Atmosphere: It is a buffet; typical buffet style layout where you choose your seat and then proceed to the varieties of food to fill up your plate. The layout is easy and the choices are plentiful. The noise level is what you would expect from a buffet and the clientele is diverse. Signage is bright and the food areas are clean with certain points of food spillage due to the self service nature of a buffet. Product: The food was surprisingly better then I remember it being. I got a medium rare steak which was good, albeit more of the rare side which I prefer anyhow. The salad selection and additions are decent and I was not left wanting more choice. The dessert selections appeared to be fresh and plentiful. Service: It is a buffet so the service cannot be compared to other res truants, but we did have a sever to refill our drinks and take away plates. The server was friendly but not the most timely on refilling our low water. The food servers behind the buffet isles seemed more distant and unconcerned. The gentleman cutting the meats was communicative and had a pleasant demeanor. Conclusion: Better then I remember from my last visit. Nothing outstanding, if you are looking for a buffet other then an Asian focused buffet this is a decent quality one to go to.

The hostess was not very welcoming, our waitress was a slight improvement but "Carla" who was covering the dessert bar had excellent customer service and I would return strictly based on my interactions with her. The food was good, nothing extravagant but i found the staples i know and love. This location was much cleaner and friendlier guests than the other two locations in Tucson. Would eat here again with my husband and two small children under 5 years old.

Went to Golden Corral on Saturday night 5/9/15. Food was cold and they were not replacing it. Several people were complaining. What happened to me made me realize this would be my last time to ever go to this location. I asked for one of their steaks medium rare. When I cut into it, the steak was completely raw. I mean RAW! It wasn't even rare. Just appeared cooked on outside but raw on inside. It was gross. The fried fish was cold and had been laying out for who knows how long. When I showed the steak to the lady waiting my table, she took it to the manager who was in the kitchen and showed it to her. The lady waiting my table was also shocked and could see how nasty it looked. The manager could have cared less. She never came over. The manager looked like she was scolding the server who was showing her (Very unprofessional). The server returned and just said sorry for that. They did nothing to try to fix this. The manager was busy walking around behind the buffet, filling up a bunch of containers full of food for her family so she could leave. She was saying loudly she was going to leave for the night. We could hear it across the room. A real manager would have been embarrassed, but it was evident the management here is absent and responsible for such a nasty place. I wasted $30.87 for a party of two. The floors where the staff work in the kitchen were filthy. We will never eat at this place again. It's a rip off. Multiple food violations at this place. We left without eating hardly anything. The iced tea is good along with the dinner roll. They couldn't screw that up. If you like cold stale food and room for food poisoning, I recommend Golden Corral.

It's buffet food. It's not 5 star quality but worth the money. Be warned if you go to a buffet there may be fat people. Whining about how they ruin your appetite would lead one to believe that that individual probably shouldn't go there, but I digress. Sam was the best waitress they ever had and their sausage and peppers are on point. So if you don't mind a bunch of big people doing exactly what everyone else is doing (overindulging) and like pub quality food, all you can eat for under $15, this is the place to go. Seriously who knowingly goes to an all you can eat restaurant and then complains about obese people? It's like going to a rock concert and saying "It's too loud."

Have booked their separate room twice for two retirement luncheons and would book again in the future. It is nice that this Golden Corral offers a separate large room where large groups can meet, eat, and talk without disrupting the other diners. Buffet allows everyone to be happy because they have many options to choose from. Another plus- GC doesn't charge extra to reserve the room! The staff has always been attentive and flexible. Great restaurant for groups on a budget.

I have been to this location twice now, and both times it was disappointing. Tonight I got there at 7:30, and the people working behind the counters were busy closing down. They had not much out that looked fresh. There was only a few leg pieces of fried chicken left, and they had moved them from the normal spot and shut down the chicken area already. One of the reasons I went there was for the ribs I had seen on their ads. Well that special was over last week I guess, since there were no ribs at all. One of the other things I like at this place is their pot roast. The pot roast here was more fat than meat, and was not cooked with the vegetables, so the flavor just wasn't there. Since there were no ribs I tried to get a steak. It took two minutes to get someone to get me a piece of steak. They would not grill a fresh steak, since they had shut the grill down. They did this before 8 pm, and the restaurant is open until 10 pm. I was not able to eat the salad I made, because someone had put blue cheese into the ranch dressing. I heard several people complain about this, but nothing was done to fix the issue. The staff of a restaurant can make or break a place, and the staff at this store is working to get their store shut down. They need to fire most of the crew.

I have held a couple of meetings at this location. The room rent is FREE. The management made sure that I had top quality wait staff for my event. Special shout out to Kat and Arly for doing sure a great job.! The quality of service and food makes this location high on my favorite places. There is NOTHING golden about Golden Corral. If you're going to use a color to describe this place, I'd use brown. Don't even get me started. Anyways id like to know WHY ON EARTH DOES THE FOOD HAVE BETTER SEATING THAN ME? IM SITTING HERE FREEZING AND THE FOOD IS ALL COZY & WARM AND HAS WONDERFUL LED LIGHTS UPON IT! My lightbulb was burned out when I was trying to propose to my wife George. That's not the point. The point is how long is this food sitting out honestly I'm worried... The amount of people sweat the foods must absorb is beyond me. Toxic. Help. But wow guys you really out did yourself with the chocolate fountain. It won Georgie over! If I could give 10 stars I would but I'll give the next best thing, 3. God bless.

As buffets go, Golden Corral is at the top of my list. It has become a tradition for my wife and I to head here for Thanksgiving dinner. I am amazed how they can prepare for the onslaught of people that invade their establishment for thanksgiving. Turkey with all the fixings as well as their regular menu. The staff is friendly and hardworking on a day I know they would rather be home with their own families. Keep up the good work.

this place isn't even worth a star. first of all, you walk around getting run into by ridiculous kids that parents refuse to parent. second, there's so many food choices, so the blend of smells equal something less than possibly appetizing. third, one would think with the variety of different food they have to offer, SOMETHING would be edible.. but unfortunately, I spent a little over half an hour going through plates, picking at the mediocre, lukewarm pieces of food on my plate in disgust & only ended up with a stomach ache. the worst 10 dollars I have ever wasted. & to top it all off, the service is terrible. I guess I should have known better, I used to work there & saw how they kept the food.. I honestly can't believe it's still open. elderly people with no taste must be keeping this horrid place in business.

I have eaten there several times. It is the newest GC here in the Tucson area. The food is always good. I do not like the floor plan of this restaurant, I prefer the other 2 GC's floor plan (they are older restaurants and franchise owned rather than a company owned restaurant like this one!) My complaint is that it is too spread out and rather small in comparison. The buffet line runs from one end of the building almost to the other end rather than a walk AROUND type serving line that is at the older buildings on 22nd and the one at Midvale.

We met some friends here for dinner last time, and for the second time I've been very disappointed in this place. For my husband and I to have dinner, it was $28 (not including tip). For $14 a person, I'd expect better quality food and a cleaner environment... on both accounts, I was disappointed. When we first walked in, the place was a mad house. Busy, people rushing around everywhere. It was very disorienting. We found our friends crammed in a back corner, and we had to spread across two tables (uncomfortably) to all fit in. Tables around us were filled with dirty plates that were unbus-ed for who knows how long... at a busy time, that's not a good strategy! Getting food meant a lot of waiting around time for the more popular items to come out. I asked one chef when the sesame chicken would be ready. He told me 2 minutes... and after about 3 more trips to see if it was ready, it came out about 20 minutes later. The foods that I did try were pretty "blah" at best... tasted mostly like microwave dinners or something straight from freezer to oven. Refills of drinks and the busing of dirty plates on our own table was severely lacking. Combine that with the crowds and overall mess, I think it's safe to say I won't be returning here again.

Can't really complain or compare this place to buffets like the Bellagio buffet or the Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan in Vegas but for $7.99 for breakfast/lunch, it's pretty great to me! For the one week that I was in Tucson, my boyfriend and his family introduced me to Golden Corral. We would come around 10:50am on Sundays (the Sunday I came and the Sunday I left), pay for breakfast price and getting to eat both breakfast food AND lunch! Seriously, we're SO smart (as if a bunch of other people haven't already figured this out....). And most importantly, THEY'VE GOT WINGS! OMG.....$8 for all you can eat wings?! OKAYYYYYYY!!! and cornbread and mac n cheese and sneaking individual packets of cereals into my purse (because I'm asian and my mexican bf is always giving me the stink eye for doing it). I just know that the locations in California (like Rowland Heights) doesn't have that great of a rep so I think I'll be sticking to Tucson.
