I should have taken picture when I got my made to order pizza, but it looked to good to wait and tasted even better. Single serving thin crust pizza with the toppings you want. I had buffalo chicken, traditional sauce, mushrooms, pineapple, multple cheeses, and roasted garlic for only $7.45. Food prepared quickly and HOT. Staff was friendly and helpful. I loved how when it got slow the team went about working on cleaning and restocking without a manager slinging orders to his staff in front of customers. Will be back, class act

Gluten-free people: THIS IS YOUR PLACE FOR PIZZA. (It costs $3 more, which is 100% worth it for the extra work they do.) If you have a gluten allergy they take an extraordinary amount of care to make sure your pizza is gluten-free. They change their gloves, use different utensils, and MOP OUT THE OVEN. YES, you read that correctly. They fire all the flour-filled crusts first and then mop out the oven so there is no flour left. It takes an extra minute or two but that is nothing compared to the care they take to create for you. Oh, and their pizza is delicious. The "create your own" style is so awesome because I can just throw anything I want on it and not worry about extra charges. One pizza will serve two people, even if it looks small and deceiving. You can also order ahead if you know what you want and it will take even less time, but I am in and out of here with my pizza in under 10 minutes. I am glad this is in my 'hood because I will definitely be stopping here frequently.

Wow, ouch ..... Scott the owner said to come in and he would make a pizza with a more solid crust. And I would know how to order in the future. I went in just a little before 8 pm. I told one of the kitchen staff that I was there to see Scott. I saw him tell Scott. I waited for almost 15 min .... Scott was making pizzas, then he cleaned his area, turned around to talk with staff, went over the kitchen to talk with diff staff .... So I walked out ....... extremely poor.

Not worth it. Pizza pictures are deceiving. It was soon small & flat. Where's the pizza in the pictures?

This place is super good! The atmosphere is nice, the music is good, the food is AHH MAZING! Of course it should be, your the executive chef!! It's all your own creation, you just tell them how you want it! I opted for the basic crust, Alfredo sauce, black and green olives, chicken, chorizo, roasted red peppers, sundried tomatoes, jalapeños, all dosed with a couple stripes of buffalo sauce! My mouth is watering just writing the review and I'm still sitting in the diner! Did I mention this place is locally owned?!!!!

Just moved here from Texas, the freshest salad I have had since I got here. Most definitely going to be my go to place. The staff are awesome and friendly and you can tell they love their jobs. The young lady with the red hair -bob cut( I wish I could remember her name) she is awesome! This was my second stop there and she remembered me. I will be coming back here again and again.

How did I live all these years without Pionic?! My coworker told me about this glorious pizza place after she went and thought it was something I might like. Oh, was she so right. I came here with several coworkers a couple Fridays ago for lunch and my pizza loving heart left ever so satisfied. For just $7, you can create the pizza of your dreams. But really, can you even put a price on that?! Start with your crust-regular or whole wheat, then pick your sauce, then get cheesy, and for the really fun part--veggies and meat! You can even get toppings put on after it's baked, like basil and arugula. If you're not a fan of pizza (how?!) there are salad and pasta options. My only regret is not thinking of the idea for Pionic myself!!

Here's another fun make-your-own pizza place. Offering pizza, salad, and pasta. Pionic, meaning unbeatable, is "an artisan style pizza baked to a crispy light, airy perfection in as little as 90 seconds." You order your own crust, pasta, sauce, cheese, meats, and veggies from the very friendly and happy staff. You can also get gluten free pizza and vegan cheese for a little extra. The restaurant is very casual with an opening garage door to the outside patio. I really enjoyed their pizza and all the choices you have to make it special.

This place is great. When u first have it I was not too impressed but it grows on you and it's my go to place now :). I can enjoy the entire pie and then some myself. I enjoy the crust and the ability to choose your own ingrediants. For vegan lovers they do offer daiya cheese which closely resembles mozzarella in my opinion. Great place

This was amazing! I went with two friends and we ordered one of each, pizza, pasta, and salad. We all loved everything we ordered, but each had our individual favorites. I have been craving that pasta again ever since I finished my very generous leftovers. Favorite pasta in Tucson so far!

Great pizza at a really good price (around $10 for an 11 inch pizza and a drink)! Good for casual dining and lunches, for sure. My pie ended taking longer than normal (I think they made a mistake on the first go), but the manager made sure to come find me at my table and explain the situation. Even so, my order was done in around 10 minutes. I definitely appreciated that gesture of hospitality. I'll be back, for sure - I'd like to try some other items on the menu!

Our first experience was outstanding. We shared a salad and pizza. It is great because you can choose all the toppings you want for one price. We were very pleased to be able to get whole wheat crust. The service was friendly and fast. The place was clean. We will be back soon!

I love coming here for Happy Hour - the pizzas are only $5 each, and you can add as many different sauces, cheeses, veggies, and meats as you'd like! I come here almost every week, and I've never been disappointed. The location is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious. Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 2PM-5PM, and you really can't beat the amazing price for the quality food.

This is going to be a great success. We had our free 12" "personal" pizza and soft drinks today for their Grand Opening. "Personal" in quotes because that is one big personal pizza. The pizzas are baked quick somehow in their special 800 degree oven. We got our pizzas within 5 minutes after ordering in spite of it being swamped. The pizzas are thin crispy crust style. For $7.45 you get unlimited toppings for pizza, pasta, or salad. I had a piled high pizza. My unlimited pizza was regular crust, red sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, sausage, artichokes, red peppers, olives, cherry tomatoes, extra mushrooms, red onion, and bell peppers. I ate it all. My crust remained crispy through the whole pie and didn't get soggy. It was really a tasty pizza and hit the spot. I highly recommend you go online and check their menu out. Then go and have a great pizza.

Love eating here! Always fresh, fast, and pretty good service. Sometimes they burn the pizza a little but not usually. Only thing that troubles me is that the employees don't wear hair nets. I've always worked in food and I don't really like that it seems quite easy for hair to get in your food.

This place is simply amazing! The pizza is fabulous and so are the salads. I love that you can put what ever you want on the pizza and it is one flat fee. Load your pizza, salad, or pasta up with anything you want and as much as you want! Pros: the ambiance is amazing, the staff is super friendly, I love the outside seating option, I get the wheat crusted pizza and you cant even tell it is different then from the all purpose flour crust, the bathrooms are even amazing! Cons: Jeez nothing I can think of at this time :)

Low quality pizza sauce. Tastes the same as Peter Piper Pizza. Very overstaffed with poor customer service. 3 of my friends and I went in. Because we were in a group they rang us all up together. However we wanted to pay seperately. The cashier had no idea how to change it and didn't even know who the manager was to ask. She tried to fix it for several minutes until she finally asked for help. The person she asked for help told her she had to ask the manager on duty. She said who is that. Well it was the guy standing two feet away who had to have seen and heard the whole thing, but did nothing for us or for her. Then when he finally was called over from 2 feet away, he was smug and kind of a jerk about it. The food isn't worth the hassle. Skip it and order a good pizza pie across the street from Upper Crust. Upper crust also does slices if everyone in your group wants something different. Upper crust pizza has excellent customer sevice. You don't have to order a whole pizza to each have something different.

Came here for Friday happy hour and the place was happening for 4:45p. The reason is likely because you can get an unlimited-toppings personal-sized pizza for $5 and a pint of beer (local craft brews!) for $3. It's an assembly line setup where you tell multiple people the type of crust you want, the type of sauce, veggies, and meats. I wanted ovoline mozzarella and the woman suggested I add some mozzarella so it melts nicely, and that was a nice touch of service. Then it comes out to you in (as advertised) as little as 90 seconds. The pizza itself is what I would consider a step above decent-quality frozen pizza. Not terrible, but not Brooklyn or Bianco standard. The high temp oven makes the thin crust very crispy, and the bottom even has a little charring, much like classic brick-oven style. One pie is enough for a single serving if you're hungry enough. If you took the rest home, you've made two meals for $2.50 each, which is a steal for pizza. The only cons would be the early happy hour going from 2-5p, and the outdoor seating facing a busy stretch of Campbell making it a noisy experience. Otherwise, a good concept if you're in the mood for a fast pizza fix. I'll be back for round two.

Last night, I tried their pasta- still wonderfully delicious and fresh. Stuffed my pasta with veggies and chicken, cooked a little longer than pizza but came out melty and delicious. Large portion, I only ate half and left some for lunch today. I fell in love with Pionic all over again.

I'll give it a meh -- the other reviewers noting this is like a Chipotle for pizza are 100 percent correct. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the new place very clean and well set up. I just wasn't really blown away by the food. That's not to say it wasn't good, but maybe there's something to be said about recommended combinations. When left to my own devices, I'm pretty boring. I will say the price is right and it's pretty darn fast -- so I won't put this place up against Bianco or Falora, but it's good for what it is.

The pizza was fantastic. We loved being able to pick unlimited toppings. Plus they have gluten free options and if its allergy based, they'll wipe the oven and change gloves. We will definitely come back. Happy Hour is 2 - 5 I think. $5 pizzas with unlimited toppings!!!

Flat tasteless pizza if u don't expect much this place it may fit your bill? For some reason no matter how many ingredients u add the flavors don't pop? My guess at 7.45 a pizza they had to cut down on quality and it shows. Sorry to say much rather go to Grimalldi's, Pizzeria Bianco or Piology

I love this place. Lots of fresh ingredients, good pizza, and all made in about 3 minutes. Great place to go when you're hungry and don't want to wait 30 mins to chow down.

I am officially obsessed. Like halfway through the first slice I started planning my week around having lunch here! Let me start at the beginning.. C and I were originally thinking of thai, but I looked on Yelp and got reallllllly curious about this place. Vegan pizza with unlimited toppings less than 2 minutes for under $7.50? Sounds like a myth. We might as well hunt unicorns for dinner. We walk in. It looks efficient. Up at the counter we are briefed on the concept. Pick a method (pizza, pasta, salad) pick what goes on it, have them make it then you are on your way. I hate to make the all too common comparison, but think Chipotle's steps of ordering. I get a whole wheat pie, half red sauce and half pesto (which is vegan!!) Then carmelized onion, sun dried tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, roasted red peppers and basil after it is cooked. C ordered traditional crust, red sauce, cheese, sausage, mushroom, pepperoni and black olives. By the time we paid and ordered our beers our pizzas were up. Magic! The staff was hilarious. Like I wanted to chat more with them there must be something in the water to make them all so friendly. The pizzas was incredible! Crisp and delicious! I think their oven has magic! We officially have a new fav pizza joint!

Pretty good pizza! And a good price too. You can make your own, which is really fun! The customer service is good and the restaurant is clean and comfortable. There's plenty of parking, which is important. Overall a pretty nice, casual place to eat with friendly service (very important!).

This place is so good. Every time we come here the pizza is the best. You get to build your own, the ingredients are fresh and the staff is very friendly and the place is clean. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Awesome food and incredible prices! I have had the pizza and the pasta here. Love that I can select how much and of what and not get charged extra! Very friendly staff and the place is always clean. If you haven't been here yet, get there!

The value of this place is the real standout here. I wasn't expecting the assembly-style set up when we stopped by (the layout and design looks a lot like a Chipotle. But pizza), but the staff was happy to orient us with how the game works and direct us to their pre-selected combinations if we didn't feel like choosing on our own. Um, I like being able to go a little crazy, thanks. Unlimited combos? Say hello to a new masterpiece, Pionic. Green chiles, pesto, caramelized onions, pineapple, feta cheese, and roasted red peppers later I was happily chowing on a whole wheat crust that was thin and crispy and melted together with mozzarella. It didn't take long to bake and they bring it right out. One pizza is totally enough for one - I had quite a bit of it to take home, and they do have smaller boxes for portions of pies. On the night we went we even got serenaded by some carolers who just happened through. It's not a cozy feeling place, per se, but it's good stuff at a great price. Different crust thicknesses would be a killer addition.

Calling this place Chipotle, or even worse, Subway is in insult. Sure, it's quick-casual and you walk down a line and choose your own ingredients, but the ingredients are SO fresh. It's only $7.45 for a pizza with UNLIMITED toppings. They also offer gluten free pizza and vegan cheese. As a vegan, I was assured that the crust contained no dairy or eggs and my pizza was delicious even cheese-less. Did I mention they were quick and friendly? This place is awesome.

I've been here a couple of times and the food is great and the staff is always helpful and friendly. I've been to a couple "Make your own" pizza places in town and Pionic has the best selection, flavor and staff around. Thank you

We've eaten here a couple times as it is close to our office and it is a quick place to get lunch. We enjoy the fresh ingredients, the choice of crusts and they offer vegan cheese although that is extra $. An individual pizza is enough for one person as the crust is thin. My only complaint - don't charge extra for vegan cheese, offer a vegan meat and have fresh jalapenos rather than canned. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is clean.

Let's not do Pionic the disservice of comparing it to Subway or Chipotle, because at those joints you're often sparring with the sandwich/burrito artists about the amount of ingredients: At subway: "Yeah, I ordered a veggie sandwich, can I get some more green peppers and jalapenos?" SA: "Sorry, we can give you exactly 6 pepper pieces and 4 jalapenos." At chipotle: "Can I have more guacamole, since I ordered a veggie burrito?" BA: "That'll be an additional 50% of your paycheck, is that okay?" At Pionic, I payed just about the same amount for a $5 11-inch-long and a chipotle burrito but got however much (vegan) cheese, sauce, and mushrooms as I wanted. And it was delicious. Crispy, thin crust and baked perfectly. No bubbles. Yay! I'm a fan. Yes, you can have fast pizza and slow taste at the same time. And yes, you can go with someone else for pizza without having to compromise your well-developed pizza taste and without having to buy an additional $10 pizza. Don't want to cook? Have those pesky, hard to please in-laws in town? Stopping by Plaza Liquor for your favorite microbrew? Riding the 15 north after class/work? Pionic. Context: I'd put Pionic at the top of the "Face Mashing" category of Tucson pizza with Magpie's, Brooklyn, Empire, No Anchovies, 1702, and Upper Crust. These are places, unique in their own experience, where'd you go to shovel pizza into your face as fast as possible. Alcohol usually rounds the experience, but the food is nonetheless excellent.

Awesome food at an amazing value. I had a personal pizza with 9 toppings and a beer for $8!! They make the pizza in front of you like a Subway sandwich shop, then pop it in the oven for like 2 minutes and it's done!! Super clean, great customer service. All ingredients are fresh!! This place rocks!!

I went to this place with a group of people expecting it to be another Tucson pizza place I won't go back to. The parking was great. They had three huge wheelchair spots which is not the norm. At least one had an access aisle on both sides another huge plus. Inside, even though you have to go to the counter to order, was fairly roomy. I do not like going to a counter to order, but it wasn't horrible. The staff was really friendly. I went to the counter and ordered a pizza. Yes, I am a smart butt. I got a traditional pizza. They have a choice of wheat and gluten free as well. You can get whatever toppings you want all for the same price. They put stuff on your pizza as you are at the see through glass. There are lots of topping choices. I am a plain cheese pizza person, so I got double sauce, mozzarella cheese and I decided to have mushrooms. Look at me being adventurous. Is this NY pizza no, but it was yum and I totally enjoyed it. I definitely can't navigate this place without an able bodied helper, but over all a great experience. I think the floor people could have been a little more helpful as we were a bunch of people in chairs. My friend carried stuff as all know I will drop everything. We needed, grated cheese, pepper flakes and other condiments. One of my friends needed her pizza cut into bite size pieces. The man took it to use the pizza cutter and just sliced it up more. He tried but didn't understand that she really needed it bit size which is easy to do with a pizza cutter. The pizza was a extra thin crust just like the other place I had reviewed, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, you guessed it, I will go back. I may even try different toppings whoohoo. I only got one topping so my pizza was even cheaper then what the menu says. It seems you can get cheese and one other thing and still be charged as just a cheese pizza. With the regular price you can get whatever and as much as you want. I did like watching and picking out how my pizza was made. I didn't think there was enough sauce which is why I asked for more. This place is a huge win in my book. If it was a full service place as far as help in the dinning area, it would have gotten five stars from me. This place is a must go.

My new favorite pizza place! Pionic Pizza has got the right stuff! Pionic has an interesting concept that I haven't seen before in the world of pizza. Think Chipotle but in the land of pizza. You design your own pie (pick your crust and sauce) for $7.45 with unlimited toppings. Great toppings to choose from, such as artichokes, green chiles, fresh jalapenos, capers and caramelized onions. If you are not in the mood to build your own, there are seven Pionic Inspirations. They are unique pizzas, such as Hot Wing and Skipping Breakfast. Pionic also serves pasta and salads. The boneless Mac & Cheese will be on my must try list. Super cool vibe going on at this new establishment!

I'll start by saying I've been here three times since they opened. The first day was when unveiled themselves to the public. Aprox a 2 hour wait #.# HOWEVER it was totally worth it! The place is not overly decorated nor is it dark lile some pizza places I've been too. Staff is super friendly and efficient. I've had three items on the menu so far. A custom Pizza with plenty of red sauce, sausage, pepperoni, onions and two kinds of cheese. Delicious. I've had their chicken wing pizza and also their bbq. The wing pizza was not overly spicy and had that proper "hot wing" taste. The bbq was sweet but not to the point of beinh straight up sugary. The crust on all three was a thing of beauty. I'll have to give the desserts a try next time becaise they sound amazing!

Okay, this sounds totally crazy for a place explained to me as "subway for pizza," but Pionic pizza is in the upper echelon in Tucson. With fresh baking and decent ingredients, I guess I should not have been surprised that the final quality of the pizza would be pretty darn good. In a nutshell, much like the aforementioned sandwich shop, you select ingredients and the pizza is made before your eyes. For instance, you start by asking for a wheat or white pizza crust. Then you add your choice from multiple sauces and multiple cheeses and toppings. The amount of combinations are mind-boggling. On a recent trip, we tried both the pizza and the pasta. Probably the best thing about the pizza dough is how thin it is. It is cooked properly in a very hot oven and so it develops that crunchy yet bubbly texture that I crave. Then you add the sauce. The tomato sauce is actually fairly tasty and they give you as much or as little as you want. The same thing goes for a variety of cheeses. One outstanding item of note, is that you can get both the traditional pizza mozzarella as well as a fresh made mozzarella. If you have never had a pizza made with fresh mozzarella, this is an easy way to give it a try! The toppings are decent enough, but they aren't the highest quality. They are certainly not the lowest quality, however, and for the price you really can't complain. Also here you are allowed to add as much or as little of the toppings as you want. I tend to be a big garlic lover, so I add roasted garlic and chopped garlic. On a recent trip, we built a delicious combination of olive oil, Gorgonzola, fresh mozzarella, and roasted garlic. If you have no idea what you want to make, give that a try. Of course, you can also choose from several recipes posted on their menu. You can also build salad and pasta in the same way as the pizza. On a recent trip, I built a baked pasta dish that was quite excellent. Tucson is not known for great Italian food, and so sadly I must report that Pionic is actually one of the better pasta places in town. The pasta was properly toothsome and the combination of ingredients was delicious. Definitely give it a try if you're not in the mood for pizza. What really tips the scale for a five star review is the friendly and attentive nature of the staff. They will walk you through the entire process and make you feel like you are an important customer. And the prices are more than fair! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and inexpensive meal.

Great pizza, prices, and a really wide variety of options to top your meals with. I haven't tried the pasta or salad, but the whole wheat pizza crust is really good - you can't even tell it's a "healthier" version! The happy hour pizza and drink prices are really good. I took my dog with me and ate out on the patio.

This is my favorite go-to restaurant when I am in the mood for something quick and easy! The service is great! And the food is SO good! I feel like it is a great environment because the restaurant it's self is clean and organized. If you are looking for a place to take the family or friends on a low budget night out (or lunch) this is the place for you! Fresh veggies and meat to go on your salad or pizza, amazing thin crust and delicious Alfredo, Marinara, or pesto sauce! I Love Pionic!

After driving past this building under construction for months, and then reading some of its amazing Yelp reviews after it opened, I have been eager to try Pionic Pizza. And they exceeded all my expectations. Fast pizza, AMAZING selection, and VERY friendly employees. The first thing I noticed was that there are only a few pizzas on their menu, but both those and their build-your-own are at a flat price that is unexpectedly low. Any set of toppings, unlimited, for the same price. (It's cheaper if you get only sauce and cheese, or only 1 topping, but the rest is an amazing flat rate). They have the same offer for pastas and sandwiches. The order counter is one long sneeze-guard where you tell the guy what you want on your pizza. I commented that it reminds me of a Subway, and the guy behind the counter said "Yeah, but at Subway you only get a sandwich." Good point, pizza man. Good point. The pizzas are quick to make. They claim it bakes in just 2 minutes, and it took slightly longer than this to get our pizzas, but nowhere near the sort of wait you'd expect to get a pizza. The service was amazingly fast at lunch time on a Friday. Service was fast and I counted at least 10 employees. There were probably some more in the back doing ingredient prep, dishes, or managing. I love when a new business brings in a bunch of jobs like this. They had all the staff they needed to provide a great experience, which is a nice change after the recent recession had led to many understaffed restaurants for years. Oh! And I should mention that the pizza was delicious. I ordered the "Hot Chicken Wing" pizza off the menu and thought it was amazing. Next time I'll try the build-your-own. I only wish Pionic Pizza was closer to my house on the Eastside. Best features: friendly staff, huge topping selection, speedy service, flat-rate pricing Worst features: not located on the Eastside It's pretty rare for a restaurant to exceed my expectations by so much. Sometimes I wish Yelp had a 6th star.

As others mention it's Chipotle meets Subway only with pizza crust and a really, really hot oven that they claim will cook your pizza in 2 minutes. Maybe so, but like Paul C., we had to wait a little longer for our pizza than that... but not much. While we watched them making our pizzas scooping out ingredients using utensils that ensure proper measure, here were my two thoughts: 1. That's not nearly enough sauce. 2. That cheese is never going to melt in 2 minutes. Our pizzas were delivered to our table piping hot. My sauce and cheese concerns were unfounded. The sauce was perfect. The cheese was surprisingly gooey/stretchy and the crust was thin, crispy and held up well all the way through me turning it in an empty pizza pan. My hot wing pizza boasted red sauce, mozzarella, buffalo chicken, red onion, gorgonzola and jalapeños, which I had substituted for green peppers. My wife had the Hot Hot Hawaiian with ham and pineapple. She took the Hot Hot out of it by deleting the jalapeños. Both pizzas were really tasty. They are slightly larger than the personal pizzas you'll get other places and, if you choose their creations or do the create-your-own method and let your inner pizza wizard run wild, you won't pay more than $7.45. Fast, convenient, cheap and tasty... I'm with Brad H. on this one. I can see this place doing really well... even expanding. Hopefully to someplace near me.

It's like having your own pizzeria. Any pizza with two or more toppings is only $7.45. It doesn't matter if you want three toppings or 50. Same price! Cheese and one toppings are even cheaper. You can also get a create your own salad or pasta for the same price and from 2-5pm Mon-Fri they have happy hour for only $5 for the pizza. Today was my first time there so I got a little crazy. I got a half-n half pizza because I couldn't make up my mind what I wanted. Side 1-Red sauce, shredded mozzarella, fresh mozzarella, and parmesan cheese with pepperoni, bacon, sausage and fresh basil. Side 2-pesto sauce, both types of mozzarella, Parmesan and feta cheese with chicken, roasted garlic, mushrooms, sundried tomatoes and diced potatoes (yes, you read right. Potatoes) all for $5 plus .50 for the to go box. The pizza is 11" with a crispy thin crust and while it's not the best pizza I've ever eaten, it's hella good for $5! Even for $7.45 it's pretty damn good. The staff that helped me create my masterpiece was incredibly nice and friendly and more than patient and willing to help when I kept giving them "just one more topping". I'll definitely be back! I just wished they had one closer to my NW side of town

Talk about instant gratification! So far I've been here 3 times, and each time the pizza arrived in the time that it took to fill my drink and pick a table! It is that fast! It also provides ultimate customization ala subway style. On my first visit, I put allot of thought into my topping selections. In the end it turned out that I basically re-created the Elysian Fields pizza option (which is delicious). Now, I typically just go with that menu option. I love the cheese selection (shredded and sliced mozzarella, ricotta, Gorgonzola, etc) it does make a gourmet style fast casual pizza all the more compelling. The selection of vegetables meats are also extensive enough to please any picky disagreeable group (e.g. Mia Familia). Any place that can please a diverse group gets extra bonus points in my book.

I love this place. It's like a chipotle for pizza. I love their hot Hawaiian style pizza. This is a nice place to take your family friends. I brought my mom here when she came into town and she loved it.

We were so excited to see Pionic open after seeing it being built ( we live in the neighborhood). So we came in on a Sunday and to our surprise, we were their first paying customers! (after a free day where the line went around the block!) we had the skipping breakfast pizza and buffalo chicken salad. The ingredients were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly executed. The breakfast pizza is creative, edgy, and spicy (there was an egg on top!). The buffalo salad is unique and delicious (capers, gorgonzola cheese, buffalo chicken, red onion). The staff was friendly, smiling and efficient. Would like to have a slightly thicker crust option to support the weight of the ingredients. We hope they continue to push the envelope with the signature pizzas (maybe do a crazy spicy pizza? Maybe hot enough for a food challenge? Just a thought!) Pionic is sure to be the next big pizza/pasta place in Tucson (watch out sauce!) well definitely be back.

I was skeptical. What hasn't been done with pizza? Tried it anyway and was very, very pleasantly surprised. Ordering was easy, staff were all very friendly and pizza arrived about three minutes after we sat down and was steaming hot. Best of all, it tasted great. It's a thin crust- New York style. A tiny bit of charred crust on the bottom, but that adds flavor. A definite "will return."

Love pizza places like this, where it's one price for all the toppings. The location is great, right near my house, which is also dangerous for my diet, haha! The ingredients, crust, and sauce all tasted fresh. The resturant was clean and the staff was friendly. WILL be going back.

Recently stopped by during a weekend trip to Tucson because a fraternity brother recommended it and I was blown away. They take the whole make-your-own-pizza to the next level here! Modestly priced for an large-ish personal pizza with unlimited toppings. I can't remember which pizza I got, but it was breakfast-themed with fresh jalapenos, chorizo, and a fried egg on top. I don't know what witchcraft created this monster, but it was the best pizza that I have ever had in my life. I even got to chat it up with the owner and met his wife before they closed. Two thumbs up!

I did a phone repair for a employee here and just loved the environment and smelled amazing. The young lady set me up with a pizza and what options I would like and loved it! Plus! They had Sriracha!! Bam!

  • Myles T.

Somewhat flavorless. It's like a synthetic pizza. Despite all the options and seemingly fresh ingredients, there just isn't that much flavor going on here. Also, the personal pizza concept is kind of antisocial. Part of the fin of pizza is the communal meal, family style aspect of a shared pie.

  • Josh W.

Think chipotle but for pizzas. You can order some existing pizza combos (like BBQ chicken, etc...) and customize with any of the ingredients or you can build your own from scratch. I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza with adding fresh mozzarella, bacon, artichoke hearts, and sausage. Pizzas are big enough to fill up this big guy. Wife and kids had left overs. My wife ordered the fields of asliyum which was really good. My picky eater 4 year old son ordered a plain old cheese pizza. We also wanted to try the boneless Mac and cheese, which was also very good. Had plenty of left overs to enjoy the next day. Very family friendly, speedy and very friendly service. If we lived in the area we would certainly be coming back and join the loyalty program they have.

This place is great and very reasonably priced I made a delicious pasta and my hubby had a pizza we shared and we still had left overs. Super yummy. And the kids shared a cheese pizza for 4.95 how can you beat that? All of us more then full for under 25 bucks yea buddy! We will return!!

Super fast and friendly staff! Portions are great here! Everything seems fresh. Pizza is always delicious because it's basically your own creation. The SALADS are just so fresh! I love the make your own style and for a salad that size and that many toppings, the price is so reasonable and worth it! Such a good fast food but not rushed environment. You're able to spend little time in there but with great service!

  • Andrea J.

What a great concept and flavor! I ate here w/ my adult daughter & her boyfriend, and we all loved our own pies! We all joked that they were PERFECT because we were the chefs! You choose from unlimited toppings, then sit in a wide open seating area that opens onto a patio. We found it to be fun, tasty, and affordable. We signed up for the rewards, because we'll definitely be back!

This place is fantastic! The chipotle method applied to pizzas is honestly my new favorite thing. This place is a build your own pizza, pasta or salad place and the toppings are UNLIMITED... Yes, unlimited! My first time here was a little overwhelming, so I recommend taking a step back and thinking through the options before walking up to the counter. Even though I didn't plan my pizza out, I still was pretty proud of my creation. The gal behind the counter was patient with me as I contemplated he many many toppings, ham, broccoli, corn, buffalo chicken, bbq sauce and sooo much more. One little nugget I picked up was they have fresh basil and arugula available but its not on the line, you have to ask for it, and its well worth the ask! And if you have read any of my other reviews on pizza, you know when i say arugula, I say...yes please! After getting all the toppings and sitting down, the pizza was out before I knew it, how did they bake it so fast? It looked great and tasted ok too. It's no reilleys or bianco but you know that going in. Its fast food pizza thats way better then those chain restaurants we need not mention. I will be back frequently!

Just had Pionic for the first time and I'm obsessed. It's basically like chipotle but for pizza. You can pick whether you want a pizza, salad, or pasta dish. The toppings are unlimited, and it's 7.50 a pizza/pasta. They have ton of delicious toppings like fresh garlic and Italian sausage and even things like eggs. The pizza was amazing, and was made really quick. Customer service was also great.

  • Tina G.

This place is like a Chipotle, but for pizzas and pastas! (I'm sure they get that a lot. However, I can see this place creating their own identity very soon!) I haven't ordered much of their pizzas, but I'm absolutely in love with creating my own pastas! I'm very picky with my pastas and this place gives me the freedom to create my "perfect pasta"! Penne pasta with two scoops of Alfredo sauce, broccoli, raw garlic, a little bit of Parmesan cheese, hotwing chicken, and lots of sundried tomatoes!

Not sure what's happening with my fellow Tucsonans rating this place so highly. BROADEN YOUR PIZZA HORIZONS or have your tastebuds checked... For the people rating 5 stars then saying things like "it gets the job done" regarding your pizza craving...simply being edible doesn't warrant 5 stars. That being said I'm not above grabbing pizza in a pinch, $5 hot and ready anyone? But again, not going around rating them 4 or 5 stars. The inside is clean, spacious, counter where you order and where pizza is made is very Subway-esque. I don't like Subway, it grosses me out. The concept of being able to put whatever I liked on my pizza intrigued me. That combined with the positive yelp reviews and pictures depicting what looked like delicious brick oven style pizzas drew me in. Those pictures are good angles. Have you ever been to Peter Piper Pizza? Yeah, this is that pizza. Don't get me wrong, Peter Piper Pizza is not half bad. But 5 stars? Not so much. First off, they spray the pizza dough with something that looks like pam and then flatten it in a tortilla press. What? My dining partner who spent his younger years working in places and LOVES, I repeat LOVES, pizza, saw that and just about walked out. The kid performing this skillful action didn't seem to be banging them out in record time or anything so what is the point of that? When they asked what crust we would like (wheat or traditional), he made sure to ask for the traditional that was just placed on the pizza dough holder rack thing, so it wouldn't be dried out. The next steps are straight outta Chipotle/Subway territory with sauces, cheese, etc. We got regular sauce, mozz, pepperoni. Kept it simple so we could really get Pionic's pizza essence. We also ordered the Buffalo Chicken salad. The salad came out pretty much as soon as we sat down, dressing on the side. Not sure if it was ranch or blue cheese dressing, but it was straight up gelatinous in it's little cup and a pinky dip sample pegged it as low quality, cheap. I poured it over the salad and dug in. It was alright. Not something I'm going to crave or probably ever order again, but edible. Edible seems to be Pionic's calling card. The pizza came out a minute or two later. The swiftness seems to render the pizza sort of soggy. The bottom of the pizza was crisped just fine, but the sauce/cheese/pepperoni combination was sort of wet. I happen to live for when a pepperoni or two gets sort of crispy and chip-like on a pizza, there's zero chance of that happening with whatever method they're using, I assure you. A pet peeve of mine is when a pizza can't hold itself together. You pick up a slice and everything comes sliding off. We had one cheese and one topping and this happened with every piece, even after cooling off. I'm not sure what causes this (didn't happen to ask my pizza connoisseur partner if he happened to know) but if people are loading up the toppings onto their build their own pizza, it's no doubt becoming a fork operation. I can see the appeal of this place I guess, it's cheap, slightly more variety than some pizzerias in terms of sauce/toppings. But that's about it. There are better pizzas for cheaper, and there are better pizzas period within walking distance of this place. Is it just that it's quick that makes people rate this place so highly? I'd rather wait 15 minutes on a pizza joint's plastic chair than have the pizza I had tonight in 5 seconds...but maybe that's just me? Service was fine, teenage robots. Again, Subway-esque.

I'm giving Pionic a three star review based on their service (friendly, fast), their facilities (large, clean), and the overall concept of the place. Pionic would be a great place to bring the family who all want something different on their pizza. Set up kind of like a Subway, your individual pizza is pushed down an assembly line while you select exactly what crust, sauce, cheese and toppings you want. I think the whole setup is a great idea. Unfortunately, the food is crap. The pizza is maybe one step above Digiorno's frozen pizza. Maybe. While we didn't try the pasta or salad, they didn't look like they were much of an improvement on the pizza. We also tried a banana pie dessert that the cashier assured us was "awesome". It was the most disgusting thing i've ever eaten. Tasted like slightly sweetened Crisco with chocolate chips mixed in. If you have picky kids to feed, this might be your kind of restaurant. If you want good pizza to eat, try Rocco's, Pizzeria Bianco or Grimaldi's.

The pizza crust is thin and crispy, like a cracker! Perfectly yummy! And the pizza sauce is totally lick your fingers worthy! Priced just right for anyone and definetly worthy of many more visits by me and my kids!

Great stop for a quick and tasty pie. Pick your crust, sauce, cheese, and toppings - grab a seat and be ready to chow in 5-10 minutes. Don't skip this one!

Excellent place to get a pizza designed your own way for a reasonable price! My boyfriend and I have been going here since it opened. Service and quality have improved since their opening. We had some problems with slow service and incorrect orders in their beginning, but it seems like Pionic has found their groove and is running smoothly whenever we go in. I especially love online ordering. It makes it so easy to save complicated orders (with unlimited toppings things can get complicated) and input the order in time to pick up dinner on the way home from somewhere. The online ordering system has also improved a lot since they opened. Pionic has definitely become our favorite pizza place!

I should preface this review with the fact that I eat A LOT of pizza. In fact, it is my favorite thing to eat and I've probably consumed enough in my short life for nine normal humans. That's not based on any actual statistical analysis, but I bet it's pretty close. I got to try Pionic twice in the last week and it's been stellar each time. It is a fast-casual pizza joint with plenty of options to choose from. They've got original, wheat, and even gluten-free (for an extra $2) crusts; five different sauces; six different cheeses; and loads of toppings.Or if you'd like, you can pick up a simple cheese pizza at $4.95 or a one topping for $5.95. You won't find a better pizza in town at that price. You pick what you want, they toss it in the oven for two minutes, and you have a custom pie with just the right amount of crisp. Also, I haven't seen any mention of the sauce in the previous reviews but it compliments everything perfectly... Tons of flavor but not overpowering, nor does it saturate the crust.

Terrible service. I went in last week with my girlfriend. Never been there before. we ordered two pizzas for "eat in." Upon ordering my pizza the lady behind the counter misheard me and assumed I tried to order a vegan pizza and then scoffed at me. She then said "what are you, like vegan or something" adding a nasty expression to her face. Then, we finally finished our order and sat down. My girlfriend's pizza came out right away. upon waiting for mine for 10 minutes I attempted to stop the food runner by yelling "excuse me please!" To which he turned and looked at me, I added a hand gesture with the receipt, and then he quickly turned away and never made eye contact again. I decided to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt and waited 10 more minutes but to no avail, no pizza. I walked up to the cashier with the receipt and told him we had gotten one pizza right away and had been waiting on the other pizza for over 20 minutes. without apologizing or even saying a single word he reaches behind the counter to hand me a pizza box marked "Jefrey." And then tries to hand me a free dessert, need I remind you he still had not apologized. I politely declined and grabbed the box. Sure enough it was the correct pizza, but why was it in a box while my friends was brought to us on a tray. Furthermore, why was it marked "Jefrey?" The name on the order is clearly marked "Mike" as that how it was marked on the receipt and the wax paper for both pizzas. And who is "Jefrey" and why do they spell their name incorrectly? Again, terrible service for a first time customer from 3 different workers; A scoffing anti-vegan, a food-runner who would rather quickly jolt his head and run from the customer than help them, and a non-apologetic manager/cashier who likes to dish out free desserts but can't say the words "I'm sorry."

Make your own pizza, pasta and/or salad. They say "you're the executive chef, using our fresh ingredients". The place was clean and organized and everyone seemed to know what they were doing. We're vegan and had heard that they were veg-friendly. Boy were they! They have 18 different vegetables and even have vegan cheese. It was a great treat.

This place is phenomenal! The pizza is excellent and totally affordable. The crust is thin and crunchy, there are several tasty sauce options, and the toppings are fresh and varied. The staff are friendly and happy. The service is so quick, we'd barely sat down when our pizza arrived. I haven't tried the pasta or salad yet, but they look awesome also!

  • Michelle R.

I gave Pionic 5 stars because it makes me happy to eat here. It's a local family business, the prices are amazing for what you get, they are conscious about food allergy/diet restrictions (without making you feel like a hinderance), and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The pizza may not be a 5 star pizza by itself but the "Whole" package at Pionic certainly warrants it. I always have left overs, for an extra meal the next day.

  • Mia F.

The pizza here was really great. The crust is thin and they even have Vegan cheese. There are numerous sauces and so many and toppings to choose from.

    (4)
  • Connor O.

The overall experience here was good. The service was quick and the pizza is literally whatever you make it to be. You can choose one of their styles of pizza and add toppings to it, or you can start from scratch and choose whatever you want--from the type of crust, to the type of sauce, and all the toppings you want. I've tried another place like this one--where you get to personalize your own pizza, so I ordered what I normally get from there to compare the pizza. Initially I was disappointed because they didn't have spinach, they only had a salad like lettuce. Although they didn't have this, they still had a lot of choices for their toppings. In the end, the taste of the pizza was decent, but it reminded me too much of Peter Piper's Pizza. The idea is unique--unique enough that it will do pretty well since it's the first of its kind in Tucson. Just not a unique enough taste for me.

Amazing pizza, amazing service, amazing environment, I LOVED this place! The owner was walking around talking to people, taking her time to see if there was anything we needed. You make your own pizza, it's affordable, it FAST. Loved it! Highly recommended!

Sorry to say, I really wanted to like this place, but it was pretty bad. The concept is excellent. You go in, create your own pizza, and then take it with you or eat it there. The staff was young, helpful, and very sincere. There is every kind of pizza topping you could possibly imagine. Unfortunately, the finished product just doesn't make it. I ordered two pizzas to take to some friends and we ended up not eating them. The sauce was way too sweet (one was with the regular pizza sauce and one with the spicy sauce ) and the crusts were way under done and soggy. It's sad to say that I've had better pizza at a Pizza Hut lunch buffet. I am willing to give them another shot, but it's going to take a while.

This place sucks!!! I went in with a Livingsocial voucher and, got to the end of the line and they wouldnt even honor it. They told me they were not accepting Livingsocial vouchers anymore. What??? So then I pay out of my pocket for the pizzas and they suck. All they do that is amazing is make a pizza in a few minutes but, they taste horrible. Will not return ever! You want great pizza with a little wait, there are soooo many better choices out there. Mamas Pizza, Renes Organic Oven, Magpies, Tonys, need I go on...you get the point.

  • Chris K.

This is the best build your own pizza place in Tucson. They have the most choices for toppings and cheese. The pizza cooks super fast by the time you sit down and get comfy your pizza has arrived. The oven is a true pizza oven and not conveyer belt oven. For under $8 a pizza you can't go wrong

  • Gilbert T.

So nice to have a place like this open up in Tucson. The restaurant is nice and very clean which is a huge plus. The pizza is very good and I like how you get to see it being created. It's almost like the subway of pizza places. Definitely check this place out!!

Wow what a cool concept for pizza and pasta: fresh ingredients that you pick out as they top your pizza and it's ready very quickly.. I had wheat crust pizza with mozzarella, sausage and red onion. The pasta was delicious as the bacon made it soooo good!

  • Daniel L.

These guys are amazing. Great service, unlimited toppings, crispy and delicious pizza. The best part for me is the gluten free option. When I became allergic to wheat 8 years ago, I missed pizza the most. Pionic has rekindled my long lost love, and I officially feel like a proper American again :)

    (5)
  • Brett A.

Exceeded my expectations; delicious pizza at a very affordable price. It's 7.50 to create your pizza with unlimited toppings. The pizza could be shared if you arent too hungry. The ingredients looked fresh and they had quite a few options. The service was extremely quick and friendly. I love that thin crust. .. I'll be back

Really really really good pizza for the price its literally 5 dollars for a pizza it looks small at first its like 10" i think but for the price and flavor its good the service is also really good they have a wide variety of topping and they make the pizza in front of you

  • Devon M.

The food is great and it is a cool ambiance. Definitely a go-to for to-go. Biggest complaint is a few off-putting members of the staff. More specifically, the manager is very intimidating and creates a slightly discomforting dining experience. The younger staff are always cheery and welcoming! Overall, though (as long as you avoid some of the older staff), it is two thumbs way way up.

I was so happy to find a place where my omnivore friends and I can go and I can have vegan food that isn't just beans and rice, or a lettuce-only salad. The staff is friendly, the toppings are varied and delicious, and the pizza is outstanding - at a reasonable price. We will definitely be back!

Fast food meets delicious pizza concept. The Chiptole comparison has already been made several times. Friday afternoon, line was very long. Gave us time to figure out what we were doing, and it went by in record speed. List of options is very extensive. My daughter was disappointed they only served thin crust, but was NOT disappointed in the actual pizza. Sauce, toppings, and service all impeccable. Very clean. Just be aware that although thin crust, next mornings leftovers were very soggy, for some reason. Reccomend trying their Happy Hour, $5.00 pizzas 2-5 M-F.

  • Francy L.

The pizza is so delicious! I love all the options they have and how fast the pizza is done, in only 2 to 3 minutes! I just can't believe how fast I had my pizza! And it was the yummiest pizza ever! The staff is so nice too and energetic. I love that they have gluten free dough and vegan cheese. They also have the best whole wheat dough I've ever had! It's my favorite crust. I also enjoyed their variety of cheeses and their great quality. All of their produce look very fresh too. The restaurant in general looks super clean and neat, they do a great job making sure everything looks great at all times. I really appreciate that the employees are very careful of not using the same gloves for meat and for vegetarian pizzas, which is a consideration that not many restaurants have. I am very happy that this restaurant opened in town; it's convenient, quick, delicious and very affordable. Another thing I really like was that they have pasta and salads too, which is nice if you are coming with a group of people and not everyone wants pizza. Their pasta and salad portions are perfect, I was completely satisfied when I had the salad, specially with that bread bowl that you can add for only 1$ extra. All of their items are $7.45 except for the cheese pizza, which is only $4.95, and the extra $2 you pay if you choose to have gluten free or vegan cheese. So delicious! Great job PIONIC!

I love pizza so always have to check out a new place. The pizza was pretty good. Not the best in town but not the worst either. The concept is kind of like Subway for pizza. You go through the line and pick as many toppings as you want. The problem is they tend to put very little of the topping on the pizza and I had to keep asking them to add more. Made me feel a little bad. They do have a happy hour special from 2 to 5. The resturant was a little dirty when we were there. Everyone was super friendly except for one older lady that rubbed everyone in my group the wrong way. The service is super fast and the pizza was out in just a couple of minutes.

Grade A shit hole. Seriously terrible, ate with two others and they burned one pizza and added peas for no reason, then mine was soggy and undercooked.. Riddle me that... This place is not the "Chipotle of pizza" it is the Hometown Buffet of pizza.

What a great concept!! First and only Pionic in Tucson so far. I believe this might just be a new trend in Pizza dining. I consider myself a purist when it comes to Pizza. A New Yorker knows what good pizza really is. This said, the long wait for a pizza does not necessary make a good pie. Found this out with this newer way to cook pizza in an extremely high temperature oven. This pizza literally comes out in 2 minutes. The fun part is you can choose from a huge variety of toppings, from crust, to sauce, veggies, artichokes, green chile, broccoli, spinach, caramelized onions, sun dried tomatoes, roasted garlic, raw garlic, bacon, salami, ham, chicken, Italian sausage, chorizo. You pick your sauce from pasta sauce, pesto, bbq, hot wing, olive oil, Alfredo. For $7.45 you get a medium size pizza with all the toppings you want. There are pastas as well as salads. Forgot to mention that the staff, managers, etc. were delightful. It was one of the very best pizzas I've had. I couldn't believe how dry, light, tasty the crust was. Not to mention how all the toppings we chose came out looking like a picture postcard from Italy. Love, love Pionic. Can't wait to try even some of the other toppings.

This is a great little place. You can design your own pizza with a wide selection of sauces and toppings many of which are fresh and healthy. The Caesar salad was also fresh and delicious. Pizzas are baked in a matter of minutes so you don't need to call in an order to have freshly baked pizza made to order. The business is family owned so staff are friendly and helpful. Don't be fooled by the lack of curb appeal, as it's right next to a dry cleaner in an ugly strip mall. Dine-in facility could be spiffed up a bit but for carry-out or a quick lunch break this place can't be beat. I'll definitely be back!

  • David A.

Average pizza at best. I literally think the guy that helped me at the counter was mentally disabled. My pizza was burned a little bit but it was okay. I suggest dining elsewhere if you're looking for good pizza. There are so many good joints nearby (Grimaldis, Rosatis). Not really worth your time.

This place is amazing! A friend took me the first time, and I was a little dubious by the description, but it wasn't long before I changed my mind. Choosing your own ingredients is fun, and it means you can always have something new. I had the white sauce with spinach and capers...so good! I've brought my friends in since then and everyone seems to enjoy the food. The prices are great, too. Everyone should try this at least once!

The pizza was horrible and soggy. Not worth the price for the puny size. The staff had a strange falsely friendly attitude. Very ingenuous. This place deserves to fail.

I ordered a pizza with whole wheat crust, ovoline mozzarella cheese, marinara sauce, Italian sausage, pineapples, jalapenos, caramelized onions and mushrooms. The pineapples were sour, the caramelized onions looked and tasted odd, the fresh vegetables didn't have enough time to cook, and the "Italian sausage" was just your average pizza sausage balls. The outer crust was good and crispy but the center of the pizza was still limp and under cooked. It's not very good. Pizza takes some time to bake properly and trying to cram it into this format seems like a bad idea. Unless you are a really picky eater and don't care about under cooked pizza, I wouldn't go to Pionic.

The concept is like subway except it's pizza. You get a whole thin crust pizza with unlimited toppings for less than 8 bucks. The pizza is also cooked in less than 5 mintues. It's not the best tasting pizza in Tucson, but its the closest thing to a healthy pizza you'll get. The price, quickness, and it being low in fat and sodium makes this place well worth it. It's not dripping with cheese like most other pizza places. The pizza is not real big. Most people can eat a whole one, but it is cheap and fresh.

What an addition to the Tucson food scene! Amazing concept with an even better product. Fresh ingredients, incredible atmosphere and all for under $7.50! Drove two hours to get here and It is even better than advertised! Grant brings everything he knows from the Eclectic Cafe and translates it into the best new pizza in town. Super thin but chewy crust is so good! I should buy stock in this place I will be here so much!

I've tried many build-your-own pizza places and I believe this one to be the best. The staff are always cordial and helpful. The management is wonderful and the pizza is amazing. It's a bit far from campus, but it's definitely worth the drive.

This is a cool concept. It's essentially Chipotle for Pizzas. You choose your crust, choose your sauce, choose you cheese, and choose your toppings. Then, they pop it in the oven and bring it to your table a few minutes later. The prices are reasonable and the service is just what you expect from a place like this. I had the breakfast pizza with an egg on top and was very please. Crust was cooked well and all the ingredients were tasty. Just know what you're getting (this isn't Pizzeria Bianco pizza), and you will be satisfied.

Worst customer service I have experienced in Tucson. When ordering, I was told "I did not need more cheese" on my pizza. The staff and management have no concept of how to treat customers with common curtesy. Pieology on speedway has much better pizza and CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Very fun concept- customize your own pizza, salad, or pasta! All the reviews before are on point. Food: Better than Average. Not missing out on much if you don't try them out. Came in on a Saturday night just after 8pm. There were only a handful of tables occupied. However, I felt like I walked into the Pionic infantry of employees. There were A LOT. Many people behind the line, some eating their dinners, and the remaining were cleaning. I got a pasta. Made it to my liking. The gentleman behind the line, asked if I've been here before, I responded "non" and he was more than helpful to explain to me what Pionic is and how to order. Very Simple process. Pick your base (Pizza/pasta/salad), then your sauce, then the toppings, and finally you wait for them to cook it. I waited probably 5-10 minutes for them to cook the pasta. Parking Lot is not the greatest. They share it with another store. Be careful you do not drive in the wrong direction! I would probably give them a 4-Star rating, but a few things bothered me when I was ordering and when I was waiting for my food. When I was at the counter ordering my food, everyone was wearing their hat, except for 1 gentleman. He had long-hair too! Yes, Yes, I know this is very picky, but its hard NOT to notice everyone in the place wearing a hat except for 1. The girl at the register, was slouched over and not too pleasant to talk to. She did her whole up-sell speech, "you ordered this? did you want a drink? blah blah blah" She probably had a long day and just wanted to get out of there (I understand that), but customer service does leave a lasting impression. Finally, while waiting for my food to be cooked- there was an employee sweeping the floor. I know that everyone wants to speed up the closing process or maybe the restaurant was a bit dirty. The man was using a push broom sweeping all the dirt and crumbs off the floor. From what I saw, there wasn't too much garbage on the floor to warrant a sweep 2hrs before closing and while there were still customers inside eating/waiting.

Delicious! I fell in love with this unique new pizza concept. Getting to choose every part of my pizza - dough, sauces, cheeses and unlimited toppings...yes! I could tell the ingredients were fresh and high quality, and it really made a difference. The crust was flavorful and held up to the piles of yummy toppings. I had their regular dough, red sauce and mozzarella with four different veggies and two different meats - the spicy chorizo rocked! My husband tried the pesto sauce (yum!) with tomatoes, artichokes, red onions, mushrooms and ham. Both pizzas were so tasty! The staff was super friendly and the clean modern atmosphere was on point. New neighborhood favorite!

Amazing fresh and cheap pizza!!! Fast service even though it was very busy and everyone was so friendly! Such a great concept! You can choose pizza, pasta or salad and choose all the yummy toppings! I got a pizza with pesto and white sauce mixed, roasted red peppers, onion, fresh mozzarella, sausage and fresh basil after it was cooked. My wife got pizza with red sauce, artichokes, mushrooms, bacon and arugula. Both soooo tasty! We will be stopping by again soon to try some other creations!

Over to Tucson from San Diegp to watch USC play Uof A. Found this neat place in a hotel magazine. Picture Subway only you tell the counter person the toppings you want on your personal 12" thin crust pizza.. You can increase the amount of cheese (of which they have several kinds). I had pepperoni, sausage and onions. It is baked in a special oven in less than 2 minutes. Came out perfect. The salad was so so and you needed to ask for added dressing since the small plastic cup did not contain nearly the needed amount of dressing to coat the salad, which you also had assembled to your taste. I wish they had one of these in San Diego. Store not open a long time ,... I am sure they will get even better. I would defintely return . Oh yes the price for salad $ 7.50 Pizza also $ 7.50 Great value

Food is ok. It helps that you can add whatever you would like to the pizza. Gluten free is a plus. If you order online, do not show up when the pizza "should" be done. I showed up right when they told me to and they hadn't started the pizzas yet. They aren't slammed or anything, just hadn't started yet.

This is a great concept for pizza and won't conflict with the fancy new places opening up around town. I won't explain the concept as others have done that, but I will comment that the comparison to Chipotle was spot on. I don't know how they can keep charging less than $8 for a pizza with piles of toppings, but I hope that they can. The sauce is really good, kind of sweet , but also savory. And there are more toppings to choose from than your usual pizza place. My only negative comment is that I had bacon on the pizza and it did not have time to crisp up so I found some chewy fatty chunks while i was eating the pizza. I wonder if I have the bacon put on as the top topping next time if it will be more in the way of direct heat and get crisp. I'll give that a try.

My wife and I have been here twice so daw since they've opened. Our experiences both times were fantastic. Probably one of the best pizzas I've had outside of Italy. My wife also appreciates the vegan options. For the price they can't be beat right now in tucson, especially for vegans and vegetarians.

Unbelievably bad customer service! I went into Pionic Pizza and began to place my order. One of the staff asked me what veggies I wanted on the pizza then proceeded to put it in the oven. I told him that I still wanted meat on the pizza and was told it was too late. I asked him If could have some of the meat toppings to take home so I could later put it on my pizza myself and was told no. Ridiculous, just so bad I almost can't believe it. As far as the quality of the food it was just OKAY.

Great service & best Gluten Free pizza crust I've ever had! Wish I had one of these in Minnesota, I would be there all the time. Highly recommend for a quick lunch. Happy Hour special $5 unlimited topping pizza ($3 up charge for gluten free) was a great deal.

Great fast and friendly service!! We all got different things and loved it. The pasta option was great. We had different pizzas with red, pesto, and alfredo sauces. Also loved supporting a Tucson business. We will definately be back.

My only complaint is that they are way too far away from where I live! Everything tasted so fresh. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The concept is really neat and there are lots of interesting toppings. I loved that I could get capers and fresh mozzarella while my boyfriend enjoyed more traditional bacon. The crust was fantastic and the food came out super quick. Delicious. Very glad we visited and will have to trek across town again for more.

My boyfriend and I visited Pionic for the first time yesterday.. Here are a few of the comments we made during our visit - "Nice!" "Oh, wow!" "ALL of the cheese!" were all exclaimed as we walked in, in response to reading the menus they have by the door. Walking up to the counter an awed "Whoa." uttered by both of us as we surveyed our options. There were several giggles of happiness as we were designing our pizzas and as we went to pay the boyfriend yells "Holy crap - they have beer here!" The staff were SUPER friendly, but not fake friendly - they actually really seemed to enjoy helping us design our pizza. The pizzas came out super quick and were delivered to our table. Add to that a nice selection of beer, the pizza was reasonably priced, you REALLY DO get unlimited toppings and a good bit of them, annnnd oh yeah - it tasted amazing! They have a Happy Hour as well which we were a bit too early for but just another thing that will be bringing us back. To "top it off" they are locally owned!!! Go here!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
