For Overgaard, I give Wild Women Saloon a 5. I have been here 10 times, and this would be a different story if this were in PHX. beer even though no IPA's on Tap. Excellent Sandwiches and wraps. Wings were shockingly good. For a relaxing lunch with a beer or a casual dinner, we love it.

This place has slid so far downhill, it's not worth your time or patience to visit. This place has a captured audience from the WorldMark Timeshares that it shares space with in Bison Ranch. The food is average on a good day, the prices are ridiculous considering nothing taste very original or actually made....just tastes warmed up/pre-cooked. New owner doesn't give a shit obviously since he hires nothing but local female airheads who have no clue on customer service. The bar is quaint, but so damn thin that a dozen people in it feels like a crowd. The housekeeping makes you think twice about the food (go around back and see what we WM owners have to endure every visit). I have given them too much money and way more patience and received nothing but frustration in return.......on MULTIPLE occasions. I just recently was at Bison for a stay and gave it one more shot......only to watch people who walked in 30-40 minutes after me, get served meals more complicated than my order, before me. Yes Keith, I'm the one who walked out after being stiffed on my order.......after I ordered it! HA! This is a shitty restaurant and boorish bar with no class, no identity, and no clue on how to run a restaurant......which makes it suspect as to what they're really doing there to keep the doors open, because it ain't their service, their prices, or their food. Keith, get a grip on this worsening shithole and make it into a place the resident guests would come to again and again. You have options in town, and many more in the Show Low, Pinetop/Lakeside area.......exercise them before you feel the need to write a review like this. Good luck.

Nestled within the tourist trap of Bison Ranch, Wild Woman Saloon is decidedly less wild than it sounds. Well, unless you are looking for the least atmospheric, most brightly lit saloon or mediocre grill. Our waitress who greeted us clearly in no way whatsoever hated her job or us for being a part of it. But maybe it's in no small part because we started our relationship with a mixed drink order. Which, it turns out, is not the bartender's responsibility but rather our waitress'. She had to look up the recipes. I'm not sure what the bartender's responsibilities were, in hindsight. The food was decent, above average even. Not anything to write home about (but, you know, enough to write to Yelp about). The portions are really large. My poor impulse control coupled with my mixed drink order meant I ate everything and then regretted having done so the rest of the evening. Per another poster's comment, the fries are indeed good. However, I'm not sure about the "special dipping sauce" he referred to. As, when I asked about said special sauce, I was referred back to the ketchup on my table. It's possible that poster was Canadian. Maybe ketchup is "special" in Canada.

Great good, portions, prices and atmosphere. Nice people too. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

My wife and I were staying on property at Bison Ranch so it was a given that were were going to give the Women a shot. They did not disappoint. Their saloon fare and pub grub are well prepared and thought out. My wife made her birthday dinner of the meatloaf which she judged highly over the norm. And her vegetable side was deemed perfect. I had the half slab of ribs (6) with baked beans, slaw and OMG fries. The ribs are smoked on site, right off the back porch and the scent permeates the air on the village green. They were fall off the bone tender but slathered in an unimaginative bottled sauce to finish, The beans and slaw were mediocre, but the fries...those batter dipped demons that you just know are evil. The portion was way generous and they were done perfectly. Not so the following lunch when they were under done. Yes the ladies were good enough to visit a second time. My fries at that sitting came with their specialty smoked tri-tip sandwich which was bountiful and gorgeous. The fries this time were undercooked, The Missus had a half cup of soup/sandwich combo with chicken and dumpling soup and a patty melt. All were deemed *just fine and perfect.* Most every place in town has just enough staff to keep the doors open and at both meals the dames done good, considering. The offerings were satisfactory and reasonably priced. Without a doubt, future trips to this getaway will include another visit to this emporium. They even hosted some real, live cowboys while we were there.

The food is delicious, the atmosphere is awesome, and the staff is very friendly! Definitely worth the trip!

This is more of a tourist place, just for looks. Over all the food is not that great and the prices are very high. Staff is not very friendly.

I used to love this place. Wing Wednesday was a regular occurrence for our family. However, the last time we went in will be our LAST. We were ignored by all of the wait staff. The owners wife even ignored us. We finally flagged the bar tender down and he told us he would find us a waitress. About 5 minutes later he returned and said he guessed she was too busy (Anastasia-the "waitress" was outside on the patio talking/flirting with a large group of young men.) he took out order and brought our food but never check if we needed anything else. The food was mediocre at best. It's truly unfortunate that this happened since we are locals and went just about every week. It is my hope that the service will improve otherwise the word will continue to spread and they restaurant will suffer.

We stayed in the Bison Ranch and went to the Wild Women for dinner with our two kids. The food was very good (the bbq ribs were great!) and our waitress was very friendly.

This was my first trip to Heber-Overgaard. We stopped in at Wild Women for a snack. We each got the chicken tortilla soup. It was barely edible. It came from the kitchen at room temperature. I had to send it back to be zapped. It was still inedible and filled with soggy chips. If I came back, I would order something different but we both wanted something tiny....a cute place. This area needs restaurants so please keep patronizing it!

The little stop in Heber/Overguard Arizona that is between Payson and Show Low. A surprise to find amongst a cliche Bison Ranch tourist trap attempt. While Bison Ranch does not have much to draw you in this is a decent spot to stop for lunch and drink.

My wife and I entered expecting the worse but was pleasantly surprised by the good service and even better food. Understand it's not a five star fine dinning establishment so if you go there expecting that naturally you will be disappointed. The bacon cheese burger was perfect and the fries were some of the best I have ever had.

Excellent service! Said hello when we entered. And before we tool off our jackets the bartender greeted us an took our drink order. We had the pulled pork and ribs which are smoked in house and we're nothing but outstanding.

Stopped here for dinner, on a Saturday. We were glad to find out they had a dining area in the back, as the bar was kind of cold and loud. We had steaks (New York Strip and Ribeye) Baked potato was good, with sour cream and butter. Veggies were string beans (glad to have my veggies for the day) The steaks were OK, but both were over cooked (my medium well was more like well done, and my hubby asked medium and got medium well). Staff was prompt and friendly. We may be back...

I have to say, I am extremely disappointed. We've been back 3 times since the original review, all of these were without the kids. The second time we both had prime rib, they were ok, fatty, they weren't cooked to our request, the veggies are a frozen mix that reminds me of costco frozen veggies, the potatoes were a small scoop and it looked very much like they'd either been microwaved on the plate or left under a hot lamp (like a skin on them) the meat tho was luke warm at best. We had a sampler appetizer platter, everything on it was good. I choose to not get the prime rib again after this. On our third trip he had prime rib again, and I had fish and chips. His prime rib had the exact same issues as before, frozen luke warm veggies, cold meat and even fattier than the last time. Also we each had an order of 6 wings I requested my sauce on the side, I got garlic parm. Sometimes this is an actual sauce, but she failed to mention it was just garlic and parm cheese in butter, if she'd have mentioned it I could have asked for a different sauce on the side. Last night was our forth time here. Everything was wrong. First of all we ordered the sampler appetizer as we had before. The boneless chicken bites were RAW in the middle. I sent them back, was it asked if I wanted it back? No, but it was brought back later, I think all they did was throw it all back in the frier, it came back on the same plate, seriously??? Then my guy choose to try the prime rib one last time... There was a choice between the 12 or the 16 oz so he choose the bigger. He asked for a salad and mashed potatoes. I ordered fish and chips because their fried food seems to be the freshest... His food was all wrong, came out with a baked potato and the frozen veggies and at least 6 oz of it was FAT on the prime rib. We sent it back (I loath sending food back) they scraped the veggies off plopped some cold potatoes onto it and gave him his side salad. Also our appetizer and dinner came out within a minute of each other, which I know it a rushing tactic (the place was packed, still not an excuse) since the waitress didn't seem stupid. Also the batter on my fish was soggy and mealy because I believe the oil was to hot and not cooked long enough, but my waffle fries were Luke warm and the cole slaw was gross (just all BAD) When I sent it back (this time saying I didn't want it back to the table) she said it looked "done" to her.... I didn't ask for your opinion ma'am your not the one being rushed through your meal or having to eat it. When we got the check we were charged for the appetizers and a 16oz prime rib. I asked for a manager. I told her all the issues she fixed the check, but WTF? She said they knew about the fat, that it's a problem, we've mentioned the cold food not even cooked to order all 3 times we had the prime rib but nothing changed. I'm pissed enough now to write about it. If they know it's an issue why don't they change? I think because there are to few places up here, they can do whoever they want and if people want to eat out they are forced to choose a lesser evil. If you go, order a burger. They were all good, every one. But I don't even know if I'd be able to say that if I'd had that last night. It was a huge cluster.

Came here for dinner tonight. Wish I hadn't. For starters, I had the hot wings, (they say that's what they are known for). They were actually pretty good. The other half ordered a cup of chili. I liked it, but he wasn't thrilled. I ordered the BBQ ribs for the main course...Mystery meat is all I can say. . The waitress came to our table many times to check on us, not sure if it was good service or to see if we had complaints. I would have been satisfied to stop after the starters.

this place was really gross. The restrooms were dirty. We had been to Bison Ranch before and it was fun to walk around all the shops and things but we passed through again the other week and were looking for a place to eat and we decide not to go again to this restaurant. The food was slow and service not great.

First visit today for a 2PM lunch. Took 20 minutes before anyone knew I was there. Food tasted like reheat frozen food. I ordered onion rings and was charged $5 but only got 5 onion rings. The server checked in with me so refill on the iced tea.

Both food and service were mediocre. It took over 30 minutes for me to receive my burger (yes! that was all I ordered). It's a long story, but let's just say, they didn't care that it took so long, even after giving my food to another table. And the cole slaw is awful. Don't stop here if you want good service or good food.

Really good chicken fried steak and the mashed potatoes were soooo good. Fully stocked bar, decent environment and pretty good service. Waitress recommended drink

Went here a week ago while up north. Incredible mushroom Swiss burger and the onion rings were unique and delicious. They use balsamic vinegar when they make them so they look striped. I was not expecting the food to be anywhere near as good as it was for dinner. We ate in the dining area instead of the bar and were the only ones in there. Everyone up there talks about The Red Onion for burger's and this was much much better.

Best chili I have ever had! We have been here several times and have had nothing bad. Fantastic chicken fried steak, chili, turkey wrap, chicken fingers.....

This place was just okay. The options in Heber-Overgaard are slim. We came in while we were camping in our travel trailer. I ordered the southwest salad and my husband ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. Our kids got the Mac n cheese. My husbands sandwich was tasty but my salad lacked flavor. It had grilled corn and fresh veggies on top and looked delicious. Everything about it was great except for the salad dressing. It basically just tasted like oil and balsamic. The Mac n cheese that my kids ordered was clearly the blue box variety. That's my pet peeve with any restaurant. You pay $6 for a kids meal and they eat the .50 cent crap you can buy at the grocery store. Their fries were pretty good though. I would like to see healthier options for the kids. The service was okay. Our waitress was very sweet and patient with our kids. But, she was busy and the service was super slow. I waited a long time to pay the check. Overall it was okay. But I would rather go somewhere else. At least the prices weren't outrageous.

Both food and service were great, beer was cold. Kids had a good selection on the menu. Definitely try the green chili burger.

We came w a group of 23. They were so accommodating. The entire party was happy w the food. Try the Philly sliders for sure. They also had no problem splitting the checks up between all of the couples.

This place is absolutely amazing! Atmosphere is great! Food is more than great (Pig Pen Burger is to die for!) ! Service (Anastasia) goes right along with the atmosphere...great! Can't wait to come back! Wonderful for the whole family too!

Very good service. The poor workers were short staffed the day we came to eat and they were very quick and kind even in the stress of the moment. Food was very good. My burger was a tiny over cooked but it was still tasty! Sandwiches and coleslaw are good as well. Sounds like breakfast is good and all of it is cooked from scratch.

My husband had visited this place before on a trip and liked it, so we went back for lunch. We had to wait 15 min to order and then another hour for lunch to come. When it did come, it was good, but definitely not worth the wait.

Decided to have lunch at this place and it was just okay - not great. I ordered the southwestern wrap and it was average. Not sure why they called it a southwestern wrap because there is nothing southwestern about it. The sauce was simply a ranch dressing and didn't have any hint of southwestern flavor at all. I substituted the onion rings for the side and they weren't all that great. They were overdone and the onion inside was not very thick at all so they resembled paper inside. Hubby ordered the chili cheeseburger medium rare and it was slightly overdone and they forgot his cheese. Service was okay. It took us forever to get the waitress to our table so we could tell her about the cheese. So again it was an okay lunch but nothing spectacular. Honestly we preferred the one we had yesterday at the Red Onion a lot more.

Great place to stop in for dinner and drinks in Overgaard. The Green Chile Chicken Wrap is very tasty and be sure to try the Black and Tan onion rings. They have different specials every night and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.

This place was a disaster. They literally served us black cheese sticks that were fused in a clump. I could not believe they actually brought these to our table. When I sent them back, the waitress came out and said that that was how they were supposed to look because they had not changed the grease that day! (And, wondered if we wanted to go ahead and eat them) OMG. Then, they brought us wings that were supposed to be garlic parmesan, but were plain - sent those back and they just poured a ton of sauce over the wings ruining the veggies that came with. The piece de resistance, however was my husband throwing up all night from food poisoning from his dinner. A great big stay away recommendation from this frequent diner.

We stopped in for dinner on July 3rd and what a mistake. There were 6 of us and 3 of our dinners were inedible, either over cooked, over seasoned or just inferior ingredients. Service was very slow in spite of there being a light crowd, (that should have been our first clue). We had to ask for everything from initial drinks through chasing down the check. The staff was completely inept, including the three teenagers that tried to deliver our order to 2 different tables. Oh well, live and learn.
