A co-worker and I came here because of all the high reviews, and we were amazed. The food here is delicious. Tastes fresh homemade, not old and like from under a heat lamp. People are pleasant and not rude like most Asian restaurants. Will be coming back again and again.

This hole-in-the-wall, out of the way Chinese Restaurant on Mexican Food Row is an AMAZE-BALL gem!!! The service here is super-friendly and quick. The food is super-affordable and sooooooo good. Super authentic!!! Humongous portions!!! Dinner for $6 a person!!! Unheard of. Had beef chop suey and sweet & sour chicken. Played it safe. Soooo good. Will definitely be here again.

A decent vegan/vegetarian friendly Chinese restaurant in the southwest side of Tucson!!?? Yes it's TRUE!!! Great prices, great atmosphere, good menu selection. And guess what! There really are Mexicans who eat healthy below 22nd Street, we just wish the South & SW side business markets would wake up and catch up! La Bella China ahead of tha game!

I work near this restaurant and they deliver here every day...just for me! Seriously - I am addicted to the sesame chicken. It is delicious. If you dine in the portions are even larger and the shrimp fried rice is amazing. Its a must try...over and over and over again!

Jennifer T - Hope you did not come to Tucson from California expecting authentic Chinese cuisine. You would have been better off looking for and finding some family-owned Sonoran Mexican food places that really highlight "authentic" cuisine in Tucson. Regardless, La Bella China does have some worthy Chinese/American dishes which are all-in-all not bad. I would recommend 2 - the Mongolian Beef and the House Cantonese Chow Mein. The House Cantonese Chow Mein is made with pan-fried noodles topped with chicken, beef, shrimp, and bbq pork. With this dish, Jennifer T does have a point that the sauce is pretty salty. However, saltiness aside, the taste has somewhat of a good flavor be it the all too familiar and ever-present "brown sauce" found in so many Chinese/American dishes. The pan fried Cantonese noodles do soak up this brown sauce rather well and make for a pretty good dish. The Mongolian Beef has really good flavor as the beef is tender and the semi-spicy sauce quite tasty. The staff are friendly and the place is kept clean. I have not ordered any of the vegetarian dishes but there are a lot of varieties on the menu. Maybe worth a try for some.... Delivery is available for those who do not like the surrounding barred windows and live within the delivery area.

I hate to be the first reviewer and give a bad review, but the food here was plain bad. It was completely Americanized, but not even Americanized and decent tasting like Panda Express. It was Americanized and well, not that good. The sour and spicy soup was too thick, almost to the point of being goopy. Everything else was too salty, probably from using too much sauce. I'm sure some people might like it, but this place was definitely not for me. It was also in a neighborhood in which many of the store windows had bars over them. Driving there at night, especially as an out-of-town visitor, wasn't pleasant. However, on the plus side, the place was fairly clean; the staff was friendly, and the service was fast. Each meal's portion was also good for its cheap price; you get a stuffed fried wonton skin, an egg roll, and a bowl of rice with each dinner special at around $6. For these points and the assumption that this restaurant is probably family owned, I'll give it 2 stars, even though it deserves more around 1.5.

I Love this place, myself and my family(including 3 kids) come here all the time. All the servers are very nice and welcoming. They are very attentive. I love the bobba teas and if I ever have questions about the menu the girls are so kind and friendly. I love eveything I've tried so far. My favorite so far is the udon soup and peking beef. The bowl of udon soup is so big we shared it with 4 people and still had some to take home! I am constantly recommending this place. They do also do delivery, but my house is a ways away from the resturant so I havent tried it, but I am actually within the delivery area.

I eat here about once a week. The soups are awesome as are the lunch entrees. I've had the Sizzling Rice Soup multiple times in the last year just because it is so good.

Omg, so good!!! We were driving thru Tucson on our way to Sedona and stopped in here. The name was kind of misleading, it doesn't sound like a Chinese name, at least to me, but don't go by what I say, it might be a Chinese saying for all I know. Anyway, the food was delicious and the waitress was very friendly and helpful in giving me directions to a Pier !! We both had moo goo gai(?), highly recommend this place!!

I enjoyed the sesame chicken dinner entree. The environment was clean and the staff friendly. This place has been here for years and I've bypassed it but I will be returning.

Best Chinese food in Tucson! Love this place! Our family has been coming here for a long time almost every Sunday for lunch and it only gets better. Food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. I've yet to find better lo mein in Arizona or Utah. Their pork dumplings are also my all time favorite thing here. You can't go wrong with any choice!

Great food! Large vegan/vegetarian menu (even custom made a vegan curry dish for me.) The seafood eater with me ordered the Shrimp and vegetables and said it was wonderful. Large portions. The vegetable soup (small order) was enough for 2 people. Wish this place was in Phoenix! Friendly staff! Great price! Will definitely eat here again on my next trip through.

Had the Szechwan pork dinner special and my wife had the orange chicken dinner special. The food was very tasty and impressive for the price. Even the boba was great, and the delivery was very timely. I would definitely suggest this place to anyone looking for good Chinese food on the south side.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
