Nothing special at first taste, but that doesn't mean its terrible. Stopped here while in Munds Park, one of less than a handful of places to eat, so choices were limited. The reviews on Yelp seemed positive with the occasional sour apple. Location is right off the highway, so an easy stop if you want food before Flagstaff. The place was nice and cozy and had friendly staff with a home town atmosphere. I ordered a cheese pizza with some toppings and wasn't impressed. A very flat crust with sauce, cheese, and a generous spread of toppings just didn't wow me. It wasn't the great crust that is mentioned in reviews and wasn't the must stop place its also said to be. Maybe I didn't order the right thing, maybe I got it on an off day. So if you are here, and hungry, then stop and eat. Its a nice place to stop with family or kids. Just don't expect to find the best pizza in the world or a hidden treasure. Its pizza, just pizza.

Order a couple pizzas last Friday night. Order was right on time. Pizza was great.....one pepperoni and mushroom...the other veggie. Ingredients nice and fresh, good sauce, lots of cheese and crust good! Going back for a burger this week! Nice friendly staff in spite of being very busy on Friday night.

Big "Open" sign/banner outside. Pulled up and small sign in window says "Sorry we're closed". Don't bother with them unless maybe you're in Munds Park during the summer, on a weekend during lunch or dinner prime time because otherwise, I guess you never know.

Great choice of appetizers and the food was really good!! The margaritas were amazing!

The pizza was so bad. The crust was frozen and so were the toppings. The meat and veggies were previously frozen and it was obvious. The entire staff flocked to a table full of college kids talking very inappropriately. I was very offended and I can't believe that the staff engaged. But, the service was overshadowed by the horrible, horrible, bad, pizza.

I can't believe I ignored Pine Woody's for so long. It is the best Munds Park establishment hands down! Pine Woody's is known locally for its pizza, but be sure to try their sandwiches because they are delicious. Service is friendly, attentive and helpful, which is very much appreciated after the lack of all three of those attributes from some of the other local restaurants. Oh, and don't forget their craft beers. The hard liquor choices are limited, but don't let that stop you from enjoying their patio. Getting there the first time is a little tricky because you appear to be driving to a gas station, but once you are in front of the station you can see the restaurant just a few yards away. Locals' hint: ask the staff for food recommendations. They will steer you right. I did twice in the past couple of weeks, and their sandwich recommendations were surprisingly good.

Our first visit. The fried green beans were awesome, you must try them if you come. The pizza is thin and crunchy crust....very good. The best part is was the service. This place is family owned and you can tell. They are attentive, offer great suggestions and completely focus on their customers. If we come back to Munds Park again, I'd come back for sure.

An above average pizza from a surprising location. It's a really casual environment, almost picnic-like, tucked away on an infrequently used highway exit. And yet it produces a gourmet pizza that compares favorably to most others. Without Yelp, I would have never found this place. Certainly worth visiting!

The ultimate in casual dining. And I do mean casual. We ordered antipasto salad and it was unbelievable. Fresh! The Italian Pizza was excellent, full of flavor that masked an otherwise bland crust. Good reports on the chili too. This is a perfect stop in late spring or summer after a day on ATVs, motorcycles, or golf cart. Don't be surprised if you have to help yourself to refills behind the counter. They don't seem to mind self-help.

Antipasto salad is awesome. Even the small is very filling for two people. They have really good fudge also.

Ugh, pepperoni pizza not hot and flavorless crust. Small service area still challenges staff to confirm that our order had been ready. Wings, really? Chewy, dry and unable to absorb sauce. Great location but they need to review their kitchen to merit a return visit.

Do not be mistaken for the Pinewood Restaurant which is on the East side of the I17. Pinewoodys Pizza and Grill is located on the West side of the I17. it is family owed and worth the long drive from Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, or Scottsdale. Just a short 15 outside of Flagstaff, the service and food is amazing. It is a great atmosphere and really represents a family owned restaurant. We continuously come back to see the staff and owner who make you feel like you are part of the family. We love it here!

Limited menu options & what we had was just ok. We got fried mushrooms & green beans, a pizza & I got the grilled chicken avocado sub. The chicken was on the dry side & they served it with guacamole instead of avocado. Just ok. I didn't have any pizza but the crust looked like one of those store bought, already made pizza crusts which I don't enjoy so I wasn't eager to try it. What made up for the mediocre food was the very friendly service & knowing that not having many options in Munds Park, you gotta take what you can get!

2 stars because it seems like a nice place to have a beer and relax. This review is all about the pizza we picked up a few nights ago. We were starving and highly anticipated that our pizza would be a good one. It was a bad pizza. It honestly had the appearance and taste of a frozen pizza. Actually, I have had some frozen pizzas that were pretty good, but this was not one of them. The staff was nice and the place actually looked like it would be cool to kick back and have some cold ones, but don't order the pizza whatever you do. I really think it's false advertising to have this place advertised as a pizza place. Now if it was a bar and they just happen to have pizza on the menu, then so be it. But the pizza would still suck.

AH-AH-AH-AMAZING! Love this place! The pizza is SMOTHERED in cheese, toppings generous, sauce perfect! Small town feel, friendly staff, customer service to the EXTREME! We had a 4 day stay up in Munds Park, and HAD TO eat there twice! Worth driving an hour for.

Good stop on way in or out of Flagstaff! Owner is very nice and will even chat and have a beer with you! Pizza was good. Very small setting - stop in and give a hard working owner some business - he will appreciate it!

Really have no idea what all the excitement is about this little hole in the wall. We went there tonight and the place seats 10 people. It is a little tiny hole in the wall behind the Chevron gas station. The food was just okay and yes we had the pizza nothing to write home about, just average. The owner likes to tell jokes and makes fun of everyone who comes in, beware as the jokes are not G rated and we had a few children with us. Average food, we did not like the sauce on the pizza plus more expensive than Scottsdale. This place is a dive.
