late, in comparison to the other restaurants in the vicinity. The order: Double Double- No sauce, mustard grilled, extra lettuce, extra tomatoes, whole grilled onions, and chopped chilies. Fries: No salt, Light-well (I've ordered well before and they killed it, more like potato sticks that you find in a cardboard tube can or bag) Takes care of a burger craving in a pinch. The fry nuggets is my current peev, I get the bad luck of getting them every time. I guess "someone" has to eat them... and that schmuck is me. =(

    (5)
  • Christina T.

Always packed, but who can turn down In n Out. I always go through the drive-thru and looking in, it's pack in there. It's like fish in a tank, drive thru can go up to the streets and around the block. Customer service are great, 10x better than McDonalds, the food also and big a** X-Large Sodas :).

    (5)
  • Linh V.

Maybe it's just me, but this location is nothing but SALT! Can I get some food with my salt?

    (2)
  • Tulio D.

Ordered a protein burger and got slop with wilted lettuce. I ordered a diet with no ice and The drive thru girl asked me to taste 2 different sofas to see if it was diet. Really strange! Then she gave me a diet with ice so I tell her i said no ice, she says yes that's diet I said NO ICE, she says so what kind of soda do you want? That tells me that these employees are on auto mode and not listening to the customers! Fries also had a chewy texture the them and they has a taste of fish telling me the oil must be old. I'm kinda done with this rest, I'll prob go to another at a dif location buy who knows.

  • Trisha W.

In N Out Burgers are always going to be tasty delicious and worth the wait. This location is a win. Nice and secluded-ish, decent parking even if it's busy. Excellent service, and the food comes out nice and hot without sitting around. Nice quiet crowd of mostly locals and families. Clean inside. The only downside is the wind factor. It's a very very windy area, so if you're not in the mood to get your hair and or dress blown then maybe just go to the drive thru... it's worth mentioning.

    (4)
  • Noelle P.

It's an In & Out so what is there to say. They have about 5 things on the menu, which is what you would expect. The drive to take forever because everyone loves them. They give you exactly what you want..... so 5 stars

    (5)
  • Mandy F.

Watching your weight and wanting to feel less guilt when your eating a burger. Protein style is the way to go! Instead of buns, you get tons of lettuce wrap around the juicy Delicious burger with cheese, special sauce, grilled onions and tomato!!! OMGWAD!! Doesn't fill me up but just hits the spot nicely. =)

  • Eric G.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed in the ying yang (I'm not sure if that's how the expression goes) and despite everyone frantically scurrying around Kristen( the prettiest cashier there[thats not single]) helped me out calmly and cooly. I had a great experience.

    (5)
  • Ana C.

I didn't know you could order your burger (1) anyway you want it, and (2) with anything you want it as long as they have it. So, I decided to switch it up a little bit from my normal regular burger or double animal style. Therefore, I ordered the regular Burger extra everything that was free: - extra toasted bun - extra mustard fried - extra ketchup - extra sauce - extra whole grilled onions - extra lettuce - extra tomatoes - extra pickles Note: you can order your meat Rare or Medium Rare, but it depends on the city you are getting the burger. City regulations. It still came out as $1.90 plus tax. Next time, I will tell them that I want jalapenos (and extra) inside the burger, and I want the whole grilled onions stacked between my beef patty and tomatoes because when they put the whole grilled onions against the bun, it made my burger soggy. (-1) Star because I like my fries thick like steak fries. (-1) Star because I wish the beef patty was thicker too. Not sure if patty has been getting thinner, or I am getting bigger.

Whenever I'm in the neighborhood, I stop by just to have the fries.

I wish we had one of these in Australia. Infatuated on the first bite. $2.32 cents for a hamburger, with dbl Onions! I paid close to $20 at Mario Bataldis (BandB, in vegas ) for a burger and I swear The burgers at 'In N Out' are better. I love how they let you serve yourself hot chilli peppers. And you don't have to TIP! I visited 4 other locations and this appeared to be the most busy. However it didn't interfere with quality, service, and establishment cleanliness. Back in 'Stralia now, and I'm pissed that I will unlikely have another opportunity to get 'sweaty' with one of these bad boys in the near future

  • Alan K.

Simplicity is nice. FOOD QUALITY: More than often fresh lettuce, fresh tomatoes, with hot-off-the-grill patties, and warm buns. When you bite into this burger, you get the combination of flavors married together: acidity from tomatoes (and their sauce), umami from the patty, slightly creamy and sharp cheese, slight sweetness from the onions, and sour from pickle -- all balanced with the grain of the buns with refreshing clearness of the lettuce. Crunch, chew, creaminess, and heartiness are all part of textures that somehow molds everything together. Fries are usually fresh, and they're generally seasoned well (and they give you more salt if you so desire.) Balances well with burgers, so it becomes somewhat of a complete meal. ENVIRONMENT: I hate finding tables here after 6PM for dinner. 'Nuff said. It goes to show that not all burgers have to be gourmet to give you that satisfaction that you've had a good meal. It's not the highest quality of ingredients, but it's definitely something that brings a perfect solution to affordability and good-great quality.

Fast burgers, nice service, clean facility ... you can always expect these from an In-n-Out. My boyfriend and I come here often-ish, when we are in need of some good burgers. I also love In-n-Out fries. They're not spectacular in any special way like waffle fries from Chick-fil-A or curly fries from Arby's, but In-n-Out fries are just so good! They are always crispy and so soft on the inside. They manage to make them thinly cut but also so filled with potato. My boyfriend knows how much I love In-n-Out fries. These I don't share with others.

I rarely crave for burgers, but if I do, you know where I'm at. You're crazy if you're from LA and In-n-Out isn't your place for a burger fix. We can't be friends either. Period. Service is always fast and friendly, even customer service on a holiday. I even received a personally written Christmas card from them. Now that's how tight we are. Stop by and get a burger, fries and soda! Don't forget the extra spread for dipping sauce.

    (5)
  • Lisa C.

I love in and out burger. Every one that works here are friendly and the food is always consistent. The only thing is the fries are only good when it is hot. Just wish sometimes the lines are not so long and Parking is easier to find.

  • John D.

Not all In n Out chains are equally good! I've a couple bad experiences with this one. My whole group got food sick from this spot one time. Aside from that, the food just isn't as good when people think of In n Out. My burger and fries tasted stale or just really off from what I remember at other In n Outs.

I love In-N-Out and this location never lets me down. It can get BUSY here. I'm impressed by the employees smiling, being friendly and doing a good job no matter how late or how busy it is. The food is always made just right. It seems they always double or triple check my order along the way and I've never had any problems here.

My In-N-Out craving is usually satisfied with the following: Cheeseburger animal style, both onions, extra lettuce. Ketchup on the side. Chili pepper on the side. Fries. Not too fried. Yum. This In-N-Out is busy, but management seems to have a good handle on things. No complaints here!

Really like the food and price of their hamburgers. Like every other in and out burgers, they are crowded during all hours of the day, especially during lunch and dinner.

To be quite honest, I've never been a huge fan of in-n-out. Wait! Don't crucify me just yet, fellow Californians. Let me explain myself. When I first visited california, probably around 10 years ago, I was blown away by the concept of in-n-out. Unfrozen burger meat, cooked to order and topped with fresh veggies? Coming from a small town in the south, I was amazing by the quality a fast food restaurant could provide if they wanted to. Now, however, having experienced fatburger, five guys, and all manner of smaller one off establishments, I'm no longer blown away by in-n-out. Would I rather eat at one than swing by mcdonalds? You bet. Would I pick in-n-out over any one of the independent joints, or even five guys over in-n-out? Hell no! It's all relative. So, while I'll still enjoy a double double animal-style every once in a blue moon, I don't go out of my way to do so.

Always consistently good and excellent service. I live closer to the one in Hollywood but its always busy and traffic sucks, Glendale doesn't have a drive thru, so if I'm driving, I'll venture to this location, the best in my opinion.

How can any Californian give this place any less than 5 stars. I've been eating In-n-Out since I was a kid and I remember growing up in Alhambra when plans were announced to open this spot up the street from my current burger spot Pharos. (which depending on my mood I still prefer because, bacon) I remember when this In-n-Out and the company period was cash only, that was the main drawback to ever going to In-N-Out is that you always had to have cash on you when we're in a world of ATM machines. I'm sure if that were still the case this place wouldn't be 50 percent as busy as it is now. Like other reviews have said it shares a small parking lot with a one way only driving configuration next to Twoheys Restaurant. (great pancakes and french toast btw). Close to a lot of schools in the area too so it's normally riddled with teenagers who are just hanging out. Which isn't a big deal, I've never had a problem finding somewhere to sit when eating here. The food quality has pretty much been spot on over the years and I am amazed that In-n-Out has been able to maintain the quality of their food over the years. Along with the secret menu, animal fries, the delicious milkshakes. This will always be a go to spot for myself and any friends visiting from out of state.

Would usually rate a 5 star, but tonight, our order was unusually slow, and when I checked with them, there was some confusion. It almost seemed like they lost the order! However, when we did get the food, it hit the spot like it always does! Additionally, I will have to say that as tasty as their fries are usually, what REALLY IRKS me about their fries is that for some STRANGE, UNKNOWN reason, they ALWAYS have a bunch of TEENSY-WEENSY, ITSY-BITSY, SHORT, TRUNCATED fries at the bottom of the paper tray. They HIDE these SHORT fries with the nice, regular, BIG/LONG fries on TOP. Anybody else notice this about In-N-Out?!?!? I find this the STRANGEST thing - cuz if you ever look into their back kitchen where you can see the employee(s) who are working on the POTATO / FRY cutting machine - you know, where they put a BIG / LARGE potato into that large stainless steel machine with the lever, where they pull down on the lever, and the CUT POTATO FRIES come out the bottom, right (?) - I swear, I've stood there for like 5 or 10 minutes while I'm waiting for my order to come, and I'm just checking out what the employees are doing.....and they **ALWAYS SEEM** to be putting in these HUGE POTATOES.....and so my point is, if they're always using HUGE HONKIN' TATERS, where the HECK do all 'dem SHORTIE FRIES come from?!?!?

If you're mad at the world, why do you work the register? This location is no different than any other In-N-Out restaurant: Busy and packed with juvenile delinquents. Having been to many In-N-Out locations over the past 20+ years I'd never imagine an experience such as tonight. Service: 1/5 What crawled up the drive thru cashier's butt and died? She was a total bitch! Why even pretend to "be friendly"? She was a frickin' angry lesbian, copping a 'tude. No smile. Simply not friendly. Tone of voice was unpleasant and rude! I've never had an In-N-Out cashier shove things at me! Double Double Animal Protein Style: 2/5 Why the he'll did this burger take like dish soap? I've definitely had better Protein Style burgers at other In-N-Out locations! They're lucky I'm giving this 2 stars! Double Double Animal Style: 5/5 At least they got this one right! It wasn't as juicy/messy as normal which I was perfectly fine with. There was the perfect amount of dressing. French Fries: 4/5 Hot and fresh, they actually served me more fries than a normal order. I will interject that there were quite a few dark brown soggy fries under the top layer of golden colored fries. Iced Tea: 1/5 Tasted sour and was a little slimy. Definitely was not fresh. Who in their right mind would boycott an In-N-Out based upon a solitary uniquely terrible customer service experience and for the first time, inconsistent food and beverage? Dear Manager: If you have a person working the register who is having a bad day or is plain rude/snippy, take them off the register, please! They are the initial representation of your business and have the ability to cost you future continued sales.

In and Out is by far my favorite burger place. Though this restaurant has a long waiting all the time but love coming here. My absolute favorite is the secret menu animal fries.

Quality, nutritious, guilt-free, comfort food on a stressful workday. Can't go wrong with a medium-rare DD, with grilled onions and no salt. No fries for me. Make that (2) please! You have got to dine-in and have these on the spot. The cheese has yet to solidy waiting to be scooped up by you. This location is wild. I recommend that if you decide to go to this spot, make it before 11:45am or expect longer than usual wait. Drive-thru is ridiculous and for the die-hard. Service is impeccable. Thank goodness for In-N-Out University. There is a tow truck surveying the area for parking violators.

I love coming to in n out and I probably won't eat at any other fast food joints other than here ! I love how their burgers and fries are made fresh and they put lots of lettuce in their burgers (: so it doesn't make me feel as fat when I eat at other burger joints too , I do dislike how their burgers and fries are oily ( but all fast foods are like that so I can't really complain ) and the lines are long , other than that , this place is great ! I will definitely come back !

Yep... I decided to do my 200th YELP review on an In-N-Out burger!!! It's been over a year since I had one and the first thing I did once off the plane was high tail it on over to here!!! I love, love, love their hamburgers, fries and special sauce!!!! There is nothing even remotely close to an In-N-Out burger in Charlotte (moved here a year ago, but moving back, thank goodness!) I was so excited when I got to order my #3 with whole grilled onion and a side of sauce. Not sure what happened, but I use to be able to eat an entire burger and half the fries. I tried, trust me... I gorged myself. But I guess my stomach has shrunk. I was so completely and utterly satisfied all that could have made that experience better was if I had a beer as well! This location is extremely clean and busy. They have outside seating and overall it was better than expected! I love In-N-Out... def a staple for this Californian gal. Can't wait to move back to So Cal!!! If I could hug you, I would!!!

I've been coming here once a week for the past 5 years! (No I'm not fat) lol. But seriously, they haven't messed up my order EVER. Not once! The employees are ridiculously hard working and my burgers always taste great. Is it me or does every in n out taste different? Great! But different! Haha, maybe it's just me but ugh I love in n out especially this one!!

Who the hell doesnt love In N Out? The food is always fresh and consistant, cheap and filling, right? So imagine my disappointment when i got home and pulled out cold, hard, dried out fries from my bag and a burger the size of a McD's cheeseburger. I only live 5 minutes away, so there's no way my fries could have gotten that cold. And my cheeseburger? I ordered it animal style. It had one piece of limp lettuce and a paper thin slice of tomato. There wasnt even pickles on it. But you know what there was plenty of? SALT. The burger was 3xs as salty as it normally is. I hope this was just because they seemed a bit more busy than usual and prepared everything in a rush. Does In N Out franchise? Could it be that Asians took over as owners and the measly lack of toppings is gonna be the new norm as a means of making more profit? And before you call racism, I am Asian. If you've been to an Asian restaurant in Alhambra, you know damn well what I'm talking about.

Food is great but the wait times are horrendous. Here I made the mistake of thinking I could grab a burger in under 30 minutes before it was time to go train. 30 minutes later I'm still trapped in line with no end in sight. To make matters worse I asked the cashier what's up with the long wait and he laughed saying this is just the way it is and that's it. I've been to the same location when there was more traffic in the drive-thru and inside, heck the parking lot was only half full at the time. Anyways, we can all agree the food is good but they wait times is ridiculous.

  • J J.

So gooood! I prefer a cheeseburger, animal style, with fresh onions. This place is usually busy. Make sure to enter the drive-thru from Atlantic - not through the parking lot. One time, this couple cut the drive-thru line by entering from the parking lot and one of the employees gave them a lecture about it.

I love In-N-Out, and has been in this location many times since it is the closest to my home. However, after the last time (Thursday, June 12, 2014)I went there - it was a day not easily forget - I had a stomachache after 30 minutes, and had to go straight to the bathroom. It was within the typical time frame when you have a bad food. My wife thinks that it was the soda since she was fine and she did not drink the soda. I wonder how many other people had the same experience on that day... I will skip this location for a while.

  • Jonathan S.

In-N-Out's been jacking up the prices since the last few times I've been to such establishment (not necessarily this one). But I'm sure prices at every other fast-food establishments have been going up these days, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Anyway, this place is ALWAYS packed (like the one I usually go to in Huntington Beach off Beach Blvd and Talbert)...no matter what time it is. I was on my lunch break earlier today from work, and even at 1:00 in the afternoon, there were still people placing orders for their lunches. The atmosphere itself is clean, like how a 1940's-1950's "diner-like" establishment should be, and the staff members were always bubbly and free. I ordered the animal style double-meat (no cheese), and the patty tasted juicy to my perfection and vegetation of the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and crisp. Although, when I had told them I wanted GRILLED onions instead of raw, they put the raw onions on my burger anyway...oh well, I still managed to eat the whole thing. The fries were piping hot, and not soggy. I'll return if/when I get a chance. :) An In-N-Out in Alhambra is just like any other In-N-Out anywhere else (the BIG locations, that is...). :)

  • Sarah J.

I simply cannot understand how this place is so popular. Whatever sauce it is they put on their burgers and fries is just awful! I am not a fan. Maybe I'll give it another chance in a few years, but for now, it isn't worth the wait.

    (2)
  • Robert W.

If I'm gonna spend 6 bucks on a burger, it sure as heck is not going to be Carl's. Or anyone else for that matter. I even have the hook-up on fresh White Castle from a former owner who currently owns a cafe on Alhambra's Main Street. Got myself a burger and some animal fries last weekend, great as usual, but I figured I'd take this opportunity to ask what the heck is up with the new girl at the drive-thru who charged me for the extra cheese I ordered but never received and gave me my to-go order in an in-car box?

    (4)
  • Suzy B.

Like all In-N-Outs, the drive-thru lines are crazy long. This day was no exception. The line was actually holding up traffic on the street! I think I was in line for 15 min, kinda long. But well worth it. I ordered a cheeseburger with grilled onions, and easy thousand island dressing. Side of fries and a coke. For my husbands, I got him a double double with grilled onions, side of coke, and a chocolate shake. We were both well-satisfied with our meals. I would give them 5 stars but didn't for two reasons: (1) My coke tasted like a DIET coke. Not cool. I actually tasted the drink right after I paid and stepped on the gas pedal to leave the drive-thru. I was seriously less than a foot away from the window where I got my food. I could have reversed and told them about my drink but the person behind already had started to pull forward when my car was moving. Because of the long lines and limited parked spots, I left with a diet coke. But I was annoyed about this. This leads into my second reason for deducting another star. (2) This In-N-Out shares a parking lot with Twoheys Restaurant. Both places are always busy so parking can sometimes be a nightmare. Also, the entrance to the drive-thru is best when accessed via Atlantic. Any other way is a nightmare getting in line for the drive-thru. Because of the parking and the weird entrance of the drive-thru line, I had to take away a star. The inside of the place is nice and tidy. Standard yellow and red colors. Staff are friendly and seem to enjoy their job. They appear to be in a good mood.

  • Dee A.

In-N-Out is my favorite burger joint. The food is always fresh and the price can't be beat. There is always a long line of cars waiting no matter what time of the day. I eat there at least twice a week. I normally order the cheeseburger animal style and fries. Each and every time they never disappoint. They are consistent with their quality and they have great customer service.

    (5)
  • Natalie K.

I have always been impressed with the efficiency of In n Out. Despite the long lines and packed restaurant, they move everything along very quickly. All the employees are friendly and always working on something. I used to get the double double animal style but now I get the cheeseburger animal style instead. I also get my fries animal style. You can ask for extra sauce packet too. It's cheaper to just get regular fries and add the sauce. The only down side is you don't get the onions.

    (5)
  • Sandy P.

Definitely one of our favorite go to spots when we can't figure out what we want to eat. Love their fries! Those who like their fries extremely crunchy, ask for your fries to be well done! Nom, Delish. Protein style if your trying to cut out carbs:)

Writing this review solely because of the service. Came here one day and I took off my invisalign. Didn't realize it was still on the tray when I threw it in the trash. Came back later explaining to one of the servers and he personally rummaged through the trash to look for the invisalign himself.

I never get a chance to eat IN-N-OUT, especially after my new diet regimen, so for my cheat meal AND anniversary dinner, I told the boyfriend I was going to pick us up some cheeseburgers! Yea beetches.. WAIT: I was in a panic because it was 7:30pm and I was the seventh car in the Drive Thru, which meant I was awkwardly sticking out in the middle of the street and blocking traffic. IN-N-OUT has two Drive Thru lines which snaked out into moving traffic, so I was sure I would be stuck in the back for a while. To my surprise, the cars moved. It was stop and go traffic, I would sit there and wait for a bit, and then four cars would disappear. Seeing that the line went by fast was a joy! STAFF: On busy days like this, someone comes out to take orders. I didn't have a simple order, but the woman was patient as I described what I wanted. I was amazed that I got exactly what I want at the window, and I didn't have to wait long! I'm thankful that IN-N-OUT takes care of their employees, because the workers here don't look like they hate their lives, they smile and seem happy, and I get exactly what I ordered. I love it! ORDER: I was extremely excited to have IN-N-OUT also because I looked up the secret menu online. After much debate, I decided on the following orders... - NUMBER ONE: well, technically a three:one, which consists of three patties, one slice of cheese, with a grilled onion. Fries and a Diet Coke. - NUMBER TWO: mustard grilled, medium rare, with grilled onions. I also asked for another Diet Coke and well-done fries. FOOD: The Number Two with a mustard-grilled patty served medium rare, grilled onions, pickles was my baby. I wanted to get a protein wrap but I am a fan of the bun, I love how the bread is slightly toasted and buttered. The patty seemed thicker than normal, and the sides were oozing with sauce and cheese. The bun is soft in my hands and becomes deflated as I wrap my hands around my cheeseburger. My first bite was heavenly: I love the texture of the soft bread in my mouth, I love how juicy and fresh my beef patty was, and I love all the sauces marrying together into my sandwich. The onions were nice, but the pickles were a better surprise. This Number Two was perfect for me: all I really wanted was a juicy patty smothered with creamy sauce and onions, while enclosed in a soft, buttery bun. If heaven served burgers, I wonder if they'd taste like IN-N-OUT

In-N-Out, I've been waiting for you. A decade of resolute abstinence from your spongy saucy charms, and then a year of longing and missed opportunities. (Vegetarian for at least half my life, then became omnivorous again a year ago and moved to Texas, where there ARE NO IN-N-OUTS :( ) So it's been a pretty glorious reunion. My only complaint is that I've had better fries. The cheeseburger I had totally hit the spot though.

With my nephew visiting, I ate In-n-Out three times in the last two days. He goes to boarding school back East, so there's no In-N-Out there. This location always seems to have a long, long drive thru line. My nephew and I ate inside each of the three times we ate here. Everything is fresh and fantastic! The first time I had a double meat hamburger with an order of fries. My nephew had a double double, fries and strawberry shake. The second time I decided to try protein style, so I had a double burger protein style and an order of fries. My nephew had a double double, fries and strawberry shake. The third time I decided to change it up again and had a triple meat hamburger, but no fries. My nephew had a double double, fries and strawberry shake. Each time they got my order correct. The wait time isn't too bad for how busy this location is. Yay for In-N-Out! Xie Xie!!!

I kinda feel bad for the Pharo's Burgers across the street. Their overpriced patties can't even begin to hold a candle to In n Out's perfected formula. I'm going to keep this brief because most Californian's who aren't vegans or vegetarians really know "what In n Out is all about." Double double with grilled onions and a coke would be my last meal on Earth if I were given the choice.

    (5)
  • John W.

In N Out makes great burgers. I love the protein style. At least once a week, I get two protein style burgers for lunch. I also like the cooked onions in the animal style. Make sure to order the fries "well done".

Whoops!!! I accidently ordered 2 double doubles with extra onions today....and a flying Dutchmen for my Chihuahuas Birthday... Chihuahuas were very happy with their Flying Dutchmen... But somehow after accidently ordering 2 Double Doubles, I then accidently ate them as well...I must be suffering from early onset fatness or something... No..... one wasn't enough.... They smell too good.. I should apoligize, but how can I? Yes I admit I was over stuffed...but Damn, just fuck me dead...those things are the best....I can't regret it...and yes I will do it again...I'm sure it has to be a better habit that hitting the crack pipe...In & Out is my heroin, I don't inject it but I do inhale!!

What can I say? the song say it all "That's what a hamburgers all about"... Fresh tomatoes lettuce onions and hot cheese. My favorite are the fries because they are not grease as other burger restaurants. The restaurant is very clean and they are friendly and fast. It does get very busy but well worth the wait.

I ordered fries with a burger and asked for a box and lid. As I was driving home, I ate almost all my fries but decided to save the burger to eat at home. I arrived home excited to eat, opened my box and my appetite was quickly lost. I had in the box what appeared to be a FRIED INSECT/ROACH. I grabbed it with my napkin and examined it and it definitely did not look like a french fry. I tried to open it apart to possibly examine it more, hoping that it was not an insect, and what appeared to be its legs ripped apart to the side of my napkin. I thought of taking it to the manager but didn't want to drive all the way back. I assume that they will only give me a half ass apology and free meal coupon anyways. So I decided to make a yelp account instead to share what I found in my in n out dinner tonight that I bought at this Alhambra location. Hopefully, this will not happen to you too. I'm sure if there's one roach, there are many more. I posted photos as well.Click on my photos link or scroll to picture 155 & 156.

Honestly, I think everyone I know has eaten at In-N-Out at one time or another.. Even my vegetarian friends, that's how powerful an icon it is. Also I think they have decent veggie burgers, but still, for the money, few will argue that In-N-Out has one amazing burger!! This location is #2 only to the Arcadia In-N-Out in terms of line speed, quality of food, bun toast factor, and many other made-up categories.. Now that I think of it though, I've been here well over a dozen times and every single time it has been great! I honestly don't know how they do it? Some form of magic? Oompa Loompas? An unholy pact with the devil? Ghosts? Their website says it's the classic menu, awarding-winning training, fresh ingredients, and passionate workers.. I dunno.. Maaaayybbeeeee.. Whatever it is, I hope they keep it up! When I'm craving a burger and only have $2, there's no place I'd rather go!

Being that this location is at a large intersection connecting Alhambra, South Pasadena, and San Marino, it's undoubtedly crowded. I came here at 11 pm and it was packed. Sometimes it's faster to get food inside than doing drive-thru. This In-N-Out is like all other locations I've been to: great service and fresh food. The consistency is what amazes me: the people working there are always courteous and the burgers/fries are extremely good for fast food. The menu is deceptively simple. Once you get your burger Animal Style, you'll never go back to regular.

When you're feeling down In N Out makes everything all better. I had a very late lunch here yesterday and a burger sounded good. There were a few people in line when I walked inside. I ordered a #2 Animal style with no tomatoes wtih well done fries. The food took about 10 minutes. Order#72 is ready, that's me. I grabbed my burger and was in heaven. I devoured it quick! I asked for some peppers too. Those have a huge kick to them but they are soooo good. I enjoyed my fries but I wish they could have been more well done.

We all know why we go to In-N-Out. We go because we are on a diet. Protein style single patty burger with no cheese or spread, but it is still delicious. :)

I live just minutes away from here and it can be quite a challenge resisting myself from dining here more than once a week. The alluring fragrance of their burgers never ceases to drag my guilty conscious here .. sometimes even after a long workout. :( Always gotta have my double double and a side of welldone animal style fries. Cheap, delicious, quality food, but do expect a bit of a wait, this location as others have mentioned is always busy!

What's not to love about and hasn't been said about In-N-Out Burger? This is the most popular one around the Alhambra, San Gabriel, Monterey Park, San Marino area. This will always be the default burger joint over McD, Jack, Wendy's, Father's Office, Hole In the Wall, Slater's 50/50 for me. Parking is a b*tch as the drive-in always blocks the entrance because this location is so popular. Tip: Go to the outside right turn lane that turns into Huntington and then turn into the driveway if you want to eat there. Double Double, Animal Style Fries, Arnold Palmer, and it's a rap! - Combo's are the same price as ordering items regularly if you all didn't know.
