Food is amazing!! Ever fails and whatever u request they can add.. Had the chicken club salad with extra cheese and added olives... So tasty!! Only flaw is that for delieveries they do take an 1+. They tell you 30 mins but ends up being an hour or longer.

I have a love/hate relationship with Jason's Deli. I love that they have a menu with such variety -- baked potatoes! Muffalettas! Paninis! Sandwiches crammed with meat (I'm looking at you, New York Yankee)! Salads! But I hate that they fall short in places. Some sandwiches are so hastily constructed that it's a fool's errand to even try to pick it up, as even the toothpicks shoved into the sandwiches are supposed to hold it together. The "giant" baked potatoes are on occasion undercooked or the toppings are thrown on haphazardly. This is especially evident when they're busy. And the salads -- more specifically, the salad bar -- I often find myself playing a game of "how fresh is_____?" with the various vegetables and salads on the salad bar. I've seen yellow peppers that were slowly gaining a greenish cast, cherry tomatoes that were taking on a raisin-like consistency and sliced mushrooms looking downright mushy. That's not to say that it's all bad, but when you expect to have a bit of everything and after a review of the salad bar you have lettuce, croutons and maybe a dash of sunflower seeds with your dressing...it's notable. One can only hope that they will work on this. (I did make mention of it to the young woman replenishing various containers from underneath the salad bar, but her blank expression didn't give me much hope.) Is Jason's Deli worth it? I think it depends on what you get and how busy it is. I do think they're capable of doing better. Question is, does management there care to try?

I'm really surprised that there are only two other reviews for Jason's deli. There are always people at the place, and I always hear good things about it. On top of that, I'm a pretty good fan of it. The sandwiches that I've tried are all pretty good, and they come out pretty fast. The salad bar has a lot of options, but could use a couple additional light or fat free options. If you could get just the one time through plate without ordering a sandwich, that would be an awesome meal. Instead, though, and understandably so, you have to get the unlimited refill salad bar for about eight bucks. They have free soft serve ice cream, and tons of options for soft drinks and tea. Most of the time they have crumbled up cookies at the register for $.75 that go great with the soft serve. The only bad thing I can really say about Jason's is that the baked potatoes are pretty dry, even when they're loaded with cheese. A solid 4-stars.

Ok so here's the deal with Jasons Deli. Its definetly not gourmet, but its not super expensive either. Its a decent price for the food, which is mediocore, but what did u expect? Basically, its a great little place to eat on a small budget or if u just want a casual place to eat. They have a great selection, and have many lite meals, though the free soft serve won't help your diet, but its good! The service is fairly quick, and everyone is friendly enough. Jasons deli is not my favorite, but when I go I'm always pleased with their food and service.

I have really tried to like Jason's Deli but just can't find anything better than Me'h there. The food looks good in the Photos but in person it seems Sterile and bland, almost cafeteria like to me. The prices are affordable, and the place is clean and the staff friendly, I am just not a fan of the food.

Happy to see this place is still open and just as delicious as ever! How could you not love a place that offers free frozen yogurt at the end of your meal?!

after our visit to the mall, we took mom last weekend for lunch to jasons. mom ordered the 1/2 chicken salad wrap and vegetable soup and a side of fruit. she devoured the wrap. since we had a big breakfast, i went with the salad bar and the hubster went with the jambalaya soup. loved the ice cream which is included with your meal (complimentary). would definitely return because of the healthy selections.

Not Another Deli..." This is a quick review of Jason's Deli. Quick only because I didn't go there but had my boyfriend bring it home for me to experience. I had a wrap... some Southwest Chicken Wrap or something like that. It wasn't bad. However, I could taste the fat dripping off the chicken.... like the chicken was still sweating from its slaughter. ... its fat food. They do serve you tasty chips and a pickle. I think its a little on the slightly-more-expensive-than-what-I would-pay-for side. The all you can eat buffet bar sounds like something worth trying for, especially for the price.

I guessed that the word "deli" meant just that. Being from NY and LA, I tried their pastrami sandwich, as did my girlfriend. Oy what a mistake! The rye bread was bizarre ( read - tasteless) , and any similarity between their pastrami and the real thing simply did not exist. They don't have cole slaw! WHAT? Finally, the balance of the afternoon, my girlfriend spent in bathrooms. We agreed that we have now gone there twice - first AND last time.

Ten months later and about ten trips here since my last review. This location is now a 5 star in my books. Food is still very delicious, especially the garden bar. Their sandwiches are well worth the price, especially the quantity they give you on it. I don't know why I stopped at 4 stars, but I'm upgrading them because of the customer service. Everyone here is friendly and professional. Props to the manager for overseeing awesome employees. In case you were wondering, they do deliver. However you can eat from Jason's Deli, whether it be sitting down, taking it to-go, or having it delivered, you should definitely try it if you haven't yet. If you opt for the salad bar, they have many options. Not as big as some other places, but everything on the line is fresh and delicious. I'm a huge of fan of hummus, and they do have it for the taking! Now I'm off to find out who Jason actually is because his idea for a restaurant works!

The food here is good, but not great. The Pork VeraCruz sandwich I had today was good, but small for the price. It's made with processed meat, not fresh, and for $8 it was not worth the money. I left hungry still, since I don't eat the chips they serve it with. See the pic and judge for yourself.

Food is just OK . all Jason's are a "gun free zone".

I chose the "build your own sandwich" option: toasted herb focaccia, smoked turkey, provolone & chipotle aioli. This loaded sandwich was pretty delicious. My friend ordered a gluten free sandwich and thought it was great, and it was under a dollar for the upgrade whereas other establishments would charge more. You order at the counter but a server brings the dish to your table, our servers were very friendly and reminded us that the soft serve ice cream is free. I would return just for the black current iced tea, it was so refreshing! I always prefer to frequent a locally owned business and will be returning soon.

You can eat at any of hundreds of sandwich shops in the Tucson area, but only at this Jason's Deli are you going to get astonishingly fresh & delicious food for a very reasonable price (just about guaranteed to be less money than anywhere else) and have a chance to support AWESOME, hardworking local all-around-NICE people at the same time. Don't misunderstand me - there are loads of nice people at many other places, but it seems like the management at this particular Jason's is doing something special to ensure that they have a steady supply of great, customer-oriented employees every time we visit. Are you sometimes going to find a little sticky spot on your table? Maybe. Is there going to be a long line during the lunch hour? Likely. And is someone eventually going to make a stupid mistake? Well, they're only human. What I'm saying is that it seems like those are risks you are going to face almost anywhere these days, but that the plusses at this place consistently outweigh the minor minuses AND you will probably notice, as I have, that the secret ingredient at Jason's is their people, who will always do their best to make you happy. And, may I also suggest that if you have seen negative reviews for this place, consider swinging in when it's quiet, maybe mid-afternoon on a weekday (if you're fortunate enough to have that luxury) or maybe on your way home from work to get some take-out. I think you might find that the reality is better than the complaint. I agree that they are not perfect, but we've eaten here a couple of dozen times and have many, many more positive memories than not. And check out their strawberry shortcake!

We used to be regular patrons of Jason's, dining there at least once a week. I kept finding too much black pepper in various menu selections and my wife didn't care for the same herb chicken that she found in multiple menu items. We had stopped eating here for a couple of years until one day we decided to give them another try. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our old concerns had dissipated. I have discovered my new favorite at Jason's, the Chicken Pot Pie Soup. All the delicious inside ingredients without all the breading of the shell. If you love that tasty sauce the vegetables and chicken float in then you'll love this soup. They do lay a piece of fresh baked bread of some kind on top (its light and flaky like a pastry) but its not overwhelming. My wife usually orders the Cheese and Broccoli soup but decided to try the Southwest Chicken Chili this time. She had them add onions and cheese. She was hoping it would have a little kick but not so much that all she would taste would be the heat. This soup delivered. It was chocked full of chicken, beans, tomatoes, onions and cheese. She got a cup but said she could have eaten a bowl. It was that good! Jason's has one of the best salad bars in Tucson. Several kinds of lettuce, spinach, and all the vegetables you can think of plus some you normally don't see on a salad bar (dill pickles, beets, corn bread for example). All cold, fresh and colorful with many options of regular or low fat dressings. Dessert is covered as well with chocolate and banana pudding, apples, pineapple, and more if you have any room left after your salad. All for a reasonable price of $8. Ice cream is free for everyone and they have both chocolate and vanilla plus a swirl with both flavors.

Sometimes a restaurant is nearly in your face and, for some reason, you just ignore it! Stuuuuuuuuuupiddd! This place is fantastic for a low to midpriced restaurant. The salad bar is scrumptious and the muffaletta will zoom you right back to New Orleans! I had the turkey muffaletta and could not help finishing the whole quarter-round. Not everyplace in Nawlins serves muffalettas this way but I think the Rounds are the best which are served on a fresh sesame roll. Deeeeelicious. Will be back again SOOOOOOOOOOOOON! Try it, is my perfect advice!

We use Jason's Deli occiasionally for our catering needs at work and they are Amazing! Not only is the food really good and well presented....we usually speak with Craig M. (the Sales Manager) and he is beyond amazing! He is so nice and professional and makes sure we are always well taken care of!

I'll start by saying this was my first time at Jason's Deli and how friendly and helpful the staff is! That's an awesome plus. Their menu is great from light to filling options. They have like 8 soups a day, a fresh salad bar and especially impressed that they have plenty of vegetarian and organic options, & not to forget the free ice cream. Anyway, I left super full, satisfied, and with the urge to return.

Love Love Love. One of my favorite places in town. I hit up the salad bar after going to the gym sometimes. Or the baked potato for when I need some comfort food. The taco salad is awesome sauce! I love how they just pile the chili on top. The nutty salad is also amazing, it has a nice light dressing and lots of nuts, berries, cheese, and leafy greens. Great place for lunch.

Today I went and had a half beefeater and a cup of the brocolli cheese soup. And have had the salad bar and potatoes before too. Positive: The salad bar is one of the best things on the menu, love that they give a pickle with every sandwich (I just love pickles!), beefeater is great (lots of roast beef on the sandwich), the potatoes are bigger than my head, they have many manu choices, the staff is very friendly and willing to fix anything that is wrong. Negative: The brocolli cheese is hit and miss (some days it is great others it is not cooked enough or over cooked), this is the 2nd time I have ordered a beefeater with no mayo and they put it on there anyways

This place is outstanding. From the minute you come in contact with anyone that works here it starts off as a great experience. The salad bar is always clean and full. If you order something off the menu, it is better than expected! The service is genuine, courteous and prompt. Love it!

Jason's Deli offers a broad selection of tasty sandwiches, potatoes, and soups. I like to remind people of the "Mangers Special" which is a combo of soup or salad and half of a sandwich along with chips and a pickle. The sandwiches are huge, so trust me, half of one is just fine! I personally appreciate the lighter low fat menu options (the Turkey Rueben is my fav). Also, DON'T FORGET YOUR FREE SOFT SERVE CONE!! Yes, it's free to everyone that orders a meal :)

Gary (husband & part of my dining "trio") and I enjoy eating here because they have a super salad bar with lots of variety & some substance. They also have delicious deli meats and sandwiches, and other choices (wraps, soups...) as well. We opted for one all-you-can-eat salad bar ($7.50), one side salad ($3.99, that interprets as one visit to the salad bar) and one New York Yankee sandwich ($8.59, and the most loaded sandwich they have, per the cashier. Figures we'd pick that sandwich, oink, oink!). The sandwich was served with warm and very tender pastrami and corned beef and Swiss cheese on rye. VERY good and very large. It comes with chips and you can substitute them if you want something else (might be a slight up charge). I realized after we left that this sandwich did not come with a pickle! I love deli pickles (hey, I grew up with real hardcore deli foods in NJ & NY, including pickles stewing in a real pickle barrel!). PICKLED ABOUT THE PICKLE DILEMMA: So I was curious and I just called them and said, where's the pickle with the deli sandwich? And I found out I missed the boat. Or at least the pickle. They stopped putting them on the plate. They can be found lurking on the salad bar--all you want to eat! And no one told me. So the pickles are still lurking there. So I'm telling you, you fellow pickle lovers! (I know, I sound silly and I'm just being playful about it.) We ended up taking it home as tomorrow's dinner. Gary enjoyed the terrific salad bar, with many veggies, pastas, olives, beets, eggs, artichokes, nuts, granola, dried fruits, breads, desserts, these really super flatbread crunchy crackers (health-foody and fab), and a billion other choices on the long salad bar. Something for everyone. That salad bar is a very good value and the vibes at this Jason's are friendly and nice. Oh, and they have free soft ice cream for those who may still have an inkling of an appetite left after enjoying Jason's Deli delights. HUMANE TIP: Remember to tip the busboy; there is no regular table service except someone carries the food to you when it's ready. Those folks work hard clearing those tables and work long hours.

I LOVE THIER SALAD BAR! When I want to eat healthy and fresh I go eat here. The best part of the salad bar is when you are done eating the veggies and the salad, go for the bran muffins and the chocolate chip putting and mix the two together, HEAVEN!!!! And lastly they just recently added ICE CREAM!!! and its free!!!! Don't miss out on this!

This is my new favorite lunch order place. Every so often many of us at work like to eat together. Sometimes we potluck, but sometimes we are just too lazy for that. We like to order from Jason's which usually involves me collecting orders and money. This go-around I realized you can set up an "event' on their website. Everyone can go in and order for themselves and BEST OF ALL PAY FOR THEMSELVES. The event closes at a preset time and Jason's makes the delivery. The order is delivered with names on bags and the whole bit. Best part for me is if an order is wrong, it is not my fault. Food is good although we are a hike from Jason's so I suggest not getting hot sandwiches. This is our go-to work delivery place now. And I am a hero for organizing.

I love being on this side of town, its gives us an excuse to come to Jason's Deli! The variety here is a smorgasbord of everything. Soup (which is delish), Salad, Sandwiches (an eclectic assortment), Great-- Fresh Salad Bar and Free soft serve to end it all on a sweet note! Forewarning, don't run away when you see the line that is often very long, it goes fast and is WORTH the little wait there is! Everything here is fresh and it shows! The staff is kind, and always willing to bring you whatever you need! ***For first timers, Grab a menu from the wall on the way in, Place the order at the counter.... they give you a number to attach to a number holder at whatever table you take...and they will bring your trays to you. In the meantime, grab your cups, and fill um' up...and if your really anxious.... I say, Grab a cup of soft serve! I vote with those who say dessert is best --served first! LOL!

I'm gonna keep this one short and just say... Best Salad Bar around. And by that I mean, it's not the best thing ever, but it is the best salad bar in this part of town. Huge selection of stuff, and ingredients that are actually fresh (none of this Subway fresh sh*t)

  • Gary S.

Lots of good sandwiches here. My two favorites are the Club Royale and the Muffaletta. If you are a first timer here these are choices to start with. By the way unless you are a giant eater get the half Muffaletta. Club Royale Toasted croissant with smoked turkey breast, ham, bacon, Swiss, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, honey mustard. Ham & Hard Salami Muffaletta The sandwich begins with round, crusty New Orleans muffaletta bread with ham, hard salami, provolone, and olive mix.

I have an unhealthy addiction with the California Club at Jason' Deli. I love that they use organic products (not on all meals, mind you) and you have the option of a healthy choice for a side. I always get the California Club, a yummy turkey sandwich with mayo, tomato, and sprouts on a yummy, flaky croissant. I opt for the fruit and yogurt as a side...the fruit is ripe and juicy.. SOOO good. Best of all, this place doesn't burn a hole in your pocket, about $7 for a meal. AND they offer frozen yogurt for dessert...get this, FOR FREE. Lovely. I am a regular and have never been disappointed.

Their soup is fantastic! Honestly I like Baggin's sandwhiches better, but Jason's soup is top notch!

  • Tim S.

Jason's Deli was quite a fresh place. The meat was fresh, the bread was fresh, the lettuce was fresh, the tiny bug in the lettuce was not fresh. It was dead. Oh well, that sort of thing happens. I just tore that piece of lettuce off. I liked all the options at Jason's Deli. If I go back, I'd be tempted to try the massive baked potato they have there. A lot of the sandwiches sounded really good, and the ones I saw looked good. I might want to try the salad bar sometime too. It was quite large. Another plus at Jason's is you get complimentary soft serve yogurt. A sweet way to top off a good meal.

I am a big fan of Jason's Deli. However, I was seriously disappointed in their poor service today. I ordered my meal to eat in. People behind me in line were getting their food. After 20 minutes I asked where my food was? The response I received was "You already got it." I explained that I did not, and I only had a few more minutes on my lunch break. I was told it would take 5 more minutes and they could throw in another bowl of soup. Well, at this point I did not have one bowl of soup. I am not sure why I would need two. Instead of rushing my order, the employees proceeded to argue with each other about giving my food to the wrong customer. I waited ten more minutes and asked for my money back. No soup for me. the Jason's Deli on Oracle Rd. needs to take some lessons from their sister location on Broadway. I will not return to the Oracle location again. It is a poorly managed operation. I will say the baked potatoes are phenomenal. I will only eat them at the Broadway location from now on.

Why didn't I take a look at the salad bar before I ordered? Even late at night the salad bar looks really, really good! I had a great croissant sandwich and soup. I like the choices on the menu and even though it was really close to closing, the staff was extremely nice and helpful.

I really like this place and frequent it 2-3 times a month. The salad bar is full of fresh, healthy and some not so healthy options. I got the tomato basil soup and it was served hot and was delicious. The soft serve ice cream with cake cones is always a plus. Unfortunately this place is usually pretty empty, hopefully they can survive the economy.

I've been here twice now, and was neither blown-away nor repulsed. Hence, I have concluded I will continue going unless one of my favorites takes precedence. I love the free ice cream, the food is moderately decent. Not much else can be said.

My kids will always say yes to Jason's. My husband loves their French Onion soup and Roast Beef Sandwiches. Fruit portions available- I love that. Delicious iced teas and a soft serve bar. Gets packed on Sundays after the church crowd lets out!!

Too many options is never a bad thing. I decided to go with a sandwich today - thanks Amy for writing about the California Club. Even though the salad bar is tempting, the sandwiches rock. Mine had bacon, turkey, avocado, and sprouts. Sounds like Baggins, right? Well, this one was on a croissant and came with a side of steamed vegetables and of course the frozen yogurt. All for $7. Almost everything on the menu is $6 or $7. Jason's Deli is a place where you can sit alone in a booth and not feel awkward, order lunch for your work, or just hang out with your family.

This place serves really good sandwiches, but they are not the best in town. They have many options to choose from. However, the reason this place gets 3 stars, instead of 2, is because of the salad bar. If it was not for the salad bar, I would say go somewhere else for a sandwich.
