Fish City Grill Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Came here with group and ordered the wild-caught salmon, fried shrimp, lump crab cake, fried dill pickles, and oyster nachos. Came here because of the good reviews. Service was good. Food quality was mediocre at best. Was disappointed by the salmon being slightly overcooked and dry. If you in the mood for seafood, I definitely recommend Bonefish Grill which is not too far away.

    Shrimp tacos! So good.

The sides are all really good. Had the blackened catfish and the fish itself was ok. Prices are reasonable and friendly service.

Went back to Fish City Grill again tonight to give their fish tacos another try. First, I would like to appreciate the restaurant for reaching out after my last visit and their attempt to make it right. They didn't have to do that, but the follow up (and gift certificate) were appreciated. My son also acted better on this visit so we were able to enjoy our food in the restaurant versus taking it home. Started off with an order of calamari again, and again it was delicious! Then came the fish tacos....I asked for no pico on them, and when they arrived, they were filled with little tomatoes. The waitress was quick to come over and when I asked her about the pico, she informed me that they did not put the pico on there, and the tomatoes I was seeing was from the sauce that comes with them as well. She was quick to take them back and prepare them again without any tomatoes. I know...I'm crazy - probably the only person in the world who doesn't like tomatoes! It was then that I realized that last time my order must've been right as well - they probably left off the pico, but kept the tomato filled sauce on them, which is what made them soggy and inedible for me. The waitress quickly brought the new tacos to my table and I apologized for any misunderstanding. The only suggestion I have is that when someone says no pico, it could be good to let them know that tomatoes still come in the dish. Minor detail and I probably should've asked as well. Overall, the visit was better than the last. Service was quick and my husband enjoyed his chicken po'boy. Their fish tacos may not be for me, but the calamari definitely is!

5/23/2015 Stopped in today about 12:30 ordered pan seared Salmon with blueberry chipotle sauce only problem, someone needs to teach the chef how to cook Salmon. Way to dry due over cooking other than that food was good

Stopped in at 5pm on a Thursday. Was immediately seated and put in a drink order. A few minutes later, a generous and well made Bombay martini arrives. Had the oysters on the half shell for an appetizer. They were fresh, nicely sized, and were served with horseradish, cocktail sauce and lemon. A mignonette would have been nice, but oh well. I was nervous about ordering fresh oysters here, but it turned out I had no reason to be. I had the grilled shrimp, oyster, and catfish plate with a side of vegetables and gumbo. Everything was very good, properly prepared and well seasoned. Service throughout was spot on and the atmosphere was very comfortable. I'm definitely coming back.

This is a favorite of mine from back in the day, when I am in Rogers visiting old faces and hugging old necks I always make it a point to get me some fried catfish and this is one of my go to spots, excellent and lots of great memories to do!

Really good! A little pricy but the drinks weren't! I got the honey chipotle shrimp tacos and they were amazing, my boyfriend got the fish n chip. Would def recommend this spot.

This was kind of a last minute decision when driving home from Little Rock and passing by Rogers. Wanted to waste a little time wandering through the Pinnacle Mall and then have a small lunch at Fish City. Turns out, this last minute decision was the best thing we did all day. They have a great seafood menu and it took a bit for me to finally decide what to order. But I settled on the Honey Chipotle Shrimp Tacos. The shrimp is breaded and fried and covered in this delicious, moderately spicy sauce. Topped with avocado and a carrot/celery mix, I couldn't get enough. Super bold flavor, hearty and filling - I can see why it's listed under the Favorites on the menu. I would order this again in a heartbeat. Swapped the rice side for the cider vinegar slaw. I wasn't sure what to expect here, but I was pleasantly surprised. The slaw itself was diced very finely, and the vinegar mix tasted just like those sweet bread and butter pickles. Heavenly good. My husband got the oyster poboy which he enjoyed very much. Everything tasted very fresh and was prepared nicely. I want to go back and try something else. The lump crab cake sandwich, regular fish sandwich, the fish and chips, red beans and rice. Too bad it's an hour away from home, as this is one of the best chain restaurants I've ever been to.

Very impressed... Lucked on the restaurant while waiting to get in PF Changs after razorback game. Quick seating, quick service and amazing food! Impressed that our grandson was served first and before us. We would comeback again ! Crawfish po'boy was wonderful!

Stopped here Friday night and was seated right away. Place was full which was a good sign. Had the local beer....not too good. Wife had Blackened Rainbow Trout and I had fish and chips. Food came out real fast. Fish was good in the fish and chips. Fries tasted like the they sat under a heat lamp for quite some time. Hush puppy was cold and dense. I agree with a lot of the reviews on learning to cook fish. Trout was dry and over cooked and not really blackened. More like seasoned and grilled. Cheesy Grits were good. I will try the place again but order something different.

Shrimp Po Boy and Waffle fries were pretty good. The shrimp was well seasoned and tasted really fresh. Gulf oysters were exceptional.

No elaborate story. We ordered and were served. Great food, great drinks, great service (she even was in training). We eat here about twice a month and are never disappointed. I always get one of the specials and have never had a bad one. My wife gets the fish or shrimp tacos and loves them. Wish we had more restaurants like this one!!

Stopped in on a Wednesday based on the Yelp reviews. Grill was half filled at 5:30. Was told to seat anywhere. Waitress was there immediately and asked for drink order. We first asked if they offered fried crawfish tails. She said yes and pointed out on the menu a half and half order - half crawfish and half shrimp(?). We asked if we could get just the crawfish and she said yes - they would replace the shrimp(?) with crawfish so it would be a double order. We then ordered the tails. I wanted the gumbo and my wife wanted the crab bisque. We ordered drinks at the same time. The drinks came promptly. Shortly afterwards, the meal was delivered. It was as ordered. The tails were smaller than expected but still very good with a relatively thin batter - not the over whelming all batter typical of many places that make it look like you are getting a lot of crawfish. The serving size was appropriate. The waitress came by multiple times to check on our food and drinks. As we were finishing, she asked if we wanted deserts. My wife asked if the bread pudding had a true whiskey sauce. With a yes answer, we ordered one bread pudding. It came with two spoons, was hot, and was a large serving. Definitely big enough for two. Overall, I will definitely return the next time we are in the area. Definitely recommended. Btw, I seldom give five stars but I think they deserve it.

This place wa recommended by a friend and was a nice find. my wife is from Louisiana so I have high standards for southern seafood, and Fish Grille did not disappoint! Excellent gumbo and a top knock shrimp poboy. Enjoy!

Second time to eat here and it won't be the last. Service was very good - friendly wait staff and food was delivered quickly. I had woodfire smoked salmon that was great. My wife went with fish and chips and she was pleased too.

Visiting family this weekend and looking to try something new. We went at 6:00 on Friday night and were seated immediately. Our server was very personable and recommended some great dishes. We took his suggestion and tried the roasted jalapeno soup, which we highly recommend. I had the fish tacos--so good! I appreciated standard "American fare" on the kids menu for my son who doesn't like seafood. We'll definitely be back.

The manager is very friendly and pays attention to detail the restaurant is very clean and inviting and the food is so delicious and well prepared We could tell the fish was fresh and prepared uniquely with great flavors.

What can I say? Only good things. Their service rocks! The is some of the best seafood I've ever had the pleasure to completely salivate over and devour. Get the oyster nachos, you won't regret it. And they've always got great beer

My wife and I just had a fantastic crab meal! The crab was fresh and sweet, the shrimp had a great flavor, and the andouille was nice and spicy.

Not a huge fan compared to other seafood places in area such as Bonefish and Crabbys. Fried seafood seems to be the speciLty with some fresh selections. Service is good and convenient to shopping. Just not overly flavorful with inconsistent portions and quality.

This place has it all. Great service, fantastic food and friendly staff. Oyster Nachos and the Jalapeño Soup are my absolute faves!

Service was poor. Sat nearly 15 minutes before waiter finally asked if I wanted a drink. Food was pretty good but overpriced for what you get.

We love Fish City. First off the wait staff there is great!! They make us feel like they are truly happy to see us everytime we come in. All the wait staff is outstanding and do a great job. The food has become very consistent. Had a few hiccups in the beginning but seem to have things well in order now. The Oyster Nachos are to die for...we usually order one to two orders every visit. We DO miss the Shrimp and Andouille Sausage Mac & Cheese however...BRING THAT BACK PLEASE!!! The specials change daily so that means it's going to be fresh. They do seem to try different things, which we like. The bar is great and do a great job with drinks. We've made some great friends there. We hope they never change. If you've not been there...by all means give it a try.

Why haven't we been here before? It was 2pm on a Saturday and this place was rockin'! I believe there was some sort of happy hour from 3-6pm. Even though it was busy, we were seated upon arrival and ordered fried pickles (my favorite) for an appetizer. A+ for the pickles, love them! They reminded me of Hooter's fried pickles. I was this close to ordering the gumbo, but I went with the Serafin's Fish Tacos, grilled, instead. I didn't expect the presentation, but they were yummy! My fiancé ordered the blackened shrimp. I loved their rice! I can't wait to go back and try their gumbo, shrimp and grits, and mac & cheese!! Our only regret was not ordering the famous oyster nachos. Next time!!

Not a fan and won't be back. Greasy food, greasy atmosphere -- and what is up with that smell? You are better off going to Bonefish ... or even Red Lobster if you're looking for seafood in Rogers. Had dinner for two at 7pm on a Thursday evening. We had a coconut shrimp appetizer, two entrees off the specials menu, and a dessert. Add one beer to the mix and we somehow spent over $60. For sub-par food? Outrageous. Everything we ate was too greasy and too salty. The quality of the fish was not up to expectations - even for frozen fish. The place was also empty and far too quiet. We should've walked away from the start. Sorry folks, but I can't recommend this place.

  • Carrie G.

This place has been hit, or miss for us. We will good food, and poor service. The next time poor food, good service. I must say, the smell has been bad lately. Overwhelming, fishy smell. I had some sort of special, which had white fish in it. The white fish, I am not exaggerating tasted like ammonia. The white fish was horrid, we had family in town and brought them there. I spit the fish into my napkin, as not to alarm them. I have since not ordered anything on the "specials board". The jalapeño soup is my favorite. I do recommend it.

  • Jen L.

Delicious ! Crawfish ettoufe(sp) and chipotle shrimp tacos are killer, delicious and will have you coming back for more! It's a little on the small side so come early cus they fill up quick! I wouldn't mind seeing them expanding. Other note we ordered a half dozen of oysters ummm FRESH AND LARGE so delicious !

Best Jalapeño Soup Ever, I loved the fish tacos. GREAT place if you like causal dinning. Has a bar feel but great for kids. A high recommend if you are looking for great day out in the mall area.

Worth a look but not a special trip. Outside, the mall is interesting and has lots to offer. Inside, the food is mediocre. Service is OK.

Very good service. Got apps and meal within 15 minutes of ordering. The blackened catfish was delicious. Highly recommend.

  • Heather S.

I had the fish tacos. They were more like fish burritos. They didn't have much flavor and were soggy from the pico de gallo. The rice was spicy but actually had no more flavor other than the heat. My daughter had fish and chips. The fries were waffle fries and they were awesome. The fish was greasy and had no flavor. This was a busy restaurant. We were there on a Friday night. Overall the atmosphere was fun but the food all seemed to be pretty bland.

  • Patrick K.

This was the second time I have been to Fish City Grill. Both times the service has been great. Knowledgeable staff that can spout off the menu with ease and adds their opinion on their favorite dishes (obviously the specials as they cost more). The meals were made quick and the cuisine was good. My wife had the grilled rainbow trout and said it was good, but not amazing. I had a seafood pasta with assorted fish and a vodka sauce that was very good. No spice to it, which was fine. It could have used a little kick of some sort. Overall I will eat here again for shore. The variety of fish dishes is excellent and the specials are always changing.

  • Bruce K.

Absolutely excellent! A warm welcome and a comfortable booth, our waiter (Tony) took our drink order (peach sweet tea!) while we looked over the menus. A sign on the wall mentioned the Oyster Nachos, so we had a plate of those. Six fried oysters (cornbread batter, not the usual rubber band nastiness) with a delicious remoulade and a pile of spicy brushetta on six round nacho chips. Absolutely delicious! Dinner was a crabcake sandwich (more crab than cake) and a yummy Cajun Shrimp Pasta (in a red chili cream sauce over penne pasta) that was rather spicy. We finished it off with bread pudding (awesome) and key lime pie that was so tart, I couldn't finish it and brought it home. I can't think of a single thing that I would change! Even the price was excellent - two seafood entrees, two desserts, an appetizer and two beverages was less than $50. Parking is ample here in the mall. The restaurant is located to the right of PF Changs. After dinner, maybe hit a movie!

Was in town visiting some friends and we stopped in for Sunday lunch. We all ordered different things and everything looked great. I tried a bite of the crab bisque which was really good. I had the fish and chips...delicious. The fish was amazing, but the highlight of the meal was my strawberry mojito. I've seriously never tasted anything so refreshing! I wasn't sure what to expect because a lot of places use that nasty thick pre-made sugary strawberry crap. Not here...I saw the bartender muddle my berries himself. I could drink one (or two, or three) of those every day! Yum! Highly recommend it!

Located in the Pinnacle Hills Promenade, Fish City Grill offers a good selection of seafood dishes amid a sea of run of the mill chain restaurants. The waitresses were very attentive and atmosphere was nice. I had the grilled salmon with basil butter and it came with steamed veggies and potatoes. The salmon was nicely cooked and had good flavor, but the veggies and potato side were not flavorful at all. I guess I could've slathered the packets of butter on it all... They had several beers on tap, but the glass they served it in smelled funny. Despite the lack of flavor of the sides and smelly glass, I'd still come back to try other dishes. The other stuff looked promising.

I have ate here 4 times. This last time has me questioning whether to come back. 3 of us at a table, 2 of us ordered the seafood enchiladas which are only served on Saturdays. We were starving! The sauce was delicious but 1/4 way into the first enchilada one taste was above all others: salt. When I started into the 2nd enchilada I could taste the delicious sauce on top but not the shrimp or craw fish inside. Finally I opened the tortilla and tasted the filling alone, a salt lick for sure. BTW, the shrimp inside was the same coated shrimp they use for their chipotle tacos. (Exact same on this day). The other person with the enchilada dish had the same issue. When the waiter came we did say how delicious the sauce was but mentioned the enchilada filling was salty. He was not pleased. His demeanor changed: silence. He walked away from our table. What? I guess some wait staff are only skilled in receiving positive feedback. We paid for our meals and had our 3rd persons chipotle shrimp taco boxed to go. Later I took a bite of the taco, a true salt lick. I guess the chef that day had a super heavy hand and did not taste the seafood filling before serving. Previously I had 3 good experiences. The 4th visit was $50 worth of salt. I hope this is not a new trend.

This place is nested in what I just found out to be a beautiful outdoor mall! Who knew Bentonville had this kind of mall nearby. Anyhow, back to the restaurant. Walking in I get the feeling of a diner-type turned restaurant. The restaurant contains a lot of 4 person booths and 4 top tables. I don't think they'll be able to hold too many groups. Pros: Hefty portioned salads. I tried the pecan roasted shrimp salad. I could've done without the raspberry vinaigrette and stuck with a balsamic or something less sweet since all the craisins in the salad was sweet enough. Cheap prices for the amount of food Cons: Maybe because it was closing time, but upon walking into the restaurant i smelled the odor of dirty wash clothes. I think they wiped down the bar with it, but that wasn't appealing. I wasn't too impressed with the oyster nachos, which was cornmeal breaded and friend and placed on top of the yellow tortilla chips. I enjoyed the pico de gallo more honestly, but it is a clever idea. I'll have to find the right things to order if I come across this place again. It seems like the fish tacos were a favorite that I should try next time.

Decent prices and great service. Had the honey chipotle shrimp tacos. They were so good I am fighting the urge to drive 5 hours just to have them again! My buddy had the smoked trout and veggies - excellent as well! Really can't go wrong.

Bad service, but great food. They kinda come together and create a good enough experience to eat there. Their catfish and waffle fries are great, and the oyster nachos are divine.

  • Cassie M.

How is it I've not reviewed this place? I've eaten at Fish City numerous times. I tend to always get the same things over and over as I suppose you like what you like so why mess with that? The roasted jalapeno soup is really tasty and for a twist, order the stuffed mushrooms as they use some of that same soup which can be a treat to dip crackers in to finish off as an appetizer. I am also a fan of the Raphaels mexican cocktail-a mug of spicy shrimp and pico salsa with avocodo. They serve it with chips but I like it on saltines more. The oyster nachos are really good-fried oysters on tortilla chips with remoulade and tomatoes, onions. I tend to eat fried oysters or try one of the fish specials that change daily (like grilled salmon or trout or seafood enchiladas). When in season you can get crawfish here. I tried the fish tacos this week and was glad I could get the tilapia grilled versus fried as listed on the menu. I didn't however care that it had cheese and some kind of bacon-y sauce. Just not a typical fish taco, served more like a wrap, well two wraps. It was tasty but I probably wouldn't order them again here. Lots of specialty drinks and good martini's

Not sure what to make about this place, Mexican, no. Louisiana, no. Their food is ok, but don't expect any of them to be authentic

  • Jordan T.

Fish city grill was kind of refreshing, it break up the monotony of all the chains, and fast food crap that litters the mid west. We went here for lunch, and was seated fast with friendly service. The waiter knew the menu and made some good suggestions, including the peach sweet tea, which is very refreshing after a long morning. The salmon was well worth it, and the serving of calamari is a great choice.

  • Daryl B.

First meal for me in a long time at this location. My wife had the Cobb Salad with grilled shrimp, she was not happy with the saltiness of the rub on the shrimp, Aimee out great server, was quick to bring out some large boiled shrimp to replace them. I had the grilled salmon special with rice and streamed veggies. Mine was cooked to perfection. The service was very good and on Sunday they had $3 Bloody Mary's. It was a good visit. (First posted in January 2013 on a duplicate Fish City Grill Yelp site, just noticed there were two.)

  • Vanda H.

I had the $15.99 pasta special. It tasted good but that is all that I got. NO slad, no side, not even bread. Just a medium portion of pasta. I went home and ate a sandwich. I was more than dissapointed. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

  • C K.

Good food, drink specials, and service. Oyster nachos were good. I suggest asking for salad dressing on side if you order a salad.

Always a good stop in the Rogers area. We have never been disappointed here. We mostly visit during the day and can't really speak to the place at night. Some highlights. The cream of jalapeño soup is delicious, gumbo is tasty (best in NWA), Shrimp cocktail is fun, the steamer platters will fill you up and they have lots of different fish to choose from.

  • Vic M.

Fish City offers a great menu of fish items. Most of the dishes I have tried are deep fried. This is a good compromise for hard to get semi-fresh fish. Pros: - Family friendly - Completely casual atmosphere - Large portions - Varied fish selections Cons: - Parking - Cramped waiting area - One-at-a-time bathroom - Inconsistent regular menu items Overall this is an adequate dining experience. The servers are usually friendly and the price is right. Great for lunch or dinner with friends. Fish City delivers what you would expect from a mall restaurant.

  • Adam D.

My favorite place to eat fish in Rogers. Love their fish tacos. You should try them.

Very yummy food. They always have a special entree and beer which is AmaZing! Service was exceptionally good as was price.

  • Phillip C.

Love this place... the Fried Oyster Nachos are amazing - I wasn't sure what to expect, but man was I impressed. Also tried Crab Bisque and Gumbo - both outstanding... as are the Fried Shrimp and Fried Oysters (and the fries AND the slaw!). All in all a great experience, made extra awesome by great staff and service (our server Chelsey was outstanding!) So if l you're in the neighborhood and wondering if this is a good place to stop by - trust me, it is amazing!

  • Maren O.

Good service, quiet atmosphere. I never felt rushed for one moment, even though it took me so long to order something. Like many restaurants these days, they actually had a gluten-free menu and a waitress that knew what that meant. The red beans were a great as an appetizer or side, and the blackened catfish had actual spice to it instead of just being blackened (which some people wrongly think is the way to do it). I will definitely be returning.

    (4)
  • R H.

This place is always good. Fish/oysters as fresh as anywhere in town, and personally I think they are prepared better than some of your fancier places like bonefish and crabbies, where they tend to over cook the fish. 1/2 the price for quality seafood than anywhere else in town!

    (4)
  • Darren F.

Been eating here for awhile. Have always had ok to good service and food. Today we ordered pickup. Could be the sign of a downturn. Worst experience ever food wise. Soggy lukewarm fries, one batch was even under cooked and unseasoned. Their Coleslaw is extremely bland. The topper was probably the worst tasting Fish and Chips I have tasted EVER. The only way they avoided a one today was that we have had ok experiences before. I hope this is not a sign of jumping the shark.

Fish City is one of my favorite places to eat at in NWA. The chipotle shrimp tacos are amazing and they have just added more grilled and broiled fish to the menu for more healthier options. It can get packed quickly since it's a small place, but it's a great for lunch or dinner. Just get there either before 6:30 or after 8 for dinner and you won't have to wait too long.

    (4)
  • Iftikhar K.

Had a good experience thanks to Yelp. Basically ordered the exact same menu that a previous yelper had recommended. Oyster Nachos were pretty good, although a little light on Oysters. I got the shrimp pasta which had a mild kick to it. Tony had fish tacos which looked pretty good.

  • Christina M.

Despite the lack of parking and the small dining space, Fish City is an excellent place to eat, especially if you're already at the Pinnacle Mall. The Shrimp and Andouille Mac and Cheese is FANTASTIC! It's a great place to meet friends and grab a drink too. The staff is friendly and service is good, for the most part. It doesn't feel like a chain restaurant, which is especially nice.

    (4)
  • Steve Q.

Love the personality. The bartender is friendly person who's been there a while and I'm sure he brings people back.

    (4)
  • Michelle K.

Mixed feelings! I always have terrible service unless I'm sitting at the bar. The wait staff has been more then bad. I went with 2 girls and before getting my drink order I was greeted at my table by 5 waiters/waitresses telling me they will be right back to take my order. My drink orders were generally wrong. They have a frozen margarita machine where flavor is added after pouring but certian times or days they won't serve certain flavors which is really stupid. If you are going for a drink, sit at the bar. The food is too good to really complain.

I am a huge fan of Fish City Grill. From grilled salmon, Maryland crab cakes, to yes, even the fried pickles, I have found many items that I love and never bore me. The gumbo is always excellent and a great starter. Now, the only thing I am not a fan of are the various sauces they have with the many fish dishes they make, but this is not a bad thing, just personal choice. They are famous for their Oyster nachos, which I have yet to try, but every time I go with a friend or group of people, that is the first thing ordered. Be wary of the time that you go. This is a very sought after establishment and can be packed. The longest wait I have had is around 45 minutes. Yes, it was worth it.

    (4)
  • Linda C.

We will go back. It was lazy day at the mall with the girls. We had the fried pickles to start. They were crispy, hot and had great flavor. The service was great. My water class was never empty, but I did not feel rushed. Had the roasted jalapeño soup. My friend have a salad that had shrimp with feta. We both ate ever bit. The music was good as well, load enough to hear, but not so load you had to yell to chat.
