My daughter and I went in on opening day and met the owner. She is such a sweetheart and, of course, the donuts were delicious!
The owner is so sweet and always so helpful. Our work loves coming here for our morning donuts.
No more chain store donuts for me! I saw this on yelp, and decided to give it a try. The reviews were 100% spot on! It's so refreshing to have a smiling face and friendly service the minute you walk into the shop. And, of course, the donuts are absolutely amazing! You know you have a hit when your coworkers take one donut and then start cutting up the remainder of them so they can taste each one to rave reviews! This is now my official donut shop. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed!

Yo Waffle

Reviews:
One of the cleaner frozen yogurt shops around, also has very good flavors. I don't really understand, or want a waffle...but i don't need to have one either. The two different sized cups are at opposite ends of the store which are weird.
This place is amazing. Everyone needs to try it at least twice! ! So many places sell the typical frozen yogurt but to add a waffle, every topping and syrup you can think of is a crazy thought ! I never would have thought they sold such a awesome dessert until i tried YoWaffle. Pretty sure I died and went to heaven and came back with every bite. Moving from Tempe where I was walking distance from Yogurtland, I can say I won't be deprived of yogurt now that I found this gem and think I'm gonna be breaking up with Yogurtland for yowaffle. The concept is simple and easy to follow and the waffles are to die for. Lots of family's and a great place for kids. Friendly staff, super good flavors and thoes waffles... taste like a doughnut on steroids.
We had various frozen yogurt combos and one waffle built with the suggestions on the board. SOOOOO GOOOD.

Smoothies are the best yet!!! Service is really slow. Both times I have been here, there seems to only be one person working... Waited thirty minutes for two smoothies in the drive thru... So if your in a hurry and are expecting to get your smoothies in less then 5 minutes this is definitely not the place.
Food and smoothies are awesome! They need more staff! The girl working is helpful and nice but clearly overworked!! They need someone on food someone on smoothies and someone working the register!
Got the cilantro lime fish tacos and they were bomb. Smoothies are good too. Decent prices and they're open 24 hours.

My go to delivery joint. I first heard about this place from a friend who loved going there for subs and a beer! I have never actually been in, but delivery is on point! Subs are huge, prices are great, and delivery is FAST.
Usually this place is pretty awesome. Forgot the bacon on my sandwich (cost extra money) and forgot my chips. Seriously??? But overall usually a pretty good place. Fast delivery, good subs.
After coming now for over 3 years, I still love this sub shop. The sub sandwiches are always awesome, the service is alway good, and the people who work here are very friendly. Best sandwiches in town. =)

Wendy’s

Reviews:
For some reason I feel compelled to praise this Wendy's location. The staff here has their sh*t together! I come here for lunch usually once sometimes twice a week, orders are prompt, friendly and never any errors (driver-thru), EVER! I've never been to a fast food location that has never made a mistake on an order, except for this location. I can tell my selection is made-to-order and made consistent! Great job to all the hard workers here!
We stopped by here a few weeks ago and received a completely burned to a crisp burger. This burger cost around 7 dollars. I was pretty annoyed because we don't always eat fast food but we decided to this night because we we're running short on time. By the time I had went through the drive through and got home (and now had the need to return my food) I could have just made it on my own. What is really bad through is that I attempted to contact Wendy's and when they finally responded to me they promised me that someone from the restaurant would be contacting me. Its been about 3 weeks not and I have contacted them back multiple times and no one from this restaurant can even bother to send me an email saying "Hey we're sorry we looked into it and took care of it." Really poor service I do not plan to eat here again.
One of the few Wendy's that offers breakfast still. Love the potatoes and eggs they use. The potatoes are sliced and fresh. You also can actually tell that your egg is an egg. Great breakfast sandwiches for a fast food chain. I highly recommend stopping by in the morning. Hidden secret.

I very much enjoyed my sandwich. The service was excellent. They sliced the meat and even gave me samples as well. The bread is less chewie than subway. The prices are the same as subway. It is a family owned business so i choose to support that any day. Five stars on every level.
They have yummy subs at an affordable price. I do love their Italian bread, but got the sourdough this time. It was pretty thick and didn't compliment the sandwich like I was expecting. Communication at thus location leaves a but to be desired, but it isn't terrible.
Couldn't be more pleased with the food and service here. They're very friendly and really seem to go out of their way to take care of their customers. The sandwiches are great as well.

I LOVE the pizza here! Even better though are their WINGS! I have been going to Rino D's for as long as i can remember! I have never been dissatisfied when i have gone! They really do not have much of a sit-down and eat. Either get it for pick up or delivery. If you are looking for a new pizza places or just GREAT pizza Rino D's is the spot!
My favorite pizza joint in the east valley! The rewards program is great so sign up. Get a free pizza after every few orders... Ingredients are always fresh and it has been consistently good for the last 7 years I've been a patron. It is delivery or take out only!
Perfect pizza crust - I almost died eating this pizza it was so---- good. I don't love pizza and for me to say this is the best pizza I have had in a long time is really something! Friendly people and easy to order and take out from. A real treat we found via Yelp. You want great pizza? Look no further.

Reviews:
I've eaten their food three times. Two times I've eaten there and once had a pizza delivered. What was funny is the guy taking my pizza order told me the price and stopped talking. I was waiting for him to ask me my cc info. I think he thought I was balking at the price because he told me, "You realize our pizzas are not the $5 kind?" I laughed and said I don't eat $5 pizzas! He got a kick out of that and the pie was delivered warm and tasty! I was a bachelor that weekend and the large lasted me both Saturday and Sunday. Nothing like pizza for breakfast baby! Both times I visited there the food was really good. The first time I had the chicken Marsala and loved it. The second time I had the lasagne with meat sauce and my wife had the chicken cacciatore. She ate everything on her plate and loved it. I got full on half of the lasagne and had the other half for lunch the next day. Both times the lasagne was delicious. We live close by so we'll be going back again for sure. My wife and I aren't really into hearing cover music when we eat, we like to talk. The only thing I haven't appreciated about the place was the Elvis impersonator singing when we went on a Saturday night. Good singer but everything he sang was in the Elvis style...George Straight in an Elvis style...not for me thank you. Of course I did tip the gentleman because he has talent. We are looking forward to the weather cooling so we can sit either inside or out, where ever the singer is not.
I am originally from NYC and moved to Arizona close to 2 years ago. I found out about this place from a random New Yorker I met. To say the least, this place is amazing. I go to Brooklyn V's all the time. I feel a price of home and nostalgia when I walk in. I spent about a year and a half trying to find good NY pizza and did not find it, until I went to Brooklyn V's. I won't eat any other pizza, except for theirs. Not only do they have great pizza, they offer amazing pasta dishes, desserts, and their staff is the greatest. I will always be a New Yorker and their food makes me miss/appreciate the NY style of food.
We celebrated my daughter's first birthday here last night and could not have been more impressed. My wife reserved a table for our party and the staff was not only accommodating, but went above and beyond by decorating our table with balloons, birthday napkins and even had a special candle for the cake. The food was phenomenal. My party tried garlic knots, spaghetti and pizza. Everything tasted delicious and the pizza was excellent. Cheese, sauce, garlic, pepperoni, spinach and dough all came together perfectly. Beer and wine were very reasonably priced and the live music completed the night. The staff was very attentive to our needs and I cannot say enough about how welcomed they made all of us feel. This is a family owned business that shows tremendous pride in quality and preparation of food and care for their patrons. A big thank you to the entire staff at Brooklyn V's for making my daughter's first birthday one that we will never forget.

Temari Fine Japanese Cuisine

919 N Val Vista Dr,Ste 101
Gilbert, 85234
Reviews:
OK, this review was because of Jeremy P. 11/29/2012. Except for the Shimagamo comment which I don't agree... I DON"T NEED TO WRITE A REVIEW because he said everything to a T. I could of not gone to a dirtier looking place that I thought I would actually get sick off the cracked wood blocks. Jeremy P. said everything I would of said: EXACTLY. I will cut and past for those who can't find his review, here goes: "In how many different ways can you arrange the same ten ingredients? If this were a contest, Temari would win, hands down. This looked like one of the most promising places in a very generic East Valley sushi scene, so we decided to give it a shot. When I sat down, our eager waiter asked me what I'd like to drink. I asked him if they only have fountain sodas, and he looked at me like I was speaking Greek. I said, "What do you have, bottles?" He said they don't have cans or anything; it just comes out of a gun. So... Fountain sodas then. Got it. My friend said his Mr. Pibb tasted off, and asked to switch to Coke. He said sure, but he'll have to pay for the Coke. Now, on to the food.... I looked at the menu. I saw about three pages of rolls. I looked at the specials board. More rolls. Looked at the regular menu.... Standard Japanese fare. They have teriyaki. TERIYAKI! Who eats teriyaki? This isn't Samurai Sam's, is it? They have some sashimi. All very standard cuts of fish. Tuna, white tuna, salmon, yellowtail, sea bass, and mackerel is probably all they had. Maybe the weakest selection I've seen, well, anywhere. The nigiri sushi (which I'm pretty sure I heard our waiter pronounce as "NIGH gi ri" sushi to the diners at the next table) was pretty standard as well. Ra has better selection. Yes, that's right, Ra, one of the most notoriously generic sushi restaurants in the world, has a better selection of fish than Temari! Anyways, at about six different points while I was looking through the tome they call a "specials menu" (which consists of about 99.5% rolls, plus tuna poke), our eager waiter asked us if we know what we would like yet. Sorry, bro, can't you see I'm reading here! I'm like half way through! My eyes are getting tired from reading the words "spicy tuna," "eel sauce," and "chili sauce" so much! Because 75% of the rolls have one of more of those ingredients! It was amazing how many different rolls they had, yet how few of them actually sounded appealing. Most of them seemed to be more focused on sauces and spice than actual fish flavor. It's like people who eat sushi in Gilbert don't want to taste the awful flavor of fish! Gross, right! Fish, ugh! I pointed out to my friend that one particular roll "has like three sauces: chili sauce, eel sauce, garlic citrus sauce, and kiwi sauce. Four sauces!" (imagine the Spanish Inquisition.) Anyways, about our actual order: we went with the "chef's choice" sashimi platter, a romantic roll (cucumber with a bunch of stuff inside), a sunkist roll (some fish completely drowned in citrus flavor), and amaebi and quail egg sushi. I think "chef's choice" means "cheapest," because no real sushi chef would put both tuna and salmon on his own plate if he were picking what he wanted to eat. The sashimi itself was OK I guess. The rolls were very boring, as we expected. The sweet shrimp was good, but you can tell what type of clientele they have when they placed the heads on our table, and the diners at the next table over seemed awestruck by the fact that someone would actually eat a shrimp head, what with those cute little eyeballs staring at them. This brings me to the conclusion of this review: this place utterly destroyed our hope of finding a good sushi bar in the East Valley. Shimogamo was respectable, but even there, the owner was unable to keep the best cuts of fish in stock because he had no confidence his clientele would buy enough of it to keep it fresh. This is the East Valley. People think sushi is a bunch of rolls. You ask an East Valley denizen about their favorite sushi place, and they say, "I like this place, they have great rolls!" Only here can a sushi bar stock just seven cuts of fish, and just offer 500 rolls with the same ten ingredients, and maybe serve some teriyaki chicken for those who REALLY hate sushi, and be successful. I think we're going to look for the East Valley sushi bar with the lowest yelp rating, because that one is probably the best. At least they didn't end up charging us for that extra Coke. Addendum: I was just reminded about the fortune cookie they served with dessert. A fortune cookie! At a Japanese Restaurant! On the back of the fortune it said "Learn Chinese." Not making this up. « show less " Sorry for coping your review BUT I couldn't of said it better!!!!!
We LOVE this sushi place and we have tried different ones all over the valley. This one if our favorite. Try the Tuna Pokey...pick a low number unless you like it spicy! Also great rolls are the Primo Roll. Best seller. The spicy ninja is a great for a little spice in your roll. Finishes with some creamy strawberry ice cream.
The sushi chef was ugly but the food was awesome. Definitely a five star restaurant!

Reviews:
I have always enjoyed coming to Menchie's since moving to the Chandler/Gilbert area, but today sealed the deal for me! After recently watching the "Undercover Boss" for Menchie's, I'd been craving a cup but didn't have time to stop by. Today was a special day for me, so I thought it'd be a nice day for a treat. I came in and the gentleman working was very friendly, definitely a manager... Possibly the franchisee (speculation on my part). Anyway, as us ladies tend to share exciting things, I shared my exciting news with him and he I return made my day even more special! The yogurt is good at this location and the frequently change the flavors and the fruit is always fresh--add great service to that and there's no excuse not to stop in for a cup of Froyo!
The yogurt is great, and the toppings are phenomenal (especially the hot fudge). The reason I give this place 4 stars instead of 5 is the price is outrageously expensive. It's actually more expensive than going out for dinner, which is ridiculous.
I love me some froyo, yo! I am a happy little camper to to see a Menchie's in Gilbertland because I am huge fan of their high quality yogurt (tons of selections) and tasty little toppings. I am also big on choosing the no sugar added froyo because I am a freak about my sugar intake and milk has enough on its own. Menchie's had two perfectly suited NSA froyo on this particular evening, German Chocolate and Iced Coffee. Froyo HEAVEN! The girl who was working was uber nice and friendly and always told every customer to have a smiley day, which I thought was really cute and different.
