Waffle house = mediocre breakfast food for a low price. You know what you are getting into before you go with this place. The best thing about Waffle House is the orange plastic/fake wood booths. This place isn't retro.. it just never updated. The people who work here are super nice and I don't think they can help that the food isn't that great. Ham and cheese omelet was squishy and not as good as I could make it at home. The ingredients seemed cheap and kind of gross. I think the eggs must be the kind you pour out from a carton. My boyfriend got "strawberry" waffles but they were like those Eggo waffles that come with fake specks of strawberry colors inside.. he definitely said he'd steer clear of any fruit from Waffle House in the future. It's still better than Denny's because it's a lower price for the same kind of food.

I give this WH two stars just for the cramped space and very small portions. For the prices that we paid, I expected more food. Dennys has way bigger portions for less. the staff was very friendly and place clean, but very small. I had the waffle and it looked like a small plate. I would expect a restaurant with waffle in its name to really put out a great one that impresses...not. I will not be back at any Waffle House. Dennys will be the stop for me on the way through Tucson.

What can I say about Waffle House? Home-style breakfast, super friendly service, and an atmosphere that is truly unique! We visited a Waffle House in Georgia last year and it was exactly the same (except the accents)! We came on a weekend morning and it wasn't too busy. Kids loved the "good morning" every time someone new came in. The waffles were delicious, the eggs were well prepared, and the biscuit was right on! Oh, and the check was less than expected. What a great alternative to the rush of IHOP or Jerry Bob's - we'll be back!

The perfect spot for a greasy spoon that will leave your belly full and a smile on your face. A basic breakfast cooked to perfection and served with a smile. I love Waffle House.

Really great value for the money! My server was Jeremy and he was a really nice, authentic guy. It was a Saturday late afternoon after a wedding and my lady and I were beat and wanted a wholesome delicious filling breakfast! We were greeted by Jeremy right when we came in and he let us take as long as we wanted to order. When we put it in it came out fast and fresh. Delicious waffles and great trip down memory lane. Haven't been to a W.H. in 15 yrs and it was great to get all the food for like $8 bucks! Clean and friendly!

We thought it was time to check in with our old friend, Waffle House. It has been a long while and we have missed the old days when the food was so good. We thought, maybe, just maybe.... Nope! Most of the $32 breakfast for three was a disaster. The bacon was burned so we asked for a replacement. Coincidentally, we even heard the guy in the next booth tell his girlfriend, "remember, order the bacon not overcooked." The raisin toast was mostly burned black and inedible. Grits were inedible too: swimming in oil. Every crevice filled with oil and flowing away from all sides! Given the meal so far, you'd think that the hash browns would have been overcooked or greasy. They weren't, but that wasn't good news; they were undercooked and wet. The waffles were still good, but were far too sweet for my taste. The sweetness overpowered the buttermilk flavor. The three bright spots of the morning were the Fiesta Omelete, Cheese Eggs and the waitress. The omelette now has a three egg option for a mere $0.35 more. I cannot say enough about how good the Fiesta omelette is. It is the one thing that keeps me going back to see if things will change back to the good old Harrold Days.

I was in Tucson to attend a friend's wedding. The morning of the wedding we were told to meet at "The Waffle House." I wasn't really sure what that meant but... okay. I followed the directions given and, when I was about a block away, I realized the little black and yellow place was actually called "Waffle House." Waffle House has a really hustle-and-bustle, diner feel to it. It is a little crowded and you can look right over the counter at the cooks doing their thing at a furious speed and hear waitresses constantly yelling out orders or something like, "BEHIND YOU!!!" Honestly, I think that's why I kinda liked it. I ended up talking to a complete stranger while eating breakfast from the time I ordered until the time I left and we never came close to finding out each other's names. I am sure that happens every day there too. It's kind of hard not to happen when your shoulders are touching the person next to you. Considering the name of the place, I decided to get, well, a waffle combo. The food is nothing extraordinary... but it has the taste, feel, and presentation as if it was prepared for you at home by your mom, auntie, or grandmother... or something like that. So, it's "cozy." Do not make the mistake of thinking the servers are rude... they are simply to the point and efficient. Honestly... :) It wasn't until a month later when I made a road trip from Tennessee to California that I realized Waffle House is huge in the south. You can find them all over the place. Kind of like Taco Shops in San Diego... or Wing Shops in Atlanta. The nice thing is they are open 24-hours a day. Keep that in mind when you're craving some breakfast because everybody knows... ANYTIME is a good time for breakfast.

Before you go, remember, this is a diner. It is not a wannabe diner that tries to recreate the past, it never left the past. So don't go looking for CA cuisine or fru fru anything. We entered the establishment at a late hour. It was not busy. ALL THREE employees greeted us! Remarkable! The staff was always professional and courteous. In my experience this is not a common occurrence in any restaurant no matter how many stars. It was nice to see that the cook was busy and he had a system down. I love that about diners. Everything was efficient. Everyone seemed to be happy to be there. We ordered Waffles, biscuits and gravy and chili. The waffles were classic, additional ingredients are cooked in the waffle. The biscuits and gravy were fine. The chili, first we asked the waiter if the chili was good. He paused, he continued his task, then in a very neutral, again professional, diplomatic way he said something like, don't order the chili. A few minutes he returned and said, "Now you can order the chili." So he gave us an accurate report about the current condition of the chili with out ever being negative. My daughters loved the food. We were in a jovial mood, our mood could have been interpreted in many ways, it could have been threatening to some, our waiter still remained neutral and polite the whole time. In the end I told the cashier that it was our first time. She inquired as to whither or not we liked the food and if we would be coming back. i said yes of course. Where do they get these people? The interaction amongst themselves was also nice to see. As far as I saw, everything was clean. It was a small place, the food is prepared in full view of everyone. The kitchen is SMALL. It's a cozy atmosphere. I didn't give a higher rating because I fear that when we go back the service might not be as good. I guess I have no faith. I expect that it will, but this kind of service is unusual

First time to a WH, food was great, service was even better. Our server was a young man named Timothy. When he found out it was our first time, he explained the menu to us, was extremely attentive and went beyond our expectations to make us happy!!! THANK YOU!!!

I ordered a bowl of chili because I am allergic to dairy, can't have gluten & already eaten breakfast at my moms house. There is not much to eat for anyone allergic to dairy & who can not have gluten either with the exception of breakfast foods salads or chili. The chili is OK but not as good as Wendy's

The food was Ok aside from being cold. The resurant really needs to be cleaned. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. the restaurant is conveniently located off the highway like most waffle houses. I would say that this restaurant is run of the mill for Waffle House

Food was good.. I had tried a different location before and it wasn't so great so I gave it another go. Restrooms were a little dirty but our waitress Melissa was very nice :)

3.5 stars! Really really good prices. Food is pretty good. Had the loaded hashbrowns and there was so much stuff on them! It's kinda small inside but the service is nice and the food is cooked fast. I will defiantly return to the Waffle House!

Don't get the waitress named Karena. I walked out disgusted because my boyfriend ordered a coffee about halfway through his meal, and instead of having it as a refill for his soda, she added it on the bill for a ridiculous $1.80. However, after she brewed a new pot, it was done brewing and she didn't bring the coffee. Another patron came in and ordered coffee. Well guess what? The other lady received her coffee FIRST. TOTAL BS. I never stiff a waitress, but that pissed me off. And they don't serve lemon with the iced tea...you have to ask for it. They also don't have REAL butter. Needless to say, we will not be returning. We should've just gone to the Denny's that's right near our hotel.

I dig WH because the eggs come out awesome. I like 3 eggs scrambled with cheese, and they come out so delicate and fluffy, and I absolutely love them with a little tabasco. The hash browns are the best in town (not home fries). The hash browns are fantastic, cooked perfect in a little patty, and I cover mine in the A1 Steak Sauce that they have on the tables - sets it off perfectly. They butter the toast, which I like, and the apple butter is an awesome spread that they offer. The waffles are good - not the best, surprisingly, because they are so thin. The water and chocolate milk always seems to come out less than cold, at every WH - I wish they could fix this. The price is unbeatable - 3 of us ate like kings, received smiley and fast service, only $23. Great value.

Great hash browns! Crispy on the outside, tender inside! I'm craving them just thinking about it! They'll make your bacon the way you want it too (make mine crispy). The staff have always been friendly, whether we eat in or take out. It's the perfect greasy spoon kind of diner.

Waffle House is nothing fancy, but really pretty good. When we got our check and it was under $10 for three waffles, I have to give some credit for the value here. It's hard to find a sit down meal for three, granted, we only had waffles and water, for just under $10 before tip. The Pecan Waffle, my old Waffle House favorite, was not made with much finesse here. All the pecans were clustered in the center and they didn't taste like the best quality pecans. All was forgiven when I saw the incredibly reasonable bill. The plain waffle is tasty. Stick to the basics here, and you're okay.

Clean. Friendly. About half a dozen people behind the counter said, "Good morning". The food is simple and classic breakfast done right. Waffles, eggs, and bacon. They offer Hash Browns with onions, and mushrooms. Grits are also on the menu, served hot and creamy! The waffles were very good. Filling. Reasonable prices, friendly staff, great food!
