Alright, I finally got the chance to come try this place out! And I have to say I am not disappointed. There was a huge wait, but I can see why. The Bacon doughnut was to die for! Came out hot and all the flavored were on point. I ordered the eggs Benedict with apple cider bacon and it was 10/10 would order again. I've had tons of egg Benedict's but this ones my favorite by far. The service was awesome and our server Christa was great and attentive. My parties ordered some alcohol too and loved the Mimosa and bacon infused drinks. Definitely a unique place I'd recommend to anybody and their families/friends :) Only advice is give is to find another vendor for the hamburger buns because they came out soggy and still too soft the second time around.

I came back to Oink after they reopened following a fire, to sample some more of their food. I had previously tried the french toast, which was really good. But this is a bacon-themed restaurant and I thought it was time to try something else. This time I ordered the Bacon Benedict, with jalapeño bacon and hash browns. Service was quick, which is good during lunch time. The food, on the other hand, was a huge let-down. For starters, the "hollandaise" sauce on the benedict had broken and rather than fix it or start over, they served it anyway. It also tasted like cheese -- an ingredient not found in hollandaise. The hash browns were undercooked and completely unseasoned. I've never had such bland, sad hash browns -- even the chain diners do this better. And then there's the jalapeño bacon. You don't usually throw a word like "jalapeño" in there without some kind of heat. But there was none. Either they didn't give me the bacon I ordered, or their bacon is flavorless. Both seem equally likely. On my first visit, I thought the booths were uncomfortable and the room was uncomfortably cold -- but the food was good. On my second visit, the food was terrible. On the plus side, service and speed were good both times -- and that keeps this review at 3 stars. The main problem with Oink is there are at least two better breakfast/lunch places within a mile. I suppose I won't be back for a third try.

The flight of bacon was really good, but sadly there's not much else to rave about. Perhaps because they specialize in bacon they feel the rest of the food is a lesser concern. Not so! We want things to go with our bacon and while the eggs were ok, the pancakes tasted like an Eggo waffle. I suspect they were frozen and popped in a toaster prior to serving based on the size and the crunchy exterior. The coffee was average though I did have to ask for refills twice. The donut holes with maple and bacon were disappointing too. The donut holes were too crunchy and just not fresh. The bacon crumbled over the (Log Cabin?) syrup, which seemed watery, didn't help much. There is a special for us Yelpers, and they shorted me on one of the eggs, though they did correct it upon questioning. Overall not a great experience and I wouldn't bother visiting again despite the delicious bacon.

Went there for the first time today. I wasn't completely disappointed but not really impressed. I would agree with the other reviews that's state they are over priced.i understand that bacon isn't cheap, but for what we got it wasn't worth $45. I got the barbecue pork sandwich which was actually really good. The bun was decent sized and the barbecue sauce tasted really good so I'm not really complaining about anything there. I ordered a side of fruit instead of french fries and the bowl of fruit was pretty small for a substitute. I ended up getting an additional side of sourdough bread just so I was decently full. The toast is actually really good I would definitely recommend ordering the Rye or the sourdough bread. My fiancé got the oink omelet, which I believe comes with five eggs and a couple different types of meat. Now the omelette itself definitely needed some salt it was pretty bland tasting. The bacon that was inside made it kind of greasy but the biggest complaint we had about the omelette was the fact that there was cheese on the outside but nothing on the inside. It kind of looks like they've put the cheese on the outside and then folded it the wrong way. I've just never really seen an omelette made that way and I think my best recommendation would be to put the cheese on the inside instead of putting too much on the outside. I also ordered an Irish coffee which was really really strong. I'm not for strong Irish coffee so that might be me just being picky but it could've been watered down with some more coffee or something. One review I would also agree with is the fact that the food is very very greasy. The hashbrowns my fiancé ordered were really drown in oil. Not really sure what type of oil they use to cook their hashbrowns with but it was too much. The service was at least good. I could see a lot of waitresses and waiters being frustrated, but we were treated well. I'm not really sure if we will go back. The flight of bacon was good, but I'd say only 4 of their types of bacon are distinguishable from the others. Not worth what we paid. I'd still prefer Joe's Pancake house. I spend $30 there for less great and more food. The real topper was that i wanted to try a maple bacon donut. They said they were out because they were giving them out like candy for free to unhappy customers. I looked over at a display where there were some sitting right there. I could see two of them and i was fine with paying for them. For what ever reason i was never told if i could buy one of them just to see the same waitress grab them and give them to someone who ordered after us...okay fine. But still. No new reviews to make me want to go back. Ill probably review again in 6 months.

Stopped in today with hubby, son and daughter in law for an early lunch. Be sure to read the chalkboard behind the bar before you order. I noticed the prickly pear mimosa too late...next time! And there will be a next time. Hubby had the Oink omelette, son and I had the 50/50 burger with pepper jack,, daughter in law had the California chicken. AWE-SOME! Giant portions, great flavors, hot food, attentive staff, free refills. Don't know what happened to the people who left bad reviews... We were completely satisfied.

Good solid breakfast with many bacon options. The maple Bacon Donut Hole is delicious, but must be eaten warm. Otherwise it turns solid. One person at our table wanted a small virgin bloody mary, but it was too spicy to drink. No one knew it had sriracha until brought to the table. Service was great, and very entertaining. I would return to try their lunch options for sure.

We checked this place out today and were pleasantly surprised give some of the reviews already posted. Got there at around 10:15am and it was packed! About an hour wait they said but it ended up being only 40 minutes. During our wait we were offered something to drink by a nice gal who may have been an owner or manager...asked us if it was our first visit, how long we'd been waiting , etc. we actually decided to indulge in a maple bacon donut while we waited and were NOT disappointed by its fresh delish taste. Service - fantastic, everyone was busy providing great service and our server was super attentive and sweet. Food - get the flight of bacon, it was yummy and fun to taste all of the flavors ...also had the Oink Omelette which is enough food for two. Oh AND with my meal I had the English Muffin and it was NOT the icky cheapo generic kind, and that goes a LONG way with me ! Finally, while we did not try any, they had an awesome looking Bloody Mary menu. It's newly opened people cut them some slack before being too critical!

I was very skeptical about trying oink since the past reviews were pretty bad but I had to try for myself and I'm glad I did! We came on a busy Sunday. We were greeted pleasantly and we're seated rather quickly. The coffee was hot and flavorful not like past reviews said. Our server I forget her name was sweet and efficient. Didn't have to wait on refills. She got our order exactly right. The food was hot looked great and tasted like it should! My sis loved her benny! I hot French toast it was nothing special that's why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. My friend got huevos it looked delicious and she said it was really good! I tried her salsa and it was fresh and flavorful. I really liked oink and will definitely go back!

Have the oink french toast syrup is definitely not needed with this! Oink omelet with hash browns a massive omelet with bacon ham sausage and cheese I get pepper jack and American in mine. Have the burgers also the oink burger, try it with an egg on it (Delicious!),50/50 burger too half ground beef half bacon definitely cannot go wrong with that. If you're not working definitely do the bloody mary flight it was great. Staff was courteous and attentive food came out fast too. Definitely come check this place out!

The jalapeño bacon is the best thing here, and almost worth it alone to come here. But compared to other places you can go for breakfast like the Good Egg, you can get better food and value there. The employees are cool for the most part but take a minute to notice people needing seating. The atmosphere is like a sports bar, which is a little annoying to me, but YMMV.

One of the few breakfast places in Tucson that serve food that tastes fresh made. Came in on a Friday morning and had biscuits and gravy and the blueberry pancakes. Biscuits and pancakes left a bitter baking soda flavor aftertaste, but they were good -just couldn't finish them. Fresh blueberries, fresh made sausage gravy and eggs were all really good. Friendly and quick service. Casual decor and atmosphere. Decent prices. Will come back and try for lunch.

When Oink first opened I was super excited to have a new brunch option (currently my favorite meal of the day)...the fire and delay in opening hasss lessened my excitement. Firsssst of all the BACON truly is amazing, the jalapeño is our favorite! My son is the rebel and enjoys the sausage links more. Staff is always helpful and happy, but my BIGGEST pet peeve is EMPTY TABLES. Pleeeease do NOT ask me for my name so you can put it on a list when I can see 10 empty tables with my eyeballs!!! *Keeping tables empty to keep servers tables "balanced" or "equal" is crap...it's busy, get the $$ while you can or be a receptionist!) It instantly irks me! The coffee is just okay...I like to pour my sugar freely and not use 15 packets per cup, but it's not thattttt big of a deal..just my preference. Our favorite menu items would have to be the "oink french toast", the regular french toast and the pancakes. The hashbrowns are weird..undercooked but burnt and they are consistently this way. The syrup is watery and that makes me want to cry. The bill is a little bit higher than I'd like to see for brunch. Again, I'm not as excited about this place as I once was, but the majority of the food is good.

Great service! Nice cocktail breakfast bar for drunks and boozers. Food is Ok. Service is top notch and the modern decor is refreshing. Beats the hell out of Waffle House.

Nice fun atmosphere, food prices are high! Some of the portions are small! I had scambled eggs and i swear it was maybe a egg and a half? I mentioned it to our lovely waitress but she just said it was 2? I will give it a few more chances and hope for the best. Nice choices on the menu. Had a BLT which was big and good! Lower ur prices a bit or beef up ur portions where needed is my suggestion.

We got pretty Oinked up today. We had a party of ten for Sunday Brunch and they were able to accommodate us. We had two youngins' with us and they had a kids menu with plenty of choices. Bloody Mary flights for adults were new to me, spicy Thai was a favorite. A potpourri of fun and excitement as far as the food went. We all had something different. As a dad that hates to see anything I pay for go to waste, I often end up playing clean up. Pancakes, nice and fluffy. Egg whites omelet (veggie) glad to have the option of whites. I had biscuits and gravy and hash browns. Loved the hash. Grated and crispy on both sides, moist inside. And of course we did a bacon flight! I see people complaining about price, but to me, the portions were just right. The atmosphere is hip. You have to pay for that. If you don't want these prices go to Jerry Bob's (I like JB's) since we had a big group we were at some tables pushed together but the have some large banquets that looked comfy. Service was great! We were celebrating three birthdays, so the drinks were flowing and she kept up. My only ding would be on the kitchen for not getting everything up at the same time but it wasn't out of hand. We will be back and I will recommend Oink!

We tried a varity of dishes and I was not impressed. We got a few cold plates. Never got refills until we got our check. I feel bad giving any business a 1 star but I can honestly say there was nothing I would ever want to try again. I understand its a fairly new restaurant but there is a lot of room for improvement. Pros: New Clean Lots of tables Seeting at bar, inside or outside Atmosphere Bacon Donuts Bacon ranch fries (good just cold) Water Orange Juice Nice staff Cons: Coffee (too strong) Bloody Marys (presentable but not good) No refills (very busy which causes slow service) Service (nice staff but not very knowledgeable) Food (bland, presentation, etc)

Don't bother wasting your money here. Just because it says bacon doesn't make it good. Food was over cooked and bland, bacon was over cooked, worst tasting country gravy I have ever had, it was almost sour tasting. It was over $50 for 3. Never again.

This place is all sizzle, and no bacon. I went twice to be certain, but both times my omelette came nearly devoid of meat. The tiny bits of bacon stirred into the omelette mix was less than satisfactory. For the price I had expected something better. The concept is great. But now they need to put their bacon where my mouth is.

We arrived with an air of excitement; bacon! There was a wait which wasn't bad, but that is expected. I guess I will start with the food. I was looking forward to the flight of bacon, 8 prices of flavored bacon, I was a bit apprehensive of the cost at 9 dollars. We went for it anyway. It was disappointing; only two of the flavors, Applewood and jalapeño, stood out. Not worth the cost. I also tried the pork confit omelette and was disappointed when I was not able to substitute the bread selection for tomatoes. I was not offered to do it at an additional cost I was just told no it cannot be done. The omelette had some decent flavors, but I would not recommend it, nothing stood out to me. The saving grace of the meal was the oink Cafe French toast which was sweet and a change from the norm, I recommend that if to have a sweet tooth for breakfast. The service is where the biggest failure occurred. Our sever was nice and friendly but the service was very slow. It took about 10 minutes for the children's menu to be brought out. It took about 30 minutes for me to get a refill on my coffee. When our bacon flight was brought out we still hadn't received napkins and did not until the rest of food came out and we requested them for the 2nd time. I would be willing to go there again just to try some of their other selections. Here is to hoping the service improves, then my rating might improve.

Love this place! The flight of bacon is delicious, as is the Cubano, the Eggs Benedict and probably everything else on their menu, but I haven't gotten there yet! Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. My sons had the burgers and loved them.

Went w the hubby for a weekday brunch. We started w the bacon bloody mays. Delicious!!! I got the club and he got the BLT. Both were good because of the specialty bacon. If you enjoy bacon, you'll enjoy oink!

This place has such good food and great service! I love how attentive our waitress was! The manager Joan really made us feel welcomed! Oh and the Bloody Mary's really complimented the pork confit eggs benedict. So happy to have this great and family operated business here!

  • Mike S.

Pork confit benedict was good. Bacon flight was good as well. The maple bacon donut was meh. I wish they would have had more bacon items on the menu...ice cream, desserts, etc. Nice place though. I'd go back if someone wanted to try it, but probably not on my own. Clean restaurant, friendly servers, just kind of a boring menu for a place that's based on bacon.

I recently moved to Tucson and was excited to see Oink...Breakfast, Lunch, Bacon. Bacon-themed! It must mean lots of bacon! I ordered take-out and the nose-picking hostess was polite and friendly. I searched desperately for correct change as I didn't want to touch anything she was touching. Luckily I have enough for a keep-the-change payment. I ordered the Oinker omelet which is 5 eggs filled with bacon, sausage, and ham, topped with cheese. There wasn't any cheese and for five eggs there was about an ounce (total) of meat. Basically, it was five eggs with a slight garnishment of meat, low quality at that. The hostess picked her nose nearly the entire time I was waiting for my order. Not a very pleasant side show for a $12 omelet that failed, grossly, in expectations.

Can't wait until the next closing. Tasteless greasy bacon... I think it was rewarmed in the fryer. Omlettes seemed to be made of eggs in a carton. Look if you want to be a speciality breakfast restaurant then you have to be G R E A T. Oink is barely good. Please send your cooks to Roberts or Bobos --- Sorry but we were hoping they were closed to do better-- not--- still mediocre at best

My family and I loved the restaurant. Eight of us had breakfast and each one of us felt the service and food was of excellent. The biscuits and gravy were very popular in our group, we were served over sized portions that left us full until a late dinner that evening. From Waffles to Omelets our food was outstanding. I think they were caught off guard that a party of 8 walked in, but they didn't get caught in the weeds and we didn't wait too long to get our food, outstanding. When we visit Tucson again, we will come here again.

Hotel front desk recommended this fairly new breakfast & lunch restaurant, but cautioned us that the service could be slow. It turned out that we were seated within a few minutes and served timely. Our waitress, Kelly, and all the gals there were very professional and pleasant. The omelette was just ok.

The two-star caption says it all: "Meh. I've experienced better." Oink isn't awful, but it's definitely not great, either. We went there for breakfast and got the full bacon flight, the bacon benedict, and an omelet, along with the different classic bloody mary and the Oink Bacon Bloody Mary. The drinks were bland: no spice, no zesty tang, no indication (in flavor or feeling) that there was in fact vodka in them. I really like bloody marys, so I was most disappointed in that. The bacon flight was the best part of the meal -- eight varieties of bacon, including hickory, honey, cured, and jalapeno. The jalapeno was definitely my favorite. It had a smoky heat and depth of flavor unlike anything else we ate or drank there today. Our entrees were fine. A bit on the greasy side, but okay. My main complaint for the bacon benedict was that it was absolutely drowned in hollandaise sauce, to the point that I was spooning it off just to get to the egg underneath. My fiance was similarly underwhelmed by his omelet, which he said was oddly dry. We didn't hate it, but we also don't plan on going back. As other reviewers have said, it's overpriced for what it is. Save your money and go to an unassuming diner. Oink is going to have to do better than this if it wants to stay in business.

Went here for the first time today with my husband. We were hungry after I had an early morning appt that lasted forever and decided to give OINK a shot. I got biscuits and gravy, eggs over medium, and home fries. Super healthy I know. My husband got the oink omelette. ~First impression: We walked in, got put on a list, elderly couple who were obviously regulars came in after us by about three minutes. Manager rushes over to cater to their seating needs. If you know me, you know that I adore older people. She could have absolutely acknowledged us as I would be honored to give up my turn for them. Docking one star for her complete lack of courtesy. ~Disorganized: Our server was nice and courteous, but the entire establishment was a mess. We had to ask for more cream. We had to steal sugar from another table. The mood was panicked. I understand. You're busy. From your parking lot, you are busy every single day. Today was no different. ~ Food: My biscuits and gravy were pretty great! My over medium eggs were over easy and I couldn't eat them. They looked like snot. I can't eat food that looks all snotty. I ate part of my husband's omelette. ~ Price: WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for what it was. Next time I go, I will be sure to order enough Bloody Mary's to make it to where I don't notice any of the things that bothered me about this trip. Or I'll just go to the Good Egg and eat pineapple upside down cake pancakes.

We've been talking about trying this place, and finally got around to it for lunch on 3/11/15. I ordered the full flight of bacon as an app for our table so that we could try each kind, and bacon jalapeño Mac and cheese for my entree. Our lunches showed up before the flight, so I had to ask what had happened to it. The servers were very sweet and got right on it. I started in on the Mac and cheese, and it looked and smelled great. Looks are deceiving, however. This was made with that horrible processed cheese that sticks to your teeth. Ugh, frightening flashbacks of the government cheese from my impoverished childhood ensued. $9 for this dish, and I don't even get real cheese? The bacon flight was ok. Some slices were over cooked, others were on the floppy side. For all the hype, I was expecting mystical hipster bacon. No bacon unicorn here, but I guess it was alright. Long story short, -1 for screwing up food expediting, -3 for fake cheese, -1/2 for inconsistent cooking. +1 for courteous service. So 1&1/2 stars for Oink.

Who doesn't love bacon and breakfast?! This place is pretty cool. We had a fantastic waitress and the food was delicious! They have a nice big menu, great drinks and lots of bacon! While I do think the prices are a bit high, we would return and are looking forward to it!

First of all, as I was sitting waiting for my lunch date to arrive, I was growing more and more concerned about the negative reviews that seemed to crop up a couple of weeks ago: ambivalent management, poor quality food, bizarre waitress meltdowns. What was I getting myself into? And I have to admit, that in reading this, I was (unfairly?) looking for missteps and taking notes. (face it: who doesn't relish in a bit of drama to retell around the campfire?) But alas... we ended up with a prompt, friendly, and darn tasty lunch on a late Tuesday morning. I ordered the omelet that had a shredded pork confit and was topped with a ranchero sauce. It was very good... and the ranchero sauce definitely wasn't catering to the mild-salsa loving snowbirds about town this time of year (what a relief!) It had some nice warmth and a little kick to it. I opted for the sliced tomatoes for the side instead of fruit, potatoes, and the other standard sides. My friend ordered a BLT that at first look seemed light on the B, but once checking the other side, the sandwich was suffering from uneven distribution of the bacon. The sandwich came with a choice of the bacons, and the jalapeño she chose definitely had some after-burn to it. Very tasty in a sandwich. To keep with the positives: i was lucky to be seated in a comfortable, slightly elevated booth by the window almost immediately upon walking in (a little after 11). The atmosphere and decor is very refreshing and modern... it seems 'country charm' is the default for breakfast joints and it's so nice not to endure gingham and Cracker Barrel chic once again. The tasty coffee was in a good sized mug and was kept refilled. We never noticed a lull in our service or a lag time in the flow of the meal, right down to getting the bill and wrapping up the meal in just over an hour. That doesn't mean that there weren't some bumps in the meal. When I came in a very cheerful young lady sitting with a guy on the bench across from the hostess desk greeted me with a "Hello!" Which was strange, because clearly she couldn't be an employee greeting me while sitting down right inside the door? Maybe it's a family business that is reluctant to crack down on the clan, but that doesn't excuse basic front-of-house 101: If you're on the floor, you're on the job--and that means no sitting down on the clock! And while I was served a lovely cup of coffee, I was given no flatware or napkin roll that allowed me to stir in my cream and sugar. I had to go to the bar to get a setting, and strangely even after my friend was served her food, we had to ask and then wait for a setting for her. As a pre-meal treat we ordered a plate (6 pieces) of the maple bacon donut holes. SO EXCITED to try these, but then... meh. They were very dark as if they were in the fryer a minute too long. (the sweet potato fries were on the dark side as well.) Also, the texture of the donut was far too cakey and resembled more of a mildly sweet hush puppy than a cake donut. It seemed that the dough was allowed to mix too long and the gluten toughened up far too much, taking away any hope of tender lightness. Yes, the plate was cleaned of every last sweet and salty bacon crumble, but it was disappointing they didn't live up to expectations (which would be the tender consistency and sweetness of a buttermilk bar spiked with the flavor of maple and topped with bacon). I do plan on coming back, if only for the Bloody Mary flight. I'd like to see more salad options, perhaps a bacon and egg breakfast salad (hint, hint!) and some creative uses of their namesake, bacon (how about a sweet bacon jam as a toast condiment, chocolate dipped bacon bits in a pancake, or a bacon-crusted quiche?) Tucson is definitely expecting a high level of service and quality of food in its new restaurants, and I think that with some fine tuning and a bit more fun with the menu, Oink could meet and far exceed what they are promising.

I think the rating of this place is extremely low. I saw The Oink my first week in town. Tried it out a couple of weeks later. Wasn't aware that it was a brand spanking new place until I started chatting with our waitress. We ordered the flight of bacon which was awesome! I mean awesome! Jalapeno bacon was hands down my favorite, but all of them were extra tasty. I don't even remember what the wife and kid got because I went with The Oink Omelet which was billed as a massive 5 egg omelette with Ham, bacon, sausage and cheddar cheese. All I could think about after the bacon flight was an omelet that took up 80% of the plate and was 6" tall since it was stuffed with all that good stuff. Service was up to par in my book. It was busy as anything on a Saturday morning so I didn't expect someone to be hovering and tending to every detail as I was eating. Don't remember having to wait an excessive time (if any) for refills on drinks and the check when we were done. Overall service was adequate if not a bit better than adequate for a place that had only been open a few weeks. Decor was cool inside. My only complaint, which is why I only gave them 4 stars was because of the omelette. I'm sorry, but if you're going to have a menu item named after your business, it better be a signature type of product. So bad ass that legends about it spread thru out the land. The Oink omelette is not that kind of product. First of all, it was the smallest 5 egg omelet that I've ever seen. It barely took up half of the plate and was almost flat. For nearly $12, I was disappointed. Instead of there being a massive pile of meat in the omelet, there was a skimpy portion cooked into the eggs and then the egg was just folded over. I mean, it was as if they meat was already mixed in with the eggs first then poured on the grill rather than pouring the alleged 5 eggs on the grill, letting them cook up a bit, then piling the amount of meat that a $12 omelet should have on it which should be at least 1/2 lb in my opinion. Had that omelet lived up to the hype on the menu I would have easily given them 5 stars considering that they are just getting going. I'll be back and will update things after they've settled in a bit.

We arrived (party of 8) and were warmly greeted and seated promptly. We ordered water, coffee, and Bloody Mary Flight. The water is filtered (A+), the coffee was a dark roast (not sure if they offer a lighter version), and the Bloody Mary's flavors are good but the vodka is horrible. I hope that they change the vodka in the Bloody Mary cocktails. On to ordering food. We ordered biscuits and gravy, the bacon Benedict, and oink omelet. The food arrived cold, every dish. We sent the biscuits and gravy back to the kitchen and they sent us another plate. The eggs Benedict hollandaise sauce separated so my dish had a lot of oil everywhere. I am not sure what happened to my sides. Big plate with just the eggs Benedict somebody should have noticed something missing but they didn't. Now the oink omelette nothing special served with cold but crispy potatoes . We did request the potatoes with bacon and ranch which they accommodated. They were quite tasty but cold. I understand it's a new restaurant and they are working out the kinks. Maybe I will try it next year when they settle in. For now they get a one star for poor service and cold food.

Gilbert T. obviously went to the Oink Cafe in PHX. My colleagues and i went to Oink Cafe at 11:30am in Tucson for lunch and experienced the worst service and food i have ever received from a restaurant. We pre-ordered for pick up only to spend an hour for them to figure out they had made half our order. We were surprised to find out that no one had any idea who was responsible, but they were quick to pass the buck onto other employees. We went back and forth to the bar and the Hostess station only to to get "i don't know.. i didn't take your order." When the response should have shown some empathy with a resolution. Like "Let me find out for you, i apologize for the inconvenience." They clearly lack any type of hospitality training and people skills. Of course mistakes happen, but its the character and leadership you display when they do that can separate a good experience from a bad one. The food itself made the situation even worse. For an $11 dollar sandwich i can make about 15-20 of the same if i had went to Fry's instead. The bacon was mediocre at best with the tomato and lettuce were wilted and soggy. The concept itself is genius however, with a youthful uncaring staff, unapproachable owners and food that reflects that, I don't see them in business for very long. The menu is dull, overpriced and you have to add bacon (at an additional $1-2) on about 75% of the items sold. Needless to say our order was given to us comped and we will not ever return.

Was a little concerned with all the low ratings but shoot, they've only been open a month or so. SWMBO had the strawberry chicken salad and pronounced it "Good" but mostly lettuce. I had the grilled cheese with bacon which was good, too. Service was good and the server, Joy, was very attentive. The wait was short, food good and we'll be back.

Unfortunately this place wasn't as Good as I expect it to be. Food came out a half hr later and then super cold, then they took it back and the order was wrong & the owner did offer us bacon maple doughnuts but that was also dry like our food. We will not be coming back. No flavor & wait staff was completely oblivious

I really wanted to like this place. My wife is a huge bacon fan so it really sucked that we had such a bad experience. I want to be clear I don't enjoy leaving this review either. We began by noticing the place was very busy and at first we were excited since that seemed like a good sign that we were in the right place. We were wrong! The hostess was sweet and when she told me the wait was 50 minutes she said it would probably be sooner but not later... over an hour later when we were wrangling the kids to leave we were "promptly" seated. And this only happened because the large table in front of us had left just before we were about to. Next we were asked for our drink orders and they brought our drinks in Styrofoam cups with lids and straws. I found it odd since I saw others with regular glasses? We ordered our food shortly after and then the long wait began. My Californian omelette was just okay, I have had better for less $ too. The avocado was just a few slices and not ripe. The french toast was under cooked not terrible but not worth coming back for. The chicken tenders seemed like the ones you can get from Basha's. I could sense there was a lot of confusion with the staff as well as newness was evident but I can't accept that all of these little things adding up to a terrible experience are due to the restaurant just opening. I won't be coming back, there are just too many places in Tucson now to get awesome breakfasts.

My second visit today with a buddy was better thank my first with my son. I vowed to not come back but my buddy Antes to give it a shot, I agreed to go. We are trying to go to a mom and pop shop each week. I was satisfied with this visit, just seems like orders get confused and food comes out that was asked to be subbed out instead of a side orde, so you are charged for the side that was asked to be substituted. I will not come back with my son, who is 3yo, bc of the service but I will come with my buddies. Better visit today. Sevice was ok.

I wasn't too impressed by this place. I am glad to see other yelpers having the same experience. The menu was not much different from another diner. There was a few unique things like a half pound sausage patty in their breakfast burger. The flight of bacon was interesting, but after eating it I was rethinking about paying $9 for 8 strips of cold bacon. The food was so-so. Everything was edible except the bisucuits and gravy. Oh geez the gravy tasted like onion. How do you mess up gravy? The chorizo and eggs were better than expected but does not excced the quality found at any Tucson burrito shop. Service was pretty crappy. Took a long time go get our order, then a wait for coffee, then a wait for condiments that included the creamer and sugar. Sadly the guy next to us had to keep asking where his bacon bloody mary was. They kept telling him that it was coming. I think they forgot about him. It showed up seconds before his food. Service was crappy, food was standard, but prices were a little to high. I won't be going back by choice. For good service, good food and cheap, go to Joes Pancake house. Their daily specials are awesome. For a good breakfast burger, go to Carls Jr.

So glad the Oink Cafe is here in Tucson. I tried the one in Phoenix a while back and loved it. The food is kinda pricey, but it's worth it. The wife and I had the Oink Cafe French Toast. It had your typical french toast, but it was loaded with blueberries, strawberries, and whipped cream. This french toast was probably the best french toast I've ever tried. It was so flavorful and the fruits tasted so fresh. I don't normally eat at breakfast places, but if I do I order french toast so I've tried them in Texas, Arizona, and California. This one tops them all. The service was good and the manager made it around to every table asking how the service and food was. I know the place is new, but it looks beautiful and clean. I didn't get to check out the patio, but it looks nice with the lights and all. Overall, if you like breakfast, check this place out!

I read the reviews before coming & must say I disagree (with the negative comments). Our food was warm enough, just right actually. I got the healthy choice omelette & my BF got the huevos rancheros with chorizo; we loved our food! The Bloody Mary's (Moonshine, Oink Bacon & Spicy Thai were delicious [even with the supposedly bad (wrong!) vodka they use]! & also the Irish Coffee! The thing wakes you right up! The bartender, Daniel was very knowledgable about liquors/beers/etc. & even read the reviews about the "bad" vodka. To summarize, we will be returning & disregard the negative reviews you'll read & go Oink at Oink Cafe!

One star is one too many We waited to be sat- but figured it's a Saturday and that should be a good sign right? Wrong. Once sat it took twenty minutes to be greeted another fifteen to have our order taken and then 45 minutes to get our food- which let me tell you was NOT worth a fourth of that wait. It was very greasy and sort of bland at the same time. We are not usually people to make waves but at sitting there for an hour we stopped someone who appeared to be a manager, he was actually the owner, and brought up our concern. He came back and made us feel like we were in the wrong. No one apologized or tried to make it better- after we brought it up they basically avoided us- I mean don't get me wrong they paid attention when it was time for us to pay the above average price breakfast check. Needless to say we will not be going back.

The wait is outrageous. The food inedible. The manager clueless. Bus boy a zombie. I've had the pleasure of dining in many cities from San Francisco to Abu Dhabi and I've never encountered such a horrific place. I guess I've seen it all. Oink = yuck!

Came here for lunch last week and had the Mac and cheese. It was just okay. My mom had the chicken strawberry salad and said it was good. Service was slow but it was still in that new opening adjustment period. Came here this week for breakfast and was much more impressed. Had the bacon flight-loved it! Can you really go wrong with bacon? Eight different flavors, every single one of them was different and so savory. Really enjoyed them. Also had blueberry pancakes. The blueberries were big and fresh and the pancakes were the right amount of fluffy and sweet. My girlfriend had bacon, eggs, and potatoes. She said the potatoes were absolutely delicious. I will be back for breakfast. Service was better this time too.

My family and i decided to try this place even though I was hesitant because of all the negative reviews I give it 3 stars. The hostess was not very friendly. Our server was friendly our food came out relatively quickly however I ordered the bacon eggs Benedict and it was drenched in hollandaise sauce which made it almost unedible. The little ladies next to us ordered before us and we were leaving and they were just getting their food which was 3 BLT sandwiches. They did get their meal bought however because of the wait but how hard is it to make a BLT sandwich? I feel this location is cursed and doomed. So sad because I love breakfast places.

Solid reasonably priced diner. Eight kinds of bacon. Fast service. The cooks know what they're doing in the kitchen. Must try the maple bacon doughnut, served hot :)

I won't lie, I was rather apprehensive about trying this place out, because after reading other Yelp reviews I wasn't feeling all that confident. Why did I take the plunge? Well, this place is about the bacon, and well, I like bacon, and I'm a no frills kinda gal. With that in mind I thought, how bad can it be? Well, here's my unbiased and 100% honest opinion. I give it 3 stars, because for a place that specializes in bacon, well it fell a bit short. It was soggy, and cold by the time it was received, and though warned that the plate was hot, it was indeed not even close to warm. I ordered a simple breakfast sandwich, which admittedly for the price, fairly flavorful. The sausage is by far tastier than their bacon sampler, but it was cold, and honestly McDonald's sausage egg mcmuffin is only lacking in the way of sausage by comparison. The coffee was virtually unpalatable, because it was scorched, leaving it bitter, and beyond undrinkable. I will say, their bloody mary sampler, the highlight of the meal and definitely worth the order. Not to mention super fun to sample the different varieties of mary mixes. The bloody mary's were essentially the only redeemable part of the meal outside of the sausage. Service was a bit lacking in that while friendly our server forgot to bring items requested, and refills. It was not all that busy, so taking that into consideration, I don't feel I'm being overly critical of the service. All in all, I'm hoping that with some of the constructive Yelp reviews that Oink will pull some things together. Coffee, and bacon well prepared and served is simply a must at a breakfast place, especially one that advertises they specialize in particular menu items. I'll be curious to see if this place is around in a few months, if I see it open, I may give it another try with the hope that they've taken their Yelp reviews in to much needed consideration.

I got the BLT with applewood bacon(6 slices)and it was delicious! I ate half took the other half home because it's that filling and a double decker. It was truly the Best one I ever had. I am not sure why the ratings are low but maybe because of their hrs. They close at 2pm. We sat outside which was nice. They have cute little novelties bacon item you can purchase such as Bacon band aids. Very cute! Also you can purchase their drink ware(mugs and glasses with oinks on the most). I would love to get some.

A little expensive and there was a little bit of a wait. ....about 25 minutes. The line was nothing like how it was when the restaurant first opened. We sat in the outside waiting area for approximately 10 mins......this area has the water misters and surprisingly with the 108* heat was rather cool. Once some room opened on the inside we moved into the a/c. We waited the remainder of the time and was then seated. Our waitress took a few minutes before getting our drink order. Was surprised to see that my ice tea cost a little more than my friends daughters Sprite. It took us a minute to pick what to eat. We both chose the 50/50 burger. Had we previously known how huge it was we would have just split one burger and then split the fries. The service was excellent. This is not a place to eat every day if you are on a budget. I honestly figured they would be a tad bit cheaper. I marked them down one star because a lot of things are an up charge on their menu. For the price I expected more and also expected bacon on everything without the upcharge. It's called Oink so you would think bacon would automatically come with the menu item. Great atmosphere to dine at.

Arrived for breakfast their oink bloody Mary was delicious jalapeño bacon is very good, the bar staff was amazing especially Gavin Molina. The green Verde Mary bloody tastes like spa water but it's interesting- I wouldn't order it again. I will definitely be going back.

Terrible place! I have given this place 3 tries and each time just got progressively worse- SLOWWWW Service, charged for things on my bill I never received, over-priced, food came out cold and took over an hour and was not even that good, will not be going back.

This place is amazing!!! The flight of bacon was perfect. A bacon lovers dream. Had the Oink Burger and Carrie Bacon Benedict. Was perfect.next time I'm having Bacon Mac and Cheese. The bloody Mary's are fabulous too. Will be back soon!! Thank you Oink.

New restaurant so need to cut them some slack on the slow service and mixed up sandwich (sour dough bread on BLT looked and tasted a lot like white bread?), but the food was just not very good. Drinks were also disappointing; lemonade was very weak and almost like lemon water, and the cucumber cocktail was nearly virgin (did they run out of liquor?). Unfortunately, the quality of fare was made more painful by the elevated prices and small portions of typical diner food. I had the grilled cheese with bacon and tomato and my partner had the BLT. Tasted a lot like American cheese and Texas toast was not very buttery. The cole slaw was ok, but literally three forkfuls compared to a healthy helping of fresh cut fries as the alternative. Pick the fries. BLT was three slices of bread (we pulled middle one out) and veggies were wilted. Ok, but what about the bacon? We tried the four slice taster for $4.99(!) and I swear they all tasted the same. Nothing special, just average size slices of bacon like you would make at home. The only one with distinctive flavor was the jalapeño (duh). Bacon marketing pulled us in, but wouldn't be the reason to return - if we do. Sorry ;-(

For what I expected, this place delivered. We were quickly seated (at 11:30), the server took good care of us, the food came out in a reasonable amount of time, the temperature and flavor of the food was appropriate for the prices.

I took my kids there this morning. My daughter really wanted to try it. We were told when we gave our name at the hostess stand that the wait was 35 minutes, so we decided to wait. About 25 minutes into our wait a lady (owner/manager?) comes over and starts talking to me and asks my name and says she's going to go check for me how much longer the wait will be.....she never came back. After waiting over an hour we finally get seated and the gentleman who sat us mentioned that our name had been crossed off the list that's why the long wait.....great! We get seated and the waitress comes and takes our drink orders. She comes back with the drinks, I ordered coffee and she asks if I need cream, I tell her yes. She goes to get it but then I notice she is hanging out at the table next to ours apparently there are what seems to be friends of the owners sitting there (one of the members of their party an older gentleman got up and went into the kitchen and was taking with several servers). I had to ask three times before I could get cream. She finally comes back to take our order. I notice her spending a lot of time hanging out and socializing with the table next to ours where these friends of the owners are and is being incredibly attentive to them meanwhile barely paying attention to us. We get our food my omelet and my son's omelet are room temperature. None of the food was anything to write home about, I've had better and less expensive meals many other places. The service was horrible. Overall a really bad experience, I won't be going back there.

I was really hoping this was going to be the restaurant of the century... Boy was I wrong. My meal was cold, the service was fair and I saw some health violations that had my stomach not in the digesting mood. I'm gonna have to go elsewhere.

Wow! What a place! We sat at the full service bar and had no wait time. Daniel was very friendly and made us some great drinks. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us pick out our tasty meals. All of the staff was friendly and talked to us in a warm, welcoming manner. This place has only been open a short while but the staff is running the place in an experienced, professional manner. We even had a hard time parking since the lot was full. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal.

If you have two hours to kill just waiting then this is the place for you! Went for lunch. Waited 30 minutes for a table. Then waited 10 more minutes for a server to come. We ordered right away when she took our drink order thinking this may take awhile. Oh, we had no idea! Chatting with the ladies next to us (we had lots of time to kill) they had been waiting for their food for 40 minutes! They had been at their table for an hour! An hour!! There seemed to be some owners sitting a table behind me and seeing my frustration as I'm looking around, one of them came over to assist. She apologized and explained they had a cook walk out on them, one of the waitress' (probably ours) had just had a meltdown. She offered us bacon donuts; we declined. She offered a bacon flight which we also declined but she brought it anyway. I know she was trying to make it right, but all we wanted was our lunch! We gave her the benefit of the doubt, she did try to please us, and maybe the restaurant was having a really bad day! Thinking she was going to go back and get our lunch we waited, and waited... see the trend here? Finally we could not wait any longer and just simply got up and walked out! As I see from other reviews (and my Facebook posting) we're are not the only ones! One thing that baffles me is how those owner people just sat at the table watching the mayhem and did nothing - well the one lady did, but the other two just sat and watched the sinking ship!!

I don't know what all the low reviews are about; this place was great! I took my 4 year old son here and I was only moderately hungry but I wanted to try it out. We were greeted at the door and prompty seated. My son got the pancakes and they were not the usual rubbery pancakes you get at most breakfast joints. They were fluffy, cut nicely and were very good. His meal also came with a generous amount of scrambled eggs. As far as my meal? I reluctantly ordered the traditional breakfast of two eggs, hash browns and bacon. I usually never order this option because it's never enough food for me (6'4" 220lbs). What I received was a mans breakfast! Eggs were cooked perfectly, good amount of hash browns, big ole biscuit and two thick slices of bacon! All the food was very good. The staff was nice and the place was clean. I'll definitely be back and I'll bring my friends :-)

First time here. Got the flight of bacon. It was pretty damn good. If you're here to eat bacon this is a great dish to start your meal. Lots of people, but what do you expect with a restaurant that just opened up. The machine needs to run a couple of times before you iron things out. Went with some friends and they all enjoyed their food. Bacon for life!

Amazing Bloody Mary's that were very different flavored that were fun to try. The bacon experience was also really fun for bacon-lovers. The food was also good, but service was relatively slow and some things came incorrect. However, as a new restaurant hopefully they will get things straightened out.

A group of my friends and I went camping for the weekend, and we decided to grab some hot breakfast after a very cold trip. We had seen that The Oink Cafe had just opened, and we decided to give it a try. That was a bad idea. First off, there was quite a wait, so be prepared. As we powered through our 45 minute wait, I had leaned against a fence outside, unaware that it was actually a gate. About ten minutes into our wait, the gate I had mistakenly been leaning on was forcefully pushed open by one of the workers (Bradley, I later found out) with enough force that I stumbled trying to get out of the way. He did not say a thing to me, NO apology, and that was already a bad sign before I had even been seated. When we were finally seated, it took about 10 minutes for our waitress to swing by. She took our drink orders, and I got a very small prosecco and cranberry juice for $6, which was consistent with the overpriced and underwhelming menu. The waitress came back with waters, and spilled the first water all over one of my friends, soaking his jeans. She came back with rags (that she never picked back up from our table) and made him clean up the spill. What I presumed to be the owner came by, and the only thing she asked was "Is it cold?" which we found rather insulting. About 30 minutes later, she finally took our order. My friend ordered the breakfast burger and he chose a biscuit for a side, and she laughed and said "So, you're ordering a burger AND a biscuit? That's a lot of carbs" which, again, was offensive, so he decided to get a side of sausage thanks to her snarky remark. It took quite a long time to come out, considering we got relatively simple meals. The "Breakfast Burger" that my friend ordered said it had a patty, which we presumed was beef, considering it was a burger. However, he received his meal and it was an unusually thick sausage patty, which he inevitably took off since it was not what he had expected and the taste was less than stellar. So now, my poor friend who was pressured into getting sausage for his side now had an ungodly amount of sausage that he did not want or enjoy. Along with that, two of our other orders were not correct, but we had waited so long, we ate it anyway out of desperation. For five people, it was close to $80 for a less than mediocre breakfast. I do not plan to come back ever again, and I would suggest Prep and Pastry, Blue Willow, or anything other than this restaurant. After wasting $80 and 2 hours to getting insulted and disrespected, I would not wish a visit to this cafe on my worst enemy.

I went for breakfast w my two compadres. We waited a little it was busy just opened in Tucson. I ordered the ham steak and eggs home fries and eng muffin my food was very good but I had a piece of ham not a ham steak, chick 1 had the pancakes and apple smoked bacon she also ordered the maple bacon donut bites they tasted good sweet and a lil bit of a crunch too. She liked her food, chick 2 had the biscuits and gravy w another bacon choice she liked it too. I also got a chai latte it was good. The food was good we will def be back. Ps we saw our friends there I tried my friends 50/50 burger yum bacon n beef deelish!

Had the biscuits and gravy and a flight of bacon. The gravy was perfect. It has pronounced flavors that worked well and blended but also stood out at the same time. The jalapeño bacon was my favorite on the flight. Don't be afraid to try it, it's not spicy hot, it's just right. I'll come back to try the confit next time.

Super cute place. The lighting is a bit dim for a breakfast/lunch joint but that's just being nit picky. Everyone was very friendly and the staff was attentive even though I was "that girl" who came in 15min befor close ordered the roast turkey sandwich which apparently doesn't come with bacon so had to order it. Almost $3 more for bacon?! My total was $17 for just myself. A bit steep for a turkey sandwich if you ask me.

I'm a huge fan of this place and it's one of my favorite restaurants in Tucson! I've already been here a few times even though it hasn't been open too long. I'm not sure what all the horrible reviews are about.. anytime I've gone I've had a pleasant experience with great food and service. My favorites are the eggs benedict, the mac and cheese, and the california chicken sandwich. Their coffee is also delicious along with the alcoholic drinks they offer. Yes, the wait can be long at times but give them a break people, they are new! I'm rooting for them and I believe they'll he around longer than the previous places in the location.

We have had breakfast here twice this week and I have had great food and service both times. I like the ambiance and the menu has a lot to offer. Today they were extremely busy but the tables turned fast and all the servers and staff had a smile. Even with all table full and a line out the door our food came out fast and tasty. I had the 5 egg bacon and sausage omelet and my wife and boys had pancakes and eggs. We are veryr satisfied customers and will be back with our friends.

i'll start out with a positive: the staff was helpful enough and (with one exception) friendly. Other than that, it was a nightmare. Three other people and i came in on a weekday afternoon hoping to try it out. We waited for over an hour to get our food which arrived cold and, in the case of one of us, with the incorrect order. i ordered the oink burger, which was not only cold from the wait, but also seemed as if it had been undercooked by a couple of minutes. The fries could have been microwaved and my friend's eggs appeared rubbery and not fresh. The bacon was absolutely not worth the price.

Maple bacon doughnuts are delicious, nothing else on the menu is outstanding. Been two times and both times waited over 40 minutes for our food. Servers are friendly it just takes forever! This place is not worthy the wait, can't imagine what it's like on a weekend when it's busy

I joined a couple friends for breakfast this morning and we were very pleased with everything that we ordered. We tried their Bloody Mary flight and received great suggestions from our server on ones to pick for the flight. The tomatillo-cucumber flavor was our favorite! Very refreshing and unique. I went with my tried and true French toast with Applewood bacon and it came out very yummy. Their speciality French toast that includes more sweetness extras will be my next dish there! We did end up waiting longer than usual for our food so our server was kind enough to give us a complimentary tomatillo Bloody Mary which was a great gesture. Will definitely be back again to try more on their menu!

Love bacon. They have it, lots of it. what could go wrong? How about EVERYTHING! Cons: waiting 20 minutes for my beer. After asking if they even had any because our watiress didnt bother giving us a bar menu. waited one hour for our food. my burger was overcooked AND COLD? how does that happen? Wife's food was very underwhelming. It was a club sandwich, which doesnt requre much cooking. Complained to manager, she said waitress would get in trouble for not asking of help. Not the right response for an upset customer. i dont care about disciplining her, i think she's more at fault than the waitress. Pros: One of the best patio seating in the East side. Nice Decore. So if you want to go to a BAAAD restaurant with a nice patio and decore, this is your spot. If you care about food and service go ANYWHERE else in Tucson. I want to give this place another try because I really wnt them to do well. I may give it about a month or so to see if they got their things together.

If I could, I would give zero stars. We went for breakfast. We waited 35 minutes for a table and an hour for food. We left after our bacon came out cold and no other food was in sight. Several other tables came after us and were fed. Stay away.

Quick, friendly service with a diverse pork menu. Breakfast served during all operating hours. Too bad they're not open for dinner!!!

It took 2 hrs to get our food. 4 of us ordered and they brought out only three entrees. One got the other one wrong. Some food was cold. Servers didn't keep us updated on our order status.

Ordered a strawberry and chicken salad and it was pathetic for the $9.99 price tag. I would send it back if I haven't ordered it to go.

Really wanted to love this place I am huge fan of all things bacon! However for a place called Oink Cafe, and the slogan of Breakfast, lunch, bacon..... There was a distinct shortage of the delicious treat on the menu. In fact the menu was very much the same as any other 5 & diner you find. Service was faster than other reviewers have suggested, however wait for the food was about 20 minutes after the order was placed, and was like warm at best upon arrival. Flavor was however excellent. Will give it another shot as it's fairly new, and maybe just needs time to work out some kinks, but as for now, not a fan!

The absolute worst experience I've ever had. The wait was long, but that was expected Sunday brunch time. I had questions about gluten free choices, our server had no idea. The MAIN problem is that we sat for an hour after ordering. Our drinks were finally refilled 45 minutes after we sat. When our bacon came out at the hour mark (4 pieces) it was freezing cold. We sent it back. We spoke to the manager and all that was said was, "you're up next." I witnessed 2 other tables get food while we sat...hungry. We left, without eating. I DO NOT SUGGEST THIS ESTABLISHMENT! I'D GIVE IT ZERO IF I COULD.

Food and service was good we enjoyed our selfs. The bacon choices were great you have eight different options. I would recommend going to the bar for seating to avoid a wait for a table.

Ok where to start...we went in today for breakfast and it was a bit busy but not that busy. We sat at the bar and had breakfast. First, the guy behind the bar has no clue what hes doing. None whatsoever... Pull your damn PANTS UP!!! We received our menus and it took him almost 20 minutes to get back and actually take our orders! While waiting for my food I noticed several people complain about service - yes, they are slow as hell. In the mean time I drank all my coffee and water and waited ...... waited ..... waited .... finally asked them to refill my drinks. Terrible service - and they were standing right in front of me!!! The meal - subpar. Eggs Benedict was ok. I have had way better - it was drenched with sauce and the egg was over cooked. Final time feom order to check - 1 hour 45 minutes. Whats funny is that they had to use a paper roller for my credit card... Never again.

A dear friend took me here for a birthday celebration! I loved every moment of it. It was very busy, but we were seated immediately. Our server was pleasant and attentive. I ordered the BLT, sans the LT making it a triple decked bacon sandwich. Refills were on point. Lemonade delicious! Finished with bacon donut holes...to die for! Served warm, love the texture.... a 10 from me! Can't wait to go back! Wish they were open later!

After reading previous reviews I was a little hesitant to try this place; however, I was willing to give it a chance hoping some of the bad reviews were just do to being new and needing to get the new staff up and running well. I am so glad I took a chance and went. The food and service was top notch! We got there about 10:15 and we were told a 15 minute wait, but were seated sooner. We were served our food in a reasonable amount of time. The coffee was very good and the servers were very good about coming around and topping it off. I had the Eggs Benedict and it was delicious, my eggs were cooked to perfection, hallendaise sauce delicious, hash browns perfect! My mom had an omelet and she said it was very good and flavorful. I am a bit of a foodie and could not help but look at the other dishes being served around me. The pancakes and Belgium waffles looked delecious. You can tell that they use very fresh ingredients. We will definetly be back!

Me and my mother came here and sat out on the patio. We shared the 50/50 burger...must say we weren't impressed with anything about this place, besides the kindness of our waitress. Food took almost an hour to get, the burger was dry, as were the fries. Couldn't really taste the bacon either. There was also a bunch of garbage in the corner. Don't plan on coming back anytime soon.

I sat at the counter. The server was not very attentive. And if he repeated one more time word-for-word the exact same greeting to all the customers who sat down around me at the counter I thought I would scream. Zero personality. And he fussed around behind the counter doing what I do not know; wiping his shirt, talking to an attractive fellow server, moving stuff around, up and back to look busy, but he did not even serve me my breakfast... a runner from the kitchen brought my food out, and my "server" did not even stop to ask me if everything was okay. Side of bacon, very small slices, was skimpy and expensive for two pieces. Eggs benedict was good, but seemed to be missing something. Hash brown potatoes were very good. But overall my experience was nothing special. AND I found the prices very HIGH for breakfast for the portion sizes... probably the highest for any breakfast/lunch place on the east side of Tucson. Kind of an Oinker experience for my first visit.

Got here at 8:00 on Sunday morning and was seated immediately. Attentive staff and nice atmosphere. My wife and I had one of the best breakfasts ever. Everything was cooked perfectly and delivered hot to our table. All around great experience.

I really hope they get it together before losing all their customers. We went on a Saturday, they said it would be 45 minutes. Seemed ridiculous but we waited. We could see several empty tables, especially on the patio. Us and several others offered to sit on the patio but no go. Maybe they were understaffed (dumb on a Saturday during breakfast) except they had three people at the host station trying to figure out how to seat people. Once we were seated it took 10-15 minutes to see the waitress, another 10 to get drinks. Meanwhile we watched them deliver plates of food to the wrong table then collect them back and give them to the correct table (who were nicer then I would be). Once we finally ordered things went much better. They pulled a waitress from the bar and she was super nice. Even when they messed up our order. I ordered the regular french toast but got the oink french toast which I didn't want because it has fruit and whip cream on top. She offered to bring me the regular french toast but I didn't want to wait for it. Also I have to admit that the oink french toast was DELICIOUS! . The waitress ended up bringing us the regular french toast to go so I had that the next day :) I would definately order the oink french toast again. It is dunked in something that gives it a crunchier crust. My spouse had an omelet with chorizo which he said was good. The honey bacon was good but my spouse got the peppered one and it was not very "peppery". So food was good but they really need to figure out how to run a restaurant! I don't enjoy spending two and a half hours just trying to get breakfast.

OK, they have only been open 3 days, so maybe things will get better. Today it was not working for me. My friend and I were there for an hour and still had not received our food. When I ordered iced tea I asked for extra ice and extra lemon. After 3 renewed requests I finally got more ice, never did get the lemon. So, I don't know if the food is good or not, we were out of time. Might have stayed longer to find out about the food if the service had not been so poor. Hope they get their act together. Oh yes we were given the bill, but no food!

Not impressed. When we had got there the hostess sat us almost immediately but when I saw her getting the check off the table that she was going to seat us at she didn't even wipe the table. Also, the food wasn't all that great at all,it was cold and boring. Seems to me like they tried to copy one other breakfast place here in town..

My boyfriend and I went to try out this restaurant for the name thinking baby back ribs thick good tasty bacon and with thick pork belly maybe pulled pork no no pulled pork nor ribs. First dissapointment. Then the wait was about 25 minutes. So we decided to sit at the bar. The bar wasnt clean and had to ask for it to be clean. And I went in there previous and I sat at the bar and it was so gross there was dirty dishes every where and had to ask them to clean up. This place will not be open for very long. The traffic they are getting is new restaurant syndrome. The service is so bad. We had a couple next to us that waited almost an hour for their bloody mary. And when this waitress brought them their food their asked her silver ware and she slamped down like she was irritating for them to ask. When our food arrived it was cold and seriously should of gone to Brawley s which down the street you received your food hot and is bettet and service is served with respect. Oinks managers have no clue I women keep walking around and twice the bar was a mess didnt even acknowledge that. More training and different chef new menu

I have to support NON CHAIN eateries!! The service was friendly and quick. I had a short stack of blueberry pancakes that were sublime and my son had a great BLT. The bacon is the thing here obviously. THICK cut, 8 different flavors. They even offer a flight of bacon. Also, totally the place for those that imbibe early. The Oink is only open 'til 2:00 but has a full bar. (the also serve a flight of bloody marys)

Major let down!! With a name like Oink cafe I was hoping for bacon and then some, no such luck. After reviewing the breakfast menu on the internet I was prepared for a 5 egg omelet with loads of bacon! My adventure started with my wife and I quickly being seated on some hi rise booth next to the waitress station. I was a bit hesitant because it seemed more like the employee lounge. As we were seated the employees quickly scattered. Most of the customers were very elderly.(*clue) Wait staff seemed friendly but a bit off like almost like a subliminal message 'Leave this place'. But the thought of a plate full of bacon was too hard to resist. I ordered the Passion fruit iced tea and was quickly looked at like I was ordering chocolate milk with raisins...wife ordered soda. I kept seeing my wife make these weird expressions, turns out our server was having a problem with making the tea; staff were smelling it, looking at it, and shaking their heads at it. While this was going on I noticed a nice pitcher of regular iced tea with a lemon on the waitress station. Our server advised us that the ice tea brewing machine is currently malfunctioning and will need to be serviced. I settled for orange juice. So we quickly ordered the 5 egg Oink omelet, wow five eggs holy smokes! When it arrived I felt a tear in my eye and I had to swallow my pride. Looks like three little bitty eggs were used for our omelets then the omelet was cut in half between me and my wife. What the.....I just spent over thirty dollars on two omelets. The cheddar that was in it almost made me sick and that is the quickest I ever ate breakfast. I did find two very small crumbs of bacon a bit burnt and lots of ham. I left in a hurry and will never go back to that location ever again I don't care what new business goes up there....ever!

We have been watching this place for quite some time. Its very close to our house and well, bacon right? Unfortunately there have been some terrible reviews/experiences here. I can see where they come from but honestly our experience was good. We came in between breakfast and lunch so I am sure that is part of our positive experience. When we were leaving it was really getting crowded. To me it just seems they don't have enough wait staff. They were running the whole time. My husband and I shared our food so we could try a few different things. We got the bloody mary sampler. They were all very good. My husband loves bloody mary's but he is very picky. He liked these. The Thai is REALLY spicy but still had a good flavor. They came out a bit slow but well before our food. To eat we got an Oink omlet and a side of biscuits and gravy. The omlet was done well and had a ton of cheese on it. Neither of us liked the home fries, but I find home fries are hit and miss everywhere. The biscuits and gravy were some of the best I have had in Tucson. Fluffy tender biscuits and a flavorful creamy gravy. The gravy was a good consistency. You get it at many places and it comes out more of a paste or almost a solid. I hate that. So if you like your gravy a bit thinner this was perfect. We will definitely go back again and give it another try. We kept eyeing other peoples orders as they came out and pretty much everything looked great. Like I said, the staff just seems overwhelmed. Our waitress kept saying she was going to bring me coffee and then kept for getting. She was never idle though. Hopefully they staff up or get things running more efficiently.

Coffee is $3.25 which I thought was too much, Had an omelet that was okay but oily and it was $11.99, Just too expensive for breakfast in Tucson. New York City prices but has a nice staff and is clean

Had a couple bad breakfasts there earlier in the year. Went back and it was better. So something must be changing. It is a little pricey to me though, but the server was very nice.

My girlfriend and I were so excited to try this place out as we're both bacon lovers. We got seated quickly and our drinks were served shortly after which marked the beginning of the 45 minute wait to get our food. I ordered an omelet with a side of bacon and she got a B.L.T. The omelet was ok, nothing special. What bothered me about my order was the side of bacon! It was $2.50 and I only got 2 incredible thin dinky pieces WTF! I was expecting thick cut bacon worth $2.50. Then the biggest offense, her BLT had 1 slice of bacon on the top layer which had been cut in half so it looked like 2 pieces, still 5 pieces short of making a BLT worth $10 not to mention the menu actually states it comes with 6! They built a triple decker BLT with 2 shitty slices of bacon on it. How can you have a restaurant themed around bacon and not serve it in a way that highlights it. In fact they managed to take arguably one of the most important menu items and completely ruin it. Its amazing that people still go there considering the wait and the mediocre food. Our server, Dallas, was amazing but for a $40 breakfast which I can make at home with better quality and MORE F******* BACON its just not worth it. Great idea bad execution.

Took my son and grandchildren to Oink for breakfast this morning just to check out their food and service. Well the service was so bad I don't know where to begin. First we waited 10 minutes for a server then 20 minutes till the server returned and stated they were out of the item we ordered. We then reordered and the food arrived in a somewhat timely manner. Sometime during our wait the server arrived with something she called donut holes covered with bacon which were dry hard and pretty gross. When we did start to eat our food was cold and eggs were not cooked to our order. Talk about terrible there are no words, food was worst than the service, something I had thought would not be possible. Due to time constraints we just decided to leave, but not without getting a $48.90 bill. My complaints were then met with numerous excuses, but no resolution. This the second time that we had visited the Oink, but there will not be a 3rd time, service bad food even worse. So Yelp won't allow a no star I guess the lowest I can give in 1 star. Yuck! I can't believe they actually re-opened, maybe new management, one could only hope.

Disappointed...food arrived cold even at 7:30 on a Sunday morning. My nephew had chorizo and eggs. His 3 egg portion was as big as my 1 egg scrambled egg. The bacon was very good though. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I tried Oink once and will not go back.

This place is terrible! We waited 30 minutes for a table and an HOUR for the food, which was dull at best. If they don't do a better job both with time and food, they won't make it until June!

I had the worst experience at this restaurant. I was with a party of 9 and at first when we arrived, the staff had no idea how long it would take to get us a table and didn't know where they were going to be able to seat us. It only took about 30 minutes. Then we ordered drinks and waited another 30 minutes. We ordered our meals and appetizers. First off, they claim to be proud of their 8 different types of bacon and not one of them tasted different except the pepper flavor, which is no suprise, and it was very low quality bacon at that. I ordered the 50/50 along with two other in my party, and three people in the party ordered the bacon grilled cheese. My burger was well done as stated on the menu to be the only way it can be prepared, but it was burnt and very dry. It also didn't come with bacon as it is half bacon, half beef. I thought the bacon in the patty would be plenty, but I didn't find any bacon in the burger. It was a regular burger patty and it wouldn't be such a big deal if the 50/50 wasn't $10.99. The fries were cold and the other person in my party had the same experience except his was burnt even worse and his came with bacon on it without request. The grilled cheeses were really burnt as well and it was a velvetta type cheese with a very small amount of bacon. I tried a bite and the bacon was undetectable. Also an $11 meal btw. Fries were cold for everyone and on top of all of that, it took about 45 mins to get our food and we didn't get refills on our drinks. It was about 30 minutes to get the bill, which was thrown away by our waitress for some reason. The last thing I'll say is that the waitress was obviously sick and was wiping mucus from her runny nose for the duration. I will never ever go back and I really hope they close soon to let a business that deserves the space move in.

Four of us made plans to check out new breakfast joint. We all loovvvee bacon, so we were excited. Atmosphere was cute until they got busy. We couldn't hear each other talk. Things went downhill from there. 1) Finally got coffee, no silverware to stir or eat with. Waited 10 mins, then shagged some from two other tables. 2) After we ordered, about 20 mins went by, server said another 5 mins. 10 mins later she said another 5 mins. 3) Food finally came. My BFF's bacon did not come with her meal. She had pancakes, I ordered french toast combo. No butter with either of ours. Asked for her bacon, our butter. Came more than 5 mins later. 4) All 4 of us received cold food. Eggs, chicken fried steak, pancakes, french toast AND the bacon. 5) Had to ask 2 times for a refill. (What restaurant has a problem with coffee refills??? Ridiculous) Adage is Take It or Leave It. We be leaving this place and never coming back. Bread and Butter Cafe...we coming back to you. Oink Oink...Bye Bye.

Terrible wait, terrible service, terrible food. A real triple threat! Don't waste your time or money on this farce. Perhaps the building is haunted as no previous restaurants have made it here. Two slices of bacon on a BLT at a place that's "all about" BACON? Really? Oh sorry, we forgot your fries, that will be another hour. Better get it together Oink or it will be BKlt sandwiches before you know it.

Saw this new place in the same location as previous restaurants had failed on the corner of B'Way and Kolb. Trust me folks, the location isn't the problem. The restaurant was busy and we had a ten minute wait which is fine. But it was busy only because it's new not because it's good. It was lunch so we ordered an oink burger and a 50/50 burger. Both were supposed to be 1/2 lb burgers, one with two strips of bacon and one with with 50% beef and 50% ground bacon, I believe it was listed on the menu as jalapeño bacon. So far, so good. After maybe 20 minutes, probably longer, our lunch finally arrived. It was cold! The burgers were cold and dry, the fries were inedible. The cheese had coagulated and looked like wax. I noticed that the 1/2lb burger on the oink burger was twice the size of the 1/2 lb burger on the 50/50 burger. But since it was cold we didn't eat it. We sent it back and a manager came by and apologized and comped the lunch and offered bacon donut holes. I nice gesture to be fair. The next time our food arrived they had the wrong fries with each burger. The third time the food came back the 50/50 burger was missing the cheese. Finally, the food came as we had ordered it and it was dry and unseasoned. I finally figured out why my 1/2 lb 50/50 burger was only half the size of her 1/2 lb oink burger. It's because there was no ground jalapeño bacon in this 50/50 burger. Couldn't taste any bacon or jalapeño in this burger. In fact it was so dry I could hardly swallow it. So I just loaded it up with ketchup and forced some of it down with water. It was evident to me this place will fail like the others, not because of the location, but because they will go broke giving comps out as apologies. Needless to say, I will only drive past this place until it reopens as another restaurant. Giving them a one star since they didn't force me to pay for this hockey puck.

My wife and I had our first and last breakfast there today! We arrived and were seated within 15 minutes which I consider average for Tucson restaurants at 9:30 on a Sunday morning. The waitress was pleasant and took our order within 5 minutes of seating us. From there it was all downhill. The coffee was bitter "bottom of the pot" and bitter. Plus, they had the gall to charge $4.98 for 2 cups of coffee. My wife's breakfast went back because it was wrong. Mine quickly followed as everything was cold. When reserved my eggs were cooked improperly - how difficult is it to flip an egg to over easy rather than sunny side up? The biscuit looked like it hung out in the sun way too long as it was to the point of "almost" burned and hard and crumbly. Frankly, I have had better bacon at Denny's! For a bacon specializing restaurant they need to get a much higher quality product! As for my wife's omelet? As she said "nothing special" and dry and flavorless. I guess I should have read the reviews prior to venturing out but can assure you I will not return!
