Not one of the better days here the ham tasted processed, the broccoli was cold on a bright note the rolls were good I can always count on those.

Easter Sunday, over crowded at 6:00 PM, staff lacked in recognition of being mobility challenged using a walker and very slow, couldn't have been seated any further from the door! Tables open close to the door!!! Floor was FILTHY and not been swept or spills wiped up. Had to pick food off of walker wheels and bottoms of shoes once back at our vehicle. Roasted Chicken, Pot Roast and Steaks were great. Hot veggies were quite undercooked, Okra over cooked, rolls great, out of ham, shrimp over fried. Has been years since in a Golden Corral, will more than likely be years before we go back.

I eat here once a week. I take a container to go. It last me two meals. Food is always fresh. The Staff is always friendly.

It's almost been two years since my last review of Golden Corral. I have to admit that since I'm a buffet guy, I periodically continue to visit this place. My recent experiences have given me reason to give them an extra star. The customer service is inconsistent, but at least there are opportunities for some days for it to be decent. This is still a fairly noise place, and you still have to take extra precautions to make sure unsupervised kids don't run into you. Unfortunately, the deli salads are still items to avoid because of its can-like taste. The soups are a hit-or-miss. The best thing here to get (in my opinion) is the taco bar (beans, guacamole, fajitas), certain hot foods (mashed potatoes with gravy, steamed broccoli, mushrooms, corn, peas, barbecue baked beans), and the eggs when breakfast food is available. The other Golden Corral is still the one in town that is decent, clean, and better maintained. At least this Golden Corral has made some improvement in the last two years.

Golden Corral is like the king of buffets. That is to say, when you want to eat a whole lot of nothing in particular, this is a solid choice for where to go. The food: Golden Corral has a wide selection of American comfort foods and classics, including mac and cheese, meatloaf, fried mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and a whole load of things that start with letters other than 'm', too. None of it is great -- let's be honest, no buffet ever is. But it's also not bad. The less-popular items seem to sit in picked-over, nearly-empty dishes for long periods of time. For example, today I noticed the same 3 pieces of yellowish broccoli in a dish for the duration of my visit, and never managed to get any proper broccoli. Which isn't a huge loss. The dessert: If you somehow save room for dessert after unlimited trips to the buffet, they have a wide assortment of pies, cakes, gelatins, ice creams, and a whole host of things you can dip in chocolate or caramel fountains. And if I'm being perfectly honest, you could probably invent some incredible new foods by putting the non-dessert items through the fountains, too. The ambiance: As the name implies, you do feel herded about like cattle in a corral. It's a very busy restaurant at all times, and it can be hard to move without risking collision. There's no indication of which way to travel around the buffet, so near-collisions are frequent. The verdict: Generally I think buffets are to be avoided. But if this is what you're into, Golden Corral is among the best in town. Maybe you like to eat a lot of food at a flat rate. Maybe you couldn't get your group to decide on what to eat. Or maybe, like me, you have a week each month where your tastebuds are screwed up by chemotherapy and you're taking a steroid that makes you crave food in unimaginable volume. Whatever your reason, Golden Corral.

Not bad for people on a budget. Lots of variety.

This place is rough. Food is subpar at best. Ribs were over cooked and slapped with this weird honey sauce. Corn tasted like it was in the freezer for a year. Only good thing about this place was the dessert.

Worst restaurant I've been to in a very very long time. The food was disastrously disappointing. Every bathroom stall was filled with people doing diarrhea. If you want to get sick than this is the place to be...I'm surprised they haven't been shut down yet...YUCK!

Mom wanted to eat here. She likes it here. A lot. So I took her here. She really enjoyed it. A lot. Three or four trips for different foods each time. I'm really happy she enjoyed it so much. The food I had was ok. I'll even admit that the dishes, silverware, floor, tables, etc were clean. Our 'waitress' kept our drinks full and removed our dirty dishes quickly. She was really friendly too. It's still not my choice for eating out unless my mom wants to eat there.

First of all let me start off by saying this is no Caesars Palace or Bellagio. But when it comes to good buffets here in Tucson, this one is definitely worth a trip by! The steaks? Oh my gosh they are actually really good and the guy who was behind the glass cooking them was hilarious, I believe his names Mike, he really seemed to be enjoying his job and just created a great atmosphere. I will definitely be back here again when I'm craving a little bit of everything :-)

My lord this is something else. The reason why they don't just hand out rolaids at the register is beyond me. The supposed highlight of this establishment--the three prized fondues of doom-- are an absolute mess. If a waterfall and a porta potty had an infant, hello welcome to Golden Corral desert section. Service is certainly important at any meal. I believe Socrates said that. In this case, the only thing slower and more confused I've ever came across is a tortoise with amnesia. So why 2 stars? Am I drunk? Did I spend the afternoon with miss Mary Jane? No. The banana pudding was decadent enough to justify the one star bonus. The hidden flaky crust beneath a gorgeous layer of whipped banana goodness was downright fantastic. Plus there were appropriately placed banana slices...not for the light hearted! Ultimately be extremely careful around this bronze corral. Side effects may include: Severe indigestion Chills Fever Bloating Gas (mass quantities) Anger Depression And lastly, self-loathing. BEESH

I usually try to give some spots a couple tries before I write a less than stellar review just in case they were having a bad day, but it seems like this place gets worse each time I go. I will say that the steaks looked delicious and my dad's was exactly as he ordered it - medium rare. However, avoiding red meat for the evening, my selection was limited to fried chicken, more fried chicken, and greasy (but moist and yummy, albeit salty) rotisserie chicken. It seemed like 75% of the selection available was fried or drowned in grease. The fried okra was over cooked and chewy. The "fresh grilled corn on the cob" was clearly boiled in water. The fresh vegetable selection was lacking and healthy meat options were non existent. What looked like a hockey puck seemed to be some burnt beef of some kind? All in all, I certainly don't feel as if I got $12 worth of food (and I prefer quality over quantity). I left feeling like the kitchen staff just gave up and threw everything in the deep fryer or pot of boiling water or microwave, but I'm not in the back to know what they did. Unfortunately, I think I'm done giving this place its chances.

One of my clients love to eat here so I met him here for lunch. The food was mostly cold and tasted like it came out of a can but salads are a little better and some items are ok I guess you have the freedom to choose and try till you'll find something you like. What bothered me most was the floor that was a bit sticky. Overall not my go to spot but if you are on a budget it might work out on those days you don't feel like cooking.

With the exception of the jumbo shrimp, rotisserie chicken and red mashed potatoes, most of the food being served on their hot food bars were luke warm at best, definitely within the unsafe, dangerous/hazardous temp range, an invitation for food poisoning. #1 - Golden Corral cooks couldn't prep nor cook food properly to save their lives. #2 - Most of the food looked old and greasy #3 - Salad ingredients appeared old and wilted, and were slimy (esp the cucumbers) #4 - Lemon cake containing anise tasted awful, a truly horrible combination of flavors #5 - While the ice cream was good (likely because it is not made in house!), many of the deserts were stale especially the macaroons, rice krispy bars, and cakes (except the carrot cake). #6 - The display pictures showed: 6oz sirloin steaks, but in actuality were 2-3oz and looked like scraps 1/2" slices of prime rib, but were cut paper thin - 1/4" The steak tagsticks that stated m.rare were well done; those that were marked rare were medium. #7 - The russet mashed potatoes had chunks of undercooked potato within. Eat herein at your own peril...

When my kids were smaller I used to go here a lot. Which is a perfect example of why my memory is not what it used to be. I had forgotten about the "ambiance" and feeling like I needed to take a shower after I left. There are plenty of choices.... too many in fact. It's almost impossible to: A. make your choice B: fight the crowd and get the better stuff before it's all gone. For the most part, they keep it well-stocked. Keep in mind, like I said above, what doesn't get restocked is the stuff no one is eating so some stuff is fresh and some is not. I had one of the sliders from the buffet. The bread was nice and fresh and the burger was nicely cooked, hot and juicy. That was really the only positive thing for me. The place is filled with seniors and families with small children. If that's your scene, have at it. I am certain that Golden Corral has it's place in the, ahem, culinary world. Just not mine.

For a local, reasonable priced buffet in Tucson, Golden Corral does a great job of satisfying a wide variety of hungers. My husband and I went to lunch there today (Needed a break from our previous 4 days of low carbing - it's so hard!!) and it was delicious! The service was good, too, as everyone was very polite in wishing us a good day and making sure we had what we needed. As usual, there was a nice selection of food out, ranging from house made pizza (decent) to mashed potatoes (yummy) to fresh fruit (always tasty) to an assortment of Mexican fare (nice American-style Mexican food, if that makes sense). Everything that I sampled was delicious, though I'd have to say my all time favorite offerings are the yeast rolls, the mashed potatoes and brown gravy, the warm chocolate lava cake, the banana cream pudding, and... I can't recall what else I've had more than once at this establishment. I'm really a dessert fiend deep in my heart and find that their chocolate waterfall with strawberries, macaroons, and rice crispy treats to dip into it, along with their soft serve and toppings and chocolate cake and brownies and carrot cake and traditional ice cream and pies do not disappoint! I have a grand old time on every occasion where I stand face to face with that sugar laden amusement park of my dreams. I'm sure that I easily consumed 1,000+ calories and far too much sodium for one girl during our 30 minute lunch, but I must say (in a deep voice)... WORTH IT! We also got a souvenir on our way out - fresh spun cotton candy on a stick! If you ever go to a fair or amusement park and need a quick snack, cotton candy is always a wise choice based on the fact that it has been scientifically proven to have far less calories and fat, despite being pure sugar, than any other fair type offering available. Unless you get a pickle. But who gets a pickle? Weirdos. That's who.

Not bad. Not good. Just meh. Alright price. Lame selection in food, but the food that I tried was pretty good. Great mashed potatoes. However, the cheese pizza was HORRENDOUS. I took a bite and spit it into my napkin right way. The music playing was very strange (Rihanna?!) nice employees. The guy waiting on my bf and me (Edgar) was REALLY nice and not in a fake way. My experience was alright, but I'd be totally fine with my life if I never went there again.

This Golden Corral is my favorite of the 3 here in Tucson. I went for their breakfast Sunday and found everything to be delicious. The selections of meats was good. I did not have an omelet made to taste, I chose the usual scrambled eggs. I recommend trying to be as early as possible because the "after church" crowd floods the place - if you enjoy a crown then wait until around 9:30AM or later!!! I take advantage of their Seniors Early Bird quite frequently. It is between 2 and 4PM and the price is very reasonable and includes the beverage. I have never been disappointed with any of their foods during this time frame, they are switching from their lunch menu to the dinner menu. My favorite (and until I started my diet a couple months ago) is the home made mashed potatoes -- I can eat all they can make!!! I enjoy the pot roasts and fish and rice. Of course the salads are as good as you want to make 'em!!! I have noticed some complaints about their Steaks -- this is not a "Steak House" -- it is a Buffet. If you are a steak CONNOISSEUR I recommend Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse, pay the price and you will get a steak to your liking!!!

I know some people are not a fan of Golden Corral and I myself am not a fan of buffets in general but, Golden Corral is the exception and my guilty pleasure. Went there yesterday for a holiday party and you can't beat the price. There was a taco bar, including nachos, a pizza section, sliders (so good!), chicken, French fries, and the usual buffet selections. The bread is delicious. And last but not least - the dessert bar. Chocolate fountain, cake, cupcakes, ice cream, and cotton candy! Our service was very good - server came by regularly and cleared our plates, and offered soda refills.

What else can I say about this place other than I love it! This particular Golden Corral used to have giant sausage links on the grill which I didn't see last time I was here but those are awesome. I love that they have healthy alternatives like steamed broccoli and a nice salad bar to go with a steak. The servers here are very polite and on top of their game which means a lot to me if I'm there with my nephews. The kids really like the chocolate fountain and I don't have to worry about cleaning up the chocolate mess. Fun at Golden Corral's expense, just make sure you leave a nice tip if the kids make too much of a mess!

My wife and I have gone here before this time was the worst ever. All the hot food was below 100 degrees (should be 140-145 degrees). For that reason alone I will never go back. I commend Golden Corral for their free meals to Veterans on Veterans day, but I'm going to tell all the veterans that I know of which I am one not to go because it might be their last meal.

We went here for breakfast, just me and my girls and it was excellent and the pricing wasn't bad either. I thought there breakfast was awesome. I hadn't been to a Golden Corral since I left Colorado over 11 years ago. This place is great and the employees were very nice and pleasant. BTW, breakfast was not crowded at all, now I haven't been here for lunch or dinner and I hear it can get pretty up close and personal. Great Experience...

This is one of my favorite buffets in Tucson. This type of eatery is a rare thing for me. However, when in the mood for all you can eat. This is a great place. The service is decent. The waiters/waitresses get your refills for you. The food selection is good. The bread pudding is very yummy. Great place for groups of folks that just want to chow down.

We look forward to the Early Bird Special at the 22nd Street location because the Cashier Cara always greets us and makes us feel welcome. The wide selection of food is good and the prices are reasonable.

My Dad loves this place so we always go when we're visiting him. The food is delicious and piping hot. Our only problem is making sure we control how much food we eat here and picking healthy dishes. You can't get better tasting food or choice of food at this price any place else.

one word: ghetto! i really don't know why my mother in law wanted to come here for mother's day dinner. i felt that mother's day anything should be special and nice. this wasn't. well, as soon as we walked in, it pretty much set the tone for the entire experience. i got a tray and my soda and paid. the price wasn't bad, since it's 'all you can eat'. while in line, my sister in law mentioned that she saw a couple of police officers escorting someone out. we walked with our trays and it just had a very cafeteria-like feel. our party sat towards the back section where there were some other families. i got up to look at what my options were. a lot of the pans were empty and didn't look like they were going to be refilled any time soon. some of the choices looked gross and the fact that there were so many people almost made me not want to eat. i wasn't sure whose bacteria i would be ingesting. on my way back to my seat, (and this is a separate instance) i saw a man get arrested and his wife and daughter walk out crying. anyway, happy mother's day. hahahahahaha. NEVER AGAIN.

I did not enjoy my time at the Golden Corral at all ! The food was ok. Nothing over the top but it was descent. I did not enjoy the atmosphere of the place at all though! Children were running around unattended by parents. None of the workers said anything. Some adults were very obnoxious as well. Some things you cant control and I understand that. But in all honesty it looked and felt like I was in a zoo with a bunch of loose animals running around :( I've gone a couple times to give them a chance and every time I've been disappointed.

%95 of the food was good here. And this is a buffet with plenty variety. The atmosphere was comfortable FOR ME. There were tons of senior citizens and the lady behind me in line(before the buffet. waiting to pay) joked and said "look you're the only young one here!" but everyone was real nice and the waiter kept my table clean fast. The food is constantly being refilled BEFORE it's gone. So everything was fresh and no entree's were empty. All the food was delicious and made me want more but I kept switching it up to give me a chance to try more variety. You gotta try the sliders, they were awesome had some with fries and onion rings, I almost feel like going back and just eating those until they're all gone haha. The beef is constantly being cooked and sandwiched so they're always juicy and hot off the grill with melting cheese and warm bread. I had some BBQ chicken which was just great, again fresh food makes a big difference, not like some buffets were the food tastes like it was popped out of a microwave, here it tasted like it was just cooked a minute ago, the same feeling you get at a barbecue party. The bread bar they have has a delicious variety of warn soft dinner rolls and biscuits with cheese. It's just awesome getting hungry just remembering it! The only thing I didn't like was the meat loaf, it was just a slab of greasy beef with no flavor and was my only disappointment. I also got the feeling that it was the oldest item at the buffet. I was ready to give this restaurant 5 stars until I ate this taste-less meat. :( I did not try any salad or dessert but the actual dishes of meat, potatoes, fries, burger sliders and chicken were very tasty!! Will go back for the price!

This place gets packed with people for both lunch and dinner. The place costs around $8.00 per person (for dinner at least) and they have a big selection compared to other buffets I have been to. They do give discounts to government personnel (I am not sure about seniors or vets). There is no orderly line at the buffet and I have had people reach over my shoulder to scoop food onto their plate from the buffet. Very disorderly. The staff keeps an eye on the food so it doesn't fun out. I have never become sick from the food hear even if some dishes get a little dried out after sitting out for so long. If you are not comfortable about being in crowds then you won't like the seating arrangements (It gets loud and people push chairs while walking by your table). You will be assigned a drink server and they are responsible for refills only. There will be a card on your table with their name on it in case they forget about you and you need to call out to them for a refill.

Good place to take your kids if you want them to have a variety to choose from. They also have a great assortment of deserts for those who still have a high metabolism.

This place is so awesome, especially for families with picky eaters! I don't know why people expect filet mignon and lobster at this price point--10 bucks? Come on. Where else can you get soup, salad, breads, entrees, sides, and desserts for such a small price? The only challenge is limiting yourself so you're not full for days afterward.
