The good: The food is delicious. The bad: Our order was lost in the shuffle because our receipt number and table number didn't match, so we waited a long time. We visited on a Saturday at lunch. The place was packed. The only available tables were outside in the sun, though a wind made it tolerable. We waited and waited. We became concerned when late comers had their food arrive. Finally, a server came out with a few pieces of an order, no number attached, to see if anyone was missing food. We became suspicious. Lo and behold, it was part of our order. Thankfully, mistake was noted and quickly remedied. My husband was given the next fresh chicken; it was extremely good, very hot with a good coating. He was very surprised and pleased with their hot sauce, too, since it actually had a kick. He really liked the fries as well. I had the house salad with grilled chicken and honey mustard dressing. The salad had a great amount of chicken and good mixed greens. I was very pleased, and pretty much inhaled the thing. In all, despite their error, the food was good and we appreciated their response.

Loved this place. I was hesitant to go to a chicken fingers place, but we took the family one night. What a pleasant surprise! They have grilled or fried chicken. I got a chicken salad and it was very good and filling. The kids had chicken strips and they were moist, tender and hot. And the Fries were yummy!! The wait was quite short for our food. No time for the kids to get restless. The atmosphere was good. a few small tables and one long large one- family style. There is an outdoor porch, but it was much too cold to sit out there, even though the boys insisted it was fine. It would be a good place for a quick bite with a large group. They have a drive thru for a to-go option.

Got the 3 piece chicken tender basket and it was the smallest 3 pieces of chicken tenders I have got ever. They were so small that I was going to take a picture of them for reference later but was with friends and didn't want to make a scene. Even my friends remarked how small my tenders were. I paid $7 for my meal and left there hungry just like when I walked in. It's really amazing how places like these are trying to give customers less and less hoping they will not realize it while raising their prices. A much better deal is to go right next door to the White Oak gas station and get their chicken tenders. They are much bigger and cheaper.

Love Slim chickens! Always fresh, never frozen. Chicken is always juicy and good. I'm a fan of the 3 and 3 so I can have tenders and wings. The fries are good but my favorite has to be the fried pickles with ranch dip. They are dill chips, not spears so crunchy yum. I've enjoyed a wrap too. When it comes to sauce, I'm not one to move the heat past mild on the wings but my favorite for tenders has to be the slims sauce. It's sweet and tangy. Love it! Now...to the new location. This is why you are no longer 5 stars. One, you took away the draft beer in those wonderful icy goblets. Why? You had the coldest beer in town. I am not interested in a bottled beer. Draft is always better than a bottle. Shame on you. Two, the noise-the level of loud was too much. I am sitting in a booth with three of my friends at lunch and we are yelling at each other in order to converse. Ridiculous. And three-what is with the short squatty stools to sit on? Thats uncomfortable. There are only 7-8 booths and the rest are these stools. Don't like it. So this patron who loves Slim's is not happy with the new setup. I don't recall seeing tv's so if there was one, then there was only one and not 4-5 you had at the old place to watch sports on. Felt very fast food like and not inviting.

Only found a couple places where I really can say I like the chicken & waffles & I've been to Gladys knights. Can add this place to the list!

Loud. Loud. Loud. Good chicken. Went here for lunch with co-workers. This place is always hopping at lunch. Atmosphere: Very loud. Practically had to shout at each other to be heard. so extremely busy that tables are rarely available and usually trashy with food goop all over the place. Service: Not much to say here since you pay when you walk in and they drop the food at your number. I will say that the ladies working the registers can be short with you and expect you to know exactly what you want and ask for no suggestions. Food: Super hot, super fresh chicken. I love the variety of sauces that accompany and the amount of food you receive for the price. Overall: Fantastic food. I can put up with the noisy atmosphere to have lunch with co-workers and friends. The TVs tuned to ESPN are nice to see some top or not top plays in sports. Will I be back? Absolutely. Probably within the next 3 months.

I have never had an issue ordering through the drive through. I have never been inside though. The drive through line says something about the quality of the food. The thing with Slim's is that its so tastey. When the craving hits you... you must satisfy it before it consumes you.
