More like 3.5. Food was consistent with the other In N Out Burgers that I've been to. Quick service, clean bathrooms. Right next to a hospital. Only gripe was that lettuce was sparse on each of the 4 burgers. Spoiled in California where the amount of lettuce matches the thickness of the patty.

I'm going to rate 5 stars because I went thru the drive thru the service I got was fast hot super fresh and everyone was extra polite

By far, the BEST FAST FOOD BURGER!!! Their fries are OK, but I really wish I had tasted their shakes. I hear there is a secret menu of burgers that can only be ordered on the sly...wish I had know before I went.

Went thru the drive-thru, what a wonderful gal at the window. It was just a pleasant experience. We have ordered a few times and each time the order was perfect, food was great. Thank you

We could not wait to sink our teeth into another mouth-watering In-N-Out burger and fries. *nom nom nom* And it was a first for my 65-year old mother who just fell in love with burgers all over again.

This In-N-Out, which was about 2 hours from the Strip, was our stopping point from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon. Compared to In-N-Outs that I've been to, this location was very mellow. It was not crowded and we had a choice of tables. The worker were friendly and the restaurant tables, etc. were very clean. Overall, a great In-N-Out location for a road-trip pitstop out of Vegas.

I don't always eat hamburgers. But, when I do, I eat In-N-Out. On our drive to Las Vegas, we made a stop at this In-N-Out. This location is right off the highway and easy to find (just follow the big In-N-Out sign). We stopped by around dinner time and were pleasantly surprised that it wasn't crowded and the line to order wasn't long at all, which is very rare at an In-N-Out. The dining area was very clean and the food was delicious, as always. I love In-N-Out for their toasted buns, copious amounts of veggies to make it seem like I'm eating healthy, and the fast service. Keep doing what you're doing, In-N-Out! Much love!

I love In N Out so it pains me to say this location's burgers were not great. The meat didn't have the usual delicious flavor. The bun, sauce, lettuce and tomato were fresh, but the meat was bland. We (husband and I) were both sick within an hour.

We were stopping through Kingman and usually eat at the Cracker Barrel but decided for I&OB this time. It never disappoints! Why is it the ketchup that you can pump into the little white cup tastes extra good?! I love it! I had my usual "Grilled "Cheese" and a half Chocolate half Strawberry shake. Anyone who has eaten here knows there isn't much to say but that is is cheap, tasty and fresh!

I love In-N-Out Burger. It's fast food, but it's good fast food. It's like a better version of McDonald's, really. I love protein style. Who needs bread? Unless you're getting it animal-style. Also, animal-style fries are awesome.

    (5)
  • Tina W.

da best fast food ! I love the animal fries! damn, californians, I am so jealous of you guys.

  • Suzy S.

I've always thought that if you eat at one In-N-Out, you've eaten at all, but Kingman, AZ dashed that theory. This one seemed particularly good. The fries were fresh and HOT. The burger also was served right off the grill. Of course it was 95 degrees and climbing so everything seemed piping hot in relation. Only grumble - never received a lap mat and managed to empty the fries on my lap. So much for wearing those pants all day. It made me aware of how greasy those tasty little fries really are!

Best burgers anywhere. Always cool inside on a hot day. We hit this place up every time we pass through town.

  • Mitter M.

Thanks for the previous review. I didn't know of the secret menu till today. Anyway, we had a double-douuble + animal style, grilled cheese + animal style, and fries + animal style.....YUM!

  • Carl M.

Better than Mickey D's by a long shot but with limited menu. Ck out their secret menu on their website

  • Suzy B.

Very tasty burgers. My husband loves the shakes. The downside is there's no choices other than burgers and fries. The burgers are great though and it's bargain prices!

  • Tony K.

Not much to say here , In and Out does it right, always the best, freshest Burgers hands down!! Every Restsurant is spotless, friendly and quick as you can cook your patty to order, no heat lamps or microwaves here !!!

  • Bryan W.

Staff is geat. Thier Animal burger can't be beat. Frys are delicious.

  • Maria C.

It's a fast food burger joint and the prices reflect that. It was spacious on the inside, and the food was prepared quickly. I got a regular burger while my coworker got his burger animal style and we both agreed that it was over-hyped (as we were both from the east coast). The fries were very mediocre and I'd even recommend McDonald's fries over these. Overall, you get what you pay for!

  • Brant K.

If you are unfamiliar with In-N-Out and relying on Yelp to find out about it, you are either completely out of the loop or not from around here. The burgers and shakes are fantastic, the price is right, the place is clean and the service is fast and friendly. That and it has a cult-like following, especially in CA/AZ/NV.

Traveling across country on route 40, this was the first In N Out we saw and we HAD to stop! I missed these burgers SO MUCH! Double-double for me and the dog, and a single animal style for my co-pilot! Hand cut fries all around. How can you not like the warm, beefy, ooey-gooey goodness of In N Out. There's a reason they're famous and I have to concur..... BEST FAST FOOD AROUND! YUM. Thank you for being such a perfect location - right off the exit from the highway!! You made me SOOO HAPPY because it meant I was getting close to home!

What's not to love about the simplicity of In-N-Out? You know that the streamlined menu makes for a consistently good product, every time and everywhere you go. I ordered my cheeseburger with grilled onions and thoroughly enjoyed it. I like the fries for about the first five minutes, but then you're left with the little nubby ones, which aren't my favorites. Ah well, they taste good at the start, right? Yay for the tried and true!

  • John C.

Having never had this burger joint, and hearing such good things about it, I was excited to finally drop in and try this place out.......well.....I guess I could have just kept on waiting....I was so under-impressed. I had a Cheeseburger monster style and it was OK, the fries were ok and the shake was just OK too. I thought it was going to be so much better and for the price, I expected it to be that too. Oh well. Major disappointment.

Order a double-double + animal style + tender $5.00 = deliciousness. This is my favorite fast food burger chain.

  • Brad S.

Your first and last chance at fast-food burger perfection on I-40. As noted by another reviewer, the menu is notoriously limited -- hamburgers, cheeseburgers, fries, sodas and shakes so if you're hankering for anything else, keep driving! However, there is wisdom in simplicity; by focusing on one thing, they do it extremely well. While you can find better burgers in gourmet restaurants, you won't find many that can compete with In-N-Out. No other fast-food chain does it better. The food is consistently hot, fresh and tasty at every franchise and this one is no different. We hit this location twice, coming and going, on our trip to California. I recommend ordering a Double-Double "animal style" -- you'll thank me later.

OFF THE EVER-LOVIN CHAIN!!!!!! Blow it up west coast style. In-N-Out!!!

Always fantastic! Consistently good food and courteous staff. I have never had a bad experience at an In-N-Out Burger. If you have never stopped by, stop reading this and go.

    (5)
  • Gussie M.

Mmmmmmmm mmmmmmm, love me some burger! For fast-food, can't do any better for quality and price (though Wendy's comes in second). I won't get a fast-food burger anywhere else but these two. Fries do nothing for me. Shakes are decent. It's the burger that rocks and ALWAYS the staff. No matter which In-N-Out I've visited across the states, the staff is ALWAYS friendly, helpful, courteous. Good old-fashioned Service with a Smile survives at In-N-Out. That alone is worth our business dollars. (P.S. I know 95% of Americans hardly hold businesses to any standard any more. I do.)

In N Out, In N Out, Thats what a hamburger's all about... Oh wait I'm not in the shower, this is Yelp. This is it. The final frontier, er... If you are traveling eastbound you are leaving the land of In-N-Outs behind. Sure there are more further east but they are south, like in Prescott or Pheonix, but who is going to go to Prescott unless you live there? This is the last one on I-40. So if you are doing holiday traveling like me, moving or driving for business, you had better stop and get a double double animal style! This place has a good mix of local and people passing through business. To quote my ex, DUUHlicious. I am alreading missing that tasty, freshly made to order burger. Of course if you are traveling westbound, this is a great place to make a pit stop before you reach California.

  • Sarah B.

Passing through this desolate town we came across In-N-Out, sadly this was the worst representation of this well-known chain to date that we have ever stumbled upon. Not only did they fail to correctly place our simple order 8 times, but after finally paying we were called back up to be informed it in fact was STILL wrong and we needed to pay extra. It was a simple order of four number ones', animal style, no tomatoes. But instead it was ordered item by item separately and they completely left off the fries. Upon receiving our order we received all burgers with EXTRA tomatoes and no pickles. Complete FAIL!

    (1)
  • Carmella H.

The only chain or fast food esablishment I will eat at. Not only is it consistently fresh but they have never given me my order wrong. Another reason for 5 stars...the place is always clean.

    (5)
  • Richard C.

Best burgers in Kingman, hands down. Place gets pretty busy during lunch, but line moves fast. French fries are cut and immediately fried on site.

    (5)
  • Cranky Greg M.

You gotta wonder about anyone who would give In-N-Out Burger a 3-star, but I digress. If you're headed out of AZ on I-40, stop here and get your last In-N-Out Burger or you'll be sorry! I stopped at this one the other day and it was clean and the service was as good as usual. Which is kinda unusual from places on an Interstate highway. And the other reviewer who was belly-aching about a limited menu and it being basic - THAT's THE WHOLE DAMN POINT!!!

    (5)
  • Cathryn P.

cheeseburger animal n protein style -- yum -- finest establishment in kingman!

  • Kathleen B.

The bf had never been to In N out burger, so we stopped by here on our way to Flagstaff from Vegas. I ordered him an animal style first (forgetting that there was spread on Animal Style, he dislikes mayo), and the staff were kind enough to exchange him another burger. Unfortunately, the staff weren't moving as fast as they normally do at other In N Outs that I have been to. Maybe it was because it was Friday night at 8 and it was slow? I'm not sure if they get a whole lot of buisness in general. Regardless, the food was delicious, and bf still didn't understand all my hype about the place. More In N out for me then :)

    (4)
  • Scott W.

Somehow I find it hard to give these folks more than a 3. This is about as basic as it gets. Minimal menu choices. But the chain is better than most at getting the meal exactly the same every time at every location. This was the 3rd time I have tried to stop there and if you don't get off the freeway Westbound and over to the far lane immediately it's a pain to get turned around and I had always just gone to one of the other chains. This time I did it right and there was actually parking spaces available and the lines were reasonable. The fact it was only about 38° might have kept the traffic for lunch down. Fresh cheeseburger and fries for under $4, just the ticket for road travel.

It's In-N-Out. Good, fresh burgers. Good service.

  • David R.

I enjoy every In-N-Out visit no matter where I am. After a year of being away from California... I was out west. After a day or so of driving... we spotted the first In-N-Out Burger sign on the I-40. It was around 10 or 10:30 am... we had just had breakfast.. and we thought "they're probably not open 'til later -- but maybe we should pull off and check... just in case." We got closer and noticed more than a few cars in the parking lot. So we pulled in -- jumped out of the car and went in. It was DELICIOUS! -- as usual!!! 3 days later.. on the way back, we stopped again for another Double Double. And I have to tell you -- I never noticed until I read Carmella H.'s review -- In-N-Out Burger has never ever -- not once in 25 years of eating Double Doubles -- screwed up an order. The best fast food anywhere on the planet! Always worth the trip!!! "That's what a hamburger's all about!"

  • Ben S.

The night I went the service was friendly and professional though the food was coming out a bit slowly. It was worth the wait though, hot and delicious.

    (5)
  • Michael J.

Slow service. I have never been to an in n out that had such slow service. It took 20 minutes to get my food and they were not crowded at all.

    (4)
  • Barry L.

Yes, In-n-out in Kingman. The best burger, without a doubt. Opens at 1030 or a couple minutes earlier. However, they keep raising prices, but just 10 cents or so. Exit 51, I-40, north side of interstate. 18 wheelers park on street.

    (5)
  • As I See It S.

I love In-and-Out, so I was happy to stop here during a road trip. Due to having very few customers, the staff had plenty of time to stand around and chat with one another and left the tables filthy. Two stars only because the chain has good food, otherwise this place deserves zero stars. it was incredibly filthy.

    (2)
  • Amber K.

Being a So- Cal girl, I have always had a love affair with In-n-Out. This one delivers great food but the drive thru is always slow when I go through. Good thing I would wait forever for a bite of a delicious double double. :)

  • Ron T.

Wow! I forgot, how much I like these burgers! Most likely it is a big nostalgia rush. It kinda reminds me of my glory days, muscle cars and fast girls.....A great burger on a High Schoolers Budget. Driving across country NYC to LA via Route 66, this was the first In-N-Out Burger that I came across. I knew then, that I was almost back home! That's a 3 Dollar.....Animal Style Double Double in my Photo. Not a NYC, $20-$30 Special.......

  • Pat C.

Typical In-N-Out. Very good. Always seem to hit this place when I'm in need of sustenance after a long leg of a road trip. Clean facility with prompt, polite service. Everything you come to expect from this fantastic chain. I typically get the double-double animal style with a neopolitan shake. Always a great choice. What happened to the fries, though? They are garbage the last several years, regardless of which In-N-Out I've patronized.

    (4)
  • Kit K.

The food here is always consistently good.

I miss In-N-Out Burger and couldn't wait until I got back to CA to have a double-double. The staff at this branch are EXTRAORDINARILY friendly and helpful. And though I ate inside during lunch hour, the dining room was so clean! The tables were wiped off right after people left. I've missed In-N-Out, though people have said go to _ "it's close to In-N-Out Burger" they fare has never been close enough. Gotta have the real deal!

    (5)
  • Alicia J.

Yeah, In-N-Out, the legend of all burgers - one of those legends I have heard of for a long time before finally having an opportunity to sample it. (This is because I haven't set foot onto the West Coast for some 15 years.) We absolutely wanted to try them and luckily, 75 miles ahead, there was one in Kingman. We were overwhelmed by how huge the line was. The place was packed with people, very unlike what we are used to in fast food restaurants, but the service was quick and great. We got two large cheeseburgers and they came out quite delicious. In fact, for around 3 dollars (which is almost half as Five Guys in certain areas) the burger is quite amazing. The patties were sufficiently juicy and well-cooked, the lettuce and tomato were a little tasteless but what convinced me about the burger was the bun. Buttered and absolutely perfect. So why 3 stars? Well, if we had known we'd skipped out on the fries. I am usually not that picky on fries, having grown up with soggy European McDonald's fries, but the ones at In-N-Out hit rock bottom. It's nice that they give you salt but even all that salt was not enough. If I hadn't drowned the fries in ketchup I could not have brought myself to eat them.

Wonderful food and service! We actually messed up our own order and they fixed it for free! Special thanks to Josh!! Eat here!

    (5)
  • Gracie J.

On the way to Grand Canyon? On the way to Vegas? Forget about the other places in Kingman and just grab a bite here. 2x2, animal style, double toasted, with fries and a milkshake. You're golden, baby. Excellent service, fresh food, nice relaxed atmosphere as I've come to expect from In-N-Out. There is a hospital literally across the street, so if you go into cardiac arrest from having too much greasy food, just saunter over to the ER and check yourself in. So convenient!

    (5)
  • Kimberly S.

Is there really anything to say about this place that hasn't been said before? All of us out of towners that flock to these delicious burgers any time we are within 50 miles of one should say enough. You have to appreciate the fact that the fries are hand-cut and the beef is always fresh, not frozen. And that the menu hasn't changed, and won't change. I suppose that means that NM may never get and In N Out, as they won't add green chile to the menu. Just as well, or I would weigh 200 pounds in no time.

    (5)
  • Carrie B.

Great location just across from the hospital because you never know when you're going to suffer from dehydration and heat exhaustion when driving out of Vegas. But, I chose the In n Out for some lemonade and air conditioning instead of the hospital- luckily it all worked out. Clean and busy, thorough & efficient. it really hit the spot.

    (5)

This burger are So addicting! I will have them everyday for Brunch & Linner If you are hungry and you like cheese & onions make sure you try a 3x3 cheeseburger & fries animal style

Great quality of fast food and just off the highway on the route from Vegas this place is BUSY. They are, however, manned for it and make it happen. Service is quick and they keep the place clean which in itself is not easy to do with so many people coming through every hour.

  • Marissa M.

Is that a mirage in the distance I see? What are those palm trees? The palm trees of In-N-Out Burger!? Holy Moses! (No, that's the name of the wash as you head into town on the eastbound highway). Your typical, fast service, quality In-N-Burger! I was a little disappointed in the lettuce quality for my protein style cheeseburger, but otherwise, I was satisfied! Good pit spot on my roadtrip to the Midwest.

The service was fine, even as the place was very crowded. I really just didn't find the food to be all that impressive. In fact, the fries were really bland, and the burgers were really greasy. You could actually see the grease dripping off of them. This was my first In-N-Out experience and I had always heard that it was supposed to be a healthier burger joint than other fast food places, but I honestly didn't see the difference between this In-N-Out food and, say, a Five Guys or similar place. Maybe we just went on a bad day, considering the other raving reviews, but it was really disappointing.

Excellent service! In n Out never disappoints. We drove from Vegas to Phoenix this past weekend, and went through the drive-thru on our way out, as well as our way back home. We were asked if we wished to have our food bagged, or if this was to be eaten while on the road. When we said we would be driving, they placed our food in an open box and provided paper place mats for our laps. What a great idea. On our return trip, a young man was outside taking orders. That really sped up the drive-thru line. Even though we were about 6 cars back, our wait time was not much longer than 5 minutes. Since there is not much in the way of food to go in this area, we were thrilled that this In n Out was as awesome as the rest we have visited.

Doesn't matter where you go In-N-Out always has quality food and excellent service. My fav number 1 no tomatoes grilled and raw onion. The best I believe is when they open first thing in the mid morning yummmmers!! So enjoy yelpers..

What's not to love about in and out! Decide to make something and focus on making it right. You are only getting burgers, fries and shakes but they will be fresh and delicious. It is also very reasonably priced compared to many fast food joints. Bottom line, fast food that feels pretty healthy.

  • Caitlin M.

I love In n Out. My friend and I were traveling home from Vegas and stopped to get lunch. Everyone was SO friendly, the store wasn't over crowded, the food was delicious!!! Only reason it's getting 4 stars is because the food took a long time to be called. I understand it was busy, but I got my food before my friend and she ordered before me. Other than that DELICIOUS and great In n Out experience! Keep it up!

How could I pass up an In N Out Burger place without getting anything. Perfect location for getting a quick burger and booking it out right onto the freeway 100 feet away and heading home. Munch munch munch.....mmmmmm...love my onions and extra spread... delicious

In-N-Out has been making burgers since 1948, an excellent old-fashioned burger with flavor. I like mine with sliced onion, lettuce tomato & mustard.Their french fries are made in house, ask for the animal fries Yum. It's not on the menu ,it's a secret

This In-n-Out is a ray of sunshine when you are driving to Vegas fromTucson/Southern Arizona. You've been on the road for almost 5 hours, you're hungry and the car needs gas. All of a sudden you see a sign for In-n-Out, could it be possible? Kingman, Arizona has such a place? Yes, it's true. Double-Doubles, Animal fries and chocolate shakes await you at the next exit. I absolutely love In-n-Out and this location does not disappoint. They are usually crowded, but the employees take orders quickly and your meal comes out within 5 minutes. It's worth a stop to get out of your car when you've been driving for a while and there is plenty of seating inside.

Never had a single issue with this in n out. They do great with large crowds and the place is alway clean. We always stop on our way home from the Colorado river- a great way to end a trip. Delicious food!

You can't go wrong with In n Out Burger. This was perfect for our rest stop, driving from Sedona to Vegas. We did the drive thru, then parked in their almost empty parking lot, & ate our "Animal style burger" while we mapped out our way back to Vegas. I have yet to be disappointed with their burgers or service. Wish we had one in Hawaii!

I've never had a bad experience at In-n-out, but the bathrooms were dirty with no pt or paper towels and the burger had to be returned twice.... Grrrr. On the upside, the manager took care I me with a free meal which I will gladly take them up on in Phoenix.

You just can't beat this place. The prices are incredible. Service is always friendly and fast. It is always busy. Food is awesome.

Ordered a hamburger and when I got it at the drive thru the hamburger was cold the bun was warm but meat cold I got a tummy ache later that day usually this is very good and hot but not this time

What's not to love about in and out! Decide to make something and focus on making it right. You are only getting burgers, fries and shakes but they will be fresh and delicious. It is also very reasonably priced compared to many fast food joints. Bottom line, fast food that feels pretty healthy.

Keep it up!

Always busy but very fast! Double-Double fries and a shake. Yummy. I'm in im out I'm satisfied.

  • Sharon M.

I've never had a bad experience at In-n-out, but the bathrooms were dirty with no pt or paper towels and the burger had to be returned twice.... Grrrr. On the upside, the manager took care I me with a free meal which I will gladly take them up on in Phoenix.

    (1)
  • Marylan S.

    (5)
  • Kimi T.

Much love!

    (5)
  • Jean G.

I love In N Out so it pains me to say this location's burgers were not great. The meat didn't have the usual delicious flavor. The bun, sauce, lettuce and tomato were fresh, but the meat was bland. We (husband and I) were both sick within an hour.

  • Christie L.

  • Wes T.

I love In-N-Out Burger. It's fast food, but it's good fast food. It's like a better version of McDonald's, really. I love protein style. Who needs bread? Unless you're getting it animal-style. Also, animal-style fries are awesome.

da best fast food ! I love the animal fries! damn, californians, I am so jealous of you guys.

Eat here!

  • Alicia C.

Best burgers anywhere. Always cool inside on a hot day. We hit this place up every time we pass through town.

    (5)
  • Mitter M.

Thanks for the previous review. I didn't know of the secret menu till today. Anyway, we had a double-douuble + animal style, grilled cheese + animal style, and fries + animal style.....YUM!

    (5)

    (3)

    (5)

Traveling across country on route 40, this was the first In N Out we saw and we HAD to stop! I missed these burgers SO MUCH! Double-double for me and the dog, and a single animal style for my co-pilot! Hand cut fries all around. How can you not like the warm, beefy, ooey-gooey goodness of In N Out. There's a reason they're famous and I have to concur..... BEST FAST FOOD AROUND! YUM. Thank you for being such a perfect location - right off the exit from the highway!! You made me SOOO HAPPY because it meant I was getting close to home!

  • Sarah G.

    (4)

I do.)

    (5)
  • Soh Jai R.

    (4)

    (5)

  • Kevin D.

It's In-N-Out. Good, fresh burgers. Good service.

    (5)

Two stars only because the chain has good food, otherwise this place deserves zero stars. it was incredibly filthy.

cheeseburger animal n protein style -- yum -- finest establishment in kingman!
