You know, after a long swim sometimes all I crave are french fries, so Eegees is where I go, their fries are that amazing. The sandwiches are probably on the low end of the wow scale, but that's okay. For me they hit the spot, but they can be a little salty (it's the meat). The lettuce is shredded iceburg, diced tomatoes, tons of mayo. Perfect for me, not everyone's cup of tea. They're famous for their drinks- I'd call it a five star slurpee. Their standards are Strawberry, Pina Colada and Lemon in addition to a Flavor of the Month, and during Rodeo they have Root Beer. They're good, especially the Iced Teagees. (Iced tea and lemon eegee). My one major complaint is how long it takes to get your food in the drive through. I know, serious First World Problem, but I've timed it before- the wait can be upwards of 15 minutes, so beware if you're needing to grab something really quick.

The food and frys are always great. The place could use a little cleaning, but the Great service made up for that.

I like the food, but the drive thru is extremely slow.

Golly gee, what would summer in Tucson be like without Eegee's. Not just the frozen 'almost like slushie's but better' thing but the subs and fries are fresh and hearty and ranch with fries who'da thunk. Rotating flavors and real fruit add mystery to your approach and chunks of real food to your craw. And in winter - the hot pastrami sub somehow works to warm ya up when it is below zero outside.

I LOVE, LOVE their fries, and their ranch dressing, and the fact they are so smart to have jalepenos, GOOD jalepenos at the customers beck and call. However, I am not a fan of their sandwiches the meat they use is soooooo salty they could open they're own salt factory! I attempted a salad today and the ham and turkey killed it! i wish I could eat just fries, but I can't. I also am not big on the drinks, I know sacrilege!!!!! But, I am not a sugar/fruit person. If I could live on fries I would live here because I can't I won't be back so often...

Eegee's is a Tucson institution. I can't come to town without a stop for their slushee. And with the blazing heat, what is a better way to cool off than a stawberry/pina colada mix? I split a turkey sub with Mr. L and I was shocked that they served their sammy's hot. I didn't quite get that you get a hot sammy and a cold slushee, but whatever. The sammy was pretty good, but not the best I've ever had. If we were in town on a more happy occassion, I would've spiked my eegee with vodka, but there's always the next trip. 5 stars for slushees!!!!

I understand that each city has it's own local restaurant that everyone loves and says you HAVE to try. Heck, the hit in my home town specializes in soggy tacos in an almost rotten tomato sauce with rubbery cheese on top and everyone LOVES it. That is unless you're not from there. I fear that's what happened with me and Eegee's. I went there so willing to love it, but it didn't work out that way. I'd been hearing about their drinks for the longest time. I mean, schools even have Eegee parties for a super special treat. I had no idea they were like slushees. I fully recognize that my not loving this place is almost certainly my fault. If I'd been born here, I'd have been implanted with the Eegee-loving chip upon my birth, but that wasn't the case. I won't get into details about the almost cardboard-like bread and the soggy fries in order to not risk alienating anyone further. Sorry. Please don't hate me.

After a few co-workers raved about the fries, I caved and paid a visit after work. I ordered pizza fries and a watermelon slushy. Both were yummy! What pushed my rating up to a 4 star was the cashier. When she found out it was my first tine there, she let me know what was popular and what she liked. She was a sweetie. I'll come back once in awhile.

Hey- I love their no frill simple but filling sandwiches and FRENCH FRIES-- though not on the crispy side- they're still good...best lemonades :-)

Eat at Eegee's. What is more Tucson than Eegee's? The sandwiches are reasonably priced. The fries are some of the best in town. Real fruit in the frozen drinks in 110F they know their market. Locally owned. Take away the drink, add rum or vodka for parties.

Pretty damn good place but this business just has to expand to other states I really do enjoy the pizza pretzel and the deluxe grinder with ranch and lemon and that equals greatness

I can't come to Tucson without stopping at Eegee's. Is it the best food ever? No. But it always manages to hit the spot. I usually get a turkey sandwich "grinder style", an order of their amazing crinkle cut fries with a side of ranch (which is free), and the flavored Eegee's of the month. I love October's cherry apple cider flavor, but I tried July's watermelon yesterday and it was pretty damn good. I might have a new favorite. It was like a watermelon Jolly Rancher in frozen slushie form. My only complaint is if you are actually eating inside it's pretty run down and a little on the dirty side.

Eegee's is a local restaurant that contributes a lot to our community. And I use to come here a lot more to support them, but not anymore. I gave up. This Eegee's that is nearest to my house keeps leaving the back door open and while I sit and wait, flies hover around me constantly. It's a crying shame; shut the door! it won't be so bad if they didn't make me wait so long every time. They have plenty of staff but the kids in back take about 10 minutes per customer. Management needs to take notes from Jimmy John's...it's a lot cleaner there without the flies and you get a good sandwich quickly.

I don't generally have much use for fast food restaurants, but I have to admit, I really am a fan of Eegee's. And not just for the Eegee's themselves, for the food, too. They serve mostly sandwiches, hot dogs, and salads. I only get sandwiches, but their hot dogs are Nathan's, so they're really good quality, which is nice to see from a fast food chain! My go-to sandwich is the club. The meats aren't the highest of quality, but they're not Subway Eat (not so) Fresh (TM) substandard quality, either. They're actually perfectly edible and taste fine. I love their house dressing, which is basically an Italian dressing. It is sweet with a little bit of a vinegar note to it. It really enhances the flavor of the sandwich! The bread is always soft and fresh. I actually really like the bread, because even though it's soft, it's still a little chewy, which a sub roll should be. I've also had a few other sandwiches, and they're all pretty decent. All of the subs are large, in my opinion, and full of ingredients. I don't feel ripped off at Eegee's. Their fries are awesome! A lot of it is due to the way they fry them. They're always done so well! They're left mostly soft, not super crunchy, which is perfect! Get some ranch on the side (they don't charge extra for a side of ranch) and enjoy! And their small sized portion is more like a medium or larger at some of the national chains. My favorite Eegee's dessert is...their cookies! They have some of the best cookies in town! They're huge, soft, chewy, yummy, etc! You absolutely have to try the fudge brownie cookie! It doesn't just *taste* brownie-flavored, it actually has a brownie texture! It's awesome! A must-eat, for sure. And what's better than a cold, icy, Eegee during the summer months? Not much! They're not heavy like ice cream. They're refreshing. My favorite flavors-of-the-month are watermelon, cherry cider, cherry pineapple, and grape. Hopefully they all make the cut next year! This specific location can get really, really busy. Be careful if you park on the west side of the building, you can get trapped in by the inevitable backed up drive-thru line. All of the employees have been very nice. Eegee's prices are fine, in my opinion. If I want a decent sandwich or refreshing dessert, Eegee's is where I go!

I'm probably the only person in Tucson that does not like this place but I just can't. They stand for a great cause and I'm all about supporting local chains but I have to draw the line at eegee's. I feel like I need to wash my hands whenever I walk in there on the account that every one that I've been in has been so grungy and dirty. The food is greasy and tasteless. And I will never understand the appeal of the freezy things. Who wants lemon rind in their icee? Help me understand!!!

3 Stars for food, because it's at least up to par with the other locations. 1 more for location convenience, because it's a hop and skip away from my house. But, it's not quite a 5 star location as far as Eegee's goes. I cannot stand how long it takes them to operate. Whether it be the drive-thru or walking inside. They have plenty of people working, so there's no excuse for how slow they chug along. Don't bother driving through at lunch. Going inside may be two minutes faster. It actually doesn't seem to matter if they're jammed packed, or just fairly busy. I still had to wait 10 minutes for fries, when my sandwiches were already done. Location is kept clean as far as I could see, but I haven't exactly done a walk-around. Usually it's just the counter and the first couple of tables.
