Amazing food! Great diner!

Best darn breakfast spot around! Bring your appetite!! Service was quick and friendly. Regulars are greeted with a smiling, "you going to have the normal or mix it up today?" Blend of the old and new: classic diner feel but with a "modern" touch (i.e. coke freestyle machine). What more to be said? Try it out!

Went to breakfast there with a friend, the service was great and quick, brought our food on time good food, everything we asked for she brought promptly, I would go back.

We have been to Lucy's once for dinner and twice for breakfast. The dinner items were definitely better than the breakfast items. The pork chops were tender and juicy. The green beans and potato salad were tasty. The highlight from the meal was the hot and creamy mac & cheese. The hamburger was freshly made and was great! The onion rings were hot and crunchy. We were comped pecan pie which was nothing special. The hot and fresh cinnamon rolls are the best! For breakfast we ordered the Philly Steak and Cheese Omelet, Western Omelet, and Silver Dollar Pancakes. The Philly omelet is stuffed with shredded steak and sautéed green peppers and onions. There is a slice of Swiss cheese on top. The steak was bland. The peppers and onions were greasy. There was virtually no cheese. The Western omelet also had virtually no cheese and its taste was nothing special. The highlight of breakfast was the Silver Dollar Pancakes. You get 6 smaller pancakes which we shared. The regular pancakes looked large and thick so these smaller ones were perfect as a side for the omelets. Highly recommend dinner. We won't be going back for breakfast.

While visiting on a working vacation in Rogers, I was wanting to scope out some local flair and came across Lucy's Diner. As an outsider, I looked the part with my flip-flops, collared shirt, and baggy cargo shorts. There was no mistaking that I had just flown in from somewhere else. Yet I was greeted with a hearty, "Welcome to Lucy's. Sit wherever you'd like!" This was the beginning of a great down-home, southern experience that encouraged me to visit once a day while I stayed there. It was the last meal that I had ate before boarding my plane back home and it resonated with me greatly. The food is extremely reasonable and service is quick (even on Sunday where they were quite busy). Not to mention that there's plenty of it! The Good: Amazing service with people that are genuinely interested in creating an awesome experience. They call regular customers by their first names. They were engaging and never pressuring. A fun atmosphere with a "roadside diner" feel. Food portions were phenomenal and made of fresh, quality ingredients. The Bad: Although all the portions were sizable, Lucy's forte is their grits and potatoes. They take over the plate and taste really good. Unfortunately, the meats seemed a bit bland and required some kind of condiment. The Ugly: The servers also function as cashiers and bussers. While I noticed about 4-5 at any given moment in the condensed dining room, there seemed to be very little in way of an organization system. Like car salespeople on a lot. This didn't seem to impose anything in regards to service but other duties like bussing tables seemed to sometimes lack. My $.02... Lucy's Diner is a fun place for cheap eats any time of the day. Big portions and great atmosphere make up for simple aesthetics that may be lost. I highly recommend eating here while staying in Rogers or becoming a regular if you are new to the area.

This place was dirty!!!!!! The staff looked like they were all half baked and the food was not good. Everything was bland, greasy and cold. The restroom was DISGUSTING and trash was everywhere...we spent $30 on two people and crappy food....not to mention the 45 minute wait in a half empty place! I would never go here again. The Waffle Hut down the road puts this place to shame. Don't waste your money because you could get better quality from McDonalds.

This is a great all-night diner. If you want a burger, bacon and eggs or pie at 3 a.m., this place is it. Fun music and atmosphere. Absolute favorite item is the peanut butter chocolate pie. Whooboy, if they have it available, you do not want to miss out on this one. It is creamy, cold, chocolatey, sweet and will likely cause you to make suggestive noises (so try to restrain yourself). If you love diners, you will want to check out this place.

Well the reviews of this place are all over the page, but my experience was a solid 4 stars. We went in about 930 on a Saturday morning for breakfast. We were able just be seated immediately, although the place was pretty busy, and all the staff were super prompt and friendly. The menu has all the normal breakfast items well represented, and a great selection of omelettes. I noticed that some combos would include grits and hashbrowns, not one or the other and they would also do the hashbrowns with all the toppings like Waffle House. They have a ridiculous menu of soda fountain drinks for us non-coffee drinkers. I'm also not a big breakfast person, so I grabbed a soda, a couple of eggs over easy, sausage, and a biscuit with gravy. Eggs were perfectly done, biscuit was good, sausage was okay, and gravy was meh, by which I mean it's like gravy at every other breakfast establishment. Everybody uses the mix, and nothing with real meat. Pretty flavorless. My hubby had the same eggs, hash browns, bacon, and two incredible pancakes. I don't really even like pancakes, and these were super fluffy, but with a nice almost toasty outside. I helped myself to several bites & we still couldn't finish them all. The fact that we were surrounded by super nice people, wanted for nothing the whole time, and I'm actually thinking about eating pancakes there again means I got to go four stars. Maybe I'll venture in one day for chicken and dumplings and let you know how those are.

I'm reviewing their breakfast only. I come here weekends between 10am-12nn. I love this place! I prefer to come here than Denny's. They are: Open 24/7. Available parking. Cheap. Good portioned food. I suggest getting their pancakes and hash browns. Pancakes are fluffy and rich. They come with heavy butter. Hash browns are scattered on the grill so they are crispy. They offer several toppings: ham onions, etc. Check out their menu for more details. But definitely get the hash browns! The french toast and waffle are not that good. French toast made from cinnamon swirl bread - a bit disappointing. They have two entrances- one by the entry side and one by the exit side. You park around the building. Once you get in, it's seat yourself. I suggest waiting for a booth or table by windows to be available because sitting by the door would not be a good experience as there's traffic to and from kitchen and people would be standing next to you waiting for table. Overall, a good experience on all my visits.

Awful service. Orders incorrectly prepared. Never again. I would give you a ZERO , but Yelp won't let me.

I went to Lucy's tonight and had a good meal only to find out that they just recently changed the oil they fry with to Peanut oil. For most people, this is no big deal. To me, who has an extreme allergy to peanuts, it is a huge deal. If you are going to change to something like that, you HAVE to inform your customers. And the manager never came out and apologized or anything. And when my wife called the best he could say was in sorry and that we could call the corporate office. Now my night is ruined as I had to rush home to take medicine hoping I won't have to spend the night in the ER.

I had the chicken fried steak breakfast with biscuit and gravy and grits. I also had a pancake. Aside from the grits (mediocre) the rest of the food was fantastic, and I enjoyed the service. Will definitely come back.

Great little diner, the food is terrific. My one visit was a very busy time and I waited way too long to get food but.... It was spot on!

Their food is good, it's kind of hit or miss. I was seriously turned off by the pregnant waitress out front taking her smoke break while drinking some sort of mystery "juice" that made a fellow waitress pucker her face due to the strength of the beverage. For some reason I get the feeling that some codes are not being followed.

Hands down the best place in rogers to eat!!! Do not miss this. It might just be a diner but it's the best diner food in the world. The gravy is not real but it tastes great. Everyone is so friendly and its a real family place. Try the steak and eggs. It's my favorite. Oh Ya and it serves breakfast all day.

Have now been here for both breakfast and dinner. This place is completely bipolar. The breakfast service was terrific, the food was good, the kitchen staff amazing. True professionals in the kitchen knocking out breakfast standards in record time. The staff was friendly and efficient. Then I decided to try dinner. It was a complete 180. The place was dirty, even for a diner. Service was horrendous . There were four other tables seated when we arrived but our meals still took over an hour to come. When they got there one of three was wrong, it was sent back and came back wrong again. A hamburger with just ketchup, mustard and cheese should not take three attempts. When the food did get there correct it was good, but not good enough to to offset the service. My advice weekday breakfast hard to beat, weekend dinner best just retreat.

One reviewer mentioned Dixie Cafe. I'll take these guys over them any day. The food is authentically good comfort food. The service is great. If you leave hungry you must have shared a plate.
(5)Mallorie R.
Huge portions with reasonable prices. The food is always good and they serve breakfast 24/7! Free pie on Mondays and Thursdays and a huge menu of things to choose from. It's a great diner

"can I start you off with fried green bean sprouts?". And with that, the amazingly serpentine and nauseating trip from Cairo, IL to Rogers was forgotten. Since we pulled in at 1130, and Rogers is in a dry county, we had few food options. Lucy's was perfect. Highschoolers occupied a booth two back and left. One nerd, one musician nerd two arkansas punks and one nickleback nerd. They were al having a great time and were having Ice Cream on this Sunday evening. I did not get the bean sprouts, but should have.

Visited Lucy's 3 times: Went for breakfast. Restaurant was packed which was a good sign. Food was delicious. Portions were large. Bill was very reasonable. Went to lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered the Turkey Dinner. Food was not very hot. A little disappointed but decided to give it another shot. Went to lunch on a Monday. Ordered breakfast. Ham in omlette was burned; Hashbrowns were off. Biscuit was not fresh. Originally had Lucy's rated at 5 stars but had to downgrade to 3 stars based on last 2 visits. I will probably try one more time.

Wonderful fries, friendly staff. Burger was good, but nothing special and $7

New diner in the former Hi-D-Ho location near downtown Rogers. It's open 24hrs. The menu is full of daily specials, home cooking, lots of sandwiches, an entire burger section and you can get breakfast at any time. I decided on a weekday special of roast beef with three sides, cornbread and a drink for under $7. Great value and very tasty. The mashed potatoes were yummy lumpy and the mac and cheese tasted homemade. I will definitely go back and try other items including breakfast. My only complaint is how crowded it is. They left the old seating set up so unless you are a table or two or four, you won't really fit and won't be able to sit together. The waitresses were super friendly and stayed on top of keeping my drink filled. While Wesners might be the town fav, the food here is ten times better.

Good Dixie Cafe Type food. Similar also to Neals in Springdale. Chickenfried steak was good, everything was good, nothing great.

Great breakfast!! Outdoor patio and great service.

Ahhhh, if only I could give less stars than one star. If only. Went there on Sunday & had their turkey dinner "special" for $8.99. They brought out roast beef. Eventually they brought out the turkey dinner. Cold canned green beans & lukewarm overcooked canned corn that had browned. A couple of turkey slices were plopped over the worst cornbread dressing I have ever had in my life. Think glop that you would clean out of a garbage disposal & you'd be close on the description & color & probably the taste, which was absolutely awful! Really really really don't go there. Really.

Not always the greatest in the diner world, but I eat at Lucy's every other day when I'm in town. Great breakfast, very decent entrees and the prices....cummon. How do they pay their staff? I don't know. But I'll ask. I'm on my way there now!
(5)Jae K.
Not good. Inedible. My belgian waffle was a soggy mess, the "fresh" strawberries it came with was Hershey's strawberry syrup. I ordered a dinner salad which was described as having cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, etc and I got a handful of rotten iceberg lettuce and two grape tomatoes. We ordered to-go and it took 30 minutes with only 2 tables full in the restaurant. I was shocked at how cheap the prices were, but then when I saw the cheap quality of the food it all came together. I know this is "diner food" but I have never been to a diner where the food was this awful! The only thing this place has going for it is a cute color scheme, and that is not enough to make me come back.
(2)Jill J.
Great place for breakfast and you can't beat the prices. We had the basics - eggs, bacon, biscuits & gravy, and short stack. I also like their pie and dessert selection. It's tough to get a table during rush times, so we usually go later in the morning to avoid the crowd.
(3)Charles G.
I love this diner. The food is worth every penny including a great breakfast at a great price. So what's wrong? In my opinion it's lack of management. Today I was there with four other people. OK, it's Sunday and fairly busy. Service is sometimes very good and often very bad. The waitresses have to clean their own tables and this was being done while people at several tables waited to place orders. Seems they could take the orders and then do the cleanup. I place the blame for the sporadic service directly on management. Everyone needs a little guidance and training. On a busy Sunday morning you will see the manager doing anything possible to keep things operating smoothly in most well run restaurants. Today the manager was in the parking lot playing with his shiny red Avalanche truck. Seems to reflect an "I don't care" attitude. Perhaps a change in management would be a really positive change for Lucy's.

Like Cas, we enjoyed the food. My son and I were looking for someplace we could get breakfast for dinner vs. IHOP etc. Got a recommendation to try Lucy's out and we were glad we did. Pancakes were as big as the plates and the waffles were freshly made. Put some strawberries on top and wonderful meal. Only complaint, and not really one at that, is that our waitress was new and couldn't answer any of our questions or make a recommendation. I'm sure if she lasts she will learn.

For the money this place is great. Breakfast of hashbrowns with 2 eggs & bacon, Lg OJ & Lg sweet tea was under $17, for 2. Will come again
(5)Gregg D.
It was okay with typical diner fare. Good menu choices, the prices are cheap and it was pretty clean. The waitress didn't care much about serving though and the chili I got needed to be reheated in the microwave. I guess if you are looking for a pretty fast, cheap meal it is as good a spot as any.
(3)Jeffrey K.
It's good. Decent food, friendly atmosphere. I live next door... please drive slowly through the alley if you use it. Thanks!
(4)K T.
I really, really wanted to like this place more than I did. Everything my family ate tasted burned, like they burned something on the flattop but didn't clean it, so all the rest of the food cooked after tasted burned, despite being otherwise. Maybe it was just a one time thing but I don't think we'll be returning.
(2)Kim S.
Have been there two times and will be going back. Great place to eat, food is wonderful and prices are very reasonable. Everyone needs to check it out.

Went for breakfast on Sunday. Got thereabout10:30 and had to have breakfast. I got the chicken fried steak. It came with hash browns, eggs and toast. The eggs came outs one big egg with two eyes. They were not cooked as I ordered, but it might just not be my week, the steak was cooked, but not as crunchy as I would like. Pretty full, and I was disappointed that a 24 hour dinner would not have the Sunday special before 11:00. Server was new, but did try. I will give it another shot on a weekday.
