Very good burgers! ... In a bar, in a barn, on a dirt road, in a teeny town. Hey, man, for my money that's a find. And the waitresses are super-nice, too.

Eaten at Fred's many times but this time got a sausage pizza after getting a pepperoni pizza. Did not like the sausage pizza tried to send it back in because we had eaten a few pieces of it, five people are partying each one had a piece it's actually a large pizza cut into squares so more than half of it was still there none of us liked it and wanted to send it back and they said no. They charge just for a half a pizza because we had eaten some of it we had not eaten half of it. Did not want it for free I just wanted them to make a different pizza. It's hard to believe that they don't have concern for the customer I've never been in a place that doesn't want to make a customer happy. I used to recommend the place always but now I would not recommend it at all. The server she did her best but management didn't care.

We live about 2 miles away from this place so we thought we'd try it, the food was ok had to wait a long time for drinks food etc while the 'regulars" we're served before us, all the while we were given dirty looks and stares, I honestly think it was because my husband was the only Mexican man in that place, we will not be going back!!!

You have to try the thin crust pizza. They have this secret recipe crunchy topping that really makes it unique and tasty. Fred makes the sausages from scratch himself.

I was taken to Fred's for the first time about 4 years ago. It is located off large main road but there is absolutely no advertising anywhere. If you do not know Fred's exists, you would never be able to find it. Drive down this well maintained dirt road and one starts to see tractors, wagons, and a large place that looks like an old saloon. I can only imagine how great the place possibly looked 20 years ago. Birds from Mexico flock to Fred's.. and sometimes you can eat with horses walking aorund you. The idea and theme have so much potential. The view is great.. however.. over the past 4 years we have visited them a few times and every time we go.. the food is worse, the portions smaller, and the place more run down and filthy. We just got back from having breakfast. I don't think the menus had been wiped down in months. Just like last time, when you go to sit outside, the tables have not even been wiped down from the day before. There are a good dozen tables out there and we could not find a clean one. There was no one else there, this was at like 8 am.. all these tables were filthy from the day before. It is one thing to have to wipe them down due to dust, but if the staff is too lazy to wipe down the sugar, grease, cigarette ashes, etc from the night before to prepare for the day.. something is seriously wrong. The place looks like it is deteriorating before the eyes. For some reason someone thought it would be great to invest in cheesy Indian statues, but their ceiling fans are drooping & missing blades. Their tables and chairs are not rustic, western, or have any retro charm. They look like someone went to a few garage sales and found these thrown in a dumpster out back. There is a small fountain with broken concrete statues, trees growing under the edge of the building that have no where to go.. picnic tables too worn out to use, etc. The food.. "home fries" means 6 tiny 5" over cooked potato wedges. "Ham" means a tiny slab of gristly, over cooked and toughed meat that is to resemble ham. It is heart breaking that this is happening and I have held back from writing a bad review hoping my couple of experiences would change,.. but no luck.

Heard great things about this place so decide to give it a try. The restaurant interior is very outdated and a bit dirty. Service was great and friendly, but only one waiter working and waited for about 15mins for bill. Swamp coolers and fans try to keep place cool but as people started showing it became a bit uncomfortable. Now the food, chicken wings, fries, onion rings, salad all from

We have been to Fred"s a couple of times now and find it very consistent. I always order the the top sirloin with the butterfly shrimp and it's delicious! They make great cocktails and have great service. The place is way out in South Tucson, has a road house feel with a open mesquite grill in the middle of the dining room. Great meat, food and service...worth a drive about 25 minutes from Old Tucson.
