We had been to Ari's on the way back from Crater of Diamonds yesterday. If you are not looking for it, this place can be a little difficult to spot but you should make it your destination if you are around for sure. I wasn't expecting much from a small town restaurant but Ari's impressed me more than any restaurant ever has. I had the best Italian food I had ever had at a very reasonable price and the service was very warm and personal. The waitress made a note of all our personalization requests and made sure the food was just the way we wanted it. Everything we ordered tasted yum. The Rigatoni Arrabiata was so delicious that I might actually consider driving 500 miles just to have it again. It is unfortunate that I don't live close by to visit Ari's often :( But, I promise to stop by every time I am near Glenwood, AR.

I tried this place on my way through Glenwood the other day. Service: Quite friendly. The server was attentive and friendly. Food: I had the fettuccini Carbaoura. I'm not sure if they meant carbonara or not. If so, it was not right, since carbonara has raw egg that is cooked on the hot pasta. In any event, it was good regardless. It was basically fettuccini alfredo with olives, onions and ham. It was tasty, though needed a little salt and parmesan cheese. The bread was quite good, and served with a tomato dipping sauce. The sauce was good, though a bit too salty. Overall I liked it, and the value was pretty decent for the food amount and quality. I would return!

We have eaten here at least 5 times and we have never been disappointed. The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. The warm yeast rolls with marinara sauce, veggie pizza, meat sauce, eggplant and chicken parmesan, alfredo sauce, salad w/ house dressing are all great! One of the best pizzas we have had; one of the best Italian restaurants we have eaten at. It is good enough to drive from Hot Springs, when visiting, to eat there.

The food was delicious! spaghetti and meatballs veal parmigiana and crispy cold side salad with baby croutons. The bring out the bread, warm and it comes with the marinara..oh so yummy and the even refill the bread and marinara. Just hubby and me this time so we got some to go orders for our kids ($3.99) kids plate and we picked up a couple of things that we hadn't got to try so for dinner. We all ate off each others plates and tried different pasta dishes, homemade pasta, and the marinara did I say it was awesome it was awesome I will definitely make the trip back out there the people were very nice the owner was out there watching a soccer game and when I asked what a specially was of the house he popped up and was happy to tell me all about it. On the was the have featured and the way he described the stuff mushrooms I assist got some even though I hate mushrooms. I will say most of the desserts are not made in house , I asked the waitress because Castillo was on the menu but at times he will make a creme brulee from scratch but it was not on the menu for today so didn't get to try the desserts but I would highly recommend this family friendly small restaurant to anyone that wants real Italian food! it was awesome just in case I didn't say that before it was an awesome dinner.

We always stop here after hiking or canoeing in the area. The owner is always there and the food is fresh and always prepared perfectly. You can't find better Italian in Arkansas. The prices are small town but the food is not. Ask the owner about the specials. He will tell you exactly how everything is prepared and make your mouth water. They bring wonderful bread complimentary while you wait on your order which never takes long. I come to the area often and can't get myself or family to go to any other restaurant.

Great food for such a small town. Good service and a nice menu. One of the better places I've been to in Glenwood.

Fantastic food for great prices! So glad we stopped in for dinner (and 3 desserts!) tonight. It was a delicious experience! My only complaint is how hard the benches are. Honerable mentions go out to the house dressing, dinner 'rolls', and both flavors of creme brulee.

What a nice surprise! House dressing is delicious. Bread is sinful. Glad we happened upon it.

You don't know what you have GLENWOOD!!! Have moved from Arkansas to Napa, California... and have yet to find a Italian food as good as this...close ...BUT NOTHING COMPARES to your Eggplant or Chicken Parmesan! and the bread and marinara sauce WOW!...and the price point ...you could eat weekly! I know we did almost every day at Thanksgiving visit... they saw allot of orders from GUS... The owner and his family work it daily and will visit you to make sure your visit was a EXCELLENT one... GREAT STAFF!

This is one of the best places I've ever eaten. Where I live (Napa Valley) some of the best resturants in the world on my door step. When I get the chance to visit Glenwood, I make every opportunity to eat at Little Italy!! Food quality is amazing, There is a standard list of pasta and pizza choices. But the chef at Little Italy is always trying new things. Little Italy could hold it's on in North Beach area of San Francisco. If you're traveling through or spending the night in Glenwood, eat at least one meal at Little Italy....you won't be sorry. PS. Glenwood is in a "dry" county so your favorite vino is not available...but it's not their fault...there is no alcohol sales in the county.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
