I believe rating a limited-menu fast-service chain is of little value, if any, for a few reasons. We are all likely to know lots of folks who have eaten there who will share their opinions and experience with us. A stranger's opinion probably won't add much to that. Typically such places have uninspired average food designed to appeal to the masses. The differences between competing chains are often insignificant overall. At the end of the day, each of us has to just try the chain and see if we like it or not, and which ones best appeals to our individual personal preferences. Here again, reviews from strangers won't help us. The exception to this is letting others know if a particular location does not deliver what other locations typically do. Or, if they get it right, or exceed expectation over and over. Basically, if you patronize a chain and one location is either a gem or a screw-up, everyone should know. A stranger's experience could help in that case. With that said, this review is about this one location's performance. To start, when done right, I like Papa John's. * The pizza is reasonably tasty for my family (maybe not as good as Bill's or Park Plaza Deli, but decent none-the-less.) * The value is exceptional - they have the best specials, which we always take advantage of. Particularly, their online ordering and REWARD program is unparalled (I belong to every local chain's reward and email clubs. They range from pathetic to worthless. Maybe even annoying. Not Papa John's - it's great! (Join and find out!) The only downside for some is the menu is a bit limited compared to a Domino's or Pizza Hut. I don't care about that. So... What about THIS LOCATION?? It is a franchise that, in my opinion, is a model for any franchise of any type. Simply put, they are outstanding! I cannot count the number of pizza's we order here. Let me just say that it has been frequent enough and for long enough that they know us by face and by name. And they and greet us so when we come in to pickup our orders. The food is well prepared and consistent. The service is fast and extra friendly. They rarely screw-up; and on the rare occasion they do, they are sincere, apologetic and fast to make it right. This place actually cares about their customers and it shows. What more can you ask for in a chain operation? I decided to finally write this review after a surprising and unsatisfying experience with the Papa John's on 3rd & Thomas in Phoenix recently. (read my review on it) After that debacle, I decided I needed to let local Yelpers know how lucky we are to have just a great local Papa John's location. I regularly proselytize face-to-face with friends and coworkers about this location as well as the online ordering and rewards program. I will continue to do so. To all of the staff at this location: Thank you! And keep up the good work!

Great customer service not to mention great pepperoni with 3 cheese pizza. And the delivery driver was so nice and polite. This is the place to "get it your way."

Yesterday I ordered a pizza for myself and all my employee's. I ordered the pizza at 11:10... At 12:20 i called to see where it was at, they told me it was just going in the oven. At 1 p.m. we called again to see the status of our pizza, as we were starving by then, and they told us once again it was going in the oven. At 1:40 I had enough and called them once more to only get told once again that it was just getting into the oven. At this point I asked the person on the phone if I should just get food else where for my staff and he had nothing to say!!! So I got a little bit angry and hung up. I called back to talk to a manager, was on hold for 5 minutes and asked him what had taken so long. He blamed it on everyone else who worked there and never offered to bring us a pizza or anything, mind you this order was almost placed 3 hours ago! Angered we went to taco bell to get quick fast food as we were beyond the point of starving. While at taco bell they forgot one of our burrito's, and gave us free cinnamon twists. They did more than the manager at papa johns did. I got a call later that day, It was a guy from corporate who let my story and frustration be told and is sending us pizza coupons... So if your in a rush, DO NOT order pizza from here! The pizza may taste great but the service is crap!

Ordered by phone for pickup. I said I wanted "An extra Large with Lots of toppings". She said she would have it ready in 15 minutes. She had it ready on time but when I opened it at home I at first thought I had the wrong pizza. All I saw at first was pepperoni and olives. I found other toppings on closer investigation but was still really disappointed. The pizza as usual tasted great but when I ask for toppings that is really what I want. I still will be buying more pizza from them but this time I was not able to give them the outstanding review their pizza usually deserves.

I ordered a medium spinach alfredo pizza with chicken, and green peppers. Different taste than anyother pizza I tried.

Sorry. I know pizza is a personal thing, but Papa John is limp and the flavor is less than pleasing.

Who has "the best pizza in Prescott"?. "The Best" usually means taste. In Prescott I have had pizza from Tastebud's, Rosa's, Mama Edda's, Gurley Street Grill, Streets of New York, Genovese's, Bill's Pizza, Park Plaza, Pizza Hut, Lil' Caesers, Domino's, Costco, Papa Murphy's, and Villa Pizza. With all the pizzas my family eats, our "GO TO" place is Papa John's, even though I don't consider it "the best." Over time, the food has been consistent, on time (both carry out and delivery) and the service is very good. A little extra exclusive that we especially like is the garlic butter dipping sauce for the crust that comes with every regular crust pizza. I'm not a fan of cheese pizza. However, the Tuscan Six Cheese is outstanding. Another favorite is The Big Bonanza, which is a BBQ based pie that won a national contest for customer created recipes. Other pizza are decent, but I could not recommend the white sauce pies. My personal favorite is the thin crust pizza, which is for my taste one of the better thin crust pizzas I have tasted. It comes with a packet of seasoning to shake on which is better than the homemade "pizza shake" that we keep on hand for all pizzas. However, it takes 2 thin crust pies to equal one regular crust, so I don't order those when feeding my teens. One last bonus is that if you take advantage of the ubiquitous promotions Papa John's has, you cannot get a lower cost pizza unless you go all the way to Costco. Yes, even cheaper than Lil' Caesars. With about 5 hours of research on all the places mentioned above and a massive Excel spreadsheet used to vet the value of size/weight vs. cost, you can trust me on this. (Yeah, I'm a bit OCD that way)

Screwed up the order then said I gave wrong address. It was correct, the driver went the wrong house. Then said I gave them the wrong phone number, same number they have had for over a year.
