My two colleagues and I went here for lunch today. One of my buddies and I got a three piece combo and the other got a two piece. Holy smokes! We all talked about how much bang for the buck we got. All the chicken pieces were HUGE. The friend who got the three piece and I can really put down the food. But we actually had chicken left over and put it in the fridge at work. Church's uses really big pieces of chicken. The chicken tasted great. This fried chicken (and I love fried chicken) is the style that has a lot of breading, but is fried crispy. Even though it is heavy on the breading, it isn't too much because there is so much meat from the huge pieces, so the breading to meat ratio is still good. And the breading is tasty as well. I had two dark and one white pieces. I also had the spicy chicken. It is really good. It has a slight kick to it. I'd order it again. The white meat that I had was delicious. Sometimes white pieces can be too dry depending on where you go, but this one was moist and tasty. With both the white and the dark pieces, it is obvious that they must brine the chicken before breading and frying. Their honey butter biscuits were a unanimous hit among us as well. Just the right butter, just the right honey. Less messy than other biscuits because we didn't have to add the butter or honey. The mashed potatoes were pretty good. I would have liked more gravy. I still think KFC's gravy is the best, but this was still good. We'll definitely be back for more lunches. I want to try some of the other sides on their menu. As far as what fried chicken I like, I would put this at the same level as Lucky Wishbone, KFC, and Chick-Fil-A, my favorite chicken places.

Love Churches Chicken, sides are ok, staff unable to follow orders for request of no salt added or no ice in drinks.

This was our first visit to this restaurant even though we have lived in the neighborhood for 8 years. With super bad reviews on yelp and Google I never bothered. But tonight we decided to give it a try. We got the shrimp dinner and the fish dinner with mashed potatoes and a couple of biscuits. It was an excellent deal at just over 11 dollars. My fish tasted fresh as did the shrimp that I sampled. The mashed potatoes we very good and tasted fresh as well. The biscuits were of course the sweet honey variety, which I am not a very big fan of, but they were not very sweet-- only a little. They tasted fresh and soft. My order was correct and was a pretty quick trip through the drive thru. We were pleasantly surprised and will be back!

Two visits here now and probably no more. The chicken can be tasty (as fried chicken often is), but the rest of the food is definitely meh at best. Any future inclination on our part to stop here for dinner will be countered by: 1) The place is a mess. Food & trash all over the floor plus behind the counter is very messy and I didn't see any of the (three) employees wearing gloves, hairnets or washing hands. 2) Service is sloooooooooooooow. We waited in the drive through behind another car for five minutes (they were still waiting to order as well) before giving up and going inside. When we finally got our order (after the credit card machine went down) and walked out to the car - we noticed the same car from the drive through just leaving. 3) They screwed up our order. We ordered five things and they forgot two of them. Seriously? 60% accuracy is not a good number. 4) Horrible packing of orders. Everything gets tossed willy-nilly into the thinnest, flimsiest of clear plastic bags which are guaranteed to rip before you even get to the car. (And it did.)

I tried this location twice since they re-opened. The first time my order was wrong but I was already home so didn't go back. The second time I had to wait for almost 20 minutes for my order and when I got it home the chicken was dried out and tough. Not going back.
