I like this eegees. mainly cause it's still old school and the girl/woman working was so so nice! She was from Scotland and her name was Victoria. She seemed to have too much coolness to work in an eegees. Well anyway, in general, Eegees is hilarious and a Tucson staple. Even when they mess up an order, it's still hilarious. Try with vodka.

Eegees is its own thing. It shouldn't be compared to Subway, Quiznos, Jersey Mikes, etc. It's definitely not Baggins either....it's just Eegees. I have to be in a very specific mood for an average sandwich that is supported by awesome crinkle cut fries and some quality ranch dip. Their Eegee drink? Meh....like any slushee or Slurpee, all the good stuff is sucked out and you are left with a cup of shaved flavorless ice. Of course you can throw some booze up in that joint and get nasty really quickly. And they currently have this buffalo ranch dip right now and "holy Mary, mother of god' is it delicious.....that was Goonies..... I like Eegees....not sure why....its the fries....

I took my daughter here for lunch. She had a meatball sandwich and started throwing up within the hour. Poor thing has been sleeping and dry heaving for 6 hours now. I called and spoke with the evening manager and his response was that they check the temperature every 4 hours. Very disappointing, but as my other half says, "That's what you get when kids run businesses.". Not only is my poor daughter sick, but now she's missing her Girl Scout camp. Guaranteed that I will be calling the health department in the morning. I usually love Eegees, but won't be revisiting this location!!!

Ahh, Tucson's answer to the Subway Giant! How I prefer just about everything about Eegee's, not just because it's local, but because it's just that much better. If I were to go on an Eegee diet, it would consist of fries and ranch, and foot long deluxe grinders with Pina Colada Eegees, and I would be down to 285 lbs in no time! But God would I love getting there... The bread - ahhh, light years ahead of the other guy. Sure, maybe not the same variety, but if the variety sucks then it doesn't matter if they offer 5 kinds of suck. So Eegee's is tasty and fresh and wonderful. The meats and cheeses and veggies and dressings and everything else - awesome quality. The tuna salad is great. The ranch and the French fries may be the best in Tucson. The drinks are quenching and addicting. The manager at this location is terrific. He is so great with the guests and so sharp - a true pleasure to give my business to. One tip on getting a 5 star rating (true of any Eegees, not just this location): Please, any way we can speed up the drive through? I know that everything is made to order and so it takes a little while - but sometimes it is unbearable. I have actually seen such a line that I will park and go inside and order and beat several cars in line! No big deal, just saying... Anyway, they are consistent and delicious. Keep up the nice work! And bring back that delicious egg salad soon!

I was very disappointed in the customer service tonight on the drive thru. It was clear that the staff cared more about speed than customer service. I had to repeat my order one by one, because the guy taking my order had to question everything...and I don't mean just repeating your order at the end. Then when I pulled to the window, the girl didn't give me the chance to ask for ranch sauce. She told me to pull up past the window for my food...then slammed the window and began laughing with the others in the drive thru. When I tried to get her attention to ask for the ranch sauce, one of the guys reaches around her to open the window and very rudely tells me to pull forward for my food... like I was a child! After fussing at them for the rude behavior and severe lack of customer service, the only thing they said was that they are made to question how you place your order. Really! Of all the times that I come here, nobody has ever questioned every detail of my order...much less been so rude about it! They need to try to focus more on customer service and not so much about rushing the customer!

I eat here once or twice a month. The people are always friendly, the sandwiches are fresh, and the place is clean. The prices are a tiny bit more than Subway, but very much worth it.

Well, it's Eegees. If you're thinking about going here, you probably already know what you want because it fills that little niche that you'll only find there. As always, the drinks are great and huge, sandwiches are expensive, and the ranch fries are topped with that lame dried bacon bit stuff from the grocery store. This location in particular seems to have staff who aren't completely there for whatever reason. Last time we were there, the cashier charged the family in front of us for 30 orders of fries when they wanted 3, and then seemed totally confused about how to fix it afterwards. You know...normal Tucson stuff.

To start, I want to say I love Eegee's. Ever since I moved to Tucson this has been my go to place for sandwiches. But the visit today was very disappointing. It started by us thinking that the girl couldn't hear our order through the drive thru because I had to repeat it several times. It turns out that she was too busy eating an Eegee's to hear and/or help customers. We witnessed this for several minutes after we pulled up to the window. She never even looked at us even though we were sitting RIGHT THERE. Finally after 5 min or so the shift leader took my card and didn't look too happy. We waited some more. When we got home our sandwiches had no mayo and we barely had any fries. I felt I had been ripped off. After all, we paid over 17 bucks for two sandwiches and some fries. Neither of which were correct. Not going back to this location. If you do, beware the drive thru!

strawberry is the best. Had the cherry limeade, was a bit too sweet for me. Great sandwiches too. always fresh food and a good experience.

  • Helen B.

This is definitely a "local" favorite because I don't get it. Listen, I'm getting old and the eegee drinks are way too sweet for my palette. I tried....twice. I mean I kinda get it, little kids love that sickly sweet stuff and it's perfect for college kids for a wake up sugar rush or to....ahem.... "enhance" or enjoy whilst "enhanced". The sandwiches are good. Nothing I can't make or get else where. The ingredients are fresh. The hubs loves the subs and the fries with ranch. The employees are nice as well. I wouldn't seek out this place though.

Black Friday a group of six of us came in and ordered $50 worth of food. Armando took our order perfectly and informed us of the silver circle discount. We saved 10% on our order. Food and drink was great as always. Love eegees.

100 degree heat? lemon Eegee to the rescue. faithful customer since the days when Eegees was a truck

  • Brad P.

The sandwiches are terrible but the lemon eegees are great! Great on those hot Arizona days!

Love it here!! Only in tucson too!!!! YUMMY!!!! I could eat there everyday if I could!!

  • Nikki Rose T.

This place is supposed to be famous for their slushies, and since I don't have one of these in Vegas, I had to try it! Was it the best slushy ever? No. But, when it's hot, ice and sugar are delish. I got watermelon because it was the flavor of the month for July. I got a medium and it took me about 2 days to finish it. It's nice to be able to store it in the freezer and have it come out still tasting good. I did not taste their food, so I can't review that part, but for a cold drink in Tucson weather, I am there.

    (3)
  • Tina W.

I love this place!! Every time I go, the service is so friendly for a fast food place and the fries are burn-your-mouth hot!!! Such yummy food and totally inexpensive!

    (5)
  • Dale A.

Tanque Verde has the best Eegee's in Tucson, go check it out for yourself! The place is always spotless, even after the lunch rush. The staff ( Veronica, Nick) is super friendly and really on top. Way better than the 'Yellow' sub place! For too many reasons to list......I give them a rare 5 STARS.

    (5)
  • Holly M.

Tucson is pretty much synonymous with Eegee's! This is our little gem of the desert! The "eegee" drinks I have found are indescribable to outsiders - truly one of a kind and ONLY IN TUSCON!! This is always my first stop after I land - even after a nice long 12 hour flight, I hit the drive-thru before even going home! I actually found out they ship (not super far, but Los Angeles was doable). It was quite pricey ($90+) to ship a funpak - but well worth it for our little office party - Nice to finally have friends get a taste of all that goodness!

  • Nicole W.

I am a native and frankly its a Tucson tradition. I worked overseas for several years and anytime it was hot outside I found myself dreaming of a Pina Colada Eegee. I recently moved back to town and was shocked to realize a large is an extra extra large and the medium is most definitely a large, but for $.20 more size up and stick the left overs in the freezer. The ranch fries are good. I like the meatball sub with provolone. Are they amazing? Perhaps not, but they taste like Tucson and hot summer days, so really I don't care. People have deep feelings about their favorite flavor. My brother will make cross country trips for Watermelon, but I have always loved Pina Colada and my telltale orange tongue after the fact.

  • Rich Y.

I'm not a native Tucsonan so maybe I don't get the vibe of Eegee's but in my experience, it's nothing more than an overpriced Subway with fries. Slushies are OK. Add alcohol. You can get better sandwiches and fries elsewhere for cheaper.

    (3)
  • Mike B.

I ordered the chili cheese fries but I wasn't impressed. Even the ranch fries wasn't that good. We had to get more ranch dip and that helped. I went here since another Yelp elite friend recommended it, and there's a lot of chains as well around Tucson. I would go back to try other things on the menu. Even the pretzel pizza was small and it only had the cheese and marinara sauce.

  • Kinga H.

This location deserves 4 stars. All eegees restaurants are identical in food, never have I been to a chain which is so consistent. However, this location is on the clean side... tables are always wiped down and ready for you to sit at. The staff is friendly enough to get you in and out in a decent amount of time. Whether a T-Loc or an out of towner, a stop at your nearest Eegees is a must! To try: An Eegee frozen drink, and the crinkly cut fries with ranch (their own delicious recipe). The salads, sandwiches, pretzels, and cookies are tasty as well. On my latest Tucson trip, I noticed Eegees got a menu update: In addition to the cold sandwiches also now serve hot. The food packaging also received an updated look, looks great in yellow-orange however I miss the classic.

I am an Eegee's addict. I could have a biggee Pina Colada everyday. Thank goodness I live in another state and do not get the opportunity to go there very often. Also enjoy the grinders. My only negative is that it is awfully pricey for a sandwich. Every month they have a flavor of the month... so far have not enjoyed any they are too sweet or too bitter for me. Would love to have Peach... I'll be back in December... but they'll probably have cranberry.

This not so much of a review of this particular Eegees as it is a review of Eegees in general. This is just the closest one to my house. Their namesake Eegees slushes are just what you need on a hot summer day, or a beautiful spring day, or at a sporting event, or just because you want to try their flavor of the month. Their sandwiches are consistently good and ingredients are fresh. They don't charge extra for things such as ranch and house dressing and who doesn't love not being charged for something? And let's talk about the fries. I am hard pressed to think of any better fast food fries in Tucson. You dip them in some of the above mentioned free ranch dressing and they taste even better. It is certainly not a dining destination, but as far as drive-thru options, you can hardly do better in Tucson.

  • Missy K.

Best Fries in town (Ranch Fries YUM!)- and the grinder sandwhiches with their house dressing is yum yum! Always going to be our favorite sandwhich shop! We are moving up to the Phoenix area and can't wait for them to expand past Casa Grande! I'm here at this location a lot and they are always so nice and happy!! Eager to help you out! Only downfall is that sometimes orders can take FOREVER! However, knowing that my friends are being cooked at the time of order is a good thing and they area always so good. The Iced Teagee is my favorite!!!

  • Laura M.

I normally don't review fast food places, but being still a semi-newbie to Tucson I had to try out Eegee's. Let's just say that any place that gives me samples of their eegee slushes (while i'm in the drive-thru) just because I've never had them before...is pretty awesome. The people at this location are always SUPER friendly and nice. Last week I had some fellow coworkers introduce me to the awesomeness that is Eegee's and alcohol...YUM. Mix some flavored vodka or rum into a take-home Eegee's slushy and you've got an awesome drink. *Tip: Get their cookies...huge and cooked perfect!*

  • Adam F.

They take their time to make quality subs. Personally, I enjoy their meatball subs. They have their signature drinks which always goes well with their sandwiches. For desert, their big chocolate chip cookie is always satisfying!

  • Jillian C.

I love Eeggee's sooooo much! One of my favorite sandwich places ever! This place is definitely better than subway. And their fruit slushes are so yummy! Perfect for summer which is pretty much year round in AZ :-) Love this place!

  • K M.

What would summer in Tucson be like without Eegee's. It is great seeing kids hanging out with friends and family in Eegee's in summer, after a baseball or soccer game or just hanging out. People visit from Indiana, Texas, Washington, the Isle of Rhode, and remark that there's nothing even close to this where they are from. I have even heard these remarks. Eegee's is not just the frozen 'almost like slushie's but better' thing but the subs and fries are fresh and hearty and ranch with fries who'da thunk. And in winter - the hot pastrami sub somehow works to warm ya up when it is below zero outside after your pee-wee ice-hockey contest. Eegee's is a safe bet when you are hungry or hot and thirsty or both, unless it is so busy and swamped and you can tell it's gonna be a while until you get your order. Have fun at Eegee's.

  • Sanford R.

My fiance, who went to school in Tucson, thinks Eegee's has the greatest sandwich you can find anywhere. I have to disagree. To me Eegee's has been kind of gross the few times she has taken me there so far to the point where I would have preferred Subway. Maybe I need to find a sandwich here that I like, but that hasn't happened yet. It is bizarre that they serve fries too and those I didn't even think were great. The best thing is probably the cookie, but that's not enough to make me want to come back, although I'll probably be dragged back anyways.

  • Mike N.

This location is the best Eegees location that i've been to. The food is great and served quickly and John our cashier (and im guessing the manager) made rounds every 10 minutes making sure everyone eating liked their food. Great service + great food = a happy Mike

Place is dirty and kitchen looks dirty from the counter. Contacted the company and never heard back from them. Poor very poor!

  • Tu-Lien N.

My local friends told me that I MUST to try eegee's since it only has locations in Tuscon. It's a fast food place that makes you feel like you're in small town. We went there late in the evening for their frozen slush drinks which most people refer to as "eegees". Not eegee's slush drinks, just "eegees." I had a mix of lemon and strawberry and it was quite tasty. It was blended with fresh fruit which made the drink even more refreshing. The small is 20oz. for $1.99. Nice on a hot day.

  • Melinda F.

Food was okay. The food wasn't very customizable & the menu fails to disclose the amount extra you pay to add things (i.e. Cheese, bacon, our making it into a combo)

    (3)
  • F N.

Nice fries! Yummy fries! Thick fries! Greasy fries! Did I say yummy fries? McDonald's has nothin' on eegees fries baby. Sandwiches on the other hand are ummm different. The taste is totally different than the ones you might have eaten elsewhere. Having said, they are not something for the health nuts out there. They do give you large portions on the sandwiches. Although I miss eegees, I am glad they are not in Phoenix or else I would weigh 100lbs more than what I am now just because. I never really cared about their ice slushies but all my friends couldn't stop raving about them. Too sugary for me. If you happen to be in Tucson on a hot summer day, stop by eegees. Order a cold tuna sandwich with some fries. Yumm.

    (4)
  • Pepper G.

We love Eegee's!!! We utilize the drive thru quite often during the summer. Consistent friendly service and yummy food and the french fries are the best. Keep up the great work!

  • Kendra F.

When I think about Eegees in makes me feel a weird sense of pride to be from Tucson. It's one of those places that visitors have to indulge in while here. It's kind of like a law. The sandwiches are good. The eegees are great. They always have strawberry, lemon, and pina colada available plus a rotating flavor of the month. However, HINT, if you are ordering a party-pack size you can usually order any flavor anytime of the year. In my opinion, lime is the best! The only reason why they lost a star is that the service (specifically the drive-thru) is really, really slow. But it's a true testament to the yumminess of it that people will sit in their cars for such a long time for it!

    (4)
  • Christine J.

I second that! Message to Eegee's corporate - *please* bring Eegee's to Phoenix. I know you tried once to bring your delicious icy drinks (Strawberry is my favorite) and satisfying subs to the folks up North and failed, but even if no one else in Phoenix cared, Lyndsay and I would be at a Phoenix branch of your restaurant EVERY day, wouldn't we, Lyndsay? Sigh, well, a girl can dream, can't she? In the meantime, I'll just continue to make it a priority to stop into Eegee's every single time I am in Tucson visiting. I also hear that they ship their Eegees anywhere in the country - I might have to take them up on that for my next summer get-together!

  • Andrew D.

Eegee's is a required stop every time I visit Tucson. It's not fancy, but it reminds me of when I lived in Tucson in the early 90s. Reasonably priced sub sandwiches, AWESOME ranch fries, and of course...lemon Eegee's! The restaurant looks like it hasn't been updated since 1977 with the yellow laminate booths but who cares. The food is fast and tasty. And there's nothing better on a warm summer day then putting a spoonful of lemon Eegee's into your mouth and realizing you got a bite with some frozen lemon rind in it...YUM!!

    (4)
  • Lyndsay W.

Oh, Eegee's! How I have missed you since I have moved away!! Every time I am in Tucson, I long to stop and get a drink... so yummy, and so unique! I can't say that I have actually eaten at Eegee's in more than 10 years (though I stop in for a drink about once a month), but I remember the fries and the grinders being fantastic. The crowning glory that is Eegee's is in fact, the Eegee. Three "always" choices: Lemon, Strawberry, & Pina Colada (though us old timers can remember when it was just Lemon and Strawberry), and a Flavor of the Month. My favorite flavor is Orange Dream. I spent a month going there almost every day for it's dreaminess. Cranberry and peach are also winners. Oh, Eegee's!!! Why don't you come to downtown Phoenix? I would stop in every day!

    (4)
  • Misha B.

Just get a drink. mix the lemon with the flavor of the month you cnat go wrong. and get pizza fries. dont eat the sandwiches gross.

    (3)
  • Carmel B.

Ranch Fries, Yummy sandwiches and Flavor of the months that melt in your mouth. I wish there was one in California. Everytime I'm in Tucson its a must stop!

  • Greg E.

Gotta Love a Nice Ice Cold Eegee!!!! These things are yummy!!!! Trust me if your in Tucson and you have not had an Eegee......you just haven't experienced the fine food Tucson has to offer! Eegee's are an iced drink in several flavors. Eeggee's has over a dozen locations in the metro Tucson area. These stores have grinders, fries and sandwiches as well! Don't forget to try the "Pizza Fries" , odd but good!
