I feel bad for all those who posted bad reviews. I am now in love with this place. Made me wish I had time to stay and tie one on. Walked in and it wasn't too full so I got a decent table. The kid brought me a menu and a drink right away. Waitress turned up pretty quick and didn't seem to mind answering my questions. Ordered the cactus chips (minus the hot sauce -I'm kind of a wimp) and a calzone. The chips are seriously one of the best things I've ever eaten. Calzone was pretty damn food too. Waitress kept checking up on me. The small crowd of happy hour locals looked like good fun too. Wish I lived close enough. I'd hang here a lot.

Great place to watch Sunday football :) The chicken parm was amazing the first visit we made last week, and the Florentine pizza was superb this time! Super fresh ingredients, perfect crust and flavorful sauce! Service was great both times, we will definitely be making this a regular spot to watch our sports! Next we are trying the wings!!!

HORRIBLE FOOD & SERVICE! We were greeted by a host who looked like he would rather be anywhere but there. We were then seated where there was still leftover food on the table and it was sticky. It took a long time for our waitress (Suzanne?) to come over to our table and she was rude. My brother asked a question about an item on the menu and she had such a condescending attitude. The food was nasty and way too overpriced. This place promotes "gourmet pizza" but it tasted like it was just reheated. My brother found a hair in his fries. We also heard some of the staff making jokes about another customer. HOW IMMATURE. We will never come back to Boston's. One of the absolute worst restaurant experiences.

This place has an excellent happy hour, which is something I really like. The food here is pretty tasty and not too expensive. The wife and I got the extreme pepperoni pizza, which was really good. Haven't tried anything else, so I can't give my opinions on their overall food quality, but then again this is a pizza place. The servers are generally nice and even when they are busy, their service is still pretty quick. Again, this place is your typical bar like restaurant, but that's not necessarily a bad thing if you like these kinds of places.

Thanks for the feedback reply, Bostons but I'm sticking to my review how I feel toward this company. It has been two weeks since I sent out an email to your offer about the movie tickets and have not gotten one reply back. No one should have to bother dealing with a restaurant that doesn't care for their customers. I'll stick with the usual bomb ass Pizza Hut and Dominos! :)

Same atmosphere as a Chili's or Applebee's. Our waiter was very friendly. The raspberry iced tea was good too. But the food, not so much. We ordered cactus chips as an appetizer, it looked like it was just thrown together. The chips were burnt and was not at all appetizing. We originally ordered bacon wrapped steak Skewers but they "ran out". Hubby got the jalapeno straw burger. While it looked good the meat had very little seasoning, and the jalapenos were all bunched on one side of the burger. I had the pasta Milano it also lacked flavor. The breadstick tasted like stale sandwich bread. Gave two stars because of the service.

I really like the Santa Fe salad and the salmon Caesar salad. The staff are friendly and attentive. I have been eating here several times a month for 3 years or more. Recommended for a well priced meal.

This used to be a favorite place but the quality has slowly declined. The bar used to be classy but now is littered with banners from the beer distributors giving it a dive bar look and feel. The beer selection has narrowed to the 'axis of evil', Bud; Miller; and Coors. If your tastes run toward flavorful craft beers, you won't find them here. Never mind that neon Bass sign on the wall they don't carry it, not even bottles. Pasta has always been a main stay on the menu but when we ordered macaroni and cheese, the cheese sauce tasted like canned Ro-tel. It'll be a while before we return to this former favorite.

I am big on food. It has to amazing for me to go back to a restaurant. This is not really one of those places. Positive: The waitress was amazing, very friendly and helpful with our huge family of 6. The restaurant was spacious and inviting. Great drink specials at certain times. Needs Improvement: The prices are ridiculous for the portion sizes. They pride themselves on their pizza and it was mediocre at best. I may go back to watch basketball or something but I will not be ordering food. Not worth the money

Went for happy hour and the prices were a little expensive. The food was okay. Not worth it though. Rather go to Chilis or Native New Yorker in the area.

Went during the lunch hour, so i figured i wouldn't be getting the "A" game, but service was really slow. The server was much more interested in the sportscenter program than in attending to any of the people in his section. The pizza was not the best. Cold in the center. The appetizers we ordered were clearly frozen and thawed in the microwave. Like i said i wasn't expecting much but got even less.

WHEN you call someone to follow up, talk a great game, and promise a fix to a situation, but then fail to follow up on what you promised! Leaves a bad taste in one's mouth! In short. My initial review stands and I will not be returning to this restaurant! Not good, not good at all! If you have no intention of following through, you should not make a promise! Very disappointing! UPDATE: There was a quick response from the owner's/managers! After a conversation with Toby Vieux I feel confident that when I return to try this restaurant again, it will be a much better visit. I found Mr. Vieux to be genuine in his concern, thoughtful with his reply and all around offered excellent customer service and follow-up. I will give them another shot, and perhaps a fantastic review. Till then We came here on a business lunch, arrived at quarter to one and did not leave till 3:20 p.m. Does something seem wrong with this? Our server acted if she wished she could be anywhere other then here. It took 35 minutes from the time we ordered until our first appetizer was delivered. We ordered the Pizza Fly Trio which is a florentine, deluxe and bbq chicken mini pizza's. The florentine was ok, but way too salty to eat more then one small slice. The deluxe was pretty good and the crust was perfect. The Bbq chicken pizza was the best of the 3, the sauce was slightly sweet with a touch of spice and blended well on our tiny pizza. For the main course I ordered the BBQ Bleu Burger, and let me add, BBQ and Blue cheese are two of my favorite things! The burger was cooked perfectly, however, they do not warn you that the slaw they generously add to your burger is HOT, HOT, so if you don't like spicy food, don't order this, there is no warning on the menu and the waitress didn't inform us either. The fries that come with the burger are decent maybe even good, however they lacked even the bare minimum seasoning, (they are called seasoned fries). In short, the food is pretty good, but the service is slow, slow, slow and not very pleasant to deal with. While we were waiting for our check, the server sat down and had a cup of coffee... Don't do a business lunch here, it just takes way too long. As a business owner, I can not afford 3 hour lunches with poor service and "OK" food. Eat and live well, till next we meet.

Boston's is good every time. Whether eating lunch with coworkers or dinner with the family, food is consistently good and prices reasonable. Servers and management seem to stay mostly the same people so they must like working there. Always a good sign.

This place is a hidden gem in the desert aka Marana - the place is usually quarter full- we have the same thing every time we come here, pepperoni and mushroom pizza and a side of bolognaise (meat sauce) which is awesome! I've been coming to Boston pizza since I was a kid 35 years ago when it opened in Edmonton, Canada! My favorite place -ever!!

Being from Boston we had to try it. Our Boston Terrier was welcome on the patio as well. The hostess was very nice and seated us right away. A server came to us pretty quickly and was very friendly and accommodating to menu questions. (I didn't order the salmon as it was farm raised - feel free to google this if you don't understand why that's bad). The decor and food was not representative of the city of Boston at all....I guess it wasn't supposed to be. Just a name I guess. The atmosphere was kind of blah, dark, tired and boring. Like a cheap corporate design was thrown together in the early nineties and never changed. The beer selections were good and were served cold. Unfortunately, we then got the food. It was total crap. Chicken parm had disgusting sauce with the breading falling off. I'm not a chef but I know that's not supposed to happen. The shrimp dish I had was swimming is some pre-packaged (I assume) curdling butter/salt sauce with a few overcooked vegetables in it. The shrimp wasn't cooked enough, but the pasta would have been edible if it wasn't swimming. Since we sat outside (with our Boston) we had to sit around about 5 smokers....yuck. Near the end of our stay a loud mouth employee came out and was using foul language with some customers she apparently knew. Way to go Red Sox shirt girl! The F word is usually not appropriate when its obvious that you work there. I can't imagine ever going back. This place needs an overhaul...maybe Gordon Ramsay or Robert Irvine. I've noticed that most of the other yelp complaints are about terrible food. It also looks like someone IS responding from Boston's. I think it's great to respond to them but it seems as though the problems are obvious and questioning specifically what people had isn't going to fix the problem. EVERYTHING needs to be fixed! Oh, one more thing. Although the server was very nice, when I asked if I could buy a Boston's beer mug (BEFORE I got my food) she suggested that I just steal them since management would probably say no.

The best things were the cactus chips and the pizza. The pastas lacked flavor. The service was so so. I liked the atmosphere. Was so excited to try the jambalaya fettucine but was disappointed. Had no flavor and the sauce was very watery.

Usually go here after a movie for a drink or appetizer. They have a daily happy hour from 3-8pm and all day Sunday. Think they have pretty good pizza, but don't recommend their wings. The manager, Toby, is the friendliest and most outgoing manager I've ever encountered. He makes me want to continue giving them my business. Plenty of TV's in the bar area. Overall a decent place to go, but service can be slow at times.

Visiting my mom in Tucson for the last 3 weeks and trying to eat at local restaurants. Mom and I had been shopping at Kohl's and when we were done my blood sugar was low and I needed to eat quick, so we decided to go to Boston's for lunch. It is always a challenge for me to find something that is both Gluten & Dairy Free when I go to restaurants that specialize in sandwiches and piazza. In most places the safest thing for me to order is some type of salad with a protein on it and a balsamic dressing or the basic oil & vinegar cruet on the side. I had a taste for ribs and did not not notice that I could order any piazza on the menu with a Gluten Free Crust for an extra charge. I ordered the full slab of ribs with the fries and a side salad with a balsamic Vinaigrette. The ribs were the perfect texture and the sauce was great, the fries were a little thin for my liking but they were still good. I would have preferred some more gluten free options. The Full Slab of Ribs was $20.49 which is a higher price then what I am used to in Elgin, IL. Back home a full slab at most similar type locations the cost is $17.99 -18.79.

First and only time I will visit this restaurant. The service was subpar with no communication, which is something I think is very important in a busy place such as Boston's. All you have to say is "I'll be right with you, thanks for your patience." Yet we waited too long for everything and without even so much as a word. And then on top of that the food wasn't even worth the price; the wings were decent, but the pizza was Peter Piper quality. Definitely a great disappointment.

  • Teri B.

Good drink prices. The bar is comfy but there's country music playing so no sound for the games that are on. I would skip the food here. They advertise gourmet pizzas but it's frozen dough and cheese and tastes like a frozen pizza. Wings were eh. My spinach salad had at least a cup of dried cranberries, half a cup of nuts and a whole cup of onions. It was not a salad for the healthy. The beer was nice and cold. Stick to the drinks! Our server was attentive and nice.

Biggest and coldest beer in town. Love it. The pizza is also the best I've had in Tucson. Great place to hang out.

We stopped in here one night after shopping. We ended up ordering their potato type skins with a cream sauce, cheese and bacon on them.. omg.. we couldn't even eat more than 3 bites because it was soooo rich. It tasted amazing, but wow. I took it home to my son in law & he actually cried when he tasted it. We also ordered their Tuscan pizza.. which tasted like vinegar.. not a winner. But the place has an amazing menu & we want to go back & try more things.. just wish the prices weren't so high.. very expensive!

The pizza here is pretty good we had an ultimate pepperoni and it was excellent. The Caesar salad was weak and the house salad was ok but our blue cheese dressing was not. The real problem came with our flat-bread pizza. We ordered the spicey chicken pesto and the they delivered a pepperoni chicken. The biggest issue was that our server insisted that this was what I ordered and when I disagreed, she immediately said she would get the manager. The kitchen manager appeared and said his assistant made a mistake and he would fix it. Well when the next flat-bread appeared the pepperoni was gone and it had poblano peppers on it but still not a speck of Basil Pesto as the menu stated. When I pointed it out to our server who brought it she admitted that she did know what pesto or basil even was. She took it back and in a short time the kitchen manager brought the correct pizza with basil pesto. No discount or coupon for a return visit were offered. we asked for a box and took the remainder home. We would give no stars for the staff and their handling of the problem. The restaurant has been open for a couple of months but they really need a whole new training program.

We have had the same server every time and the service is excellent. Pizza we like is a little pricey, but quality ingredients and way better than most fast food places. We have had the lasagna which was decent. Typical chain restaurant ambience. Full sports bar is isolated so game day and the restaurant are adequately separated. A no risk place for pizza.

What is this garbage? I sat by the kitchen and could hear the way these people treat each other. . No thank you I'll pass from this point on. pizza is terrible. .cheese was good but the crust and sauce taste like they were made by a first year cook. Hands down worst pizza in Tucson! And for the management team..treat your staff better..or keep it down so the dining room doesn't have to hear it.

  • Ashley J.

Pretty much gotta echo what everyone else has said. Quality is totally sub-par. Very disappointing, actually. The only reason they get 2 stars instead of 1 is that their bacon-wrapped steak appetizer thing was actually pretty phenomenal! Like, I wish I'd ordered 2 and just had that as my meal. It was almost worse, though, because we had this incredible appetizer, and then our entrees were downright gross. Seriously. Wish it were better because its close to home, but I won't be back.

First time ever stepping foot in Boston's - Nothing really worth rushing to try and the service was average, so unfortunately this will be a short review. I do recommend trying the Pizzaburger (Genius)! Nice size patty, with pepperoni and bacon smothered with cheese in a pizza dough crust - Creative and Tasty!!! We also tried the Cactus chips (Pretty Good) and a couple of their Pastas dishes. The Pastas seemed to be a little watery for me, but once we brought them home the sauce had thickened and tasted a lot better. It's gonna be a long while before I return, but when I do I'll update my review.

Good food. Best nachos EVER. Service is ok. They tend to be easily distracted and they don't check in on the table very often. Your drink may stay empty as long as 15 minuets before someone notices. The food makes up for a lot of the mediocre service though.

  • Christina R.

Overall, this place is decent. Nothing horrific... but nothing that knocks my socks off either. I don't know why I typed that. Sorry. Anyway. We started with house salads then split the Italian pizza. We must have been wearing our invisibility cloaks for a while there too because our server came veeeeery close to our table several times, without ever getting close enough for us to get her attention or for her to notice our empty drinks. But alas, we will be back. Hopefully without our invisibility cloaks next time.

My first experience with this restaurant was not the greatest because I wasn't a fan of the food, although the environment and customer service was awesome. My sister's and I went back and gave them another shot, and it was FANTASTIC! As always our server and the environment were pleasant, but the food was definitely an improvement. Everything came out on time and tasted amazing! My family and I will definitely be going back! I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a low-key and chill place to have some great food.

Proximity to me is great. Good place to watch a game with friends. Drink specials are meh but food is decent. Nornal for bar fare. Their pizzas are good and I have never had an issue there (the two times I have been there) in regards to service.

  • Montgomery B.

We have tried this place twice and been disappointed both times. The food is obviously reheated frozen items that are hit and miss on temperature by the time they reach your table. The service was mediocre at best. I will admit we haven't tried the pizza. (We like Old Chicago) but everything we did try was a letdown. It's a shame since it's so close to us and it would have been great to have another option nearby.

Here comes an essay, I'm warning you... This is one of those places I have to grade against itself. Yes, its a chain. Yes, its pricey bar food that's of better quality, variety, and portion size than you would get in say...an actual bar. And yes, it is ALSO an actual bar AND a restaurant that keeps both aspects separate so as to not ruin one group's experience by combining it with the other's. So with all those things in mind, this place has a lot to live up to because its supposed to be a lot of things. Furthermore, its a chain: ie the model gained a lot of popularity at some point, enough to warrant a second and a third location. If the place is not really that fantastic, then its like they never deserved such prosperity. And when the business model of an eatery is above and beyond the realization of that business model, then I think its completely fair to be hard on them. I had been here once before for pizza and beer in the bar. The beer especially during the happy hour is well priced. The pizza is very good, and somewhat unique among actual pizza joints. Its pricey but kinda worth it. It was at this time that I noticed the enticingly large menu and vowed to return for some other items. Tonight was that night... It was supposed to be a glorious night of gluttony and otherwise shameful activities involving food in public places. I was quickly turned on to the point that this was not going to be that night based on where they sat me. It was one of two tables in the dank pit. You know, that place right next to the bathrooms that makes you think "whoever designed this place and decided to put a table here was either an idiot or an asshole." I would have asked for a different table, but this just happened to be as close to the kitchen as it was to the bathrooms, and so I figured maybe my service would be faster and more attentive. Well, it wasnt, but Ill get to that later. Over all, the food was tasty and bountiful, but there was something noticeably wrong with every single aspect of the meal. Thats unforgivable as far as Im concerned. I started by ordering chips and queso. The flavor was good if you like that processed cheese kind of thing, which I do, so I didnt have a problem with that. It was, however, the most watery queso Ive ever had. So much so, that it couldnt for the life of it stay on the chips...just dripped right off, leaving the chip soggy, sad, and lonely. Poor chips. I then had the buffalo chicken calzone. This comes with seasoned fries on the side. Again, over all the flavor was good. The problem? The construction of the dish...let me try to explain. Their pizza dough here is what makes their pizzas unique and...good, to be honest. It has a particular type of crispiness that works very well with pizza crust. The difficulty arises when using this as a calzone dough because the outer crust is SO hard, in fact, that even with a serrated steak knife, it is impossible to cut. It also doesnt stick to itself prior to baking, apparently, so really what you get is more of a pizza that was folded in half, left open, and then baked to have a rock hard crust. Further, although it was tasty, I dont think it was anything I couldnt have made myself. For being buffalo sauce, it had pretty much no spice. The fries on the side were a shame. Although seasoned nicely, they were cooked improperly. They were soggy, floppy messes. The one upside of this was the ranch I ordered on the side to accompany them...they do have very good ranch here. Bars that pride themselves on their wings always do. Then theres the service. I received one refill on my water glass the entire time I was there, only because when he delivered my food, he noticed then. He couldnt have noticed any other time, because I never saw him at any other time. I got the distinct feeling while eating here that I was an inconvenience more than anything else. Finally, I chose to sit in the dining room, not the bar. There was a game on, but not a major one. Not even very many people packed into the bar to see it. But that didnt stop the loudest person in the restaurant from screaming and shouting with every touchdown. And who was this incredibly annoying, asinine meat head of a person? One of the chefs. Seriously, who runs a kitchen and lets that kind of bullshit slide? With that rounding out the experience, I was done. Box me up and get me the check. Was the food tasty? Yeah. Was there a lot of it? Yeah. And was it expedient? Yes it was. But was it worth it? No. Did the experience and/or flavor justify the cost? Hell no. For some normal restaurant, Id give 3-4 stars, but this is not one of those places. Its a place that holds itself to a higher standard, and so too then must I. Its supposed to be all these things, supposedly doing them so well to gain such popularity as to become a nation-wide chain, and in reality it accomplished none of these individual elements. Not worth my time, not worth my money, in spite of everything else.

Sorry Toby I had to...not because of the mix up on the table and I was ignored for at least 10 minutes but when we finally got our food it was bad. Really bad. If my 19 year old cant even eat half of a bacon cheeseburger that says it all...he just said it wasnt worth eating. My buns on my sliders were dry, the pork tasted so bad...My husbands french dip was ok but nothing special at all...the fries were good. :/ Meh. A waste of 35 bucks. I didnt even go back to use the "coupons for free drinks" the manager gave me.

This is a review of their Gluten free crust. I was suprized to see gluten free crust on their menu, I was expecting to have to order another salad. The option is available on most of their pizzas, and only in the small size for a $2 up-charge. It is good a good option. Under the toppings it works, however, when you eat just the crust by it's self it is bland, like many I have found; at least they are trying.

The Thai Calamari, the Spicy Chicken Pesto Flatbread and Hot Brandy Cream Pie rock. But not if you eat it alone. That meal has a whopping 2430 calories. Best shared. For the whole nutritional story of the selections see: bostons.com/uploaded/Fil…

This is our "go to" restaurant! We go out to eat with a group of friends every Saturday after church. We vary from 6 people to 12 people. Doesn't matter how many we are, we always have excellent service and the food is always good. They have a great menu, with enough choices to satisfy everyone. The staff always has a smile on their face, even while trying to figure out where to seat our large party without any prior notification of our arrival. They never let us down.......If you decide to eat at this family, friendly restaurant, you won't be disappointed!

  • Kyann M.

This isn't a terrible place to eat.....it just isn't very good either. We went on a Friday evening and had a short wait (less than 10 minutes). We ordered the meat and peppers pizza and were told that it would take about 30 minutes. Since we were hungry we asked for chips and salsa to tide us over. The chips and salsa and the pizza arrived at the table at the same time, which was about 15 minutes later. The pizza was passable, but if you're looking to eat pizza there are many other places that are much better. We decided to try this place because it's close, but we decided that we probably would never go there again.

While Boston's "Gourmet Pizza" has really good pizza, it has other qualities it should be known for. Happy hour is 3-8 everyday and all day Sunday. The bar area is separate from the dining area and is a great place to watch games or get a good drink with friends for cheap. Their happy hour menu includes beer, wine, well drinks as well as appetizers and $5 individual pizzas. They have really great pastas and salads. If you like shrimp, try their Shrimp Tortellini. If you like chicken, try the Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo. If you like sausage, try the Baked Tortellini. The Santa Fe Salad is probably the best one out of their selection, however the Mediterranean Salad is also surprisingly delicious. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the ribs, wings or burgers because I haven't ever ordered them. I have had friends who really liked the bacon burger and fries. It's a chain, however it is locally owned and operated and supports community activities and schools, such as "Meet me at Bostons" on Wednesdays, which is similar to "Meet me at Maynards." If you are ever displeased with the service or food, the management is always willing to listen and make your experience great and a lot of times they walk around to ask you how you are enjoying your meal.

Ate several times here. Last experience took over an hour to get served. Then they tacked on an automatic tip for a family of five and called us a party! Great food. Sucky service.

Food and staff are fantastic. A few of us have made it a Friday ritual to sit at the bar, grab a few pints and appetizers before heading to the movies. The bartenders have always been amazing. They know what we like and are quick to make us feel welcome. Bacon Wrapped Steak skewers are terrific.

Went for lunner around 2 pm. Immediately seated and given menus. Server was quick to get our order. We ordered a family size sicilian pizza, a small ceasar and small spinach/cranberry salads, and two iced teas. Salads came quickly, yummy, and no complaints. Pizza came soon after we finished our salads and we were all very impressed. Pizza was so yummy and wanted to keep eating it, even though we were all full. We eventually did, so nothing left to take home. Server kept our teas filled and checked on us a few times. I would go back again and order same thing. Prices were middle range as meal was $32 not including tip for three of us.

Ok, lets start with a caveat, I go here more than I should, and the following review WILL be skewed, and thats because my GF is a bartender/server here, so sue me! Now that that's out of the way, they have the BEST nachos I've ever had, any where. It's usually what I end up eating when I go. I've tried a couple of their other courses and found the food to be a notch above the average tasting food stuffs you find in chain restaurants. And their pizza is pretty dang good... with that said, it's a bit on the expensive side. The bar service is quick, probably because it's fairly empty at all times. However, I was their for a UFC fight last weekend and it was a ZOO! The bartenders seemed to keep up pretty well, though. The best thing about this place is they have a dinner and a movie deal with the theatre right next door, so its great for a nice quiet meal, then a movie date.

I want to start by saying that (#!1) I used to LOVE Boston's and that (#2) I NEVER bother to write restaurant reviews, good or bad. But this visit went sooooooo wrong So, Chili's or Boston's? I wanted their phenomenal Pizza Burger and they are known around town for having the big, coldest beers, so Boston's it is! Arrived happy, seated quickly, chipper waitress, fast waters, promised to be back in a minute to grab our drink order. WHAT? NO PIZZA BURGER ANYMORE? Fine, we decide we are going to try the "Dinner and a Movie". And then the wait begins... We watch our waitress flirting with the busboy as he cleans her tables. And in back while she enters her orders. And all around the restaurant except anywhere near our table. 15 minutes after getting our water and being ignored by our waitress, we ask the busboy to please let her know we are waiting when he comes near. 23 minutes after getting our water, I go to the front and ask for help. They are kind enough to get us a new waitress. 23 minutes exactly? How does he know that? Because we had opted to do the "dinner and a movie" special they offered, checked the times and were now on a schedule. Our new waitress seems great. She wants to do well and tries hard, but... Wife orders a margarita. I order a Mojito (featured on two pages in their menu). They are OUT OF MINT and can't make Mojitos! I order a beer. The special has a choice of 4 appetizers - Caprese Salad or Artichoke Hearts or Bleu Cheese Chips or Italian Nachos. We order the Bleu Cheese Chips and Caprese Salad. But the are out of MOZZARELLA for the salad so no salad. Mind you "out of mozzarella" and this is a pizza restaurant! So we order the Bleu Cheese Chips and the Artichoke Hearts. OUT OF ARTICHOKE HEARTS! So we end up with Bleu Cheese Chips and Italian chips for our appetizers. Sure they are tasty, but TWO TYPES OF CHIPS is all they can serve us. The apps came fast and the drinks came fast. But the drinks... The Margarita was served in a pilsner glass. Different. And the huge beer was served in a wet, luke warm glass. This place is known for their freezing glasses, but I get the glass that I think just came out of the dishwasher! So at the same time we ordered our entrees, we also order our desserts. Were have a choice of five different minis and we both choose the bread pudding. But... wait for it... they are OUT OF BREAD PUDDING! No more Pizza Burger. Warm Beer. Ignored for 23 minutes by first waitress. Out of Artichoke hearts and mozzarella (at a pizza restaurant). Out of Mojitos and Bread Pudding (all featured items on a slow Saturday). Could it get any worse? HECK YEAH! Wife's entree is quiet good, but mine... the chicken Milanese at a place that bills itself as an Italian restaurant... the potato chunk on my plate were apparently a frozen product before they were "cooked" because they came out cold and soggy. And I mean COLD. I bit into a few and they were filled with ice cold juiciness. Wish my beer had been that cold! Spinach salad dressing had barely any flavor and the breaded chicken breast was cooked well, but the lemon butter sauce it was supposed to come with. Not there! So it was a dry breaded chicken breast, cold potatoes, boring side salad. I point this out to my waitress and she offers to get me a new side of potatoes, but tells me that mine if her favorite dish and the chicken breast is NEVER served with any sauce or seasoning! She leaves to check with her manager. Comes back to apologize, because apparently it is supposed to come with sauce, but they are OUT OF THE SAUCE for my meal! Then she asks if I still want a new order of potatoes. Not, as one would expect, I would like an entirely new meal! She expects me to keep the plate with the cold potatoes and dry chicken and wait for more frozen potatoes! We say no, just bring us our bill. (Also, want to point out this a bar/restaurant and though we finished our drinks before we finished our appetizers, we were never asked if we'd like another drink) (And another point, the Manager never came over once to apologize or offer their condolences.) So we pay our bill (even leaving an okay tip for the crap experience) and get the heck out of there! Is the torture over? HELL NO! We were given two "VIP" movie tickets to the theater next door. We made it in time for our movie, but were told these "VIP" tickets were not good for any movies that started before 6pm! Boston's "Dinner and a Movie" special included tickets that could be used on the same freaking day you had dinner... unless you started eating at 4pm! WORST. DINNER. EVER.

Great atmosphere and great service! The Twisted Mac & Cheese is to die for and the Diablo Shrimp Pasta has an amazing spice that leaves you wanting more.

My husband and I took everyone who helped us move out to dinner here at my parents suggestion. The food was good; I had a flatbread pizza, unlike a lot of people talking on here, so maybe that was my saving grace. The waiter dropped my mother in-law's plate and my husband's best friend's plate, so they had to remake theirs. There was a little bit of confusion on my husband's friend's dish, because they gave him the chicken parmesan sandwich instead of the meal at first. Five minutes later, he gets a bunless version of the sandwich. Because the waiter dropped two plates, he comped two of our desserts; not a big comp, but it does make a body feel better.

I lived in Tucson from 2006-2009 and it was a great city. Not quite as great as Irvine, CA, but something about Tucson I miss. Maybe the wild, wild west uncivilized aspect of it. Almost like Mexico, but you can actually drink the water; although, I still drink bottled just to be safe. There's definitely more cactus than Irvine, and plenty more TPT too!!! OK - I'm heading to Tucson in a couple of days for work and I'm going to review a bunch of places in Tucson over the next week. Most of my reviews will be short, including Boston Pizza. Without further ado: This place sucks - I was comtemplating 1 star. My wife and I went there two times when we lived in Tucson. First time was a rare no tip experience, really... it was that bad. Pizza is like Dominos, except it tastes worse and is more expensive. Pasta and other stuff is nasty too. Beer tasted flat - maybe they didn't connect the keg right?? We also got a salad and the lettuce was nasty ass brown iceburg lettuce. Absolutely disgusting! When I complained, the waitress gave me attitude. Hmm. I don't recall exactly when Boston's opened, but they've been there for about two years now, I'd estimate. I'm shocked that they're still in business. Absolutely stunned. Just totally fucking shocked. In Awe. Bad food, horrific service, not cheap prices. Go somewhere else - but not Native New Yorker - I'll address that in another review.

I enjoy the pizza they have to offer. I live close enough that they can deliver. Not super impressed with their other dishes, but they are still good.

Blah blah blah. Nothing fancy nothing great nothing terrible. Wouldn't come here again. Wouldn't waste my time or money. I'd have to try something else somewhere else. If you like these sorts of chains, you may like this one.

Yes, it's a chain. And so you get the standard decor, huge plastic menus, blah blah blah.... But really the pizza here is fantastic! We usually get the Sicilian and add banana peppers. Yeah, I just drooled a little. (don't tell anyone!) The salads are good too. But the wings leave a lot to be desired. It's a little pricey for chain restaurant pizza, but it is worth it!

For a chain, this place really has a neighborhood bar feeling to it. The food is good, but the bar is where this place really shines. The Happy Hour is awesome! For 5 bucks, you get the biggest damn beer you have ever seen, and there is always some type of shot special. The Bartenders are Fantastic, especially Cecilia. She is definitely one of the best in town. She really knows how to treat a customer and I have never had an empty glass in front of me when she is bartending. I would rate the restaurant 3.5 stars, however I would definitely rate the Bar 4.5 stars or 5 stars if Cecilia is working. So, I averaged the rating to 4. P.S. This place is the best place in town for PPV Fights.

Not bad for a chain... I have never had a bad meal here. Nice place to go either before or after a movie at the Tower Theater. Good bar food, hugh selection on the menu and it all is pretty tasty. Good place to meet and hang out with friends. Try the pizzas or the pasta.

Ate at Boston's for lunch on 12/03/2012 ordered the Asian Glazed Salmon and they brought out chicken. The server took back the plat and brought out what looked like boiled Salmon without the glaze. The service was awful. I will never go back.

We decided to eat at Boston's on Valentine's Day because we had a Groupon. It had been a toss up between the Chili's nearby and Boston's. We decided on Boston's after noting the Chili's had a huge crowd with people waiting outside. From experience we knew that could be a multi-hour wait to be seated and another hour for food to arrive. We were pleased to be greeted immediately upon entering by a friendly hostess who seated us immediately in a quiet corner of the restaurant. The noise level was quite acceptable for a casual dining establishment despite the restaurant being nearly full. Unlike so many of these places they separate the "sports bar" crowd from the dining crowd so the alcohol inspired noise is not intrusive. (It's is one of my pet peeves with Applebee's which is so loud when busy you can't hear yourself think!) The menu is extensive, far beyond just pizza and includes everything from burgers to pasta to sandwiches and ribs. We chose the Italian Trio. The portions were excellent even if they were served on a platter that was slightly too large and made them look smaller than they really were. For drinks we chose their Raspberry Iced Tea which was probably the best we've had at a casual dining place and the lemonade which also tasted very fresh and bright. We opted for two cocktails, the SoCo Hurricane and the SoCo Breeze. The Hurricane, despite being made with real juices was overly sweet and tasted more like a Hurricane mix than a classic Hurricane as served at Lafitte's or the better New Orleans bars. (Think a really bad Pat Obrien's mix cocktail.) The Breeze was much better with a smooth flavor with hints of almond and orange. We opted for the Boston's Hot Brandy Cream Pie for dessert. It was very good and a generous portion although to be honest I've had better Boston Cream Pie. The pastry cream left a little to be desired and was slightly too custardy and gelatinous rather then light and airy. Next time we might try the Chocolate Ganache Cake instead. Although for a casual dining establishment where the desserts are pre-made and thawed out for serving rather than being made by a pastry chef, it was quite acceptable. All in all it was a pleasant dining experience for a casual dining restaurant and we'll probably be back at some point. They also offer a movie special with the theater nearby (which is our favorite in the area) which features a three course meal for two plus two movie tickets for $35.

I just go for the deep fried raviolis. The food is so, so....to each their own at this place, but if I were a beer drinker I am sure it would be a great place to have one.

Tried this place twice and struck out both times. Nothing and we mean nothing tasted good at Boston's. Can you say blah? This place is taking up prime business space. Then again so is Chili's next door. American crappola.

Amazing food!!! I will go back time and time again. The food is to die for. The dinner and a movie deal is the best around!! At the end of your three courses you get two complementary movie tickets. Sunday has happy hour all day... Plus they serve the legal limit of beer at one time. That's right..32 oz. Of pure goodness!!!

I was there with a large group; we got there late near kitchen closing time. However, the staff was great! Very attentive and understanding. Good pizza and sides.

my husband and I came across Boston Pizza in Tempe last year by accident. We were looking for a different sports bar nearby and couldn't find it. We love pizza and beer and thier pizza, sauce, and dough are just the way we like it. We just got back from a week's vacation in Scottsdale and after trying a few dissapointing places for pizza, we ended up at Boston's again. The pizza was great again! We didnot even know that there was a Boston Pizza place in Marana as we live by Sabino Canyon, but we will make the trip out to Boston's for pizza and a micro beer very soon. JG

Went to the bar 3 years ago when they opened. Service was bad and food was only OK. I didn't mind so much because it was new and most newly opened places have bugs to work out. I went there with my family last night for the first time since. There were 3 people at the hostess both (sometimes 4)-seemed to be the "hangout". We were the only ones waiting to be seated and the dining room was pretty empty. It took over 6 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us, then another couple of minutes for two people to figure out where to seat us. Our waiter was very good but it took FOREVER to get any food. I drank three iced teas before I even got an appetizer. The wings were great though. Our entrees took forever. There were people that got their food next to us that came way after us. The fish and chips my friend got was great. The burger another got was just OK, and the chicken chipotle sandwich I got just down right sucked! I took the dry char-burnt chicken off and used a piece of my friends fish and made a sandwich...now that was good! Overall, the service sucked, and the food was only OK. It is surely not a place i will go back to eat. Maybe to the bar for wings and beer will be alright, but forget the rest!
