This is the most chill place in Tucson to get fish tacos and beer in a relaxed setting. They have their own brew, a tasty ale, and the fresh seafood to go along with it. Highly recommend the prickly-pear calamari as a starter. Beautiful views of the Catalina Mountains from the bar and patio. I live close-ish, and plan on making this THE spot I've been waiting for to go and unwind after a hard day.

Service was slow and the food was not worth the wait. The chicken taco was extremely bland no flavor. Everything on the menu is a la carte. Don't waste your time waiting. This place could be a cute place to hang out with friends but it needs a lot of work on the service and food. They also need to add a signature drink menu and get away from the a la carte food.

Better food than a dive bar but not by much. I had the tacos and they were... Edible. Would not eat here again.

Love it here, we are here all the time. Tacos are great, try the pongahs, pretty much anything on the menu is awesome :)

Great place. Jimmy Buffett type vibe without overdoing it. GREAT food (and I'm a bit of a food snob). Best fish 'n chips I've had in Tucson. The wine list is a bit lacking though (and the house red is not good at all). Nice outdoor seating and great mountain view.

One of the most outstanding views in Tucson! It's not four star dining and does have some growing pains only being open for a couple weeks so far but it takes the flip-flop lifestyle to an all-star level. It has a constantly improving and unique menu to go along with an amazing atmosphere and very friendly staff. Definitely check it out!

It's fantastic to see a great new restaurant in the foot hills. I was really hoping I would not see the same bar and grill food, you know potato skins mozzarella sticks and the like. The menu is amazing! I had the oysters encinada which has chorizo, caramelized onions and some sort of creme fresche? Any way what a great appetizer, not fried. The cevice was also top notch fresh seafood, very refreshing and the portion size was enough to share with 4 people. The pongas are hearts of romaine hollowed out on fill with fresh grilled carne asada or salmon, or Alaskan cod. They serve them with charro beans or vegetarian black beans. The tap selection was great except for the bud and bud light taking up valuable handle space. The atmosphere was bright and clean with great views on the Catalina mountains, I love the flip flop door handles.A beach bar in the desert, who knew. Service was attentive and unpretentious. Our sever knew all aspects of the menu which is unusual in a new restaurant, great job on training!

My husband would be upset with me for giving Fini's only 4 stars, but I just can't do it. The location is nice. The food, however, is just OK - nothing bad about it, but nothing I would ever have a craving for. Good selection of items on the menu, so everyone can find something here. Happy Hour is pretty good, with both drink and food specials. I do have to give 5 stars to their key lime pie, though - best in Tucson that we have found. Very tart, no excess fluff on top, and a not-too-sweet granola-based crust. However, the server told us that it's not made in-house, but Fini's still gets extra points for choosing such a good pie to serve.

Fini's makes me miss the fact that I moved away from the foothills and out-of-state before it opened. I thought I was taking my mom to an Italian place during a recent visit and was a bit hesitant when I drove up and saw it but we decided to go in anyway and I'm OH so glad I did! There was nothing about this place that I didn't absolutely love. The atmosphere was spot on; beachy casual with some great decor and the menu was filled with all the things I absolutely love! I would love to taste test everything especially based on the other reviews. We happened to be there on a Tuesday so went for the dollar tacos and margaritas. Pretty generic order given the expansive menu but I certainly wasn't disappointed. The tacos were amazing! Street taco more in nature which is what I prefer. I'm really looking forward to a trip back so that I can return to Fini's and get some of the more eclectic, hard-to-get menu items that they offer. Great find!!

Came here on a Wednesday and it was pretty packed. It caters to the older crowd on the north side of town, but a unique beach-bar setting--think classier Kon Tiki. Good happy hour specials. But the food is pretty bland. Our group split the salsa trio--no spice to either the salsa or mango salsa, and no flavor to the guacamole. The roasted corn on the cob should've been a highlight, but also just tasted like cold corn with no flavor to the aioli or queso fresco. Fish taco was okay, a little greasy, like they didn't remove the excess oil after frying the fish. Their house beer is a little on the sweet side, but very drinkable with bar food. Our server was friendly and prompt and we filled up pretty well for $15. Might try again if I'm in the vicinity.

In a town that has a million and one tacos offered for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you should take the time to come check out Fini's Landing. They have their own house-made sauce (Chubasco) which is fantastic. My personal favorite is the Habanero version - medium spicy (for me, I have a high spice tolerance) and VERY flavorful. It's fantastic on whatever you happen to put it on. I've tried quite a few of their dishes, and they are consistent and produce great food each time. The La Paz fish taco is something I tend to order almost every time I've been here. Great little fried fish, tasty pico, and some yummy mayo-based sauce on top with a squeeze of lime and delicious with a TON of the Chubasco hot sauce. The San Juanico fish taco is terrific with a pineapple based salsa. I've also tried a grilled fish taco (decent) and their black bean taco with the pineapple salsa (awesome for vegetarians). I've also sampled their wings with the traditional buffalo hot sauce - they were surprisingly great. The skin was crisp and the meat was nice and tender. The buffalo hot sauce was more flavorful than hot but it was a very solid wing. We've also tried their Landing Nachos and the Loaded french fries which are pretty much nachos only on fries. Their guacamole is solid, and the pico has a good balance with the savory and acidity aspect. The servings are large for these two items. My husband has tried a couple of the burgers, which are always cooked to temp correctly and he says they are solid burgers. He's also tried the fish sandwich and really enjoyed that. I've tried, for their lighter fare, a couple of their salads, and they used fresh ingredients. They offer their salads in half and full sizes which is great - I typically am good to go with the half size. One of their best dressings is a house made one - the vinaigrette is flavorful and delicious. Service can be hit or miss - typically it's on the more solid side, but sometimes it can be a little spotty. That tends to be when it is filled to capacity so do take that with a grain of salt. Check them out on their Taco Tuesdays - tacos and Mexican beers are on special. In a town that has a million tacos, these are definitely great and worth checking out!

I find Fini's to be a very unique scene for the North side of town. Alongside the high class and trendy places along sunrise, this surf-style dive offers a different feel. C and I went their on a whim on a weekday and were surprised when we walked in. This beach-bum decor was eclectic and the bar is shaped like a boat. Their menu was uniquely crafted and their beer list was pretty great! C ordered their hot dogs and I got one bean and guac taco (no cheese) taco and one "panga". I am unsure if a panga is something unique to Fini's, but imagine a taco, but instead of a tortilla you have a grilled half-head of romaine. Pretty cool concept! Their food was good and they were open late. Fini's nearly lost a star for poor service on our first visit. The bartender periodically sat at a nearby table and checked her phone and never had menus or anything readily available. We were one of 5 guests in the place and seemed like a pretty big inconvenience. I am happy to report though that we sat at a table 2 Tuesdays later (half priced tacos on Tuesday!) and received amazing service from Stevie! I am glad we got to be served by her before I gave this plave 4 stars. Good save, Fini's!

Just had a great time at Fini's. Taco Tuesday is not just a rumor. Great service. Nice patio with mountain views. Excellent tacos and drinks. See you next week. Oh, and did I mention the hot sauce? Chubasco!

I've been on the hunt for another place to fill my crazy taco addiction. I found heaven "Finis Landing" this hidden gem is worth the drive from my place. Must tries the dockside Ceviche and Jamaican Jerked Chicken. My buddy ordered a Gulf Stream Sandwich, I tried and it was loaded with different flavors (in a good way) But it tasted nothing like my tacos. The place was very busy it had a nice vibe and the architecture is amazing especially the awesome bar that is shaped like a boat. 5 starts to staff did a wonderful job in getting our orders out on time and being very attentive. Will be back to try all the tacos on Menu!

Lots of great offerings on the menu; choices to suit every taste, hankering, or lifestyle of eating. We stopped in after swimming with friends for a few hours, looking for a quick lunch with our kids (9, 7, 5). The atmosphere is fantastic, there are plenty of tables with a great decor in the restaurant. The bar is a really cool ships hull with swiveling chairs (a just have for game night watching on the various screens. Upon arrival we asked for them to switch one of the TVs to the Red Sox game and they were happy to comply. Winners in my book! We started with an appetizer of the smoked salmon dip, and it was awesome. It comes with toasted bread and cucumber to dip. We ate every morsel. Based on that appetizer order we had high expectations for the tacos, which are on an a la cart ordering option. We tried the scallop ceviche taco and the smoky BBQ chicken taco with mango salsa. They were ok; Not fantastic, and kind of a letdown after the great salmon dip. My three kids each ordered the macaroni and cheese, and I'm pretty sure they were serve a full box of Kraft macaroni and cheese. I don't mind we have to servings, but at five dollars a plate I could've bought 15 boxes at the grocery store for the exact same thing. When we order macaroni and cheese in a restaurant I'm kind of hoping for something a little more than Kraft. In addition he ordering was a little bit confusing for the kids and my daughter ended up ordering macaroni and cheese and a hotdog and a soda stream which equated to a $50 order for her . We also had one drink each, my husband ordered a Mojito and I had a Russian Mule. I'm pretty well-versed in both and my husband was not impressed with him like you too but we were both impressed with the Mule, and it was served in a copper mug. On all our bill came to $55, $65 after tip. It's a deal for a family of five and I would definitely come back, with a new plan for ordering for the kids.

Thank you Finis Landing for turning a mishap into a great evening. Went to celebrate St Patrick's Day at "the perfect place". The place was packed when we arrived at 5:40 for our 6 o'clock reservation for 10 people. Unfortunately there was no spot for us so the owner bent over backwards to apologize and brought us a round of complimentary drinks. When a half hour passed and still no table he brought us another round of drinks. Once seated the food was delicious and service excellent. What a great way to win loyal customers and have us spread the good word. Thanks again. No wonder you have such crowds!

They're a three star place. Nothing wrong with that. Got a not-good bloody mary and waited for my friend, Sienna. I sat in a booth and told the waitress that she (sienna) was arriving in 5 minutes, which she did. I guess there was some mix up where the waitress thought the bartender was going to be our server, so we waited a long time to get served. The waitress seemed peeved with - the bartender i think. I get it. When I asked what prickly pear sauce is, she replied "do you know what a prickly pear is?" I said "yes" (duh) and she said "it comes from that." That was unbelievably helpful. I felt I could taste the prickly pear sauce with that description alone. Anyway, we ordered and our food took a while. There were one or two other small tables. Pretty dead. Then the manager guy came out and apologized for the wait, said they'd just started making our food because the ticket didn't print cause something was up with the machine. Also, I get that. That shit happens. Though, he didn't offer to comp anything, like maybe the fries that cost $4, that don't come with a burger and you get about 10 of them. Anyway, the waitress was friendly and not fake, and the weird service mistakes were honest mistakes. Food was so-so. I hear the fish tacos are good. They didn't charge for the bloody mary, whether purposely or not, I don't know. But that was the waitress's call, so she gets 5 stars. This review is kind of stupid and should get one star.

Place is going downhill. Burgers are sub-par, service is not good at all, and it's too expensive. Not worth it at ALL. There are plenty of better places in Tucson.

Chubasco burger is excellent. Fish tacos are good and they offer a variety of styles. Location is nice as well.

Ok food I guess. Very poor service it took about 45 minutes to screw up my order and then take another half hour to fix it. I am furious and am never coming here again. All I asked for was wings and chips and they didn't even bring me chips I was so upset I went home and cried for three hours straight. If you don't feel like crying all night about not getting your 3 salsa platter and chips then finis landing is not for you...

I kept hearing about this place so I decided to check it out. I'm super picky about tacos and ceviche and I heard this place had them both. I must say I haven't had a meal this good in a while. Everything we had was great. Shrimp tacos, ropa vieja tacos, ceviche and salmon dip were excellent. Service was also very good and the food is well priced. Will definitely come back soon

Fine for a beer if you're not in any rush. Service is pretty bad, mixed drinks are average at best, but more often than not need to be sent back. Food is meh and awfully expensive for "meh." Great if you're local and don't want to drive too far. Just keep your expectations low. Very low.

Fini's is a fun bar in Tucson and very unique. The reason I say that is because it is a beach themed bar who thrives on flaunting their relaxed environment and signature flip-flops all over the bar in the foothills of Tucson. They have a great patio and a nice, big bar. From the patio you can enjoy a beautiful view of the foothills mountains. This place is perfect to sit outside in the Arizona sunshine and soak up the sun and beautiful views with a nice cold beer in your hand. I have had their cheesy fries before and they are delicious, they have a good drink selection. I came for breakfast for the first time recently and was impressed, they have a large menu with lots of unique options on their breakfast menu. I had the breakfast nachos and was stuffed with plenty of leftover afterwards, my boyfriend had the breakfast flatbread and loved it. My boyfriend and Dad had their bloody mary and said they do not recommend it, it was a little bit of an overkill of spices and gross they said. Also-this place is Dog Friendly!

I love going for lunch because it's quiet and the lunch specials are good. I get the Outerbanks and unfortunately it's only available for lunch or I would order it all the time. It's a pulled chicken with habanero sauce...delicious. I've been twice for dinner and been privileged to hear live jazz by the Tony Frank Trio. The burgers are cooked to order and will fill you up. The tacos, salsas, and guac are homemade and some of the best in Tucson. The decor is surfer in the desert. It's very laid back atmosphere and the service is great. There are large garage doors opening on to the patio making for a much larger seating area.

Just went for drinks so I can't speak for the food and only can remark about atmosphere. With coastal nautical decor I imagined myself in a "then and now" episode of Dawson's Creek or a small coastal town hangout for a mature crowd. We had a good time enjoying the live 80s music and watching the now mature "Dawson" attempt to gain the attention of his "Joey" by following her every move and rounds across the bar. Fun to watch and even better story to tell.

This place is the bomb! I don't think there was anything in the menu that I wouldn't try. Had the shrimp tacos which were so good! My wife had the chicken chubasco which was so yummy! What are you waiting for! Get here!

We were staying a few miles down the road and were driving around for places to eat. Fini's caught our eye and we figured we'd give it a shot. When you first walk in the first thing that comes to mind is this place is a DIVE bar. Atmosphere just screams low class food. The service was excellent as was our food! We couldn't had been more surprised by the food. Every plate was licked clean and we learned quickly not to judge this restaurant by its cover.

Nice atmosphere. Nothing else like it in Tucson. Nice views. Customer service sucks. It just seems like a job to these people and nothing more. Food blah. Rubbery tortillas. Meh. Ok, decided to try it one more time. This time the food was much much better and so was the customer service. I bumped up my review from 2 to 4! Ok, went yet once again...but the food was bad once again. It tasted pre packaged and just not good. Service was still good though. After these visits I'm settling on a rating of 3.

Well, we had some drinks and food. I asked for the carne asada tacos. First of all, I'm mexican and I know how a good mexican carne asada taco is supposed to taste. Let me tell you. Let me start with the tortillas, the tortillas were out of the bag, no heated tortillas not even microwaved(soft tortillas) ones. The meat was okay but not enough for the tacos. And the "pico de gallo" was sweet; if you are mexican or Latin, you will know what a pico de gallo taste like. This pico de gallo tasted sweet. Good, but sweet. Pico de gallo it's not sweet at all!! Just saying! Make it work please.

Cool, comfortable vibe goin' on here. It's nice to have a comfortable, laid back restaurant/bar in the foothills where you can sit on the patio and enjoy the evening while nestled up against the Catalinas. Came here after a charity event at Skyline Country Club Saturday night to unwind with a couple of friends. Fini's has a great beer selection and very reasonable prices in my opinion. We ordered a basic cheese quesadilla and the prickly pear wings. Both were tasty and plated nicely. I'd like to come back and try some of their tacos. I remember having one (can't remember exactly what it was. Hey! There was tequila involved...don't judge me) at last year's Tucson Taco Festival and it's time to try a few more. I hope Fini's can stick it out and be around for a while.

I have been to Fini's twice. First time was Taco Tues corn tortillas. Most have a Mango or other sweet additions, and the tacos are pretty good. The Mini Quessadilla is the best value on the menu, along with the Sonoran Hot dog. Chips and salsa are also good. I like this place, as they are dog friendly, and the interior is really well done. I like the vibe and while there were your usually Cougars and Trouts at the bar, there were some younger people there which is a change for Tucson. Servers are nice, and cute as well.

Finis is a great place to go watch a game or catch up with friends. Taco Tuesday is by far my favorite time to go! The fried fish taco called the La Paz is amazing. They have their own brand of salsa and the chubasco habanero is the perfect amount of spicy. All the servers are extremely nice and helpful. Has good choices of beers and cocktails. Overall a great place for late night drinking or coming in with the family. My dad and I have become regulars!

Only the promise of free food will get me through their doors again.... I've eaten at this restaurant two times now. The first time, I didn't find anything on the menu I wanted to eat as it was mostly fishy based and I don't like much seafood. So, I ended up ordering dessert for my dinner and had their molten lava cake. The second time I ate at this place, it was a Saturday afternoon. One thing I HATE about any 'dining out' option is when you're made to feel like the unwanted cousin at a backyard wedding. What I mean is - You walk in and have to seat yourself. So if all the tables in the tiny place are full, then you and your party are left standing by the door looking like idiots. Quite uncomfortable. Another aspect that makes you feel like the unwanted cousin: the service. POOR. Our waiter the first time was 'meh' quality, but our waiter yesterday (if you can call him that) was pretty horrible. He acted completely annoyed and bothered that someone dared to sit in his section. I guess my party should have sat in the Hooters section with the skanky bleached blonde waitress wearing a low cut tank top and yoga pants to work in. At least she gave a nice fake smile. The prices are quite absurd for the quality of the food. If you order a burger, like the people in my party did, you have to also order a side of fries or coleslaw or one of the other 2 options. So, two of us ordered fries, imagining that since a side of fries is priced at a whopping $4, we'd get a butt-load and be able to share among the 3 of us. Boy, were we surprised!! I had 21 measly fries on my plate, and my husband had even fewer than I did. We did order the chips and salsa, and the chips were good, I admit. The salsa was mediocre. Regarding the molten lava cake - Firstly, be careful when reading the dessert descriptions on the menu as they are backwards and that error was obviously overlooked in the haste to get this place up and running. Secondly, the molten lava cake is nearly entirely similar to a dessert you'd find at Applebee's or Chili's, etc., that is popped out of a package, zapped in a microwave, and then plopped on a plate. At least at Applebee's you get ice cream with it. Here, it just sits in the center of the plate as if it's something that can stand on it's own, like it's THAT good. It's not. I would say this venue probably thrills pompous male golfers who think they're the shiznet and want yet another place to go ogle young blondes who aren't their wives while they drink and boast of their power and wealth and scheming. I realize many folks will vehemently disagree with my review on this, however many folks are influenced by an idea more than reality. .

After all the hype, Fini's was ... OK. The atmosphere. Was nothing special, and the food was average. We had the French fry nachos and they were ... OK. Big pile of fries (good), lots of cheese (good), but nothing to take it above OK. The fish tacos wee over priced for what you get - one piece of fish and some topping in a small tortilla. The beer was good. When the bill came and was put on my cc, there was a $20 error. When I showed the server he immediately took care of the problem (good) and attributed it to the computer. Can't say I will run back when the Canyon's Crown is right down the street (Tanque Verde and Sabino Canyon)

My fiancé wanted seafood for father's day so I of course went to help for some help. He was thinking King Fisher or Blue Fin which is right down the street from us. I am not a huge seafood fan so I thought I would do some searching on help and found this new restaurant that we have never tired. Plus it had other food on the menu besides seafood. My fiancé pulled up the website and found out that Andy Hersey plays every Sunday at 5 pm there so he was sold. He really likes his music since he use to hear him a lot of Fridays at Shooters. When we first walked in we weren't sure what to do since there is not a hostess stand and no one greeted us. After about a few minutes looking around and starring down waitresses someone finally said please seat yourself. When we sat down at a table it took a good 3 or 4 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us and it wasn't too busy. Once someone came over they gave us a menu and took our drink order. I ordered one of their tacos which was ok, but if I went back I wouldn't order it again. I had the carne asada taco and it was kind of bland. I also had the chicken tortilla soup which again was just ok. My fiancé ordered a blackened fish taco and a shrimp taco. The shrimp taco was pretty good. My son had the fish and chips. His food was the best out of all of ours. I am sure we will be back since Andy Hersey is there every Sunday and we like to go and listen to live music with our son and it is family restaurant. I will just make sure to order something else next time.

I always go back but this is one of those places that I can't decide if it's great or just good. They are so close to great, just needs to tighten up a little. Great neighborhood spot though it's just out of the way for me, otherwise I would go more. Perfect happy hour or after golf spot. Service is always good and I always find something good or interesting to much on.

They used to have dodgy service and I still believe it's really a toss up every time we go but tonight really blew my mind. They were jam packed with people this Friday at 5:45 and we got excellent, quality service from a lovely waiter with orange red mermaid hair (she reminded me of a mermaid) and from the people who delivered our food. Our waiter was attentive and came to check on us more than what I expected for an extremely busy night. Our food came within 10 minutes or so of ordering it. If you can ever head down on a Friday, I highly recommend you try their bomb-diggity clam chowder. Huge pieces of clam and bacon. Yes, I said bacon. Also, they do doubles! Double double burgers y'all. I got a delicious picture for proof! My husband was feeling adventurous and they delivered with a pat on his back and a "Good luck!". The thing was massive. They also do piña coladas if you ask for it specifically but it wasn't that good. Way too much coconut rum for me, I prefer to taste my pineapple. All in all, I was really happy with the service tonight. Just be prepared to have to yell to your significant other or company. Loud and crowded but great place.

I wish I was blown away by this little spot but sadly I wasn't. I like the casual beachy decor and they have a great selection of beers on tap. However we went in for happy hour and after a few beers some apps and an order of tacos our tab was close to $100 for two and it just didn't seem worth it. The funny part was when a friend found out where I was he was quick to warn us about how fast the tab can climb here but we were still surprised. The coconut shrimp appetizer is a very good size with piping hot crunchy shrimp served with a tasty spicy sweet dipping sauce. The calamari was ok not great. If I'm in the neighborhood I'd stop in again but wouldn't go out of my way.

Our "Dining Trio (mom, my husband and I) set off to Fini's Landing at my mother's request. I didn't even know it existed! But boy, is it popular! We happened to try Fini's on a Sat. night, and it was bustling. We grabbed the last table in the main area. That gave us a great view of what was happening all around us. After eating there, I'd suggest visiting Fini's mainly for sharing drinks and snacks with family or friends. It's a very fun atmosphere -- with an airy dine-in area, a large, irregular-shaped fun bar area, an enclosed porch area and an outdoor seating area. The north wall is all windows and opens up to a great mountain view. On the food front, service was good. The server was very patient, helping my mom figure out what to choose. Gary and I got the Friday special fish fry (one serving, not all you can eat) -- a small basket with 3 pieces of crunchy ?Cod I think (some good white fish), very moist on the inside. It came with fries and a tasty tartar sauce, and very finely shredded coleslaw (excellent flavor and texture to the slaw)l. I thought it was a bit pricey for the size of the serving. Mom ordered two tacos off of the Happy Hour menu, so they were the special price of $2 each, plus an order of Tortenos (not spelling it right -- fried plantains). Those were really unique, served smashed and like round pinwheels, with a little garlic on it. Although this caters to a drinking crowd, I saw plenty of families present. I would come here to meet with friends more than to do any fine dining. I really liked the happy, upbeat energy. I had no idea Fini's existed, but half of the northwest must've been in there the night we visited! Happy Hour is definitely a draw for Fini's -- give it a go yourself!

The view was great but the burger was essentially tasteless and raw. I had to send it back but it still came back partially uncooked. I complained and they apologized, deducted a few dollars, but wasn't good enough. I also waited 10 minutes before I could ask for a glass of water. The new order taking system, where the server inputs the order via iPad, is a mistake. The waitress was busy looking at her iPad and not at her clients. This leaves you feeling ignored and that they are truly not interested in client service. They should stick to paper and pen as this is more natural and will keep the client and server engaged. This small engagement goes a long way in creating the perception of good service. This was my fourth or fifth time at this restaurant but I will not be back.

the husband saw that there was a band he had wanted to see playing at fini's landing on a friday night. so off we went. this place gets packed!! i didn't even know it was there on swan and sunrise, and i've driven by there many, many times. we got a seat on their patio (which allows smoking :/) because the weather was super nice after a summer monsoon. our waitress was very busy, but tended to us as soon as she could. the husband ordered a fish taco. it was $4 for one. just one. just one lonely fish taco. i ordered a cheese burger. it came on chibata bread and it tasted really great but it was $9! no sides included. i ordered onion rings, which were also really good but it was $5 for that. i might consider going back, the the prices are pretty steep. at the end of our dinner, the waitress took forever to come back and collect our payment. thought she had forgotten about us.

Fini's has a lot going for it, but I don't think it gets the accolades it should for their burgers. Fini's has REALLY good burgers. I eat burgers all over the place, but when I think I want a REALLY good burger... the list gets short. There are only a few places that come to mind in Tucson. Throw in ambiance, patio, parking, staff, etc... the list gets even shorter. If you are looking for a hot delicious burger, you should try Fini's Landing. I think I will go back today for another one. YUM! ;-)

Great place for drinks at Happy Hour... Food however.... Not so much. My son had tortilla soup which tasted like a can of Campbell's chicken noodle soup with some tortilla strips thrown in. I had fish tacos.... I ate one and couldn't bear to eat the others. It was more than evident that the fish was frozen and probably for quite some time. We also had the chicken Caesar salad... How can you screw that up? Well, they did... This was our 2nd and last time there...

The food is very good at Fini's. Haven't used the bar too much. Good local beers. Great fish tacos. Also the Chips and Salsa/Guacamole trio is excellent. Its a sports bar, so it can get noisy during popular games.Great place for lunch.

Highly recommend the coconut battered shrimp tacos with the beached ale! Hubby got the fish sandwich and loved it too!!! Nachos were excellent! The only bad part was not having enough room to eat everything that looked good!!! Enjoy! Definitely go for the fish!

Stopped in here for happy hour. This place was packed. Probably due to the lack of semi-casual bars in the area. The street tacos on the happy hour menu are awesome. You can't go wrong. Also, the wings were really good. We sat at a high top in the bar and really good service. Overall, definitely check this place out for happy hour. Would still like to get back and check out the regular menu.

We moved to Tucson almost four weeks ago and have been thrilled with the fabulous restaurants and excellent cuisine in the area--until tonight at Finis's Landing. The dinner at 6:00 pm started out well with attentive service and went way downhill from there as soon as two medium-large groups of six each arrived. We ordered the salsa trio and wings off the happy hour menu as well as drinks and calamari from the regular menu. We had to beg for second drinks and silverware prior to any food arriving. The larger group received their food before us despite our earlier arrival and order. The calamari and the wings were both served cold before the chips and salsa arrived. We sent te calamari back. The second order of calamari was lukewarm. The salsa trio was the worst I have had either in Tucson or even Montana. We live about 1/2 mile from Fini's so this was an especially disappointing dinner experience for the two of us. We will never go back. Despite the apology from the waiter and a "gratis" on the salsa trio, it was not worth the $40 charge. Really disappointing!

For a island themed restaurant renowned for their fish tacos...Fini's brings down the house with it's Torta Cubano! The carnitas are braised in "Beached Ale" by Tucson's own Barrio Brewing Co. then topped with pecan-smoked bacon, Swiss cheese, pickles & cabbage for a flavorful crunch! The Beached Ale sauce on the side is perfect for dunking your fries as well as the sandwich which is served on a grilled beach roll. So good, so out of the ordinary and Katie, the bartender is an absolute doll whose smile and pleasant demeanor will keep me coming back...along with the food and wide selection of local Arizona beers.

I don't want to write a long review on this place just yet! They have only been open a week. I decided to try it today for lunch I knew they were a new place because as soon as I sat myself down five people came up to me to ask me if I have been helped yet. But when I decided to move and sit outside on the patio with my friends no one came to greet us. We must have been waiting for 20 minutes. As for the food I had ordered the prickly pear chicken sandwich, the Chicken was dry and the fries were to peppery tasting. And everything was too salty. But like I said I will try them again and try to write another review, but for now 2 stars are it.

My favorite hangout. The stoked nachos are to die for, great bar, super tacos. The best place to spend time during March madness. Dress is super casual and you can go wrong with their selection of beers.

This place is awesome! I got the Gulf Stream sandwich with fried fish. So good! The chubasco aioli was really good on the sandwich and french fries. The beached ale was a really good beer. The food is top notch, the atmosphere was great, and the service was awesome too. I would highly recommend!

I am going to file this whole experience under - not sure what I thought. The ambiance was what I expected. The decor was not. For being open less than a year, things seemed unkempt. Wobbly tables, dirty windows and, when we entered through the back door, things in the hallway on the floor. When you walk into a place, first impressions are very important. They need to clean some things up. OK... Martha Stewart moment over. Let's talk about food and drink. If I was not sure about things, neither were they. The beer I ordered (HopKnot IPA) was listed at two different prices: $6 on the board above the bar and $5.25 on the menu. Happy hour pricing would save me a buck. I figured I would be charged the higher price so I chose something a little less pricey for my second beer, a lowly lager. I was charged $4 for each beer. GRRRR... I ordered the fish tacos ($2.50 each at happy hour), my wife ordered the BLTA flatbread and we ordered a basket of fries to share. They were handcut and the spicy Chubasco mayo was good, but $5 for fries? The flatbread was very rich. The combination of the lime aioli, bacon, avocado and cheese almost ended up being too rich for my wife to eat. I tasted it and my instantly collapsing arteries agreed with her assessment. The fish tacos were good. The fish was crispy and there was a hint of lime in the pico, which is a must. A dash of the Chubasco sauce they placed on the table added even more kick. I hunt for good fish tacos and, in terms of flavor combination, these are some of the better ones I have had. The wings look imaginative with combinations like coconut/pineapple, pineapple/habañero and even a departure-from-the-beach-theme-decidedly-desert-driven prickly pear. Overall, this place has me intrigued enough about the rest of the menu that I will be back. I just hope they can get their hallway and their pricing cleaned up.

Our experience here was "eh". It wasn't good, it wasn't bad. We got seated right next to the stage where a band was playing and my ears started to hurt, but it was a fun atmosphere. We got the calamari, which was okay but was an extremely small serving for $9. I got two fish tacos and my boyfriend got a burger, which was a nice size but only came with a handful of fries. I laughed at my tacos because they were so tiny, more like street tacos, and they didn't come with anything. For $5 each I felt like it was a major rip off. I ended up eating a snack later because they didn't fill me up at all. Our server was polite but overall we had a pretty dull time and not enough food for the price of our bill.

Terrible service. Waited forever for drinks. And then my food never came until I got up, hunted down the manager and complained. Everyone else finished when my food arrived. And THEN they charged me for it! Skip this place. The food isn't good enough to justify the crappy service.

I popped in last Saturday night and I have to say it has a strong local following. The bartender was out of control but I won't go into detail about that;) There $2 dollar street tacos during happy hour are as good as they get! Great seasoning on the meat! I was impressed! My wife was getting upset with the slow service and the lack of attention to her, which I had no problem with;) She also hated the look of the establishment and she thought it was boring for a Saturday night. I'm still a fan!

Margaritaville chill... That's how I think of Fini's. I love the island feel, and I'm surprised they've gotten a bad rap in some reviews. But try and see Fini's for what it is - a fantastic neighborhood bar, not for what it's not - a gourmet restaurant, and you're not going to be disappointed. My opinion is that we are lucky to have Fini's in the (sometimes agonizingly boring) foothills. I've been to Fini's numerous times, and the casual, island atmosphere with huge picture windows framing gorgeous views of the Catalina mountains is enough for me to hang out and have a relaxing time... Some great sunset viewing can be experienced on their patio. For sports fans, they have numerous TV's with all the latest games going. On Friday nights they have a band (classic rock). The band is actually pretty good, and it's always fun (actually I'm admitting- it's even comical) to watch baby boomers dancing- way past their prime, yet oh so into the groove... Yeah, I can dig it, and how truly nice that they can come here and let loose! I've also been to Fini's for happy hour and Taco Tuesday- both of which are great (the fish tacos are awesome) and a very good value. I can't really recommend Fini's for lunch- had a not so great lunch here once (a dry chicken sandwich with nothing on the side). But I'm going to say it again- the food is sort of secondary here. This place has a happy vibe that pervades throughout, and puts me in an instantly good mood once I pull the brass flip flop door handle. Stepping inside- I can almost hear the echo of Jimmy Buffet crooning, "Living on sponge cake, and watching the sun bake." Bottom line- go to Fini's with the knowledge that you may not end up being wowed by the food. If your expectations are a bit lower, it's quite possible you'll end up being pleasantly surprised. Hopefully the main reason you are going to Fini's is to chill out and have a good time. Don't worry.... be HAPPY- that's the essence of Fini's!

Taco Tuesday is awesome! Great tacos! Shrimp, chicken, BBQ pork. You can't go wrong. Plenty of televisions if you want to catch a game, but, get there early as the parking can get a bit crowded. The service has always been great and they are accommodating to the pickiest of eaters. (On the side, like in Harry met Sally, types). The patio is pet friendly and we often take our two pooches. Always a war welcome.

First, let's call a spade a spade. It's a bar, with great food. It's no's a restaurant with a bar, however, the menu is thoughtfully constructed and well executed by a solid kitchen staff and served by a young, well trained wait crew. Have a taco, any taco and you won't be disappointed but the Chubasco Shrimp and the Ceviche would be a great start. Go on a Tuesday and your taco's are $2.50 each and that's amazing and fantastic at the same time. Their bottled hot sauces are unique and delicious in a sizzling sort of way. Indoor and outdoor seating, lots of TV's, great beer selection, friendly staff and for a bar in the foothills, the marlin, sailfish and Lee Marvin pic's lend to a uniquely Tucson experience.

I don't get it. I felt like I left Fini's with my head cocked to the side like the RCA dog, trying to figure out what everyone thinks is so fantastic about this place. The decor reminds me of a dockside place. It's cute, open air, nautical accents, etc. Our party of 5 was greeted quickly and offered drinks. The menu is a la carte style. Sandwiches, etc don't come with anything on the side. Which might've been okay, but my chicken salad sandwich on ciabatta wasn't all that big and didn't come with so much as a pickle wedge. Nothing else on the plate. And it was fairly small. And it was $7. hrumpf. I ordered the tortilla soup on the side. A cup. A small cup. $4. *double hrumpf* The sandwich was pretty good. Nothing super special. The soup was decent, nothing super special. I walked out of there annoyed at having spent $17 (including tip) for an okay lunch in a strip mall. Meh. I've experienced better.

This is the first time going back to a fairly disappointing first visit when they opened in 2012, Usually once I am not satisfied I don't repeat my first reaction. However, leaving my comfort zone and my innate set ways. We went to a movie with some friends and then made the decision to go back to Fini's because it was a convenience. I'm glad we did. All of us really enjoyed the Taco's on Tuesdays. $2.50 for some of the most delicious tasting tacos. I split the burger that came in second in the Caliente contest and it lived up to it's mark. Very tasty and had a real kick with the jalapenos on it. A little pricy though. $9.00 for just the burger, no fries or any side with it. They have a regular crowd who fills up this place always. It's near my house and I pass the place often and always see the lot is full. The have their regulars who must like the bar scene. Lots of TV's for sports watching with friends and co workers who were enjoying the evening out. It does get a bit noisy but you could still hear the conversations with your friends. They even have a patio area but chose to sit indoors. Very Cape Codish New England decor inside. The view of the Catalina Mountains is also lovely. We'll pop in again being it is so convenient and has a pretty cool menu.

best black bean burger I have ever had....EVER! If you enjoy a vegetarian burger this is your spot! The restaurant itself is a little bit small, but overall, it has a nice feel. My only critique is that for the price of the burgers, they should come with a side.

Went after the rain and had no trouble finding a table. Our waitress was too young, too inexperienced and uninformed. Didn't care the price or what we ordered but wanted a mature overview of the menu and what to try. She couldn't put a sentence together! Quesadilla was amazing, fish taco was good, plantain was obviously old (dropped in the fryer a few times) and nasty. When we told her about the plantain and she asked of she could eat them 'cause she was hungry, and did not offer to take off the bill...we ate ONE! If you're single and want to hook up this is your place. If you want to dine go elsewhere. Will not be returning.

Out of fairness, I didn't order food. I sat at the bar and just ordered a drink. The other reviews suggest this place is filthy and caters only to regulars. I didn't think that it was that dirty. The bar area seemed nice given the theme of the place (beach, surf, seafood, etc). Plenty of TVs all over the place. There did seem to be some regulars there - as several middle aged slightly overweight guys (some with golf hats) called out the average-looking young and uninterested bartenders by name. Bud Light in hand, they were enthralled with whatever was happening on the golf channel. You know, the type of guys that have "Romney" and "NOBama" stickers on their cars.. The house beer was good, as it was brewed by Barrio Brewing Company. Other decent stuff on tap. So, plus / minus.

I was somehow transported back to Key West, and not just by the Warren Buffet-channeling Foothills silver fox and desperate housewives crowd. The menu is heavy on beach tacos done a dozen ways. The Guaymas, with mango salsa and avocado mayo, sported a decent chunk of seasoned snapper, and the others are just as creative. Get the Cuban black beans, a delicious accompaniment which transported me to Fort Zack in Key West. The staff is young, lively, and attentive, and even with a gaggle of centurions glad-handing in their midst, they made us feel like the only table in the place. I hope this kitchen staff sticks around, and I'd like to hear a calypso band here soon so I can get my margaritaville on along with those summery beach tacos.

Yep, 1 star and that's because you can't put a 0. This place is in my hood. And what a welcome addition to the hood - finally a pub! Something open past 8pm! Finally a place to come and sit at the bar, have your server know exactly what you want because you are a local and regular. And pub food - nachos, and fish and chips and beer battered onion rings......... ..........................Wake up. That is a dream. This place is a nightmare................... First, decor - stupid. Just plain stupid. What is it exactly??? I have no idea. But it isn't nice. And it's too bright. Oh my god, it hurts one's eyes. Second, you won't get served. Servers are too busy on their cell phones, talking to each other, making plans for later, talking to their friends, who BTW, come in off the patio, appear under age and get free drinks served immediately. At my last attempt to give them my money, the bartender completely ignored me. I stood at the bar for serveral minutes, right beside him, and was never given a glance.....Isn't this a business? Isn't the object to offer drinks to patrons and have them pay you? Aren't you supposed to take money from people? Isn't that the idea OF A BAR?!?!?!?!? Third, food. Fish tacos. Really? We needed another place in town to get fish tacos? Totally boring menu. But it doesn't matter, this is nothing you will ever have to worry about - you won't get served. Last but not least, they are open past 8pm. That part is true......

Beer - Had a Pipeline Porter on draft which was nice. Had it in a bottle before but never draft. And, as most beer, much better on draft. And other good selections - they had a decent selection. Food - Split the Pineapple Habanero wings, the PCH burger and the Chubasco Fries. Wings were nice - pub fare but kicked up a notch - with kind of a contemporary gourmet touch. I could have just eaten the Chubasco Fries and nothing else - they were that good. Torn away from the fries to try the PCH burger and it was definitely worthy of the local burger competition they are in. Nice avocado slices - I always love that. Service - wellllll - it was okay. (Is ADD contagious? Because it was kind of prevalent.) I would say it is pretty much representative of what the reviews have said. Luckily, we read the reviews so it was EXACTLY as we thought it would be. (Could wipe the bar down between patrons instead of just flicking the crumbs.) Yet I still gave them three stars??!! The bar (and it is a bar) is open and comfy and homey. And the food is really good. But . . . even though I liked it . . . I was waiting for the red hat ladies to come in. Don't get me wrong, I love the red hat ladies but they should have been there. Definitely an older crowd. (And this was 5:00 on Friday.)

The special Chubasco (or something like that) sauce they have here is great! Keep up the great service Finis! :D

All i can say about finis is these people have created such a down to earth and fun atmosphere. We sat at the bar and a really pretty red head and a pretty blonde girl were working. The staff and food made this a great experience and my husband and i will be back for sure!!

Our Tuesday night go-to place. Great outdoor seating, good beer, and good fish tacos. Stick with the tacos and you won't go wrong, other items can be hit or miss. Very good house picante sauce I also applaud that they always have NA beer, so the designated driver doesn't have to drink water and watch everyone else drink beer.

This place is great. Service is tip-top, food is better than good, might be the best happy hour around ($2 oyster shooters $2 street tacos) 4-7pm, as well as late-night 10-12am. Excellent place to watch a game, good beer selection. Don't have clamato. What I wasn't down with was the liberal canines-on-the-patio policy. I hate the whole, look at me, aren't I neato cuz I've got my dog in a bar attitude.I don't smoke but if I did I'd have been cordoned off at Fini's--lower than dogs those smokers. The one beast refused to lay down, probably because the owner kept feeding it tacos, jumping on kids, then when the 2nd showed up it was a barko-rama. What would have been great is if one of them had established a steaming dump in the middle of the patio. That would have made for interesting conversation.CB

Disappointing. My friend, who had just thrown me a bridal shower nearby, and I arrived at Fini's Landing around 10pm on Saturday. We went there because it's really the only bar in her immediate area aside from La Encantata Mall, and she thought they had a classic rock band playing that we could dance to. We were a bit taken aback by the U of A kids on steel drums, but the music was decent, so we stayed. The atmosphere was good initially, and the decor is really fun. We sat and waited at the bar for quite a while, eventually helping ourselves to menus from the hostess stand. When the bartender finally came over to greet us, he commented on the fact that we had been waiting there for about 10 minutes. We politely suggested that it felt more like 5 minutes, and he argued back that we really had been there "for like, 10 minutes." (Really??) We ordered two very mediocre pina coladas (the bartender assured us they were fabulous) and an appetizer of cheese enchiladas to share. My friend really wanted to dance, so she asked someone who looked like an employee (hard to tell who's an employee and who's a patron) to move a table to make room in front of the band, which they did. We both danced a bit, and another couple got up and started dancing, too. Nearly 30 minutes later, our cheese enchiladas arrived. We commented at that point about how long that wait had been (how long does it really take to make two cheese enchiladas and scoop out some condiments??). When we finally got our bill, we were a bit surprised to see that the two drinks and enchiladas were a little more than $25! We asked the bartender if he could do anything about the bill, for the shitty service and mediocre drinks (I make a better pina colada from the grocery store freezer section). He spat back at us that we should pay $25, he would pick up the $0.46, and we wouldn't have to tip him. We were so disgusted we simply walked out. My friend asked to speak to a manager right before we left. She was directed to someone, but told me later after she had gone back another day specifically to talk to a manager, that whoever she'd been directed to was not, in fact, a manager. While I realize this is in the foothills, I've spent FAR less at RA (down the street at La Encantata) and had a FAR better experience. I don't frequent Fini's Landing very much since I live in Vail, and this experience has me feeling happy that this isn't MY neighborhood bar! Business was steady, but by no means was it a packed house. Clearly, there are some serious staffing, training, and attitude issues here.

We love Fini's. It's one of our favorite neighborhood spots to have dinner. The Cobb Salad is delicious, as are the shrimp tacos. My husband enjoys their burgers. It gets a bit noisy at times -- it's always crowded. Still...the wide selection on the menu has something for everyone.

  • Rita P.

We went to Finis last night and the good thing is, we don't need to try that again. My fish & shrimp tacos were very cold, not just not hot and the prickly pear calamari was miniscule in size and very sweet. They don't give you beans or chips as they are ala carte. The place was not really neat and tidy and it was very loud so we sat outside and the view of Catalina's is great. Not a place for foodies or someone looking for atmosphere. Needs work

  • Josh M.

I can't really put my finger on what makes this place so great or why I keep finding myself there at least once a week, but this place has become one of my favorites. The food is good, but more than anything, this is just a great place to go and grab a few drinks and watch the game if you are in the foothills area. Everyone that works here too is just awesome and its hard not to end up on a first name basis with all of them. All of their customers and "regulars" are even awesome. Its probably because of this reason that on more than one occasion, I have swung in for lunch or dinner on the weekend and have found myself there for HOURS at a time... This place might be turning me into an alcoholic. Haha... But definitely fun times.

Fini's is a great neighborhood bar that the Foothills has so desperately needed. Friday nights are off the hook. Standing room only. Fish tacos are awesome. They have a good selection of bands. Great place to watch games on the big screens. Family friendly. And Michael the Bartender is topnotch!

  • Tenney N.

This place is really good. I went there with my teenage son about six weeks ago, on his recommendation. It's a little neighborhood bar and bistro place, with ok views and reasonably nice layout and feel to it. We both had the BLT, which was terrific. The tomato and lettuce were nothing special (not bad though), but the bread was great, the pecan-smoked bacon really delicious, and the chubasco mayo amazing--really hot and with a terrific, unusual taste. All in all, a great sandwich. The mayo was so good that I used it on the fries as well, which were fine. Service fine--nothing special, but perfectly good. So this place isn't especially fancy and hanging out there is nothing amazing, but it's pleasant, and the food was really good. I'll definitely go back.

  • Adam F.

The food was fresh enough to be enjoyable. Tacos were well-prepared and the quesadillas had decent flavor. I'm not a fan of the mostly a la carte menu and would suggest going when it's Happy Hour to get a good deal. The menu is also somewhat small. Everyone seems friendly and appreciates your business. It is modeled off the "Key West" bar-food design. I would beg to differ on some other posts and say its location in a small shopping center slightly takes away from the experience. The place is A-OK, but didn't create a sense of urgency to go back anytime soon.

This review is for the bar. Oh what a bar it is. The bartenders are friendly and quick to fix a drink. They don't shy away from a heavy pour and were fine with a large group last minute on a Tuesday night. The patio is great and breezy and the servers are fairly attentive. I'll definitely be back to sample some of their fare.

This place was popping. I enjoyed the atmosphere - it was beachy and fun. We ordered street tacos off the appetizer menu. They were good, but nothing that I hadn't tasted before. With this place being off my normal path and nothing worth writing home about, I will probably only come back if I am invited.

Good place to watch sports. I had the best omelet of my life here on a Saturday morning. It's a bit overpriced but happy hour is good. Owners are really nice and chill. Service is...fine. It's a little confusing that they are trying to position themselves as a place to watch sports but when we went there during March Madness, the bartender seemed baffled as to what games were happening and how to figure out which channels they were on...sadly, this is common with many places. Ambiance is nice. Food seems good quality.

We ate at Fini's Landing for the first time last night, with not very high expectations. We arrived after 7 pm to see a nearly full restaurant with staff bustling all around. We were seated immediately, and our drink orders taken right away. The menu was a complete surprise - interesting dishes and lots of variety. Our waitress, Kaitlin , was able to answer all of our questions and guide us through some of the more unusual items. We settled on fish tacos done in a couple of different ways, and they came in just a few minutes. The fish was fresh and well prepared, avocado was perfect, guacamole delicious:in general a wonderful surprise in Tucson. We will definitely go back again - in fact it may be our go to place in the foothills. The service could not have been better. The neighborhood feel was very appealing as well.

This place should be so good and it's not. I'd give it one star but I really like some of their food and their margaritas with the prickly pear juice. Actually, I love their margaritas with the prickly pear juice which is the only reason we ever go back. I've been there probably 15 times. The service is TERRIBLE. I've never once had a good server. This is a bar with lots of regulars. Maybe the regulars write the awesome reviews. But for everyone else, the service stinks. The servers spend all their time talking to each other and the regulars. It doesn't matter if you sit at the bar or at a table, you get ignored. It doesn't matter if you go during the day or at night, for football, for one of the musical acts they get, or in the middle of the afternoon when no one is there. They ignore you until they have to deal with you. On top of that, the kitchen is SLOW. We went for Sunday brunch and it took 45 minutes from when we ordered to when we got the food and we were one of 5 tables in the place. On top of it all, the place is dirty. So dirty we no longer order food. If the front of the restaurant is that dirty imagine what the back looks like since no one sees it. It's not uncommon to have to bus a table to sit down. Even if the places empty, all the tables are often full of dirty dishes. Good luck breaking the wait staff away from their chats to clear it for you or bring a cloth to wipe it with. Still, there are few options in this part of town for a casual drink. So, we go back occasionally hoping it's changed. It hasn't yet but maybe it will some day. We find a table, then wait and wait and wait. Eventually someone shows up and takes our order. The margaritas are awesome. The food is good if you can stomach the thought of a dirty kitchen. If you live in the area, it might be worth a stop. If you have to drive more than 5 minutes to get there, it's not.

Went in yesterday for lunch, evidently open only a week or so. Brand new decor, you'd never know the other joint was there (LaRocca's). And, a stunning view of the Catalina Mountains doesn't hurt the room, either! Ordered the build your own burger which was excellent. Service was great. When I requested Tabasco, she brought it and wondered if I would like to try their homemade hot sauce. I did, and it was fantastic! I am a big fan of spicy, and their's definitely delivers. This is a casual place, which is nice to see in the foothills. Very impressive after only one week!!

Snazzy digs, great curio. Shame the mouth goods lacked the same pizazz. Fish tacos were a resounding, "meh". Carnitas was probably the blandest pork I have encountered. Also, what gives with the seven dollar tortilla chips and salsa?! I suggest you sail on to more bountiful harbors - it's time to stop settling for mediocre sea-fare in this desert oasis. Since the advent of the steam engine and refrigeration the playing field has been largely leveled.

I wanted to like this place. Okay, so recently finding out that I cannot have gluten or dairy has made dining out an interesting experience- one that does not happen often. I have been to Fini's twice. The first time I went I told the waitress that I am allergic to both of the aforementioned items and if she could direct me to what I could eat, or could be altered easily -look I worked in the service industry for many years, I get special requests can be difficult but I am very kind about what I need and tip well. She said the tacos were safe without certain sauces (made sense corn tortillas are typically safe). That said, I thought this visit went well except for the entire staff sitting around the bar texting. However, later I felt sick but tried to attribute it to something else. Why is this important? So I go back again, we have a male waiter this time and I tell him what I am allergic to and order what I had last time the tacos. He then informs me that the corn tacos are not gluten free as they are tossed in flour. WTF?!? No wonder I got sick. I think, at least this guy knows so I order the pangas no dairy. Halfway through one of them there is freaking cheese on it!! Once again I left and got sick. Okay, if I was asking for the moon I would get that might be difficult but seriously? Needless to say not going back and the staff was still sitting around not working. Be nice to get paid for nothing.

You have to try the grilled lettuce pockets with black beans and guac. Absolutely heavenly! There's live music on the weekends and it's a fun place to hang out, grab some bevies and enjoy yourself. Not to mention it's in such a pretty area of the Foothills- this place is cool.

It's a fact the hamburgers are great here however do not bother with the fish tacos. A steep price for one 4" inch tortilla with one small piece of fish and 3 shreds of cabbage . No side served with them without an additional charge. Service was mediocre.

Pretty good. I had the BLTA which was pretty awesome. Everyone else seemed pretty satisfied with what they had.

Okay, so this place hasn't been open that long. I'm going to go with the previous reviewer's post that they've only been open a week or so. They DO have a website but nothing up as of yet except saying they're hiring. The service was a bit spotty. We didn't have to wait that long to get our drinks or our orders in but it wasn't that busy and our food took a bit longer then I would expect. We were there on an hour lunch and between that and waiting for the waitress to ring up our checks, we were 20 minutes late back to work. The food was decent. The menu is fairly basic, soups, salads, some appetizers and fish tacos and sandwiches. I got the 2nd sandwich option, which was bacon, cheddar and fried jalepenos. With the sandwiches, you can get a choice of beef patty, chicken breast or grilled salmon. I got the chicken breast, everyone else got burgers. The chicken was a bit dry, but the jalepenos were deliciously spicy. The bread is a yummy chebatta bread, but the chicken patty was about 2/3 the size of the bread. So you have a bit of leftover bread. However the burgers were HUGE so I would definitely get a burger next time. And everyone I asked said the burgers were awesome. The sides are either carrot slaw (from the one person who got it: it tastes like carrots) and fries. Fries are good, just same ol' fries. I'd like to go back and try this place at happy hour and maybe for lunch again after a month or so. Hopefully they'll get their kinks worked out because the building has a nice vibe and the food is pretty good.

Great patio area! The staff is wonderful and the food is probably a 6 out of 10k. I had 2 different types of tacos....the coconut shrimp and a fish with avacado salsa....I picked out the sea food because the avacado salsa had WAY too much cilantro and the shrimp had a mango pineapple salsa that was very over powering...the tortillas were cheap store bought corn tortillas that were hard and tasteless. I will say they have some of the best fries I have every had...YUMMY!

The amazing patio and chill atmosphere at Finis is where its at. They have amazing tacos! Taco Tuesday is a great chance to try a few different tacos and get some mexican beer for $2.50! Doesnt get better than that! They just opened for breakfast on the weekends and they have late night happy hour, this place has a little something for everyone.

Great place! I've been waiting for years for a place like this to open in the foothills. The atmosphere and views are really great. The food is also very good, I highly recommend the blackened fish tacos with pineapple mango salsa. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the prices are more than reasonable.

Based on one visit. Nice door as you enter, the patio and outside decor hint at the inside decor which reveals large northern window view of Pusch & Pontatoc. Nice surf decor and photos esp the pic of San O prior to the NUCULAR plant. Strong beer selection. Our waitress was nice and attentive. The waitresses are what guys term as "hot." The food however. We ordered five different dishes, from fish tacos to tacos to wings (spicy) to soup to salad, all of which were buh-BLAND and did not seem like the best quality; but then - hey, it's really a beer bar when you take a good look and after downing a few de food may taste better.

The burgers at Fini's are phenomenal. I recommend the one with guacamole and pico de gallo. Their happy hour also has some great deals... especially those Tijuana tacos! I used to frequent Skybox, but this place is one notch up in food quality and drink offerings.

I would go back. It was just what I was in the mood for tonight - bar food (but elevated by freshness and flavor) and shared appetizers. Older neighborhood crowd. We didn't say for band.

Met some friends there who recommended this place...nice northern views, great placement of big screen TVs to watch the Wildcats. Went immediately for the oysters from the Gulf...very, very sweet and delicious...could have used full size crackers. Had the Grilled chicken sandwich...5 stars on that one!! Overall, very nice and will return.

Excellent tasty and plentiful $2.50 fish taco, $2 street taco (ropa veija) along with the trio of salas and chips with a $5 beer (ok they could reduce beer prices a bit during happy hour and i would have had another one)... two of us ate during happy hour for $22 with tip/tax! this is the kind of local neighborhoody joint we need more of in Tucson! Thank you :) We will be back.

This key west / Mexican themed bar-restaurant is alright. Nothing too special about it. The food is pretty good. Nothing special about the menu. This is the type of place that you would go for happy hour during the week. Not a place that you would be destined to go to on the weekends.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
