Somehow I got turned around and because there was not a street sign at the top of the hill, I called the restaurant back and the guy who answered the phone said "just go to the four way stop and I'll wave for you to come down" and he did! That made me feel awesome and he gave great customer service the entire time my friend and I were eating lunch. Thank you waiter dude for consistently refilling all of our waters especially my doggies. The outdoor seating is a little bit like being in France or New York City, it's small and in between walls and that was just fine with me because I got to bring my dog! Huge plus in Jerome where there's not a lot of space for outdoor seating much less for a huge doggie like mine. If you're going to sit in the outdoor seating be sure to whoever you're with take a photo because it's such a cool backdrop. The food's great, had a wonderful time.

Quaint little place, you could tell everything was hand made and it showed. Burrito Verde and French toast were fantastic. Hotel Connor recommended this place and would have been disappointed had not stopped in for breakfast.

If you are reading this review, I am going to give a single suggestion: STOP READING AND GO HERE! We came here because we found the menu in our hotel room, and we could not have been more impressed. Located smack dab in the middle of Jerome (everything in Jerome is really in the middle of Jerome but whatever), this little spot is easy to miss. There is a simple sign out front and a small set of stairs that you have to descend to make it into the restaurant. Once you make it in though, you have struck gold! (Get it? It's called The Mine) Everything that we tried was delicious. First off, biscuits and gravy. Mmmm. The gravy is different than normal. Different like the new girl in your 6th grade English class that you couldn't keep your eyes off. Next was French toast smothered in homemade apple sauce. I've never been to France and I don't know how they make toast, but if this is it, I'm buying my tickets. I want to French kiss this French toast. Oh also, OJ. Fresh squeezed. Good. Lord. It. Was. Delicious. The decor in this place is magazine worthy. It's gorgeous! Hipsters will be instagramming the piano hanging from the wall for years to come! As we left, we met the owner and he was probably one of the nicest restaurant owners I've ever met! Mark, if you read this, thank you for an amazing experience. All in all, my review is go, go, GOOOOO!!!!!

Saw all the good reviews. Decided to do breakfast. It was a good idea the food was great. The two men that served us were pleasant. Highly recommend, we would go there again.

Came here at the recommendation of the Connor Hotel. Didn't know what to expect but was completely blown away. Our server/owner made us feel so welcomed, got our coffees right away, and was patient as we decided between many appealing breakfast entrees. I wanted to order everything on the menu (biscuits and gravy vs.banana walnut french toast vs. green chili breakfast burrito) but ultimately landed on the special, which was a banana raspberry french toast. Perfectly done with a side of syrup, whipped cream, and bacon. My boyfriend had the biscuits and gravy which were everything he wanted them to be. Nice underground location right in the heart of Jerome. I would come back to Jerome just for this breakfast!

We usually go to the one of the other restaurants/breakfast places in town but they were closed at the time, so we happened to come across The Mine. I had the Savage sampler with their own made brisket on the side (owners recommendation). The food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended and will definitely be back.

Jerome knows how to do breakfast! The Mine Cafe was another great find in this tourist town. And they open up earlier than other establishments which works for those of us who are early birds! And we aren't the only ones as when we arrived at this below-street-level eatery, there were several other patrons already enjoying their meals. The offerings are simple - no IHOP-size menu here. Even so, everything sounded so delicious that it took a while to finally opt for the French Toast and Savage Sampler, and both turned out to be awesome selections. The over-medium eggs were cooked perfectly! The sausage is house-made and really had a wonderful blend of flavors. And the potatoes were flavorful, too. They also make their own plum jam which was perfect on the English muffins. The French toast arrived beautifully presented. They use sourdough bread which added another flavor layer. Each slice was topped with a dollop of house-made applesauce (delicious!!) and whipped cream. In addition to the simplicity of the menu, the small interior of The Mine is simple as well, yet warm & inviting. Concrete floors, historic pictures, pastry case, and daily specials on a chalkboard. But the pièce de résistance, the most outstanding item of the decor, has to be piano harp (300 lbs.!) hanging on the wall in the little sitting area. Absolutely amazing! And the coffee table is the encased piano keyboard! We were told by the owner (Kevin) that a grand piano used to be in that area, but it was too cumbersome. He dismantled it, and voila! Art! I want these in my house! p.s. He told us he's working on another! It's not often one sees Sloppy Joes as a "Chef Special", so we just had to ask about it. They make it with "yesterday's" homemade meatloaf (do you see a trend here: house made!) They also sell their homemade applesauce and plum jam. While we were there, several other came in - guessing they were locals (regulars) by the way the owner greeted them, and in turn, how they greeting some of the other diners. I think because this restaurant is off Main Street, and one has to take steps down in order to access it, it may be easily missed. But it's your loss if you walk by. Next time we're in the neighborhood - it'll be The Mine Cafe for us.

The perfect Valentine's Day breakfast experience! We sat on a comfy sofa with fun pillows and a very cool old piano coffee table! We had eggs and potatoes with coffee, followed by espresso with the cutest homemade tiny cookie. Everything was delicious! The price was super reasonable. The service was prompt, friendly, and welcoming with smiles. We can't wait to go back when we visit again! Thank you for a great experience!

What can I say?! Great food, great prices, sincerely super-nice people, great style and atmosphere. Nice and cool in here, too. I'm from Los Angeles, so I pride myself with being a pretentious, east side this-and-that, so I'm super excited I found this place. My friend who lives in Cottonwood liked it so much, he is even going to order to-go breakfasts on the way to work now! When visiting this way I will for sure be back!

Stopped here for breakfast on my way to Page springs winery and had a wonderful breakfast burrito. The flavor was so fresh and the ingredients complimented each other really well. This is a must do if you are in Jerome. The Cinnabon is the best I have ever tasted!

Went here for breakfast as part of the Connor Hotel's promotion -- what a delicious gift! The service was friendly and fantastic, food impeccable and obviously made with care and fresh ingredients. While relatively small, the Cafe's menu has everything you need and at a great price; be sure to look/ask for the daily specials! In summary, I'm so pleased and hopeful to see a place like the Mine Cafe open in Jerome. Mine Cafe: keep it up, you guys are living the dream!
