Canyon's Crown is a great little place! I came here with my husband and a friend to play bar trivia. It was so fun and entertaining. The thing I liked most was that the questions they asked were not the typical bar trivia questions. These questions were brain-teasers and really made us think. Everyone got super into it. As for the atmosphere, it was perfect! Everything was well lit and well taken care of (no ripped seats, or dirty countertops). It's quaint and cozy, but still big enough to hold a good sized group. The drinks, especially the bloody marys, were delicious and so was the food. We had the pretzels and nachos which were good. I definitely recommend this place!

Amazing food, slightly overpriced beer. Gets crazy on trivia nights - so plan ahead!

Pros: efficient, friendly servers who tag teamed drink refills and food deliveries. Super clean women's restroom, everything we ordered was fresh, hot and tasty: french onion soup, Mediterranean salad, wedge salad, scotch eggs. Dressings tasted home made. Food we saw come out of the kitchen and pass by us looked awesome. Our server who looked like a handsome body guard was extremely polite. Cons: not much! My menu was a bit grimy and could use a good wipe down. Was an unexpected surprise and I will be back.

I was visiting Tucson and met my friend Russ here for lunch. Holly was our server. She was awesome, very friendly and attentive. I ordered the Patty Melt, which was delicious. The prices are reasonable (10.75 for the burger).

I've been to The Canyon's Crown several times now, a quite enjoy this oasis in the desert. I've spent my fair share of time visiting pubs in the UK and Ireland, and have been largely disappointed in U.S. establishments that attempt to replicate that experience. This is not the case with The Canyon's Crown. One step inside, and I feel transported to the UK. The dark woods, the "old" feel all seems right on. As for the menu, there is a wide variety of pub favorites, fit for all ages. The fish and chips features large moist pieces of perfectly cooked flaky white cod, in a golden brown crust. The coleslaw is good, though sort of American, but I prefer it to the typical English mushy peas The Corned Beef and Cabbage is a hearty, delicious meal, with flavorful braised veggies and perfectly cooked, proper corned beef. My favorite meal here is the Shepherd's Pie, with well-seasoned meet and veggies in rich gravy, topped by a cap of mashed potatoes, well- browned. Overall, I commend whomever is in charge of the kitchen, as their choices in offerings and preparation are as they should be.

Canyon's Crown is a worthy little continental oasis serving crispy fish and chips and even delicious Scotch eggs alongside a wide selection of brews in a cushy "dad's library" barroom. I've felt wallet-raped by most Tanque Verde "happy hours," but CC's gets that happy hour means price cuts. An old barfly was blatantly eavesdropping and chiming in with war stories during our last visit, but that's the risk when sitting at any bar. A generous happy hour here will set you back less than most, and the bar staff is genuine and friendly. For a no-frills or pretensions pub experience, you can't beat CC's.

This is a great, great place to go for Geek Who Drink trivia night on Thursday nights at 8!!!! Definetly going to be regular date night. There were plenty of tables, attentive waitstaff, great bar selection, and the food was great! They had one of my favorite ciders on tap, that's always a plus! The staff managed the full house well and with a great attitude! We ended up sharing the fish and chips and it was plenty of food for the two of us! And it was. so. dang. good! The serving size was big, the batter was crispy, the fish was juicy and tender, the tarter sauce was very darn good. The french fried were just the right balance of crisp and potato.

Really enjoyed this place!! We had the Scotch eggs (so good!) and the jalapeño football things on the happy hour menu (those were just okay). Really good fish and chips! Great beer and cocktail selection as well! Fast and friendly service! Can't wait to check this place out on a Thursday night trivia night!!

For being in Tucson this a Good British/Irish style pub. The Guinness Pie was great. The fish and chips are A-1 and made with Cod which is nice to see since most places around here use Tilapia. Good selection of beers. The French onion soup is one of the best I have ever had and the Scottish eggs are must to try. Overall great pub!!

Went here yesterday for a quick happy hour with a friend before a Yelp event. I havent lived on this side of town for quite some time so I had no idea what was still over here. So if you are willing to risk you life with Tucson traffic during happy hour, get your british loving self over here. The very unbecoming exterior gives way to authentic british pub style seating, brews, eats, and event the sport they are watching on TV. Rugby was on yesterday and even though I dont know the rules, I watched the pretty people for almost an hour! Anywho onto the brews and eats. I must admit they had quite the UK selection of brews, some I have not seen in Tucson yet. Our bertender was super busy but was very helpful and even offered us beer samples to make our decision. I went plain jane and had a Cider. Happy hour pricing isnt too bad, $1 off drinks, $1 off small snacks, and $2 starters. The eats were so yummy and british carb loaded. Yum! I went with the irish nachos, which over on this side of the pond we call loaded fries. They were loaded seasoned waffle fries and the portion was pretty large. I noticed they had scotch eggs on the menu as well, awesome sauce! I will be back to sample more eats and brews soon, it was nice to find a british pub with friendly people. The place seems like a comfy place to go where I dont have to worry so much about the college crowd seeping in. The only improvement I could see was the hostess at the front during the day I was there. She was not very attentive and let me really do her job for her, she looked like a young kid, Ill forgive her. Faves: british sports watching, anything cider

Service is always friendly and food never disappoints. Parents have mentioned how the interior reminds them of pubs from growing up back in England.

Ate at the Crown for the first time. Great ambience. I hate the noisy warehouse styles of modern restraints. Not the Crown. It has nice subdued feeling. Dozens of beers available with a wide tap selection. The staff was excellent. Thanks to Morgan our server, our experience was awesome. But I saw something that is always a great sign. Bodies in motion. The staff was hustling continuously yet they always had time for brief friendly conversation. A great trait for servers. The Scottish eggs and stuffed jalapeños were fantastic. I am very impressed by the number of options on the menu. I had the Guinness Pie and it was perfect. Hot and tasty with creamy mashed potatoes and veggies sautéed perfectly. I will definitely go back next time I'm in Tucson.

Had the scotch eggs, corned beef and cabbage and shepherds pie, oh and the apple pie. Food was superb- well seasoned, well executed, and ample portions. Drinks were reasonably priced and well poured. Food came out super fast- like faster than I've seen anywhere to every table I could see. Order to plates hitting tables was seriously like 6 minutes! English food was very good and unique to Tucson but there were plenty of standard bar fare items that I also cant wait to try!

Canyon's Crown was, for a long time, one of my favorite places to eat. They're generally quick for lunch, conveniently close to work, and with good beer on tap. But a recent visit there did not go well, and based on what the waitress told me, I don't think I'll be going there very often. I nearly always order the Bangers and Mash because it's not something you see on a lot of menus here, and Canyon's Crown used to make /very/ good one. So when I ordered it this past weekend, I was very surprised to find it had changed. The flavor of the bangers was very different, and not very good. I asked the waitress if they had changed what kind of sausage they used. The waitress told me that yes, this was a different kind of sausage. She said that their normal bangers are imported from the UK and must be ordered in bulk, so they "sometimes run out of them for months at a time." This was a perplexing explanation; I don't see how having to order in bulk results in running out for months. I've also ordered this dish here something like two dozen times and never had different sausages before. The waitress told me they were "trying to recreate the bangers themselves" -- which explains why the sausages on my plate were wildly different sizes from each other, and perhaps why the flavor was so far off. She said they were trying to keep the menu consistent, rather than removing an item that's out of stock. But I basically paid the $10 "imported banger" cost for $5 worth of poorly-made house sausage. The worst part, and the reason I don't see myself returning any time soon, was that the waitress told me they have "no way of knowing" whether they're serving the imported bangers or the cheap knock-offs on any particular day. She offered to bring me something different, but I'd eaten half the plate by the time we got to this point, and they weren't inedible -- just not good. What could she have done better? I think it would be prudent to warn customers -- especially recurring customers who usually order the same plate -- that they're serving an inferior product. And if it were my restaurant and a customer gave me the kind of feedback I gave her, I would want to send the manager over to ensure the guest is satisfied. Strike Canyon's Crown from my list of favorite local restaurants.

Kid you not, this was the first place I ate at within 3 hours of moving to Tucson. The family was hungry, I was dying for a pint, and Yelp directed me to the Crown. Its a take on a British pub, with a slew of TVs, brews on tap, and fine British fare. The fish and chips are rock solid, and go well with a pint of your favorite and the atmosphere friendly. My only complaint is the lack of real football on the tele, but they are more than happy to oblige. I've eaten there half a dozen times and will continue to go back when a big match is on. Aces.

My husband & I love this place! We live in the neighborhood, and are glad it's close. We seriously have never had a bad thing from the menu. I love the salads, the Shepard's Pie & if you want super cheese overload, get the grilled cheese with ham, turkey or bacon on grilled Parmesan bread. He usually gets a burger & has never complained. Then there is the warm Sticky Toffee Pudding topped with vanilla ice cream!!! Be prepared to share as the portion is huge, but you will want to keep it all for yourself....YUM! Service can be a little slow, but they are always friendly & welcoming.

The rating is so low due to the service. I have on multiple visits over the last year, during various days of the week, through both lunches and dinners experienced bad service. There are a few shining stars, but if I see certain people when I walk in, I will turn around and go somewhere else. So I am not calling out anyone by name, the girl behind the bar at lunch-time on 5/17/15 is one of those no-go's. There are more than just her bringing the experience of this place down, but this was just our latest letdown. The theme of the bad people is a personality of a brick. Never returning to the table, or constantly getting the order wrong. Today was all three. Its too bad too, because the food is great, the wait time isn't bad, and the good members in the staff are actually pretty excellent. They are the reason I have kept returning, but its getting tiresome when I don't know what to expect.

Wow this place was a great find. It reminds me much of the pubs that I would go to in Australia/New Zealand. Instead of the usual sports bar atmosphere that you find at many other places in AZ this spot was a nice welcome change. As far as the atmosphere it's very laid back and relaxed. They do show sports games on TV but they keep the volume down so you can have conversations with people. I tried out their fish & chips which were better than I expected. They serve the usual pub fare but so far I have had a good impression on their food. On a few more visits I may update this review but so far this place has been great.

Two words: Scotch Eggs. That is all really, lol I swung by on whim. Typical English type of pub. I got a Irish coffee, Scotch eggs, and fried mushroom / zucchini. Coffee was strong and tasty with whipped cream on top. First time getting Scotch eggs and they're awesome. Hard boiled eggs cooked in sausage then breaded. If only they could make the yolk runny... The mushrooms and zucchini were very fresh and crispy. Scotch eggs... yeah

This place is the main reason I miss living on the east side. So fun! It's a little sports pub reminiscent of one you'd see in Europe, and many of the dishes reflect that. They've got a huge menu but manage to make everything pretty well. The vibe is energetic and happy and you feel good when you walk in. The servers always try hard to make you feel welcome - they're not snotty or overly-rushed, even during busy times. I brought my grandparents here, who have done a lot of traveling in Europe, and they loved it so much they demanded to come back a second time before they left Tucson. I like the sandwiches and the fish and chips. My husband always gets the bangers and mash and says it's awesome. The food isn't exactly out of this world, but it's always good and you'll always have fun here. When my husband and I come here for date nights, we always finish off the evening with two adult hot chocolates and some chocolate chip cookies. I'm smiling just thinking about it! This restaurant is so fun.

So, having traveled to Manchester and the surrounding areas, finding English vegetarian food that meets my food allergy needs resulted in a vacation full of jacket potatoes and hotels with kitchenettes...With that background, walking in and trying to eat at a Pub was a little intimidating... But the Crown knocked it out of the park. I was able to order a filling meal without having to not pick or edit the menu and the (owner/manager?) was on top of all my allergy and sensitivity questions. They have the no mushroom Boca burgers and the mashed potatoes are just potatoes, cream, and butter. I did ask them to please not Parmesan crust my grilled cheese and it came out with a thick coating of Parmesan, but John, the bartender, was quick to set it right. John is a true treasure and knows the tap beers (which rotate often) inside and out and can advise you on flavor profile, hops content, or just about any other beer preference or restrictions you have. My expectations were blown out of the water and all my special needs were met with no fuss or bother. I've been a lot of places where my food sensitivity is an inconvenience to the staff, but here I was made to feel like it mattered to them if I was happy, healthy, and informed. Amazing service, top notch food, and a welcoming atmosphere... Well done. (Just lay off the Parmesan, please!)

We love to go here for happy hour. One of my co-workers wife is from England, and she says this the THE place for fish and chips in Tucson, I would agree! Crisp and flavorful fish and chips, and not too greasy. Their mac and cheese is creamy, and on my top five list of mac and cheese in Tucson, but my favorite thing to get here is the Scotch egg with the spicy mustard!! I could eat them all day long. They have a perfect crispy coating that perfectly offsets the mustard. It's a fun place with great service.

  • Shauni S.

The boyfriend and I wanted to try something different for lunch and decided to try a place we haven't been before. After seeing the scotch eggs on Yelp reviews, we knew we had to try them. They're perfectly hard boiled eggs wrapped in sausage and fried. We used the spicy mustard to dip. You can taste all of the flavors because the sausage doesn't overpower the egg. Plus, the fry wasn't super greasy and provided a pleasant crisp. For our main courses, he ordered the crown burger and I got the Guinness pie. As for my Guinness pie, I only have two complaints. The mashed potatoes that came with it were bland. They had a good texture but it was just potatoes and butter. Salt and pepper and some of the gravy helped. Also, the crust on the pie was too much. It wasn't bad but it was too thick and was more like a cracker or cookie than a thin, flaky crust. The steak and mushrooms in the pie, however, were perfectly cooked and savory. The boyfriend loved his burger. He was surprised at how big it was and it was slightly above the temperature he asked for but it didn't bother him because it was still juicy. For dessert, we had the sticky toffee... Fantastic. I would come back just for it alone. On top of it all: the service was courteous, prompt and comfortable.

The Canyon's Crown is a really wonderful place to grab a drink and food. They have a great (not to mention extensive) selection of beer and many different alcohols. As far as wine goes, there isn't a huge selection, so come here for the great beer or a good cocktail. Their bar snacks are amazing; I recommend the fried pickles. So come to The Canyon's Crown for a fun pub atmosphere, really good service, and an awesome beer!!!

Excellent service, delicious food, family friendly. That's a homerun for us. The jalapeno appetizer was so good we ordered 3 of them for 5 adults. The kids loved the children's menu as it had lots of choices. The Guinness Pie was really good with very tender steak and great flavor but beware, it is BIG! :-) So I took the leftovers home and it was great the next day too. My sister and her husband said the cobb salad and the burgers were fantastic. We'll go back again for sure!

  • Gabi M.

My husband and I loved this restaurant's classy setting and laid back pub vibe. We immediately fell in love when we saw they had most of the same appetizers as our favorite Irish pub in orange county (Skosh Monahans ). We shared the Irish nachos and chicken skewers (soooo good) and finished with the Irish cream crème brulee. And boy do I love a good crème brulee ! Best of all the service was great and our server was so sweet. Also, we usually only drink IPA s and they had a few good ones to choose from so that was a plus. We will definitely be regularly returning.

Here's my thought: Do beer selection well or do food well. I didn't think Canyon's Crown did either. The waitress was great though. Probably won't be back.

Loved the decor with the dark wool and comfortable booths. The scotch eggs were delicious and something I had never heard of before. I had a Reuben which was very good and the bread pudding for dessert. We will definitely be coming back to try more from their menu.

Had a group of us gather for late lunch, early dinner on July 11th. We had good service, prices were reasonable and food was very good. The decor is very British comfortable. There is a small room off the bar for groups or family parties - it can seat about 20. I'll be returning.

  • Brian H.

I loved this place. The atmosphere was a perfect pub feel with a friendly accomodating staff. We started with the Irish nachos. They were an excellent blend of waffle fries, chedder cheese and bacon crumbles. I had the black mussels and they were unexpectedly the best I have had in town next to Kingfisher's. They were fresh, all wide open, and the savory, garlicy, broth was superb. My wife had the chicken pot pie and I kept her annoyed by continuing to sneak bites from accross the table. Flaky crust, rich gravy, tender chicken and veggies - comfort food perfection. Can't wait to get back Request: Could you please put a pasty on the menu? I know you'd do it up right!

Very nice pub with a good atmosphere. Bartender was friendly and helpful, giving us little tasters of their rotationals before committing to a pint. Awesome service and awesome place overall, I will definitely be going back!

I want to give this place a better review but neither the food or the service is consistently good enough. Actually service is fairly consistent at a "meh". Busy or dead I feel a bit neglected. Empty water glasses or waiting for my check. Not bad enough to make me angry enough to complain but enough to wonder if they have a good card game going in the back. I like some of the food a lot. I really like the pub footballs, the scotch eggs are good. I enjoy the fish and chips and the shepards pie. My husband likes the traditional English breakfast even though I don't think tater tots are very traditional. Some of the other food though is awful. Seared ahi was terrible, Guinness pie was unforgettable and the last thing I got, the corned beef and cabbage was almost inedible. The corned beef was so tough it seemed like it was barely cooked. The carrots and potatoes were just naked bland and the cabbage was oddly spiced to where it was not very enjoyable. I expect not every dish to be great. But anything they have as a house specialty I expect to be good. If I got fish and chips and a blacksmith every time I went in I would give this place 5 stars. But I am now comfortable trying different things there. Its way to hit and miss.

Great menu; wide variety. The Patty Melt and Fish 'n Chips are two of our favorites. Scotch Eggs are a nice change of pace. Salads are awesome as well. Staff is extremely personable and efficient. Good selection of draft beers. One of our go-tos for guaranteed value, taste, and service. Good atmosphere and generally quick service no matter the time of day.

  • Trixie B.

Loved my Scotch eggs and wedge salad and Dad loved his corned beef and cabbage. Daughter's first request of chicken strips and fries was rejected about 20 minutes after she had ordered it because they were out of chicken strips. She switched to a cheese steak sandwich which was low on meat and high on bread and onions. Husband had a meat pie of some sort and said it was OK and tried the mashed potatoes and left them uneaten. Pub quiz night was the highlight. Service slow and sketchy though the waiter was cute. Out of sticky toffee pudding when it came time for dessert.

I stayed at the Ramada East next door to The Canyon's Crown Restaurant and Pub. It was a bit past dinner time when I arrived at the hotel and I had zero interest in driving more that night. With that in mind I walked across the parking lot to the Crown and ordered a deluxe supreme burger with all the trimmings to go. I have a service dog and she's not used to a really loud crowd so my intention was to take food back to my room. While waiting for my order I decided to walk the dog around the loud and busy Pub for some training. After a few minutes my service dog settled down and I decided to stay in the Pub for dinner. The food was incredible ... I was offered "how would you like it cooked" ... I ordered it "Medium" ... years since I was offered how I wanted my burger cooked. The veggies were fresh, crisp and full of color. The atmosphere on Wednesday night was loud but the decor, the service, the food and the Cuthroat Stout Beer on tap made the loud voices and ball games on the tele fade into the background. I told my waiter that I'd stay in the motel next door just so I could come and enjoy dining at The Canyon's Crown Restaurant and Pub!

  • Christine B.

I can't say enough good things about Canyon's Crown. It has a comfortable atmosphere, attentive but not hyper attentive waitstaff. And we have eaten darn near everything on the menu, and have NEVER had a bad meal there. From the British fare to the burgers it is all wonderful...especially the burgers. Fantastic. It is also fun to go for apps, drinks and a game of darts. They have a nice selection on tap. If I had to root around for something to complain about I'd say it would be nice to have a t.v. free place to sit (although they keep the volume low,and it isn't sports bar ish at all there.) And the cheese sauce for the pretzels is a little like the orange nacho crap you get at the ball park. (Ick.) But those are my only complaints, and for a whiner like me that is really good. It is hands down my husband's favorite place to eat in town.

I love this place! I stumbled upon Canyon's Crown a few years ago as I was looking for a pub to watch Italy in the finals of a soccer match. So I Googled pub 85712 and 3.5 miles away is Canyon's Crown. The food is great! Lots of Shepherd's Pie is eaten here! My favorite dish was the mussels which I think they discontinued darn it that was my thing! I've never eaten anything I didn't like here. The food really is great. The beer selection is pretty amazing. They have lots of unique beers just check the chalkboard for the latest new arrivals. I told my fantasy football league about Canyon's Crown and we've been using the side private room for our league for the past few years and we love it. Staff is great lots of TVs. Happy Hour is fair a couple of bucks off of apps. Check it out!!

This is an East side place that advertises itself as an English pub. Inside is pretty cool, with dark wood, red velvety booths and an awesome bar with rotating taps. Lots of televisions throughout. We were told to have a seat wherever we wished and were promptly greeted by our server. Place had a good crowd but not packed. We ordered a couple of beers, Baily's with coffee and the Pub Footballs. Fresh jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese, then wrapped in bacon and fried till crisp. Tasty little suckers. I appreciated that there was no breading which meant that they were not at all greasy. We then had the chicken pot pie (plan to spend your daily sodium and fat intake on this dish but it is tasty, filled with shredded chicken and veggies, and a nice flaky crust). It is served with fresh veggies that were awesome, but a little too buttery and mediocre mashed potatoes. We also had a small fish and chips (crispy, and moist but batter was a little too thick and overdone). We decided that since we made it this far across town we might as well splurge on dessert (well I'm also a sucker for creme brûlée and Irish Cream) and guess what they had on the menu?? Irish cream creme brûlée!! Okay, okay, that might have actually been the whole reason for our visit in the first place. It was not the best I've had, but definitely worth having and quite a large portion. Whipped cream with a single raspberry that comes on the side was odd and misplaced but whatever. All in all, service was adequate (maybe a little quirky at times) and prices ($56 w/o tip) were not the cheapest but I've seen worse.

My husband and I visited this place last Friday and decided to come back again. The atmosphere is family friendly and the food amazing. I had the rueben sandwich and my husband had the hamburger with Mac and cheese. So very good. This is a great place for family and friends.

Aside from the tunes, this place does have the feel of an authentic British pub. Based on the suggestions we tried the Scotch Eggs, and they were indeed excellent! I'd recommend if you haven't had them before, they them at least once before falling back to typical appetizers. They do not disappoint. My husband had the Guinness Pie and had the Chicken Pot Pie. The Chicken was excellent. Well seasoned and very creamy. The Guinness Pie was incredible! My only regret, they are way across town. Can we get a second store west-side please?!

Have been here twice now and WOW it just gets better with every visit! Started off with a couple of appetizers. All amazing especially the fried pickles! The corn beef and cabbage was awesome! Will certainly be going back for some more Yum!

Just around the corner from the office and consistently excellent each time! A wonderful menu full of appetizers, traditional pub fare, burgers, sandwiches, salads... In my multiple visits over the last 5 years, I have had a variety of items from the menu and all I can say is WOW.

In hindsight, my first review of this place may have been a touch whiny. Each time I go back I like this place a little bit more. I am not quite ready to bestow five stars upon The Crown... call this one 4 and 1/2. I used to think this place was overpriced. Through Yelp I am driven to try new places and that's kind of opened up my eyes... and my wallet. Their prices are pretty much in line with any other place of it's same kind. Quality and consistency are the keys to a good dining experience and The Crown delivers that every time. The $13 price tag for the two piece fish and chips gave me pause in the past. It still may be a little high, but as you would expect from an English style pub, they do it well. Hot and crispy outside and flaky inside with plenty of fries. I think I will be hard pressed to order anything else here from now on. The moral of the story: If at first you don't succeed... order the fish and chips.

In Tucson for business. This was close to the Hotel and menu sounded interesting. The place had a brisk business on a tuesday night. The chicken pot pie was excellent, although I would have asked for a spoon if I had been able to find the waitress in a reasonable amount of time. Instead I wound up wearing a few substantial dolops on my top. Speaking of waitress... I ordered water and a glass of wine while I browsed the menu. Ordered when she came back with water (wine will be out in a minute, hon!) The pie was served (dropped off by kitchen staff) at least 5 minutes BEFORE the wine. I assure you that the bar was not THAT busy. Sticky toffee pudding was stellar. Solid food. They could probably increase bar sales with any real effort to actually SERVE the drinks ordered.

I never knew about this place until yesterday. Met a group of friends there and then had to leave suddenly. The staff was amazing, they really worked worked with us and they you could tell they were not annoyed that we had to leave so quick. The place is very cool, I love the booths that they have and the place is very open. It was kind of hard to find as the sign is not the best to see from the road. I would for sure go back here and stay longer!

One of my favorite places in town. The service here is very attentitive and nice. Happy hour is everyday of the week! You wont find that at many places. On this visit I tried the Anderson Valley's Winter Solctice Beer and to my surprise I really enjoyed it. It was very smooth and caramelized. I paired it up witb some jalapeno poppers...yum! My hubby had the calamari and enjoyed it as usual. We definitely will keep on coming back!

Ordred a burger when I took a bite got a mouth full of metal shavings. Burger went back and manager never came to our table to explain. Instead got a bill for $30 for a crappy side salad and 2 iced teas. When I asked for the manager he never showed. Imagine a child biting into that burger and choking on that metal. Due to a commitment we had to leave. I did call back and spoke to a man who identified himself as the manager, but did not provide his name. He advised me he was aware of the problem and told me the problem was a due to a bad grill brush. Needless to say I won't ever go back nor will I recommend any of my friends or family to this poor excuse of a business.

Honestly, do not have the fish and chips. Its horrible service was even worst. If you eat here you are just setting yourself up to be disappointed with a piss poor example of a British pub.

My wife and I are making the rounds for date nights in the Sabino Canyon area and this was our first visit to the Canyon's Crown. No one greeted us at first but after a minute, the bartender told us to sit anywhere we'd like and we will find you. We sat next to the fireplace and and were greeted immediately by two different employees. Our waitress came and took our drink orders. My wife ordered a premium glass of wine and I had a Guinness of course! Our waitress asked if we had any questions, and I told her to recommend something since this was our first visit. We ordered the scotch eggs for an ap. They were so good! For dinner my wife had the salmon and I couldn't resist the Reuben sandwich. Both were delivered hot and promptly. We enjoyed another round and left full and happy! We are glad that we found a great little pub to go hang out in when we are in the pub mood.

I stopped here on my way to an appointment on the other side of town and was immediately worried I wouldn't be served in time to make my appointment when I was seated in the bar area where not another soul was to be seen. However, a waitress came by to get my drink order within a couple of minutes and, since I was there specifically to try the fish and chips, took my food order at that point as well. Lo and behold, five minutes later my meal was in front of me! I was stunned! And also pretty let down, because the fish was over-cooked and very dry and just not good. (I still don't understand how the heck they overcooked it in five minutes!) The french fries were the bomb though, and it's in my neighborhood and there were several other things on menu that I'd like to try, so I'll be back.

This is as close as Tucson gets to a real English Pub. They have a greet menu of traditional English fare, and a staggering variety of beers on-tap. The staff is attentive and friendly.

Canyon's Crown is a great little pub near Tanque Verde and Sabino Canyon. Their menu is incredibly varied from standard pub fare (done very well) to cajun dishes and American appetizers. While we were there I had the Irish Nachos which were delicious waffle fries topped with standard nacho fare- these were amazingly addictive, thankfully we shared between four people or I would've eaten too much. For my entree I wanted to try the Fish and Chips but mentioned to the staff I have an egg allergy. Even though I was willing to take the risk, they not only checked into the batter but also the panko coating. Turns out it did have eggs but they came back with several non-eggy suggestions and I ended up having the Bangers and Mash which was well done and incredibly tasty. I don't normally finish an entire plate (because my stomach is smaller than my eyes) but I ended up finishing most of this. As for the fish and chips, my husband got to sample that and reported that it was quite good. Also if you're looking for a decent happy hour- hit this place up. They feature lots of beers as well as Guinness-mash-ups like a Black and Tan, Black and Blue, and Blacksmith and all beers are on happy hour for $1 off.

Nice decor. . .I like the bar set up. I haven't tried any of the menu items, but it looks good. Had an interesting night on 7/17/13. . .Chelsea, was my bartender. Well, she started off strong then notice the little things like busy shooting the shit with the regulars, showing dog pictures on her cell phone. I didn't mind, because I was being served adequately. She failed to understand how to change the channel on the television at the bar was a good indicator on her professionalism. . .Well, about an 40 minutes later was finishing my snack (the Scottish Eggs were delicious) and my Guinness, and Chelsea just set the tab down and asked if I was ready to cash out. . .she seemed disappointed that I wasn't ready. Then she copped an attitude when I asked about the annoying "hold" announcing circuit on the bar's telephone. Manager or senior bar staff. . .fix Chelsea's attitude and professionalism. This is my 3rd straight night at the bar and I like the Guinness pours from 2 bartenders, Chelsea could use a refresher.

Came here for happy hour got a salad and pretzels nothing fancy took almost a half an hour and the pretzels were half cold. Probably won't spend money here unless I'm just coming for a beer. My friend got a vodka sour tasted like watered down lemonade. The end.

One of the best places on the East Side! My boyfriend and I Love this place! The food is always delicious, served hot, and served quick. We love the the fact that they always have an amazing selection of rotating taps. If you are looking for good beer on tap and good food, you will not be disappointed with Canyon's Crown. Try the scotch eggs! The service is amazing! John and Chelsea are great bartenders and Erin is the best GM in the business!

Great selection of beer, and pub style food. One of my favorite places to spend a full evening. And it's the only place in town that had Strongbow Cider on tap.

Pub food, pub atmosphere, pub beer... you get the point. This place is solid and somewhat unique in Tucson as our best effort in the form of a British Pub. Cold beer and there are many from around the globe, shepherd's pie, fish and chips all in a bustling atmosphere with a friendly staff. Good choice for a burger a beer and a game any night of the week.

Very tasty pub-food done right. The salads are pretty good, too. The beer selection rotates, so there is always something new to try. They have a patio area that is dog friendly. There is also a good sized bar with TVs tuned to whatever sporting events are happening at the time. This is our go-to pub in the neighborhood.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I love everything about it! The entire menu is fantastic! I recommend the Irish Nachos, Bangers n' Mash, Corned Beef n' Cabbage, Mac n' Cheese, Burgers, oh whatever, I recommend everything! Be sure to have the Sticky Toffee Pudding before you leave. The staff is always helpful and friendly, and the whole place makes you feel at home, like your one of their regulars, even if its your first visit. Best British pub food outside of Great Britain!!!

I've been frequenting this place for as long as they have been open and never had a bad meal or a tap selection I couldn't dig right into. Scotch Eggs and King Corndogs are staples that need to go into your mouthholes. Also, major props for recently getting Alesmith on draft.

The closest equivalent to classic English neighborhood style pub across the pond. I love, love their fish and chips and sticky toffee pudding, lovingly served warm in the coffee mug. Great drinks, full bar, tons of sports on TV, and those super-mega-cute red plush sofas - definitely a cool place to take your sweetheart for a romantic evening. Been there about a dozen times, alone and with my buddies :) always had a great time, delicious fish & chips and my, oh, my - long, interesting conversations about love, life and everything in it. Definitely worth a try, even driving somehow far East. The Canyon Crown is right next door to Ramada hotel. PS I'm going to England soon, yay :) But our local Crown will always have a special place in my big patchwork heart :)

Update: if you haven't been back in a while, there is a new menu, new uniforms, and great chef. Portions are still huge, but save room for a new addition-fresh made cheesecake. And, of course, the large selection of beer on tap.

Came here around 7 on a Sunday. I love their plush red velvet booths, and the ambience is relaxed and fun. TVs all around. I had the fish and chips, which was good. I'm not the best critic of fish and chips, but the batter was thin and not overwhelming (though I wasn't fond of the texture), and it was served on a big bed of fries, with a really creamy tartar sauce, ketchup, malt vinegar, and a grilled lemon. Like I said, it was good, but I probably won't be ordering it again. Our waitress was also nice and accommodating--I don't like warm desserts, but I wanted the Dutch apple pie, so I asked if I could just have it cold (it's frozen, so technically I couldn't, but she asked the kitchen to warm it just enough to thaw it). I also had the adult hot chocolate, which was actually the main reason I wanted to come here--never thought to drop vodka in my cocoa. It was feisty good, but it'll probably be even better in the winter time following a hot plate of Irish Nachos (why didn't I order that this time??).

Finally a great plate of fish and chips! The hubby and I got here at 7:30 on a Friday evening and while the place was bustling, we were seated immediately, which was awesome. Unfortunately we sat with our menus for nearly 15 minutes before a lady showed up from around the corner, sans introduction, apology or explanation, and asked what we will be drinking. We had already decided our meals but she disappeared again before we could put in our order. I pretended to be tempted by the different items on the menu but really, my craving for fish and chips was insatiable. My husband decided on their crown burger. I also ordered a strongbow hard cider, since it was on draft (yes!). The fish and chips were delicious-the piece of fish was large and mostly fish and not breading (unlike other places I'd been to). Unfortunately, I picked at my food and waited because the burger that was brought to my husband was not what he ordered, so it got sent back. Despite the two set-backs, we will definitely be back to The Canyon's Crown! It is in a great central location and their happy hour goes until 7pm everyday. The atmosphere is very convincing and I can picture us enjoying much more food and drinks here.

My first time there thanks to the Yelp reviews. This is a proper traditional pub. They have a good selection of beers and they roll on a few different kind of draft beers over the weeks. The food selection is also quite sufficient, traditional pub food, so nothing sofisticated but good. I stayed at the Bar, ordered a fish & chips. Not my best fish & ships ever but honest. The place wasn't too busy but the place has a real atmosphere. Samantha was serving at the bar, she's lovely! Very kind and efficient.

First time there last Sunday night. Expensive for marginal food. Shepherd Pie was not all that great. Wife had salad with chicken on top. Chicken was dry. Place was dark on the inside but lit by the many TV's. Floor was grungy and needs a good cleaning. Looking for a reason to go back but can't find one. Perhaps to try the scotch eggs.

Best pub atmosphere I've ever been to! My boyfriend and I went during happy hour which is between 4-7pm every day! You get 1 dollar off all draft beers and snacks. We used a coupon from the entertainment books which saved us 12 bucks on a meal, hence buy one get one free. As we walked in we were greeted by a waiter whom said we can sit where ever we liked. The space is cozy, with booths and tables that have a soft red colouring to accent the dark wooden floors and chairs. Our waiter asked us if we wanted to try any of their 21 drafts they had on selection before deciding on a beer. *awesome! tasting free beer??!* I went with a Sam Adam's newest brew the Alpine Spring, it was a light tasting amber coloured beer. My boyfriend went with Strongbow cider. (beer) For a starter we went with the southwest bourbon wings. Delish! The wings were crispy and the sauce was very mild and sweet, you didn't even need to use the ranch to take the heat away! For meals I went with a challenge, the bangers & mash. Which is 3 Irish prepared sausages layed upon baked beans and mashed potatoes and on top of your "bangers" are cooked onions which are transparent and cooked all the way thru. I can honestly say I didn't eat the beans or onions because I don't like either so I can't give my 2 cents on those but the bangers were savory with a slight crisp when you bit into them. They were not spicy in anyway, a mild sausage. The potatoes were mashed of course, plain but tasty. I'd def come here again because there are so many choices and options. The waiter was very nice and knowledgeable on recommendations with your beverage and meal.

Tried to stop in on a Thursday for a beer after a U of A BB game and was greeted by some guy screaming into a mike. We could hear it as soon as we pulled in the parking lot. What the heck was that? Jeopardy for the deaf? The decibel level was insane. We will be back, but not on Thursday. The Ravenous Roofer

Bacon - now I have your attention. Jalapenos - some of you are wavering but stay with me. Perfectly medium - not too hot - jalapenos stuffed with a slightly spicy cream cheese filling, wrapped in bacon and topped off with just the right amount of a sweet-n-spicy sauce. A heavenly dish known as Pub Footballs. I rarely order an appetizer, but this is one I won't pass up. This place is one of our regular haunts. I like the traditional English-style pub atmosphere which feels a bit more upscale than what one usually finds in Tucson. It's good for a group or a cozy dinner for two. I've never been disappointed by the food or the service. Can't really say that I have a favorite dish though. Everything I've tried, and I like to try something different at each visit, has been excellent. Check it out.

Great fish n chips, great Reuben, great beers on the rotating tap menu. But what impressed me the most was our server, Kyleigh, who really took exceptional care of us, ensuring that our food was good and the portions big enough. Great recommendations throughout the meal, all of which were spot-on accurate. Friendly and helpful, Kyleigh made an already delicious meal truly outstanding! A fine pub, worthy of your business.

We've eaten here quite a lot of times in the last few months, with friends and by ourselves. There are goods and bads about Canyon's Crown. The food is pretty decent. It is not spectacular, but it is generally good and tasty. We've had the Fish n Chips and Fishwich, which are fried nicely and usually tender. The Pasta Alfredo dish is flavorful, and a nice consistency for an alfredo sauce. The Grilled Cheese is simple but good, as is the Mac n Cheese. They use multiple cheeses to help with the flavor. Sometimes they need a little additional salt, however. Their Potato Bacon soup is very good. We've only tried one or two appetizers, and they've not been anything special, but definitely edible. The portions are good, and the prices are not too bad. The service is often more miss than hit. It is often very hard to get a drink refill. I don't think we've ever had a messed up order, but we've sat without drinks for a long time. The bill can also take a little bit too long to get. I really dislike complaining in restaurants, but on at least one visit, the drink refills were so bad that I had to flag down a different server for a drink. That is not acceptable. The atmosphere is ok. It feels like a pub. It can get a little bit too loud when they have the music going, but it's not so bad. Overall, we enjoy eating here. It is a good option on most days when we want to be low-key or want to eat somewhat quickly but yet sit down to a meal. We would recommend Canyon's Crown to most!

This is one of my favorite places; fish and chips are great, pub footballs are to die for. There is a great selection of beers and the menu has a nice selection of British dishes. Servers are very pleasant and most efficient. I look forward to my next visit next week. For the sports fans, there is an abundance of TVs which are, sound-wise, not at all intrusive.

I am not a beer drinker, but Canyon's Crown seems a nice place to hang out with friends. The location is convenient for most us on the east side, and I just love this English-styled pub and its cozy atmosphere. It just feels a lot more sophisticated with the dark wood and red velvet cushions in the seating area. Also, the service was just great! In addition to the decent (but moderate) selection of beers that my friends seem to enjoy a lot, the food in Canyon's Crown is a bit better than the other bars, with more selection of the food I like. I especially love their starters, snacks, and desserts. They have some good pub food to offer such as Cajun dry-rub wings, pub footballs, and scotch eggs. For dessert, the sticky toffee pudding is definitely a star dish. You must try the sticky toffee pudding when you go; otherwise, you are going to miss out! I cannot wait to go back and try out more dishes at this place!

I like this place a lot. Nice decor and ambiance. I've only had the shepherd's pie here because it's so good that I can't bring myself to try anything else. Scotch eggs are good, too. Take them home for breakfast. Nice service. Last time we were there, our server accidentally ignored us for the first ten minutes we were seated, but when we went up to the bar to ask for service, they were super apologetic and got everything going for us really fast. I've been to lots of pubs in the UK and this is pretty authentic. Good place to watch soccer.

The only reason we went to Canyons Crown on a Friday evening is because we were given a gift card. We were seated after a 15 minute wait. The table they sat us at looked like an afterthought. Our server was very flaky and slow. The food was mediocre at best with my burger being overcooked. When it came time to pay, the server seemed to take an excessive amount of time, which gave me an uneasy feeling. On that Sunday, i was called by my credit card company saying that the very day after going to canyons crown, eight fraudulent purchases were made on my card at a gaming site. Coincidence? Maybe, but 70% of the time a card number is lifted, it happened at a restaurant. Between the slow service, the mediocre food and the strong suspicion that one of their employees fraudulently used my card number, i will not go back.

My husband and I really enjoyed it here. We had the Shepard's Pie and the Fish and Chips. Food was very good and the waiter let us sample a beer or two so we could find the perfect match. The red velvet booths and décor really took me to a old fashioned pub. Very comfortable and great service. We will be back :)

I only had a glass of wine here before I went to dinner across the street. I was disappointed that they didn't have any reds that were actually a little chilled as they should be. I'm just not a fan of hot red wine. Quaint atmosphere and a major plus because they have strongbow cider on tap.

Went a few times for trivia night on Thursday before moving from Tucson. Had a lot of fun. The servers were always a lot of fun and efficient. My advice? Go on a Thursday night, come up with a great trivia team name, participate in the Geeks Who Drink game, and share laughs with friends!

Visited for Yelp's Tucson International Supper Club, the atmosphere was great! The Scotch Eggs were impressive, and I love that their sausages are actually imported from Ireland. The corned beef and cabbage looked like an incredible portion and my chicken pot pie was delicious! Great selection of beer!

Not too shabby! Was it the best meal I ever ate? Ehhhh, not exactly. But it was tasty enough to want to go back. If you're looking for a little something festive come March, Erin Go Canyon's Crown. If you're up for a feel good pub the rest of the year, this is your place too. They used to belong to a franchise that fell apart and decided to keep the concept but run the joint on there own. Tucson should be glad they did because for classic pub fare, fish and chips, bangers and mash... this is it.

We moved here in January from Ft Wayne, In. Now, while most of Ft Wayne is lame, one of the bright spots was J. K. O'Donnels, a REAL Irish pub. We were excited to see that Tucson had an Irish pub.......what a let down. The service was "ok" not the worst ever but no extra effort to make the experience memorable enuf to return. Beer selection was eh, so-so. We both chose a double IPA, it was served in what appeared to be about a 6 oz glass and we were charged $7 each......really?! The Shepards Pie was half a gallon of BBQ sauce ,some mashed potatoes a bit of beef and very unmemorable. My g/f had the Wildcat burger, she is still in bed feeling ill. Our booth had a very bright interrogation light and the atmosphere in the restaurant/bar was really not there. Patio was smoking so that was out. Again, we have been spoiled by our fav place back in Indiana, so we had a high bar set before we even walked in here. Too many places to choose from in this town, doubt we will return.

I've been to British/Irish pubs all over, and I only wish that Canyon Crown was the real thing, but unfortunatley it's not. It's more like a chain-type place with similar food, overpriced and merely average quality, an OK selection of brews, the ambience is acceptable, though less of a genuine Brit pub than it could be if they tried. I'm not saying that it's a bad place to hang out for a little while and relax, it's just not an authentic Brit pub as the name would imply. Unfortunately this is Tucson and that's all we got :(

I recommend that you do not eat here - no one even knows what balsamic vinegar is, true story. My husband and I went here a few years back when it had just turned into Canyon's Crown and loved it. We were impressed by the delicious, classy pub fare and interesting beer selection. After not having been for a while, we went with a group of friends expecting things to be like they were before. Unfortunately, no one liked their food (burger, spinach salad, corned beef and cabbage, shepherd's pie)!! And since I didn't like the beer I got, I asked to switch it to something else, to which the server responded that since I had a sip, it couldn't be returned - but if that's true, shouldn't the point of no return be right when you pour it? Also, I asked for balsamic vinegar with my salad but not one seemed to know what it is. In fact, the server argued with me when I told her that neither the thick balsamic dressing nor the red wine vinegar she brought me was balsamic vinegar - first world problems, anyone? Shouldn't servers know these things, though? Anyway, I will not come here again unless it seriously improves because no one in our group liked their food and the service was terrible.

Solid English pub. I went with a party of four and our dishes were as follows: bangers and mash (2), chicken pot pie, and shephard's pie. Everyone rated there dish a 7 to an 8 (solid puo food territory I would say). The drink selection is good with a variety on draft; including guinness obviously and others that rotate supposedly. The atmosphere is decent, not super authentic with real wood but good still quite good and "pubbish". Our waitress was attentive but it wasn't packed so it's hard to say what would happen with a crowd. Anyhow, probably the best bet for English pub food in Tucson.

So I'm sitting here drafting this review as the spicy cream cheese and warmth of the jalapeños dances across my lips! Wow these lil guys are awesome. A lil pricey but hey life's to short to not enjoy good appetizers. So I just ordered the ccr. Chicken cheddar ranch. While I'm waiting I'll share the view. The bar is an old tavern style dark wood as is the ceiling complete with traditional wood rafters. The seating is a nice dark burgundy velour look. and the tables are a dark wood as well. The TV's are actually placed in a decent way that no matter where you're sitting you can enjoy a sport at the moment baseball is the flavor. My only gripe and purely my fault is the table that I choose is near the entrance and they didn't dress the windows to tame the Tucson sun. The beer menu is pretty impressive. They actually have GOOD beers on tap such as gulden draak, bodingtons and more. Thanks for reading.

Burgers. Tucson is a burger town. Notice how 'fine-dining' restaurants don't survive, but people line up for new burger places (In n Out, Culvers, etc.). So I have had burgers all over the valley - really, who hasn't. This is consistently the best burger - quality of meat, minimum of grease while still being juicy, flavor, size. So. I don't know traditional "pub" rules, but If you want a solid burger in a cool setting give it a try.

If you like Irish beer, which I do, this place is ok with varieties of Guinness on tap. If you like good food, this is NOT your place! We went for Sunday brunch, and one of us ordered eggs poached hard. They arrived soft and were sent back. The waitress said " you can't make a hard poached egg." What? After another 15 minutes, the eggs arrived hard. The 'mini hash browns' on the menu were tater tots, the frozen kind you got in the school cafeteria . Why not just call them tater tots? Nothing really English or Irish about it. I suspect the people cooking food in the kitchen have no training in food prep, much less in proper pub food. Big disappointment.

This poor building in the last 20 yrs. has always had a restaurant in it. It's been a Pub these last ownership changes. We have never been disappointed, even with special requests. My husband, adult son and I all order different things...everything is always excellent. The waiters/waitresses check back at regular intervals. We usually have a doggie bag. The only negative (it's minor, if I mention it-they make sure to fix it) for me is that sometimes there does not always seem like the air is cycling (?).

Woohoo for awesome bangers and mash! I visited for the International Supper Club and I will admit that I am a sucker for pub food. I was happy with everything I tried. The Scotch Eggs were done perfectly, really enjoyed them (thanks Corey!). The service was stellar and the whole vibe was definitely pleasant and family like. Even though it is quite the drive for me I will be definitely repeat customer.

I'm going to be a bit harsh here because my wife and I would really like to see a "real" pub in Tucson, or as real as it could be in the US anyway... This place could be it with a few changes. We walked in and saw the "Please wait to be seated" sign. One of the bartenders had to come around and greet us, but she immediately said "sit anywhere you want". I noticed that sometimes she didn't come from behind the bar to say the same thing to others, and sometimes a server did it. It's slightly annoying to have to wait for a host/hostess, and then be told "sit wherever you want". Why wait then? This is not the way a real pub is supposed to work. Management seemed to be a bit lacking. There were only 2 servers, there should have been 1 or 2 more probably. We had to wait a few minutes for a drink order, then a few minutes more to get them because the server got tied up. This is slightly annoying when it's 97 degrees outside at dinner time. And this is essentially a bar which serves food, drinks seem like they should be flowing freely. The above "please wait" situation probably wouldn't exist if there was a manager present, either. We had Scotch eggs which were not authentic, but still OK. Salty was a word used before by others, that's probably a fair thing to say about these. We both ordered bangers and mash. Canyon's Crown should be commended for trying to get the sausages right. This is as close as I've been to a banger in Tucson served for dinner. These had bread crumbs in them for sure. Nice. The mash were a bit sticky and salty. The beans should have just been (insert famous ketchup maker here) Baked Beans like many pubs would serve in the UK. Or at least better than those. These beans were nothing too special. I don't know if it's fair to compare this to what a pub is supposed to be. Americans might not get it. But I still wish we had one. This is as close as we get in Tucson right now. It's still worth going to once in a while.

Get the scotch eggs, amazing. I finally tried them and I am kicking myself for waiting so long. If you are hungover, get two orders! Food has always been good here. Definitely get a plus from me for having Harp on tap. Cozy little place. Usually try to get something different everytime I go there. Sheperds pie was huge amount of food and delicious. Cant go wrong with Fish and Chips here. But seriously, GET THE SCOTCH EGGS!! They sound funny, but they are delicious.

Dear Canyon's Crown, I wanted so badly to like your restaurant as Tucson lacks a proper pub. But, my medium-well burger was an over done piece of rubber, and one of your waitresses insisted on arguing with my wife. The rest of the food was unremarkable. I would like to give you another shot, but I might have trouble convincing my wife.

We called well in advance and made arrangements to eat here with a small group. The service was atrocious! Our drinks were empty most of the time and it took over an hour for our food to come. One person in our group did not get their meal for another 10 minutes, and the meal served to another person was cold and it took them well over 10 more minutes to reheat it and bring it back once we finally got someone's attention to tell them the food was cold in the first place. Everyone was fairly pleased with the quality of the food other than the bizarrely salty desserts, but we were very disappointed with the overall experience. Not worth a drive across town.

Skip to the end: I went for the fish and chips; my guest went for the bangers, beans, and mash; we both left very satisfied. The long end of it:: I had my eye on this place for a long time, because I've always wanted to try proper English food in a pub setting. Maybe it's because I've seen Shaun of the Dead a few dozen too many times? I don't know. I just know that this particular night, my cravings would not be satisfied unless I ended the night with some good quality fish and chips. Walked in, saw the dark wood interior, and immediately felt at home. It was a slow night (as are most nights when I decide to eat out), and so the bartender told us to sit anywhere. We sat next to the bar in a corner booth. The restaurant felt sort of devil may care Very dark, chairs weren't aligned, floor was slightly dingy, a couple patrons were slopped over their drinks at the bar -- I liked it. It felt like a place that's been around for a while -- a place that's very at home with itself. Started off with the pub footballs, which has to be one of the tastiest things I've put in my mouth here is Tucson. Smoked shrimp cream cheese stuffed inside a hot jalapeno, wrapped in bacon and drizzled with a sweet honey soy sauce. Pair it with any beer that requires a squeeze of citrus, and you've got every basic taste that humans can distinguish. Every component of this app is killer. If you go, you must get these. My fish and chips were really good, although I sort of regret ordering two pieces of cod instead of sticking with the one, because I was way too full at the end of the night. The tartar sauce tasted house made, and the whole plate took the heavy dosage of malt vinegar that I regularly inflict upon fish and chips rather well. My partner's bangers and mash, though -- those were the real winners. The sweet Irish sausages and the sauteed onions were dripping with juices that the mashers and beans were oh-so happy to soak up. The plate itself didn't look as big as mine, but it was good. Stick to your ribs good. They've got 20 beers on tap and NFL Sunday ticket, so if you're looking for a place to watch the game that isn't overcrowded, I imagine this would be an excellent venue. If I didn't work on Sundays, I know I'd be there. Beer, sports, and tasty British food? How's that for a slice of fried gold?

A group of us decided to try this place for the 1st time on a Friday night. There wasn't many people there at the time (around 10pm?) Maybe there's another day when it's "jumpin". On this day in particular we found the place relaxed and inviting. First impression walking through the doors was. OooO nice color scheme! As I continued to walk in and check out the area I was pleased to find wood floors, plush red booths and beautiful dark wood details. Some areas were tucked away from the main area so if on a date you could cozy up and chat comfortably. Overall appealing decor. Some random band was playing they had a decent sound real chill, and they seemed like they having a good time drinkin' and singin =) Nice background music I guess. Had a beer I can't remember and the Blue Moon Burger. YUM-MAY! Loved it! The fries were served hot in those modern little metal stands with wax paper that looked like old news papers printed on it. The food my friends ordered was tasty also. I will totally come back to try some of the other foods offered and sample the beers they have.

My husband and I love this pub! They serve all the traditional Irish fare and even have live music some weekends. The fish and chips are excellent.

After stopping in for the first time (last evening), prompted by positive reviews aplenty, my wife and I were prepared to be more than happy With Canyon's Crown. My wife and I ordered a roast beef French dip and a Ruben, respectively. We were satisfied with the service and the portions but the revelation came later. Waking this morning, I had the tell-tale after taste of salt .... lots of salt (MSG, it makes you thirsty and sells drinks). I mentioned it to my wife. Her response was that all evening, after we got home, she couldn't drink enough water. Salt! Too much salt. As a result, what would have been a 4 star rating fell to a 3 star rating in our book. Granted, a French dip au jus is naturally a little on the salty side, as are Rubens ... some salt seasoning is to be expected ... but not so much that one spends the remainder of the evening refilling the water glass or waking up the next morning with the taste of salt. Some people like a lot of salt. Most people are pretty tolerant of high levels of salt. Unfortunately, neither of us are big salt fans. So, if you're a little salt sensitive, be aware. If you like the after taste of salt (as some people most certainly do) ... lovely place.

Came for the Yelp International Supper club. Corey was awesome and bought an order of scotch eggs and "Irish Nachos" for the table. The nachos were waffle fries with cheese and sour cream, fairly run of the mill. The fries were well cooked. The scotch eggs were delicious, I'm used to them being cold and overcooked. These were served warm with a couple different types of mustard, which was nice. Main dish, I got the Guinness pie. The gravy was good, slightly over salted, but a decent flavor. The mushrooms were very insubstantial, thin slices of button mushrooms - ideally in a steak and mushroom pie (which this is basically intended to be), the mushroom chunks are of similar size to the meat. The meat was tender. Only part of the pie I wasn't very big on was the crust - it felt like it had been pre-baked and put on the stew base for service. Didn't have the texture a just-baked crust would. The asparagus they subbed out for me (there were bell peppers in the mixed veg) was well prepared and had a very slight smokey flavor to it. Not sure where that was from. The last component, the mashed potatoes, were fine, but were very definitely over salted. They were of decent quality otherwise, I like my mashed potatoes a little on the chunky side, not the homogenized paste you sometimes get. The burgers are supposed to be pretty good, though I didn't try them. Overall, decent, but nothing I'm hugely excited about. If I was in the mood for scotch eggs I'd definitely come here, but otherwise it's too much of a drive, mostly for dishes I can get on my side of town.

Great selection of beers and great pub atmosphere. The food is consistent and there is a wide variety to choose from. I like the rotating drafts. The staff are all nice and the atmosphere is good for a night out with friends or with your family. I recommend a burger and waffle fries. Absolutely save room for the sticky toffee pudding. It's to die for.

Great British pub food was not what I expected to find in Tucson, but there it was, complete with dark wood walls and creaky floorboards. Service was fine (I think we had a trainee working with a partner). For starters, we tried really hard not to fill up on Irish nachos --- mmm bacon. The bangers and mash were delicious, especially the beans and sausages (the mash was a little one-note). My (draught) Guinness was a touch too icy but I'm already looking forward to going back to try the prosciutto cheddar burger. Unless I get bangers and mash again.

One of my favs in Tucson. Found it on Yelp looking for Mac and Cheese and boy do they have a good mac and cheese (but I miss the prosciutto. The ham is not the same) We go there all the time and the service is good (some waiters are much better then others) and the food is always excellent. They do have an issue with consistency. Some dishes do not taste the same on different days. You can tell when the cooks are different here. (The other chain type places are consistent because nothing they serve is fresh so I can deal with it!)

I came here for a yelp event and no I am not giving it four stars because I feel obligated to. I am giving it four stars because ALL of the food I ate was delicious. The irish nacho are about as Irish as I am (which is not at all). I think they are only called Irish b/c one they are sold in an Irish Pub and contain potatoes. But, the Guinuess Pie was amazing. The gravy was rich and thick and the crust was a little sweet, but baked to crusty perfection. The chicken pot pie was also awesome, same rules apply cooked perfectly, lots of chicken and plenty of veggies, but the gravy makes the pies. I came back a few days later under different circumstances, and the service was again excellent. Sometimes it is hard to judge service when attending an event. (Don't cha think?) But, the manager came over to see how everything was and it was perfect. This time around I got the cabbage and corned beef, I liked it, but it wasn't my favorite--I had never eaten corned beef before---I know, I lived under a rock for the past hundred years. But the cabbage was cooked well, but not soggy, it had a slight crunchy and that made me happy. It is definitely worth the drive and getting there with the construction on TQV and Sabino Canyon can be a pain, but it time well spent.

We were looking for a good sandwich or burger, and the menu at The Canyon's Crown looked pretty extensive, so we decided to give it a try. I guess the interior of the restaurant is supposed to look like an English pub. I loved it! Lots of dark wood, red velvet upholstery, and overall pretty dark. Some people might not like the dark interior, but on a hot Tucson day, I found it relaxing. The beer selection is extensive, with lots on tap. Now for the food: ok, but not worth what they were charging. We both got burgers, me the Blue Moon (onions and blue cheese), my husband the Southwestern I think it was called (guacamole and green chili). They were good, but not great, and I firmly believe that if you have to pay over $10 for a burger, it should be great. The onion rings were pretty good, but standard, and the same could be said for the fries. I think that if The Canyon's Crown was closer to where I lived, we would be back for beer and the atmosphere. But I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

this place is so awesome. g and i wanted pub food and pub food was what we got. and the experience was laid back and relaxing. - our server was crazy sweet and helpful with lots of great recommendations and quick drink refills. - luxurious decor: cozy, red velvet booths, beautifully detailed bar and ceilings, a working stone fireplace. charming ambiance. - $2 ska brewing pinstripes all night - yay for g! - well vodka is smirnoff and well vodka tonics are $3.50 - yay for me! - the pretzels are new york style and very yummy, and are served with the requisite "nacho" cheese. - fish and chips and burger were both excellent, and both were served as ordered =) - did i mention our server was amazing? we got a 10% discount off our food because we were staying at the hotel across the street: yelp.com/biz/comfort-sui… happy hour specials (discounted appetizers, beer and mixed drinks) start at 10 pm, but we didn't hang around to take advantage of them. i can't wait to be back in tucson to go back - i really loved everything about this place.

Went here for Sunday brunch. They should stick to their core competency. Brunch seemed like an afterthought. They ran out of corn beef hash and had just opened. Monte Cristo sandwich was okay but not made the traditional way. Just ham and cheese between two pieces of French toast. No jam to dip. Service was so-so. Food is usually just okay but I would avoid the Brunch. Only four or five things on the menu. Meh.

This food here is the bomb!!! Everything on the menu is excellent, and I think if I had the money, I would eat here all meals of the day. The beer is also damn fine and damn good. All sorts of British selections. If you want good food, good beer, good service, and a nice venue, this is the place for you.

The food was great. Everyone in my party of 4 had something different and we had two appetizers. Everything was good. The stuffed jalapenos were the highlight of a wonderful meal.
