Waiting for my takeout order so I figured why not, been here 3 times I believe I'm adequate to write a review. I base my standards on different scenarios. If it's a fancy restaurant, you'll get judged differently then a fast food, etc. This place reminds me of nyc Chinese takeout. Super mom and pops...wear whatever I want, bring-my-kids-everyday-to-work type of place. The price..exactly what a place that looks like this should cost. Food...pros and cons. Pros - the shrimp, leek & egg dumplings are delicious (Pan fried). I haven't tried the pork & cabbage but my sister-in-law told me to stay away. She did get them steamed...maybe that's why? I've tried their egg and tomato, which surprisingly wasn't bad given that they use ketchup in their recipe. Cons - The server had recommended their beef noodle soup...ba-ba-ba-bland! Yea, the broth definitely isn't freshly made beef broth. Tastes more like hot water and soy sauce...pass! I also tried their fried fish dish, which was one of the most expensive items on the menu, and because of the price difference it means very few people probably orders the dish...which means their fish is prob. frozen, defrost and then made SOO knowing all this, why did I order it?! Well, I didn't look at the price when ordering...lesson learned! **One last thing for management...the last time I went there was no A/C, just a rotating fan(while waiting for takeout, I coincidentally sat at the only table the wind from the fan was hitting and it was still hot. Yep, felt bad for everyone else in the room lol). C'mon, it's Tucson - 110 degree summers. I know electric is expensive but that is just a cost you need to fork over! Also tried their eggplant dish and it was simply okay. So, you wonder why 4 stars? Well, their leek, egg and shrimp pan fried dumplings are that GOOD that I will continue to return and order THAT endlessly. Oh, and the skin is handmade; plus, plus. Don't know why they are named "Brother's Noodles", definitely not their specialty.

Visit #2 did not disappoint!! After reading other reviews I decided to order WAY outside my comfort zone and got the leek, egg & shrimp dumplings, pan fried. They were delicious! Definitely homemade and fresh. Also tried the chicken fried rice; it was absolutely hands down the best fried rice I have ever had.

I tried Brothers Noodles as carryout after wondering about them for some time. The online menu and ordering were nice. The food, not so much. My order was a General Tso's Chicken, the Pork Rib Noodle Soup, and the steamed Pork and Cabbage Dumplings. The General Tso's Chicken tasted more like someone added a little heat to sweet and sour chicken. It was just soggy, red, heavily breaded nuggets. The small amount of meat in the noodle soup seemed more like beef than pork. The soup and noodles were flavorless and underseasoned. The dumplings were undercooked and doughy. They smelled foul in the package (worse than cabbage normally does) but tasted slightly better. But the doughy wrapper was unimpressive. None of these items made me want to try their food again.

$3.99 for lunch. What a deal. 50cents more for soup? Sure! This place is very tasty. Their crab puffs are pretty decent too. I'll have to try their leek dumplings next. I recommend this place for a cheap but good lunch. A bit salty but worth the high blood pressure. One critique: their hot and sour soup could work on the "sour" part and add some more chinkiang vinegar... I'll even take some white pepper for the "spicy" part more too. But hey, it's still tasty and still worth the stop. I think I'd frequent more if it was closer.

To be honest I think I'd rather go to a crappy China Buffet the food I got delivered it wasn't that great but it wasn't the worst a little bit overpriced for what you get if you really want Chinese food I think I would prefer Panda Express over what I ordered the egg rolls are technically spring rolls over overpriced for two of them they are about 2 inches long and soggy I had high hopes for this place but probably will not go back

Good food the noodles were great and the dumplings looked great, even better it's close to my house. The food came out fast and was great.

Once in a lifetime experience! But if you can help it, don't even make it once. Over the past 5 years that I have been actively Yelping, I've only wanted to give ZERO STARS to very few places. This is one of them. Poor portions, lack of flavor, priced too high, and *possible* racism (yes, I understand that this is a pretty big accusation. Read on). I recently ate dinner here out of desperate measures, as I was miserably failing in finding good Asian food in Tucson. Brothers Noodles is one of the "sponsored search" on Yelp, so it kept showing up on my search results, and I caved in to driving across the town to eat there. Kind like poking a hole at the bottom of a popcorn bucket, I guess. Probably not going to turn out well but give it a try anyway. First impression was bad. I couldn't find this place because the restaurant's sign doesn't light up at night... passed by it twice before spotting it. Then upon walking in, I saw a measly vinyl sign with scribbled price changes by using a permanent marker. How Asian. Better yet, sitting under this completely unacceptable sign was a nondescript employee playing games on his cell phone. No uniform or nothing. For all I know, this is a regular customer who killed the owner and took his place, meanwhile cooking up the owner's chopped body to incoming customers. Well that's not a healthy first thought... I probably need help. Sick jokes aside, this is how you know that a restaurant does not care-- anyone who has worked in food services understands that there is ALWAYS something that needs to be done. If nothing, hell, there is always something to clean. Playing video games on your phone during the dinner time is just bad practice. I got myself a bowl of beef noodles with vegetable, and for something like $8.50, it was less than half the size of any pho bowl I can find in town. To definitize this zero-star experience, there was just a lonely single piece of Chinese broccoli sitting atop the noodles... how insulting. No flavor either! Tasted like something out of a packet soup. Alright, here comes the juicy and memorable racist story that the bowl of noodles never was. While eating my tasteless flour , I noticed that one of the customers (who already got his food) came back to the counter to ask for something. Have you ever received your food, only to realize that a fork was missing? If you've ever watched the old school Dane Cook standup, this is one of those moments where you have all the rights in the world to cut the line to the front to get your god-given rights to a fork. However, this customer happened to be a black man. The professional-cell-phone-gamer-aspiring-Chinese-worker ignored him for solid 2 minutes, suddenly reorganizing his counter, delivering checks to tables, before asking what the black man wanted. I felt sick watching this. Just what the f*** was his issue with the customer? As a note on the side, I didn't notice anything unusual while a group of 4 people with a token black dude had entered the restaurant and made their food order. TL DR: Terrible restaurant for the value. Don't fall for Yelp's sponsored search trick.

Starting to think I am too high maintenance... Wanted to try somewhere new, tons of ppl raved about their dumplings on here and I have yet to find a good place for potstickers in AZ, so... Ordered pork dumpling, had a funky flavor. Mongolian beef was tough and chewy Kung Pao Ck had weird bitter flavor Fried rice was good White rice was dry May go back for cheap lunch special, since it's such a good deal, but won't keep in my usual rotation.

My boyfriend & I got a wild hair for Chinese take-out and found this place on Yelp. It was spur of the moment on the way home so we just skimmed the reviews. I saw several mentions of tasty dumplings so we quickly ordered Beef & Celery dumplings and Leek, Egg & Shrimp dumplings. Not sure if they were steamed or fried, they didn't ask and we didn't know yet to specify. I wish we had taken the time to read the menu longer!! We didn't bother until we sat to wait for the food. Curry Chicken (in either form?) sounded great but we will be back! The dumplings are a keeper! Leek, Egg & Shrimp were the favorite we will order again. Also next time we will call ahead like another review suggested. Good tip!

Hands down the best dumplings I had in Tucson, maybe the best I have ever had. I discovered this place on Yelp and decided to give a try, since it was the closet good Chinese restaurant to my house, which is about 13 minutes away. I went here with my brother and the server suggested the pork rib noodle soup, which was really, really, good. The pork rib was perfectly cooked and you could tell that the noodles were fresh and handmade. The broth was warm and comforting too, and the soup had the nice crunch of bok choy. We then ordered the fried pork and cabbage dumplings which were the highlight of the meal. The dumplings had the perfect wrapping and the filling had an amazing taste and texture, unlike a lot of restaurants were the filling is an unidentifiable mush. At 7 dollars for 10 dumplings and 6-8 for the noodle soups, the prices are very reasonable in my book.

    (5)
  • James Ese D.

Dumplings was not bad... all the noodle soups they use the same broth but it's not too bad the pork is way over cooked and no flavor.... this place is not too good and not too bad

This restaurant has a very casual atmosphere, feels a bit like in a fast food restaurant. Ideal for a quick lunch, less ideal for a romantic date. The dumplings are the sh*t! If you go here, definitely get the dumplings. We got the pork and cabbage ones but I am sure the other flavors are also good. They are salty but not too salty, very savory, and the filling has just the right texture: not too mushy but not too firm, either. Unfortunately, I did not like the noodle soup that much. The noodles seemed to be a bit overcooked, the flavor of the broth was sort of bland, and the beef chunks were super hard to chew, felt like I was chewing on cartilage :/ Maybe it is supposed to be that way (I don't know much about Chinese cuisine, excuse my ignorance)? So if that is how you like your beef noodle soup, go for it.

I had the egg noodle bowl and my husband had the pork rib noodle bowl. The food was fresh and the place was clean. The taste of the food was authentic. Other menu items I'd like to try. Ill definitely be back.

I'm glad to see that people are eating here! I added this restaurant to yelp after a friend told me about this place! I really like the food! My wife liked the food, I didn't care too much about the cilantro in the dumpling soup but I am not a fan of cilantro to begin with. I had almost a little taste of everything the first visit, I will go back and try everything! The egg drop soup is great! Crab puffs, beef & broccoli. Keep this place in business everyone! We need places like this rather than low quality places like panda express! Once I've competed the entire menu I'll increase or decrease my overall ranting.

It was our first time eating here today, and boy, they got some good stuff! We ordered two different soups, beef noodle soup and pickle and pork noodle soup, and also an order of Mongolian beef. The broth was phenomenal, and the Mongolian beef is out of this world! Every tasted so fresh!!!

Went here for a late lunch. We shared shrimp noodle soup and shrimp egg and leek dumplings. Everything was very tasty and satisfying. Next time I'm in Tucson shopping I will be having lunch here.

I came here hoping to try the noodles about a month ago. As a vegetarian, I was so bummed to find out that they used beef broth in all of their noodle dishes. Fortunately, my boyfriend was able to try it, and he loved it. On the other hand, they make an egg-cellent (punny much?) garlicky Chinese eggplant dish. It was served family-style over a hot bowl of rice. What a treat! As a side note, their dumplings can be custom-ordered to accommodate vegetarians. You just have to order it 30 minutes ahead of time. These guys deserve an A+ for quality and customer service.

The steamed dumplings were great. A little on the smaller side but good flavored. Ask the staff for some chili oil to add to the soy sauce vinegar mixture that it comes with, you won't regret

Really nice place overall! Visited tonight for dinner with the family. After leaving Seattle to settle in Tucson, we've been on the search for a quality Chinese place and finally we found one. The highlights were definitely the dumplings - we had the steamed cabbage and pork - nicely spiced meat and the dough was just right in the middle of doughy and light. We also had the pickled pork noodle soup, the shrimp noodles, shrimp noodle soup and the house fried rice. Pickled pork was top notch, the noodles were hand drawn and nicely chewy, the broth was great but the shrimp could have been fresher. The fried rice had lots of veggies and had a nice touch of the wok. Also had the hot tea with nice, friendly service. We'll be returning for comfort chinese food with a heavy hand of authenticity.

I took a fellow Asian Yelper (Kai Y.) here one day and we each got a bowl of noodles and an order of dumplings. He got an order of dumplings and a noodle dish to-go for his wife (the owner left the dumplings and noodles uncooked and the soup packaged separately so the meal could be created as freshly as possible at home) and they went back the following day. Let that speak for itself. I came here for the first time when they opened and pretty much knew, even before trying the food, that it was going to be a place I enjoy. There's the familiar "hole in the wall" feeling without being too dingy. The owner is extremely friendly and you can tell he's all about serving good food and that he's proud of the good food he serves. He remembered me on my second visit - that says a lot. For purists: the dumpling dough is handmade and the noodles are pulled by hand. Dumplings and noodles are made to order. The beef broth isn't oily at all and is made plain on purpose to suit the majority of tastes. You can ask for chili oil to suit your spiciness preferences. There's actual beef in the beef noodle soup. I haven't tried any dishes besides noodles or dumplings but what I saw coming out to other tables looked good and the lunch special price can't be beat. This noodle shop is a welcome addition to Tucson. I'm always more than happy to make the 20 minute drive. Rich's recommendation: beef noodle soup and dumplings. You have to do it.

Back again for Noodles with my wife and daughter. Good food for dinner and open really late. Hole in the Wall in a shopping center, but clean and very friendly staff. Noodles and Dumplings are the BOMB! It is very good. The other Chinese fair was average. But I love this place and I hope to try the lower price lunch menu soon.

First time ordering from here i Got sweet and sour chicken, orange chicken and crab puffs for delivery. I didn't like any of it. The crab puffs were soggy, orange chicken am was flavorless and the sweet and sour chicken my boyfriend described it as if it tasted like penny's. Only reason why it's getting 2 stars if for the delivery time. I won't be coming back.

    (2)
  • Katy L.

The delivery was right on time! I ordered the shrimp fried rice and I was in heaven. Shrimp cooked beautifully and the rice was nice and fluffy! I also indulged with the order of 10 fried dough. They were just the right amount of sweet and super pillowy! I will for sure be ordering from here again!

This place is located in the front of a shopping area on Speedway. It used to be a pizza place. Now it is a restaurant with sit down seating as well as takeout. We were waited on right away. They had a choice of dumplings which was fun and we also enjoyed the crab puffs. They were willing to customize an order and were accommodating. They brought the dishes out quickly-frankly a bit too quickly as everything pretty much came at once. However, the food was good.

I really wanted to be able to give this place five stars. I mean there are so few places to find fresh, handmade noodles in this town. Combine those with fresh ingredients and there is much potential. I have, however, just not been wowed with the flavors or textures of the food. Maybe I have just eaten at one too many Chinese buffets. On my first (takeout) visit I asked what their specialty was. The answer was... dumplings. The dough for those is also handmade from, I assume, the same dough as the noodles. I opted for the pork filling. The dough was tender and they were fresh and fairly tasty but I was expecting more of a flavor bomb than I got. As Ming-Min L. says, the dipping sauce is basically dolled up soy sauce. I got a broccoli and beef with fried rice for my wife. She let me taste it and, although the ingredients were fresh, it was also short on flavor. I will say that the price was right on that - $3.99. For $5.49, you can get two items and either steamed or fried rice. The second visit (also takeout) I tried what they call fried noodles. I call it lo mein. Whatever it's called they give you a ton of it. I got it to go and when I opened the container at home I was shocked at how packed it was. The ingredients were fresh, the meats were not overtreated so they were not mushy. I did, however, sense some slight mushiness to the noodles. I know they were fresh and maybe I am just more used to dense boxed noodles you cover with spaghetti sauce. It's probably just my lack of understanding of authentic Chinese food. My only truly valid critique was that I had ordered my food extra spicy. I wasn't getting that, so I added Sriracha for some more punch. I do give them four stars because I am, indeed, a fan of this family run business. It's in my neighborhood and I hope they stick around... sooner or later I am bound to break free from my buffet ways and see that these Brothers know how to use their noodle.

I came here last week and it was a weird experience. I came here to pick up some food for lunch and I had the sesame chicken and noodles; it was good, but a little oily. When coming in, the staff didn't seem as excited as I thought they'd be, the server never really made eye contact and made me feel a little out of place. After a couple of hours, the food even made my stomach feel a little icky. (This is a review on their take out, never went and ate inside of the restaurant, but stepping in, it looked a bit empty. For this being a newer business, I thought it would be bustling with people.) To curb your hunger though, this is the place to be, but that's pretty much it.

Brother's Noodles serves really good and authentic Dong Bei (Northwest) style Chinese food. The dumplings and noodles are homemade and they are excellent. I ordered two other pork dishes (pork belly with potato and red sauce pork) and they were very tasty as well. The food is flavorful but not salty, and there's definitely no evidence of MSG. I'd say the food is home style, like your friend's Dong Bei mother would serve you in her house. Service is friendly but a bit slow. It took close to 20 minutes to get my to-order. They got the dumplings, fried noodles, and one of the pork dish done very quickly, but the last one took a while. I have a feeling there are limited wok stations in the back so they couldn't make all 4 dishes at the same time. It's not a big deal, and I'll definitely be back!

Food: Today was my first time eating at this place and I have to say the food was the freshest and best asian food I've ever eaten. I had steamed cabbage and pork dumplings that were simply amazing and I had the pork soup which was very good too. I like strong seasonings and although the pork soup didn't have that, the flavors they do have are amazing. I highly recommend them to anyone in the Tucson area. Cost: My only complaint about the place is their price, it's a bit higher than other asian restaurants, BUT... their food is also a higher quality and even though I think they are priced a bit high, I would definitely eat there again. I'm a bit of a 'frugal' person but I honestly think they are only asking more because they are offering better product and I agree with them. Dining Area: Nothing special, standard seats and tables, no booths. Parking: Parking isn't a problem, it's in a shopping center parking lot and there is plenty of parking. Service: Service was good, I wasn't sure what kind of place I was eating at so I didn't bring tip money and all I had was a $100 or one $1 bill, obviously not tipping $100, but I thought $1 would be insulting, so if you're the cutie with the unique ear ring from hot topix, you've got a nice tip coming next time I come, and I definitely will be back for those cabbage and pork steamed dumplings! Summary: I cannot speak as to the authenticity of the food, but the flavors are awesome. Even though I think they are bit over priced I don't mind paying because the food makes my tongue do the happy dance. Highly recommended.

I love Tucson, but good Chinese food has never been its strong point. Enter Brothers Restaurant. All I can say is FRESH DUMPLINGS YES YES YES! This is a Northern China-style restaurant. I lived in Harbin, northern China for some time -- Brothers is legit! As other reviewers have noted, go for the dumplings and noodle dishes, all made fresh by hand. I'm a big fan of the pork-filling dumplings (Brother's flavoring on those is fresh and bright, mmmm so good!). My husband likes the beef filling better. The seafood ones are great, too. Honestly, just order all three fillings, can't go wrong ;-) I've also tried a good chunk of their menu otherwise and been pleased. The hot and sour soup in particular stood out -- a nice, deep broth without being thick and starchy. If you've only eaten off the lunch special menu, I recommend trying out some of their other stuff. Their lunch special menu is a little limited -- mostly American-Chinese-food and not the full spectrum of delicious tasties you can get on the full menu (but hey, can't beat the price).

Love the staff. I also love getting their fried rice, pork over rice, curry and their dumplings. Very reasonable price and food comes out rather quickly. I don't know about the orange chicken, sesame or sweet & sour whatever, I never order those Americanized garbage.

The noodles here are fresh and delicious. If you like very salty, rich Asian food, this may come across a little underseasoned. For me, flavors were bright and clean. I would recommend anything with noodles however we had the sweet and sour chicken entree which was also fresh tasting, hot and yummy. This place is about food- I like food- I will be back for sure .

I am determined to find the good hole in the wall restaurants. It is truly a hole in the wall but very accessible so for me that is great. The only real thing that matters after that is the service and the food. We went to the counter when we got there cause it is basically a takeout place with tables. They asked if we were taking out or staying and of course we stayed. The menus were brought over promptly. We weren't given a fair chance to look at the menu before asking what we wanted. I go on these lunches about once a month or so and it is a very leisurely lunch so we are in no rush. I say that to say we can be slow. We did order dumplings right away. I asked if they can do half orders so we can get two different kinds but was denied. We also then ordered beef with broccoli. We decided not to get an additional dish after we saw the woman walk out with a dish which was a good size. The dumplings were pork and a smallish size. It was ten dumplings for the order. I wasn't keen on the dumpling sauce so straight away had my friend get us some hot pepper oil which improved it greatly. The dumplings were ok nothing to write home about. Next we tried the beef and broccoli which also needed the hot pepper oil. The broccoli and beef had an odd taste. It wasn't a bad taste just odd. The food was very reasonable and you can even get a lunch special for $3.99 for one dish choice and I believe $5.49 for two dish choice. The portions were good in my book and I am a huge eater. The pricing was perfect. Overall if I lived in that neighborhood I would use it as a takeout joint just for a change of pace or laziness. The food was fairly bland and just ok. If ok is good for you give it a try.

This place is fantastic. I ordered the Kung Pao Beef, and was pleased with it, but didn't think that it was the 'best thing ever' by any means; but my girlfriend ordered the Shrimp Noodle Soup and I sampled some - this was absolutely amazing. Flavorful, plenty of shrimp, homemade noodles. We also had some Shrimp, Egg, and Leek Dumplings and those were fantastic. tl;dr - skip the plates, get something with noodles!

Good value and tasty. Had 2 item combo which includes choice of rice and 2 entries. Hot n sour soup .50 extra. Fried rice was tasty and not greasy. Served hot and very quick. Would recommend and return when in this part of town.

One of the best places to go for real Chinese food in Tucson. Most places around here are Chinese-American but Brothers has authentic dishes and handmade noodles. Also the owner is really nice and it's pretty inexpensive food. -the beef and broccoli is the best I've ever had! -beef and celery dumplings fried are yum. -shrimp fried rice, we order every time we go because it's so good -my mom ordered noodle soup and it had more noodles than I've ever seen come in noodle soup and the noodles were really good, we heard they're handmade -also tried the dumpling soup which was good **half Chinese certified yelp review.

I read the reviews prior to visiting this place which is right across the street from where I live. Most of the people are completely right that this place is awesome! Like many of my fellow yelpers, all I ask is for good food and good customer service. I could really care less about the ambiance or anything like that so this place is perfect. I do not usually go to places within an hour of them closing because its just rude, but I went to Brothers on a Saturday night at 8:45 when they close at 9:30. (I had been meaning to try them for a few weeks now) My husband and I ordered the pork/cabbage dumplings, Mongolian beef and chicken fried rice. (I know, not very adventurous) but everything was so good and so fresh. We sort of peeked in the kitchen and saw them hand rolling the dumplings like right when we ordered them. And they tasted so good! The chicken fried rice was simple, yet very flavorful. The Mongolian beef had fresh, crisp veggies and tender beef. Our total bill was around $25 and we were gone by the time they closed, so I guess not only was the food fresh, but it was fast also! I definitely recommend this place! Can't wait to go there for lunch because the lunch specials look pretty awesome also. Please try them out because we can' keep them open if no one goes there!

Let's start off with the customer service first. I'm really big on great service since I've worked in the industry for several years. They had excellent customer service. They made my husband and I feel very welcomed and made great suggestions. Even offered to show us what certain items on their menu looked like so we can see if we would like it or not. The food. I was so excited to see that they served chicken curry. I have been craving curry and trying to find a place that serves it the way I like is hard. It was perfect. They didn't overload the sauce on the chicken which is a plus. Only thing I would of liked or suggest is if they added a little more spice to it. My husband got the beef noodle soup and the noodles tasted really good. I love that they make them by hand. The broth had so much flavor. If I ever get sick. I know where I'm ordering from. Their dumplings are amazing too. Never thought I liked them as much as I did. The size and quantity was perfect. Don't judge my husband and I but we just had to try a little bit of everything. We also tried something else but I can't recall nor do I know how to spell it. But it reminds me of "Manapua". For those of you who know what that is. Well those were also delicious. With everything that we ordered I couldn't believe how inexpensive it was. We have definitely found a place we could go back to.

As long as you understand this is not PEI WEI or PF Chang's Decor wise.... This place really is a little GEM. Their fresh dumplings are on par with stuff I had back in NYC. And overall their ingredients are very fresh! But their dumplings keep me coming back! YUM

I'm always a fan of authenticity and, aside from the standard "American Chinese" fare that is a restaurant's (in this part of the world's) bread and buttah, Brothers has some genuinely tasty authentic food. Without a doubt, the dumplings should be on your list of things to try, as well as the beef noodle soup. You'll find the dumpling skin a good mixture of soft and chewy, with the fillings being hearty and not overly salty--my favorite is the egg, leek and shrimp. They are accompanied by dumpling sauce, which is just fancied up soy, but completely necessary and appropriate. The noodle soup hits the spot with its clean broth and sizeable chunks of meat. I've also had the house fried noodles which are a good, shareable portion and not overly oily. Although I haven't ordered it, it tickles me that that the comfort/kid food item "tomatoes and egg" is on the menu! Squirt some ketchup on it and it takes me back to being five again! I also haven't tried any of the lunch special items, but they seem to be a good deal (see previous review or check my menu pics). The restaurant is fairly new so I'm not sure if the interior will always stay so plain, but it's a simple setup: clean with scant decor. Helpful pictures of some dishes on printed banners if you need a hand deciding. They seem to keep it a bit warm in there so dress down if you're going to be slurping up hot soup! Lastly, I just want to say that I love seeing good Asian food outside the sphere of campus-town. Keep it up, Brothers! You're our new neighborhood spot! Update: oh yeah! Pork rib bone soup is it! All the great freshness of the beef soup everyone raves about but with tender pork rib meat (bone in, obviously) flavored traditionally with a subtle taste if Chinese five spice. I like this soup best for the texture.

Due to the over saturation of Chinese style restaurants here in Tucson, I was extremely pleased with brothers noodle shop. I tried the beef noodle soup and the pork cabbage dumplings. Both were cooked perfectly. quality of both dishes were present. however, I am big on meat quality and unfortunately it lacked in the beef soup. not to take away from the overall dish. the general appearance of this restaurant is humble and not very "Americanized". I personally didn't mind it, as most local Tucson owned restaurant poses some " mom and pop feel". As for the price, it was a little steep for just soup and dumplings. ranged in the $20.00 range. and food quantity was acceptable. However, I've been told in the past, new business usually have higher prices there first few opening months. Besides you pay for what you get! Which is quality! The staff was friendly, not as welcoming as I would have personally like them to be. It was often hard to understand them, but we managed! No harm done. I would recommend anyone who enjoys noodles to try this place. As the other reviews stated, its a great place to enjoy a quick bite.

I went for lunch with my husband and son. We were looking forward to trying it based on their reviews. Disappointed to say the least! My food was oily and flavorless. Yuck! My husband and son ordered the sesame chicken. It was more like sweet and sour chicken with sesame seeds on top. My son took two bites and was done and he eats just about anything. Two stars based on the fried rice tasting better than our chicken. We won't be going back. Big bummer since we made a drive from the NW side of town. So not worth it!

Tried out this place for lunch with a friend. The food was fresh and delicious. We ordered a couple of dishes. The dumplings were really tasty. We had a combination plate with curry chicken and sweet & sour chicken with the fried rice. The portion size was good for $5.49 and if you just want one entree and side of fried or steamed rice, the lunch special is $3.99. We ordered the house fried noodles and that came with shrimp, beef and chicken along with onions and bean sprouts. The 2 egg rolls in an order were nice and crispy as was the sweet & sour chicken but a little more sauce would have been been better with the the chicken. The restaurant is right near the eegees in the Big 5 shopping center. Wishing the owner success. The food is good and we will go back to try other dishes.

Tried this for the first time tonight.. Friendly staff, quick take out.. The food however was even better!! Oh my lawwwwd the chicken fried rice was heaven in my mouth and the egg rolls were to die for! My son had beef noodle soup and he gobbled it up like he was a damn turkey! I HIGHLY recommend this place!!

New in town, looking for some good Asian good in my neighborhood. I read some reviews and decided to give it a try. It's always good to see some Asians at a restaurant as customers in my personal experience living in Arizona lol Anyway, I ordered crab puffs and beef noodle soup. They are little stingy on the cream cheese. The soup of beef noodle is delightful, the beef is tender, and they give u a lot of noodles!! The flavor is a little different from Taiwanese style I grew up with. Overalls, I enjoyed it.

Found this little gem during a recent trip to Tucson. They delivered to the hotel we were staying at in a pretty short period of time. Had the beef noodle soup, steamed cabbage/pork dumplings, steamed leek/egg/shrimp dumplings and combo fried rice. Boy was it delicious!! Very simple dishes that are super tasty. The servings were very generous. Will be a repeat customer next time I find myself in Tucson.

This place is awesome! Cheap but very good food. Two item lunch special with fried rice and soup was under $7. It was surprisingly empty at 11:30 so service was fast. Ordered the sesame chicken and broccoli beef. Both were tasty! Egg drop soup was only a 50 cent addition and came with crispy noodles. I would definitely come again. Two thumbs up!

Finally, a nice neighborhood Chinese place. The lunch specials are amazing, and so cheap. For 3.99, you get an entree and white or fried rice (their fried rice is SO good). For a measly 50 cents, you can add a bowl of soup. In other words, two people can have a full lunch for less than $10. Beat that price. But beyond the price, the food is just darn good. Everything tastes fresh and the dumplings are homemade. Can't beat it. If you want fine decor, this place probably won't suit you. But the customer service is great, and I just love the place.... OH, and they deliver!

I just wanted to grab a fast, cheap lunch today, which is what I guess I got... $3.99. I chose the fried rice with the curry chicken, which was either #5 or #6 on their list of lunch combos. What I got was fried rice and curry potatoes, diced small, with 2 or 3 pieces of stringy chicken gristle or somethinhg thrown in. It wasn't white meat, it wasn't dark meat. It was perhaps tiny samples of the seldom-seen parts of chicken. Lest there be any confusion: Instead of CURRY CHICKEN I got "CURRY" DICED POTATO! Curry is in quotation marks because it was a very provisional, unorthdox, light-weight curry: If there had been curry in it, it might still have been okay, I was so hungry! But there was only the disillusioning faint hint of a bare taste of maybe yesterday's curry. I estimate a Scrooge-like pinch of curry, at best. I didn't know curry powder was that expensive, that they have to be so tight with it. I am not sure what was on the chef's mind. He might have thought I would think the potatoes were really chicken, but they looked and tasted just like potatoes. It wasn't what I imagined, much less what I ordered. I reviewed their menu in the window when I left,. I saw nothing with potatoes in it. Its getting close to Christmas, and maybe an act of pure Magic has repreieved some big fat clucking chickens and dished-up spuds in their place.. a Miracdle in the Old Pueblo! Obviously I should have ordered a noodle dish, since that's what people here have reviewed as excellent. But I didn't see any noodle dishes among their lunch specials. After I left, I called Brother's Noodles from the Eegees next door and complained bitterly. For some reason, it felt better to do it on the phone than in person. The guy listened quietly, without comment, to my brief little rant. Okay, folks, I know I shouldn't expect much for just $3.99, but this meal left me confused and ashamed, as if the Restaurant Gods had cursed me to yet another sub-average Speedway experience. I probably won't be back.

I'm a fan of this place. Never been to the actual restaurant, but I've ordered for delivery a few times and it's always very good. The egg rolls and general tso's chicken with the chicken fried rice are my faves and are delicious. There's a 2.50$ delivery charge but they are fast and food is always hot when I get it. Portions are huge and very inexpensive. No complaints.

We have gotten delivery from Brothers Noodles several times now. Delivery has always been timely and friendly. The fried rice and orange chicken is pretty standard, but plentiful. The noodle soups are ridiculously good. Great broth, yummy noodles, plenty of meat. The dumplings are awesome, both steamed or fried, and the dipping sauce for them is perfect. So glad they deliver to our area!!

Been here twice and can't say I enjoyed it. Both times food was extremely oily. I think the portions are a bit skimpy for the price you pay on the regular menu. The lunch specials are decently valued though. Service is slow and not too friendly.

Quite authentic Chinese Dishes. The owners are from Northeastern China region where noodle & dumpling are their specialties. The noodle soup was very good.

I was in town for a few days and looking for good, quick, inexpensive Chinese food to go. Got the 5.99 combo plate with hot and sour soup added for .50. I also got an order of crab puffs at 6/3.99 and an order of pork and pan-fried cabbage dumplings (~7.00 for a 10 piece order). I was not impressed with the service. I wasn't expecting a lot, but the two people at the counter gave the impression I was inconveniencing them, and they were not busy at all. The food took a while to come out, but not terribly long. Maybe it just felt longer because the environment didn't feel welcoming. I played it safe on the combo. The fried rice was decent. The Mongolian Beef was ok, if a little flavorless. The sweet and sour chicken was blah--just the chicken and a few thinly sliced peppers. I did appreciate that they packed the sauce on the side. The hot and sour soup was short on flavor as well. The crab puffs were ok. My kids liked them, but why wouldn't they? It's fried up cream cheese in red sugar sauce. So why do I even give this place four stars??? The dumplings!!!! You can tell they are fresh and homemade. The wrappers are moist and chewy, and the mixture inside was juicy with a nice flavor. And the size of them was perfect--somewhat smaller than you might expect, but full of meat and just the right size for two good bites or one big juicy mouthful. Yum yum yum. If I ever went back, I'd do to-go again and stick with the dumplings. I am picky about my dumplings, and these made the grade for me. Even my picky eater loved them. I look forward to trying other flavors!!

Soup broth is bland and flavorless. The dumplings are okay. Service was nice, never going back because of the terrible soup. Tucson really needs a good noodle house and this isn't it. I hoped it would be :(

The food was so so and the prices were good. Will I return, yes but will definitely be trying something else. I got the sesame chicken and it was kind of oily, mushy and way to sweet. The dumpling were good! My boyfriend got the curry chicken which was good. I'm giving them three stars because the sesame chicken was very very mediocre.

Huge portions - lots of leftovers - and the noodles have a unique, fresh taste and texture. Kid LOVES the eggrolls, which aren't too greasy and a good way to get him to eat veggies. The kitchen is able to make me egg-and-leak dumplings (no shrimp) 'cause I'm a vegetarian and the dumplings are still delish. Bums me out to read that people have had issues with customer service; that hasn't been our experience at all -- we order by phone and everyone who answers is really nice.

I only write reviews if a place is great or yelpers deserve warning. Alas, this is the latter. It was with great anticipation we went to what looked to be an authentic chinese noodle house opened on the east side. Finally! We tried the beef noodle soup and we dried the dumplings. The dumplings were passable. They said "home made"-- but I think that meant the chef took some dumpling wrappers he bought at Lee Lees and hand-wrapped the filling. (Dumplings are better at China Pasta House on Park.) The beef soup was just awful. This is supposed to be a noodle house-- it's right in the title. So why am I going to pay $8 for cheap undercooked ramen noodles bought at LeeLees that I could buy myself? It comes down to this: If you're going to be a noddle house, learn to make noodles from scratch. That's the only thing that makes chinese noodle soup amazing when cooked right, cause it is a very minimal dish and hinges on the broth and the home-made noodles. That's why you go to a noodle house. Moreover, the beef was cheap cuts, all tough and muscley. If you're gonna go there, you have to cook them enough to be tender. Broth was passable, at least not too salty or oily and lightly spiced. So why one star not two? I feel guilty doing this to a new business, but the service was just atrocious. The waitress never smiled and never even looked at us when taking our order. She didn't offer chopsticks (cause we were white?). Frankly, she seemed to not want to take our order. This was quite puzzling given there was at most one other table of customers in the whole place and they're a new restaurant trying to build a reputation. That just doesn't cut it when I can drive to Jun Dynasty or China Szechuan and be treated like a human and get better food. I noticed the dumplings were offered fried or steamed. I had to run back to verify they would make them steamed, as she never even asked which we wanted when taking our order. And for some odd reason she never gave us anything to serve the soup. So we had a large bowl of soup, some little bowls. But just tiny soup spoons to serve! I'd understand this kind of neglect if she had a dozen tables and they were packed. But this place was almost empty. It was us and another table. That's it. She was standing at the counter overlooking our table while we struggled to lap dollops of soup and noodles into the bowls, and didn't give a darn enough to come rescue the situation. Deplorable. You can get away with this if you're trendy and booked with customers. You can't have crappy food and terrible service if you're trying to build a restaurant.

I'm in town this weekend from San Diego, visiting my cousin at U of A. My family from Texas came to visit as well. We wanted some Chinese good and going lived in CA for a while I'm really craving some dumplings and noodle. So we look decided to hit up yelp and see what is good. After reading the review before mine I'm sold! So we drive down from Oro Valley to eat some of the best dumplings I've had in America, they hand make these fresh daily, the dumplings and noodle. This place is really clean, the owners are friendly, and of course the food is absolutely worth the drive from oro valley! We had house fried rice, pork and cabbage dumplings, pork noodle soup, and beef and fried noodles. Everything was fresh and tasty! The fried rice was one of the best I've had, and I've been to Hong Kong, this is authentic Chinese food. This family truly takes pride in their cooking and hospitality. They're running some pretty decent lunch deals from Monday-Friday, not sure what the time is from, but they are perfect for anyone at the university, $3.99 for one item plate, $5 something for the two item combo plate. Pretty great deal good for college kids out here and the food definitely is on point! If you're feeling a little hesitant I assure you this place is worth a try, you'll be back, and thinking about those awesome dumplings! If you're feeling sick from a cold stop in for soup, they put fresh ginger and garlic and it's very fresh and comforting.

The food here was delicious and the service was top notch. Don't be fooled by the strip mall location, and the fast-food looking dining area, this is a great place for a casual dinner. If you are eating in the restaurant, you can have a seat at a table and they will take your order from the table, you do NOT need to order at the counter! I had the chicken fried noodles and they were wonderful. It was a really good amount of food, this place will not leave you wanting a snack after dinner like some other Asian food restaurants! My fiance and I also ordered the dumplings, which were wonderful, but altogether we had so much food that we couldn't finish an entire order of dumplings. I will be back to this place often, I think it's my new comfort food favorite here in town!

Good food but the portion is small, was going to give 5 star if the portion is bigger and if the bathroom wasnt so unfriendly (if the portion is bigger I would overlook the bathroom condition). The noodle soup I had was a bit lacking in contents and the potstickers were small. Other than that I did enjoy the food.

Great prices and great food. We tried a bunch of stuff of stuff on a cold rainy day. The food came out at different times which is normally annoying, lucky for me my eating companions were willing to share their food. Very tasty and filling.

Very good food. We had orange chicken and beef and broccoli. Excellent flavor, not greasy, not too much sauce, and lots of broccoli. So far for us this is the best Chinese food we've had in Tucson.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
