We were there last night. The Yelp tip advised to watch for extra drinks added to the check. Sure enough there was an extra drink on our check. Coincidence? Nothing wrong with the food. It was average pub food.

Modern, sleek and hip... nope that's not Thirsty's. Let' call it retro, classic and, yeah well I'll leave it at that. What you will find is comfort food done well and very friendly service. Based on the clientele we saw in here on our lunch visit, we're talking "Norm" kind of friendly. I went with a buddy who loves fish and chips and hates doctor visits as much as I do. It was all about the fish and chips and we were not disappointed. Three extremely crunchy fillets alongside coleslaw and wedge fries with lemon wedges and good tartar sauce... all for the very reasonable price of $8.99. It's a Friday special and it goes up a buck after 5:00 and turns into all-you-can-stuff-down-your-gullet. We were stopped on the way out by some other patrons and told that they have a $5.00 cheeseburger special on Saturdays. Two visits to Thirsty's two days in a row? It just might happen...

We found thirsty's by accident. It looked divy enough and the name just sounded great. It smells like beer when you walk in and the bar area was pretty full on a Friday afternoon. Service was great. We ordered beers and wings. The wings were excellent. Nice and big! They have darts, pool tables, and some older video games. I'm a Redsox fan and there's quite a bit of sox stuff hanging around. The crowd was a mix of older and middle agers like me so we were surprised to hear AC/DC back in black go up on the juke box! Someone played the entire album. Awesome! Fun place, very good service and a cool hangout!

Thirsty's is not a posh, newly decorated trendy club. It's a hole-in-the-wall pub. They have that relaxed environment where people meet to talk. It's not a big place. Perfect for small parties and for those after low priced burgers, sandwiches and fried food. Portion sizes are good so you will go home with leftovers. There is a separated area from the bar to bring the whole family. Yeah, the place looks like and feels like a 80's decorated kitchen diner. There is plenty of parking, I have had the French Dip sandwich and it was really good. The burgers are alright and the fries are extra crispy. The average bill for two (not including beer and appetizer) is $17. The service has always been friendly and it's not a loud crowd (except on sports nights). Great place if you just want some good food for ok prices in a relaxed setting.

As a Midwestern transplant, I occasionally indulge my nostalgic jones for paneling and 80s music at Thirsty's, a neighborhood watering hole that offers burgers bordering on excellent. And oh, those potato wedges are sublime. The bartender in the Angry Birds tee is always friendly and attentive, and the prices are low for the Tanque Verde corridor. Sunday nights, a bluegrass jam provides excellent music in the dining room, and the jukebox is loaded with 80s and 90s tunes heavy on Skynyrd and AC/DC. Thirsty's has been around forever because of its successful formula of delicious if uninventive bar food. swell strong drinks, and spare decor (yes, paneling). A few pool tables and a dart board provide traditional bartainment beyond the two or three TVs, and the patrons are always welcoming and Midwesterny. Flannel is always in at Thirsty's.

Its a bar with OK bar food and a decent all-you-can-eat Friday night fish fry. Burgers are good with several configurations on the menu and they are anything but small. I tried their Club Sandwich, too ... they're very generous with the turkey! We've eaten there several times (my brother-in-law likes the place). The tables always seem to be a little sticky - even after the wait-staff wipes them down. There also seems to be a significant wait-staff turnover ... not sure what that says. Have I eaten in worse places, absolutely. Would I go back? Sure. Am I eagerly looking forward to eating there again? Not especially.

A group of friends went there Friday night and a couple of people experienced problems with how their order was cooked in the kitchen. Everyone went out of their way to correct the problem. Our waitress, Jessica, was super...great service. The cook and manager both came out to ensure that everything was satisfactory (and everyone else's orders were great). For a flaw in the experience their response was outstanding, will return in a heartbeat.

Awesome neighborhood bar, and the food is off the charts! I had the Thirsty's Dog and I was blown away and tater tots where cooked perfectly. Staff is always friendly and fast service.
