This is my new favorite late-night food spot! This gem has a unique menu, friendly staff and bare bones ambiance that seems to fit perfectly! I am mildly addicted to their Teriyaki Tofu! It is cripsy outside and soft inside with the perfect amount of tangy Hawaiian BBQ sauce. My fiancee has tried many of their items and loves that they have spam and eggs! I think we have been there 5 times since our first discovery of the dive 2 weeks ago! If you are looking for some late night grub besides Nico's, Taco Shop and Old Chicago, I recommend this place highly!

My daughter loves to go to Shooter's for karaoke. But after 3 or 4 visits she was YELLED at. YELLED at by the bartender (owner?). She said, "If you don't order an alcoholic beverage you're out of here." Apparently coffee is not enough to stay at Shooter's. Rules are fine, but to yell and embarrass my daughter...unacceptable. I ask all karaoke singers to boycott this mean lady.

I've now been to Shooters a few times and I've never been disappointed. It's a good bar, but also a great restaurant if you like bar food. Shooters is the perfect place to get a burger and a beer, and watch a game or just hang out with friends. They portray a sort of "rough around the edges" look but in reality the people there are friendly. It also seems to be a gathering place for many leather-clad, grizzled Harley riders, there always seem to be a few there every time I go. Overall Shooters creates a fun atmosphere. The building itself is an old mosque turned bar. Inside they have some table games like pool, shuffleboard and darts if you're so inclined, but mostly drinking. Shooters does host karaoke on certain weekends, I'd call ahead and make sure since its not always the case. The food that I've had there has been great so far. I usually take friends there for the Monday burger night. 3.50 for a big bigger, another dollar for fries? Can't beat it. The burgers are large and juicy, usually perfectly charred on the ends. Their onion rings are some of the best I've ever had too. Other than that I've had a reuben and a few steaks there, and I've never been disappointed. Don't get me wrong, its not the Fleming's of steaks but for the price and venue, I was very impressed with the quality. Shooters also does appetizers really well. I've come here for karaoke and beer where we ordered some wings, onion rings, jalapeno poppers I believe? It was awhile back. Given we were all a few drinks in, but also impressed with their frying skills. One thing I personally like about Shooters is they always seem to have the Full Sail Session Lager on sale, like less than $3 sale. I love the Full Sail brewery and for cheaper-than-domestic prices you can't beat it. Others I've been with have also enjoyed Shooters is a great place to kick back and have a beer, and order some bar food. I can't speak to a lot of their more extravagant dishes as I've mostly stuck to the sandwiches here but overall its a fun, affordable place to drink and eat.

Started our office holiday extravaganza with drinks at Shooter's. The place was BUSY as there was a holiday party going on in the front patio area plus Shooter's was the check in place for Arizona Party Bike rides through Winterhaven. We made our way through the crowded patio and in to the bar where we gathered around a table with a giant beam/pole in the middle of it which made it a little difficult to actually talk to others at the table besides those closest to me physically. As busy as it was, we were still treated very well and we had drinks in our hands within moments. Kinda hard to tell what the normal vibe of Shooter's would be but I will be finding out because, HELLO? $1 tacos!!

Invited by a friend for Sunday $1 Tacos. Great idea along with pretzel bites, onion rings, and portobello mushrooms. Friendly service and tasty tacos.

I absolutely love this fun little dive bar. It's right around the corner from my house so I can take a short walk there and home. I've only ate here once or twice but the food was really good! Drinks and food are both cheap which is always a plus!! As for late night fun this place is awesome! There is karaoke every Sunday night and the crowd is always friendly. I've never seen it get too rowdy but everyone is always having a good time. There are darts, pool tables, shuffle board, pac man, and other arcade games. The bartenders are just as friendly as the guests and provide great service. The only downfall I can see is how clean the bar feels. I haven't decided if it's just the ambiance/western setting that makes it feel a bit dirty or if it's just slightly under kept. In the end it's not a huge issue because I feel comfortable enough to go in for a beer and game of darts in my yoga pants!

Good food, great daytime bartenders. Dirty bathroom and no soap.

So, in fairness, this is more of a restaurant. But it was on the list and was probably the least memorable of all of our stops. The staff was friendly enough. I might be back to eat. The grill cooking the steaks smelled really good.

My boyfriend and I each ordered the rib eye cooked medium. It was flavorless and tough. Expensive for a meal that I couldn't chew.

Great staff. It's just needs some work. It's seemingly odd. Things just do down hill if it's not kept up.

We were drawn in by the promise of $3.50 for a great big half pound burger. That's their Monday special. Toppings like cheese, bacon and green chiles are an additional $.75. You can also get any side you want (fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings, cole slaw) for $.75, so you are still only shelling out a Lincoln. Talk about buns of steal! Their tap beer selection won't make local gastropubs nervous but at least they have Sierra Nevada on tap. Service is what you would expect and probably not for the finicky. If you have a problem watching your server place her hand around the rim of your glass as she sets it in front of you this place may not be for you. Service was, however, pleasant. If you love burgers, or even if you just love a good deal, you owe it to yourself to end what most think is the worst day of the week going here and stuffing a burger in your face.

We have never had a bad burger here, nor have we had anything but very pleasant and competent service. The burgers, for about $4 including a large order of fries, sweet potato fries, or onion rings, taste like they were cooked over mesquite. Where can you get a better value than that? Macdonalds? Forget it. In-Out? Forget that also. FUddruckers, Zin, Monkey? No way. This is hands down the best deal we have found in Tucson. We are in no way associated with Shooters. Just regular and very happy customers.

I've always wanted to go here after walking Winterhaven many times and seeing Shooter's, but just never went until now. Boy, did I pick the right day! Monday is the burger special- a big old hamburger with the fixings for $3.50! Add a side and it's about $4.50. That's about half the price! The burger was prepared as asked- very rare. I didn't ask any extras like cheese, just the usual condiments. Some sweet potatoes were very tasty although a little cold. My dad got the same but with onion rings and they got his burger well done perfectly. Feels like it could be a neighborhood bar but I imagine it attracts others. I was surprised how empty it was for a Monday evening and with such a good burger deal. There are other specials throughout the week including I believe ribeye. Service is good, nice atmosphere. I'll be back, especially on Monday!

Karaoke night ... The DJ clearly had an agenda. We had selected our songs well in advance and he still didnt play any of our music. We submitted 13 songs. 2 hours later he STILL hadn't played any of them. Wtf??? The guy was clearly not in the karaoke business. Albeit, we went on 4th of July, but the competition had nothing to do with independence day or the like. Maybe it had something to do with favoritism? Not sure. But we will not be back.

TERRIBLE!!! They call this a steak house? There were two options for steak and some sort of meat "tips" that didn't have a name in some sort of sauce. There was one waitress running her butt off and an extremely salty margarita (more salt was in my drink than on the rim!) My steak (rib eye) was tough and didn't seem very fresh. There was a lot of hooting and hollering going on from the bar and it seemed more like a local dive/hang-out than a steak house. Located in the middle of nowhere, dead end street with a dark, intimidating parking lot! NEVER again... even if it was FREE!!!!!!!!!!

This is a great place to come have a delicious steak for dinner! Sunday nights are especially fun. Just after 10pm the karaoke starts the crowd rolls in! They have beer and liquor specials and the place turns into a great party!!

Stopped in with a buddy after racquetball...Monday night, very quiet...perhaps 10 others in the bar/restaurant and on patio. Layout is a bit odd....all *bar* aspects are crammed within the first 20 feet of the place (pool tables, darts etc.), seemed poorly thought out, and uninviting to stay. Food...fairly standard Tucson bar/grill food...probably a bit overpriced, and completely average in taste. This wasn't my first time here, but I can't really see any reason to return.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I was forced to give this place at least one star, but it's more of a -5 in my book. The staff drugs its patrons. It has happened to way too many people I know, at this bar only, out of all the bars in Tucson, on too many separate occasions, for it to be a coincidence. I can't speculate on what motivation these people would have to do something like that. I can only attest to the fact that it happens, and that is just icing on the cake that is the attitudes of the Shooters employees. They are the absolute rudest people imaginable. From the bartenders to the security guards, they treat their customers like a bunch of huge inconveniences. Apparently, nobody told them that we are the reason they have jobs! They will refuse to serve people and/or kick them out for completely arbitrary reasons, if any at all. This place is honestly nothing special. Its big night, Sunday, highlights bad karaoke, which you can get almost anywhere else, depending on the night. You will find nothing here that you can't find at another bar. Nothing about Shooters is worth getting roofied or harassed by the people you're keeping employed. If you do go, my advice is don't make eye contact with any of the employees, for fear that they will throw you out, and don't drink anything they give you, unless you're trying to build up an immunity to date rape drugs.

I have been here a couple of times but just went again this Friday and it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Positive: it was karaoke night and they have that every other night or so, the patrons were super friendly, the atmosphere was fun and inviting, they have an outside area and an inside bar and dining area, they have pool, great drink specials, pretty decent fries Negative: they were understaffed in the waitress department... I had to go and find the one waitress to place an order and she was the only waitress for the inside of the restaurant that I saw.

I am definitely a fan of this place, Monday Burger Nights = Delicious 3.50 for the original burger and 75cents more for sides or extras on the burger. Totally worth it, i really like this place a nice dive, very homely and comfortable of a place. I definitely will be back, the bartender gives heavy pours too, we didn't know her and she was very nice Its a good dive to go to, i enjoy me a good place to eat, totally worth it. I spent maybe $10 dollars tonight, and i thought i splurged in what i got, so definitely a good deal. Friendly place, small crowd not really bumping but maybe because it was a monday, but that is what i kind of prefer a nice kick back place with a few people sitting around. The burger was REALLY good, sadly they ran out of sweet potato fries, which saddened me but i will be back to get me some spf's YUM!!! They have two pool tables, 1 table shuffle board, air hockey, pinball machine...and maybe more i wasnt consciously looking around for what they had...they had the double sided pacman table/game~edit~ the game is galaga... ~edit~ I had their ribs...um...the meat fell off the bone...SUPER HOT! (like sexy hot)

Love this crazy mosque/western bar. Yeah, I bet you never thought those two could be combined. You can't really call this place a dive because 1. it has a theme 2. it's really pretty clean 3. it serves up some very delicious food. The food is prepared with care and the staff are good people. Burgers are very good and so is the Friday Fish Fry (and don't forget some super creamy and super clam-y clam chowder). I haven't seen the late night scene or karaoke, so I can't speak for that. But it seems like the perfect place to belt out a tune or cozy up to a fire on a cold winter evening.

If you are looking for a saloon / mosque / steakhouse, this is the place! We went for happy hour and had great drinks and food for good prices. They have a variety of appetizers for $4.99, and drink specials for less than $3.00. It is also one of the few places that has NTN trivia. I have always found the waitstaff to be attentive. My only complaint about it is that while Shooter's is very clean, it also smells of sanitizer and cleaning solution. I could smell it wafting through the air and it didn't go very well with dinner. But that's it. Otherwise, a great place to hang out and grab a drink or a bite to eat.

Never eaten here, but I love going to Shooters on Wednesdays for a great night out and some Karaoke! The drink specials are ridiculous!

Old time Tucson favorite. What kind of local neighborhood bar looks like it was dropped out of the sky from the middle east? One that used to host a magician doing magic shows. Best steak sandwiches (for the price, trim the gristle). Ambiance has to be seen to be believed. Good place for lunch. Did I mention steak sandwich?

We were going on the Winterhaven hayrides and this was the recommended meeting place. We ate a sirloin steak sandwich and a bacon cheese burger with fries. The food was excellent. They have a grill pit out front which provide warth, smell and great flavor for the food. The fried were also seasoned and batter dipped. They were so crispy and delicious. The place is mostly a bar with pool tables, air hockey, and video games but also a eating plac in back. There were TVs located around the place and interesting decor. The wait staff was very polite and they even said great things to my young girls. Its not the fanciest place around but with fair prices and ample parking, this was a place we would return.

The Mac and cheese is so delicious with a taste of tart. Mouth watering margaritas on a Sunday afternoon with $1 gringo tacos just like my mama used to make. My fellow diners had french dip, burgers, onions rings, and fries. They ate it all. No complaints from any of us. Out waitress probably didn't come to our corner table as often as she could have but we still thought she did a great job.

Great tacos on Sunday. The rest of the food was forgettable. The French Dip was the Tucson usual - brown mystery meat and salty brown bouillon water for the au jus. Why can't they serve what the menu describes? The burger was dry and overcooked and the meat was cut in half - apparently the cook uses that method to test for doneness. Service was mediocre. And I absolutely detest those crappy straws they put into their drinks. I want a straw I can drink soda with, not a coffee stirrer. The owners were there, schmoozing with the band but not even acknowledging their customers. I don't think we need to go back there again. We used to like to go there alot but sadly it has gone downhill in the last 2 years.

It was a cool dark night, a clear white moon... Shelly c was on the street... Can I just say best little kereoke joint in town??? Came out on a friday night and grabbed an outrageously delicious bowl of clam chowder....so good but literally took 30 min to get the food... Anyway. After jamming out to the likes of tenacious d, the who, salt n peppa, dr dre, spice girls, journey, and wrapping it up with a tearful rendition of wilson phillips 'hold on' ...I headed home full of laughter and plenty of jack and cokes. This will prob be my friday go to from now on. Good job shooters!

$3.50 burger on Monday? YES SIR! Not much can be said for the interior, or the rest of the menu, or the alcohol selection (although not terrible), but a burger for under four bucks, I'm a fan. I will say it was a little overcooked, so if you like no pink, go medium instead of medium well which is what I did. A la Five Guys, you can add a slew of toppings, but it'll take your burger price up a bit, so choose carefully. Oh and Monday is Karaoke! I missed 'em, but a decent patty is worth another trip for the tunes!

this is one of my favorite Tucson bars! Karaoke, pool, shuffleboard, and cheap drinks all in one spot? yes please. i have not sampled their cuisine, so I cannot comment on that, but as far as a being a great local watering hole, this place fits the bill. its a classic laid back bar in the old pueblo, that's way more chill than the bars on 4th ave.

Color me disappointed. This was our third and probably last, visit to Shooter's. It has steadily gone downhill. Tonight was dinner and a movie night. We hit Shooters around 6pm and sat in the bar so we could catch football. MBH had a porterhouse, I had a ribeye. We also ordered some onion rings and fries. No seasoning whatsoever on anything. The fat/grease that our steaks were laying in on the plate pretty much killed our appetite. I ate half of my dinner, he did a little better. I know I complained about the salad 'bar'...tonight it was even worse. Aside from lettuce and dressing (and about 6 croutons in a bowl) everything else was empty. The shrimp chowder had that distinct in a can taste. I'm sad about this. Shooter's is a cool little place but if this is where they're taking their grill, they're in serious trouble.

First off I'm giving 4 stars because I didn't try the food and without that how can I really judge it as perfect? Ok so last night I took my husband out for dinner and karaoke. He loves karaoke but it's been years since he went, because we have two children with disabilities. We didn't realize Shooters was a steakhouse, so we ate before coming. Still the waiter was very friendly and attentive even though we were only drinking coke and water (not mixed, that would be gross). The waiter seemed to be the o ly one in the room after a certain time, but he did well and remained friendly although I could tell after a while he was really tired. Everyone in the room was super friendly and happy (even before they were drunk). I can't wait to come back and try the food, the proces look amazing.

  • J.O. T.

The only reason to go to Shooter's is the Sunday afternoon concerts. They have great musicians most every Sunday afternoon. The outside area is a great place to listen to music. Beyond that...forget this joint. Crappy fried food with a lousy beer and wine selection. Service? What service? We waited 30 minutes for drinks and an hour for the food. There's too many great places in town now. Go downtown, UNLESS there is a band. Then just kick back and enjoy the tunes and go somewhere after to eat...The only reason this joint gets two stars is the music.

  • Kimmi R.

Ordered a steak med-rare with sides it came out well done, I sent it back, with my side's and had it remade this time it came out mid-well with no seasoning on a plate by itself, where did my sides go? Very disappointing!

This place rules! The food was awesome, the drinks are cheap, and the owner is a sweetie. Girl ain't afraid to get down.

fantastic place. the moorish building hides a biker steakhouse/BBQ pit/dive bar, you know the type. just another mosque-turned-harley hangout. lots of after work beers by construction types, good crowd on the week-ends. the food was actually better than I thought it'd be, and my 70 year old parents loved it, which shocked me to no end because they usually don't hang out at biker steakhouses. sometimes, but not usually.

  • Brian H.

Kind of dead on a Saturday night, but it was okay. With drinks at 1985 prices, who can quibble? Was told this was previously an Indian restaurant (it looks like a mosque). The place is also aptly named... a shooting occurred in the surrounding neighborhood during our visit, and the police helicopter's search light traced through the courtyard more than a few times.

Great grub. Trouble is the burgers and Reuben are so damned good, I haven't tried must else. BEST Reuben I've ever eaten. Great fries, but for health reasons I go with the steamed veggies side. Big serving of veggies and cooked better than any place in town.

Well well well, Hello fellow yelpers, long time no talk! I've been boycotting this site due to the fact that people who just check in to every business around them get to be king and I get screwed for playing fair, but, whatever! Thats a different topic I'll have to take up with Yelp HQ. Why I am back, you say? Good question!! Well, Shooters Steakhouse and Saloon left SUCH an impression on me that I felt the need to share it with you. So... there I was... Sunday night, out with a lovely young lady... we head up to RA for some sushi, drinks and dancing (4.5 stars for them, btw)... but, alas, they close at midnight. Now, I, am a night owl, and the young lady is a party animal, a combination made for a 2AM last call. So, some friends of ours inform us that Shooters, in fact, is "poppin" on Sundays... So we're off! We get there, wait in a short line to enter, my brother is meeting us there, so, when I get to the bar I text him "at the bar, bruh!"... look around, not bad, moderatly crowded, karaoke going on... fairly clean, cool... WRONG! I wait, and I wait, I look at my phone, ten minutes since I texted the bro, still waiting for service, but hey, it's semi-busy, and I've come to realize Tucson bar tenders tend to be a bit slower than most cities, so I wait some more... At fifteen minutes, and after I see three groups of people whoapproached the bar after I did I make an attempt to flag down a bartender... "We're trying to help everyone" was the sharp answer that was spat at me. Ouch. ok... 20 minutes since I arrived at the bar... I say something like "gimme some help please!" to a bartender... her reply was the same... I say "Well, the people you just made those 8 shots for got to the bar 15 minutes after I did, whats the order here? Lightest to darkest?" Now, I'll admit, the little racist jab at the end might have been uneccesary, but hey! What do you want from me, I'm a dude at a bar at 12:20... no 12:40, and STILL NO DRINK. SIDE NOTE: unknown to Ms. "I'll ignore you at all costs" bartender, I'm a MONSTER tipper, like, 75-100%... ALWAYS... she was making a mistake... but, whatev's. Then I say, "listen, if you guys aren't capable of handling the bar, maybe you should hire a third bartender for the 45 people here"... she wasnt a fan... "get the f*#k out!!!" WHAT!??! No joke, the bouncer came, and escorted me out of the bar. Wow, REALLY?!?! Needless to say, between the lack luster service, the awful treatment, and undertones of racism, I won't be back, Jack. There are a dozen other places around town that will HAPPILY take a few hundred of my dollars from me with a smile. Well, that's all I have on that! P.S. The date didnt go well either... Guess I'm still stuck on Nina U. from Maryland. ;-)

What a great little Tucson gem! After being here for 5 years, I'm astonished I had never been here before. I think that's why I liked it so much! I have to say- I didn't have any of the food, but was present for one of their karaoke nights (they have more than one per week, or so I'm told). Their drinks are dirt cheap and they serve food pretty late. It's a fun atmosphere, if you're looking for something on the casual end of things.

Do not EVER.. Go.. To this place...on a Sunday.... IT'S AMAZING TO ME THAT PEOPLE STILL GO LET THEMSELVES BE TREATED LIKE THIS...DO YOU ALL HAVE LOW SELF ESTEEM?! First of all..14 signs telling you what you can or cannot do including standing sitting breathing the wrong way... then the GHETTO ass self proclaimed "manager" (who mind you was dragging a girl out full force in a full Nelson tonight for standing over the "invisible line of death" in front of the bar)...then if you survive to the bar Nelson free you have to deal with the two (there could easily be 4 but the tenders have to make sure they make $400 per) BIGGEST ----'s for bartenders in the world who will have you thrown out for sneezing or blinking.... Tucson... Get a 6 pack of high life and drink in an alley with street people... Guaranteed a better time. Here's the most amazIng part... I have been hearing about and having the same experience for.. Years.. And like zombies we all keep accidentally ending up here... I ALSO LOVE THE FACT THAT THE PREVIOUS REVIEWS ARE SO OBVIOUSLY MANUFACTURED BY PEOPLE ASSOCIATED WITH THE PLACE. To be honest I've never been there barring a Sunday... But it's reality tv amazing how bad it is. (btw Yelp makes you give at least one star)

This is another instance in which I wish that Yelp did half stars (pretty please, Yelp!!!). Anyways, I actually give this place three and a *half* stars. I came here on Saturday 12/19 for my best friend's birthday party. Now, I came all the way down here from Goodyear, so I was expecting this place to be awesome (okay, so I was really just excited to see her and hoping that the place turned out to be really cool). It was a little hard to find since Winter Haven was happening down the street (or so we were told as the reason to the horse drawn carriages everywhere and people walking around). There was a fire pit which my friend said was the sign we'd found the right place. Or in her words, "There's like..a fire pit outside. It doesn't look like it'd be the place, but it is." And she was right. The parking lot was small, so with all the cars in it we figured it'd be packed inside. It wasn't, but it was only about 8:15pm. The waitress who was already helping my friend and her boyfriend with drinks and food was very friendly. Even though we only wanted water (we'd eaten somewhere else and we aren't drinkers), she kept the refills coming and didn't keep pressing us to order a meal. More and more people kept coming, but she was still really good at making sure everyone was taken care of. Eventually, she suggested a bigger table since our party kept growing and we moved to another room entirely. There were games in there that are probably as old (or older!) as I am. It wasn't spectacular, but as my friend was just there to drink her birthday night away anyways, it didn't matter. They didn't seem to mind that the drunker a couple of the girls got, the louder they seemed. By this time, a large group of Santas and Santa Skanks came in from a theme party they were having. Another thing I noticed when we got here were that people kept coming in with kids. I saw about four or five of them and thought that was strange, but I didn't realize that this was a steakhouse also until friends ordered food. Then I had my, "Oh! Duh." moment. The drinks must have been cheap because my friend, the Birthday Girl, had several. And so did some of our "on a tight budget these days" friends. Would I come back? Sure, but only if I'm with a group. It's not somewhere I'd usually find myself out and about. Not to mention, it's two hours away from my house, haha. Anyways....3.5 stars.
