Went here on the way to and on the way back from San Diego. I had been wanting to try it for a while after hearing all the amazing burger, but expensive burger stories. The stories are all true. The first time we went, I had a cheeseburger (the regular ones are doubles, the smalls are singles). I only had a couple of toppings and thought it was alright. We had the salted fries which weren't that great, but were ok. The second time around I got more toppings and the small bacon cheeseburger. It was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. I had the cajun fries, and they were fine, but not amazing. I would say this is my favorite burger place. There's a lot of comparisons to IN-N-OUT. I think this place is better, but while I think IN-N-OUT is a good burger I've never understood why people think it is as great as they do. The problem here is it gets expensive. So I wouldn't eat here that often because I'd go broke.

It is a nice place. I love that customers can eat peanuts while waiting for their food to be ready. When I was a meat eater, the hamburgers there were incredibly good. I now eat one the employees make but instead of meat they add mushrooms. It is really good, as well. Prices can be a little higher than other fast food restaurants, but I feel it's worth it.

I'm all about 5 guys when it comes to burgers in Yuma. I feel slightly skimped out on fries in this one though as opposed to other 5 guys I have been to. The staff is pretty chill. And the music selection is most excellent.

First of all, I have to confess that I love Five Guys and have always found it to be dependable and consistent. So you can imagine my dismay when we stopped by here a couple of days ago and my burger was totally overdone and without the requested condiments. My husband's was overdone also. I called about it and was told to come back by at my convenience. When I went back a couple of days later, the employee first asked if I wanted my money back; when I told him I just wanted a replacement burger, he confirmed what I wanted on it. I told him that my husband had eaten his even though it was overdone. I honestly just expected a replacement of my burger, but he replaced both burgers and the fries! This order was perfect and of the quality we expect from Five Guys. This is excellent customer service.

I didn't get offered peanuts. Cup was given to me upside down...eww. The servers were courteous and friendly... they had no hot dog buns so I had to wait til they ran out to get some. They wouldn't give me half regular and half cajun fries. AND it cost me an arm and a leg... BUT I repeat, The servers were courteous and friendly! There was one guy always wiping table and always checking on me. If it weren't for the hospitality that way, this weary, 7 hour drive, traveler would have been BIG time mad and tell everyone to stay clear. Amazing what cleanliness and kindness can do. I'd go back. +++ The food. Fries were eh. Burger was GOOD :) but I've had better. I REALLY liked the hotdog as far as hot dogs go. Fun soda machine. Clean bathroom.

This is definitely not just any burger joint, for that reason you do pay a little more than any fast food place or even in n out for that matter. This is the place to go when you want to eat a quality burger. I love mine with mushrooms and the cajun seasoned fries. Their soda machine is probably the best in Yuma with a touchscreen. I know many places have them now, but to see a soda machine like that in Yuma is great. Complimentary peanuts. Yeah it is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Will eat a 5 guys any day over in n out.

Expensive, but solid food. I have no idea how anyone could compare them to In N Out after eating their fries. Five Guys fries are fantastic while I found In N Out's fries to be so dried out they were inedible. Love the free burger toppings and extra fries spilling out of the container. Portion sizes are big. Come hungry. Dining area was clean and the staff was attentive. Unless you're feeding a huge family, spend the extra money and go to Five Guys.

Excellent and very professional staff. Handled a gluten allergy very well. Even were nice and gave my baby just a few fries for free. It is very clean-up even the bathrooms... And beat of all the burgers were as good as I've had at at Five Guys. This will probably become a regular Phoenix- San Diego stop for us

Don't go to the Yuma Arizona location! They have a bunch of hoodlums working with no supervision. I walked in with my wife and she immediately got starred down like a peice of meat (my wife's hot). There supposed adults are jumping around and laughing like little girls. Zero tact or professional attributes about their workers at this local. I did not feel comfortable eating what I ordered with food handlers like that. So my wife and I threw our food away, wasted 20$, and left. I will never be back to that local. - Every other establishment I have had a great experience and the food phenomenal! Don't go here!

First time to ever come to 5 guys and not so sure I will be back. We get there at literally 11:01am a minute after they open and every table in the place is dirty. None have been wiped down and the floors are dirty. After placing our order I decide to go to the restroom. Upon entry I am hit in the face with the stench of crap... Which I get, it's a restroom, but the massive skid marks in the toilet, no water in the bowl and trash on the ground I decide to forgo. Grossed out I sit down to eat. The food was decent, the burger was good and so was the hotdog that my husband and I shared. The fries were cooked well and I could tell would have been good with the exception of the massive amount salt on them making them inedible. As we sat eating I watched the employee come into the dining area with a rag and start half ass wiping down a table here and there, paying no attention to the chairs full of crumbs. She wiped tables down, then proceeded to wipe down walls, then counters (w the same rag). And then she disappeared into the woman's restroom with her rag and appeared moments later. I thought oh good maybe she is going to deal with the restroom. No such luck. She just goes back behind the counter and waits for customers. I didn't complain at the restaurant because I was in a hurry to get to Prescott but I will be contacting them about the cleanliness of the store. And the need to retrain the staff on cross contamination from the dirty rag that was wiped on eating surfaces after wiping down walls. And about the fact that if at 11 am I walk into a customer free restaurant and there are hot steaming crap stains the chances are one of the employees took at crap and just said F IT and didn't bother to make the bathroom presentable.

Ok so all the hype about this burger joint is EXTREMELY overstated! First off the location is hard to find with no drive thru and congested parking lot.. The burgers are over $6 for a single patty no cheese because that's extra and although they offer a variety of toppings at no charge, the patty itself is lacking real flavor! Seriously we season and grill way better patties at home!! Honestly this burger joint is missing that real unique burger pizzaz to make it unique and worth spending over $20 for two people!! Will not return and don't recommend anyone making the trip to find this place or even eat here! Grill at home or if in need of a favorable burger go to In n Out! Sorry guys not even the 5 of you together can get this right!

Best fast food burgers in town, great location and staff is very nice, and while you wait for your hither they have free peanuts, also their fries are excellent

This place should end the overhype of In and Out. Burgers are well done but retain their juiciness. Fries are fresh cut never frozen and delicious. Regular burgers are two patties and little are one. You customize it your way. The best burgers anywhere!

My wife and I have been waiting to go to the newly opened 5 Guys. We loved going to 5 guys in Savannah, GA and are so happy to see one made it to Yuma. Too bad the service was sub-par, prices jacked up and there was insufficient restrooms. Her's how it went down! We pull into the parking lot and immediately notice a truck towing a boat parked in 8 spots in a small parking lot. What a clown! We went around 2:30 PM and there was a descent crowd of people in the restaurant. We got to the register and there was 1 girl taking orders and there was 7 or 8 employees making food. My wife ordered a small cheeseburger and I ordered a small cheeseburger with a regular fries and a regular soda. They tried to upsell me with another soda and another order of fries.I passed it up. We wanted to wash our hands before we ate and saw a line of about 5 men and women waiting to go into the single stall restrooms. We didn't feel like waiting that long just to wash-up so we just skipped it. Our food came out and my burger was wrong it was a regular cheeseburger not a small cheeseburger. Food was good but not worth the money. We have nostalgic liking for 5 guys from Savannah but we will gladly pay half the price across the street at IN&OUT Burger.

My husband and I came here because his friends highly recomended it. Our first thoughts were the prices were pretty high for a burger joint. I took my first bite into my high priced burger and wasn't impressed... I don't think the burger had any special taste and was bland to me. the fries were ok. I've had better. We've never been back since. Mcdonalds has more taste in their burgers then five guys.

HUGE burgers. The standard burger is a double patty and is hard to fit in your mouth to get a bite! But, very good. A bit on the expensive side and the eating area is pretty basic, but I really wasn't expecting a full-service restaurant. Overall, a very good burger, good fries, if that's what you're looking for. I'll be back.

My mom hadn't ever been to a Five Guys before, so even though we have a few in San Diego, J, my mom, and I stopped in on our way home. The chick at the register was a little... Slow. Not sure if she was hungover, tired, not wanting to be at work, or what. But she didn't give off a very good impression. I've been to other Five Guys locations in San Diego, and I stand my ground that the hype of the food doesn't live up to the food itself. I mean, its good, yes, just not the BEST BUGRER EVAR or anything. I'm really into their fries, though.

I think this place is crazy expensive for a fast food restaurant. A regular hamburger comes with two patties though so if you aren't that hungry get a small size. Also, the french fries are enough to feed two people. My son got the cajun flavored fries- he loved them and I didn't care for them. So one regular burger, one regular fries and a drink- $12!!!! The free peanuts as you walk in are fun though.

  • Jesal G.

I tried their grilled cheese and grilled veggie sandwich. I must say I would definitely come back and order the grilled cheese---with more veggies this time and of course a small cajun fries. I liked the bread they use with the grilled cheese more. Definitely a good find for those of us who don't eat typical burgers and prefer veggie options. Bonus: They don't charge you for extra toppings and sauces! And they have a fun soda mixing machine.

Best burger in town. Definitely get the double...just hit the gym harder later. A little fries can be shared between two or even three people. Cajun fries are spicy. They have free peanuts to shell while waiting for your food.

Five Guys offers good-tasting burgers & fries along with satisfying portions. You get to pick what you want on your burger, and can order regular or cajun homemade fries. They also offer free peanuts. For two people the total bill was $16, which included two cheeseburgers, one order of medium cajun fries, and NO drinks. For a bit more, I'd rather go to a nice restaurant - for a bit less, I'd rather go to In-and-Out (it's hard not to compare the two since In-and-Out is on the other side of the street). In reality, I'd give Five Guys 3.5 stars... it's a little better than "A-OK" but not good enough to make me a fan!

Great burgers, but a bit overpriced! Nice and clean, friendly service and free peanuts!

My wife and I had them two days in a row, because on the second day I wanted to try their hot dogs. We arrived a few minutes early before they had opened, so we stood outside the door till one of their servers unlocked the door. Now it could just be my misunderstanding of good customer service but it would be great that when a person unlocks a door that they would also open it for their customers but all the man did was unlock and walk away. So ignoring that, we made our way to the counter and ordered. The man that took our order was very friendly and helpful, and we received our food fast. The food is good, a bit pricey and very greasy though. They are generous with their fries but it tends to make the bag a greasy mess because they just toss them everywhere. So we ate in the restaurant, which is a nice place and they offer free peanuts while you wait and nice soda fountains that have many flavors (Coke products) to chose from. Sadly, another issue I noticed was when one of the servers came to clean off some tables, he was using the same towel to wipe off the table and the chairs. I am sorry but that is something that really bothers me. I do not want the germs that are on the chairs smeared all over the table tops. So all in all, Food is great but they need to take a refresher course in sanitation and customer service.

I only had the veg burger and it was ok. I shared the fries with my husband they were good

Five guys simply has great burgers and awesome fries. They are not trying to muddle up the menu with anything else. It rivals In-N-Out in taste and quality. While waiting for our order, we helped ourselves to free peanuts. The shells ended up on the floor which I guess is the new thing for casual restaurants. I think there's no drive-thru to give the customers this total experience. I got completely full off my meal. We ordered three burgers, large fries (to share) and a drink. It totaled $23 with tax, so it is pricey for a casual burger joint. Regardless, the quality and taste is there and I highly recommend this place.

The burgers were great, up to the chains standards. The service was cordial and attentive. The fries are just more than I can handle, buy to share.

First time trying this. Not bad, but not good either. Wasn't impressed with their food. It wasn't anything special, just a basic burger. Cool thing is you can build your own burger and they don't charge extra for additional toppings. But for the price you pay for the burger I guess they really shouldn't. They do give a lot of fries. However, they were too soggy and oily for my taste. Rather go somewhere else and pay less.

This is the second time that I have eaten at 5 Guys. Despite an average experience the first time, the hype pushed me to give them a second try. Positives: free peanuts, generous fries. Negatives: soggy bread, greasy taste, overall something I would expect for half the cost or at tourist trap where quality doesn't matter. Don't pay attention to all the hype. Happy eating!

  • Bill S.

We had to try Five Guys because of all the hype. The hamburger was good with lots of options the fries were great and a lot of them. Others posted about free peanuts but I didn't see them nor was I looking for them. Very Very expensive. Over $18 for one cheese burger, one hamburger, one med fries and one med coke. Service was fine not bad not great nothing to complain about. We will never go back. In-N-Out and Tommy's are better and not so expensive.

We were quite unhappy with the overall dirty look of the restaurant. The ladies bathroom was dirty and had no paper towels, the peanut dispenser had no bowls for the self-service. The cashier was not friendly and lacked customer service skills, she didn't process our order and we had to go up and ask them what happened to our meals. This mix-up delayed us another 15 minutes, very bad service. I had the veggie sandwich and it was not worth the $2.99 price. Will never return and gives 5Guys a bad name.

  • Tony M.

Sorry, I still think In-N-Out is better. I'll come here if I'm really hungry because the portions are larger plus the free peanuts, but it costs a little bit more. I'm not complaining, its great to have choices.

Great Burger, Great Service. Specifically from a young blonde haired man named Glenn. Very passionate about making the customers feel welcome. I'm sure this attitude translates to the rest of his team and inspires and motivates. It's comforting to see youth in the workplace happy to be there. I wish him nothing but success in his sure to be bright future. Keep up the Great Work.

I reviewed Five Guys in Phoenix and gave them 5 stars. Yuma's Five Guys only gets 4 because they don't have a customizable soda machine like Phoenix does. The burgers are tasty, I don't know what they use to make their buns but holy cow they're tasty!!! Way better than In-N-Out IMO. Great place.....

We always stop here on our way to & from SD. The burgers are a bit on the pricey side for my taste (like ordering one from a restaurant), but they are among the best tasting I've ever had. You can pick from an array of different toppings and sauces. The regular burgers have two patties, so one will pretty much get you full (especially if you order the fries with it). They have always given us generous portions of fries (a small feeds two & a large can feed 4!). Big fan so have to give them 5 stars.

Good burger and the fries were really good. Not your typical soggy fresh cut fry.

Okay we were passing thru Yuma to points east and it was time to stop for a break and some gas. The most common place to pull off is 16th St or HWY 95 (the same) so of course we did. We head to Sam's Club to buy gas because it is usually pretty cheap there and right across the street was a new hamburger place called Five Guys. I had heard about them somewhere so thought what the heck, it was super convenient and we both love hamburgers. When you order the burgers they ask you the usual questions, single, double what do you want on etc. We both ordered a burger, fries and a coke. They gave us cups for the unlimited cokes and we found a seat while we waited for the rest of the order. When our order was up I was expecting to open each burger to figure which one was like mine and which one hers. These guys number the burgers, which corresponds to the receipt. Go figure. The burgers were great, as good as any we have ever had any where. Sorry In N out, but we have a new favorite. And french fries not only where they super just the way I like them fresh and crispy but I couldn't beleive how many you get. They won't want me telling you this but one order is plenty for two maybe even three or four people. They have bags of potatos piled up so you can see where they came from and that they are in fact fresh. We hit the road again soon and I can't wait to drive thru Yuma for more of Five Guys.
