Are you kidding me? So rude even when they effed my order not just once but two times to the point where I had to get out of my car and go in, then only to receive further rudeness and scarcasm! I'm surprised this location get so many high reviews since I have been going here for years and this is the SLOWEST Starbucks EVER! Is this the location where they train people on rush hour shifts? NEVER going back here! I will go out of my way to avoid this crap location! ALSO, just an FYI... I had called Starbucks Corp and learned that they have implemented a policy to NOT give out complimentary drink cards when the service is subpar or they get your drink wrong multiple times! So now with the 100th price increase in 2 years and this new policy, Starbucks is sure to make even more ridiculous profits as we keep lining up to hand over a lot of money for what? an OK coffee and some convenience? I for one will think long and hard about my willingness to shell out $5 or more dollars to a company who have clearly dominated the land and now don't have to worry about giving acceptable customer service or beverages! I will be thinking and drinking locally, which I should have been doing all along...shame on me!

Starbucks is Starbucks is Starbucks all the world 'round. Know what you will get. Know they will spell your name wrong and the coffee will taste like it always does. Love the app where you can pay and tip w/o using cash or card. Also love love love the Cool Lime Refresher green coffee drink for after yoga - yummy. They give you what you want, what you expect and do it in an efficient and friendly manner. They are mighty tasty too. I will always go back. Can't help myself. They were one of the first chain coffees and you get used to a certain flavor and taste. Starbucks always delivers. Drive thru is a bit of a pain in the ass though and slows down the whole bean process. I prefer to go in, hear the music, smell the coffee and see them make my order.

GRAND OPENINGGGGGGGG This Starbucks is not your ordinary Starbucks. This place is so big. I love the patio. The wooden table with the stools is so cute. I love the staff. Everyone is so friendly. I am going to go broke with this place, its on my way to work, its a drive thru, it's just perfect.ahhhhhh

  • Zach F.

Do NOT go here. The baristas are extremely rude and lack even an iota of customer service understanding. For as much money as these locations rake in, they shouldn't be limiting bathroom use to anyone, let alone pregnant women who urgently need to go. Worse yet, they will refuse to sell you coffee just to make sure you can't use their bathroom. Unbelievable. You would think that a place that sells highly caffeinated beverages would understand that people need to pee. Evidently this place doesn't. Don't go here. Take your business to another coffee shop that doesn't have their toilet privileges locked down like Fort Knox and forces customers to beg to go pee after drinking their overpriced coffee.

Slowest. Starbucks. Ever. Consistently. Very frustrating location. Better to head down the road to the next Starbucks, or, better yet, support local businesses!

I popped by this Starbucks because I wanted a scone. I appreciated that the calorie count was posted. Since I last had a Starbucks scone, they've changed the shape of their scones and the barista warmed it up without asking me. I don't like warm scones. I like their old scones better - at room temperature.

My coffee is always good here. The service is great and I enjoy taking the extra long drive just to make it to this location.

Clean, fast, friendly! What more could you want? Minus a point for the location. I had to dodge 3 random people aimlessly walking/riding bikes around the parking lot. It's a while lot of the kind of people who aimlessly wander the Fry's parking lot next door. It's right next to a light rail stop in a shady part of town. Aaaaand I forgot to ask for my drink cold...they didn't ask but I don't have the heart to ask for it to be different because the lady was so nice. Thankful for a good hazelnut macchiato near by.

Really good staff here. They treat their regular customers as friends, as is the Starbucks way. If the indoor decor is ever updated, that will be a plus.

This Starbucks Coffee near 44th Street and Thomas is one I go to occasionally. The thing about Starbucks is if you go to one, you've been to pretty much all of them. I used to be a former partner too, so I know the deal.

Meh. It's Starbucks. The coffee sucks, the drinks are way overpriced for what they are, and all the money goes to a corporation. Go down the street and buy coffee from Copperstar and at the same time support the community you live in.

I usually don't like to review Starbucks because there's too many of them, but the baristas here are very nice and they deserve to be acknowledged. This Starbucks location gets a "fan" rating not because of the coffee, but the great speedy service even when they are busy. Now as far as the coffee goes, I don't really care for it because I think it's too strong, but their Chai Lattes are awesome. I usually come here before I drop off my clothes at Regal Cleaners. It's right across the street from it. I've always had good service here and with free wi-fi, how could you not love it? Overall, always a great experience. Props to this Starbucks for knowing how to handle their flow!

Slow, discombobulated, poorly laid out inside (serving the drive thru requires going back and forth thru narrow area where inside customers are being served from).

This is my go to Starbucks. All of the staff are great ! Especially Matt who is always so friendly and such a pleasure to see. He's one of those people who brighten up your day. The lines are very long in the morning but other than that everything else is great. They also ever rarely mess up my order which happens most of the time at other Starbucks I go to.

This is my neighborhood Starbucks|This is where ishhh gets done|Coffee|Netbook|StockMarket|Applying to Gradschool| Barista of the Store goes to BEN. Ben is a burly man full of smiles and very productive in his craft. Seems like an honest hard worker. Knows my drink, so I don't have say it...which isn't that confusing. I have met a few other 'istas...they seem nice and genuine. As in anyplace, you go long enough and your relationship with the establishment grows to a deeper relaxation and realization. Still miss my most favorite cafe on the west coast...Albina Press in PORTLAND, OR. I'll be seeing you soon friend once the rain gets done. This places makes LUX look like the little red headed step child....with no soul. R\_ Note: If you like sitting outside, like most the people that come to this location....you will have to insert you alpha male ego to boost a table. May the best coffee drinking, liberal minded, pacifist win! that would be a joke to watch...

I usually go through the drive-thru on my way to work; not sure why, as it's always extremely slow. Nice folks work here, however, and it's convenient. SO expensive! Seriously--60 cents for soy milk instead of dairy? I really should stop.

Being a Washington State girl, I am obligated to love Starbucks. And I do for the most part. I think I love the IDEA of Starbucks more than the actual coffee. I love their story and the history of the company. I love the green straws. It is branding at its finest and since I am in Marketing...blah, blah, blah. I am missing locally owned and operated corner coffee stands. I cannot believe these are not popular here in Phoenix. The drinks are usually much better, cheaper, and most offer punch cards to earn a free drink. Anyhow, this Starbucks is kitty-corner from my office...sweet! The staff is friendly and funny-ish. I'm sure I will know all of their names in no time at all.

I just had to up this Starbucks one more star because the surly dude who works there isn't half as bad as I previously described him. He is just who he is... a little curt, but also kind of funny in a Joe Pesci-kind-of-way. And, I am thrilled to say that I L-O-V-E their seasonal Carmel Apple Spice drink! It is delicious! But, in all honesty, I still can't give any Starbucks more than three stars. Yes, I go there for an occasional mocha or seasonal drink, but they are soooo overpriced, and their coffee is just not that great. The hype of Starbucks bothers me, but I'm a sucker for branding, so I guess I'm a hypocrite. Oh well.

I really am never one to complain, as I was a Starbucks barista for 2 years and I still work in the food and beverage industry. I understand that mistakes happen and the ins an outs of being a busy Starbucks barista are all too familiar to me. However, that being said, I drive through this location every morning at 6:30 am and order my drink. An iced quad venti nonfat extra ice stirred caramel macchiato. 2 of them actually. I moved to 7th avenue in January and was quite impressed. They always got it right and they definitely know how to keep the drive thru moving at busy times. But in the past 2 months my drink is almost never right. I have sent it back and asked for a little more syrup or caramel as it is usually too bitter, and still, it comes out too bitter the next morning and the next morning. I love my drinks and I love this company. Everyone is always friendly and prompt but I really just felt the need to express this, as $12.02 is my daily coffee budget and is my treat to myself daily. So I had to speak up.

I mean, it's a Starbucks. So, on the one hand, it's the same old thing. On the other hand, you know what you're getting is a reliably consistent product. This Starbucks, though, is near and dear to my heart as it's just a hop and a skip away from the house I lived in for four years. I have spent more time at this particular Starbucks than I'd like to admit. It's got a decent sized seating area on the inside and a large patio area to enjoy those sunny Phoenician days. The lighting is perfect for working and reading - not too glum, not too bright. The baristas here have always been friendly and super courteous, and attractive to boot. Go, enjoy, and let the shop know I'll be back.
