Usually like Nico's but this was my first time at this location. Staff not overly friendly ! Got a burrito and it was so salty we could hardly eat it. I'm sure I'll try it again .

This is probably the cleanest nicos ive visited. The food was dependable, as i've come to expect from nicos. If they can just improve the quality control so that i get the same tasty food every time, I may never need to eat anywhere else.

There are plenty of Mexican eateries out there, but this is my favorite. Okay, maybe not my 1 and only, but I would eat here 1 meal a day if I could (but I can't, because what I order and add to my food is horribly unhealthy...) Last year, I would grab 1 of their MASSIVE breakfast burritos every couple of months on my way to work, and those days were definitely my most memorable days working at that office job. For starters, I remember the amazing flavors that these days brought me. Egg, steak, chorizo, cheese, bacon, potato, salsa, bea... wait... let me stop right there. Salsa. Yes, the ultimate burrito, taco and pretty much anything else condiment. I LOVE salsa. I love Taco Bell sauce packets, I love Tapatío and I love Nico's green & red salsa cups. Do I love them too much? Yes. Yes I do, because what I remember most about these days at work when I would pick up a massive breakfast burrito was the burning lunch hour... It's not Nico's fault, trust me. Their food is amazing, and their salsa, well... I am proud to say it's still my favorite. However, please, when you decide to add 12+ cups of their delectable devil spit to your meal, think twice. think 2 times. 2 times... number 2..... the "flavor" is alot less enjoyable coming out than when it went it. With all that said, my only regret is that I moved from Tucson. Otherwise you know where I would be! (at Nico's, not the bathroom you freak.)

No-frills taco shop, short on ambiance but long on tasty food. The prices are low and everything is good, but the chips are SUPER greasy. Would probably be good hangover food! My sis and I had a California burrito, a veggie burrito, a side of chips and guac and a baggie of pickled veggies. Total was around $20. I would probably come here again.

Love this joint! Carne Asada burritos, rolled tacos, and all the breakfast burritos are great. Fast service and reasonable prices. They are happy to take orders over the phone as well.

I ordered steak egg and cheese burrito and asked for sliced jalapenos inside. Be careful what you ask for. It was overloaded with jalapenos. There were more jalapenos inside than steak or eggs. It was gross. I then started eating my rolled taco. Another failure. It was so dry with no flavor. Ive eaten at many nicos and like it a lot. But I will not be returning to this location. Total disappointment.

I've been here many times, I usually get the Carne Asada burrito. The burritos are huge. Delicious Mexican fast food.

I absolutely love Nicos! I usually get the vegetarian burrito or a breakfast burrito. It's the best thing in the world to have a Nicos burrito after a long hike or after working hard around the house/yard.

Disgusting. Filthy restaurant, breakfast burritos were not fit to eat but unfortunately I didn't find that out until I got them home. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

Potholes and Niccos, two things I am assured with every trip to tuscon. Niccos has long been a symbol of Tuscon their attempt in Tempe was short lived. Cleaner and brighter than your average Mexican fast food place. The menu contains all of the usual items burritos tacos chips etc. this trip I tried the vegetarian burrito, which had just about every non meat item in it, rice, beans guacamole, lettuce, sour cream. ~4.50 ish It was pretty good. We also got a side of chips with cheese a great deal and very tasty. Hot sauce is available, and it is free for the taking but the thimbles of it is quite small so take many, I like the red but the green is good too.

No Surprises here. Exactly what you would expect from this chain. Great place to get a breakfast burrito any time during the day if your in one of the hotels around here.

This location tends to burn/over fry their taco shells. Stick with the burritos and tacos. The enchiladas are not very good. Cheap, quick and better than going to Taco Bell. Inside always smells of disinfectant. So, yay it is clean. But, I could not eat inside due to the overwhelming odor(this is something I have noticed at multiple locations). Their shredded beef is always well seasoned and the service is good. Breakfast burritos are great, much better than Los Betos.

Burros and prices that just can't be beat anywhere that are served at unequalled speed! Fast food that doesn't taste fast. Tasty. Some dishes, like cheese enchiladas, could be improved but overall this is a great place. Open early at 7am and late. 10 pm. One down side: the Cortaro store often uses a horrible bleach cleaner on the floors during serving hours. The smell gets so bad, we leave. The food tastes terrible with that smell in the air. No bueno! Get it go!

The place smells like bleach but other than that tings are great. excellent Breakfast burritos. Burritos and nachos are great. Haven't tried much of anything else though. I recommend the California Burrito. Way better than the Taco He*l across the street. I assure you this lace uses real beef.

I couldn't finish my enchiladas because they were absolutely drenched in enchilada sauce and cheese. The texture and taste of it was ruined by all the goop. Also could have done without the giant heap of lettuce on top--I had trouble finding my food underneath!

Had green chile burrito.... in my lap. I guess my fault, but a chili burrito should come better wrapped. If hadn't tasted so good, I would have been mad, but it was great chili verde.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
