What a great service, it does make a difference when you get a good sever. The food is always good, and the facilities are half way decent but when you get great service from a good server it makes a world of difference. Our server was great, it was my family member b-day, a 7 year old boy- and he went above and behond by doing a nice little custom cake, and getting everyone to sing happy b-day.

Golden Corral Buffet? ...Yes! We wanted to grab a bite for breakfast somewhere close by the house. A Golden Corral just north of the intersection of Midvale Park and Valencia - (6385 S. Midvale Park to be perfectly accurate.) filled the bill. We'd been there before, and it was just "ok, "nothing to write home about so to speak. I know: there are those who dislike buffets no matter what, and I understand that. But there were never any major issues, nor disappointments with this particular establishment, and the staff, for the most part were amicable. On this particular morning, however, something was different. Just walking in the door, the whole atmosphere of the place was somehow changed. After getting our trays at the front counter, the friendly folks pouring sodas and coffee greeted us warmly as did the cashier. They all had big smiles, and seemed genuinely glad to see us, as well as the next few customers coming through the door. After seating ourselves, my husband went off to fill his plate, and I chatted up our server who introduced herself as "Wendy." This young lady made sure we had everything we needed at all times. She moved with efficiency and purpose throughout her entire section, with a big smile or kind word for all the patrons there. I mentioned that she seemed happy in her work, and she cheerfully stated: "I love my job, and I l enjoy working here!" My husband came back to the table with a loaded plate and said: "You should see the selections; they look and smell terrific, and absolutely fresh." As I walked past the grill, the chefs were doing their thing, and I noticed they were smiling. One of them was humming as he performed his job with the practiced hand of someone who not only knows what he's doing, but is enjoying doing it. I loaded up my own plate and headed back to the table. Wow. Everything I put my fork to was absolutely delicious, fresh and flavorful. I never reached for the salt or pepper as the food was perfectly seasoned. There's not enough room here to list everything on the buffet, plus offerings change regularly. Even though my husband and I went back twice that day, we still didn't get to try everything. Wendy came to clear our plates just before we left. She asked if everything was satisfactory, and we told her "Oh yes, and we've noticed something's changed here." "The food is great, the place is spotless, and everyone on staff seems happy." "What's more, we can't wait to try this place again for dinner." "There's a certain, palpable "energy" about the place not present on former visits." She told us that it was under new management, the man's name is Peter, and he was a joy to work for. Well, from what I've seen, tasted and experienced here, he's turned things around completely. Going back for dinner shortly thereafter, the experience was the same...fresh, tasty food, caring, friendly staff and Peter the manager was bustling about the place, with a warm smile for customers and staff. Lately when we drive past, the place is always busy. Glad to see this restaurant doing well. If you haven't been to, nor tried this particular Golden Corral in awhile, stop in. You'll be glad you did...honest.

I've been to one, once, this location. Food was terrible, pre packaged-tasting and bland. Enough to make me bypass all other locations from then on. Not worth trying to find out if this was a fluke or not.

Haven't been here for a while. Nothing like it was before. =( Came here after my son's football game expecting to pig out a little. He was hungry and I myself didn't have any breakfast, so I was starving too! I kinda like buffets in general because there is always something for anyone. I have picky kids, so if my daughter just wants mac n cheese and dessert, she'll get it. All the while my son and I get our steak or seafood fix. =) It was a little after noon when we got there. When we arrived, there was no line to pay, so we got a table right away. I was anxious to get some food, so away we went to the buffet... Was disappointed at the get go. It was "Prime Rib & Shrimp Weekend". So there should've been an abundance of prime rib and shrimp right? Well, I basically got one of the last pieces of prime rib, which may have been out for a while, cause it was so dry! Even the au jus sauce didn't help it. However, the shrimp was good. Shrimp pieces were good size. Luckily I got some of the pot roast which I absolutely loved with some veggies (potatoes & carrots). Oh, and their dinner rolls are actually pretty yummy. (That's one thing that has not changed one bit!) After I finished that plate, I decided to go back to see if they refilled anything, but they didn't. There was no meat left at the pot roast station, and the prime rib was no more either. Wth? So since I was up there, just got a few more pieces of shrimp and fries. I was done. So disappointed. On top of it all, our waiter refilled our drinks only twice. Being that we were out at my son's game all morning we were pretty thirsty, so the first drink went quick. We waited forever for the first refill! Then after we gotten our food and ate a little, our drinks were empty again. We waited again! Ugh. I don't like to complain, so we just left dissatisfied. Sorry, but I don't think I'd be back anytime soon. On the plus side, my daughter loved the cotton candy station. I admit, I did like that.

This place is not like any other golden corral. The usual golden corral is decent. This place has bad buffet service the buffet is empty and when I asked if they were gonna refill the buffet they told me "well what do you want" that is horrible. They cannot cook steak to order to save thier lives. I like my steak rare. They grab a piece that's been sitting there thats pushing mid well cut it and ask if that's good. Its like they don't understand what's the point of having a grill if your gonna push out all the steaks well done. Service is substandard. I had to grab another waiter to refill my drink. In fact I even went and refilled it myself. I did not leave a tip needless to say. Its obvious this place doesn't care about thier customers. If you wsnt a good golden corral go to the one on thornydale. That one is the best with a great full buffet that is well attended to. Unfortunately I live close to this lousy place. I used to come here often but its not even last resort. I would rather go home and eat cold cereal and save my money. Not to mention that they raised thier pricez because now they added ribs, don't go there because you will have to beg them to refill the buffet. Dont waste you money.

Never to return. $26 for my daughter and I (senior rate) on a Saturday. We just missed breakfast and they were serving lunch. Horrible food with no flavor. So disappointing....never to return.
