I really liked the food..I ordered the Arizona grilled chicken and added cheese and jalapeno...it was quite delicious. My mom orderd the new sin city burger. It looked good she said it was too salty. The fries are nice, light and crisp. The order taker behind counter would be the only reason I dont return. I work in customer service and pride myself on being friendly and kind to people. She was niether, wouldnt even crack a smile and rolled her eyes when my mom ( who is 75 ) asked what was in the burger she wanted to order

I went there for the first time. I was impressed by how clean it was. Everything was nice and kept. We went to order our food and the cashier didn't really seem enthused to see us and besides us there was only 1 couple there. He took our order and seemed a bit annoyed but whatever. A single employee isn't gonna kill my review. I ordered a truffle mushroom Swiss burger with a gluten free bun. Let me just say THANK YOU for offering this. I'm sensitive to gluten and often miss out on good food because no one has the option. And honesty my fiance says the gluten free bun was better than the regular one so I would say try it out! The only main complaint besides the grumpy cashier was the buffalo fries. The smash fries were delicious! It was like rosemary olive oil fries I believe. I was excited about the thought of buffalo fries. What I got was....something. Its not buffalo sauce like I pictured it would be. It was like a buffalo/salt combo powder that was sprinkled on the fries. It didn't taste like buffalo sauce at all and it was so salty it made my lips sting. Idk...I would probably swap it to actual sauce. It would be WAY better that way. Besides that the burgers were hot and really flavorful and service was pretty quick. All in all a really good place for a decent burger.

The food is definitely tasty. However, the two times I've gone, they got my order wrong. The first time, they gave me a beef burger when I ordered chicken. The second time I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich and it was a grilled chicken sandwich. If there were no errors with my order, this place would easily earn 5 stars. It's clean, the food is great and the wait isn't very long.

I am that person that gets a salad at a burger joint, yes. I give the grilled chicken goat cheese salad 4 stars here because it was decently sized and healthy. A bit pricey because the chicken was $2 to add it on and was pretty small. Good flavor though!

I wish this place was awful. I wish their burgers were tasteless and buns stale. And, if all these things were still not true - then I wish it was 100 miles away. Unfortunately for me, the burgers are freaking awesome, the fries are delicious, the buns are soft AND crispy. And it's located like, a mile from my office. Welp, my diet is screwed. Actually... not so screwed, they have sweet potato fries, bun-less burgers... they even have a gluten free burger. So theoretically, I could go there and still eat healthy. Theoretically. Also? There's milkshakes. PS: Service is always great! Folks are as nice and professional as can be. You've got some good manager-coaches here.

Now that there is a Smashburger closer to my house, I decided to give it a shot. The service was really, really excellent for fast food. The food, on the other hand, was not worth coming back for. I ordered a regular Smashburger (why not try the thing they named after the restaurant?) and the haystack onions. The onions were soggy with grease and had no crisp to them at all, which made dipping them in the sauce nearly impossible. They were seasoned, but I didn't care for the flavor of the onions themselves. The dipping sauce was pretty good, though. The burger seemed like it had been smashed AFTER being assembled, as the ingredients were spilling out one side. The tomatoes were actually disgusting -- mostly white, hard center. The burger itself seemed to be over-salted and was otherwise nothing to write home about. It wasn't terrible, aside from the bad produce on top and the sloppy assembly. But I wouldn't come back for it. There was a photo on the wall depicting a kid eating a hot dog, and I was briefly excited that they had hot dogs. Then I noticed the hot dogs only come in kids meals, as are the chicken strips. I think kids menus are a little patronizing to begin with, but it's actually baffling to me when a place puts items on the kids menu that aren't on the adult menu. A grill like this could probably make some nice hot dogs. Of course, if they can't get hamburgers right, there's no reason to expect the hot dogs to be good.

So it was hubby's and I's first time there, and let me tell you service was amazing and the food was even better!!! Even the fountain drink was good:) Our meat was so tasty and juicy. Fries were tasty and nothing was greasy! O the fried pickles are sooo yummy!!! The place was nice and clean. Amazing service matched by amazing food and clean environment O and great prices might I add. We will definitely be returning customers. I definitely recommend this place, try it!!! You won't regret it!

The service here is fantastic. The employees are well trained and seem to be happy. I often see the district manager there checking on how the place is running. The food options are different from the norm, and that's refreshing for a change. The best part is that they serve beer. The price is moderate but it's worth it for what you get. I highly recommend giving it a try. I haven't tried any other locations but I would expect that they are equally as good.

Ok, so this is my 3rd time eating at smash burger and the first time at this location. I'm rating my experience overall and not just my experience today. First, smashburger has a trendy name and they have attempted to try to brand themselves that way as well. They serve the food in a wire basket which is cute but give you total junk plastic silverware. Smashburger offers a variety of sides from fried pickles, rosemary and olive oil fries (smash fries), and other side items not found at every other burger joint. Now, onto the burgers for me they have been hit or miss, today's was a complete miss. It was completely dry and almost reminded me of meat from a jerky stew or something. They advertise always juicy burgers. Smashburger offers two sizes smash, and big smash or something along those lines basically ones a 1/25 bigger. We have done the larger of the two each time. They never ask how you would like your burger cooked and I'm assuming because like the name they smash the hell out of the burger. Basically, the patty is flat and this type of cook reminds me of a fast food restaurant called steak n shake. So, the burger for me isn't a smash in the sense of a homerun. What I do like us the choice in buns which have all been pretty good. We also tried the milk shakes I had the salted Carmel and my fiancee had the cookie n cream. I didn't care for mine at all. Basically, all they did is put Carmel in ice cream. I asked if they used salted carmel and they said no, I asked if they used salt with the carmel and they said no. It's pretty hard to be a salted carmel shake without the salt. Now, my fiancee loved his cookies n cream. I'm glad he did after all they used cookies. So, here's the the sandwich the buns are awesome, the burger no so much, and the sides are awesome and try the deserts just not the salts. The last thing I want to say before I leave this smash of a review I was a little upset because when we walked in they had a sign up stating buy $25.00 in gift cards and get $5.00 free. Well, we had forgot gifts for two of our friends we were meeting tomorrow and told them we wanted to buy the gift cards and they said the deal ended yesterday. Well, looking on the sign in fine print it did end yesterday but not only was that sign up but it was on every single table. I would think they would have honored it. Although, in hindsight I'm lucky they didn't because it wouldn't have been a very good gift. What is a good gift is 3 stars. Happy New Year.

Tried it for the first time yesterday, burger was excellent along with the service. Burger actually tasted like BEEF! Yum! Lost a star for being pretty pricy for fast food but definitely going back, the Arizona burger was excellent

Went here with some friends after a meeting. I got a shake and smashfries. The service was in getting the fries was great, but by the time I got the shake I was done with the fries. The fries were good and so was the shake, but the service was a bit slow, especially considering we were the only ones in the store. I have had their burgers before, but have not been impressed, but I am not reviewing their burgers in this review.

Saw this place in a strip mall as we were driving to another place to eat. Decided to stop and get something here instead. Good plan! Hubby had an Arizona burger. Cooked really well and even though it was smashed the edges weren't burnt and the burger was still juicy. The Arizona burger with all its toppings was really spicy. He loved the heat! He also got the Smash fries and really liked them too. I just had a chocolate milkshake and it was delicious. The servers were friendly and the food came quickly. It's surprising that this place is in a strip mall, but it's great nonetheless! We'll be back, for sure.

If u like thin and salty meat than it is a good place for you to eat. I also had their chicken salad and I'm sorry its nothing comparable to Asian chicken at Wendy's..

Had the avocado club. It came without the avocado. If you want a dry burger with extra salt and mayo this is the joint.

Finally tried smashburger after hearing a few good things from friends. If your favorite place to eat a hamburger also has a drive thru option then this place is for you! Service was ok at best, food was nothing short of disappointing if you are looking for a quality hamburger. It is definitely reminiscent of a dressed up assembly line burger. On the plus side they do have beer so that is that...

Quick and easy.. I love their burgers and I'm stoked that they just put one by my house!

Wow. Just wow. For the most part, I'm not burger person. I've tried just about every burger joint in town and after a while, they all started tasting the same. Smashburger opened up in our neighborhood so my husband and I said "Why not" and gave it a shot. Boy were we impressed. I must say that Smashburger awoke the burger fire within me and restored my faith in humanity. Let's start with the service. You order at the counter. You can get your food to go but if you eat in, they will bring it to your table. No plastic trays here. Everyone is so super friendly. You can really tell that they emphasize good service and care about the customer's experience. They definitely make sure you have everything you need. Now on to the food. They offer an array of burgers with various toppings like goat cheese, etc., but we like it simple. We each ordered a Classic Smashburger and shared an order of the Smash Fries. He had a chocolate shake and I had the vanilla. Let me start by saying that I judge a burger joint by their classic burgers. After all, if they can't get that right, how good can everything else be? Well, we were blown away. Everything they use is absolutely the freshest, from the bread, to the meat, to the veggies. Everything. The buns were soft, but still able to hold everything together. The patties were so juicy and flavorful. Just the right thickness. The cheese was gooey and wonderful. I also like the fact that they use fresh green lettuce and not disgusting iceberg like everybody else. The Smash Fries were shoestring cut and tossed with garlic, rosemary, and olive oil. So delicious! The chipotle mayo dipping sauce complimented them perfectly. Oh and the milkshakes were divine! Hand spun with real milk and ice cream made for one of the best milkshakes I've ever had. Plus they're generous with the portions. We had to end up getting to-go cups. All in all, Smashburger is an amazing joint that makes an undeniably spectacular burger. They definitely take pride in their food and go out of their way to make sure you have an amazing experience. Simple. Unpretentious. Perfect. Will I go back? Every chance I get!

So u tried smash burger for the first time today and honestly, I was not impressed. Don't get me wrong I give the service 5 stars, we were helped right away, and all the girls in the front were very helpful and nice. The thing I wasn't impressed with was the food. My husband got a bacon burger and I got the classic chicken. My husband wasn't too impressed, he said He's had better. My chicken was so thin, I didn't understand how they got it that thin. I felt I was pretty much eating bun and veggies. For the price we paid I didn't think it was worth what we got.

The only reason you are even getting 2 is cause the burgers were good. I'm trying to figure out how you mess up an order when we were the only order you had for about 15 mins. And instead of making new fries you took my whole plate to the back where I can't see you and just added the seasoning. Which you didn't even mix. The fries were covered in oil I had to use 3 napkins to take the oil off and undo your laziness since you didn't want to mix them right. You also have no connection with your customers. No one came to do a table touch to ask how the food was or even if we needed anything after your mess up. Employees walked by us numerous times and still nothing Your team is clearly lacking motivation to have high standards. One table stayed cluttered with plates and trash for about 20 mins. A couple of your employees just stood around talking doing little to no work at all. Not sure if they are just lazybones or maybe not empowered to have an amazing restaurant. Things could've been cleaned and stocked. Hopefully all this will help you guys pull it together.

Service was good and the food was good. I'd been leery of going because a "smash burger" to me was always one with stuff "smashed" into it, and I don't like 'em. I ended up meeting friends here because one of them absolutely LOVES this place. Turned out a "smash burger" doesn't have stuff smashed into it, but is smashed down on the grill when cooked. It was somehow still juicy, too. I'd go back and eat here again.

WORST Smashburger location EVER! First off, my BF and I are BIG Smashburger fans! (BTW, I am a FEMALE posting as "John.") We LOVE the Broadway & Alvernon and Grant & Swan locations. Tonight we tried the 22nd Street store and were NOT impressed. We ordered: A caramel shake and an Arizona Cobb Salad for him, and I had the new (for me) Spinach and Goat Cheese Salad. We waited.. and waited... and waited! The place wasn't very crowded (Fri. at about 6), and there were no patrons ahead of us: Everyone else in the restaurant was eating. Finally -- about 20 minutes later -- the food came out. Both salads were ordered "add grilled chicken." WHERE was the chicken? There was this whitish wafer thing sitting atop each salad -- no signs of being browned and PAPER thin! In addition, neither salad had been tossed -- everything was just DUMPED into the bowl. (If you have had either of these salads, you know how many different components go into them.) OK, so we tossed our own salads. But we had paid extra for the chicken add-on. The chicken was AWOL! And barely cooked. In addition, my BF's caramel shake was disappointing. There was hardly any caramel in it -- it was more like a VANILLA shake. Afterward, I asked for a manager. The "manager" that was called over was a fairly young female. When I began telling her about her less-than-positive experience, she acted completely disinterested! She had an excuse for everything: We have only been open a month or so, corporate now sends us the chicken "pre-smashed," blah blah blah blah. What REALLY floored me was her attitude. I have never seen a more lackadasical, apathetic "manager" of an establishment in all my life. She never shook my hand, never introduced herself. She never emphatized and never apologized. It was just, "Okay." Needless to say, we are NOT returning to this location. If you want to go to Smashburger -- which I HEARTILY recommend -- go to Alvernon and Broadway or Grant and Swan. The food is FABULOUS, the service FAST and FRIENDLY, and they actually GIVE A CRAP about their customers!

The second time I have been to this Smashburger location. Ordered my favorite, the big Arizona burger with extra jalapeno and a side of fried pickles. The fried pickles are no longer on the Smashburger menu but you can still order them no problem. The burger came out fast and perfectly cooked. The jalapeno were fresh and crisp. They must of accidentally put too many pickles in the batter because the order was HUGE. Bonus! The service was outstanding. "I brought you extra ranch dip since the order of pickles is so large." to "May I fill up your ice tea? Please?" No other fast food place I've been to insists on refilling drinks or bringing extra ranch without being asked. I guess this is a fast food joint; burgers served fast. I love Smashburger.

Great place to eat. This location goes out of it's way to be the best in town. Great hot food, great service and employees that care about your visit. Two thumbs up!
