My family and I were here for dinner during our stay in Page, Arizona. Our hotel, the Rodeway Inn was about 100 feet from the front entrance of the restaurant and therefore at the end of a tiring day of sightseeing, we took it easy and dined here. We arrived at the restaurant at about 9:25 p.m. and after looking at the menu and checking the price of entrees (~$15), we decided that it would be best to go for the buffet, which was priced at ~ $12. All of us in our party that evening eat meat and seafood and we found a good number of options to choose from. There were the usual Chinese staples such as Kung Pao Chicken, Beef with broccoli but also a few other dishes such as Curry Chicken, Grilled Salmon, Grilled cod, etc. that are not necessarily as common. However, had we been vegetarian, we would have had very few options to choose from and I don't think the buffet would have been a viable alternative. The one area where I would definitely say that there were few options is the dessert section. There were no cakes, cookies, brownies, or fruit salad, or even any kind of rice pudding. The only desserts I remember were some cantaloupes (from a can) and a sweet mishmash of bananas and strawberries. Both dishes were eminently forgettable. In terms of the taste of the food, I think it was probably better than the average Chinese buffet I have had over the years. The rest of the members in my party - my wife, my father-in-law, and my brother-in-law seemed to enjoy the taste of the food even more than I did. However, one complaint we had was that they did not replenish all of the items and one item that I wanted to have in particular - a baked seafood cake, had run out even when we started eating at 9:30 and was never replenished. What set this place apart (in a bad way) was their lack of sophistication and inattention to customer service. Let me explain. As I mentioned we were seated by 9:30 and the restaurant closes at 10:00 p.m. No sooner was it 9:58 or so, that an entire army of kitchen staff seemed to descend on the buffet station and start removing the dishes. (I have no doubt that everyone of those items would also be a part of the next day's lunch buffet.) There was no consideration paid to the fact that we were still eating. Thankfully, most of us had what we needed on our plates but then again, I was the only one who managed to get to the dessert(s) in time. As we were finishing up our food, we found that the staff started mopping the floor and vacuuming even though it could have been no later than 10:05 or 10:10 at the very max. As we exited the restaurant, we kept joking that had we stuck around for a few more minutes, they would have undoubtedly handed us a mop, asked us to clean the area around our tables, and turn the chairs upside down on our way out. To add insult to injury, they also added a 15% tip to the check notwithstanding the poor service. Would I come back again here? Well, if I were in the general area and really wanted to pig out on a modestly priced Chinese buffet, then I wouldn't dismiss this place but other than that, I would easily pass on and try out a different place in the area.

The worst Chinese buffet ever in AZ. With very few dishes available, the most depressing thing here is that they charge my tips without my permission. Btw, I argued this with a waiter, he was quite unfriendly. Definitely not recommended. The waiter left me a msg trying to beautify their demeanor of unauthorized charge. He explicitly stated in reply their restaurant assumes Chinese and other Europeans would not give tips habitually, and this is his reason to charge 15% tips in advance. Shame for this restaurant.

First of all, they did remove the charge for tips now so you can tip them as you'd like. Their food selections were very minimal with all the basic Chinese dishes for $11.99 dinner and $9.99 lunch. So don't expect too much, especially if you just got there after one of the Las Vegas buffets, you would be big disappointed

They charged us for 18% of tips for a lunch buffet without letting us know first. Services were bad. Waiters and waitresses were not friendly at all. Taste of food was ok but selections were very limited.

This seems like your basic Asian buffet setup where the tip is already included and the food was dry. Not sure if it was a coincidence or if we showed up at the wrong time. Trust me, as for food goes, you have a better option dining at the other Asian food establishments around town.

This buffet got the "picky Asian parents" seal of approval, so at that point, you know it's pretty good. We were pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this place in a small town like Page! + Food is cooked well and tastes good! + Staff is very polite and attentive. They keep a close eye on the food levels and heating. +/- The variety is not mind-blowing, but it definitely covers your standard Chinese buffet foods, American foods, salad, fruit, and dessert. There are three long tables worth of food. + Lunch buffet was only $10!! Still, the parents noted that it was a great value, and I definitely agree. :) We were here around their grand opening, and I hope they keep up the quality!

Sorry, but no, no, no. Looks to be a newer place but I did not enjoy the food compared to other Chinese places in Phoenix. Service was good.

Poor selection of Chinese food and food is NOT kept hot leaving potential for food poisoning.. Priced too high & no ambiance. While we were there, one couple complained that food was cold & left without eating or paying. Be wary of 15% gratuity for party of 3 or more. Service was good but food & management has real problems. We live local and once was enough for us... we won't be back.

Really yummy Chinese green beans, fried rice and seafood delight on the buffet- polite servers and a wonderful all you can eat buffet for lunch. Don't know why others had such a negative experience. Maybe it's different for dinner.

Actually the worst Chinese food I've ever had. I have had Chinese food all over the world and love it. They just try to take advantage of all the tourists from europe. Even though their sign said tip will be added for 5 more they added it on for 3 and then 15%. I told them a buffet doesn't warrant 15% girl didn't care. I'd rate.less than 1 star if I could.

My family and I visited Page and stayed at hotel next to this restaurant. Here is my experience: we had to take chopsticks, folks, napkins...by ourselves. it is a real "Buffet". Our cups never got refilled, nobody took care of us. but when we checked out, we were still atomically charged 15% tips. when I complained the worse service I got to the cashier, an employee even tried to attack me. other employees were very rude. For the food, there were very limited choices, and the food didn't test fresh and like leftovers. all are not worth the price. You can easily find other places for lunch or dinner in Page, pass on this restaurant, which is not worth your money and time.

No stars. This place is the worst place in the world. I will never eat here again. $53.00 for three people at a lousy buffet. Do not eat here. It is a big rip off. Had to give a star because yelp wants you to.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
