A fun place with good food and good service. The atmosphere is neat with multiple antiques/collectables displayed from ceiling and walls. The BBQ nachos are good and big enough to share as a meal. The freshly-made turnovers are awesome. Also like the fried green beans and just recently tried the new Texas Wontons appetizer which was also very good. Whistlestop is my choice for BBQ in Searcy.

Best BBQ in Searcy hands down! I take people here often and the food is always consistent. If you're a fried pickle fan, you must get them here. Fried tomatoes are tasty as well. All their meats are smoked perfectly but the chicken is devine. Best thing here hands down are the homemade fried pies. MUST ORDER!! They take about 15 min to prepare so I would order once they bring your food..

Tonight, 10/31/2012, was our second visit in about 6 months. We will not be back. I had a pulled pork dinner and my wife had a barbecued chicken dinner. The chicken was tough and dry and my pulled pork was flavorless. Her purple-hulled peas were so bad she got a salad instead - and was charged an extra $1.50! The containers for the sides were ridiculously small. The roll was from a package - not homemade. The water was great! It was the only thing that lived up to our expectations! Do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere.

I usually eat at the Whistlestop 2x a month. I find that their BBQ IS full of smoke flavor and not steamed full of water. The pulled pork meat quality is good as is the flavor. Their ribs are excellent and worth the price! Brisket has a great flavor and you can see excellent color on the smoke ring ! Their chicken is good but why get it when you can get pork! A negative to their restaurant is the size of their sides for the price: I don't think you get your money's worth! Great family and workers with friendly service! Best place in Searcy for BBQ!
