Meh. I came here with my running club, so there were about 20 of us. Only my friend and I wanted food, everyone else got pitchers of beer and went on their way. As for the service, the waitress never came to our table, we had to go to the bar seating to get her attention and even then we had to wave our hands infront of her to get her attention. The food is cheap and mediocre but your not here for good eating. They have cheap pitches, pool tables, and lots of space for groups.

Its a good place to grab a bite and a brew or two, the menu is nothing fancy but all your bar food standards are there and its pretty good quality. The staff is quite attentive and friendly. Lets not forget Buzz Time Trivia, they have it and I play it.

The service and drinks are good, not the cook. I went around 3pm and ordered a cheese burger. It wasn't too bad except the grease soaked the bottom bun. The fries were awful, they were like double cooked in oil, a dark soggy brown and had almost like a soapy aftertaste. After that I feared the pickle. I will not return for the food.

I've eaten at Famous Sams (all of them) many time over the years, this one more so because of its location. My standard order is the Pastrami or Club sandwich, Ruebens are usually pretty good too. They are mostly very solid consistently good sandwiches so I return.. What prompted me to write a review finally is the hamburger I had yesterday at this location. Was wanting a burger so I ordered the Spicy Blue Cheeseburger med rare and that is exactly what I got - along with FRESH hand formed burger (you read that right not frozen, cooked perfectly a delicious brioche bun, Blue cheese, bacon and some spicy peppers. Easily on par with Monkey Burger, and yes Zinburger. It was that good. Now the trick is going to be what will happen next time? If they can keep this level of quality in their burger offerings, I will be a huge fan!

Besides not having any real dessert, the place was not to shabby! Went on a Wednesday night because the Golden Nugget was a little crowded and Famous Sams is really the only other place to find Karaoke on a Wednesday and my friend wanted to sing her heart out. The inside was clean, the bartender was friendly and the DJ was fun and in a good mood. When it comes to sports bars that's really all I can ask for! Angry Orchard on tap was great and it was super dead so you didn't have to wait forever to sing. Only downside, the food took forever to come out and we only got fries and an appetizer trio. Long story short, if there's nowhere else to go I wouldn't complain about coming here!

We have eaten here several times. Most of our visits have been to watch a game and have some drinks. This visit we decided to have burgers after reading the review by Bob H. I went with the spicy blue cheese burger and my wife had the regular burger. The burgers were great. They were fresh, large, juicy, and just outstanding quality that you would expect to find at a gourmet burger restaurant. The fries and sweet potato fries were the sides and they were good. Our waitress was Melissa and she kept our drinks full and went out of her way to give us great service. The place is a little dated however it is clean and the seats were comfortable while watching the entire game. They have several TV's but none of them really large. They offer several daily drink specials and the food is priced well. It was monster Monday so the drink special was a 25 oz beer for 3 bucks. If you decide to visit it is located on the corner of Magee and Oracle right behind the McDonalds and Arby's

I have been going to Famous Sams at Magee and Oracle for over 10 years and the wings and burgers have never been the best, but the beer selection, sports media and service was always good, and i enjoyed meeting family and friends there. During the past several years I noticed the food quality and service has declined significantly. Tonight I went in and played a game and a half of pool before I was approached by a server to order a beer. There were four ladies working the bar and only a handful of customers. They stood arournd talking to one another and ignored their customers. When confronted they seemed annoyed they had to do their job. It was a very unpleasent experience and i don't think I'll be back soon. New management has ruined the place!

This is the closest "Packer Bar" to our home so we decided to take in a Sunday game along with other fans. First, the bad stuff. Although they tout dozens of TV's they're all fairly small for a sports bar. None of the TV's were bigger than ours at home. Watching the game from near the back of the room was a challenge. It was hard to tell what was going on a lot of the time on the TV. It would be great if they invested in one huge TV for that dining area or at least had a projection system or something. Trying to watch half a dozen small TV's showing simultaneously is a chore. As for the food, it was decent but nothing spectacular. We started off with the appetizer sampler which was listed as onion rings, zucchini strips, and mushrooms beer battered and fried and served with ranch dressing on the side. Sounded good. Unfortunately, when they arrived someone in the kitchen had decided they needed a little something extra and had dumped about half a jar of horrid powdered cheese on top of them. They would have been decent had it not been for that. The powdered cheese made them horrible. For our main dish we had the Firework Chipotle Chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwich was decent but nothing incredible. Very basic bar and grill type fare. The addition of the "bottlecap jalapenos" was nice and added some kick to the sandwich. Without a doubt the best part were the fries which were fresh and nicely hand cut. While not in the same league as Five Guys they were better than fast food fries and substantially better than most chain casual dining restaurants that serve fries. Desserts aren't listed on the menu but we asked our server about them and she informed us they did have a few things available like chocolate cake, ice cream or deep fried brownie bites. We opted for the brownie bites and they were quite good. She'd said they came with a scoop of ice cream but when they arrived it was simply whipped cream with a little drizzle of chocolate sauce. Regardless, they were delicious and hot with a crunchy exterior and wonderful soft chocolate interior. The prices are pretty reasonable for a sports bar and grill and we did have a good time watching the game with other Packers fans and cheering. Although we'll opt to watch games at home thanks to a better view of the TV, we still will keep Famous Sam's in mind for important games that aren't televised locally.

After many good years coming here, we noticed a huge change 4 or 5 years ago; for the worse. Heard there was an ownership or management change. We finally decided to try Sam's again after all these years. It would be easy for them to earn more stars, because they're failing in little ways. The Server, Rachael, was awesome. Steve... P.S. If the cook actually read the order before preparing a meal, that would be a huge improvement. Putting more than slivers of meat on a Reuben would also have helped today's rating. S...

Nothing fancy but they do offer Buzztime Trivia, Pool at 50¢ a pop, darts, and the usual pub grub. Their salads with chicken are pretty good, their Sam's Burger is great, and their servers are on the ball.

Basically the only decent bar within a few miles in this area of OV. Great staff, cheap drinks, fun atmosphere (when people show up), Karaoke on Wednesdays, Pool League, and that's pretty much it. It is what it is. Want a classier place? Go north. More people? Go south.
