My husband and I were lucky enough to find this small place. There are so many Mexican resturants in Pinetop it is unbelievable. After having to leave one that was very disappointing, we found ourselves there. While it is not the standard Sonoran or New Mexican food, it is surprisingly good. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The tortilla chips were hot and fresh. The salsa was very different from many we have encountered, but not at all in a bad way. It was just different, but very fresh. Our margaritas were strong, large and flaovrful (the mango was exceptional, if you like sweetness) and the plates of food were large. My husband's enchilda rancheros was HUGE and had wonderful flavor. My tacos el pastor were well marinated and tender, with very good corn tortillas. The frijoles refritos were very smooth and velvety, much like my own, and the arroz was a little bland, but we have seen much worse. Overall it was a very pleasant experince and we would most definately return...

This place is so famous up north. It is a very nice restaurant and the food was amazing. I had some tacos and I thought they would be small so I ordered 4 of them. However, they were gigantic. I couldn't finish the portion they gave me. My sisters and my mom shared the steak dish and their cut was super nicely medium well. My fiancé had a steak burrito (which was a big portion, basically the size of his forearm). My fiancé's daughter had a burger which was way too big for her. It is a nice portion if you wanted to share with someone. The service was okay because it was a very busy night.

I was here today with my family. Was sceptical in the begining as the place looked small from outside. But everything changed once we were in. The food was great. We ordered chicken fajita echiladas and they were great. Guess i should have also ordered the fajitas separately. Service was awsome with a pretty waitress ensuring we had nice time. Will go back.

I'm giving this place 5 stars. Excellent chicken fajitas with the peppers and other goodies cooked perfect! Rice and beans perfect too. Neither to salty just good flavor. Salsa nice and chunky but mild for me. Full bar too! Atmosphere very authentic complete with music.

Horrible food went on taco Tuesday. It was yuck. Tacos came out no meat in them. sent them back and can hear cooks say what do you want for a buck. The whole place heard them. waitress was real pleasant. carne asada was horrid chunks of beef could not chew. JUST BAD FOOD. someone needs to show these so called cooks how to do Mexican food cause that was YUCK!!! will never go back again. food Is gross!!!!! and we got served last we were there before the table before us. we were ready to walk out we should of.. Don't waist your time people. and when do you serve carne asada with brown like gravy crap I think the carne asada was gravy train It was that bad

La Hacienda is in a spot where, if you aren't looking for it, you would miss it. That would be a shame because the staff is very nice and the food was great. I came in with my family and we were given our choice of table and felt welcome immediately. The chips and salsa were great and our drinks came out promptly. For dinner we had beef fajitas and the chili and Coronado burritos. These dinners came with rice and beans and the fajitas came with your choice of either corn/flour tortillas. The food was great and the waiter, Lee, even brought out more rice for my little boy since he was enjoying it so much. Lee kept making sure we had enough of everything on our plates and made it known that if we needed more tortillas he would be happy to bring some more out to us. Dessert was some fried ice cream for my boy, who shared it with us because it was quite large. It was a good time and the check was affordable for all the food we had, we left with 2 boxes of leftovers which Iam looking forward to munching on tonight! I recommended this place, the atmosphere is great and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

We went to La Hacienda because of the reviews. I must say we were very dissapointed. The chips and salsa were ok. The margaritas were delicious, if you just want a marg, stop by but we were not thrilled with the food. We ordered the fajitas enchiladas and the carne asada burrito. The steak in the enchiladas was chewy and bland. The enchilada sauce was I think out of a can. We asked for extra spicy, maybe some extra jalepenos or chilis, I could not find one. We ended up sending the carne asada burrito back because it wasn't carne asada and they covered the burrito in enchilada sauce. We ended up ordering 2 chicken tacos to replace. They were fine. The service was sparadic, the margaritas were on the table quickly but we had to ask for water 3 different times. It wasn't full in the restaurant and the staff weren't standing around, so I'm not sure where the breakdown in service was happening. The staff were all friendly and the prices were about norm. I just found the food to be bland, the beans....couldn't eat them, just nothing there. The rice was ok. If you have had mexican food in mexico, I would not recommend. If you have eaten mexican food in the midwest I would say you might like it. And I say that being a midwesterner at one point but than traveling to Mexico a few times change your outlook.
